Great local foods that change daily. TIP: They start to close around 1:30PM & in order to get rid of their food, they pile on the left-overs & sell them for a mere $3.00.

I would sometimes make the drive over the Koolau's to Enchanted Lakes on my day off just to get Blossom's food. I loved their specials, especially when they had ginger pork, adobo, chili, or jambalaya. I knew that I had to be there at least by 10:30 am, or they would start running out of food. The last several times, they were almost completely out of food by then, so I started coming earlier: 10 am, 9:30 am. And even then, they were out of most everything. Couldn't justify making that long drive anymore not knowing if the trip would be for nothing. Other customers that came in then were also disappointed and left. Maybe I'll try them again some day, but for now, I can only give them 3 stars. Too bad, because the food is good, but they just don't make enough of it!

so happy i found this place!!! prices are good and portions are generous. i got the last corn beef hash and it was yummy. this is perfect food to take to Lanikai beach or Kailua beach right down the road which is exactly what we did. i tried my friend's sesame chicken and it was dry so i don't recommend that...get the korean chicken instead. the fried noodles were also good and i liked the chicken long rice too. i think i'll pass on the chicken eggplant next time cuz it was way too sweet. i don't like it when it taste like candy but my friend liked it. the place is kind of hard to find. it's behind Safeways in the strip mall in Enchanted lakes so you have to drive around the back. good thing my cousin lives in Kailua cuz i was looking all over the place for it.

Since this is the only Okazuya place to grind in Kailua you have to be grateful their still open. The food is ok, and the prices are resonable compared to other Okazuya places. The people serving are really nice and helpful.

This is my go to when I'm craving okazu. Love their sesame chicken, chicken long rice, and shrimp tempura. I suggest you go early, this place sells out pretty quickly and they're only open until 2pm ( or earlier if they sell out). They have pre-made bento sets which are good for kids going on field trips. A small sesame chicken plate (which includes one scoop rice, one scoop mac salad, and a pretty good amount of chicken) will run you about $7. They have specials too, but those alternate pretty frequently. Cash only, and closed on Sunday and Mondays.

Next to the Friday steak plate line at Times this is one of the last bastions of local culture left in Kailua. You won't find a Lululemon wearing, Whole Foods mongering, trust fundarian Wanderlust Festival habitué within miles of this place...THANK GOD! It's not even technically in Kailua, but Enchanted Lake by the movie theatre. You know this place is local when you see a mountain of spam musubi-s when you walk in the door. That is one of the highlights of this mom and pop'. Thick cut spam with a nice ratio of rice to meat. They also have many assorted tempuras, fried chickens, hashes, and a chicken musubi for those who aren't ready to graduate to spam. The phenomenon that never fails to impress me is the youngish girly-girl cashier who smartly handles all the working class patrons...the kind with the orange shirt with the long sleeves. "WAIT YOUR TURN!" the young girl tells the man who starts showing 'tude. He sheepishly lowered his head and waited his turn. He knows better, she'll probably bus' you up with her Hello Kitty bag. Mostly patrons show respect. Meanwhile, aunties are in the back almost endlessly making wonderful local style breakfast savory dishes. As a note, if you don't get here by 7 am, you won't get as wide of a choice because these morsels get snapped up quick! Important notes are that this place is closed on Mondays and is cash only.

Went to Blossoms the other day for an early Saturday morning breakfast. Typical okazuya set up...nice girl helped me. It was clean on the inside and the food looked real good. I had cone sushi, tempura shrimp, Korean chicken, vegetable tempura, hash patty, and noodles. The cone sushi was 'juicy' but didn't have as much flavor as I wanted it to have. The tempura shrimp was good...it had nice puffy sweet batter on it. The Korean chicken was probably the best thing I had there. Really crispy and juicy....it had super good flavor. The vegetable tempura and the hash patty was good as well. My least favorite was the noodles. It was sort of like a dry saimin and it had lots of ingredients mixed in...but it didnt have a lot of flavor. I will be back for the chicken...and to try the poke! 3.5 stars

Yummy! I use to come here a lot in high school, the ready made bentos or make your own are all delicious. Recently came here before heading to the beach. I got a order made bento, a hot dog, chicken, Teri beef, rice and corn beef hash. No complaints. Cash only. Bummer.

Awesome place! Good food with great service! Food reminds me of how my grandmother made my lunches for me when I was growing up. Keep up the great work!

Blossom's Okazuya is located in the Keolu Shopping Center (behind Safeway). I think it may be the only okazuya in Kailua :) I've been coming here for years and one thing I've learned and it's to make sure you go early! They run out of their hash by 10, and lots of the lunch items are gone by 12. They have the usual musubi, sushi (cone, maki and crab), hamburger, long rice, vegetable tempura and on certain days they have andagi. Their specialty is sesame chicken which is a family favorite. Their Korean chicken is great, but it's great because it's mostly all crispy skin. (I said great, I didn't say healthy.) There is a different lunch special every day. They also have seasoned soybeans (edamame), poke, and poi (but I can't seem to figure out which days they are available.) It's a great place to pick up a bento if you're going to the beach. Just make sure you get there early enough! ***Closed on Mondays. Yelp 365 Challenge #4/365

CASH ONLY If I could bring one place from Hawaii to Seattle it would be Blossom's Okazuya :( I miss it so much. Its open early around 6AM and quick! Go in, get your spam musubi, mochiko chicken, chicken long rice, and Portuguese Sausage musubi and head out to school or work. I haven't eaten anything not tasty but those are my favorites. Everything is decently priced also! When I come back home to Kailua and plan on a beach day, I head here, pick up some great food and then head on to the beach and enjoy!

3 out of the last 5 of my jobs were just a few minutes away, and I would often come here before work and literally try to inhale my food, with chop sticks while driving to work. hahah.. mmmm yah! Everything is SOO good, the squash soup, long rice noodles with chicken, choi sum, shoyu chicken, sushi rolls, bentos, cone sushi, sesame chicken... its all good. Go and support this local family ran Okazuya (enuff I-Hops, Dennys and McDonalds already), get there early though all the best stuffs run out quick... go check um, go check um, go!

I have only been here three times but so far so good. I love the fact that it is only Okazuya places in Kailua. The food is pretty tasty. I love the corned beef hash patties. The other selections are just as good as well. I've ordered the different musubi's, Shoyu Chicken, Shoyu Hotdog, and other various items. The prices are very decent. They open at 6:00am in the morning on the weekdays which is good for me. I love bringing Okazuya for Breakfast!

There really isn't anything I don't like except that they're not open every day.

There isn't anything here that I won't eat. You do need to go early; like by 11 before the lunch crowd. The also sell fresh poke!!!

Vegetable tempura!!! Nuff said!! Haha...ok but seriously, I LOVE their vegetable tempura!!! You gotta get there early cuz they run out of food, so if your craving certain things (vegetable tempura) go early!!! I even got my coworkers hooked on their food...oneday I was running superlate so I decided to bribe them with food...thankfully they still had vegetable tempura left and the rest was history! In fact, when a coworker moved back to the mainland, she specifically asked to have one last breakfast in the office with food from Blossoms!! Other awesome food choices (yessss I don't only eat the vegetable tempura): Garlic chicken Sweet Potato tempura Corned beefhash patty Cone sushi Eggs kamaboko/green onion Mmmmmm....I wish they served dinner cuz now I'm hungry!!!

Every morning we make the trek over the H3 to the Windward side to take my daughter to school. Since we get up at the crack of dawn, it's really hard for me to get jazzed up about cooking breakfast every morning. It's hard enough getting everyone ready and out the door in an hour, let alone having to think about cooking eggs, bacon and the like. And one can only eat so much microwavable pancakes and cereal before they are over it so Blossoms is a nice treat for me and my daughter. She gets spam musubi and I order my regular, a musubi with ume and green onion egg -delish! She's able to enjoy and finish her spam musubi in one fell swoop as we enter the gates of her school. As for me, I've perfected my driving and eating skills over the years so I am able to manage a musubi and my green onion egg with the finesse of a skilled grand prix racer and a food connoisseur.

I've been going to Blossom's since they were located across HIC in Kailua town, and even now in Keolu. They've only gotten BETTER! My current favorites are the Korean fried chicken. and their Chili. The furukaki musubi and the mochiko chicken musubi are always delicious too. I must say that I've tried Korean chicken all over the island, and Blossom's makes it the BEST! Blossom's is always a favorite stop for our work crews in the morning.

Ive herd great reviews @ Blossoms but my experience wasnt so good due to the fact there was hair in my noodles.... And they wanted me to choose another item but it was ruined. Then person working didnt want to refund my money. I dont know of I would give it another try..
