Diabetics at Jamba Juice:

Eating good food at the right time can control your blood sugar, also stop you from craving wrong sort of food. Jamba Juice offers drinks in three separate sizes: 16, 24, and 32-ounce. You can choose the lowest serving size and cut down on sugars and calorie intake. If you're diabetic and concerned about the sugar intake, then you can opt for the smaller 9.5-ounce smoothies available for kids at Jamba Juice.

Foods to Avoid at Jamba Juice for Diabetics:

Jamba Juice is primarily known for its highly satisfying and nutritive smoothies and juices. Almost every smoothie and juice item on the Jamba Juice menu contains sugar. Diabetics are recommended to opt for smaller serving size while ordering at Jamba Juice. Also, avoid opting for creamy treats as all the smoothies offered in this category contain a load of sugars.

Keep the sugar content below 50g per meal at Jamba Juice and ensure that you don't follow it with a heavy meal. A small size regular smoothie is equivalent to a meal for everyone. Classic smoothies at Jamba Juice are also heavily loaded with sugars. Stay away from that section if you are a diabetic.

I recently stopped by here on my way to work because I forgot my breakfast. I ordered the spinach and cheese wrap. It seemed like a healthy option with low calories and high fiber. I was thinking it would be like the spinach-feta wrap at Starbucks - edible but nothing great. It was much worse. I only tasted plastic. I think the eggs, cheese and spinach were actually plastic and the wrap was made of cardboard. I had a couple of bites and could not get rid of the taste or unsettled feeling in my stomach all day. I have had Jamba smoothies on occasion and they have been fine - edible at least. As I've become more informed nutritionally, I now prefer organic local fruits and veggies, so Jamba is not on my radar anymore. After this experience, I do not anticipate going back.

I am glad that I got to use my buy one smoothie and get one free since I did a survey. This does help with what needs to improve and make it better. They were very helpful with my order and when I saw that the mini blueberry mini scones were out, the girl was very good with checking if they had any and she said yes we have them, which was very fabulousness as ever. I have to say thanks for checking to see if they have it because I cannot imagine not having my 3 blueberry mini scones with my smoothies and I would really be out of it and it's not going to be the same without it. I am glad to say that this jamba juice is one I go to sometimes because if I am in the area, I would go so that way I can focus on what I set to do for the day and get things done. Don't get me wrong, when I was going to KCC in the morning, I would get off the bus and stop by before going to school in the morning and I would actually be on time. So I do thank you for making sure that the forks were refilled and checking on the mini blueberry scones so that it will be in the food display so people that want the scones will say they do have them.

After doing some errands I really wanted to try an acai bowl. I came in and one of the workers were moving all over the place that I wasn't sure whether or not he was going to help. He finally took down my order. For a sixteen acai bowl, that's quite a lot. So this is my first acai bowl and I heard that I should've tried it at Blue Hawaii. Oh well too late now. After this bowl I'm not sure if I want to try another one. ( yelp.com/biz_photos/jamb… ) I liked that there was banana slices but once I mixed it up, I saw that it had banana berry underneath. Nothing wrong with the flavor but that's what everyone's' been talking about? (I know now that I went to the wrong place for my first try) It's one of those, "it's really good... Oh... I'm over it." By the time I had eaten up all the banana slices the rest was melted and no longer appealing.

7.27.13. It's been sooo hot lately & I've been craving for a Jamba Juice...I finally made my way down to this location to get a JJ fix! Thank goodness for all of the JJ cards I have--free "meal" for the day! haha. My usual is an Original Strawberry Surfrider with either a Vita or Immunity boost. I would say this JJ is the perfect one for summer--it's like a frozen lemonade--tart & super yum! :) In my opinion...this location's version was ok...a little watery? I still enjoyed it on this hot Aloha Friday :) Yelp 365 Challenge: #208/365

This place is just like any other Jamba Juice out there. There isn't anything really special about it. They provide good service and get my orders right and to me quickly. It gets pretty crowded just because its located in the central business district but other than that, you can see a lot of noticeable people there such as mayor Mufi Hanneman.

Not much to really say... if you've never been to a juice bar before, then where have you been :-) I decided to add a review for the gang at Jumba Juice in downtown because I see them a lot when I go through my smoothie phases. The crew there are very cool and they are fast. Then again, I suppose they have to when they are the only Jumba Juice in downtown. They're always busy, but always upbeat.

VERY VERY disappointed in the staff of this jamba juice. it is a shame since i live across the street and now i have to think twice before coming because the service i received today sucked. this jamba juice location is really busy during the early mornings so i went a little later around 10 AM to get my oatmeal and juice combo. at arrival there was only one customer and he was waiting for his drink. i stood by the register to get help. the guy making the smoothie did not acknowledge me and the girl washing dishes came towards my way only to open the window to talk to her friends who were smoking outside. what?! i waited for a few more minutes and a girl from the back came out and asked if i was helped. even she wasn't very friendly and rushed through my order. the smoothie maker guy was ridiculously slow. dude, it's downtown, people have places to go and things to do! also, he skimped on my oatmeal and forgot the brown sugar. you guys discard the oatmeal in an hour, can't even spare another half a scoop to fill the cup?!?! i left feeling very let down since i've always had a positive experience until today. what a shame.

Over the years, I had avoided Jamba Juice because of how many calories a smoothie contains...especially when it is made with a yogurt base. However, when I'm hankerin' for a sweet treat and still want to feel good about myself, I find that going with a 100% fruit smoothie with no yogurt base is a good choice for me. I love the Berry upBeet smoothie. I also love that Jamba Juice is located on the main floor of my office building and as a Bankoh employee, we get a 10% discount :-)

I usually come to this Jamba Juice a few times a week and couldn't be more satisfied. The manager Maka is really friendly and he or one of his team has my drink ready pretty much before I pay for it. Def a great and healthy alternative for a midday snack. I'm a fan.

It was the first time I came here in a long while. Normally I would go to McDonald's Fort Street Mall on my way to work in Kalihi, if I did not eat breakfast at home. It was a refreshing change from the fast food junkie that I had become during the breakfast wars. As convenient as the McDonalds was on Fort Street Mall was, I had to make time to walk down from Hotel Street to Merchant Street and think about the time and not have to be late for work. The hustle and bustle of downtown Honolulu was evident, but checking into this Jamba Juice versus the sometimes chaotic McDonalds was a refreshing change of pace - not to mention a healthier one too. On previous sporadic visits to Jamba, not necessarily this location, I would get a original banana berry smoothie to quench my thirst. That's usually my go to smoothie. For this location in the work day mornings, it is the 16 oz oatmeal. I tend to like the pecan mix that they have going there, although the blueberry one is tasty too. Basically health on a budget comes here and not at a fast food restaurant, if you can help it. The prices are streamlined throughout the franchises, so it's consistent with everyone of the Jamba Juice locations around urban Honolulu and throughout Hawaii. Every location is abuzz with customers and the loud blenders mixing awesome concoctions that are sweet and healthy. While I try to come here once a week, it's great to have Jamba to spearhead your health and live healthy. There's plenty of options to choose from, so pick one and sample as you come here daily or weekly. You'll find your favorite eventually. I like the banana berry. Pretty awesome! Support local! B

It's Jamba Juice! What makes this one special is that it's by work. And I can walk here. From work. And it's in walking distance. But in the middle of summer, walking here is pretty much like walking on the beach with no sunblock. And realizing you forgot your sunglasses in the car. It's a somewhat backhanded blessing in disguise though, because once you get here, all drenched in sweat, an order of Jamba Juice seems that much more appealing. Except if you order their Acai Bowl. Then you'll have to make sure that you don't drip all over it, while trying to cool off from your urban trek to get there. Once again, my drink of choice is the Orange Dream Machine, with a shot of Daily Vitamin. I think it's healthy because of the vitamin? I looked up the calories one time. Around 300 for the smallest size. Around 600 for the biggest? Not sure, but when I'm craving for a sip, the Count is out and Cookie Monster is in. NOM NOM NOM NOM. Although I heard a rumor that Cookie Monster has been defanged and no longer eats cookies. Lame. He's just a big blue hair rug now. With stoner eyes. And check the lid for excess mush. Last time I was here, the excess spilled all over my shirt. I ended up walking around downtown, looking like I didn't know how to use the bathroom. Good times.

The turnover of staff at this downtown location is very quick! I'm not sure if that's why the service is so unpredictable and spotty. Sometimes the Jamba staff is quick and polite, and other times they are rude as slow. Most times, slow--even when I try to avoid morning and lunchtime rushes. Today, I stood at the cash register as two of the staff looked at me and ignored me. I waited a full minute before my existence was acknowledged--if only to ask me to wait. Some more. To their credit, the nice young guy who made my smoothie was very efficient and extremely polite. Is it just me, or are smoothies and acai bowls extra watery at this location? The melt rate is way faster than any Jamba Juice I've had at any other location--even on a burning hot day!

The staff here are sooooo nice! Other than that, this place is like any other Jamba Juice in Hawaii. As this Jamba is located in Hawaii, its got some Hawaii items such as Acai bowls! My favorite item on the menu here is the Primo Acai Bowl... Ingredients: +Great granola w/ Flaxseed +Coconut flakes +Sliced bananas +Blueberries +Fresh honey +Acai also, of course They also serve steel cut oatmeal, which is pretty rare and awesome for smoothie place. Although I've never ordered it, it's nice to know that it's an option on their menu!

Jamba Juice is a national chain that I'm pretty sure you are familiar with. Jamba Juice makes smoothies, acai bowls, and they have some sandwiches and baked items. You know. However, within a particular Jamba Juice there can be good or bad customer service, and that can completely transform your experience. The Jamba Juice in the Bank of Hawaii building in downtown Honolulu is the bee's knees. No joke, I came here for the convenience but I pretty much come here every day for the customer service (okay, and the convenience too). The lines can get ridiculous, and they always send a cashier to take your order while you are waiting in line to help alleviate the frustration. After waiting in a long line, they always thank you for waiting. They have never failed to repeat my order to ensure it is correct, and they literally smile at me every time. There are like three Jamba Juices at Ala Moana (which I should write reviews of) and they must be overworked, poor dears, because they never smile, they seem constantly confused, and one in three times get my order wrong. One time they got my order wrong three times on the same visit--and still charged me. I mention this bad experience only to emphasize that my little Jamba downstairs at Bank of Hawaii is really delightful, filled with good people, and its worth waiting in the long line. PS-I never get the same thing, but the apples n greens smoothie is underrated!

It get's busy here since it's the only one for people in that work downtown but the line moves pretty quickly. I've never had any trouble with getting my order wrong yet. The service is great and the staff is very friendly, if they don't know me by name they know me by face. I used to avoid Jamba Juice because the smoothies were really heavy but they recently came out with make it light versions that are perfect for me. They also seem to be running a lot of bogo or scratch and win specials lately which is a plus.

I hate going into a place & all of the staff just have a poor attitude expression on their face. I LOVE Jamba's Chocolate Berry Bowl and their Four Cheesy Flatbread...usually the experience is alright. Nothing out of the ordinary. One day on my lunch i went & ordered the Choc.Berry Bowl & The Four Cheesy. Well, they made the four cheesy & the guy i ordered to brought it out to the front & looked at me & said "your four cheesy flatbread" SO...like anyone with a brain, i went to grab it. then this employee named Melanie & looked at me & said "are you ___ (a customers name)?" i said "Oh no" Melanie said "Yeahh...this isn't yours" WTF seriously. Even though this Jamba Juice is close to my work place, i rather not go there anymore. If any of my co-workers go, I'll ask them to get my order. Other then that...not going.

I think it's the only jamba juice in downtown. It's alright and I will always print out the receipt because I don't know if they heard my order or what but its noisey because of the blenders and I go there usually for breakfast so I'm too tired to speak louder.

Oh Jamba Juice...how you fill my belly with your assorted cold smoothies, baked products, and flat breads! Your smoothies are good on a cold day, or when I am feeling guilty for eating a bad for you meal the night before! Located in the Financial Plaza of the Pacific (Bank of Hawaii), it offers a convenient spot to grab a quick meal on the go and you are in downtown Honolulu. They offer their regular Jamba Juice menu and the staff are pretty quick to get your order done so that you can be on your way. The wait times aren't insanely bad, however you may want to plan a few extra minutes if you go during the lunch hour rush. Are their smoothies any different from the other locations? Nope. Definitely not. If you want something sweet and refreshing, figure out what your taste buds are craving and figure out the smoothie that you might want. If the mood for carbs or something "more filling" should strike, check out their flat breads which are quite tasty and filling or perhaps a pretzel or a cheddar tomato twist which happens to be my favorite. Why the cheddar tomato twist? It's essentially a pretzel with a tomato based sauce that offers a nice sweet tone while the salty-ness of the cheese is a really nice complement. Plus, the carbs create the impression my stomach is full!

Coupon Days are CRAZY. There are lines and then there are LINES. Longest I've seen at this downtown JJ is out the door towards BOH. I have to go and come back because I won't stand in line that long. Fast staff if not the absolute brightest. Friendly if lacing in other areas. Always good for a bite or a smootie though when in downtown.

Orange Carrot Karma is the best smoothie to order here at this Jamba Juice. After eating some greasy lunches in Downtown, coming over here to drink Orange Carrot Karma will make anybody feel so much better. Order the Power size to split into two cups, so that you can get two 16 oz smoothies for way cheaper. Orange Carrot Karma is very orange in color and may sound slightly disturbing in flavor, but don't be afraid of it's taste; it has a prominent flavor of bananas and refreshing carrot blended nicely together. It's made with orange juice, carrot juice, mangos, bananas, and ice.

Jamba means 'Party' in some language, or so I'm told. This Jamba Juice is a party. A party where downtown people remain straight faced and make sure their personal space is at least an arms length away. A party where you check to see what everyone else's drink are. A party where you can't wait to leave. And that's the kind of party this place is. They're quick, friendly and keep you going along your day. Yay! I'm a fan.

When did smoothies get so damn expensive? Long lines, in the morning, no parking but it's a good spot if you work near this area. I like listening to all the women say they're not going to eat since they had a smoothie. So stupid.

A lot of us will be motivated to write a review based on bad service/quality, but I'm taking the time to write something good about this venue (to counteract the sea of negativity in the universe). I always frequent this location when I feel like skipping lunch - or when I feel like feeling like drinking a sugary smoothie will keep me on the straight-and-narrow path toward a better BMI. Their staff always remembers my name and what my usual order is. They're very friendly and sometimes will even bring your order out to the table where you're sitting. While the lines here can get long - I've seen it get up to 30 people in line - they usually can get your juice to you in less than 10 minutes.

I have been going to this Jamba Juice for a while and the service there was acceptable until today. I got there a few minutes before 7am and saw 1 employee making an acai cup and 2 employees walking to the back. I stood at the register for about 2 minutes until I was acknowledge by the 1 employee on the floor telling me someone will be right with me. Another employee comes out and says "what can I get for you?" in a dead pan voice. I ordered my oatmeal in the same way she spoke. When I got my oatmeal, the employee that rang me up said "have a nice day" in the same dead pan voice and I replied "thank you." As I walked through the door to go to Starbucks, the employee said "wow, bah humbug yeah?" After I got my coffee from Starbucks next door, I asked for the manager, but there was no one on duty, just a supervisor. I asked for the business card of the manager and they "could not find it." I asked for the business card of the regional manager and same thing.

I was never much of a Jamba Juice person. In fact, I have to be honest and say that this review is not about their drinks. I've been there for their oatmeal. Yes, oatmeal. To me, oatmeal is just that, oatmeal: a rather bland breakfast food. My favorite form of oatmeal is when it's baked into a cookie. And to top it off, paying over $3?! Good thing I had a $1 coupon. So why not try it out? Steel-cut oats? Slow-cooked for 45 minutes? The topping I got the 1st time was the apple cinnamon with brown sugar crumble. It was good, but as the flavor is too overpowering, I mixed it all together. Much better. But at the end, it felt like too much sweetness. I was eating an apple pie for breakfast. I also tried my wife's blueberry-blackberry with brown sugar crumble. Yummy too, but had to mix it in. I like the color. The texture of the steel-cut oats is very nice. It was good enough that I went again to get more for $1 each. Wifey got the b-b again and this time I got the banana with brown sugar crumble. This is the best one. Tastes very natural, not too sweet, good crunch with the crumble. I live within walking distance to this Jamba Juice and it makes me feel even healthier for walking it. It's too bad the coupon isn't valid anymore. I just don't love oatmeal enough for $3 per 4oz.

Today when I visited seemed as there was a office field trip. The place was crazy busy and folks were mingling, so they all was from the same business. Despite the crowd, service was fast. I liked the efficiency of operations. It's apparent employees flow together to get customer orders prepared. I'm surprised, but not really... I do wish they offered multiple sizes for the pitaya/acai bowls since it's too much to consume in one sitting !

I was disappointed today when I ordered a 16oz Orange Dream and the girl poured it in the cup and it was 2 inches short. I ask her why is it not filled to the top. She me that the cup was bigger than 16 oz .. BS . The drink cost so much you would think they fill it to the top... Don't go to this store. They will short change your drink without apology ...Rick
