Came here after morning walk/jog for the breakfast buffet. For $18, its not a bad spread. The usual starch selection, including oatmeal, grits, rice. Also includes miso soup, daikon, bread pudding. I noticed that they had the crispy bacon separated from the soft bacon. The service is friendly and coffee refills are frequent. Also, they now have a Sunday brunch buffet, started in May for 29. That has crab legs, omelet station, and other great looking items.

"Just because your plate is empty, doesn't mean your stomach is full." The Queen's Court Restaurant is located within the Hilo Hawaiian hotel, quite inconspicuously. And yet, on any given day, you will find a packed house, with mixture of both locals and visitors dining here. Now, that may be because it's got a waterfront view while you dine, but it could also have a little bit to do with the great assortment of food that they serve. At the Queen's Court, it is always an option to order a particular dish of food. However, anyone who knows anything knows that when you come here, you go for the all-you-can-eat buffet option. As I recall, for this option it's about $40 a head, but let me tell you, if you take advantage of that buffet, it is well worth it. Queen's Court isn't just your typical buffet, either. The food that they serve is of pretty high quality, from the crab legs to the prime rib cuts. There is also a large assortment of other dishes that you can choose from (and I mean LARGE). I have yet to try one of everything that is available to you, so I'd say that says something good about the amount of food they serve. Even with all of that food that they serve to you in the main buffet, the dessert buffet is not too shabby either. I could go on and on about all the delectable treats that they serve, but the one constant thing that is most definitely the highlight of the dessert buffet is the soft-serve ice cream machine. Although it was only working for vanilla the last time I went, there normally are a few flavors that you may choose from, along with a ton of other toppings that you can put on it. Whether you're a local or someone just visiting, with a small group or a large one, you should definitely check out the Queen's Court Restaurant.

I ate the dinner buffet. It was awesome. Food was on point both the local (klaua pig, lomi salmon etc...) as well as the prime rib and crab legs( which I don't eat but my wife and kids cleaned them out).

I stayed at the Hilo Hawaiian for 5 nights on business. I had breakfast at the Queen's Court Restaurant every morning during my stay. The restaurant overlooks the bay, which is a real treat to start your day. They offer two buffet styles - either the continental (fruit, pastries, cereal, yogurt, etc) or the full buffet which includes hot items like eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausage. There were a lot of options, even if you just chose the continental breakfast. I was pleased with the food at breakfast, as well as the staff. Great brewed coffee at breakfast (of course), and the staff was willing to give you a disposable travel cup at no extra charge. I did not have lunch or dinner at the restaurant.

I was a guest at the Sunday brunch buffet. I would go back another time and pay, so I guess that's worth 4 stars. Unlimited mimosa's are included in the price. The view can't be beat. I would suggest going early because some of the food does sit out all morning and obviously it's going to be most delicious when it first goes onto the buffet than after it's been sitting there a few hours.... soggy eggs benedict, I'm talking about YOU :) Did I mention unlimited mimosas are included in the price? They're not mixing the mimosas for you with fresh OJ or anything, so don't get too excited, they're a pre-mixed mimosa poured directly out of a bottle, but did I mention they're unlimited and included in the price ?? Another reason to go early.

First of all, I did not do the weekend buffet at this place. My mom, husband and I had a meal off their weekday dinner menu. What I really liked about Queen's Court was the service. We were greeted by a warm smile to start off and treated very well throughout dinner. Having said that, the food here is pretty bad. The sweet roll you get before your food comes out is probably the best I have ever had. I wish they gave us more than one tiny piece each person. And that sweet roll was the highlight of the meal. From there it was downhill. Poke furikake appetizer was okay but nothing like we all expected. The poke was fully cooked. Now onto the entrees.....I ordered seafood pasta. which was blah. The spinach fettuccine really didn't go well with the sauce and the seafood at all. My mom's big island stir fry was the worst. The sauce was way too sweet. My husband's steak was such a cheap quality also. The portion here is huge and you prob wouldn't be able to finish half of your meal. They do give you a generous amount of seafood too but overall we paid over $100 for one appetizer and 3 entrees, which were all below average. I would recommend you not to waste your money here and go somewhere else.

Beware, even if you have a reservation, You may not be dining at this establishment. First, I requested a reservation through their website. When I did not receive a response after two submissions, I called. I mentioned that I submitted the reservation through their website a couple days earlier; the response was"I don't think anyone has checked the website." The representative stated she would take my reservation at that time. She was pleasant and repeated my reservation back to me. When we showed up, Sue, the manager could not find my reservation. After waiting several minutes, we were told they were fully booked and could not accommodate us. I was very embarrassed as my family and friends left in search for another dining location.

Worth it! Paid $44 on a Friday seafood night and made my money's worth delicious crab legs and prime Rib! Poke was awesome too! Our bfs had unlimited miller lite draft and us ladies had unlimited wine! Desserts was a 3 star (not that great) Some waitresses were rude but some were nice.

I'm a couple of months behind writing a review for Queen's Court Restaurant, but better late than never. My husband & I joined our neighbors for dinner on New Years Eve here. It was pretty packed, but it was NYE. Luckily my neighbor called ahead of time & made reservations, so we were able to sit down right when we got there. Food was very delicious. Lots of different variety from crab legs, to prime rib, pork, pasta, etc. Their dessert bar is amazing!!! But it might just be me because I have a big sweet tooth. My husband loved that the wine/mimosas was unlimited. I gave this place a 4 star only because it is kind of pricey. I want to say it was $45 a person the night of NYE, but I'm not too sure since our neighbors treated us out. I just know it was expensive. I wouldn't mind coming back here again. I want to try out their breakfast buffet.

I enjoyed the set up and the service was friendly. The prime rib was perfectly flavored, crab legs were good and they even offered various other hot entree's Hawaiian food laulau, Kalua pig, poi, lomi salmon & seafood luau. Salad bar, Poke station w/oysters in a half shell shrimp cocktail cold crab legs and sashimi as well. 3-juice station and the dessert table cheese cakes, frozen yogurt bar, coco puffs and many other sweets. BTW all you can drink wine and draft beer! Way worth the price $42.00 a head and will definitely return! Free parking is a plus!

We indulged in the Sunday breakfast buffet (not to be confused with the Sunday brunch, which is served a little later in the morning, has more food, and is more expensive). The food was basic breakfast fare, but I have to say, it was pretty "slim pickings" in terms of selection.
