Far than good burgers! One of the best burgers I have had in a long time. I don't know why a lot of the reviews are bad here though. So first you get in this long line that took forever, then you order through the windows in the front. There are many kind of burgers you can get. Such as double meat, any way you want it to tell you the truth. The seating and the crowd is great there. You can sit inside or outside. Next to it there are also other tables in the shopping areas next to it if you need to. They call you for your order and when I got it it was all correct. Then I took a bite and it was perfect, better than I thought it was going to be. This place beats in n out and many places, if you want a great burger this is totally the place.

Burgers are so good and the onion rings are amazing! Staff is friendly and quick. The guy assembling the burgers is a machine! I've been several times and plan to go back again. Try it Bubbas way! As good as In and Out :)

Great friendly service. The young women behind the counter is clearly a happy and intelligent creature. I got the regular Bubba Burger with Cheese and an order of onion rings. The burger's are small but very good, and the price is excellent at $4. Considering what people charge for chow on Kauai, this is a gem. Check out all the stickers and signs in the indoor seating area - some hilarious stuff: "Spandex is a privilege not a right" "Beer - The reason I get up every afternoon" "No Sniveling"

We went to the location closest to us in Hanalei. The burger was good, if you like McDonald's burgers. It looked and tasted the same exact way. They were also a little small. I would like to try their other burger options, because people seem to love this place. Or, I could be a burger snob. New York can do that to a person.

We generally don't eat burgers during vacay because we try to reserve our appetite and carbs for the local cuisine/flavors (unless we're visiting an all American destination). We decided to go here because we wanted to try the local grass fed beef in Kauai and also because we didn't feel satisfied after eating the small portions of fish next door at Hanalei Gourmet. We ordered a double with onion rings. Although their burgers are on the small side, the grass fed beef was pretty tasty and the onion rings were good. This is a good spot to grab a quick snack after swimming at the beach.

We approached the window, no wait at 5:30 pm last night. Sunday.I asked what is the most requested burger and what do you reccomend? Super friendly service and we got one double burger and one single. A order of the combo onion ring and fries and a pickle. $17.00. took about 10 mins. My first reaction was where is the lettuce, tomato? You get meat, a bun and slathering of a ketchup/ mayo/ relish sauce. The onion rings were very good the fries ok. The huge pickle crunchy and yummy. The meat was cooked perfectly and a nice flavor. The size were on the "think small bun size", I guess when you eat someplace called "Bubbas" you expect bigger? I am not sure if you can get lettuce or toms or other items on request, but it was not offered.

Wherever I travel I make it a point to sit down and enjoy a burger. I tend to travel quite a bit so I have become somewhat of a burger expert. I was very excited to try Bubba's Burger.... The beef was dry. The burger tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for an hour or more. I literally could not believe how unimpressive the entire experience was. I don't suggest trying anything on the menu. Take a pass.

Was on a cruise ship when we stopped in this charming town for a few hours. Most people gain weight when they are on a cruise, however I couldn't wait to get off the boat and find some 'real' food. This place knows how to rock a cheeseburger. OMG - wish I lived closer as this would be my daily hangout. Waited in a line for a bit, however was worth it for the deliciousness that was soon to enter my digestive system. Not sure how I feel about taking another cruise in the future, however if they could serve food as awesome as this place puts out, I would book my next trip immediately. Thanks for the awesome food!

The burgers are not giant, which I love, I ordered my burger in the manner suggested. The chili cheese fries were fabulous. I had lunch here twice during my two week stay.

Read a lot of excellent reviews for this place so I really wanted to try it. I ordered the double bubba, and let me say it tasted exactly like a double cheese burger from McDonald's. The good thing is I paid twice as much for this burger. Not very highly recommended

I really think it's more of a 3.5 - but since that's not possible to rate I rounded up. I highly recommend the fries and onion rings - even for the price. Burgers are small and good, but I wouldn't say great. I'd go again but I just can't rave about it.

Great burgers but be prepared to wait for them. The fries are OK, the rings are great. It's true, if the line goes down the stairs you are staring down at least a 30 minute wait. Is it worth the wait? Ummmm, yes. But only if you have the time. Hang loose. ;-) Make sure you read the cease and desist order and the reply to the right of the cash register. Hilarious.

I was excited to go here after all the great reviews. I do come from cattle country, but I think I'd even go to McDonald's before coming back to bubba's. Really not that great.

Bomb digity. It's all we heard about coming to the island and I was so excited to give California's "In and Out burger" a run for its money.... And they did! I'd have to say I think Bubbas is better! And that's hard to say! We were there for a week and we ate at each (3) Bubbas restaurants on the island but we liked this one the best. The cheeseburger is amazing but the Kauai Special burger with the pineapple will change your life! Can't wait to get back here and have another! Oh and I love how they give you all you can eat ketchup, mayo and mustard :)

Food was pretty darn tasty. My only reason for docking them a star is that it took a solid 10-15 mins for a burger and hotdog. Guess burgers and dogs are on "island too". Anyways I would recommend, just find a nice place to sit and wait.

We loved going here for a quick bite to eat. As far as a greasy, burger stand goes it doesn't get much better. I had the Bubba Burger (single) and my husband had the Teriyaki burger. He thought his was awesome. Meal came out quick and the counters give you a great view for people watching along the main strip of Hanalei.

So, we went to a burger place and didn't get a burger. My friend got the fish sandwich (fresh, not batter dipped) and I got pulled pork ($7) and onion rings ($5). There is also an option for "frings," a mixture of onion rings and fries that is cheaper than an order of onion rings. The pulled pork was flavorful and tasty and the bun toasted on the griddle (love!). It comes with a choice of BBQ sauce or sweet chili sauce for topping. I love me some sweet chili sauce, but would recommend eating it plain or with the BBQ sauce. Does it rival Southern BBQ for this 'Bama girl? Not quite. Is it tasty nonetheless? Yes. The onion rings were absolutely perfect--fresh out of the fryer and perfectly crispy, not hard, not soggy and able to hold up so you don't end up sucking all the onion out, leaving a hollow core of breading. My friend said her fish ($9) was quite good, as well. The location is good, located in the heart of the Hanalei row of eateries and shops, with its own outdoor porch and adjacent picnic tables, in the event your travel companions want to get food from a different place. Like other tourist areas, prices are a little steep for casual food, but we're way out in the middle of the ocean, and many ingredients have to be shipped to the island. Also, to the very nice and friendly girl cleaning up---when I see you wipe the trash cans and then use the same rag to wipe off the condiment dispeners, I die a little inside. Please ask your boss to get you separate rags, in the name of all that is good and healthy. One more up side is that they also offer a vegetarian option in the form of a taro burger. There was a little confusion when a traveler from Europe asked for the "wedgie" burger, but it was straightened out soon enough. Bottom line-- It "kills hungry" as my great grandma used to say and is pretty tasty, to boot. Fun, slightly edgy ambience. Worth a trip, but don't let your eyes get bigger than your stomach.
