This place was a bit of a disappointment. I was greeted at the door nicely and shown to my table. The waiter came to me 10 minutes later and asked me without introduction what I wanted to eat and drink. I could tell he was not interested in my experience. I ordered off of the beer and wine only menu and at the same time my entree due to his instance. Keep in mind it was 7:15pm. I ordered the lamb roast. The greek salad was really nice, the lamb was very dry and the Tiramisu was amazing. Overall my experience was mediocre and I would hope the owners of this place are aware.

the staff were rude and insensitive. the entrance smelled very bad. the service was slow and the food heavy and tasteless. Do not eat there. oh...did I mention the decor?: shabby and dirty. again: do not eat there.

I love Giulio's! I have been eating here for about 12 or 13 years and the food and service are always the same...great. I'm partial to the manicotti and my husband almost always orders the chicken parmesan. Both are delicious! Their homemade tiramisu is the best. The restaurant is in an old pink house near VSU. The parking lot isn't huge, but you can usually park across the street in the college parking. I might avoid this during the week since the college lots are patrolled during the week and they love writing tickets for cars without permits. They sometimes have live music (guitar, harp, piano) that makes the experience special. Their prices are on par with most chain restaurants, but their food is so much better.

A little off the beaten path from other Valdosta restaurants, this family owned place is worth the trip. Personally it is the Greek specialties that keeps me returning--but friends swear by the Italian dishes. the ambiance is eclectic and the service friendly. definitely a GO!

I have eaten at Giuluos two times in the past month and it has been outstanding both times. Absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is like you are in old world Italy or Greece. The favors are wonderful

Nice place great food and service !!! Lentil soup was very good, and pasta with chicken and Italian sausage was also very good. Upon arrival I noticed, a rather musty smell. They had nice live music. Only a few parking spots in the rear, I think we were the first to arrive, several others to followed. We were driving through town...not sure what else is in area, but this one is worth a try.

Terrible food and service. Granted, it was a group event but we had a limited menu and we pre-selected meals from just a handful of menu items. The staff acted like it was a huge hassle; they were still getting 20% tip and we were eating early enough for them to have a regular dinner crowd, so as far as I could tell, we were a bonus crowd. I had stuffed flounder and my husband had the prime rib which had obviously been cooked and then reheated. Bathrooms are upstairs... Not sure how they accommodate people with disabilities. This place has been in Valdosta for quite sometime so maybe they're just not good at group events or maybe my expectations are just too high. Either way, I will never return.

Why oh why this place isn't packed every night they're open I'll never know! BUT, Valdosta is known for frequenting what is NEW and for "being SEEN"! That being said - This place is a GEM - great food, atmosphere and prices! A TRIFECTA in my book. Go outside the "normal" Valdosta criteria - and have good food, at good prices! Shocking, I know! Tonight we had 6 different dinner options and 6 definite positive credos.!!

There is room for a couple cars to park in the driveway of this old house-converted restaurant, but there is a parking lot across the street. Menu is pricey and there aren't many items. Food is okay, but for the price and slightly awkward, homey ambiance I would head somewhere else.

The restaurant is an old house converted into a restaurant. There was a weird smell when you went in, but I liked the ambiance. Lentil soup was very good. Bread was not the best I've had but got the job done. I had the chicken marsala, which was overly sweet but my son loved it. My husband had ravioli and it was really good, and so was the chicken parmesan. No one in my party sampled anything greek. The Sangria was really good - could have drank it all night. Waitress was great. There was an issue with the bill but she realized it before I could track her down and made it right, so it was all good. Overall, a great Valdosta restaurant!

Food's okay. Awkward feeling ambiance: is this someone's home?

Don't bother. It's right across from my office so I decided to check it out when I got off at 5:30. They open at 5 p.m. As I went in two waiters were sitting at a table on the front porch. Was greeted by a young girl who sat me, and another girl brought me water. That was it. No one ever came back to take my order. I was the only person there. Finally I left, passing no one on the way out inside. Outside the hostess was doing needlepoint or something, and the two waiters were still sitting there. I told them I was leaving because no one ever came back to me. They looked at me like I didn't speak English. So it really doesn't matter if the food is good, because apparently they don't want to cook or serve it.

It's kind of funny. This is where my professor took out the few of us who were to be going on a study abroad trip to Italy. Then again, I went to an Italian restaurant when I came BACK from Italy, so maybe it's normal? I'd heard from friends that food and service here was great, but on a college student budget (aka a check from mom and dad) there was no hope of affording this. Since this was a treated meeting for school, I was very excited to get to try it! It was delicious and we did have excellent service, so I highly recommend this place as somewhere nice to take your parents out to or if you have a date night (and a job, lord knows I didn't at the time). The atmosphere here is quaint and the interior is tiny, but service is always done with a smile and again, great food. And you can walk here from campus! Even better. :)

I've been to Giulio's twice. Once I had Greek and once Italian. The Italian was fine if overpriced, but the Greek was terrible. I wanted to love this place, but the dolmades were cold and things didn't get better from there.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
