I was in town, for a family reunion, and picked up an order for the event. The food was a big hit. I can't review the ribs because they were all eaten before I had a chance to try them. Lol. The pulled pork was awesome. One family member said the the chicken was the best they had ever had. The staff is great. Overall, it was just a great experience.

There are some great things about this place. The smoked chicken was tender and delicious and the stew was super thick and tasty. However, the rest of the items we tried were just okay. The chicken fingers were just average and the beans were lacking flavor. The most disappointing item we tried was the mac n cheese. It was just a pasty mess lacking any real cheese flavor.

Decent BBQ and sides. The baskets are a good value with meat and two sides. My hubby got the quarter chicken and the meat was flavorful and VERY moist. Our daughter and I got pulled pork and while not as good as what the hubby cooks on our smoker at home, it was quick and easy. We liked all of their sauces and having squeeze bottles of each on the table is nice. Attentive staff cycled by our table every few minutes asking if everything was good.

I've never been huge on southern barbecue and this didn't sell me on it but it wasn't half bad. The grilled chicken sandwich and Mac and cheese got rave reviews from our table. It's a fast food vibe but nice, clean, friendly.

Decided to try an adventure! Good food. Fast. Kind people! Give it a go! We did and will be return customers. **it is in front of Lowes** (just passed McDonald's ).

Excellent!!! Bbq, wings, & their sauce all are so delicious! I ordered the bbq & slaw sandwich. It was so very good. We ordered a side of boneless wings. The sauce they used on the wings was also very good. Southern bbq at its best.

Whenever I try a new Bar-B-Q stop, I never get the pulled pork. Let's face it, pulled pork is easy, anyone can do it. I always test new places on their ribs and chicken. This place is a winner. Both the ribs and chicken were excellent. The ribs were just a bit too tender for me because I like a little more texture than most people. The chicken was outstanding, it has great flavor! Their stew is a bit different than the standard recipe but it is really, really good. 5 stars for me!!

Pros: This place serves great BBQ especially for being a fast food BBQ joint. Now when I say fast food, I don't mean MickieD mystery meat fast food, it's considered fast food because you literally get your food in minutes! The workers were very nice and friendly and the girl in the drive though actually apologized that it took so long for me to get my food (it had only been 2 minutes since I ordered). I got two baskets (one rib & chicken and the other rib & pulled pork) and each was about $10. They had 3 sauces (one sweet, one hot, and another one I cant remember but the hot one was the best). The ribs were meaty and fulfilling and their sides were also good. The mac 'n cheese, brunswick stew, and baked beans were good but my favorite was the potato salad. The chicken and pulled pork did not stand out too much to me but it was not horrible, just not anything different than at any other BBQ place I guess. Also, it is hard to find good eats in such a small town as Tifton so this place is a gem! Cons: Drive through did not have prices for everything listed on the menu and it is a little hard to read but if you squint hard enough you might be able to order successfully :) Blurb: I wish they served corn....(or maybe I didn't squint hard enough to see it on the drive through menu)

This was our first visit here. My husband and I had the pulled pork/chicken plate. The pork was good, tender and flavorful. The chicken was ok, also tender. Excellent H&B stew (we call it Brunswick stew). The mac 'n cheese was very good, creamy and cheesy. I really liked the potato salad; very close to homemade. Our son had the H&B sampler plate which is two ribs, pulled pork, and two chicken tenders. He also liked the pork and really liked the chicken tenders. The ribs were ok; a little on the dry side. He had the onion petals (like small onion rings) which he also liked a lot. They came with ranch dressing for dipping. They had a good selection of sauces. They also had Pepsi products, which is a plus for me. Our waitress was helpful and attentive. This will probably become a regular stop for us on our trips between Birmingham, AL and Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and we're looking forward to their blueberry biscuits, as they serve breakfast also.

Tonight was our first visit to Hogs and Bones in Tifton, Ga. The service was friendly and prompt and the Bar-b-que chicken was the best we have ever been served. the Manager came to each table to make sure we were pleased with our meal and our service. We will tell people at the Ag Expo tomorrow that the food in Tifton is worth the ride. Definitely a winner!

This place is GREAT! The BBQ is excellent... one of the best in South Georgia. And it's packed for breakfast. I HIGHLY recommend it. Inexpensive (for BBQ), excellent quality, friendly service. Oh... my favorite sauce is the Gold sauce.

I was really pleasantly surprised by this place. I wasn't sure what kind of restaurant I was going to, but it had solid reviews so we decided to try it out. Not too expensive, good food, and great service. Would definitely recommend!

Great pork, chicken, and baked beans. Very tasty sauces. Worth the stop. Good value. We stopped late Saturday night and they were out of ribs and slaw.

I was traveling from Tenn. to FL when I wanted to get some breakfast. I pulled off the interstate and drove down the road for a spell... I saw the restaurant and became interested ... I pulled in ordered a Chicken biscuit combo. I drove away eating... well this biscuit was so big I had to pull off the road to eat it. I was actually so big that it filled me up... I have to say that that doesn't happen very often. The best thing I have to say was that the flavor was great (I ate the biscuit without any thing on it... plain and the flavor was really gooood! The only thing that upsets me is there is not a Hog n Bones where I live!!!!

Pulled pork good, son got the kids ribs and not real impressed. I'd suggest pulled pork.

Great local BBQ joint disguising it self as a fast food resturant. Be sure to try the Chicken Fingers (no really).

Passing through Georgia on the way to Tampa, we stopped overnight in Tifton. The Hog-N-Bones was recommended to us and, since we hadn't stopped in there before, we decided to try it out. I was somewhat surprised to see a "fast food" style operation. I had expected a full sit down restaurant. No big deal. The prices were commensurate with the ordering at the counter and having your meal brought to you. I had the Ribs, baked beans, and bottle neck fries. The ribs were plenty, slightly over salted a bit. But ok for my taste. The baked bean had striped of pulled pork in them. Not bad. The bottle neck fired were pretty good. All in all, not a bad meal for the price. A server came by to drop off the meals and one time more just to see if everything was okay. The 'Gold" BBQ sauce was delicious. Used it on both the ribs and fries. Would I return: probably.

Food was average. The genius of a good sandwich is all in how it comes together. Proportion is everything. There is waaayyyyy to much sweet creamy slaw. To the point that I had no idea if the pulled pork was good or not. Fries were mushy. My advice...less slaw, more spice, and grill the whole sandwich. Cold slaw plopped on the meat and then the toast just wasn't good. I really wanted to like this place.

This is our favorite breakfast stop in the Tifton area. We travel between Orlando, FL and Birmingham, AL and spend the night in Tifton. One of the highlights of stopping is Breakfast. Homemade biscuits with real eggs and crunchy bacon. Country ham biscuits!! What can be better?!?! Crunchy round hash browns. Grits that are perfectly seasoned. Even in the south this is hard to find in a restaurant. Fresh brewed sweet and unsweetened tea. Yummy cinnamon rolls are my kids favorite. We always go through the drive thru and the food is hot, fresh, and fast. Do not waste your breakfast belly on the McDonalds next door! Eat real food.

Ok...but not awesome. Lots of food for the money. Wish they would put the grits in a separate bowl. Nice service.

Some companions and I ate here a couple of days ago based on the yelp reviews. I've driven past easily dozens of times while traveling around Tifton, but had yet to stop. My companions both got the BBQ. One now has a new favorite semi-local BBQ place it seems. I, however, grabbed a chicken finger basket based on Marc J's recommendation. They were easily some of the best chicken fingers I've had in a while. Definitely a step above many chain restaurants. The fries were also pretty great. Overall, an excellent dining experience. We'll most likely be back next time we're in Tifton.

On the road to NC over Christmas break we checked into the hotel and hopped on yelp. With the reviews and a name like hog n bones who could resist? Pulling it up it's not what you expect a BBQ joint to look like but don't let the looks fool you. Ribs with a good pull, pulled pork, and better than average sides......all that combined with great prices and service made this stop a 4 star winner! Thanks yelp!

Had such a lovely experience for dinner tonight! Extremely friendly and helpful staff...asked if our first visit, made a suggestion for meal and even gave generous sample before ordering to be sure it was to our liking! Delicious BBQ, generous portions and very reasonable pricing!

Traveling for business again and I've been on a local BBQ quest in each area. Asked at the hotel desk if this place had good food and the clerk said, "okay, for Waycross." The big national chains around here didn't interest me and the local recommendations didn't jump out. Considering that Hog-N-Bones was about a block away, I gave it a try. I wanted more that a pulled pork sandwich. The girl at the counter recommended the ribs then quickly recommended the baked potato stuffed with pulled pork and topped with cheese. I also ordered baked beans. The food was very good. The potato was huge and there was ample amounts of pork on it and just enough cheese. The baked beans were perfect. Now I kind of want to have just a pulled pork sandwich just so I can get the full flavor of it. The staff was very nice. I felt welcome here. If you are in Waycross, bypass the chains and give this place a try.

Screwed up our order again. Maybe the place could hire a higher grade of redneck to take orders.

I give them 5 stars for a cheaper fast food bbq joint. The ribs are super meaty and delicious. I usually don't like ribs all that much and these are great. Pulled pork sandwich was good...would've gotten sauce on the side and added my own Bc the sauces on the table are really good. Chicken was moist with a good smoke flavor. We picked this place after reading poor reviews about pit stop, and I sure am glad we did! Very friendly staff, pleasant Christian environment, and overall great experience! So glad we took the time to stop in. If we are ever back by these parts we will come back for sure!

I usually eat at Smokin' Pig in Valdosta while on I-75 in Georgia, but I past it up this trip. Following Yelp suggestion, I ended up at Hog-N-Bones. With a name like that, I ordered the rib lunch, and was very disappointed. The food was fresh and edible, but way short of expectations. Ribs were tender but very salty, with almost no smokey taste or smoker "crunch". Probably boiled. Sauces had too much mustard for my taste. BBQ beans tasted like straight from a Campbell's can. Garlic bread was limp and soggy. I'll pass next time.

AMAZING for a cheaper bbq joint. The regular sauce is gross, but the sweet one is really good. My super picky nephew (who is now 5) loves to get the bbq sandwich and eats every last bite, something that never happens. The sides are ok, except the fries. They are wonderful. Usually get great friendly service. Their breakfast is really good too, the chicken biscuit is the way to go! I think they hand bread their chicken fingers, makes the biscuit that much better. Sometimes you get some really gross and tough chicken bits but otherwise great place! I miss living in the south and having great bbq. They don't know what real bbq is up here in Washington.

Outstanding customer service. The green beans and baked beans were delicious. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the chicken tenders were. The best part was that the staff was so friendly and attentive.

Hospitable even late in the evening. Great BBQ sandwich. The young lady at the order register made great recommendations to us, including ordering the onion petals. Service could be better. Only negative was we were asked how much we wanted to tip the "server" & we gave an amount then we didn't even see the server. Someone brought our food to us, walked away & never asked if we needed anything so of course we did not give a ghost our tip !

Ribs were way too salty. Not sure if the were smoked or just too much salt in the rub, but no matter, they were way over salted. Ice tea needs fresh lemon slices and all they offered was lemon juice packets. French fries were the frozen mass produced variety. Chicken and pulled pork was nothing to write home about. I will not go back and can't recommend. BBQ chicken is best served on the bone, not dried breast meat. Employees and service was excellent.

Stopped here on a road trip. Outstanding food. I had the pulled pork with a quarter chicken. Pork was moist with tons of flavor. Chicken was juicy and smoky. Sides were potato salad (loved the addition of pickles) and the hobo stew or whatever it's called. The four BBQ sauces I tried were each distinct and worth using. Good value as the whole thing came to under $10. The vibe was similar to a McD's, which dampened my enthusiasm a bit, but still a worthwhile trip for the tasty food.

Not as great as everyone claims. My small pulled pork sandwich was very skimpy on the meat. Tasted like fast food not like slow cooked BBQ.

Great place. Good food. Big servings. Low prices. Incredible service, the nicest people I've met in a while. Golden sauce is a fantastic.

Salty pork. Sauces were ok. This place is a glorified fast food joint. Not very impressed with meat quality and the sides were meh. Don't go out of your way for this place by any means. Thank goodness I didn't.

We stopped at the Hog-N-Bones based off their great yelp rating and we were not disappointed. It's kinda like a fast food BBQ but the food was very good. The restaurant was clean and the girls behind the counter were very friendly. In addition, the girl who waited on us was also very friendly and attentive.

Really great fast good BBQ place. The food was really good, loved the ribs the most and the green beans were amazing! The wait staff for a fast food restraint was so nice. The girl who brought us out food checked on on us three times and even cleared most of our table! I would defiantly go back!

On our way to Florida, we passed through Tifton, with growling bellies. Looking for something to stop the growls we made a turn into Hog-N-Bones. When we travel we try to eat in places we don't have at home. Hog-N-Bones needs to be at home! The building looks "fast food" and you order at the counter like "fast food", but the flavors are definitely not "fast food". The food was fabulous. Since we had never been there before, the manager suggested the HNB Sampler Basket: ribs, pork, chicken tenders and 2 sides. Plenty for two for lunch. My husband said the ribs were the best he'd eaten in a long time. The tenders were meaty and moist; lightly breaded and cooked perfectly. We tried all four sauces and found it difficult to choose a favorite. The restrooms were clean. The wait staff attentive. The prices were low. There's plenty of parking. Hog-N-Bones is about a mile off of the exit so keep your eyes peeled and enjoy.

  • Ray B.

I will confess, I am a BBQ snob. I was looking forward to my dinner, the staff was very nice an helpful with their suggestions. I had the half rib basket. The beans were standard baked beans with a bit of their pulled pork added. The ribs were meaty, but the rub was very very salty. The place was packed so it might be the local preference. I would not go out of my way to eat there again.

  • Mark H.

This place is a "best kept secret". The menu is fantastic. Prices are unbelievable... Service is with a smile, and the food? It's out of this world! I wish they served Coca Cola products, but, now, I'm just being picky! Five stars!!!!! WARNING: not open on Sunday. I think they want their employees and their customers in church... That's honorable.
