My husband and I absolutely love this restaurant. When we feel like going on an adventure and escape the big city of Tallahassee we always go to Liam's in Thomasville. Every single dish they have is right on the mark. I have never ordered anything from this restaurant that I did not absolutely love. The waitstaff have always been respectful, prompt, yet casual in a way that makes you feel like you are eating among friends. I had the incredibly good fortune of having Liam's cater my wedding. The food was incredible from the wide selection of cheeses for the first course, the fresh and local ingredients used the salad, the perfectly seasoned fish, and the delicious pork. Everything came out at the right time and was beautifully presented. Rhonda, who was my main contact, was always quick to respond to any inquiries that I had and really listened to what I as a bride envisioned for my wedding. It is apparent that she is superb and organizing and managing her staff and I honestly could not have been more lucky to have such a wonderful meal served to me and my guests. I highly reccomend Liam's not only as a restaurant but also as a caterer.

Wonderful place! The atmosphere was personal and the dishes amazing. The prices are not cheap but definitely worth it. A must go if you are in the Tallahassee / Thomasville area.

Enjoyed a great meal Friday night - Grilled Hanger Steak. Grilled perfectly, with exotic mushrooms and butternut squash. The red wine jus could be bottled and sold. Finished the meal sharing banana's foster with my son and a few bites of chocolate cake. Superb service, the wait staff always spends enough time helping us decide which menu selection is best for you mood, and Rhonda always makes sure you get the right cheese for your tastes. Scott is truly a wonderful chef. The price matches the quality of food and service. I'm never disappointed at Liam's.

Disappointed in lack of selection if you don't eat fish. Beet salad was too raw unless used as crunch mixed in greens. Nothing wrong with taste but not outstanding. Entry selection limited and almost bland in flavor. Crab-tomato bisque fair. Neither flavor enhanced the other. Try some place else. Very loud if a crowd. Appears to be popular spot from other reviews is why we went. Won't go a second time.

A true gem in an unexpected location. Must be the best restaurant between Atlanta and Miami ( yes, including Orlando). Scott is a talented chef, and to emulate Rhonda's cheeseboard you'd have to go to New York City.

This place is the total package: great food, drinks, atmosphere and service. I've eaten here for dinner and lunch and both were phenomenal. Liam's is a restaurant where once you try anything, you want to try everything. It would not be hard to spend more than $100 here on just yourself for wanting an appetizer, a cheese board, wine, an entree and desert- though I am not saying that it is at all overpriced. The only draw back to this place is that you have to drive all the way out to Thomasville; although the rustic setting does lend a little credibility to the all-local food on the menu. Seriously, this place is fantastic.

Excited for our first trip to Liam's for brunch. FANTASTIC.

This place is amazing!!! The atmosphere is incredible and the people are incredibly kind. We came here to celebrate my brother's graduation from FSU and it was great! The food was a bit expensive but absolutely to die for. They had so many cheeses including one that had to be kept in a led box!! I really can't say anything that would do this restaurant justice. You honestly just need to go there and try it. Highly recommended!

Scott and Rhonda are such passionate foodies and restaurant owners. It shows in every detail of their dishes and cocktails, and in the way they treat their staff (they regularly create and name cocktails after their staff members' personalities). Rhonda knows everything about every one of their divine cheese selections (right down to the kinds of rocks the goats eat). My favorite ever: a beef tartare Scott whipped up with house made chips. You can never go wrong by telling Rhonda your flavor likes and dislikes when it comes to cheese selections and then letting her put you a board together. She'll expand your tastes and your knowledge when she comes to the table to tell you what she's selected. The service is fantastic and decor eclectic and cozy.

Not a fan of the new menu. Limited selection really. Food is still pretty good but not mindblowing. Something is different about the place...

Liam's is one of the best places to eat! Quality of the food is top notch. Rhonda and Scott make your dining experience one of a kind! Highly recommend Liam's!

Experienced Liam's for the first time last night. Absolutely incredible! Great service and the cheese board Rhonda prepared for us was a real treat. Fabulous wines as well. Definitely found our new favorite Thomasville evening out!

It is a feel-good restaurant where you can have well prepared, simple but elegant dishes with your family and friends. Everything is well seasoned and prepared with care. It's not fancy, dinner menu is somewhat limited, and price might seem high to some people. It can get loud if crowded. But it's the only place around Tallahassee where one can get decent selection of cheese and wine, plus some really well crafted dishes (although they are not that creative). * Great cheese selection/ very good charcuterie plate/ very good tomato basil crab bisque/ Great Farmer's Toast (must try!)/ Also a good quail dish, although very intense and concentrated flavor. * Great brunch and lunch options! (Their brunch and lunch menu are much bigger and nicely priced) * The only thing I didn't like from what I have ordered at Liam's was the Flank steak. P.S. It feels weird to give this place 4 stars as I gave 4 stars to Angelette's - they are totally different kind of places, and they are good for what they are. You can't compare them side by side just with the number of stars, in my opinion. . See my review here: jihyechang.com/wisdom/20…

Exceedingly overpriced and very limited selection for dinner, but delicious and spot-on for lunch. Great atmosphere--a mix of small town charm with trendy style. 3 stars for dinner (mainly because of the lack of selection and value, plus the filet wasn't stellar enough to compensate), 4 stars for lunch.

We eat here whenever we are in Thomasville. Exceptionally good food, great service, and consistently high quality. It's not fancy or showy, but we have enjoyed eating there every time. The menu items reflect the chef's genius, and I can't remember a single disappointment when I tried something for the first time.

This unassuming spot is a gem in the south Georgia southern fried culinary wasteland. Don't expect okra and green tomatoes here! This is 5 star cuisine at its best. Yes, you'll pay for it, but for those of us who can't live on breading alone, this is nirvana. If you're put off by the dinner prices, make plans to visit for Saturday's European Breakfast. You can get to a great start with chicory coffee and beignets. The Croque Madam is delicious. The Pain Perdu is what French Toast is in Heaven. If you can bankroll dinner, do not miss on the cheese flights. The selection is outstanding. Do not miss Liam's!

Liam's seems to be the best food in Thomasville and a nice little family run restaurant. We love the fact that the menu is small and focuses on good quality food. We always make a point to stop on our way to the beach (usually both ways) because the food and service are just that good.

We travel up to Liam's every couple months from Monticello and can't say enough wonderful things about this restaurant. The food is always excellent! We make every trip a complete dining experience including cheese tray, appetizer, entree, desert, and coffee. If you have an opportunity to eat at Liam's, don't pass it up!

Great food with some excellent English classics. Try the mushrooms on toast. Wonderful beer and wine menu, lovely atmosphere. Somewhat stuffy wait staff but they know what they are talking about. Reserve in advance. Too much food- splitting is a wonderful idea even for a big appetite.

as good as it gets in Thomasville. I'm not a resident--but I have been to a lot of restaurants in my life. If I were visting and wanted 'good food' this would be the place. Excellent service, nice setting, very good food at a reasonable price. I know the locals think it is a bit froo froo (spelling?) but if you have lived outside of a small town in Georgia -- you won't find it that way. The locals line up for the restaurant next door. It is nice enough, but the food is much better here.

Liam's is always my favorite dining experience. The owners and other staff are super knowledgeable and extremely passionate about every item on the menu. The menu changes depending on the local produce and meat supply, but every single thing I've ever tried has been outstanding. Extensive wine and cheese list, romantic atmosphere, and desserts never disappoint.

Liam's is top-notch all around, the owners are incredibly well-informed and very easy to talk to and will glady walk you through all the delicious menu options. My favorite thing i've ever had here was an excellent foie gras, seared perfectly and served with a deliciously acidic pineapple salsa. Fresh, rich and well balanced! Its small so you really feel like you're welcome and wanted there and each dish reflects the high respect that they have for their ingredients. Great setting, service, and food! And they have a phenomenal cheese menu as well, I learned tons about cheese the last time I went!

I'd say as good as it gets anywhere. Remarkably well-conceived Saturday brunch dishes: truffle omlette with Brie; salmon pissiladiere (a mini pizza with lox on creme fraiche); non greasy croque monsieur. The menu seemed a little precious and off-putting at first glance, but the food was just extraordinary.
