Our house is very close to Uncle Vito's, but for some reason we had not been there for a really LONG time (couple years). We'd been spending our pizza money at other places (like Johnny's and Italian Pie - both further from our house) because we thought they had better pizza than Vito's. But about a month ago, we went back, because we were feeling lazy, and it was close... But something wonderful happened - we ate the pizza! Whoa! Is this an accident? Could this actually be better pizza than the other places??? Within the week, we tried Johnny's and Italian Pie again, just to determine if their pizzas were better than Uncle Vito's. To their credit, they are good; so we needed another trip to Vito's to see if maybe the first visit was simply a fluke. No fluke! At my house, we've decided that Uncle Vito's wins best pizza in our neighborhood! And since it is the closest pizza joint to our home, that means we win! Can't wait to go back for another foldable slice!

I've never had a problem with this place. I enjoy their salads more. I tried there Veggie pizza for the first time. In my opinion, the cook was stingy on the veggies but everything from the dough and amount of tomatoes sauce was the perfect amount. Great old school music. They need to do better with sweeping the floors and cleaning tables. The waitress was awesome, very attaintive and friendly. I would have gave 5 stars but, need to clean better.

Over the last 10 years or so this place has been up and down. Lately it's been up. The pizza has been hot, fresh and delicious. The service is good and the $.99 beers on Thursdays, I've cold. I hope that they can keep up the quality they have been producing over the last year or so. I'd hate to see this place go back down...

It's been very inconsistent with pizza lately sometimes it's good sometimes it's bad I never get slices anymore because you seem to get old pies highly suggest you get a new pie

I tried to order a pizza form this site. They put me on hold. Never came back to take the order. Called 5 times no answer. Finally they answered an wanted to put me on hold. Will not call them again. If you can't handle the volume get another business. I have been doing business with this local business for years no more.

It's a mystery of pizza physics as to why the extra large is always so much better than the other sizes, even with identical toppings. "Go big or go home," I say, even if it's just for two. Especially at Uncle Vito's, because ordering the XL takes a great pie and makes it greater. You know it's going to be good when the word "foldable" appears in the description of the pizza, right there on the menu. I have been to Uncle Vito's dozens of times. In fact, I've gone miles and miles out of the way when we needed a pie or four for a special occasion (like Christmas Eve). The extra large pizzas here are my favorite in the Atlanta area. I had the stromboli once (it was good, too), but it seems like a wasted visit if I don't opt for pizza. (Kind of like ordering a Bud Light at Taco Mac - why are you even here, buddy?) My highest recommendation goes to the specialty pie called "Italian Deli" (sausage, ham, meatball and pepperoni). The meatballs are made in-house and they are perfect. Always opt for meatballs, even if you don't get the Italian Deli. Heck, you should opt for meatballs even if you're a vegetarian - these meatballs are that good. You can go back to black bean burgers and salads tomorrow. I have read via Yelp that some people have experienced spotty service in the past but I think we've only witnessed that once or twice, and (although it was long ago) I attributed it to the server being too young and too snotty for a service job, not an endemic part of the restaurant's culture. They've had a few bad hires, but not often (and overall the good hires are very, very good!) It's a seriously good pizza pie. Try it. [My bride would like me to mention in closing that the Birch Beer Soda is yummy.]

Came to uncle Vito's to meet with friends. The Pizza we had was great last time I visited. The waitress rushed us to order. The unsweetened tea was extremely weak. The sprite we received had a film of grease or something and had to be replaced. We ordered a half veggie, half meatball. What we received was half pork. The waitress stated she got the order wrong. They quickly replaced the pork half with two large thin meatball slices. Happy and expecting the pizza to be taken off the bill; we ate, packed our remaining food, and awaited the final bill. Upon receipt, we noticed the pizza had not been removed from the bill. We asked the waitress why, and with no explanation, she deferred to the owner. When the owner arrived at the table, we asked why the pizza had not been removed from the bill as a professional courtesy. Her explanation was that the large slices of meatball pizza was sufficient compensation for the mistake. She also stated that she did not charge for those large slices, and that we should be satisfied. Disturbed, I asked why she would think that her righting the situation and not charging us would be sufficient compensation. Her reply to me was, "I know you want something for free..."!. At that point, I became very perturbed. Stating my case with is much vigor and anger as I could, but still remaining as professional as I could, I corrected in unprofessionalism and gross accusation. Her response: "alright alright, I'll fix it". She proceeded by snatching the bill from the hands of my friend, and stormed off. Expecting to have the wrong finally corrected; we reviewed the bill and saw that only five dollars had been removed! I can only feel that her reaction to us was a bit prejudice, and unprofessional. I would not normally use the P word, had it not been for her statement "I know you want something for free" I will never eat there again! The establishment only received one star because I had to give it a rating. If we could rate with no stars, that would encompass my review!

The food is not good. No flavor, no Italian seasonings... just bland! They are slow at making food. We ordered take out and went to another store. Came back to pick up our food and it was not ready. Took over 30 minutes to get our order made. We only ordered a calzone and stromboli. I ate here a year ago and didn't think it was great, but it was not this bland and slow for sure. I will not be back here. Not worth the money at all.

We enjoy eating here for a good, solid pizza or calzone. Service is good and serving size is great. We usually start with garlic knots and add cheese - marinara is perfect. If you do eat in, be sure to stop by the front to let them know you're there, they don't have a hostess and the booths block the view of the front. We always have leftovers and I always like when a restaurant offers drinks to go as well.

After reading the reviews, I didn't expect much, but I figured since we had a groupon, I could deal with it. After a strange explanation of the groupon from the server, I was really afraid, but it turned out to be okay. I am not a fan of people telling me what I can't do rather than what I CAN do. It keeps it simple. We were greeted immediately upon approaching the counter and when we confirmed we were dining in, told to have a seat anywhere. Being a Wednesday, there were only few customers there. She came quickly and took our drink orders and came back without lagging until we finally ordered. Our salads came quickly.....nothing to write home about, but the iceberg was crisp, the tomato wasn't bad and the mushrooms were okay. The Balsamic was acceptable as well. The cheesebread was hot and fresh and the marinara was pretty good and there was plenty of it. Shortly thereafter our pizza arrived steaming hot. We got pepperoni and mushroom. The crust was crisp and overall the pizza was good! The server was pleasant, prompt and polite. The unsweetened tea wasn't bad either!

Great service, really friendly girl at the front. Food was pretty good as well. Eggplant was a bit too thin. The roll was great. The food isn't awesome but isn't bad either, it's pretty average - like Yelp says "A-OK" 3.5 stars if I could :-)

Garlic knots rocked...but not so hard they knocked my socks off. I love it when pizza by the slice doesn't taste different than it would have if I ordered a whole pie. My bill was only a little over $6, including tip. I give this place a double woot.

I've never had a Sicilian slice before dining in here and I absolutely got that new York pizzeria feel. The slice was HUGE and was a good price. Don't miss out on this hidden treasure!

Loved the garlic knots! Amanda H. stole my line about having pizza that usually tastes differently by the slice than the same pizza by the tray. This one didn't seem like a slice that was ordered that way. Did that make any sense whatsoever? Well it did to me...and prolly would to Amanda H. They lost a star for not allowing us to order at the counter. Pizza buy the slice shouldn't warrant a waitress. The crust was a little too thin so it lost another star, but there was almost no grease dripping out of my folded happiness despite the fact that mine was topped with pepperoni! My bill was 6ish (2 slices w/ a topping & soft drink).

Won't return and here's why, Even though the place was nearly empty of patrons, the service was extremely slow and darn near nonexistent; from seating ourselves like the sign said it took almost 15 minutes for someone to show up for a drink order; almost ten minutes later the drinks where quickly put on the table as our server left in a rush without even asking if we were ready to order (we were) or giving us simple straws. Another ten minutes pass as someone else walks by and asks if we have ordered yet; gave her the order and off she went to never be seen again. Twenty plus minutes later, our food arrives by yet another server who quickly asks if it looks good and immediately leaves. At this point there is not even a smidgen of service given here (no silver ware even) and as our drinks remained empty during two server hit and run visits, I finally just walked up to the drink machine and refilled for myself; the readily available staff (there where three guys and four gals there) gabbed amongst themselves behind the counter and a couple of them gave me some dirty looks as I was refilling our glasses; I didn't care at this point. Service gets a BIG ZERO! Now on to the food. Upon entering this place, we had an hour and a half of time to kill before catching a movie that was twenty minutes away. With over 25 minutes of time wasted for drinks and ordering, we decided to speed up the process of getting food with just a few slices of pizza each (the board had a two slice with drink special). We made it even simpler by only ordering one topping (pepperoni) for our slices; twenty minutes of time ticked away but they finally arrived, and honestly, it didn't look good. This was some of the WORST Pizza I have had in a while as the slices where no where near tasting like a tray ordered; these slices where overcooked, stale, and served nearly COLD; seriously, after waiting a bit over twenty minutes for this stuff, I would have at least expected them to be somewhat warm! Starving and running out of time, we quickly ate this crap and paid at the counter; Yes, I say this Pizza is CRAP since the slices had absolutely NO FLAVOR to them; dough was hard, burnt, and devoid of ANY flavor; Sauce (what little amount of it there was) could of been dumped straight from a tomato sauce can, and the single topping of Pepperoni we each had amounted to three little pieces of the most greasy and sorry tasting stuff I think I have encountered! Really, ANY store bought Frozen Pizza trumps this stuff, and for what amounted to $20.00 + with tax, I will never return. In a nut shell, this place sucked; the nonexistent service and extremely poor quality and taste of the food will never beckon me back. I can easily see why the restaurant part was nearly devoid of customers (there was only two tables with a few people in them when we arrived) and I feel sorry for the poor souls who dared to order take out at the counter (the two bodies who came in a few minutes after us were still standing in wait for food as we walked out). Good luck to anyone visiting this place. Their NY Pizza status is a JOKE and should be immediately revoked!

Not a close drive for me but it was so worth it!! I had the best salad with an amazing dressing that was their own dressing (ask about it). Then I was craving 2 types of pizzas so they were able to do half and half. The service was excellent and from what I noticed they have updated and renovated the restaurant. I wish the new business owners great success! I'll be returning soon.

I used to love this place, but it has gone downhill. We ordered a pizza and about 10 minutes after ordering that, we decided we wanted to add a lasagna meal. I guess there was only one waitress because my husband had to go up to the counter to put in the additional order after we told her that we were planning on ordering something else. I really can't blame her though because she looked as if she was working really hard. I don't think there was enough staff working. Finally after 10 more minutes our salad arrived, if you can call it a salad. It consisted of a few pieces of wilted iceberg lettuce with 2 tiny tomatoes and 2 end pieces of mushroom. Really sad. My son was sick, so we had to ask for the food to go. After I walked up to the counter and told our waitress we needed to go because my son was ill, we still had to wait another twenty minutes! Keep in mind that by this time we had been waiting well over 30 minutes for a pizza. Finally, I walked up again to see what the hold up was. The waitress passed me at the counter and was walking to another table and said something like "Your pizza is just coming out of the oven." We finally got our food and got it home only to find the pizza was soggy and cold. Yeah right it was just out of the oven. It had been sitting out for a good while. The toppings were sparse. We had half tomato and half salami. There were about two to three small pieces of topping on each slice of an Xtra Large pizza. We don't live more than 10 minutes away from the restaurant so they had obviously let it sit out for a long time. And the 3 square inches of lasagna and wilted salad were surely not worth the $10 price tag. We will not return to this place. I'm not that picky of an eater and even I can say that this was the grossest pizza I've ever eaten. And I have NEVER eaten a pizza that I thought was gross. We did have a coupon though so we only paid half price. It still wasn't even worth it. It seemed as though there were a lot of staff coming in and out but I only saw two people working; the waitress and the cook.
