I ordered takeout from there today during lunch. I was excited to find a Thai restaurant that makes their own sauces and can make things without fish sauce. Being a staunch vegetarian, I had to give this place a try. I ordered the massaman curry with tofu - no fish sauce - spice level 3(hot) and brown rice. With this order I also received a vegetarian spring roll. The curry was pretty good. The spring roll was nice and crunchy. My only quip about the massaman curry was the portion was very small. I don't know if it was because I took take out or that's their regular portion but it wasn't filling enough for me. The curry had about about five pieces of tofu, three pieces of potato, a couple cashews, some onions cut up and about six tiny pieces of carrot shaped like an asterisk(which was pretty cool). Again I don't know if this is the lunch to-go portion or the their lunch portion in general. I was also turned off that I tried to call the restaurant to order ahead and no one would pick up the phone. I asked the server when I got their she said they were busy and had other to go orders so they just didn't pick up the phone. Oh well. I will try it again and eat in this time to see if the portions are better. The food did taste well and the spice was on point.

Food...BOMB...papaya salad was unreal...ambience...on point & the wine selection looks massive and its a low key joint to have a date at for sure..also,good prices for an extensive menu...vegetarian options too ugh yea baby Reason for only 3 stars as my usual 4-5 for good grub; I just don't think the waitress likes me,I guess idk....I'm all gym exhausted & quiet,so I'm assuming a hard person to dislike given I ordered fast and didn't bother much. She never even asked how was my meal was ,did my order come out ok,or even cracked a smile... Sheesh...I waitressed for years & definitely got the best tips from meals for 1 and the quiet guests.. Service really does mean more than you think when you get unfriendly service, not really bad service,I just felt like she didn't want to be at work that day or something... The guy who seated me was hella cool tho & I wish I could tip him, shoot I got more hospitality from him and attention to my attendance...but whatev's food was great and healthy...life goes on,I'll def return...#goodfoodwinseverytime

Small ( tiny ) portions that are overpriced and the menu was somewhat limited in regards to what I'm accustomed to seeing at a more traditional Thai restaurant. Our Server (Earn) was awesome but I would not recommend this place for a Thai food experience.

Great go-to for Thai. The ingredients were fresh and presentation was what you expect. We tried the fried rice which seems basic but it was super good and also had the drunken noodles. I've had the drunken noodles at another restaurant and the higher quality ingredients shined. For an appetizer definitely try the basil roll.

Maybe it's because I wanted to imitate The Big Bang Theory crew and enjoy Thai takeout on a Friday night. I figure this is also a good way to try out some other places in Smyrna without having to be waited on (it's really so I don't have to tip). I admit to being a horrible person (sometimes). I was afraid to call in my order because of, um, communication issues. I was surprised that the lady who picked up spoke English well. Sweet! When I arrived to pick up my order, I was surprised by the ambience and decor of the restaurant. I started feeling sheepish for doing takeout from a nice restaurant. That quickly dissipated when it took 10-15 minutes to pay. There was nobody else in front of us, but for some reason, it was taking a long time for them to process a credit card. Meanwhile, I'm staring at my small to-go order, thinking, "All of this was more than $45?" I came home and here's what my boyfriend and I ate: Stuffed Chicken Wings: I blame him for this one. Two wings and a drumstick, the chicken meat is literally taken out, ground up and mixed with glass noodles, scallions, etc, and then somehow reattached to the bone either by stuffing or dipped in batter before being fried again. If you want interesting, this is it. In terms of taste, I wouldn't get it again. It tasted like Chinese dumpling filling in a wing: chicken stuffed chicken. Why did I let my boyfriend order this? Basil Roll: I was pleasantly surprised by this. There's a myriad of different raw veggies in here - at least more than what I'm used to including red cabbage. This looked colorful, but I didn't taste or see the basil. Red Curry with Pork: We asked for really spicy and we got it "Thai hot." This was exactly what I wanted. It's a decent portion in a dinner to-go box. Drunken Noodles: Got this one "Thai hot" and it was tasty. This was actually really generous with the chicken, which was mostly chicken breast meat. I know this seems backwards, but I would've wanted more noodles. The portion was a bit small considering. I think I'll still stick to ordering takeout and if I do, it'll most likely be the curries. Thai hot.

Fresh and flavorful Thai! Best Thai in the Smyrna/Vinings area! My favorite dish so far is the Pad See El - amazing!!! I love green curry but wasn't impressed with what I was served. Curry was a little bland and didn't pack the flavor that other dishes do. Spring rolls are delicious and coconut soup was creamy and flavorful. The restaurant atmosphere is quiet and the staff are polite. I wouldn't suggest this place if you have kids due to the quiet atmosphere, but definitely worth trying if you are craving Thai!

This place has amazing spring rolls! The price is good for 3 spring rolls and for the size you get. You can either eat inside or outside and the atmosphere can be either casual or great for date night! The food is so good and not to mention, organic! Lunch prices are better than dinner prices, but you get more amount of food at dinner than at lunch. I highly recommend the brown rice. Everything here is really good! You can't go wrong.

I was disappointed to see how empty the restaurant was, worried my take out may be horrible. We loved it! Best thai I've had in Atlanta. We had Pas See Ew and Pad Thai. A couple appetizers as well. Very fresh tasting, they didn't over cook the veggies and you could tell the meat was organic. Plus the staff was so pleasant and friendly. Our new take out spot!

I hate to update my review but feel it's necessary. I have eaten here probably three times this week, and today I asked for a brown rice to go and the manager said there would be a charge. Really? You didn't charge me yesterday when I asked for one to go. The manager said it is "house policy" and that if I would have asked for the second bowl while eating in the restaurant then there would not have been a charge. He also stated that he needed to charge me to cover the cost of the container and bc the brown rice is really expensive. Are you kidding me? That container can't cost more than $0.03. I'm sorry, but customer service goes a long way and now there is just a bitter taste in my mouth. In summary, the food is great, but management could use some courses in customer service.

I'll try again but tonight it was all downhill. The first 10 minutes there we spent looking for a server... She was lovely when she appeared & informed us there were only 2 servers! What?? I ordered the coconut soup with tofu and it was not good. Not at all. I wasn't real hungry & ordered the vegetable tempura... One of my all time favorites... But not this version. Sauce was too sweet & tempura was too thick! Jasmine tea was very good, my friends curry looked beautiful! See you again soon.

Supervisor is super rude!!! I asked for drunken noodles the chicken was cold and the veggies- literally COLD! I asked the supervisor / server to warm it up and he said, "that's because you didn't eat it fast enough!!!" And gave me a dirty look!

Came for Valentines Day 2014. After being seated, they took damn near 30 mins to wait on us even though we had a reservation but we let it slide since it was busy. The ambiance, location and staff are great! The food was out of this world. They had special $30 & $40 Five Coarse Meals that were 100% great! The Yellow Chicken was on point! I'd have to go back and look at the menu to detail the rest! But the food made up for the extended wait time. We'll be back soon!

I wanted to like this place but doubt we'll ever return. The food was just fair - too salty, rubbery squid, runny peanut sauce. The service was horrid. Although the staff was very pleasant and comped us a dish to make up for screwing up our order. We waited for 30 minutes to get our appetizers and another 30 minutes plus to get the main courses which all came out at different times. Not a good experience at all.

Four of us dined here recently for the first time. Our local Thai food market has been declining in quality since we moved here three years ago, so I wanted something new. The good: The food is amazing and the menu is extensive. Full bar. Nice ambiance. Noodle dishes were fresh and not overcooked like most places. Good vegetarian selection, and they'll make anything they can vegan. Could be better: Service. We arrived in three separate cars. An extremely attentive gentleman kept bringing us water, but did not take any beverage orders despite the restaurant being almost empty. After the three of the four of us arrived, a waitress arrived with a notepad and asked "Are you ready to order?" No greeting, no beverage orders, no waiting for our last guest. We told her we'd like to wait for our last person to order and she took off (apps? drinks?). Once we were all seated, we got several more water refills. Then the waitress returned with "Are you ready to order?" again. Cocktails took longer than the appetizers, and other tables were having similar service issues. I felt like we were being punished for not all showing up at the same time. I'll be back, most likely for takeout. Hopefully management reads these reviews and addresses service problems. Promote the water guy to a full server! :)

I've dined at the original location as well as the new "west" location and the one thing I can always say about this place is that the food is always fresh. Fried, sautéed or raw...it always taste fresh with a great presentation. If you love papaya salad and a great pad thai without the excess sugar, this is the place to go.

I've always wanted to try the food but never did. Sad that the Tucker location is closer to me at home but I ate at the Smyrna location, mainly due to work. It's a bit farther than another Thai restaurant but with a larger menu with more variety, I badly wanted to visit it very soon. So I learn that a co-worker is a foodie like me and she's always hungry and wanted me to go to lunch with her. I told her I always wanted to try L'Thai and she's like, let's go. That was my cue. I had an idea where it was located cause my in-laws live in this side of town. I remember passing it a few times before. It's located off South Atlanta Road off 285 in a hidden "village." We went early so we could be seen right away and get back to work on time. We were impress with the dim lights and the interior. It is gorgeous. My co-worker calls it an upscale Thai lounge. I love the fact the waitress was dressed in Thai gear. She was very polite. I ordered one of my fave Thai dishes that I do not see at every Thai restaurant - Pad Mee Kow aka Drunk Noodles. My co-worker ordered the Basil Fried Rice. We loved our dishes. I would definitely come back. I really like the flavors. Next time, I want to try another dish.

I tried this restaurant for the first time and I was quite disappointed. I had a taste for some veggies so I thought that this place. the decor is dark but nice. Very date friendly. I was looking over the menu and asked a lot of questions since I am very picky. I specifically asked if the sauces were fishy or comparable to that of normal brown sauces... I was told that it was better - I got veggies w a side of fishy taste. Totally ruined the dinner and my thoughts of ever returning. I guess sometimes it is best to stick with what you know. And on another note... the cashier did not give the correct change but was so kind as to make sure that ones were given for tipping ... reason number 2 for no return.

I was pleasantly surprised by this spot! Very large menu with also man vegetarian items. They are certified organic and also have many Gluten free items. There was so much to choose from that I am looking forward to returning and if like a glass of wine with dinner you won't be disappointed, many by the glass, organic choices and also microbionic choices as well. We started with the papaya salad, very nice, and ordered the lamb and Braised duck breast. Both were very tasty, not too sauced and served with lots of veggies. You can have either white or brown rice at not extra fee (many places charge extra for brown). The restaurant itself is very cozy and charming, not the typical thai joints that have no atmosphere. Definitely heading back to this nice little place!

The food at L'Thai West is pretty delicious. I'm a fan of L'Thai East in Tucker and was pleasantly surprised when L'Thai decided to open another restaurant closer to where I live and work. The owners have also been trying to open a location in Midtown. L'Thai is known for their broad selection of organic Thai food. The L'Thai restaurants are supposedly the first and only organic Thai restaurants in the world outside of Thailand. I like their menu because they offer a wide variety of Thai dishes. I visited for dinner where most of their entrees range in price from $12.95 to $18.95. There are a handful of dishes priced higher than that (fish, lamb, lobster, filet mignon). These prices reach the upper spectrum for Thai food, but L'Thai West is a nicer restaurant and the ingredients are organic. I tried the yellow crispy chicken and the crispy basil duck. The yellow crispy chicken, not to be confused with the yellow curry chicken, looks a lot like Japanese tonkatsu (fried pork cutlet). It's a chicken breast fillet deep-fried and sliced, placed on top of vegetables and a yellow curry sauce. The pieces of chicken were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The sauce was rich and full of flavor. Scrumptious entree. The crispy basil duck was also a winner. This dish consisted of several thin slices of duck (boneless) that were sauteed with snow peas, chili, basil leaves, and bell peppers in a basil garlic sauce. The skin and fat were cooked with the duck, making it even crispier (and crunchier) than the chicken. Each bite was truly delicious. While this might not be the healthiest item on the menu, it's easily one of the best-tasting. I want more. L'Thai West is nicer than L'Thai East. It's newer, feels more upscale, and has better decor. It has a beautiful bar, multiple widescreen TVs, and an indoor waterfall. It's got a quiet, romantic ambiance. I went on a Thursday night and there was live music. Service was fine. I noticed they scored 100 on their sanitation rating. The restaurant is located in the mixed-use West Village development in Smyrna.

If I am craving some thai and want to feel good about what I'm eating I come here. I've eaten here many times for date night with my husband, ordered out and grabbed some lunch. I've always liked my food, some of my favorites are the green curry, pad thai, fried basil rolls, and jungle curry( really spicy). The atmosphere is really nice, very appropriate for a date night. The only reason I didn't do 5 stars is because the staff although very nice is a bit slow, there is no sense of urgency in taking orders and bringing the check. I've never been here and been in a hurry so it hasn't been a problem but something I've definitely noticed.

  • Jason F.

The food here was not bad (except the chicken coconut soup, which was horrid), but it wasn't great. The durian with sticky rice was quite good. The quality of meat and vegetables was good; they claim to use only organic stuff, and by taste I'd believe it. But I'd rather have "regular" meat & veg prepared better. Ambiance is great, romantic, with live music. Good for a date, I'd bet. LA has ruined me for Thai food. The search for great Thai cuisine in Atlanta continues!

Ignored by host, ignored by wait staff, ignored. As we were about to walk out and leave (FYI there was only 1 other table in the entire restaurant of two men which received LOADS of attn) They took our order, had to ask for water, never refilled the water, never came back--EVER. had to get up and find someone to get the check, paid left NO tip, and will never return. The same nasty service and attitude at the Tucker location has multiplied and become a toxic fungus that is the l thai west location. The food was bite sized portion. The sticky rice dessert was a golf ball size at BEST. I don't need a restaurant imposed diet. Just horrible experiences here and have finally decided never to support this establishment going forward. I dont need to be ignored if I'm paying you to SERVE ME.

Wonderful wonderful food -- Try the chicken panang or red curry. They will substititute things if you'd rather have other ingredients in there, as I prefer the bamboo shoots over other things. The super nice man who was probably the owner or manager gave me a rose for mothers day and was very accommodating. The outside seating has annoying music from the shopping center that isnt controlled by the restaurant , but the inside area is dim-lit and had a piano player tonight. Very nice. I'm still thinking about the curry. I wish I had more. MOREEEE ALSO -- they use all natural, no MSG ingredients and that is a huge PLUS.

This is the best Thai place in the smyrna area. Lots of spice, organic ingredients and reasonable prices. Huge pot of jasmine green tea for $2! Our favorite food dishes were the coconut soup and spicy basil fried rice.

J asked where I wanted to go for Mothers' Day, and I chose L'Thai because of the Scoutmob. He made reservations for 5:30 (since the little one gets sleepy at 6:30), but we didn't really need them, since there were only 2 other parties in the place when we arrived. We were greeted at the hostess stand by a gentleman who gave me a rose for Mothers' Day. They seated us at the end of the long banquette in the middle of the restaurant, right next to the silverware station and in front of the maître d' station. It was slightly distracting to be right in front of a TV that was showing a "visit Thailand" video from the 90's (I know because Netscape was featured in the technology portion), particularly since the 4 TV's of the bar, all showing different visit Thailand videos were all in my eye line. They brought a high chair for the car seat. While this place was marked kid friendly, and they did have high chairs, I think they're going for a more upscale feel, but just put up with those of us with babies since it seems somewhat slow. There were older children sitting on the patio. We started with the basil rolls, larb gai, and tom yum soup. The basil rolls were fresh with lots of julienned vegetables and not so much basil. The peanut dipping sauce was quite sweet. The larb gai (ground chicken, green onions, purple onion, fish sauce seasoning) mixture was good, though the slice of cabbage leaves wasn't really the size conducive to wrapping/rolling the mixture. Jimmy enjoyed his tom yum soup. For the mains, I got the green curry prawns with brown rice and J got the crispy basil duck with jasmine rice. My green curry was good - plenty of veggies and nice level of spice (which helped with the cold that my darling son gave me for MD). The brown rice looked almost reddish in color, but had good texture. The crispy basil duck was good, though the first bite that I got was a little too crispy - as if the meat (not the skin) had been overcooked and gotten dried out. The sauce was a little on the sweet side, but not so much to stop me from taking the last bite from J's plate since he was going to leave it. Unlike aforementioned reviewers, our service was fine. #Yelp365 - 129/365

I was visiting my mum at Rome, and this was one of the places around. I had the Massamun curry with brown rice which was great. We went a second time and I got the Pad Thai which I wasn't that fond of.

  • Erin W.

The food here is excellent, definitely the best Thai food I've had on this side of town. Our favorites are the Massmun curry and the Drunken Noodle. We get take-out from L'Thai nearly exclusively, so I can't comment much on the service, but the take-out service is excellent as well. We did eat in the restaurant one time and found service to be very slow, so I'd recommend not dining in if you're in a rush.

My husband and I have eaten here many times because the food and service is excellent! We have tried many different items on the menu and have been very happy with everything. We usually each order a different dish so we can eat off of each other's plates.

We LOVE L'Thai. The menu is as varied as can be and everything we've had is great. Typically the ambiance is really quiet...from time to time they have live music...always decent. The lighting (dark) actually makes it quite cozy and romantic. One of our favorite places to go.

I think this restaurant is completely underrated! The first time I went there (which was over a year ago) I found the prices too high and the menu confusing. Since then, they've revamped their menu and my fiance and I have come many times since then. The decor of the place is beautiful. It's very serene and romantic - perfect for a date night. I love the little waterfall wall inside. On the weekends, they often have live music, which I find very enjoyable. The service has always been fantastic. The last time we came here, we had a great server (I believe his name was Go (sp???)). He made our dining experience quite enjoyable, as he gave excellent recommendations and entertained us the whole time we were there. The food is delicious. We had the spring roll appetizers, which come very uniquely served in individual shot glasses with dipping sauce. The coconut soup is some of the best I've ever had. My fiance had the drunken noodles, which is now the only Thai dish he will eat and I typically get the massaman curry with just a little bit of spice to it. The dishes are always perfectly prepared and if you're looking for a bit of extra spice, they are more than willing to accommodate :) All in all, this place is a true gem and I would recommend it to anyone!!

Swanky hidden gem in an up and coming neighborhood. The service was average (it should've been freaking amazing with only a few bodies in there) but the food was great. The basil fresh rolls where excellent and the basil fried rice gets a thumbs up. The place is worth a try.

  • Alex H.

Good thai food and I liked that they have sustainable options for beef and pork (even though they were out of pork during my visit). I like that they have a serious selection of dessert options, which is unusual at Asian restaurants. They even have a jackfruit and durian fruit dessert option. I am interested in trying out the jackfruit option, and might possibly be convinced to try the durian. I'm going to have to keep these guys in mind when I feel like a dessert adventure.

This place is the bomb! A co-worker recommended that I visit for a good Thai lunch and I took her up on it. The food was delicious...and I am a huge fan of Thai food. I had the tofu drunken noodles...Thai hot. This is the first spot that I've ordered Thai hot that I actually thought I might have gone too far. Warning...don't order Thai hot unless you can handle it. I am in love with spicy food and my mouth was on FIRE. But the ingredients were so fresh and tasty, I finished my entire plate. I don't go out to lunch often, but when I do...L'Thai is it!

Walked out the first time because no one seated us or even looked at us for over 5 minutes. Tried it again last week and waited for at least 5 minutes again but were seated. After quite a wait, the waitress came to give us the ONE menu they had. I asked for the wine list. We waited a while again and finally just walked out. We walked up to Sushinobu in Village and was seated immediately and they had a fuller house than the other. If this Thai place is cutting back on menus then that is a REAL problem! . So sorry, can't comment on the food but I have no plans to go back. It's a shame because we are walking distance to th Village. Oh well!

I've had two occasions to sample L'Thai: today for a group lunch and a few months ago for dinner with my husband. On my initial visit, the two of us sang praises of the cuisine we sampled. Particularly, the green curry was astounding. Extremely creamy, tasty with the right spices everywhere and fresh and crisp vegetables and tofu. Today, I was greeted with inadequate service (a waiter that looked forlorn and just plain rude), a green curry that seemed to lack in the "liquid" department. a mess of bamboo shoots and just a lackluster lunch. No one else on my team was particularly impressed with the service or the food. To be fair, L'Thai is beautifully furnished - Thai artifacts, dark lighting, waterfalls....a great date night. They even had a singer/guitar player entertaining the crowd for the evening crowd. However, my very mundane experience this afternoon negates the 4 star review I probably would have given them had I been conscientious enough to write the review a couple of months ago. L'Thai, you'll probably get another chance. Maybe deal with your waiters' attitude and kick up your dishes plenty of notches. You had some potential.

Food is good, atmosphere is good, service is meh, and price is ... kind sorta blah considering the not-so-satisfying portions. We ordered the larb, green curry, basil fried rice, basil chicken, Pad Thai, and another noodle dish. Larb is excellent, though a bit salty. The green curry was probably my favorite, so order the green curry if you're a fan of curry. Pad Thai was decent, but I'm not a huge fan of Pad Thai. The basil fried rice is pretty good, so you should order the fried rice if you want to stay on the safe side. The other two dishes were just average. The restaurant's ambiance is impressive. It's one of those restaurants where you walk in, thinking you're going to have a casual dinner, then you want to walk back out because it looks super expensive. But the dishes are not too expensive. It's just that the portions are small, compared to the price. To give you a perspective: I could probably eat two dishes by myself. Anyways, back to the ambiance-- the lights are dimmed, black furnitures, small wall water fountain with piano set up for live music, and a full bar. It's worth it to check it out if you're in the area, but I probably won't go back anytime soon.

Great thai food in a great location. Their bar inventory is insane! Bottles upon bottles lining the wall. They even carry organic versions of spirits. Dinner was good, had the panang curry and pad kee mao. Not served family style however, as I don't like to pour my rice in my curry; I like to do it the other way around (curry onto rice). The pad kee mao was delicious, but I've had better thai food elsewhere. Otherwise still great flavor. Drinks were a bit overpriced I think, the food was reasonably priced. Service was great, the ambience is more seductive than I had expected. Great for a date due to lighting and warm decor. PS. I like their salt n pepper shakers (a couple embracing each other (salt a white figurine & pepper a black figurine) cheesy but too cute!)

I have been to Le'Thai a handful of times and where I'm never overly ecstatic about anything I've eaten, the food has always been decent. During lunchtime, there's never a wait, so it's often a good place to come for prompt seating. The service is also hit or miss but on my last and I literally mean MY LAST visit to this restaurant, we had the worst service I have ever experienced with a small group. I mention small groups b/c as we all know, when you're in a group of 6 or 8+, the service tends to trend downwards for a number of reasons: gratuity is already included, the server may not be able to meet the never ending demands of party attendees, inevitably someone's food will come out cold...when it ever comes out b/c of the size of the crowd, you know, the usual. But it was 1-2-3 of us, just 3. This guy had the worst attitude from the time we sat down, taking the orders and walking off without confirming what each had ordered, to plopping down our lukewarm coconut soup in front of us, and interrupting our conversation by REACHING OVER OUR FOOD (big big Jill S. no-no) to gather the unused utensils while we dined. The icing on the cake came when he came to get our plates and said "you finished?" while one of my fellow lunchers was in mid-bite. The scoop of ice cream on top of said cake...when asked about the check, my other lunch guest said one check. Clearly this man was not paying attention as he walked off before the sentenced ended. You already know what happens next...3 checks appear on the table. After being politely told the check was together, homie snaps back "I thought you said separate". Never do you argue, take your butt back over there and put the check together. Note to all servers. I have been in your shoes; you come to work and the day is just not going the way you want it. But you have to pull that back and put on your "I work with the public" service face and give the respect back to the patrons that have done nothing but respect you by spending money in your restaurant.

I always order to go, so I can not comment on the dining experience. I order the Chicken Drunken Noodles, love it. I order the dinner portion, it lasts about 2.5 meals. I have to visit L'thai once a month to get my fix. Friendly and fast service.

Oh, L'Thai. I won't go so far as to say this is my favorite Thai restaurant in the area, but this one certainly holds a special place in my heart. I'm always surprised this place is here, since this area isn't exactly hip enough to support an organic restaurant, but maybe this is exactly what Smyrna needs. My husband and I have been coming here for a few years, and the food has always been incredibly fresh, tasty, and fulfilling. I love their pretty extensive beer and win selection as well- if in doubt, ask for recommendations! Service can be hit or miss, it just depends on how busy they are. We've had incredible, spot-on service most of the time, but we've also been shuffled about from server to server (and occasionally to the manager) and forgotten several times. Decor is outstanding, a very nicely appointed dining room (with occasionally live musicians), and simple, relaxing patio spaces. A great date night spot! You should definitely try the Flash Fried Basil Rolls, crispy delicious rolls of awesome. Sometimes they come not fried, but they are still tasty! I think I come here mostly for these fried basil rolls! I'm also particularly fond of the L'Thai Rama Beef!

This place was good in so many ways. The food was fresh and very good. The ambiance was quiet and they had a full wine list!. The staff was friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family. My husband and I were treated very well by all!

We looooove L'thai. We first went there because of a purchased groupon and have not stopped going. Thai food is my favorite and so to find a restaurant with amazing thai food that's organic and healthier than just regular thai food has been amazing for me. This was my husband's first taste of thai food and he was hooked. The staff were friendly (and we got to know everyone since we ended becoming regulars!) I even brought my entire family who were in town for graduation to eat here, and they loved it. If you are looking for healthy and good thai food this is your place!

I am so happy to have L'Thai West in closer proximity to me than its counterpart in Tucker, GA. Check out a clip taken directly from their website: "When living a busy life, we sometime forget that the quality of our lives is determined by our health, both physically and mentally. Each morsel of food impacts the way we think and how we process our thoughts. When the body is properly nurtured, pleasant thoughts arise, and only then can innerpeace be possible." Love it, love it, love it (not to mention, it sort of coincides with my "Yelp" name)... The food here is extremely fresh, and you can detect the lovely herbs and flavors utilized. The servers are attentive and friendly, and it seems they all sort of help one another out. Furthermore and for the more "health-nut" foodies, they claim to use an impressive 95% organic food in their dishes. This Thai place is vegetarian friendly, with a list of about 25 total vegetarian options (including the curry) I would guesstimate. Matt and I ordered the L'Thai Spring Rolls and Fried Tofu to start, and then split the Tofu Gingerine and Mat-Sa-Man Curry. While both our entrees were fabulous, the curry sauce was to die for (mixed with coconut milk... mmmm. My mouth is salivating just writing about it). Bottom line, if you are a Thai food fan as I am (though I would term myself "fanatic"), you should certainly get your behind over to L'Thai. Who wouldn't with a mission statement as bold and impressive as the following: "Committed to Health, Vitality and Wellness of Body, Mind and Spirit for all People, and of the Planet." ... Gotta respect and appreciate that!

Horrible service. Takes forever to be seated. Waitresses are very rude. They don't even bother to answer the phone so they obviously have too much business and don't need any more. The food is not worth the bad attitude and lack of service.

I've been to L'Thai three times. The first time I thought it was some of the best Thai food I have ever had. The owner was there and made sure there was great service and talked enthusiastically about the peppers he was growing for the restaurant. It was a 5 star restaurant. The next two times we went there it was mediocre food met with very poor service. I am not sure if it just happens when the owner is away or what has happened. But wouldn't recommend.

This is an underrated Thai spot. We've been here a few times and never had a bad meal. The atmosphere is very nice, good service, a long bar area, and an outdoor patio. Has a loungy feel to it inside. This time, we started off with a Tom-Kha soup which was standard, but good flavor. With our Scoutmob in hand, we ordered 2 'chef specials' - the Crispy Basil Duck and the Grouper Gingerine. Both were excellent. The duck was very generous in portion, boneless and thinly sliced, sauteed with snowpeas, chili, basil leaves, and peppers in a garlic sauce. No game taste. My only complaint is that is was very sweet which is nice at first but gets tired towards the end. The grouper was pan seared and nicely crispy. It was a huge filet sauteed with ginger, onions, mushrooms, broccoli, and asparagus. Everything else we have tried here, curries, etc. all have been very good. Everything organic, bonus...a regular spot for us.

L'Thai is our go to for local Thai. The food is consistently great with generous portions, the service is polite and attentive, and the atmosphere is a bit more upscale than the other places in Smyrna. I enjoy the laab appetizer which could probably be an entree unto itself, but I'm partial towards the Pad Kee Mao made Thai hot; there's quite a bit of regret the next day but I'd rather live in the moment! You can always step the spicy down a notch or two and ask for the condiment tray to add your own to taste. Lunch specials are also generously portioned and come with a tasty spring roll!

How anyone could ever give this place a bad review, I will never know. Do they know that this place has won international awards and acclaim from the Thai government as being "one hell of a Thai restaurant in America" ? I took the liberty of paraphrasing the Thai government in that last statement by the way. I will follow that up by saying I have been a fan of L'Thai since I worked near their Lawrenceville location. Nick and I went for dinner one weekday night and requested seating on their patio, which is very nice. We started with the Spring Rolls and Calamari, both of which were top notch...light and flavorful, not overwhelmingly fried. I had a glass of white wine and Nick had a Sapporo I think...they have a huge selection of wine / beer / cocktails. We shared the famous L'Thai Fried Rice for dinner and were not disappointed. It was again flavorful, without being overwhelming...the fresh vegetables and rice were cooked perfection. Unlike so many other Asian restaurants, we left feeling full but not gluttonous. The parking is great as this place is nestled in the West Village in Smyrna, right off 285 for those of you who dare to venture OTP. I would say that this place is definitely worth the drive. We plan on going back to sit inside for a romantic dinner...the interior decor is swanky and quiet, perfect for a date.

My co-workers and I visited L'Thai restaurant for lunch today and I was really excited to try it out based on the reviews I saw on Yelp. Well I must say I was very disappointed. The restaurant is beautifully decorated but the service sucked and I can think of a million more Thai spots around Atlanta to go for better food. There was a rude older gentleman that pointed towards a booth when we walked in then it took 20 minutes before anyone brought menus or water. I ordered the Shrimp appetizer and I swear the shrimp was undercooked in the middle. For my entree I had Basil Chicken which was salty and the meat was grinded up like italian sausage gross! I will stick with the Thai Diner or some of my other favorite spots. No need to try this one again.

My new favorite Thai restaurant! L'Thai's menu is amazing! From their organic wine and beer selections to the delicious curries, everything I have had there has been wonderful! I think they have been bombarded by Groupons and Scoutmob patrons, and sometimes the service can be slow, but I am glad that they are getting the exposure that they deserve. I need to branch out and try some other entrees, but I can't get away from the curry dishes. I have had the green, the red, and the yellow curries, and they are SO good. I think the green curry is my favorite - fresh organic veggies, just the right amount of heat, all swirled together with rich coconut milk. Mmmm.... And I don't know what they do with their organic brown rice, but it is so freaking good. I can't wait to back back to this place!

Organic Food at a restaurant!! That is genius. How many restaurants are doing that these days? I took a bight of like 3 dishes besides my own, which was seafood pad thai. It was good. I did not order it because I was late getting to the restaurant. I do not like calamari. I would not have ordered a seafood pad thai anywhere, but my noodles and other particulars of which I do not have a name for were excellent. F.B.I. for dessert was the highlight! Fried bananas with ice cream!! I was so so good. Worth the entire trip. The service was excellent, the food was served quickly. We were all there for lunch at around 11:45. Group of 5 of us from school. Great for groups.

Here's a place where they want you to know...to really know their food is organic. To be honest, I really couldn't get past it. The awning has "Organic," the menu begins with an emphasis on organic, and that word is just all over the menu. At some point I got tired of it and almost felt like I was doing a disservice to humanity by not ordering the more expensive organic beef. All-in-all it was a solid Thai experience. The flavors were well balanced and the portions were satisfying. Service was quick, friendly and I enjoyed myself.

The food here is great, the customer service SUCKS!!! I have been coming here for years & I always get this feeling...... The feeling is that, they don't like Black People. I hate to say this, but we as a Race know that feeling. I came in to order some takeout on 6/20/2012 & it took them 15 minutes to even acknowledge me & my daughter. THEN I place my order & asked for some plates & they said to me, well if you need a plate, why don't you just dine in! REALLY!!!! They, then proceeded to tell me that they don't have carryout plates, so I asked for an extra to go box. So then the manager or someone comes out & tells me that they can't give me a extra box, I then say, well someone gave me one a few days ago with no problem, then they make a HUGE deal about that. REALLY....This place has some of the HIGHEST PRICED Thai food in Atlanta & you are making a big deal about a carryout box. I don't usually write negative reviews, but I hope that they see this review & make some changes. They finally went on and gave me a extra carry out box, but I will NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN. Its a shame because I would literally come here every day, but I ReFUse to be treated like Crap.

Okay, it was very difficult for me to believe that the best Thai restaurant in Atlanta could be located in the Smyrna-Vinings area, but it is. For years and years, my wife and I have been alternating our patronage between Thai Chili on Briarcliff and Tamarind Seed on 14th and Peachtree, but my Russian friend, Slava, says we must try L'Thai. And I hate it when Slava is right, but he really is on this one. Everything is organic and exquisitely prepared. Period. I know the name is sort of ridiculous, but the food is out-of-this-world. I kid you not.

Something very rare happened. The food was BETTER than I remembered the first time I visited! Compliments of Scoutmob, my meal was like Christmas! I was there on a Monday. The atmosphere is SEXY! It is definitely a great date spot. My friend and I shared the Basil Rolls, thew were the BEST! The vegetables had SO MUCH FLAVOR! and the presentation was A+! We had the Panang Curry and Spinach Salad. The flavors were spot on! Now I have been to about 8 Thai Restaurants in the last 6 weeks, in and out of the state. My gripe has been they never put the Curry in a BOWL, it's always on a plate! and I never have enough sauce. Let me say. L'Thai DID NOT let me DOWN!!! I FINALLY received a BOWL with plenty sauce!! I'm a happy camper. I'm so glad they are close. I will definitely be a regular.

Went with my wife for our anniversary. Nice ambience and food...but the service is a completely different matter. Took them over 15 mins to ask us about our drinks order...hot tea and soda took 20 minutes to arrive...more delays with taking the food order...and then all the food - appetizer and main dishes - came our at the same time and everything was cramped together on the table for two.... What bugged us is that the two couples on tables on either side of us were served properly, attended more frequently....not sure why this was the case.. when we asked for the food to be packed, the server just dropped the stryofoam boxes on our table....while he himself boxed the remaining food for the other patrons. Didn't even ask if we wanted dessert! If not for the service, this is one of the better Thai restaurants.

Went there with my husband and parents who are vegetarian. We ordered a mix of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. For dinner, we ordered Tofu Chilli, Tofu Drunken Noodles & Tofu Green Curry to which the waiter says "that's it? Only 3 items? No appetizers?". We are not big eaters and usually order more if we think we need more food. That was very shocking for a waiter at a nice restaurant to say. The food is kinda pricey for the portions and despite telling him twice that we didnt want eggs in drunken noodles and I saw him scribbling it down in his notepad, guess what, there was egg. We had taken about 1/3 of it in our plates already before realizing but they took the rest back to correct the order. When it came back there was 1/3 less than what we initially got... Very surprising as I have never got the same amt that I returned after the restaurant made a mistake. The food was decent but the service was disappointing and the wrong menu item was not taken out of the final bill either. Thanks to Scoutmob, we didn't feel that we got totally ripped off. The ambiance is great and even though it is located a mile from our house, we will not return. Also, the restaurant was only 10% full on a Sat night. Says something...

Absolutely excellent Thai food...and it's HEALTHY! The decor is warm and colorful. My wife and I started with the crab cake appetizer and coconut soup. both were delicious! For entrees, we had Pad Thai with Prawns and Garlic Chili Seafood. I like it spicy, but ordered it not too hot. It was plenty hot, but just right! You must try the deserts! OK, so the food was so good we are going to take my brother in law who prides himself on knowing all the great Thai restaurants in town. Now he will know the best Thai in town! The Thai believe "food is medicine", and L'Thai is making some mighty good medicine. I think I'm addicted!!! Don't let the "organic" part scare you, that just makes it fresher and better for you. Go, but don't tell everyone. Get the organic "Scarecrow" beer. Great West Village location. OK, enough! If you don't try it its your loss.

despite the name, this is not a french-thai fusion restaurant. it is thai cuisine that features fresh organic ingredients. and like most thai restaurants, they feature vegetarian - vegan options on the menu. their penang is solid and the decor is appropriate for a wednesday wind down dinner after work or a nice unpretentious 3rd date dinner. i've enjoyed everything i've had here, but the spring roll app is my fave...it may all be in the presentation. my only complaint is that the ceiling on "hot" is not high enough. i like my thai food to make me sweat! go here for solid thai.

Even tho the 3 star rating says A-OK, it really is Meh. But its not bad enough for 2 stars. I have eaten here twice for lunch, and while it was okay, it didn't make me want to go back. Ha-ha, but I did!

Excellent food, but over-priced considering the number of competing restaurants with as good or better quality food. Service was un-even although friendly. It took over 10 minutes to take our drink order and then when requesting wine the server left to get the first glass of wine before we made the entire drink order. At some point our first server stopped coming to our table and another took his place. We upset him perhaps? Another individual delivered our check and hovered over as I signed the bill. This was odd in itself, but then the bill she handed us was handwritten the tip amount and totaled the billed for us. Not that big a deal since we used a ScoutMob deal and I think it had a disclaimer they automatically added the tip. The suspicious part was that the "4" on the bill was written like a "9". Would've been a pain in the ass sorting that out with credit card company for a $40 dinner bill coming in as $90. Another thing occurred as we were seated as well. The place was not crowded and there was plenty of seating but they seemed to be crowding all 2 person parties into one tightly confined area. Why? No big deal if they were busy and short on seating but why bunch everyone up otherwise? The place is nicely decorated but seems contrived especially when you factor in the the un-even service. I have a feeling they are trying to be upscale, but as of right now I can't feel it. Back to the food. We had the chicken green curry and pad thai with shrimp and vegetables (they charged extra for the vegetables). I have to admit the dishes were good and compare well to the other Thai restaurants I hold in high regard. I doubt I'll be going here again though. The cost and primarily the service will keep me going to other nearby Thai alternatives.

The vegetarian spring rolls were really good. We have several tofu based dishes , Pa Nang style, Prik King which were good. The service was a little, we asked for take out and gave my credit card and then the owner went to the next customer to seat them, chatted with them for 5 mins before coming back to hand us the credit slip to sign. A little annoying.

We just ordered takeout from L'Thai West: - Basil fried rice with chicken - Pad See Ew with chicken - Green curry with chicken and jasmine rice - Stuffed chicken wings Everything is absolutely delicious! We ordered everything with "three peppers" spiciness with four peppers being the hottest. I love spicy food and this is just right. Clears my sinuses but doesn't make my eyes water. :) I don't think I'll order the stuffed chicken wings again though. They are good, but they are stuffed with a minced, seasoned chicken that is dark meat, which I am not a fan of. Basil fried rice is one of my favorite foods on the planet though and theirs is awesome. I've tried basil fried rice and at least a dozen Thai restaurants over the years and this is one of the best I've had, if not THE best. The quality of the chicken is quite apparent as well. Very impressed overall with the quality of the food, and am also thrilled to know that it is almost entirely organic and everything is MSG-free. You can even get grassfed beef if you want. Fantastic. While we didn't actually eat in the restaurant, the restaurant ambience is quite nice and well decorated. I can't speak to service, but the hostess was very sweet and friendly to chat with as we waited for our food, as was the manager/owner. I plan to eat the food here often! Highly recommend to anyone who lives or works in the area.

I like the location. The dining area is classy, sophisticated, but the bar area is very much like a lounge. Around the restaurant, they have several flat screen TVs with only sports station on. Interesting mix. It's nice, just interesting. We had Pad Thai, Calamari, Soup, Thai Tea, and Guava drink. The restaurant emphasis a lot on their food being organic. They even have a vegetarian menu on the side. I grew up with a mother that cook nothing but organic and kosher meat. From the way they prep it, I couldn't tell that it were organic. So does that mean it's good? Fairly. My Pad Thai was rather disappointing. I had it with shrimp and tofu (as my profile states -- i have abnormal tastes for things) The shrimp and tofu were tasteless. It tastes as if they just threw those two in my dish without actually marinating or cook it with the dish. The presentation is decent. The food was decent. Personally, growing up eating nothing but organic food and now that I'm living on my own, anything organic just only makes me feel as if I'm eating healthy. I like organic food. I do shop at Whole Foods when I can. This place just don't make me feel that I'm eating healthy. Also the server didn't know English well, so they kinda messed up on our order. Despite that, their service was rather nice.

I was invited by a friend to a Birthday party at the Smyrna location. We were about ten people altogether, but the rest of the restaurant was pretty empty. The service was so bad, I couldn't believe it. IT took forever to get our food and they got many items wrong. Some people were served and others not (at the same table of 10 pp) Let me say, that I was getting my entree when everyone else was eating the Birthday cake. It was ridiculous. There were other dishes left on the table without being cleared away. When I turned to talk to a person on my right side, I turned back around to continue to eat my Entree and my plate was taken away by the Waiter with the food that I was still eating!! They took it away without asking me. So, they prepared another dish for me to take home. Before I started writing this review, I glanced at the other reviews and this POOR SERVICE thing has been going on for years there. You would think that they would learn from their mistakes and read the reviews that Customers are writing about them!!!. The food was decent, but I would never go back again. No justification for such bad service.

Had dinner with friends here a week ago. I'm not normally a Thai food guy, but friends wanted to go so I gave in. I have to admit it was great. The staff was super friendly and food was GREAT. My friends that eat here are Asian food experts and they even think this is the best. Go for it.

I decided to stop for lunch since L'Thai is just down the street from my house and that it was on scoutmob. This is my first time dining at this restaurant and wanted to give it try. The food was just okay, nothing special. I ordered the traditional Pad Thai noodles which is a common dish that you can get from any Thai restaurant and trust me, I've had better. The baby dried shrimp just didn't sit well with me in the dish. So the reason of one star? (I would give it zero star if that's an option) Service. The service is beyond horrible. There was a waitress and a waiter that day and I would say 5 other tables with 3 table like myself dining alone but the servers were nowhere to be found. When the waiter finally came around I asked for some lime, he nodded his head with irritation and walked away. After dining, I sat there for at least 10 minutes before he came around so that I can ask for my check. Again he rush off with irritation. When my check arrived, I show him the scoutmob deal and he took the discount off the bill. I gave him my credit card for payment and he said "there is a 10 minimum for using credit card". Since my bill did not exceed $10, he refused my card. I told him I only have credit cards and checks on me. I don't have any cash. After telling him that, he said nothing and walked away. WTF?? I did not see any notice in the restaurant of this policy either!!! I find him for being the rudest server I have ever encountered and will never go back to this place. There are plenty of excellent Thai restaurants around this area that I will not visit this place again. For those of you that are looking for excellent Thai food and service in this area, try Thai Diner Vinnings or Pad Thai Smyrna. Don't waste your money at L'Thai.

The service is horrible. We waited and waited for someone to take our drink/food order. We were treated as if they could care less if we ever came back. The food is decent but I'm sure I can find good food and caring service elsewhere. It's too bad because we live in the same complex but I've been three times and I give up.

The atmosphere of L'Thai West is inviting and cozy, but the service is lacking. Maybe we just hit it on a bad night, but the server brought the boyfriend chicken instead of sirloin, and never brought my sparkling water. My Pad Thai tasted very shrimp-y... and that was quite off-putting. It shouldn't have been that shrimp-tastic. Parking is a little difficult, but I'd give it another try, even if just for take-out.

While on a mission in Atlanta, my son took us to L'Thai West... an organic Thai restaurant. The food was some of the best Thai I have had. I had spring rolls and the Green Curry Beef. Excellent dish. Others in my group also liked their food. One son had Pad Thai Beef... the noodles were darker than the white ones we get at home. It's right off of the Interstate and easy to get to. I shall be back. Good quiet atmosphere and excellent service.

First, let me say that I'm a pretty dedicated midtowner who hates to drive. I don't often venture outside the perimeter to dine, but after dining at L'Thai West I'm reconsidering. L'Thai West is located in a mixed use community with several other restaurants including Crepe Revolution. In fact this little community is making rethink my stance on the OTP living... i was very impressed with the freshness of the organic basil rolls. They were so light and tasty. I highly recommend them for a non-filling appetizer. They came with a peanut sauce that was tasty, but I wish there was another sauce that came with it for variety. My vegetable green chili curry was amazing. The sauce was very rich with a surprise spicy kick for a finish. I thought the portion sizes were just right, but my friend did not. My friend declared the Mat-Sa-man curry as 'the best thing ever' and complained that she didn't have enough to take home with her. We almost placed to go orders, so that we could enjoy left over Thai food for lunch. L'Thai West would be a great date spot for those who live in the area. The interior is full of dark modern looking furniture. I know that the next time I feel like great Thai food, I'm not going to settle for one of the mediocre places within walking distance, L'Thai West is worth the drive.

I had the lunch special for 6 bucks and it was some type of thai curry with chicken. The meal itself was great, good spice and the food quality was excellent. The portion size is small, however I prefer that actually because I don't eat like a horse. The dinning atmosphere is great as well. I think the food quality is better than top spice, but the portion size is small. The lunch special is the way to go. Another BIG plus is the place was NOT crowded on a Friday for lunch.

This place is great. I wish it was closer to town! No Thai restaurant in town offers grass fed beef or organic veggies. Have tried and loved: lad na, panang, masaman, green curry (tasty though perhaps a bit thin), chili tofu with green beans. Fresh basil rolls also great. Staff very friendly.

Wow, I don;t know what the person before me experienced, so this will be quite a different review! I cannot speak to the dining in experience, but I am a fairly decent thai cook and critic. There are some very good Atanta Thai restaurants, so I was thrilled when this one opened up a miles from my home. I ordered the fresh Basil Rolls (not the crispy fried ones) and the Chicken Larb to go. First off, it's was full on dinner timeframe and there were only 5 tables in play, with another being seated. The two people working the floor looked so confused and discombobulated that I was concerned for them. One guy looked so stressed! I paid for my $15.00 order (truly, I got Larb and basil rols...very expensive for so little). When I ordered, they told me it would be 10-15 mins. I got there in 15 mins. The guy was just bringing my bag up to the front. When I got it home, I opened the flimsy, leaky crappy container to find LUKE WARM larb that was sitting on the cabbage that had now wilted. Along with the wilted cabbage leaves sitting under the Larb, there was the cabbage I was supposed to eat with the Larb and it was the tiniest cut of cabbage I have ever seen. Teeny weeny! Not enough to eat with the Larb. Too bad because it was probably the only thing that saved the nasty taste of the chicken Larb. It tasted like they burnt it and then sprinkled cinnamon on it. If you know how Larb is made, this isn't a creative addition. It was gross. Larb is the easiest Thai dish to make, but they messed it up. Then I opened the fresh basil rolls. The size was great. They were full rolls. When I bit into it, I found out why. It was pretty much lettuce ONLY and not much else. It was lettuce rolled in a rice wrapper! I ate one and threw the other away. I could have taken my $17 and thrown it into the trash for the value and pleasure I got from this meal - $15 plus a $2 tip for a food pickup. It was a total waste of money. I can only hope that they might do Phad Thai or something like Panang Curry better, but I am not sure I really wish to waste my money again to try it. I would rather go a few more miles to Thai Diner in Vinings and KNOW that I am going to get a great tasting Thai dinner. Sorry, L'Thai West. You will end up being another restaurant in West Village that fails because you charge too much for the quality and taste of your food. Instead, it's too bad you don't spend all that money you charge to hire someone who can cook genuine thai and to train your staff so they aren't so confused and stressed in a dining room that has only a few people to serve. When will West Villiage get a GOOD Thai restaurant???

I absolutely love Thai food so writing this review - i'm letting the audience know that I have had experience at several thai restaurants. The one thing that keeps me from coming back is the horrible service. I came on a Friday night (granted it IS a Friday, however, it's no excuse for such poor service), and it actually wasn't even packed yet. My date and I waited over an hour for our food to be brought to our table - what made it worse was that the couple that ordered after us received their food first. Second, the prices were high for average food; I understand they claim their food is "organic", but taste could be improved. The portions were also very small! The food was decent, but the prices were certainly not justified for the poor service. The ambiance of the venue was great, but the poor service masked the entire experience with disappointment. Third, we used our scout mob coupon, and the owner (i'm assuming she is the owner) added 18% gratuity when it was not mentioned on the scout mob itself nor on the menu! I don't mind forking over 18%, but when it's not deserved, i'm pretty irked. I would have spoke to management, but we were in there so long that I just wanted to leave. All in all, I would not recommend you going unless it's lunch, or dinner on a slow night since they are under-staffed. I had a terrible experience, and it was a waste of my Friday night. If you love thai food like myself, don't go.

I'm giving this restaurant 2 stars because the food was decent. The lack of a good rating is strictly because of the TERRIBLE service. We arrived for an early dinner at around 5:30pm on Saturday. The was one other couple in the entire restaurant. We asked to be seated at a booth and were told we could not get a booth because we didn't have reservations and it was going to be a very busy evening. We were seated directly across from the other couple in the restaurant. The waitress acted like it was a task to take our order. We weren't offered any information about the specials. And were generally ignored. The food was tasty and despite the crappy service, we enjoyed our meal. When we left at 6:45ish NO ONE had come in to the restaurant. The booths remained empty as did all the other tables. Hmmm . . . Guess they could have seated us at a booth afterall. Maybe if they improved their customer service they would get customers. Instead I will continue to go to my favorite Thai restaurant in Marietta, Thaicoon.

This place is unbelievable. The food is fresh, the quality is outstanding, and the service is unbeatable. Everyone there treats you like family and welcomes you to try new and exotic foods. The organic wine selection is fantastic, and trust me, I know my wine. My husband and I had such a great time on our first visit, that we returned twice in the last two weeks. Although the to-go orders are great, don't miss out on the dining experience here. So, the next time you want to avoid the long lines and bad service of Orient Express, try this place instead. You'll be delightfully surprised.

If you haven't eaten at L' Thai in West Village - aka Smynings, you are definately missing out! This place is awesome! The food is fantastic, try the drunken noodles or the red curry! The service is every bit as good as the food! I have never seen such a friendly staff! Do yourself a favor and stop in!

I really hate to give the place only 3 stars, the food was great and our waitress was very friendly. I was impressed with the wine selection and I loved the dish I ordered (drunken noodles). However, there was one man who I'm pretty sure was the manager or owner who really ruined the whole experience for us. My friend had a coupon from Scoutmob which is the reason we went in the first place. After we had all ordered entrees, drinks, and dessert, this one particular man was clearing off our plates occasionally and he was very cold and when we made comments about how good the plate was, he said absolutely nothing to us and I had made a comment to our friends that he obviously doesn't care that we thought it was good and we all sort of laughed about it. Then, it happened to be him who brought the check, at which point my friend showed him her phone with the Scoutmob coupon. He asked her for the code number, then walked off. When he came back he had a clipboard with numbers crossed off of it and informed us that our coupon was invalid because it had already been used. It had not ever been used, obviously someone had just crossed off the wrong number on his little sheet (which seemed like a really stupid way to keep up with things in the first place). The discount was only $15, but the guy was basically accusing us of lying and insisted that we had already used the coupon. The bill was around $100, so after several minutes of him repeating to my friend that we couldn't use the coupon, I finally spoke up and asked him if it was really worth losing four future repeat customers over $15 on a $100 check? He said nothing, stormed off, and a little while later our waitress came back with the checks. He did apply the discount, but was very rude about the whole thing, and never came back to our table to tell us he was going to give us the discount, and never apologized for his accusing behavior. It left me feeling very annoyed and insulted and there are enough other good Thai places out there that I don't think we'll be going back. It's unfortunate.

Really like this place! The food is delicious! All the ingredients are very fresh and it shows through in the taste! Priced reasonable, great for a avg. night out or could dress up and kinda do the date night thing. They have endless options and all of their dishes are prepared to order! Only downside is that it can often take a while- i think due to preparing one by one... in my opinion it is worth the wait... i always start with the basil rolls and a soup (lemongrass or coconut) ... mix it up on the main but we always get the Pa-Nang Curry w chic.

Lovely atmosphere. Friendly service. Food was delicious. Large selection to allow extremely healthy options and indulgent options. We enjoyed the red curry which was perfect with a nutty brown rice, the pad thai with huge shrimp, basil rolls were delightful and the tom yum soup was deliciously good for the soul. Do yourself a favor and go there for a great meal
