Over rated! Biscuits were way too buttery and heavy. The fried chicken was extremely greasy. The buffet did not have many options. I much preferred Mrs. Wilkes where everything was fresh & hot. Anyone planning a trip to savannah must go to Mrs. Wilkes and skip Paula Deen's!

The fried chicken crust is very good but chicken itself Mediocre. They take it from the buffet that's been sitting there for hours even when you order it off the menu. A bit dry. The level of fried and butter just isn't necessary to make the food tasty, but I guess that's just the Paula way. Checked the box while here for the first time but wouldn't come back for any reason. The staff was very friendly and the best meal was the salmon dish.

This sweet lady has clearly NOT visited her restaurant in quite some time. This is a glorified Golden Corral--mediocre buffet with less than mediocre service. What happened to the Lady and Sons of the original location in City Market with white tablecloths and excellent service???? This poor imitation is DREADFUL.

Food was good. Got the buffet. It had fried chicken, turkey legs, and pulled pork. They were all really good. The sides were also good. It included Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, corn bread, and grits. Being a buffet, it was nice that the food was fresh and not sitting and getting stale. The drink my wife got (peach Bellini) was so-so, and not worth the $11 price tag. Service was good. Forgot the starters...the bread and pancakes were really good, but you don't get refills.

We were really excited to go here. But we were sadly let down. We went on a Sunday evening when the only option is the buffet. There is no menu on Sunday. The buffet was disappointing. The broccoli, lima beans and green beens tasted like they came from a bag or can. They covered up the bagged/canned taste with melted butter and cheese. This would have been fine if you were eating at home but we paid $18 a person and were expecting better. The mashed potatoes were instant, from a box, and seasoned with butter and garlic to attempt to hide the instant taste. The fried chicken was dried out. The salad bar was worse than Ruby Tuesday's. The best part of the buffet was the sweet potatoes. And the dessert was very good, but you could t go get it yourself. You had to wait for an available waitress to bring it to you. If you are in Savannah there are much better restaurants all over town. Save your money and eat local.

Our server, Corey, was fantastic! He was busy with several tables yet on top of his "game". He kept our glasses filled and removed plates before they piled up.

We feel so bad just giving this darling southern lady just 3 stars, but really. For all she has done, for all she is known for, and after taking the Paula Deen tour and learning about her hard knock life, we were expecting and hoping for truly delicious out of this world food. Ehh is all we could muster for the buffet. And we were hungry! Cute decor, great service and loved the old, well-worn building. frankly, just love old Savannah period and could eat about anything anywhere there and give it 3 stars. Sorry, Paula and sons. Maybe next year your new restaurant will be open and we'll be there ready to give you the high 5!

Maybe I expected too much because of Paula Deen's name on this restaurant. Atmosphere was more like a cafeteria than a Southern charm restaurant. Took the elevator to the third floor walked into a loud noisy room. Buffet was just okay. There are better ones in my hometown. My biggest disappointment was that the fried chicken was flavorless and dry. The pulled pork was very good. The rest of the buffet was just fillers like beans sweet potatoes collard greens, southern fare but nothing with any special flavors. The bread was very good and the chicken pot pie was good if you ate it right away because the crust was puffy and buttery but as it got colder it became greasy! The chicken in the pot pie was stringy so I told the waiter and he said I know. The flavor of the gravy in the pot pie was tasty I must admit because it was Paula's restaurant I only gave it one star. I'd probably give it zero stars if that was an option. This is a pure tourist trap --- stay away. KFC has much better fried chicken.

The food is ok, expected more from this restaurant. It was not bad at all and would go back to give it another try.

Few choices. Biscuits good. Veggies over cooked. Buffet had few choices. Expected elegance, got Dennys quality.

Had dinner here first night in savannah. Great Fried chicken and southern food. After all the fried food didn't want anything but salads and soups days later.

Foodwise, not exciting or tasty. I got the buffet all you can eat, and there were around 10 to 12 items of basically the same 3 or 4 things in different forms such as potato salad, mashed potatoes, french fries, baked potato, etc. Not healthy either, but I guess this is Sourthen food. Expensive, enviroment is ok, and service was good depending on the waiter.
