As a Jersey girl ( the Soprano state) I know Italian . This is as close as you will get to East Coast Italian food . The name is cute and a great play on the movie. Not made to feel alone when I was. Wow....is the best way to start. This party of (1) one was treated like a party of many. I ask if I could be seated by a window and there I was in a great spot to people and street watch while I dined. Friendly upbeat hostess with a smile delivered that made you feel like family. I have a true love for the cannelloni at Rosa's in Pismo Beach so to find it on this menu made my taste buds impatient. I could not imagine finding this dish to be equal to what I have every time I visit the west coast. Well now I will have this dish every time I visit the east coast too. I found my choice to be very tasty, even though a bit of a different style than the one on the west coast. Plenty of Cheese and wonderful marinara sauce. Just the right amount of tangy, and the pasta tasted as though they had just hand rolled it. The menu offered a number of great choices but was not overwhelming. Bread and dipping oil was par and the salad was plentiful of greens and add ins. Not just lettuce. The other dinners coming out looked as appealing as mine did, and people around seemed happy and no one complaining. That's always a good sign. My waiter was equally as pleasing. He was fairly new to the area but was knowledgeable and paid just the right amount of attention. When I ask if they offered FERNET ...he had to ask, and I was happy when they did. I first had this Italian Liquor when with my Son and Daughter-in-law and I'm a fan. A big one, so this was the perfect way to end my dining experience at Corleone's. You won't go wrong with this place. Service, Food, and Price are all right in line with the area. The true Italian atmosphere and great food and smells makes this place a must for Italian food lovers. I will go back on my next visit to Savannah.

We went to Corleone's last night for dinner and it was perfect. The garlic bread to start to meal was amazing with the best dipping sauce I've ever tasted! For being an up-scale restaurant, the prices were great! Our family of 6 walked out of there with a bill under $75, The food was cooked perfectly and the portions were large - we all walked out with doggie bags. Definitely would recommend!

We ate here twice on a quick trip to Virginia; once on the way up, and once on the way back. It is one of the best Italian places I have ever been to. Corleone's is located in downtown, but it's over closer to the visitor center, rather than near the river walk area. Any of the Trolleys go right in front of it - be sure to get off there and have a great meal. The service both times was exemplary (different servers, both wonderful). The food is amazing. The place is clean and friendly. It was such a great dining experience. The first night, I had baked ziti. I wanted it altered a little; instead of red sauce, I wanted pink. And, I wanted some peas in it. They accommodated that special request perfectly. My friend had the eggplant parmesan both times, and it was out of this world delicious. The second night, I had the fettuccine alfredo - sooooooo good (what's not to love about butter, parmesan and cream?!)! But, the very, very BEST part of this meal is the amazing bread. It is warm and delicious and wonderful. It comes with a vat of olive oil dipping stuff that is so flavorful - you WILL be asking for seconds! There is plenty of street parking all around this place; in some spots, it's meters, sometimes it's free for 2 hours. We didn't have trouble parking, but it was a weeknight both times. I reserve 5 stars for restaurants that are vegan or vegetarian, otherwise this would have been a 5! Skip the touristy places, you can't go wrong eating here.

This is my first time coming to Savannah, me and my friend were super hungry so we decided to Yelp restaurants and on the reviews we came to this restaurant. We ordered bruchesta for app it looked good but it wasn't that good, the bread is too hard and crust. For main course I ordered penne a la vodka took off the pork and asked for mushrooms instead, unfortunately the mushrooms were not fresh at all "canned" which makes the pasta tastes bad. On the other hand, my friend ordered lasagne and the meat was canned as well. In my point of view, Italian restaurants should always cook with fresh ingredients in order to have good food quality.

We were not disappointed. Portions are huge even for an Italian restaurant and prices are reasonable considering you are in Savannah. I ordered the vodka penne which was loaded with pancetta and pass to compliment the meal. My husband ordered spaghetti and meatballs. He said the sauce was great, but the meatballs was just a little salty. Management was going to take note for tomorrow. Bread was hearty baguettes with garlic baked in. Nice pesto oil for dipping.. Everyone around us looked equally satisfied.. our finishing touch was the creme brulee, though the tiramisu was the house recommendation. It was light and flavorful after a heavy meal. Enjoy
3.5 stars is just about right. Corleone's is a decent enough Italian eatery just off the main drag in downtown Savannah. Easy enough to walk to, Corleone's should be on your list of walkable Italian restaurants downtown. As you walk in the host stand is in the bar area, and like the rest of the restaurant is dimly lit (almost too much so). My first impression of the place is that it seems a little dingy. You'll see the kitchen on the left and the main dining room on the right as you are greeted, and the bar on the night of this review had more servers than patrons sitting, watching the college football game while wrapping silverware in paper napkins. Service is actually decent - attentive, but not overly so. On our recent visit we started with a bottle of wine, the Primitivo. Not available. So we choose the Ducale, which at $42 is a nice choice - just not the one we wanted. Bread is good enough served with an olive oil and cheese dip. Add some pepper and you could make a meal of the cibo! The highlight of our meal was the spicy, rich Pasta Fagiole soup, a special this evening. If it's on the menu, order it. You won't be disappointed! Entrees are all solid representations of your favorite Italian/American dishes. None are spectacular, and none are lousy either. Though not on the menu ask for a side dish of hot Italian sausage. It's way better than the regular sausage on the menu. All in all, Corleone's is much better than your typical Olive Garden, is less ritzy than Garibaldi's, but is not as tasty as nearby Bella's. If you're downtown and can't get out to Bella's and don't want the Garibaldi's scene, Corleone's is a great walk-to choice.

Decided to try Corleone's after reading a bunch of reviews... aside from the attentive service this restaurant was a major disappointment. Chicken Parm--just nothing of note to say about it. Pasta was slightly overdone and over-sauced too. Portions were generous, but who wants a huge portion of a dish you're not crazy about?? The rest of the group seemed to feel the same way. A ton of "ok" food.
The place is obviously inspired by "The Godfather" but it is not really a deal that you can't refuse... OK, that was easy but it was not bad, in fact the service and food are fine and the setting is nice. But nothing is really memorable here, it's rather average. We stumbled on the place while making a walking tour around Savannah which is a quite nice city. We were on our way back from the riverfront where we did hope to find something to eat but it seems that those are more drinking places than easting ones... anyway, we saw this restaurant and it did look like one of the good and affordable spot in this area. It serves it's purpose and we were happy with the experience in general but we will not remember it for as long as we recall the movie... and BTW, I was a little surprised that they could use that name and image as I did not notice any license rights for that... maybe there is.

Was in Savannah with my family and my daughter spotted a Chicago Blackhawks flag outside a restaurant. We decided to check it out - with my daughters sporting 'Hawks shirts (night of game 4 of Stanley Cup!). The owner is extremely nice guy who is dedicated to seeing that everyone enjoys their meal - which was delicious. I recommend the lasagna with meat sauce. My younger daughter loved the spaghetti and meatballs (for two days, portions are large!). Tortellini and a pizza burger were the other entrees and both were very good as well. Wait staff and atmosphere were very welcoming. Tip: if you're a Blackhawks fan, let it show!

I feel sorry for those that recommend this place. It is a joke! Our waiter was not very knowledgeable of what was on the menu and what each dish contained. I ordered the lasagna, trying to play it safe, but it was very bland and was not a big portion for the money ($14). My mom had to send hers back and there was a couple sitting next to us that also sent their food back. I'm not sure how anyone could rate this place more than one star. The waitress at the table across from us had told them that "This is authentic as it gets!" I'm not sure what kind of Italian she has eaten in her life but this place is the farthest from authentic. It tasted like they took frozen lasagna from the grocery store and put fresh cheese on it. Very disappointing and a total waste of money.

Outstanding food!! One of the best meals we had on our trip. Our server was Cheryl and she was great. We had a party of 11 and she did a fantastic job. I had the chicken Parmesan which was crispy and cooked perfectly. The marinara sauce was great and the pasta was perfect. Homemade bread to start with pesto sauce was also excellent. My wife gad spaghetti and meatballs and we are used to little Italy type restaurants from Cleveland; she really enjoyed her food. We split a piece of tiramisu for dessert and it was a huge, decadent dessert. Homemade with just the right amount of sweet and cocoa. As good as any we have had in much more expensive restaurants. Everything was perfect during our dinner-thanks for making an out of town family feel like we were at home!!!

I had the Greek burger--feta and kalamata olives. YUM. The quality of meat was great. I had a Cesar salad instead of fries. Basic, but good. Mark had the Corleone burger--pancetta and provolone with fries. Burger was delicious. Decor had old brick walls, but that was the only interesting aspect. The ceiling looks like it was old tin, but I think it was fake. Waitstaff fine. Lunch prices reasonable for the amount of food you get. I would give 3.5 stars if I could.

Just had dinner here tonite with a coworker. Decent selection of wine and many entree options on the menu. I went with the prosciutto wrapped salmon served over fettuccine with an Alfredo pesto sauce. I expected the salmon to be over cooked and the prosciutto to be stringy. However, the salmon was cooked perfectly and the prosciutto was some of the best I have had! My coworker had chicken parmesan which looked good and he confirmed that it was very tasty! Good, knowledgeable waiter and the garlic bread was served with oil, pesto and grated cheese and free! Only reason I did not give a 5 star rating was that the $3 dinner salad was just lettuce, a few cucumber pieces, and red onions - lettuce was "blah" and overall, the salad looked cheap for a place like this. I will definitely be back to Corleone's Trattoria!

Great service, excellent food. Would go back in a heartbeat. Busy place on the Saturday before the upcoming St. Patty's day week and the beginning of Spring Break for many colleges. We just sat at the bar since there were no romantic booths available. That way we could sit beside each other instead of across from one another (which is what we prefer). We had a great time chatting with the bartender and the GM. Love the feel of the place -- kind of how you'd expect a busy Italian mama's house to be. I was looking for a nice Italian restaurant with decent prices and portions and boy this was it. We had to wait about 15 min to be seated. Its a smaller place thats right in downtown. Out waitress was VERY knowledgeable. She had answers to all my questions. The calamari is very good and is a good portion. They make their own meatballs, which are huge and VERY tasty. The pasta isnt made there but was very good. The portion they give you is enough for 2 meals!! The fresh bread w/ the oil dip was also top end. I would easily eat here again.

Once again, Yelp's rating is more accurate than Trip Advisor's rating. The reviews on tripadvisor raved about this place and the reviews on yelp were much more realistic. This place wasn't as good as the reviews on the other site would leave you to believe. Came here to carb load for the Savannah RnR half marathon, like a good runner. It's their busiest day of the year, according to the manager, so they were packed Friday night and not accepting reservations - which was a good call. What is not a good call is changing your entire menu for race weekend. As the person in charge of finding the restaurants for my group, I researched to make sure there was options for everyone. i specially chose this place because of the gluten free and vegetarian options. Then, lo and behold, we sit down and were told their was a special menu for this weekend bc of the crowd and there was no gluten free option. WHAT?!? Disappointment #1. What was on the menu was standard Italian fare. Lots of options looked good but none of the meals that we ordered were anything more than average. We all tried two different sauces - the marinara and the meat and the flavor was really lacking. The sauce had potential with the fresh vine ripe tomatoes, but there was no flavor other than tomato. Did they change the recipe along with the menu? Disappointment #2.

Went for dinner here on a date night on a Tuesday evening. Our waitress was great. Knowledgable about the menu and checked on us often. The food was okay. I ordered shrimp scampi with linguini $23 and my boyfriend ordered shrimp al diablo $24. We had our 50th anniversary dinner at Corleone's and it could not have been better. We walked from our hotel (Hampton Inn) and this restaurant is highly recommended by the hotel staff. The food was excellent and the wait staff could not have been better or friendlier. Make sure to have your date eat the same bc the garlic and breath combo will cancel each other out. lol. We had calamari delicious with light breaking. Yum. Valet parking for convenience and a nice guy helps you to your car. Atmosphere was a little dark but so much better than the overpriced italian we had at lunch down the street. Paccis could take a few lessons from the corleones! Italian fare should be for the Italian style appetites. My son who eats came out full!!

Had lunch here while visiting savannah based on a friend's recommendation. Lunch time prices were very, very affordable. I had a chicken parm panini with a side salad and cup of soup. Total was $10. The meal itself was pretty good. The side salad was a good sized portion, tortellini in the soup were yummy, and the panini was good. Service was average. For a more complete review I think I would have to have dinner here. Enjoyed the atmosphere and menu items during lunch, but until I try their veal I can't say much more than what's written above. We ate at Corleone's on a recent trip to Savannah. I must say that Corleone's is one of the best Italian restaurants I've ever eaten at. The prices are a bit high, but the portions are huge. I had the special, which was sausage & shrimp fettuccine with a spicy Cajun cream sauce. Other people in my party had spaghetti and meat balls, lasagna, and fettuccine Alfredo. Everyone enjoyed their food. The service was fantastic! There were 3 children in my party and they have a children's menu, and even made a children's sized portion of fettuccine Alfredo for my son even though it wasn't on the children's menu. I ordered the house Pinot Grigio which was quite good. The wine menu selection was good. Parking is iffy from what I could see. However, that's an issue anywhere in the historic part of Savannah. They do have Valet parking, though.

The dinner here is satisfactory if you are looking for home style Italian. The menu was totally predictable, with the same five salads, appetizers, pastas, and dozen entrees you see on every pizzeria menu across the country. As far as the south goes, this may be considered quality but NO NEW YORKER or person of Italian background should go here looking to be impressed. I also had a very unpleasant experience with the valet. Where I come from, valet is always offered for free as an incentive for you to eat at an establishment. At Corleones, I was charged 6 dollars for the guy the park my car directly on the street in front of the restaurant, not in a secure location. What's more, when we asked for our car, he simply tossed us the keys. Isn't a valet supposed to bring your car to you? The icing on the cake was when the jerk offered to keep the car there another couple hours so we could sightsee if we lined his pockets a little more. Skip Corleones and go get something on River Street. This is highly, highly overrated.

Disappointed. I ate lunch there today and started with the calamari. The squid used were tiny (smaller than a dime) and served only in rings. Why do alot of places don't include the tentacle sections? This meant that the only thing I tasted was the batter along with marinara sauce. For the main course I just opted for the chicken parmesan pannini. This was not bad, but, not worth raving about. This came with either fries or a salad. I got the caesar salad that was good. The only critique I would add is that the croutons were really hard/crunchy. The service was great. The timing that the food came out was spot on. It was fun looking out the windows watching the tourists walk down the streets. Usually if I don't have a decent food experience, I won't come back. On that note, I probably won't come back, but, if I did, I would try something different. Maybe the mussells and manicotti.

Continuing my Savannah reviews of poor management/wait-staff decisions, at this establishment, we have management who decided to change their menu and limit their offerings on a really busy weekend (Rock n Roll marathon). I know what they would say and what some of you might think - it makes sense to limit the menu on a weekend you know you're going to be busy because it'll help things run more efficiently. Limit it to popular items or your best items and turn and burn. The problem with that philosophy is you forget that there are people like me who look into your establishment before showing up, and quite possibly make a decision about where to go based on your menu, so if you don't advertise on your website that you'll be having a limited menu, and if you don't put up a sign at the restaurant, then you get a party who sits down expecting one thing and finding they can't get it. And because we waited a while and had to be up early the next day for a race, we didn't have the option of leaving. Furthermore, not only did they change some of the food items, but one of the reasons we chose here was because they advertise a gluten free menu, and one of our party has a gluten allergy. I realize that the number of people asking for gluten free is probably still pretty small, but it's still a rapidly growing demand. A year or so ago, you never heard of gluten free, and now restaurants and grocery stores offer multiple items. In any event, your city is about to be flooded for one of the busiest days of the year - that kind of increase in tourism is likely to bring in more people with these special diet needs. And on top of that, many of these additional people are going to want Italian because they want to carb load before their race. Does it make an ounce of sense to drop gluten free options then? Nope, it doesn't. And like I said, you make it worse by not mentioning it on your website or on a sign at your restaurant. So, stupid decision by management, but onto the food. We stayed because we didn't have a choice. There were 8 of us and trying to get dinner somewhere else at this point would have meant not going to bed for hours and we had a race. I ordered a sausage and marinara pasta. I didn't really see what everyone else ordered, but really, we all had the same opinion. Okay. It wasn't great. The sauces were kind of bland - not bad, but not much taste to them. I liked the sausage, which is the only reason they are not getting 2 stars. That and the service was pretty good for such a large party. But really you deserve 2 stars, for mediocre food and being lured to the restaurant only to find out you changed the menu and weren't offering the special dietary items that night. I'm being generous at 3. I realize this is a very specific review for a specific night and weekend, but what can I say, that's when I was there. If you want a more general opinion - service is good, food is mediocre but the sauces are kind of bland, and we sat outside so I couldn't tell you what it was like inside. Outside though, they have heat lamps, which is nice and made it bearable.

Do not go here. I will add details once I've had dinner elsewhere. We literally asked for our check midway through our soup/salad course. Long story short, we sat at the bar, asked the two people on our right and the one person to our left (yes, only five of us in the whole place) what they would recommend and we got kicked out for allegedly being intoxicated. In all of my 45 years on this planet, that has never happened and we were mortified to say the least. We paid for the half-eaten soup / salad (sorry, no tip) and even the host at the door was surprised we were leaving so soon. Seriously, it was a surreal experience, I'm still scratching my head.

Very lovely atmosphere and diverse menu. I personally made some poor choices. I didn't enjoy the sparkling red wine. (I assumed it was white when ordering.) Despite the waiter assuring me the white wine sauce wasn't creamy, it turned out to be your standard creamy Alfredo. The bread was amazing. The waiter was nice enough but didn't go out of his way to accommodate my mistakes. The biggest complaint I have about this place is the price. It was a little much. But the food arrived at the table surprisingly fast considering how very busy they were.

Shame on us for living in Savannah for 18 months and just now trying Corleone's! Most authentic Italian cuisine in town! Excellent food and service. Sitting outside (even on MLK) was a such a treat on a sunny February afternoon. Staff was energetic, responsive, and fun - Tim from Staten Island attending SCAD simply made our night. The Greek additions to the menu were also a bonus - best Spanakopita ever! This is a must do with friends and family - casual, relaxed, great good, great wine, great service, reasonably priced.

I've only been here once but it possibly was the best meal I've ever had. I had the classic dish cannelloni but it was supreme! The restaurant doesn't look like much on the outside, but on the inside it plays the part of an Italian restaurant to a tee. They have a really cool bar up front, and an excellent seating arrangement in the dining area. Our waiter couldn't have been much better and the food, again, was fantastic. It's right behind the City Market area so the location is great. We'll be going back next time we're in Savannah!

I would like to very much thank the staff at Corleone's Trattoria for accommodating our party of 13. We cheated a little and merged two 7 person reservations since Open Table didn't allow a party of 13 at the time we wanted but they were very helpful in making it happen. Family from out of town arriving at different times made it difficult to put together a dinner for everyone at once but this solution was perfect! The food itself honestly just seemed OK for me, but everyone else seemed to like it very much. If you get Spaghetti, be ready for a BIG portion. The soon to be Mother In Law left enough Spaghetti to be an entire portion for another person. I had a burger, but I would direct others to stick with the more traditional Italian fare to be a bit more satisfied. Admittedly this review is weighted more toward the "Customer Service" portion of the visit, so I can't really recommend it on the food alone. But it was certainly a shining example of customer care when I wanted to put together this impromptu gathering. They didn't even add an automatic gratuity to the checks for a party our size!

UPDATE: I have since returned many times to Corleone's, and had a much better experience than my first one. I would recommend it if you are in the mood for Italian. Just go for a LATE lunch or for dinner (see why below). Went here for lunch today. First, the good news: no complaints on the service. We were greeted and seated immediately. Probably because there was only one other table occupied. We ordered and our food was brought out promptly. We had the lunch special of cheese tortellini. It was good, although it was not all that well seasoned. And then the bad: as soon as we received our food, a loud pounding sound began, from the direction of the open kitchen. I mean it was LOUD. I asked the server if the pounding was going to continue, and she said "He's doing the veal." I'm no expert on the restaurant business, but shouldn't that be done prior to opening? You know, when guests aren't in the restaurant?! Just a thought. The pounding continued through our entire meal, and by the time we were done I had a splitting headache.

Very friendly staff. This is a higher priced restaurant with a great atmosphere. We were given tapwater. I had the Dinner Special, which was clams and mussels (in the shell) over linguine with white-wine sauce. It was very good, but at $28 I feel it should have came with a salad or a small plate to start. The dessert was excellent, and my Martini was as well. I felt that adding a 20% gratuity to the bill was a bit pretentious, but I dont know what may have happened in the past to bring that about. All in all, not bad , a full meal for two will cost a little over $100.

Tonight was my first night at Trattoria and I have to say I am super happy with this place. I walked in as a party of 1 lame I know but the hostess sat me right away without a reservation at perfect table by the window. My waitress was a complete professional and took great care of me. Her attentiveness yet not being over pushy is exactly what I call good service. I had a Cesar salad to start and it was delicious; a perfect appetizer. I then had the backed tortellini and it was superb. It came out super hot from the oven but once it cooled down it was delightful. The in house bread went perfect (fresh out of the oven) with my meal. I cannot wait to go back and enjoy this place again. Great service, great food, great atmosphere, not too expensive. Awesome experience.

Please do not go here. Food is not good for the price you pay. Olive Garden is a much better choice. I choose the salmon on linguini with white sauce. Salmon very dry on top of a bowl of basically soup sauce. They try to make up in flavor by drowning in Gordon food service sauce. Avoid and go to an actual fine restaurant. Alright Italian food with outstanding service. My extended family and I decided to have one last meal together while in Savannah, and chose Corleone's as the spot. Even though we were an 8-top, we were quickly seated in a busy restaurant. The atmosphere is relaxing and hip, the food well-seasoned, though not exemplary. *As a side note, my nephew and I were trying to teach my 10-year old how to be a little more confident around the fairer sex. I don't want him dating, of course, but I do want him to feel comfortable talking to women. Seeing an opportunity with our very beautiful waitress, my nephew told her of our efforts. Every time she came by our table, she would go out of her way to chat my son up - to give him an opening: "So, how is everything? Do you need any more milk?" He choked at first, not even able to look her in the eye. Eventually, though, with a lot of kind persistence by the waitress, he started to say, "yeah, it's really good." Granted, you could only hear him if you were on his plate, but it's progress. Thank you, nice young lady!

I had the calimari... probably the best I have EVER had and was only 9.99. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but the inside is very comfy and well laid out. Nice decor and welcoming. But the highlight here is the food. It's hard to do Italian bad, but this place does it great! I travel about half the year on business and have had Italian all across the US, this one is in my top five! They have three choices of sauce with their pasta dishes; marinara, meat sauce or alfredo. I had the stuffed shells with meat sauce and my daughter had lasagna with alfredo (I know, odd, but it was amazing!). We ended up trying each of the sauces because I got a side of the marinara with our garlic mozzarella bread. They were all great. The service was fantastic too. Very nice waitress, we never waited for anything!

We dined there on a busy Saturday night, enjoyed sitting at the bar for a few drinks and dinner. Bartender, Mike, was attentive and kept our glasses full . . . as well as everyone else seated at the full bar and provided a wide variety of interesting looking drinks for the table service staff. While he was very attentive, he just didn't have quite the personality that I prefer from a bartender. But it was probably because he was so busy, as he was the only bartender. There was another guy that would occassionally appear behind the bar to chat with bartender, but he never made an effort to actually help Mike out. He appeared to be a manager, so he should have at least got in there and washed the ever growing pile of dirty glassware. I was disappointed in the Ceasar salad, as it was topped with seasoned croutons straight from a box, and parmesan cheese that tasted much worse than anything you can shake from a Kraft dispenser. I would expect an Italian place to have homemade croutons and decent cheese topping the salads. We did have a great appetizer of cheese bread with a tasty marinara. We enjoyed the mussels, however we had to ask for bread to sop up the delicious broth. Bread was less than delicious, as it appeared to be a frozen loaf that was not cooked all the way. We also shared a pizza burger (delicious, but again the bun was nothing special) and a sausage ziti. Sausage had a weird texture, probably due to being re-heated too many times. Wine prices were reasonable. We will go back again, but I do hope they try to use more authentic ingredients . . . please improve the croutons and leave off the Pepperidge Farm ones!

My husband and I recently took a trip to Savannah and were in the mood for some good Itailan food. After reading some positive reviews on this site, we decided to give it a shot. I have to say, the atmosphere was warm and cozy (which was perfect because it was very cold the day we were there), the food was outstanding and the service was top notch. Don't waste your money on this inauthentic tourist attraction that pretends to be fine dining. From the time we sat down, our waitress insisted on only making eye contact with my husband while ignoring me. I ordered a Caprese salad for $8 that arrived with only a slight amount of thick balsamic reduction drizzled on top, a few slices of tomatoes, and chunks of cheese in between. I immediately asked for more dressing, which I was given, but soon found the mozzarella to be a strange spongey texture that was harder than it should be. Cheap grocery store cheese is fresher/better. The waiter said it was fresh but I sent it back and was given just a cup of tomato soup in exchange (a few dollar price difference). The entree, garlic and butter shrimp, was no better. It was not only overcooked but was swimming in a sauce that should have been so simple but was so salty it was almost unappetizing. The waitress complied with sending back the app but left us waiting for our check for a good 15 min. When I asked her if we could send the check back with her immediately, she rolled her eyes at me. She was rude and unfriendly the entire time. Even if the food was ok, that alone would make us consider not coming back and left a bad taste in my mouth. It was not worth the money at all.

Corleones is really between 3 and 4 stars. We went on a Saturday night and it was packed. We hung out at the bar for about 30 minutes with drinks in our hands. So the wait wasn't a big deal. The hostess was lovely and so was the waitress. They were both very young, very charming and very helpful. The bread was very good, the entrees we had were very good, but not spectacular. The Ceasar Salad was an OK standard Ceasar and it was very over priced for $7.00. The Tiramasu was average. As a given package, our visit was very good. Most of the prices were very reasonable and the food was good. The same for the drinks. This place is hardly mentioned in any guides and appears to be pretty much a local patronized establishment, which I think is great. I definately would recommend the place to friends.

We were seated at a secIuded little table with a view of the street. It was kind of romantic. I was pleased with the food and the service. Lots of garlic in my Scampi. My hub got the salmon and it was TDF! Once I tasted his, I wanted to trade. But alas, that was not going to happen. We had a nice bottle of wine with dinner and dessert was cheesecake, most enjoyable. I know that there are lots of places to eat in Savannah and we did check out some menus on River Street but after visiting Corleone's I feel llike we made a great choice.

She had the manicotti and I ordered the lasagna both meals were prepared perfectly and the taste was truly authentic Italian. And now on to dessert; we shared a creme brulee that was to die for. So all in all a 5 star rating is what this establishment deserves. If you find yourself in Savannah and want a change from the seafood and steak this is the BEST Italian food in the historic district.

So we went here on the bribe of restaurant.com with the $25 gift card for $2. I'm a big food fan and I read the reviews. I didn't expect much coming here but our experience was great from the moment we walked in that door. It was the two of us and our two kids. For an upper casual place, they welcomed the kids from the start. The menu was reasonably priced and the selection was for everybody. The kids shared a spaghetti and meatball, she had lasagna, and I had a corlilloni (however you spell it). Our waitress, Shannon (great btw), even had the kitchen split the spaghetti and meatball for the kids. The portions were good. Not too big but not small by any means. I finished mine off but everyone else could not. The food was perfectly cooked and the beer was great (so was the water). We were going to have tiramisu but we didn't have the space. We rapped things up and decided that we will be back to try other menu items. Our server was top notch and hard to find in Savannah. This is the only good Italian so far that I have experienced in Savannah. Once again, we'll be back.

Service is quick and friendly (if a little over-rehearsed for the specials of the night), and the food is always better than you remembered. Specifically, try the clams or calamari for your appetizer, and (my favorite) is the manicotti. But I've sampled a LOT of food here, and nothing has been sub-par. With a great wine selection, more than filling meals, and located right next door to Lulu's Chocolate Bar (for dessert), you will leave happy, full, and grateful that you listened to me.

Doesn't seem to be a lot of middle ground on the reviews for Corleone's Trattoria. I fall on the positive experience side. Crowded Saturday night and instead of waiting for a table with the throng of folks on the sidewalk, we pull up two bar chairs and decide to have drinks and dinner right there. The solo bartender was working his tail off to keep up and he was doing great. After a couple of Stellas to wash down some Historical District dust, we ordered and were pleasantly surprised at how fast our salads and main course came up. I've never been to Italy so I won't compare my Ziti and sausage w/onion & peppers in a marinara sauce to anything "authentic", but I thought it was great! Hot and tasty, served with garlic bread. When you've had your fill of faux southern fare in Savannah and are ready for a change, try Corleone's it has a decidedly local following and you may hit it good like we did.

Everything was superb! The only thing bad thing I can say is the fettechine alfredo had a little too much flour in it. My one brother loved the tomato basil soup and my mom loved the penne al a vodka. My dad had manicotti and liked it. The potato grauten however was not worth it. And the cheesecake was average. Also, don't ask for extra sauce to take home with you, they won't have it. And the fettechine is not better reheated the next day.

My Bride and I went there tonight. Some of the reviews had me worried, but my concerns were unfounded. The bread was served hot. The Bride had the prosciutto wrapped salmon with the tomato bisque soup and I had the lasagne. Her soup was wonderful and the salmon was very good, although the portion size was HUGE. My lasagne was very good. We skipped the dessert because we didn't need the calories. Will we be back? Certainly!

I was the only person in the restuarant, was seated by the same hostess who came back to my table 15 to 20 minutes later, and she had the audacity to say "Oh! I forgot about you" I ordered the lasagna, it was bland, with no distinguishable Italian flavor at all. I was so dissapointed by the food, I went home and made my own. My homemade lasagna turned out to be very good, being it was my first time. I do not recommend this place at all. I have yet to find a great Italian restuarant in Savannah, besides the well known franchised places.

Went even though we some some negative reviews. They were right except that our server was very attentive. The food was very mediocre and low quality. Great for people that like Italian that is over sauces and covered in cream and butter. We ordered the antipasto app, nothing like a real antipasta plate. Rolls of ham, cheap salami, greek salad no dressing, Brie, cuc and tomatoes. The only good thing was the brusheta on it. Got 2 side salads, one with the meal we shared and an extra. The caesar side was a small side plate with store bought croutons for $4. We ordered the proscutto wrapped salmon with basil Alfredo. Very low quality, do like a little pasta with your cream sauce? Will not go back.

Perfect example of a very American view on Italian food. The pasta is overcooked and there's way too much cheese and oil on everything. Most people fall for these gimmicks, but oh lordy, not me. The owner was walking around in shorts and a polo. He didn't seem to have a clue about life, or food in general. He's probably never been to Italy, only Fazzoli's. But what do you expect from a place that takes its name from the Godfather movies? Rule of thumb: Avoid Italian restaurants with stupid names.

This is a pretty good casual Italian place that I've been to many time whilst at SCAD. It's fun, they have a full bar, and the food is of good quality at good prices. Moreover, most of the waitstaff are not only friendly but somehow very attentive despite the rush and bustle of the place on most weekend nights. It fills up and gets crowded very quickly, just to warn you . . . My only complaint is that the menu could be more extensive for a standard Italian restaurant as they are missing out on some dishes such as more pasta options you'd kind of expect them to have. Perhaps the limited menu allows for constant quality but still, I would like some more options and more innovative specials. Otherwise, what they do here they do a superb job of and Corleone's is a great addition to Savannah's downtown.

Things started off well with a big plate of calamari, hot, crispy with lots of nicely balanced marinara. The bread was excellent with a pesto and parmasean dipping sauce But the house salad was as boring as could be as a forewarning of bad things to come. We were a party of two looking for a bit of comfort food and since pasta fits that bill for us, we ventured in to Corleone's. Arriving without a reservation, we were seated promptly and treated to good service throughout the meal. The Shrimp Scampi was delicious as was the Sea and Garden pasta. Extra points go to the chef for substituting out the alfredo sauce to accommodate a dairy allergy. Accompanying house and ceasar salads fit the bill nicely. Note that pasta portion sizes are huge so don't order an appetizer unless you are really hungry. That being said, the calamari with marinara sauce was as good as we've had anywhere. Next time we visit Savannah we'll be back to Corleone's

Rut-row Scooby. I read the reviews after ordering. From the outside this looks like it's going to be a great dining experience. Once inside I thought this is going to be a restaurant devoted to great Italian food. The menu....falls short of the expectation. There is the belief that seafood will be featured in there somewhere. But it seems to be a passing thought of the chef...(if they have one). There are so many really great Italian fish dishes and hello you are in a coastal town one block from the river. There is Adriatic Fish Stew, Tuna and white bean salad, or Puttanesca sauce on sauteed Cod. The pasta dishes left little to be desired. I got a basic alfredo. It was so bland. Come on if you are going to half ass it close down. The panini was just a shame. While the bread looked liked it had been pressed the inside of the sandwich told a different story. One of cold cheese and little filling. I think the bread came in with the grill marks already on it. If you are going to be this basic then knock the food out of the park. Basic Italian food is easy to cook and make taste great. An alfredo made fresh only takes minutes if you have the ingredients mis en place. Corleone's you need to step it up and get someone who loves Italian food in the kitchen. With the name Corleone's if the Godfather were around today you would have already been whacked!

Ate solo at the bar one night on a quick pass through town. Great bartender. The food was workmanlike Italian American. I had the shrimp appetizer (garlicky as all get-out) and a main course of cannelloni with meat sauce, quite good . Haute cuisine this ain't, but it doesn't pretend to be. In another era this would be 'red checkered table cloth Italian.' Well made, courteously and promptly served, good food at a fair price. I'd go back again in a heartbeat. In a tourist town, I was the only tourist to be seen, which to me was a plus. Clearly the locals know the place and they keep it humming.

I do not know where to begin on our experience at Corleone's. We saw it listed in the best restaurants in Savannah booklet and it caught our attention. We were seated immediately, but sat for 15 minutes without having a server come to the table. It appeared that many of the servers had come in and were having a meeting. Another table was seated in our section and they had a server coming over to get a drink order within a minute. We tried to catch her attention, but failed and went to the service bar and asked for a server. Someone came over and apologized for the confusion, but apparently the person that was suppose to be in our section was abruptly fired, and she didn't know we were there. She took our order right away and told us that she would get our order in right away. She did stop back several times and made sure we had plenty of water, etc, so we didn't feel neglected by her. I ordered the Frutti del Mare, which was shrimp and scallop kabob. The menu said there was a choice of several sides, and I requested the spinach pie. She asked what my other side was, and I was surprised that it came with two, because it didn't read that way on the menu. She told me i could have two spinach pies, but I told her that I would like cous cous as my second side. When our order came out, I had two spinach pies. We brought this to her attention and she told me the cous cous would be out in two minutes. In actuality, the cous cous did not come out until we were done eating. While were sitting at our table, we did notice that a couple that came in after us had been seated near us, and they had a similar delay in being served. As we were nearly finished with our meal, a server brought out two salads for us. We were confused primarily because we had already had our salad course. We told him that we thought it was for the couple at the table near us, and indeed it was. Our server came back and apologized all over again for everything. She wanted to know what she could do to make it up to us and we told her that there wasn't much that could be done. She gave us the check and we gave her two separate credit cards to split our order. She boasted, "This I can do." Unfortunately, she couldn't. She had mixed up our cards. It was easy enough to give my pal a five-dollar bill. We had enough go wrong with the service already. For the food. It was actually quite good. We were very pleased with the meal. Because of the bad service, I was tempted to give the restaurant only two stars, but it was the fact that one of the managers came over to check with us about our experience. He indicated that he knew there were some issues, some of it training and some of it communication. He offered us dessert, but we were on our way back to Atlanta after the meal, so we politely declined. It is my hope that he is able to address the situation and prevent others from having a similar experience. A note for our server, if she happens to see this. We do appreciate your empathy and attention and hope that things are going well now.

There is a first time for everything. I have never been to an Italian restaurant that bills itself as a fine dining establishment that serves on plastic dishes. Other than that the food was OK but not great. Seems to be aimed at the tourists.

No stars !!! First one ever!! This place takes the cake!!!! At first apearance looks like a quaint littlr neighborhood italian joint. Servers and hostes very friendly. We chose to sit st the bar. Ordered a few drinks and an appitizer .. We noticed the lasagna dishes and several others looked like pre made and then just tossed into the oven since we were right by the kitchen. Then the roaches started to come out of the wood work!!! Literally!!!! When we told our server he wasn't phased at all and said the exterminator was here last week guess he didn't do a good job! no s#4t!! We left immediatly and called the health department. STAY AWAY

As a Jersey girl ( the Soprano state) I know Italian . This is as close as you will get to East Coast Italian food . The name is cute and a great play on the movie. Couldn't have been more pleased. Probably the best calamari I have ever had so tender and breading cooked to perfection. Not my favorite bruschetta Lasagna, spaghetti with meatballs and cannelloni were are great. Couldn't of asked for better service all the waitstaff was very attentive Hostesses were also very pleasant and quick to respond So stuffed we had to take the crème brûlée to go. Looked like they have plenty of wine options for all courses. If you enjoy Italian food I would definitely stop in. We did not have reservations but were early enough we were able to get in so I would definitely call ahead to avoid disappointment.

Not made to feel alone when I was. Wow....is the best way to start. This party of (1) one was treated like a party of many. I ask if I could be seated by a window and there I was in a great spot to people and street watch while I dined. Friendly upbeat hostess with a smile delivered that made you feel like family. I have a true love for the cannelloni at Rosa's in Pismo Beach so to find it on this menu made my taste buds impatient. I could not imagine finding this dish to be equal to what I have every time I visit the west coast. Well now I will have this dish every time I visit the east coast too. I found my choice to be very tasty, even though a bit of a different style than the one on the west coast. Plenty of Cheese and wonderful marinara sauce. Just the right amount of tangy, and the pasta tasted as though they had just hand rolled it. The menu offered a number of great choices but was not overwhelming. Bread and dipping oil was par and the salad was plentiful of greens and add ins. Not just lettuce. The other dinners coming out looked as appealing as mine did, and people around seemed happy and no one complaining. That's always a good sign. My waiter was equally as pleasing. He was fairly new to the area but was knowledgeable and paid just the right amount of attention. When I ask if they offered FERNET ...he had to ask, and I was happy when they did. I first had this Italian Liquor when with my Son and Daughter-in-law and I'm a fan. A big one, so this was the perfect way to end my dining experience at Corleone's. You won't go wrong with this place. Service, Food, and Price are all right in line with the area. The true Italian atmosphere and great food and smells makes this place a must for Italian food lovers. I will go back on my next visit to Savannah.

We went to Corleone's last night for dinner and it was perfect. The garlic bread to start to meal was amazing with the best dipping sauce I've ever tasted! For being an up-scale restaurant, the prices were great! Our family of 6 walked out of there with a bill under $75, The food was cooked perfectly and the portions were large - we all walked out with doggie bags. Definitely would recommend!

We ate here twice on a quick trip to Virginia; once on the way up, and once on the way back. It is one of the best Italian places I have ever been to. Corleone's is located in downtown, but it's over closer to the visitor center, rather than near the river walk area. Any of the Trolleys go right in front of it - be sure to get off there and have a great meal. The service both times was exemplary (different servers, both wonderful). The food is amazing. The place is clean and friendly. It was such a great dining experience. The first night, I had baked ziti. I wanted it altered a little; instead of red sauce, I wanted pink. And, I wanted some peas in it. They accommodated that special request perfectly. My friend had the eggplant parmesan both times, and it was out of this world delicious. The second night, I had the fettuccine alfredo - sooooooo good (what's not to love about butter, parmesan and cream?!)! But, the very, very BEST part of this meal is the amazing bread. It is warm and delicious and wonderful. It comes with a vat of olive oil dipping stuff that is so flavorful - you WILL be asking for seconds! There is plenty of street parking all around this place; in some spots, it's meters, sometimes it's free for 2 hours. We didn't have trouble parking, but it was a weeknight both times. I reserve 5 stars for restaurants that are vegan or vegetarian, otherwise this would have been a 5! Skip the touristy places, you can't go wrong eating here.

This is my first time coming to Savannah, me and my friend were super hungry so we decided to Yelp restaurants and on the reviews we came to this restaurant. We ordered bruchesta for app it looked good but it wasn't that good, the bread is too hard and crust. For main course I ordered penne a la vodka took off the pork and asked for mushrooms instead, unfortunately the mushrooms were not fresh at all "canned" which makes the pasta tastes bad. On the other hand, my friend ordered lasagne and the meat was canned as well. In my point of view, Italian restaurants should always cook with fresh ingredients in order to have good food quality.

We were not disappointed. Portions are huge even for an Italian restaurant and prices are reasonable considering you are in Savannah. I ordered the vodka penne which was loaded with pancetta and pass to compliment the meal. My husband ordered spaghetti and meatballs. He said the sauce was great, but the meatballs was just a little salty. Management was going to take note for tomorrow. Bread was hearty baguettes with garlic baked in. Nice pesto oil for dipping.. Wonderful! My husband and I were celebrating our honeymoon in Savannah, GA and were craving Italian food. After reading the yelp reviews on this restaurant we decided to give it a try and boy were we glad we did! It was excellent. No wait for a table even at 8pm on a Friday night was a plus. The bread with olive oil and parmesan for dipping was good. The minestrone soup was very think and hearty which was nice although I didn't see any pasta in it which I thought was a staple in all minestrone soups. I got the lasagna which was just perfection - order it with meat sauce and you won't be sorry. Very generous with the cheese just how I like it. My husband got the three cheese tortellini and added chicken with Alfredo sauce - he said it was superb. Dessert was key lime pie, creme brûlée and a delicious latte. If we are ever in town again we would definitely eat here again.

3.5 stars is just about right. Corleone's is a decent enough Italian eatery just off the main drag in downtown Savannah. Easy enough to walk to, Corleone's should be on your list of walkable Italian restaurants downtown. As you walk in the host stand is in the bar area, and like the rest of the restaurant is dimly lit (almost too much so). My first impression of the place is that it seems a little dingy. You'll see the kitchen on the left and the main dining room on the right as you are greeted, and the bar on the night of this review had more servers than patrons sitting, watching the college football game while wrapping silverware in paper napkins. Service is actually decent - attentive, but not overly so. On our recent visit we started with a bottle of wine, the Primitivo. Not available. So we choose the Ducale, which at $42 is a nice choice - just not the one we wanted. Bread is good enough served with an olive oil and cheese dip. Add some pepper and you could make a meal of the cibo! The highlight of our meal was the spicy, rich Pasta Fagiole soup, a special this evening. If it's on the menu, order it. You won't be disappointed! Entrees are all solid representations of your favorite Italian/American dishes. None are spectacular, and none are lousy either. Though not on the menu ask for a side dish of hot Italian sausage. It's way better than the regular sausage on the menu. All in all, Corleone's is much better than your typical Olive Garden, is less ritzy than Garibaldi's, but is not as tasty as nearby Bella's. If you're downtown and can't get out to Bella's and don't want the Garibaldi's scene, Corleone's is a great walk-to choice.

Decided to try Corleone's after reading a bunch of reviews... aside from the attentive service this restaurant was a major disappointment. Chicken Parm--just nothing of note to say about it. Pasta was slightly overdone and over-sauced too. Portions were generous, but who wants a huge portion of a dish you're not crazy about?? The rest of the group seemed to feel the same way. A ton of "ok" food.

OK, that was easy but it was not bad, in fact the service and food are fine and the setting is nice. But nothing is really memorable here, it's rather average. We stumbled on the place while making a walking tour around Savannah which is a quite nice city. We were on our way back from the riverfront where we did hope to find something to eat but it seems that those are more drinking places than easting ones... anyway, we saw this restaurant and it did look like one of the good and affordable spot in this area. It serves it's purpose and we were happy with the experience in general but we will not remember it for as long as we recall the movie... and BTW, I was a little surprised that they could use that name and image as I did not notice any license rights for that... maybe there is.

Was in Savannah with my family and my daughter spotted a Chicago Blackhawks flag outside a restaurant. We decided to check it out - with my daughters sporting 'Hawks shirts (night of game 4 of Stanley Cup!). The owner is extremely nice guy who is dedicated to seeing that everyone enjoys their meal - which was delicious. I recommend the lasagna with meat sauce. My younger daughter loved the spaghetti and meatballs (for two days, portions are large!). Tortellini and a pizza burger were the other entrees and both were very good as well. Wait staff and atmosphere were very welcoming. Tip: if you're a Blackhawks fan, let it show!

I feel sorry for those that recommend this place. It is a joke! Our waiter was not very knowledgeable of what was on the menu and what each dish contained. I ordered the lasagna, trying to play it safe, but it was very bland and was not a big portion for the money ($14). My mom had to send hers back and there was a couple sitting next to us that also sent their food back. I'm not sure how anyone could rate this place more than one star. The waitress at the table across from us had told them that "This is authentic as it gets!" I'm not sure what kind of Italian she has eaten in her life but this place is the farthest from authentic. It tasted like they took frozen lasagna from the grocery store and put fresh cheese on it. Very disappointing and a total waste of money.

Outstanding food!! One of the best meals we had on our trip. Our server was Cheryl and she was great. We had a party of 11 and she did a fantastic job. I had the chicken Parmesan which was crispy and cooked perfectly. The marinara sauce was great and the pasta was perfect. Homemade bread to start with pesto sauce was also excellent. My wife gad spaghetti and meatballs and we are used to little Italy type restaurants from Cleveland; she really enjoyed her food. We split a piece of tiramisu for dessert and it was a huge, decadent dessert. Homemade with just the right amount of sweet and cocoa. As good as any we have had in much more expensive restaurants. Everything was perfect during our dinner-thanks for making an out of town family feel like we were at home!!!

Mark had the Corleone burger--pancetta and provolone with fries. Burger was delicious. Decor had old brick walls, but that was the only interesting aspect. The ceiling looks like it was old tin, but I think it was fake. Waitstaff fine. Lunch prices reasonable for the amount of food you get. I would give 3.5 stars if I could.

Just had dinner here tonite with a coworker. Decent selection of wine and many entree options on the menu. I went with the prosciutto wrapped salmon served over fettuccine with an Alfredo pesto sauce. I expected the salmon to be over cooked and the prosciutto to be stringy. However, the salmon was cooked perfectly and the prosciutto was some of the best I have had! My coworker had chicken parmesan which looked good and he confirmed that it was very tasty! Good, knowledgeable waiter and the garlic bread was served with oil, pesto and grated cheese and free! Only reason I did not give a 5 star rating was that the $3 dinner salad was just lettuce, a few cucumber pieces, and red onions - lettuce was "blah" and overall, the salad looked cheap for a place like this. I will definitely be back to Corleone's Trattoria!

Great service, excellent food. Would go back in a heartbeat. Busy place on the Saturday before the upcoming St. Patty's day week and the beginning of Spring Break for many colleges. We just sat at the bar since there were no romantic booths available. That way we could sit beside each other instead of across from one another (which is what we prefer). We had a great time chatting with the bartender and the GM. Love the feel of the place -- kind of how you'd expect a busy Italian mama's house to be. Warm, lots of great smells coming from the kitchen, and lots of wine and photos all around. Molto bene!

I was looking for a nice Italian restaurant with decent prices and portions and boy this was it. We had to wait about 15 min to be seated. Its a smaller place thats right in downtown. Out waitress was VERY knowledgeable. She had answers to all my questions. The calamari is very good and is a good portion. They make their own meatballs, which are huge and VERY tasty. The pasta isnt made there but was very good. The portion they give you is enough for 2 meals!! The fresh bread w/ the oil dip was also top end. I would easily eat here again.

Once again, Yelp's rating is more accurate than Trip Advisor's rating. The reviews on tripadvisor raved about this place and the reviews on yelp were much more realistic. This place wasn't as good as the reviews on the other site would leave you to believe. Came here to carb load for the Savannah RnR half marathon, like a good runner. It's their busiest day of the year, according to the manager, so they were packed Friday night and not accepting reservations - which was a good call. What is not a good call is changing your entire menu for race weekend. As the person in charge of finding the restaurants for my group, I researched to make sure there was options for everyone. i specially chose this place because of the gluten free and vegetarian options. Then, lo and behold, we sit down and were told their was a special menu for this weekend bc of the crowd and there was no gluten free option. WHAT?!? Disappointment #1. What was on the menu was standard Italian fare. Lots of options looked good but none of the meals that we ordered were anything more than average. We all tried two different sauces - the marinara and the meat and the flavor was really lacking. The sauce had potential with the fresh vine ripe tomatoes, but there was no flavor other than tomato. Did they change the recipe along with the menu? Disappointment #2.

Went for dinner here on a date night on a Tuesday evening. Our waitress was great. Knowledgable about the menu and checked on us often. The food was okay. I ordered shrimp scampi with linguini $23 and my boyfriend ordered shrimp al diablo $24. Honestly the food was a little under seasoned, my entire pasta dish tasted like lemon and the shrimp were slightly over cooked. We also ordered an appetizer; the garlic mozzarella bread and it was very good. Hot and cheesy but the marina sauce tasted canned. Overall our experience was fine but nothing special. We had our 50th anniversary dinner at Corleone's and it could not have been better. We walked from our hotel (Hampton Inn) and this restaurant is highly recommended by the hotel staff. The food was excellent and the wait staff could not have been better or friendlier. Wow! Come in hungry! The bread they serve before your meal with the pesto dip!!! Omg so delicious. Make sure to have your date eat the same bc the garlic and breath combo will cancel each other out. lol. We had calamari delicious with light breaking. Yum. The garlic mozzarella breadsticks tool with ooooie gooey Mozzarella yum!! We dipped that into the pesto too. Whoa! yUM. We had baked ziti in the near marinara and that was a healthy size portion. The filling was Devine but the shell needed a little work. But who cares the waitress was as sweet as she could be. Definitely a five star experience. Valet parking for convenience and a nice guy helps you to your car. Atmosphere was a little dark but so much better than the overpriced italian we had at lunch down the street. Paccis could take a few lessons from the corleones! Italian fare should be for the Italian style appetites. My son who eats came out full!!

Had lunch here while visiting savannah based on a friend's recommendation. Lunch time prices were very, very affordable. I had a chicken parm panini with a side salad and cup of soup. Total was $10. The meal itself was pretty good. The side salad was a good sized portion, tortellini in the soup were yummy, and the panini was good. Service was average. For a more complete review I think I would have to have dinner here. Enjoyed the atmosphere and menu items during lunch, but until I try their veal I can't say much more than what's written above. Overall, worth a try.

I had the special, which was sausage & shrimp fettuccine with a spicy Cajun cream sauce. Other people in my party had spaghetti and meat balls, lasagna, and fettuccine Alfredo. Everyone enjoyed their food. The service was fantastic! There were 3 children in my party and they have a children's menu, and even made a children's sized portion of fettuccine Alfredo for my son even though it wasn't on the children's menu. I ordered the house Pinot Grigio which was quite good. The wine menu selection was good. Parking is iffy from what I could see. However, that's an issue anywhere in the historic part of Savannah. They do have Valet parking, though.

The dinner here is satisfactory if you are looking for home style Italian. The menu was totally predictable, with the same five salads, appetizers, pastas, and dozen entrees you see on every pizzeria menu across the country. As far as the south goes, this may be considered quality but NO NEW YORKER or person of Italian background should go here looking to be impressed. I also had a very unpleasant experience with the valet. Where I come from, valet is always offered for free as an incentive for you to eat at an establishment. At Corleones, I was charged 6 dollars for the guy the park my car directly on the street in front of the restaurant, not in a secure location. What's more, when we asked for our car, he simply tossed us the keys. Isn't a valet supposed to bring your car to you? The icing on the cake was when the jerk offered to keep the car there another couple hours so we could sightsee if we lined his pockets a little more. Skip Corleones and go get something on River Street. This is highly, highly overrated.

Disappointed. I ate lunch there today and started with the calamari. The squid used were tiny (smaller than a dime) and served only in rings. Why do alot of places don't include the tentacle sections? This meant that the only thing I tasted was the batter along with marinara sauce. For the main course I just opted for the chicken parmesan pannini. This was not bad, but, not worth raving about. This came with either fries or a salad. I got the caesar salad that was good. The only critique I would add is that the croutons were really hard/crunchy. The service was great. The timing that the food came out was spot on. It was fun looking out the windows watching the tourists walk down the streets. Usually if I don't have a decent food experience, I won't come back. On that note, I probably won't come back, but, if I did, I would try something different. Maybe the mussells and manicotti.

I went here for lunch today and Corleone's is participating in Savannah's restaurant week until February 2nd. Appetizer, entree, and dessert for $15! I figured with the restaurant week and being lunch they would be serving smaller portions, but both the Caesar salad and chicken fettuccine Alfredo were very generous. I had plenty to take home. I would highly recommend checking it out! Restaurant week or not.

The food here is good but it's a little overpriced for pasta dishes! Also, if you have anyone who is gluten free they do have GF pasta but be prepared to pay a $4 up charge! Also, do not order dessert! We got a cannoli and tiramisu and both were just gross! And if you get the special don't share or you may still be hungry when you leave!

Came in to grab some dessert, ordered two cannoli's. The server was very polite and punctual. The restaurant was clean and had a nice decor. However, the cannoli's were solid as a rock. They had great flavor but the consistency of a jawbreaker. The price was outrageous though. $30 for two cannoli's, a water, and a sweet tea. Three stars for the service and the restaurant as a whole.

Continuing my Savannah reviews of poor management/wait-staff decisions, at this establishment, we have management who decided to change their menu and limit their offerings on a really busy weekend (Rock n Roll marathon). I know what they would say and what some of you might think - it makes sense to limit the menu on a weekend you know you're going to be busy because it'll help things run more efficiently. Limit it to popular items or your best items and turn and burn. The problem with that philosophy is you forget that there are people like me who look into your establishment before showing up, and quite possibly make a decision about where to go based on your menu, so if you don't advertise on your website that you'll be having a limited menu, and if you don't put up a sign at the restaurant, then you get a party who sits down expecting one thing and finding they can't get it. And because we waited a while and had to be up early the next day for a race, we didn't have the option of leaving. Furthermore, not only did they change some of the food items, but one of the reasons we chose here was because they advertise a gluten free menu, and one of our party has a gluten allergy. I realize that the number of people asking for gluten free is probably still pretty small, but it's still a rapidly growing demand. A year or so ago, you never heard of gluten free, and now restaurants and grocery stores offer multiple items. In any event, your city is about to be flooded for one of the busiest days of the year - that kind of increase in tourism is likely to bring in more people with these special diet needs. And on top of that, many of these additional people are going to want Italian because they want to carb load before their race. Does it make an ounce of sense to drop gluten free options then? Nope, it doesn't. And like I said, you make it worse by not mentioning it on your website or on a sign at your restaurant. So, stupid decision by management, but onto the food. We stayed because we didn't have a choice. There were 8 of us and trying to get dinner somewhere else at this point would have meant not going to bed for hours and we had a race. I ordered a sausage and marinara pasta. I didn't really see what everyone else ordered, but really, we all had the same opinion. Okay. It wasn't great. The sauces were kind of bland - not bad, but not much taste to them. I liked the sausage, which is the only reason they are not getting 2 stars. That and the service was pretty good for such a large party. But really you deserve 2 stars, for mediocre food and being lured to the restaurant only to find out you changed the menu and weren't offering the special dietary items that night. I'm being generous at 3. I realize this is a very specific review for a specific night and weekend, but what can I say, that's when I was there. If you want a more general opinion - service is good, food is mediocre but the sauces are kind of bland, and we sat outside so I couldn't tell you what it was like inside. Outside though, they have heat lamps, which is nice and made it bearable.

Do not go here. I will add details once I've had dinner elsewhere. We literally asked for our check midway through our soup/salad course. Long story short, we sat at the bar, asked the two people on our right and the one person to our left (yes, only five of us in the whole place) what they would recommend and we got kicked out for allegedly being intoxicated. In all of my 45 years on this planet, that has never happened and we were mortified to say the least. We paid for the half-eaten soup / salad (sorry, no tip) and even the host at the door was surprised we were leaving so soon. Seriously, it was a surreal experience, I'm still scratching my head.

Very lovely atmosphere and diverse menu. I personally made some poor choices. I didn't enjoy the sparkling red wine. (I assumed it was white when ordering.) Despite the waiter assuring me the white wine sauce wasn't creamy, it turned out to be your standard creamy Alfredo. The bread was amazing. The waiter was nice enough but didn't go out of his way to accommodate my mistakes. The biggest complaint I have about this place is the price. It was a little much. But the food arrived at the table surprisingly fast considering how very busy they were.

Shame on us for living in Savannah for 18 months and just now trying Corleone's! Most authentic Italian cuisine in town! Excellent food and service. Sitting outside (even on MLK) was a such a treat on a sunny February afternoon. Staff was energetic, responsive, and fun - Tim from Staten Island attending SCAD simply made our night. The Greek additions to the menu were also a bonus - best Spanakopita ever! This is a must do with friends and family - casual, relaxed, great good, great wine, great service, reasonably priced.

I've only been here once but it possibly was the best meal I've ever had. I had the classic dish cannelloni but it was supreme! The restaurant doesn't look like much on the outside, but on the inside it plays the part of an Italian restaurant to a tee. They have a really cool bar up front, and an excellent seating arrangement in the dining area. Our waiter couldn't have been much better and the food, again, was fantastic. It's right behind the City Market area so the location is great. We'll be going back next time we're in Savannah!

Stopped here last night and had a wonderful meal. The PEI mussels were the best I have ever had. The bread was flavorful. I enjoyed the Penne ala Vodka and my wife enjoyed the Diablo Shrimp for the meal. It was a lot to eat. We took at least half of each entree home. We should have split an entree. The tiramisu was excellent. Very fresh and light. This will be another place for us to go on trips to Savannah.

I would like to very much thank the staff at Corleone's Trattoria for accommodating our party of 13. We cheated a little and merged two 7 person reservations since Open Table didn't allow a party of 13 at the time we wanted but they were very helpful in making it happen. Family from out of town arriving at different times made it difficult to put together a dinner for everyone at once but this solution was perfect! The food itself honestly just seemed OK for me, but everyone else seemed to like it very much. If you get Spaghetti, be ready for a BIG portion. The soon to be Mother In Law left enough Spaghetti to be an entire portion for another person. I had a burger, but I would direct others to stick with the more traditional Italian fare to be a bit more satisfied. Admittedly this review is weighted more toward the "Customer Service" portion of the visit, so I can't really recommend it on the food alone. But it was certainly a shining example of customer care when I wanted to put together this impromptu gathering. They didn't even add an automatic gratuity to the checks for a party our size!

UPDATE: I have since returned many times to Corleone's, and had a much better experience than my first one. I would recommend it if you are in the mood for Italian. Just go for a LATE lunch or for dinner (see why below). Went here for lunch today. First, the good news: no complaints on the service. We were greeted and seated immediately. Probably because there was only one other table occupied. We ordered and our food was brought out promptly. We had the lunch special of cheese tortellini. It was good, although it was not all that well seasoned. And then the bad: as soon as we received our food, a loud pounding sound began, from the direction of the open kitchen. I mean it was LOUD. I asked the server if the pounding was going to continue, and she said "He's doing the veal." I'm no expert on the restaurant business, but shouldn't that be done prior to opening? You know, when guests aren't in the restaurant?! Just a thought. The pounding continued through our entire meal, and by the time we were done I had a splitting headache.

Very friendly staff. This is a higher priced restaurant with a great atmosphere. We were given tapwater. I had the Dinner Special, which was clams and mussels (in the shell) over linguine with white-wine sauce. It was very good, but at $28 I feel it should have came with a salad or a small plate to start. The dessert was excellent, and my Martini was as well. I felt that adding a 20% gratuity to the bill was a bit pretentious, but I dont know what may have happened in the past to bring that about. All in all, not bad , a full meal for two will cost a little over $100.

Tonight was my first night at Trattoria and I have to say I am super happy with this place. I walked in as a party of 1 lame I know but the hostess sat me right away without a reservation at perfect table by the window. My waitress was a complete professional and took great care of me. Her attentiveness yet not being over pushy is exactly what I call good service. I had a Cesar salad to start and it was delicious; a perfect appetizer. I then had the backed tortellini and it was superb. It came out super hot from the oven but once it cooled down it was delightful. The in house bread went perfect (fresh out of the oven) with my meal. I cannot wait to go back and enjoy this place again. Great service, great food, great atmosphere, not too expensive. Awesome experience.

Please do not go here. Food is not good for the price you pay. Olive Garden is a much better choice. I choose the salmon on linguini with white sauce. Salmon very dry on top of a bowl of basically soup sauce. They try to make up in flavor by drowning in Gordon food service sauce. Avoid and go to an actual fine restaurant. I will say that I was with a group of 20 and the service was better than most.

Alright Italian food with outstanding service. My extended family and I decided to have one last meal together while in Savannah, and chose Corleone's as the spot. Even though we were an 8-top, we were quickly seated in a busy restaurant. The atmosphere is relaxing and hip, the food well-seasoned, though not exemplary. *As a side note, my nephew and I were trying to teach my 10-year old how to be a little more confident around the fairer sex. I don't want him dating, of course, but I do want him to feel comfortable talking to women. Seeing an opportunity with our very beautiful waitress, my nephew told her of our efforts. Every time she came by our table, she would go out of her way to chat my son up - to give him an opening: "So, how is everything? Do you need any more milk?" He choked at first, not even able to look her in the eye. Eventually, though, with a lot of kind persistence by the waitress, he started to say, "yeah, it's really good." Granted, you could only hear him if you were on his plate, but it's progress. Thank you, nice young lady!

I had the calimari... probably the best I have EVER had and was only 9.99. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but the inside is very comfy and well laid out. Nice decor and welcoming. But the highlight here is the food. It's hard to do Italian bad, but this place does it great! I travel about half the year on business and have had Italian all across the US, this one is in my top five! They have three choices of sauce with their pasta dishes; marinara, meat sauce or alfredo. I had the stuffed shells with meat sauce and my daughter had lasagna with alfredo (I know, odd, but it was amazing!). We ended up trying each of the sauces because I got a side of the marinara with our garlic mozzarella bread. They were all great. The service was fantastic too. Very nice waitress, we never waited for anything!

We dined there on a busy Saturday night, enjoyed sitting at the bar for a few drinks and dinner. Bartender, Mike, was attentive and kept our glasses full . . . as well as everyone else seated at the full bar and provided a wide variety of interesting looking drinks for the table service staff. While he was very attentive, he just didn't have quite the personality that I prefer from a bartender. But it was probably because he was so busy, as he was the only bartender. There was another guy that would occassionally appear behind the bar to chat with bartender, but he never made an effort to actually help Mike out. He appeared to be a manager, so he should have at least got in there and washed the ever growing pile of dirty glassware. I was disappointed in the Ceasar salad, as it was topped with seasoned croutons straight from a box, and parmesan cheese that tasted much worse than anything you can shake from a Kraft dispenser. I would expect an Italian place to have homemade croutons and decent cheese topping the salads. We did have a great appetizer of cheese bread with a tasty marinara. We enjoyed the mussels, however we had to ask for bread to sop up the delicious broth. Bread was less than delicious, as it appeared to be a frozen loaf that was not cooked all the way. We also shared a pizza burger (delicious, but again the bun was nothing special) and a sausage ziti. Sausage had a weird texture, probably due to being re-heated too many times. Wine prices were reasonable. We will go back again, but I do hope they try to use more authentic ingredients . . . please improve the croutons and leave off the Pepperidge Farm ones!

Look Erik, cook good food and the reviews will be positive. If you spent more time cooking, purchasing quality product and overall time management (I.e. My husband and I recently took a trip to Savannah and were in the mood for some good Itailan food. After reading some positive reviews on this site, we decided to give it a shot. I have to say, the atmosphere was warm and cozy (which was perfect because it was very cold the day we were there), the food was outstanding and the service was top notch. I had the chicken parmesean with fettucini alfredo and the portion was HUGE! It was entirely too good to throw out, so I took my leftovers back home with me to Jacksonville! If you're in the area, I would highly recommend this place!

Don't waste your money on this inauthentic tourist attraction that pretends to be fine dining. From the time we sat down, our waitress insisted on only making eye contact with my husband while ignoring me. I ordered a Caprese salad for $8 that arrived with only a slight amount of thick balsamic reduction drizzled on top, a few slices of tomatoes, and chunks of cheese in between. I immediately asked for more dressing, which I was given, but soon found the mozzarella to be a strange spongey texture that was harder than it should be. Cheap grocery store cheese is fresher/better. The waiter said it was fresh but I sent it back and was given just a cup of tomato soup in exchange (a few dollar price difference). The entree, garlic and butter shrimp, was no better. It was not only overcooked but was swimming in a sauce that should have been so simple but was so salty it was almost unappetizing. The waitress complied with sending back the app but left us waiting for our check for a good 15 min. When I asked her if we could send the check back with her immediately, she rolled her eyes at me. She was rude and unfriendly the entire time. Even if the food was ok, that alone would make us consider not coming back and left a bad taste in my mouth. It was not worth the money at all.

Corleones is really between 3 and 4 stars. We went on a Saturday night and it was packed. We hung out at the bar for about 30 minutes with drinks in our hands. So the wait wasn't a big deal. The hostess was lovely and so was the waitress. They were both very young, very charming and very helpful. The bread was very good, the entrees we had were very good, but not spectacular. The Ceasar Salad was an OK standard Ceasar and it was very over priced for $7.00. The Tiramasu was average. As a given package, our visit was very good. Most of the prices were very reasonable and the food was good. The same for the drinks. This place is hardly mentioned in any guides and appears to be pretty much a local patronized establishment, which I think is great. I definately would recommend the place to friends.

A friend at work recommended this spot and since it was close to our hotel and the weather was quickly turning on us, we decided to give it a try. We were seated at a secIuded little table with a view of the street. It was kind of romantic. I was pleased with the food and the service. Lots of garlic in my Scampi. My hub got the salmon and it was TDF! Once I tasted his, I wanted to trade. But alas, that was not going to happen. We had a nice bottle of wine with dinner and dessert was cheesecake, most enjoyable. I know that there are lots of places to eat in Savannah and we did check out some menus on River Street but after visiting Corleone's I feel llike we made a great choice.

Great food, wine, service and music. Had the tomato soup and garlic cheese bread as a starter both are highly recommended. Food was fairly priced and service was fast. She had the manicotti and I ordered the lasagna both meals were prepared perfectly and the taste was truly authentic Italian. And now on to dessert; we shared a creme brulee that was to die for. So all in all a 5 star rating is what this establishment deserves. If you find yourself in Savannah and want a change from the seafood and steak this is the BEST Italian food in the historic district.

So we went here on the bribe of restaurant.com with the $25 gift card for $2. I'm a big food fan and I read the reviews. I didn't expect much coming here but our experience was great from the moment we walked in that door. It was the two of us and our two kids. For an upper casual place, they welcomed the kids from the start. The menu was reasonably priced and the selection was for everybody. The kids shared a spaghetti and meatball, she had lasagna, and I had a corlilloni (however you spell it). Our waitress, Shannon (great btw), even had the kitchen split the spaghetti and meatball for the kids. The portions were good. Not too big but not small by any means. I finished mine off but everyone else could not. The food was perfectly cooked and the beer was great (so was the water). We were going to have tiramisu but we didn't have the space. We rapped things up and decided that we will be back to try other menu items. Our server was top notch and hard to find in Savannah. This is the only good Italian so far that I have experienced in Savannah. Once again, we'll be back.

In the mood for Italian? This is the stop you want to make. Service is quick and friendly (if a little over-rehearsed for the specials of the night), and the food is always better than you remembered. Specifically, try the clams or calamari for your appetizer, and (my favorite) is the manicotti. But I've sampled a LOT of food here, and nothing has been sub-par. With a great wine selection, more than filling meals, and located right next door to Lulu's Chocolate Bar (for dessert), you will leave happy, full, and grateful that you listened to me.

Doesn't seem to be a lot of middle ground on the reviews for Corleone's Trattoria. I fall on the positive experience side. Crowded Saturday night and instead of waiting for a table with the throng of folks on the sidewalk, we pull up two bar chairs and decide to have drinks and dinner right there. The solo bartender was working his tail off to keep up and he was doing great. After a couple of Stellas to wash down some Historical District dust, we ordered and were pleasantly surprised at how fast our salads and main course came up. I've never been to Italy so I won't compare my Ziti and sausage w/onion & peppers in a marinara sauce to anything "authentic", but I thought it was great! Hot and tasty, served with garlic bread. When you've had your fill of faux southern fare in Savannah and are ready for a change, try Corleone's it has a decidedly local following and you may hit it good like we did.

Everything was superb! The only thing bad thing I can say is the fettechine alfredo had a little too much flour in it. My one brother loved the tomato basil soup and my mom loved the penne al a vodka. My dad had manicotti and liked it. The potato grauten however was not worth it. And the cheesecake was average. Also, don't ask for extra sauce to take home with you, they won't have it. And the fettechine is not better reheated the next day.

My Bride and I went there tonight. Some of the reviews had me worried, but my concerns were unfounded. The bread was served hot. The Bride had the prosciutto wrapped salmon with the tomato bisque soup and I had the lasagne. Her soup was wonderful and the salmon was very good, although the portion size was HUGE. My lasagne was very good. We skipped the dessert because we didn't need the calories. Will we be back? Certainly!

Ok, here it goes.. I love Italian food, but this place really messes up the enjoyment I've had for great Italian food. I was the only person in the restuarant, was seated by the same hostess who came back to my table 15 to 20 minutes later, and she had the audacity to say "Oh! I forgot about you" I ordered the lasagna, it was bland, with no distinguishable Italian flavor at all. I was so dissapointed by the food, I went home and made my own. My homemade lasagna turned out to be very good, being it was my first time. I do not recommend this place at all. I have yet to find a great Italian restuarant in Savannah, besides the well known franchised places.

Great for people that like Italian that is over sauces and covered in cream and butter. We ordered the antipasto app, nothing like a real antipasta plate. Rolls of ham, cheap salami, greek salad no dressing, Brie, cuc and tomatoes. The only good thing was the brusheta on it. Got 2 side salads, one with the meal we shared and an extra. The caesar side was a small side plate with store bought croutons for $4. We ordered the proscutto wrapped salmon with basil Alfredo. Very low quality, do like a little pasta with your cream sauce? Will not go back.

Perfect example of a very American view on Italian food. The pasta is overcooked and there's way too much cheese and oil on everything. Most people fall for these gimmicks, but oh lordy, not me. The owner was walking around in shorts and a polo. He didn't seem to have a clue about life, or food in general. He's probably never been to Italy, only Fazzoli's. But what do you expect from a place that takes its name from the Godfather movies? Rule of thumb: Avoid Italian restaurants with stupid names.

This is a pretty good casual Italian place that I've been to many time whilst at SCAD. It's fun, they have a full bar, and the food is of good quality at good prices. Moreover, most of the waitstaff are not only friendly but somehow very attentive despite the rush and bustle of the place on most weekend nights. It fills up and gets crowded very quickly, just to warn you . . . My only complaint is that the menu could be more extensive for a standard Italian restaurant as they are missing out on some dishes such as more pasta options you'd kind of expect them to have. Perhaps the limited menu allows for constant quality but still, I would like some more options and more innovative specials. Otherwise, what they do here they do a superb job of and Corleone's is a great addition to Savannah's downtown.

Things started off well with a big plate of calamari, hot, crispy with lots of nicely balanced marinara. The bread was excellent with a pesto and parmasean dipping sauce But the house salad was as boring as could be as a forewarning of bad things to come. After a ridiculously long wait, our entres came, veal scalopini in a garlicy greasy sauce and lobster ravioli cooked too al dente and smothered in a thick but tasteless "champagne" sauce. A very big disappointment ... and one that kept my wife up with indigestion all night.

We were a party of two looking for a bit of comfort food and since pasta fits that bill for us, we ventured in to Corleone's. Arriving without a reservation, we were seated promptly and treated to good service throughout the meal. The Shrimp Scampi was delicious as was the Sea and Garden pasta. Extra points go to the chef for substituting out the alfredo sauce to accommodate a dairy allergy. Accompanying house and ceasar salads fit the bill nicely. Note that pasta portion sizes are huge so don't order an appetizer unless you are really hungry. That being said, the calamari with marinara sauce was as good as we've had anywhere. Next time we visit Savannah we'll be back to Corleone's

Corleone's catered a meal at the Hampton. It was the most unacceptable $50 meal I've had in my life. Ice cold! The fork was too large to find the see through meat which was not " prime rib" wish I could give lower than 1 star. This was "garbage" The in charge person from Coleone's said she would be proactive and reheat it . Forget this waste of money

Rut-row Scooby. I read the reviews after ordering. From the outside this looks like it's going to be a great dining experience. Once inside I thought this is going to be a restaurant devoted to great Italian food. The menu....falls short of the expectation. There is the belief that seafood will be featured in there somewhere. But it seems to be a passing thought of the chef...(if they have one). There are so many really great Italian fish dishes and hello you are in a coastal town one block from the river. There is Adriatic Fish Stew, Tuna and white bean salad, or Puttanesca sauce on sauteed Cod. The pasta dishes left little to be desired. I got a basic alfredo. It was so bland. Come on if you are going to half ass it close down. The panini was just a shame. While the bread looked liked it had been pressed the inside of the sandwich told a different story. One of cold cheese and little filling. I think the bread came in with the grill marks already on it. If you are going to be this basic then knock the food out of the park. Basic Italian food is easy to cook and make taste great. An alfredo made fresh only takes minutes if you have the ingredients mis en place. Corleone's you need to step it up and get someone who loves Italian food in the kitchen. With the name Corleone's if the Godfather were around today you would have already been whacked!

Ate solo at the bar one night on a quick pass through town. Great bartender. The food was workmanlike Italian American. I had the shrimp appetizer (garlicky as all get-out) and a main course of cannelloni with meat sauce, quite good . Haute cuisine this ain't, but it doesn't pretend to be. In another era this would be 'red checkered table cloth Italian.' Well made, courteously and promptly served, good food at a fair price. I'd go back again in a heartbeat. In a tourist town, I was the only tourist to be seen, which to me was a plus. Clearly the locals know the place and they keep it humming.

I do not know where to begin on our experience at Corleone's. We saw it listed in the best restaurants in Savannah booklet and it caught our attention. We were seated immediately, but sat for 15 minutes without having a server come to the table. It appeared that many of the servers had come in and were having a meeting. Another table was seated in our section and they had a server coming over to get a drink order within a minute. We tried to catch her attention, but failed and went to the service bar and asked for a server. Someone came over and apologized for the confusion, but apparently the person that was suppose to be in our section was abruptly fired, and she didn't know we were there. She took our order right away and told us that she would get our order in right away. She did stop back several times and made sure we had plenty of water, etc, so we didn't feel neglected by her. I ordered the Frutti del Mare, which was shrimp and scallop kabob. The menu said there was a choice of several sides, and I requested the spinach pie. She asked what my other side was, and I was surprised that it came with two, because it didn't read that way on the menu. She told me i could have two spinach pies, but I told her that I would like cous cous as my second side. When our order came out, I had two spinach pies. We brought this to her attention and she told me the cous cous would be out in two minutes. In actuality, the cous cous did not come out until we were done eating. While were sitting at our table, we did notice that a couple that came in after us had been seated near us, and they had a similar delay in being served. As we were nearly finished with our meal, a server brought out two salads for us. We were confused primarily because we had already had our salad course. We told him that we thought it was for the couple at the table near us, and indeed it was. Our server came back and apologized all over again for everything. She wanted to know what she could do to make it up to us and we told her that there wasn't much that could be done. She gave us the check and we gave her two separate credit cards to split our order. She boasted, "This I can do." Unfortunately, she couldn't. She had mixed up our cards. It was easy enough to give my pal a five-dollar bill. We had enough go wrong with the service already. For the food. It was actually quite good. We were very pleased with the meal. Because of the bad service, I was tempted to give the restaurant only two stars, but it was the fact that one of the managers came over to check with us about our experience. He indicated that he knew there were some issues, some of it training and some of it communication. He offered us dessert, but we were on our way back to Atlanta after the meal, so we politely declined. It is my hope that he is able to address the situation and prevent others from having a similar experience. A note for our server, if she happens to see this. We do appreciate your empathy and attention and hope that things are going well now.

There is a first time for everything. I have never been to an Italian restaurant that bills itself as a fine dining establishment that serves on plastic dishes. Other than that the food was OK but not great. Seems to be aimed at the tourists.

No stars !!! First one ever!! This place takes the cake!!!! At first apearance looks like a quaint littlr neighborhood italian joint. Servers and hostes very friendly. We chose to sit st the bar. Ordered a few drinks and an appitizer .. We noticed the lasagna dishes and several others looked like pre made and then just tossed into the oven since we were right by the kitchen. Then the roaches started to come out of the wood work!!! Literally!!!! When we told our server he wasn't phased at all and said the exterminator was here last week guess he didn't do a good job! no s#4t!! We left immediatly and called the health department. STAY AWAY
