The food was very good. I had the tilapia and my husband had the Tejano Fajitas. They were both very delicious. We also had the cheese and beef dip and it as well was very good. I would recommend this place

Very slow service. Food wasn't great either. We wouldn't probably go back. Just not as good as our normal place.

This has been a family favorite of ours for years. We eat here at least once a week, & we are never disappointed. The service is always great & so is the food. This is a locally owned, family operated business that I would highly recommend.

Nice service. Salsa was also good. Xx was good..=) I dont like the ground beef they use in enchaladas....i forgot to order chicken...and enchalada sauce: no bueno. Corn tortilla on enchalada was kinda hard.. Tamale was alright. I did like the mexican cheese they used melted on top. Over all...i Wouldnt suggest this place. Sorry.

The food was mediocre. No flavor to the meat in the enchilada. The chile relleno had no cheese in it and filled with hamburger meat. Not what a chile relleno should be. The service was fair. I had to go to the cashier to get my bill so I could leave.

Yes this place is a hole in the wall. And I don't need no stinking beans or rice. This place was worth the drive. Excellent food and ambience. Waiter was attentive. Burritos, tacos, enchiladas, chips, spicy salsa - everything was outstanding.

Little hole in the wall restaurant but one of the best around! I have eaten here almost very Sunday for years and have never had a bad meal. The wait staff is super nice and will go out of there way to accommodate you. Among the best dishes are the arroz a la parilla (house special), sincronizada, and chimichangas. Definitely worth trying out.

WHAT happened to great service, good food and having the meal u order be prepared correctly? Doesn't exist here. The male waiter working at 5pm on Saturday, May 9, 2015 was unfriendly, unattentive, curt, and all around didn't have regard for us as customers or for Jalisco restaurant. I watched him with other tables... he responded the same. When I ordered Chimchangas with no meat....they were prepared like enchiladas. Not the traditional chimichanga preparation. When I asked for them to be cooked/fried in the usual manner his response was no, u asked for no meat so that's what u got. We do it that way....I asked him to remove them from the order because it wasn't prepared correctly; otherwise could they fix it. He said no! Therefore I asked him to take it. He said it was going to stay on the bill. I shared with him I wasnt going to pay for it. Of course at the end of the meal he had graciously removed the item off of the prepared ticket. Jalisco....not only was other order (fajitas) not flavorful the total experience was shitty. You get Thumbs down and no return visits.

I have come to the realization that I like Mexican restaurants for lunch because I don't feel guilty ordering a beer at 11:40AM! Jalisco was a random stop on the road trip down to Florida. Service was really good, friendly and fast. My friend had the chicken chilaquiles and I asked if a Chile Poblano dinner special could be sized and priced for lunch and they worked it out for me. It is great to see a staff, kitchen and management team that are willing to accommodate their patrons. Food was A-OK, would definitely come back if in the area again.

The margaritas were cheap during happy hour. The food, however, was awful. I hadvthe salad which came which came with almost no lettuce. My husband had the burrito, which was also awful.

Good food, the best Mexican in the area. Needs to improve the air quality in the restaurant though. Good service and reasonable price.

Wife and I only go here when we go visiting her brother's country cabin. The first time we went, we were taken here by brother John and his wife. Man , I freaked when I saw the bleak ancient strip center this place sits in. I just knew that ptomaine was in my immediate future, and hugging the ceramic bathroom god would be my activity of the night. Ah relief! This hole-in-the-wall 90 frackin' minutes from 285 has the BEST shrimp burritos on the face of the earth. Never mind the beans, never mind the rice. Pile on avocado slices and salsa and send yo' mouth way south of the border, ole'!

Overnight stop on our way to Wind Creek St Park in Alabama..starving! The manager at the RV park recommended this restaurant in the Walmart shopping center only a little over a mile away. So glad he did! I also had the shrimp burrito and was more than pleased. Chips were served hot the salsa though kinda thin was nice and spicy. Service was friendly and prompt. My husband had the special burrito with beef tips and said it was excellent. I agree with the previous reviewer I don't need bean and rice when the burritos are so tasty and filling. $24.00 for 2 dinners and 2 iced teas including tip. We will stop if in this area again.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
