As someone who grew up in Newnan, I have been waiting on a great local place that wasn't a chain, with a good atmosphere, great staff and better food...oh, and a full bar with craft beers. Moral of that story is...I think my waiting days are over! I heard about this place via Facebook posts and upon my next trip back home I vowed to stop in. Me and the sister decided to head to downtown Newnan and give it a whirl. It is in a very unassuming place, directly across the street from the Redneck Gourmet, with a medium sized, hand painted sign under a lantern. When you walk in you have a small seating area with booths to the right, with a small bar to belly up to that looks into the kitchen. To the left you have the full bar and some high tops along the wall. Not a very large place, but the overall set up, decor and atmosphere are great! Now onto the food! We started off with the "3 fried amigos". This was made up of fries, onion tangles and fried okra. They come with dipping sauces that are regular condiments with a twist...the best being the chimi-mayo. For our dinners we order some burgers...and man were they tasty! They were cooked perfectly medium. You never truly know how many burgers you get that are not prepared correctly until you get that one perfectly prepared medium, tender and juicy burger...which is what we both got here! We rounded the dinner out with a few craft brews. One thing I saw was a plethora of copper cups...which means mules! They said they serve a variety of them, so upon my next visit back I will be sampling these in addition to another burger! Overall, great place for Newnan. I honestly felt as I walked into a place in Midtown Atlanta, but was excitedly reminded it was in the downtown are of my hometown! Me and the sis are definitely fans and will be back!

This is probably the best burger place in Newnan. I love that it's downtown and the atmosphere is nice. Great service. I got the "One Eyed Willie" burger and thought it was really good. I would eat here again sometime if nearby, but I think I'll stick to grass-fed burger joints because I like the taste better. Overall, it's a good choice for lunch or dinner if you're in the area.

I have eaten at Meat 'n Greet three times now, and I would definitely recommend it! I've had the three sliders as an entree (falafel, American, pulled pork), the One Eyed Willie, and the High West Burger. All three were delicious and cooked perfectly! The fries are seasoned well, and you get A TON of them with each order. Our boys love their hot dogs and corn dogs. I have returned to this restaurant time and again, and definitely plan to in the future. We have not ever had an issue with wait time, and the service has been great on each visit. Our family of four went on Valentine's day in the mid-afternoon (around 3pm) and sat right down. We have also been there for dinner on a week night, as well as for lunch after church on Sunday. Yum!! Do yourself a favor and try it!

Super excited to have lunch there today. Got there early-no lunch crowd yet! Waitress was slow and we had questions, oh well. We were ready to order...where was the waitress? Finally ordered. I got a burger and okra. Asked for ranch for my okra. Food came. No ranch. Asked again for ranch and it finally came. Never filled up my tea. I was thirsty for 1/2 my meal. The burger was fair but was over cooked. The okra wasn't cooked enough and the breading was flaking off. The ranch was delish. When we finally got the waitress to bring our bills, I was charged for the ranch and my mom was charged for her side of salad dressing for the entree salad she ordered. Haha. Never heard of that! We asked for the manager. She came over and said she was sorry we felt the way we did. I was too! I wanted to have a nice lunch! No offer of taking off the cost of the dressing or anything! She said she would let the owner know what we thought. I told her to tell the owner to read it on Yelp. I also told her that I hoped the extra charge for the dressing was worth losing 3+ customers. We left and were outside talking about the horrible experience. The manager ran out and gave us a gift certificate for $10. Guess they didn't want a bad Yelp review?? Since none of us planned to go back I gave the gift certificate to an employee in a neighboring shop. Hopefully she will have a better experience.

Been here a few times when visiting Newnan and I wanted to like the place but for what you pay you get some mediocre burgers that are just small. They resemble something I could put together at home and the drinks are overpriced too. This is a burger joint after all nothing fancy as a matter of fact they had some guy there working with a skeezy rat tail waiting on customers.

When you are in Downtown Newnan the lunch options are very limited. So you have to pick and chose where you eat so you won't get burned out eating the same thing. Today the office decide to try one of the newest restaurants on the square. Excited to enjoy a cheeseburger, that feeling quickly went away with how this spot runs their business. I ordered the Blinded Eye Willie with Grilled Onions- 3 mins later the waitress said Grilled Onions wasn't an options. " What do you mean not an options" isn't this a Hamburger Spot? I asked to speak with the manager, and the manager stated because the restaurant was at capacity, Grilled Onions was not an option for my burger. I looked around the establishment and there were several tables available and the Bar area was completely wide open. So I didn't understand what she meant by at capacity. A few mins later the manager came back to the table and said they will honor my Grilled Onions request this time, but in the FUTURE (Believe me there will be no FUTURE) Grilled Onions will not be available. The food was average at best. My co worker ordered the pimento cheese sliders and was completely disappointed in her meal. My other co worker ordered the Fried Okra as a side- and the batter on the okra completely came off of the okra. The only thing positive about this spot was our waitress- she was first class. WON'T BE RETURNING!

Pretty good! Nothing to write home about. I was a little disappointed with the variety but we loved the atmosphere and it would be a fun place to take guests from out of town. We got the mini burgers and hotdog.

I'm a little torn writing this review because I had a bad experience but the food was really good. When we arrived we were told the wait would be 40 minutes. We almost left but decided to stay because I noticed we were the only name on the list. We ended up waiting less than 10 minutes. The hostess continued to tell guests the wait would be long even though it was rarely over 10 minutes. This is bad for business as they will drive potential customers away due to the wait time. Now the bad experience... While we waited we took a seat on their log bench. When I slid over to make room, a nail was sticking out and tore a large hole on the bottom of my shorts (only the second time I wore them too...). When we were seated I told the waitress what had happened, mainly so they can fix the issue before it happens to someone else or hurts someone. The waitress took me nicely telling her as an opportunity to joke about the situation asking me to stand so she could see the hole in the back of my shorts (wink wink)... I wasn't amused and that put me in a bad mood for the rest of the meal. And my shorts are ruined... She did nothing, no discount, no telling the manager. Nothing. I'm not the type to complain in order to get a free meal but I feel like a discount was warranted here. Now, for the food - I ordered the pimento cheese, bacon jam burger and it was really really good. I also had the onion tanglers which were awesome too. This shows how experience is just as important as food when going to a restaurant. If the hole in the shorts and "funny" waitress had not happened, this would undoubtably be a 5 star review. So, I do recommend the food just don't sit on the bench!

Fantastic burgers, even without any toppings. Delicious slaw, okra and root beer floats for dessert. We didn't try the salads but they looked wonderful as well. Worth a stop in downtown Newnan!

  • Harrison H.

Great burgers, and I love their gluten free buns. By far, the best gluten free buns I have had. Service is always up to par and their drink selection is great. My favorite part of this restaurant is their burger of the week. Every week, they have a different burger to try so the menu is never boring.

  • Jennifer C.

Delicious gourmet burgers made to order. The wait is a bit long, but definitely worth it. Awesome cocktails and a fun, trendy place in the old downtown part of Newnan.

  • Katherine K.

Worth the stop! Tried the slider sampler and chose the falafel, traditional, and pulled pork. My son ordered the High West with okra and my husband ordered a hot dog with the triangle onion rings. Everything was delicious and fresh. We all split the Moon pie bread pudding. It is a must! Service was friendly and the place has a nice ambiance.

For parents of three little kids, date night is usually takeout after bedtime and this place gets it perfect every time. Food is great, they never miss a thing and label everything. We go in as often as we can and the service is spectacular and food is awesome! One of our favorites.

Best burger place in town. Just wish the place was bigger. You can't get in there on Friday or Saturday night.

My wife and I stopped in Newnan on the way back from Atlanta. We found this place using Yelp and felt it necessary to give them 5 stars. The atmosphere was very nice, a clean rustic look that made you feel comfortable. We sat at the bar and we're greeted promptly with a smile. The worst part about our experience was trying to select an item to order because everything looked amazing!!! My wife picked the slider combo and I the goucho burger. Everything was cooked to perfection and the tastes were great. We had no plans on having a beverage other than tea, that is until we saw the bartender craft and amazing Bloody Mary garnished with olives, lemins, limes, bacon, and rimmed with a seasoning. One of the best I have tasted yet. If in Newnan GA, this is a fantastic stop.

We come here about once a week. The service remains outstanding and the food is consistently great. Don't forget to ask about the special burgers that aren't on the menu.

I love the fact that all the beers on tap are from local breweries with a great selection. The staff is very friendly and even when the place is packed do a great job. Last night I tried the Heavy Hitter Dog and found myself waking up and craving another. The combinations of toppings and ingredients on their dogs and burgers are orinal and work very well together. Don't forget the onion tanglers.

My wife and I had the pleasure of eating here on Friday evening arriving around 8:00, the place was packed. We knew there was going to be a wait so we sat at the bar; nice selection of craft beers but more specifically there is a promotion of Georgia breweries. After about 30 minutes at the bar we were seated and got pretty prompt service despite the crowd. Having worked in a restaurant at one part in my life I was happy to see they really have their act together and you don't get lost in the shuffle. As to the food, the selection was not huge so there are only a few real options but there are variations to satisfy most tastes. What they do, burgers, they do really well. Overall, the atmosphere was great, the service was fast and friend and the food was done really well. I look forward to going back and would highly recommend this restaurant.

Decent food. Not spectacular. It was not busy when we arrived but it took forever to get hamburgers. The waiter was attentive while we waited, however.

We had late lunch for mothers day around 1:30. Expecting to wait a while, once we orderd we didn't get food for an hour while the server just walked by and didn't check on us; they were out of hot dogs for our daughter and the grilled cheese was tiny; A $9.00 salad with very little chk, a hamburger split for two with a side salad and an additional charge for dressing. Once it was all said and done no manager came out to appologize for the dissatisfied experience, not kid friendly, decent customer service, over priced for quantiy of food...we will not be returning.

  • Brandon B.

I love this place. It has the best fries and drinks. As far as the staff, they are very nice and they are attentive to your table. I had the sloppy joe, it was like being a kid again. What an awesome throwback. This is a must visit

Really hip, cool looking space. Apparently they let me in despite an unstated half - sleeve tattoo minimum (applies to staff and customers) Ordered the chicken wings sprinkled with MnG rub. Outstanding! Perfectly light, extremely crispy skin. Flavor was reminiscent of pork rinds, I saw them taking what looked like chicharrones to a table, so I'm assuming they were fried together. Perfect start. The blue cheese dressing was made there and good. I don't know why more places don't do that. Fresh made is so much better than the gloppy stuff. The One Eyed Willy burger came next. It looked great, the fried egg on top was perfectly cooked. I wanted so much to like it, but the patty was underseasoned, and the bacon, well, the bacon left a lot to be desired. Too thick and leathery, it ruined the whole thing. Bacon deserves to be either crispy (my choice) or soft and unctuous. This poor pig died in vain to produce this bacon. The fries on the side started out great, perfect fry on them. Unfortunately, their quality went downhill quickly as they sat. I ended up dipping them in the remaining bleu cheese dressing. They ought to make that a pairing; it made the chewy fries good and made me wish I had started dipping when the fries were fresh I'll definitely go back for other options as long as the employer is picking up the tab (my 6 wings, burger, fries and a coke settled out at $25 with the tip.

Love eating here. The burgers are amazing. Love the atmosphere in the bar part of the restaurant. My husband and I go here for our date nights. For folks that are on a gluten free diet for sensitivity or celiac disease they have bakery made gluten free buns and a separate fryer for the fries. They have even made us wings in the separate fryer. My husband loves The Guacho burger and I am a traditional Textbook burger fan. Just make your gluten free needs very clear because they have some new people on their waitstaff now.

Good food and great location. Our server was great too. This was my first time in Newton and I'm glad we found this place.

Meat N Greet is a cool little place with a nice atmosphere. Unless you're in the mood for burgers, give this place a pass. That being said, the burgers are just mediocre. They're not bad but neither are they great. And they are slow. Very very slow. It beats the hell out of fast food, which may be why it's so slow.

So happy Newnan square got a new restaurant! Been there twice and the burger was delicious, cooked perfectly and the creative toppings were a welcome surprise. The waitstaff was attentive and very friendly. Bar area is great if you want to just pop in for drinks with friends.

Awesome burgers and great different drinks. Had the sazarac with absinthe and it was great. Also had the habanero margarita and it was delicious. Every one in our party of 6 loved it and will be coming back soon. Glad to have this little place in Newnan.

Very delicious. Great quality meat in the burgers. Friendly staff! Affordable and convenient. My no.2 burger all time. Had the gaucho with avocado and jalapenos. Everything was fresh and delicious. Highly recommend.

Earned all stars!!! We're out-of-towners from Houston and are super big on local restaurants. This one is definitely a winner. I got the one eyed Willie, which is a burger with lettuce, cheddar, bacon, tomato jam (which is scrumptious) topped with an over easy egg. The hubs got the high west which is also a burger. Can't remember what all was on it, but he said it was really good. When my order came out the egg had a piece of hair on it, the server said it was from the egg, but took it back anyway. When my order came back the egg was totally undercooked, but hair free. :-) I scraped the raw egg whites off and ate the entire burger. The patties are definitely smaller than most places but again were very tasty. Several minutes later the manager came by, asked how everything was and told us she took my burger off the check. The Pecan Bourbon bar with ice cream was also really good. Think of it as Pecan pie brownie bar with ice cream. Overall a really good experience. Great food with good customer service, casual rustic chic ambiance makes for an overall good experience. If I lived here, I'd be a regular.

I really wanted to like this place because it is a charming atmosphere and the service was warm and welcoming but the food was bland. Ordered the Smoky Wings with MnG rub and they were not flavorful and the rub was also just meh. Also ordered the three sliders and the burger was very dry and bland and the falafel was more like a chick pea salad, very loose and crumbly. The pulled pork was the best of the three but not worth going back for because other places do pulled pork better. I would love to have the food improve because everyone there seems very enthusiastic but the intensity would need to be turned up.

GREAT experience! We ordered the special, El Diablo, finally a place that gets what spicy should be. The burgers were delicious! Let's also not forget the service. Our server was ver knowledgable about the local beer selections and recommendations to pair with our burgers. I Also want to mention that I ordered the gluten free bun and it was very good, not dry like I have experienced at some other restaurants.

  • Andrew W.

The food was great. They have sell craft beer which is something that you won't find a lot of in Newnan. My only complaint with the beer is the selection. Expand the selection of craft beer and it would be amazing. The food was cooked great. The menu is a little small, but there is something for everyone. I enjoyed my meal and will go back again.

We were in town for a baseball tournament and decided to stop in in try this restaurant and we were not disappointed. There were five of us for lunch. Four ordered the really amazing burgers and one ordered the sloppy mess. The burgers were cooked to perfection and homemade buns were very good. We all agreed the french fries were some of the best we've ever had. Its a nice restaurant with with a really laid back atmosphere.

Tried Meat n Greet last night (Valentine's) with my sister. They were very crowded but we were seated in a reasonable amount of time. The kitchen was a little slow, but no more than you would expect from a restaurant that had only been open a week on Valentines Day! Now for the food! It was incredible! We tried the 3 Fried Amigos appetizer and now I may have to have it every time I go! The whole fried okra was a revelation. I have never felt the need to dip my fried okra in anything, but the dipping sauce was awesome! The other two amigos were also great and the dipping sauces extremely good. Our burgers, the High West and the Kentucky were perfection and the roasted sweet potatoes were some of the best ever. I highly recommend this new eatery. We will be regulars.

FINALLY a decent place to eat in downtown Newnan/Ansley Park for EVERYONE!! I live in East Cobb (or Snob if you must) and have, as a former 4 Star restaurant Maitre' D, what you may call high food standards (aka I am VERY picky). My husband lives in downtown Newnan and loves anything fried that stops hearts (literally, as in your muscle). Meat and Greet is not a chain, has gluten free options, makes their own salad dressings, serves a mixture of healthy greens and offers wine not out of a box in "flavors" other than red, pink or white. Also offered is straight up messy BBQ and really authentic sweet tea. PEOPLE of Newnan/Senoia/ Sharpsburg, even you Buckheaders and Midtowners out for a drive thru the City of Homes (HINT) , please, please, please skip the chain restaurants by the highway and try this local spot. You may have to drive 3 miles further if your destination is the mall area, but I promise for the SAME PRICE you will have better quality food, a unique and comfortable atmosphere, service from a professional waiter who cares and support small town commerce. How we got there was by accident; literally swerving into one of the ample parking spots just past the entrance in the next block last Sunday after Methodist Church (IE we beat the Baptists to lunch). With family in town of multiple ages and taste abilities we were driving to a chain by the highway when my stepson suddenly screamed, "Hey I heard that place just opened and is awesome!" Although I am skeptical of restaurants teen males discuss among themselves, I rationalized M&G had to be better than ##@@@@ so truly we slammed on our brakes and skidded in. Upon entering, in full view is an open kitchen. I saw REAL veggies being cut by clean cook staff with actual chef knives all the while salivating from the aromas coming forth. Naturally I looked around for candid camera or those four guys on cable who punk people but alas, they were elsewhere. Our table ordered everything from extra fries with ranch (homemade and great) to smoked chicken salad on mixed greens to hot dogs crammed with cheese and other stuff. My husband's hamburger meat looked and smelled so good I actually (GASP!) took a bite (bun free of course) and made a note to ask for the same meat grind combo at Whole Foods. REALLY! So I beg you, locals, tourists and anyone looking for a fun place to eat in a beautiful old downtown square 30mins south of the city, do me a favor eat here. I don't want this local business to fail if not just for my own selfish palate, but for the greater good of all mankind. SHD

OMG. I love this place! Get the "sweet southern mess" and the mule cocktail with whiskey ! Very yummy and affordable - a great local spot!

  • Andrew S.

This place kicks major butt! Every. Burger. Is. Awesome. (I think I've had 6 or 7 by now) Just one request! Please clean your bar glasses better, and upgrade your glassware (to a glencairn style glass, or whiskey tumbler) for neat whiskey orders. The whiskey is an awesome selection but a tad high. To make up for the cost the presentation should be a little flashier. Getting a neat bourbon in a chilled, clean whiskey tumbler would be a home run! Only saying cause I want you guys to succeed, and also don't want what appeared to be a dried nasal discharge on the side of the glass to ever appear again. Cheers!

Today was our 3rd time there. This was the first time we were seated on the bar side -- never again. It was like we were forgotten over there. It took way longer than it ever has to get or order. 2 of our party had the okra, and it was hot when it was served. The other 3 of us ordered fries and there were barely warm. We had taken guests there so we were very disappointed in the service and then the NOT hot fries because they are usually to die for. Our waiter told us one time he was sorry it was taking so long but we didn't get another update until we caught his eye. The owners of the Meat N Greet could be well served in an instance like that to offer the guests something - a free appetizer; drinks free - just something for the inconveniences they were encountering. We did not complain about the fries just because by that time we were just happy to have food. We will go there again but honestly, had we not had guests with us today, we would have walked out. Too bad, too, because it is otherwise a wonderful place to eat.

My husband and I went to Meat n' Greet with a group of 10 that dine together about once every two months in Newnan. My husbands pork sandwich contained a huge piece of fat which spoiled his meal. We will not return.

We loved our meal! The Southern Mess was a small portion but tasted excellent. Onion Tangles tasted amazing. There is no separate kids menu so we ordered a full size cheeseburger and split it and a hot dog. I ate the leftover cheeseburger that the kids didn't eat and was really good and I'm not even a big beef eater. Service was great which is extremely nice bc we have a hard time finding restaurants around Newnan w good, attentive servers. Was also nice and clean.

My mom has lived in Newnan since 2002, and I have spent many nights out for dinner with her in and around town. Meat n' Greet is, hands down, the best dining experience I've ever had there. The food is creative and delicious, and the selection of local beers is excellent. My only regret is that my mom is moving up to Madison, so I may never have a chance to eat here a second time.

This little gem is located just off the town square. Great Hamburgers, and hot dogs these are not your typical american fare...very unique made with quality meats and breads. Great side dishes one of my favorite is a trio of fried okra, green beans and onion strings. The food here is fabulous and well worth the expense. They also carry a large variety of draft and craft beers.

The burgers are absolutely amazing but there's a good bit of a wait for seating especially on weekends since it's kind of a small place. Also quite a wait to get the food each time I've gone. Still - the food is phenomenal

  • Stella K.

This place is appealing -- clean, great selection of bourbon and beer, and interesting-sounding dishes. We were a bit disappointed, though, in the falafel burger (which wasn't really falafel -- it was more a bland veggie burger with chickpea) , the handmade corndog, and one of the signature cocktails. I loved the place and the menu, but the food didn't live up to the image, with the exception of the *amazing* bourbon pecan dessert. We'll give it another try sometime and try other menu items and cocktails, but this visit was not so impressive. The service, however, was great!

We ate here for the first time with a couple of friends a few weeks ago. It is a cute little restaurant - I like the ambiance. The service was great, although they were having difficulties with their speakers while we were there. Every so often, a song would just be way too loud, which wouldn't have been bad if it were just adults but our friends had their 3 year old little girl. It was bothering her ears. However, they were very accommodating and turned the music down. Everyone ate everything off their plates from the burgers to the corndogs to the chicken sandwich - fries and onion rings...not a drop was left. Great food and great prices! We will definitely be back!

It's great when a place concentrates on a few things and does them right. MnG does just that. From the pimento sliders to the burgers to dessert. Unique choices and all done well. Service was fast and my usual if they ask about dessert, I'll do it test was successful. Sliders-excellent. Burger- done medium, perfect. Dessert-perfect size amd really good. Moonpie bread pudding. Side salad was one of the best I have had in recent memory. I hope MnG keeps up the great job, cause we will be back.

Cute lil spot in Downtown Newnan. The service was great and I liked the ambiance. The fried okra is a must! (It comes in stick form rather chopped lil bit form). Got the Philly Cheesesteak burger. Absolutely scrumptious. I wasn't expecting the fries to be seasoned, but was really excited that they were. They went great with the ranch. Will definitely go back when I return once again to the City of Homes.

  • Cody C.

Seriously the burgers are on point every time. Prices are really good for what you get. The gaucho burger is probably the best burger I've ever had. The high west is also awesome along with the MnG burger. The French fries are awesome and they have whole fried okra which taste amazing especially with the chimi mayo sauce! Highly recommended this place! Also they have many many beers on tap which you can't go wrong with. Also not your average beer, always new different kinds of beer. So if you like a good beer, there is another plus!

I LOVE this restaurant. It is a delightful surprise in the heart of the South. The smoky, perfectly spiced dry wings are a ridiculous treat I think about whenever I want a chicken wing in Georgia! The burgers are off the hook and I've had excellent service twice in a row. The atmosphere is comfortable and warm, and the beer selection is good. This place is so great, in fact, I kind of don't even want to try anywhere else around here..I don't know how someone can improve on this.... (And I'm a hard reviewer)

We've eaten here twice. The Sloppy Dog and VooDoo Chicken Sandwich are my favorites. The Vidalia Onion Tangles are a must! Great place for variety of craft beer also!

I was shocked at how much I liked this place. First off, pay the extra dollar to get the side salad. For just the basil dressing, it is entirely worth it, and I'll be attempting to recreate it at home. It's also topped with goat cheese crumbles--so good. I got the voodoo chicken sandwich, and it was one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had. Moist without being dripping, spiced well, and a great crunch in the slaw. The boys got the MNG burger and the one topped with pimento cheese--both were very happy with their decision. Awesome dinner!!

I'm updating this to 5 stars because we go regularly, and it never disappoints. Consistently good food and drinks, and when it's not too hot out, I like sitting out back. They have mosquito spray, just ask!

They really did it right here!! There have been a lot of eateries at this location but none compare to the unique environment, great service, and one of a kind amazing cuisine that you get at Meat b Greet!! Great job guys!!

Had lunch there today. The atmosphere was very casual and tastefully done. Paintings on the wall are painted by the owners mom, which i loved. Christina was our waitress and couldn't have been better. Highly recommend the the appetizer hummus . It's homemade, served with fritos, cucumbers and carrots.. Out of this world. We got a guacamole burger and a lunch salad (can't remember the exact names cause there's so many of both on the menu). Food was amazing. Also, fries and all salad dressings were homemade and awesome. Great decor, great homemade food, and great service!

A fantastic menu and atmosphere. I have several food allergies and they were happy to accommodate me. I wish I lived closer so I could eat here more often. -Zoe

Went here with some friends and an out of town guest. It was peak time on a Saturday night but they were very friendly and accommodated our party without a reservation. The waitress was great and very knowledgable about the menu. What they offer is fairly limited, but the items they offer are superb! We all shared an appetizer that included their fried okra, which is a "must try" in my opinion. I opted for the special. It was the Thai Burger and it was fantastic. I also order a salad before my meal and it was equally delicious. The rest of our group tried various burgers off the menu. At the end of our meal the only thing left was 5 empty plates! This is a fun place for families or a date. Keep up the good work!

Son of Bat Crazy Monkey... Why is this food so good? The wife and I can here on Sunday (8/23/15), for the first time. Place was clean, Staff very friendly, food was super good. If you are a fan of Flip Burger, or Grub Burger... You will love this place.

I'm sorry, did you say you wanted a town that's cool and old school like Mayberry on drive-in night? Well, winner winner. This places fits perfectly into the downtown that's somehow fresh but a blast from the past. Walk in and get nice old school country style, without being cheesy. The food is excellent and is the place I recommend to all my friends that land in ATL and have to travel west. I've had every hamburger there, every side, and all the desserts. It's always been either 1) pretty darn good or 2) great. The desserts and special items (I'm talking about you brussel sprouts) will force you to gut punch the person who just ordered the last serving to ensure you get yours (sorry 8 year old girl, but it's time to grow up and learn about disappointment.) The ONLY downside I can say is that a ten'fiddy can of beer here cost $10......that's f'n crazy, even by bar club exotic nightlife in Dubai or Ibiza Spain levels. For that reason, stick with soda or tea, as only ballers can afford to get a buzz here. Drunk...well you must be a millionaire.

Went with a huge fan of the restaurant, and wasn't too disappointed. I had the Patty's Melt (their Burger of the Week), a really tasty burger that had homemade 1000 Island dressing and wonderfully grilled onions that weren't overcooked. My only contention with the sandwich was that it was not grilled once put together. I think this would have kept the medium burger from bleeding out into the bread, therein keeping the (not very) rye bread from getting soggy as you consumed the tastiness. Small complaint, but overall a tasty burger. The only reason I give 4 stars is the B3 burger, which is MnG's veggie option. My gf is a vegetarian and was happy to try the options at a primarily meat inspired menu. I understand completely that basing ones review of a mainly carnivorous restaurant menu on the veggie options can be seen as unfair, but if MnG wants to advertise such items and bring in the odd vegetarian than I hope they work on making the bean burger a better and more tasty option. The main issue was the patty itself, it just didn't have enough substance and broke apart at first bite. The taste was nice, but could have used a bit of egg yolk or other binding agent to keep it together and close to a patty consistency. The sides we shared were tasty. The fries were amazing, no qualms there. The fried okra (lauded upon by our server and fellow diner) was fine, I thought it being whole fried added to more okra flavor but was less crispy than sliced. The mayo dip that was recommended by our server added a nice zip the sides, but I don't generally like to dip things in mayo since I want to keep my heart beating past my 30's. Recommended highly, unless you have a vegetarian dining with you.

Echoing previous positive reviews. The place is really good. Great atmosphere, knowledgable waitress, excellent food that is fresh and of good quality. Try the wings with the house rub. They are an amazing appetizer. I had the Gaucho burger, which was amazing. The mayo that they have has a nice spicy kick. Highly recommend this place. Will definitely be back again.

Excellent, excellent, excellent time and time again. The Meet 'n Greet experience begins at the door. You walk in to be immediately greeted by friendly staff. Every server is top notch, not a below par server that I've found so far. Drinks always stay refilled and servers are prompt and courteous. The food is incredible I've tried every burger and they are all amazing! They are expertly crafted and the price is great! It's worth way more than what you pay so it's a win win! Final verdict: great service, great atmosphere, best burger in Newnan.

Have been there twice. Both times the food was really great. I haven't had a chance to check out the bar but it has a nice set up and it off to the side of the restaurant which is nice if your sitting and eating and aren't up for the bar scene. The burgers at delicious and the onion straws are pretty great. Not too many vegetarian options (I know...the name gives that away) but they do have a falafel burger which is nice. Would def recommend!

Fresh, local, and delicious! I'd gladly eat here over the other burger places around Newnan. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is unique and inviting. They also have an impressive drinks list. I recommend the "Gaucho" burger with a root beer float! Cant wait to come back and try more! Thanks!

Love this place! If you are looking for a low key but trendy place to grab an exquisite designer burger and a great draft beer, then this is your place. Love the interior of the restaurant as well with exposed wood and modern rustic accent pieces. The house "green" dressing is yummy on any salad as well.

My boss booked ahead for our Christmas luncheon. We were supposed to have seating all together at one table...not. We had ONE server for over twenty people. Took forever. Food is better than my first couple of outings. I'm sure my boss will never book them again because he was PISSED!

A great, unconventional dining experience for this area. Aside from their eclectic menu, Meet 'n Greet is also featuring some of America's most wonderful distillations, from whiskeys to white liquors to local and regional microbrews. These are the sort of offerings many of us have to drive to Atlanta to experience. A welcome and tasty change in the area. The décor is predominantly rustic wood inspired, with cute locally produced artwork. The original skylight shining onto the full bar adds to the ambience. They may have the Southern Crescent's largest and most diverse bourbon collection.

My wife and I have been here together or with others about five or six times now. We just went again for lunch and got the High West burger and Sloppy Mess. My wife has gotten the Sloppy Mess every time she's been there because it's so good. She said she's never seen me look so happy after a bite of food as I did after I had my first bite of the High West. I'm pretty sure I had an audible response to the taste. All the burgers are very good but this one was special. I also tried the moon pie bread pudding which is outrageous. I don't think I would change a thing. This is the perfect complement to The Cellar for downtown eateries. There's no point in going anywhere else.
