My family's been going here as long as I can remember. But, since I live out in California and have only been able to come out to visit a couple of times while growing up, I've only been once or twice myself. Somehow I had forgotten how great the food is. My boyfriend and I flew out to Georgia this past month to visit my grandparents and they wanted to make sure that we got some good food at the Pond since we didn't get the chance the last time we came out. It was the boyfriend's first experience and we were both incredibly happy with what we ordered. We ended up splitting the steak and shrimp and my grandparents ordered us some fried green tomatoes to go with it. Everything was so GOOD! The steak was perfectly cooked and tender. The shrimp was deliciously breaded. The homemade (and very secret) tartar sauce is fantastic. And the fried green tomatoes were probably the best I've ever had. If you happen to be in the area Thursday through Sunday, definitely make sure you stop in.

The remodel has made a world of difference to me! I feel much more comfortable eating there now and it looks so much better! My only complaint is that they fry everything in the fish grease.. I like my fries to taste like fries, not fish :(

Great seafood place. The service was excellent and we were very pleased with all the items we ordered! Don't waste your time with the appetizers though. They're a little expensive for what you get and the main meal will fill you up! They also have private rooms to accommodate if you prefer.

I visited March 2013 and loved the food but my big golf group waited for 2 solid hours for dinner. Kid you not. BUT, I must say the food was perfecto. Filet was great. Fried green tomatoes that I stole from Coach Hicks plate were hot and perfect. The fried shrimp were the best I've ever had bar none and I've been around. Our group hit them at at a bad time. I would go back again. Yes, I am crazy waiting 2 hours but....the company was good!
