June 19, 2014. Dead around 5:30 pm. Friendly service Ordered the 2 meat and 1 side. Ended getting ribs, pork, and doubled the hash as the 1 side. Then ordered an extra potato salad for $1.80. With 3 drinks. The total was under $20. The hash is great as it's tasty and meaty with the southern flavor I know. The pork was moist. However, the ribs were half skimpy bones and some little meaty. If I just ate the bones, a dog wouldn't have been happy without any meat. The potato salad was a nice tangy yellow mustard flavor. Very tasty. They have a mild and hot BBQ sauce. Both are flavorful on tasting peppery vinegary and slightly tangy. I'm still a fan.

Served a heap of food, and if you are hungry but don't care to much about taste, this is the joint for you. Ribs were actually cool like in cold? Potato salad was good. The hash thing over rice I guess you have to acquire a taste for

Sub par BBQ. Moved to Augusta from Atlanta area and have been looking for good BBQ.This is not it. Would not come back here. Agree with the other comment about a "boiled taste." Their sauce is also very weak...no depth of flavor.

My family has been coming here for years. I would hands down say that this is the best barbecue in the Augusta area. It's very small inside, so we've always gotten take-out, but the food has never been a disappointment. I particularly love the hash and pulled pork sandwiches.

Went there last year. Below par bbq...chicken and brisket were so dry. Ribs were tough and not f.o.t.b. Sides were average. No one in the restaurant.

Went here for lunch a while ago. Mrs. P and I had pulled pork sandwiches, sauce on the side, pickles, potato salad, and sweet tea to drink. The pulled pork had literally no smoke on it, but the sauce added decent flavor. The pickles had something gritty in them, so I only had a bite or two. The potato salad was the best part of the lunch but was too wet. Most alarming, the sweet tea tasted like it came from a can or a mix. Also: before ordering, I tried a bite of the hash, which the proprietor said used a ketchup-based sauce. I went with the sandwich because the hash was very bland. Bottom line: given the other local options, there's no reason to get que that isn't smoky or tea that came from a mix. If you're looking for good bbq, don't stop here.

I know that BBQ preferences differ from person to person, so I like to try different places. I only have gone to Cleve Edmunds once, and I wasn't super impressed (it wasn't terrible either). I got a large pork BBQ sandwich and the pork was good, the tenderness was good, but man was it dry! The fries I got with it were good though. Nice big ones and not those skinny little crunchy things like at McDonalds. Apart from the sandwich being dry, it wasn't necessarily bad, but the other thing that bugged me a bit (and I know it isn't Cleve Edmunds fault), is that it was a nightmare trying to turn left onto Washington Road after I ate there. If you are driving by and want some good quality pork, stop in; if you are a sauce aficionado, maybe you should try something else.
