I don't know why this location is far inferior to the one in Smyrna. I was alone, so I sat at the bar. I asked for a coffee with a side of caramel syrup. The server brought me the coffee, and the type of caramel you pour over a sundae, not the syrup you add to coffee. Needless to say, it was not good, so I requested a new cup without any flavoring.

We celebrated Father's Day with brunch at J Christophers. We were promptly seated. The service was excellent and the food was hot. Coffee and water was plentiful. The only criticism is that my over easy eggs on my spinach and bacon skillet were well done.

I thought I'd try this place out after seeing everyone post pictures on instagram if this place and I was glad I did. The food is great. Blueberry crunch pancakes I would recommend! Service was good, very friendly waiters. The only complaint? The food wasn't very hot. I think it had been sitting for a minute before served to us. But I'd definitely come back here to try lunch!

I've heard that J Chirstopher's is the place for breakfast and my first experience would almost validate that. I ordered the Route 66 skillet meal and it came out hot with a country biscuit. The skillet meal was delicious but could have used some cheese, however the biscuit wasn't so great - it lacked flavor and density. I would like to go back to try different parts of the menu, everything looked good.

The food is good. Decent for a quick bite to eat for breakfast or lunch. Nothing over the top, but good. This location is near by work and I just wish that they have more of a lunch menu, because although I love breakfast, I can't do it for all of my meals.

I had my first visit (finally) to J Christopher's for brunch. Honestly, I was really let down because it was so highly recommended. The only thing that was really good were the Elvis Cakes, which aren't even on the menu except for the month of August. I ordered the Traditional, which was less than spectacular. My eggs tasted like they were the kind out of the carton and the cheese I had added to them was absolutely horrible, someone needs to spend a little more cheddar on their cheese. The bacon was tasty but it wasn't crisp and the coffee wasn't too memorable. However, the Elvis Cakes that my boyfriend had were delicious; these were pancakes with bananas and peanut butter chips on top and were absolutely amazing. I most likely won't be back, unless it is August.

As long-time customers of JC on Powers Ferry, we continue to experience service by staff who seem to be enjoying what they do and work well as a team. Though we often eat the same thing - The Traditional - we have ventured to try many of the items on the breakfast/brunch menu. Our grandchildren love the potatoes and skillets, as well as the Dinosaur Eggs. Healthy options - including some novel omelets and Atkins choices - are great selections as well.

This is always a must for breakfast whenever we have guests in from out of town. Their coffee is the best around. So good that my dad will bring it up in conversation from 3 states away. "Have you been to Christopher's lately for a cup of coffee?" ANYWAY...I alternate between obsessing over their Berry Crepes (side of crisp bacon, please) and their Creme Brulee French Toast. SO GOOD. The walls are an incredible shade of pink and nearly every server there (at least during the weekend) barely looks old enough to be in the service industry. But, we never leave this place less than FULLY satisfied.

I like their skillets, and you can make your own. The omelets are also good. Their roasted potatoes are fabulous. I wish their pancakes were better, they do not hold a candle to IHOP or Original Pancake House. Still, good eats otherwise.

    J. Christopher's has consistently good breakfast food at any of their locations. My wife and I frequent this location for Sunday breakfast because there's almost always no wait for a table! Compared to most breakfast joints around Atlanta, that's a HUGE plus! You can't miss with anything on the menu, I love the skillets, myself. They serve amazing coffee as well. Mmmmm.

This is a great place to get a consistent breakfast and a good cup of coffee. I thought the service here was good and this location has a lot more space than Kennesaw or Midtown. They also have free wifi and plenty of small booths that are good if you're here alone.

My husband and I have been here three times so far - we come every time we're in Georgia and love it for breakfast! I always get the Blueberry Crunchcakes, which are nutritious and delicious, and even better with real maple syrup (costs $1.50 for a tiny little cup - otherwise it's the fake maple syrup stuff). The service is always great, the coffee is fresh, and the military discount is the best I've ever encountered.

This is definitely our go-to spot when we're craving a hearty breakfast. We really come here for their skillets. The food here is consistent and we've never had a bad experience with each visit. Like every other J. Christopher's the interior is brightly decorated and well maintained. The staff at this location is particularly friendly and courteous. My favorite skillet is the Turkey and Avocado. I'm a huge fan of pico de gallo and this skillet has plenty of it. It has huge chunks of sliced turkey and the potatoes are cooked perfectly. The potatoes are cooked crisp and not greasy at all. The boyfriend always orders the Sausage and Gravy skillet and he's always pleased with his order. We both order the skillets with eggs over easy and you can pay an extra dollar for a pancake if you're not craving the standard biscuit that comes with the order. This restaurant is located in a shopping center next to the Micro Center on Powers Ferry Rd. On weekends they are pretty busy but the wait is no longer than 10 minutes so be sure to stop by if you're in the area!

One of my Son's said this was a must for breakfast in Marietta Ga and has been trying to get me to try it for two years. Finally had the chance to visit the Marietta location this morning (it's a local chain) The hit for breakfast was the Cold Steel Oatmeal my wife had along with the side of fruit. I had one of the combination of bicuirt and sausage gravy along with cheese scrambled eggs and home fries. Biscuits were hard with no texture and obviously not fresh, eggs were OK but even so, runny and the home fries,... the jury is still out but with a lot of reservation. Atmosphere is OK but at 7:00 am, who cares. Only thing about me that is awake at this time is the tastebuds. Generally very clean but they do need to do more frequent checks of the men's room. Otherwise it's a good stop but little to separate it from a Bob Evan's except better service and less crowded

I had the sausage and eggs...it was ok. We got our food pretty quick. My boyfriend had the Buffalo chicken skillet and he said it was pretty good. I didn't care for their potatoes...mine were a bit on the cold, not so fresh side but the eggs, sausage links and the biscuit were pretty decent.

It was good not over the top but good.. Came here with with the family (4 of us) cost about 40.00 and no complains other the one dirty cup so it was a good experience.

Not much to say here. The break fast is pretty standard. Nothing ground breaking. I usually come here once every blue moon when I'm feeling really, really lazy because it's right down the street. Their pancakes are mediocre. Cheese grits aren't too bad. Bacon is kinda thin. Service is always good though. And for the price it's not too bad. Most plates are under $8-10. I'd say it's just slightly better than IHOP.

I've been to this and other J. Christopher's locations dozens of times. This is a great place for typical American breakfast. The menu is a good size and has a surprising number of items. Everything I've ordered here has been very tasty, even the coffee. The service is usually very good and I've rarely had a problem. We've had larger groups in the past and they've been accommodating. If you come during the fall and winter, they have amazing pumpkin pancakes. The only reason I don't give this a 5 is the noise. They've made some bad design choices inside with flat wood ceilings and tiled floors. It's often full on the weekend and it gets hard to hold a conversation.

I love this place. Most people don't know they have a build-your-own skillet on the menu, but if you're feeling creative you can make some really excellent stuff. Also around Christmas, they have these gingerbread waffles with spiced cream cheese that are amazing. I work close by so I probably eat here two or three times a week, and above all else it's the delicious brunch food they serve that keeps me coming back. The staff has always been pretty awesome, but they cook the hell out of some eggs. My personal favorites are the J. Grits, the Blueberry Crunch cakes (pancakes with blueberrys and granola, what's not to like?) and their monstrous tower of eggy meat they call a club sandwich. They add and take away different items bi-monthly it seems to keep things fresh and give people like me something to look forward to. As I mentioned before, in the winter they have an awesome gingerbread waffle, and in spring they add pesto to their menu with some really awesome takes on Italian classics (eggs bruschetta, etc). If you dig breakfast food as much as I do, or if you show up at Micro Center 3 hours before they open on a Sunday, give this place a chance. It's worth it.

Ham and mushroom skillet was more like MUSHROOMS n ham but it was very filling. Eggs you can have them cooked any way u want them. Biscuit or English muffin. Coffee was also good.

Finally a location closer to home! It took me a while before I actually paid a visit, but when I did I was very pleased! We went on a Sunday, so it was pretty busy, we waited around 20 minutes to be seated, no big deal, the staff was very welcoming and friendly. Our waiter took a bit long to stop by, but overall he was good! The food was pretty good, not overwhelming, but great, specially their grits wow, best I've ever had!

Pumpkin spice pancakes had a mild flavor to it, not overly spiced with nutmeg or pumpkin seasoning. Pancakes were average. French toast slices were big, syrup paired well together

I went here on a Sunday with my boyfriend. It was busy which was surprising to me. We were seated quickly though. Our waitress seemed a little space-y. She asked for our drinks, I ordered a water and my boyfriend a coke. She came back with my water but gave my boyfriend coffee. When our food arrived he asked for a coke. She appeared with the check and he had to ask a third time for a coke. We weren't charged for the coke, but three requests for a drink? Overall experience was alright but I don't think we'll go back anytime soon.

I've always enjoyed the good here. Unfortunately they recently turned us away from the patio area because we had my puppy with us. He was with us less then a week earlier and it was fine. I'm not sure what changed, but when you turn customers away from an empty restaurant....

Service is mostly prompt and attentive and ambience is friendly. It winds up being about a $50 breakfast for four adults. My philosophy is that, at a restaurant, if you order a hot dish, when the dish arrives at the table, there should be visible steam you can see rising off the food. Or at least heat you can feel, just above the food. The last two times I have visited, I have had one or more items on my plate arrive cold or just warmed over to take the chill out when they reached me. Neither time was it crowded. I hate sending things back; it disrupts the enjoying your company when you are eating and they are not, or vice versa. I was here with Mr. D on a Thursday morning in late April this year and my hash browns (more like cottage fries) were cold. Restaurant was less than one-third full, so they weren't short-handed. I felt silly sending them back because I was only intending to eat a few anyway, so I didn't. It was a fluke, I assumed. (Wrong!) We were also here Mother's day morning this year with Misses G and L (early, around 8:30 a.m.--most customers had not shown up yet so dining room was less than 20% full) and every item in my two-egg traditional breakfast was cold. My toasted English muffin wasn't warm enough to melt the butter I had immediately spread over it. Of course, the second time wasn't a fluke, and when I got up and asked another waitress (by then our waiter was out of sight, where he mostly stayed) they cheerfully warmed my plate. When business is this slow, waitstaff should remain in sight of their sections, so if anything is needed, they can be told directly. His "follow-up drop by" happened not to take place until my warmed plate was coming back out. On the same Mother's Day, my sister-in-law (Miss L) asked for her tea water to be served "almost boiling," and she acknowledged that this was probably an unusual request. This took two tries, and was not as warm as she asked for but she chose not to ask for this a third time. This lack of attention to detail is is unacceptable at this price point. If management believes that people will come just because they are in a great location and serve just wonderful food--well, think again. The only way to screw up breakfast is to burn it or serve it cold. Reminded me of a crappy hotel breakfast where they don't care about optimal presentation because they know you won't be back, anyway. I like their convenient location and enjoy the atmosphere but I don't intend to return.

The French toast is AMAZING and service is always great. If I still lived in Atlanta I would be here twice a week!

Two words, sub par. The food is mediocre at best. It's way over priced and the table they gave us(party of 4) was literally 1 foot by 1 foot. Our server was terrible, she didn't do anything. Someone else got us our drinks and brought us our food. All she did was take our order. I could go to marietta diner and get better food and better service for the same price.

One of my favorite breakfast spots! I've been coming for years, and if its not anything that brings me back its the amazing COFFEE!!! I love it, and it's a bottomless cup. The service is always polite and is just a great brunch spot. I've never gone further than the breakfast foods, but the biscuits and gravy and J-Gritstophers are some of my favs. If your looking to save money and being simple, I get the plain ol' cakes and some coffee. Wonderful combo and the pancakes are some of the best that I can buy. I recommend to all!

There is not anything really special about J. Christopher. The food was good though nothing to completely rave about. I had the turkey and avocado skillet. The flavors meshed together well but the turkey was more cold cut turkey and not sliced turkey also the avocado was not really fresh. It seemed more like bagged avocado sauce. I tried the pancakes and wasn't wowed either. They were edible but not delicious. While sitting there I had the feeling that I was sitting in a Waffle House or IHOP. As a self proclaimed Breakfast Beast, I don't think I would get up super early on a Saturday to head to this place but if I was meeting co-workers for a pre-workday breakfast, it's a great choice.

Excellent place for breakfast and lunch. I used to work in a nearby office complex, and J Christopher's was a frequent go-to lunch spot. When I'm really hungry, I enjoy the Route 66, but my usual order is a custom egg white omelet - turkey, spinach, mushrooms, feta - with a side of fruit and a grilled English muffin. The bright and open space is clean, and it's easy to secure a table during peak times. Service is friendly and generally efficient, and the coffee is good and strong.

They should do better than this. I mean, look at the pictures posted on the site. They look delicious. But why do they taste worse than IHOP and charge twice as much? I ate at a J. Christopher's about five years ago and remembered not liking it. Finally, after five years, I decided to give it another chance. Boy, I made a big mistake. First, the good points: They had great service. We had about 30 people in the room, and they did an efficient job serving us. They also had good, friendly attitude even when dealing with a large group of people. Now to talk about their overrated food: I ordered the Just Bubba. It consisted of fresh-baked buttermilk biscuit smothered in sausage gravy served with Cheddar scrambled eggs and oven-roasted potatoes. Man, doesn't that sound good? Well, when you taste it, it disappoints. The sausage gravy tasted very salty. The saltiness completely overpowered everything on the plate. I think they did that because everything on the plate tasted super bland. I felt like I ate bland biscuits, overcooked potatoes, badly made eggs, and salt. The buttermilk biscuits seemed like it didn't have any butter. It tasted stale. The eggs didn't stick out my mind too much because of its ordinariness. On top of that, I felt I overpaid for what I ate. They do charge more than your typical breakfast place, so watch out I think J. Christopher's wants to make their restaurants have a high-class atmosphere since they charge so much, but they fail on that concept. It doesn't feel high class with their low-class food. Their atmosphere feels like Denny's. You just get below average food for its high costs. Just save yourself the trouble (and money) and go to Waffle House, IHOP, Cracker Barrel, The Original Pancake House, Flying Biscuit, or other breakfast-oriented places. They all beat J. Christopher's on value and/or taste.

What Breakfast/Brunch should be all about. I repeat--in unison, what Breakfast/Brunch should be all about. Will definitely have to say is a top 5 brunch spot in the Metro ATL. Plenty of private parking in the plaza where the Wing Zone & MicroCenter is located. No valet - woo hoo! Ok the service was very efficient, attentive, polite, sweet and almost had a southern charm feel to it - so that's a major uber plus on that alone. Ordered the Eggs Benedict. I'm not a big Eggs Benedict fan, haven't had it in a while. Not a pro reviewer of it but what I has was simply DELICIOUS! Very on point. Chased with the potatoes. Only Jack's deli's breakfast potatoes are better on the north side of I-20 but I will say J Christopher's is a number two. The turkey bacon and sausage was cooked right on point. Pancakes are huge, made from scratch and very filling. Follow that down with an avalanche of orange juice or Arnold Palmer's refreshing drink and you have a tremendous start to your day. To J Christopher's - I am now a fan of you! Grade: B

Whenever I think of J Christopher's, I remember my friend randomly getting stung by a bee inside the actual restaurant... other than that... It's a standard brunch spot. Satisfying food at a reasonable price. Their pancakes are really good and their portions are big as well. The menu is really safe and has a variety of choices to choose from that would appease any picky eater. Service is excellent as well.

OK, I am in from out of town visiting my brother. It is breakfast so he says that he has heard good things and also seen the long lines on the weekends, so we give it a try as I am always up for new places. I order the the San Bernadino Omelet with cheese grits. He orders the Chicken crepes. Neither plate seems like a value for the price. My omelet was overcooked as the edges were brown. This is not acceptable for a breakfast place. The grits were bland, as I was expecting something more. He and I both don't see the appeal. Save yourself some time and $20 + for breakfast for 2.

They served burnt raisin bread and when I co planned they asked if it was a little too well done. Potatoes were not cooked all the way through. But the burnt bread really pissed me off because the kitchen sent the burnt side on the bottom, hoping I wouldn't notice. They did take it off the bill though. Disappointed because I had heard good things about the food. Will not be visiting this place Again.

Just ate here this morning. Food was very good, wait staff very friendly and courteous. We did have about a 5 minute wait between visits from our waitress making checking out slow. I had to ask another waiter to get our waitress so we could leave.

I have been to several J. Christophers, never quiet dissapointed, but something is always...lacking. Which never happens at this location. I'm not quiet sure if its the location or what, but I always feel at home here. Right in the square of Marietta, walking distance for all the little shops. I am at home. : - ) Egg's Christopher used to be my favorite, but since switching over to vegetarian-isim I go all the way with Billy Goat This one tops the charts! Marinated and grilled portabella mushrooms are added to fresh spinach, roasted red peppers and topped with Goat cheese. Mmm, my mouth is watering & yours should be too. Give this location a try. I love it! : - )
