I really liked this place. The food is great and fresh. The salad and garlic rolls rock! I haven't tried their pizza yet, maybe next time. The prices are very affordable and the service is also great. The desserts look really good and homemade, but I haven't had those yet either. I would recommend Frankie's to anyone visiting the Marietta area.

Absolutely my favorite Italian restaurant. I come here often, and every year for my birthday. The staff is very courteous and friendly, and remember faces well. They're quick and rarely get the orders wrong. The food is great, too. Reasonably priced for good food and lots of options. The atmosphere is very cozy, too, a great place for dates. Casual dress but classic feel to the place. I definitely recommend it!

We decided to come for lunch with coworkers. This restaurant is located off of Canton Road. The interior was very dark and not well lit at all, maybe kept this way so you can't really see the food well. I had the baked ziti lunch special and it was alright, nothing special. The bread was soaked in oil and garlic. Everything was kind of sloppy in my opinion from the food to the service.

We were excited to come for dinner, and we had purchased a Restaurant.com certificate. After our second round of drinks, we were told that our certificate was not good on alcohol, even though it did not state that on the certificate. This is a total scam! Beware if you purchase a Restaurant.com certificate that is for food only, even though it doesn't specify that. The service and food are good! Just a word of caution to you foodies out there!

Well....it was open on Labor Day. Italian wedding soup was canned(they did throw in some fresh spinach to dress it up), pizza was ok, salad was ok, garlic knots were above average and the service was pleasant but a little slow. Just not fresh enough in terms of the ingredients for my taste.

Frankie's is downhome Italian cooking in Marietta off Canton Road. It's a quaint family-owned business that is very easy to miss while driving there. I tried some type of ground beef canneloni that was topped with marinara and smothered in mozzarella. It was accompanied by a side salad and a couple garlic rolls. The rolls were definitely the highlight and came drenched in garlic and parmesan. The salad was pretty pathetic looking and only had a couple slices of tomato with some old-looking lettuce. The entree was pretty flavorful but a little juicy. It was tasty, but I don't particularly like to eat juicy food unless it's an orange or something lol The restaurant has ample space and parking and includes a bar near the entrance. Would I go here again? Probably not, but I've had much worse.

Awwwww...yes, Frankies. So I was introduced to Frankies via recommendation from someone that cited this place as the closest thing she had to NYC pizza. When a New Yorker says this, you have to respect them. So I did, and I went to check Frankies out. I have to admit, Frankies has some damn good pizza. The breadsticks are pretty good too. It's definitely one of those older type Italian joints that looks like your in one of those old school movies. The service both times that I have went has been pretty good. I actually enjoy the spot. The ingredients are plentiful and fresh, and its priced pretty inexpenisvely if you want to go the economical route. The best pizza in Marietta/Smyrna? Nope, but damn good...worth checking out...

Went here on a whim looking for something new. Its a small place and we almost drive by it but it has the feel of a NJ-esque restaurant to it. We stopped in and had some of the dishes on special but the bread/rolls were phenomenal and our dishes were good as well. Im from an Italian family so I tend to be a bit harder on Italian places but this one was pretty dang good. I need to go back for a sampling of their other dishes but I would look forward to it!

Very Disappointed, I hadn't been to Frankie's in a long time and my husband had never been. We got a coupon in the mail so we decided to go. I don't know what happened to this place. We left early because i was expecting a wait on Sunday night like it always was years ago but it was quiet except for one large party. That should have been the first sign that the place was not as good as it used to be. Server was nice but a little timid, but if I had a boss like that I would be too. We ordered our food, it was ok, not great, you can tell they cut alot of corners since the old days. At the end of the meal they wouldn't except the buy one get one free dinner coupon saying my husbands pizza didn't count as an entree and that the coupon excluded pizza (which it did not say). How ever the real problem wasn't the coupon it was the way the owner handled situation. No smile, no apology, no customer service whatever, we really are reasonable people and this could have been smoothed over if she were nice at all. She was actually kind of rude. We let her know we wouldn't be back and she clearly could care less. Then she yelled at the poor server. Save your money for a place that wants your business and treats their staff right.

Great food always... fantastic salads, and the fried artichoke hearts with aioli sauce are to die for! Been going there for years and no surprises yet!

Frankie's is a nice little standard Italian joint offering traditional dishes in a casual setting. Like other places of its ilk, they give you free garlic rolls and salad before the meal. Their garlic rolls are particularly ridiculous: I wouldn't mind eating them all day everyday. I've tried a number of different entrees here over the years and been pretty happy with them all. Their pizza is large and hearty, if mostly traditional in its make. As with other places, I often get the veal, and I would recommend it to most anyone who digs on the meat. I agree with Jessica N., it feels very homey here. You can relax, but it still has the air of a nice restaurant. A perfect mix of classical Italian and comfortable decor. I tend to avoid places named after people (Joey's, Johnny's, Ricky's, Ted's) because I am dumb. Frankie's is off that chain.

Until I moved down to Mableton and discovered La Pasta Bella, Frankie's was my favorite Italian restaurant in Cobb. I still love going there when I'm in the area, and drag people over there whenever I get the chance. It's a smaller restaurant and feels rather homey to me, part of the reason I like it. The wait staff has been friendly and helpful at every visit. They have, I think, the best dinner rolls ever. The garlic butter sauce they're covered in probably isn't good for me, but they are so, so very yummy! At least once I've gone to Frankie's just to order the dinner rolls and salad that come with the entrees. I've tried many of their dishes and pizzas over the years and I haven't found one I don't like. Their entrees are large, but not hugely portioned. The prices are reasonable, the food is excellent, and they have a mean tira misu. I can't wait until I'm up in that part of town again to stop in.

Btw, is it possible to rate 'zero' stars? Maybe some negative symbols. Or maybe use some of the sticker stars from kindergarten that none of the other kids wanted.

A solid, but not awesome restaurant. Decent food, decent service, and decent prices all combine for a good, but not great experience. In short - its well worth eating at if you are in the area, but not worth driving out of your way to reach. Unless you get a hankering for their garlic rolls - those are top notch.

Frankie's is an above-average family style Italian restaurant. It would not get 4 stars in New York, but Marietta ain't New York. My family and I don't live anywhere near Frankie's but if we are in the neighborhood and sometimes even if we are not, we'll stop in. The pizza is well above average for Atlanta and the entrees are usually good as well. If you are looking for a reasonably priced, tasty, Italian-style family meal, you can't go wrong.

I haven't been there before.. so decided to try out a coupon. We were told right before the food was delivered that we could not use the coupon. We decided to only take one dish and split it since we were not able to use the coupon. The food was decent if you love Olive Garden, it's hardly real Italian food. (If you like oversized servings and mountains of cheese then order takeout only) So for splitting the dish.. they charged us 5.95 for a side salad- an extra plate charge and even though we did not like the tea( was bitter ),and asked the server to have it taken off, we were charged for it anyway. It was way over priced. 6 or 7.00 for 2 teas. They only have saccharine as sweetener. The manager avoided our table after we asked to speak to her, and seemed to try to get the most cash out of us, rather than a repeat customer. She never came to the table, and had the poor server field our questions and concerns. I did not pay for the tea, and wrote the server a check for her tip. The server was so upset, she offered to pay for our meal just to get us to not upset the manager who was apparently taking it out on her entire staff. I will NEVER return to this establishment, or any other Frankie's. EVER. Here it is! Awful New York City push-and-shove mentality right here on Canton Road. If you like to be treated like crap, then head on over!

Just left Frankie's and I am so sad to say I will not return. The place has such an old time charm (good date charm), but their food has changed and NOT for the better. My wife and I use to visit this establishment when we were dating quite a bit.... But something has gone terribly wrong. We spent the dinner trying to analyze the food. We are under the impression that some management had to change or the owner just doesn't care anymore! Let's start with the sauce! Over spiced and from a can sauce!!!! The only thing I could say about it was YUCK, need a mint and have to brush my teeth! As for the cheese I feel my wife said it best.... It looked like the cheese for one of those cheap pizzas you buy from the frozen foods section at the grocery store and not the name brand ones! The cheese had a hard time melting together and was so very chewy. I am so very upset writing this review as Frankie's was my go to place for pizza! If you work for Frankie's I want answers!!!! How have you let things get so bad? You have few customers in on a Friday night! Wake up and change back to your old ingredients and your customers will return. Let me tell you the good... My waitress and the garlic rolls... That is it so management correct now before you do not have the opportunity to do so! So disappointed!

Reminds me of the local Italian food back home in Upstate NY. I have been here 5 or 6 times, so typically I enjoy my dinner. Yes, the elixir of buttery garlic sauce over the buns is enough to make a girl swoon. (Hey, don't judge me..) Tried the Rigatoni, chicken, and broccoli tonight. They were very accommodating, by honoring my request for extra garlic to be added to the dish. (Gotta keep the vampires away...) The dish was good, but the sauce of garlic, butter, etc, needed a little "oomph" of olive oil for thickness and taste.

The food is amazing and the delivery drivers are prompt and courteous (most times with the wrong order), but the service is HORRID. Tonight we received chicken piccata with spaghetti and marinara sauce. No angel hair on the piccata--just a side of spaghetti and marinara. When we called, we were told this is how they ALWAYS serve piccata. And the woman who claimed to be the manager was rude, yelled at us, and was completely unprofessional. When I left my number for the owner, she assured me that the owner would NOT call me back. Such a waste of $120.

You seriously can not go wrong with this place. There is so much variety on the menu that you could eat here every day for a month and not get tired of it. The food is amazing and the portions are generous. I love being able to make two meals out of one. Service is great as well! This Frankie's has been opened over 20 years which should tell you that they are doing something (everything, if you ask me) right! They even offer delivery now which is super convenient when my family and I don't feel like going out. There is no such thing as a perfect restaurant, but in my book Frankie's comes pretty close. I've never had a bad experience there. They even make their own salad dressing which is the best italian dressing I have ever had. I'm not much of a salad person but I definitely love taking advantage of their endless salad that comes with almost all of their dinners. (It's even worth paying extra for if it doesn't.) And please don't get me started on the garlic rolls. If you haven't dined here, you are missing out!

Something has changed. First visit in a year or so, but in the mood for pasta and had a coupon. Salad always good but had to remind our waiter. Our entree came out at the same time, so they offered to keep it warm so we could enjoy our salad. Garlic rolls are ok but appear to be the frozen ones. I ordered mushrooms added to my ziti but no mushrooms upon arrival. Gravy tastes like ketchup or canned and very salty. Not fresh. Cheese on top of ziti had corners so they may use sliced cheese. How amateur! Husband had pasta with sausage and peppers - happy. Service was nice but trying. Good place if you have a discount but for full rate, better can be found. Get back to the old Frankie's as quality has declined.

The place is pretty dated now. The quality and service has gone downhill. Not sure what happened since the last time we went, management or budget perhaps? We sent both of our meals back because they contained ingredients we don't eat and they were not disclosed on the menu. We ordered something else but then was told we would be charged extra for the salad and rolls my husband ate because his new meal didn't come with those sides. Seriously? We cancelled our next order and paid $12 for a salad and 5 rolls. The salad was bagged. The original dishes looked like they used frozen vegetables. Nothing looked fresh. No manager came by to ask why we sent back our food. It's not like they were busy. I saw maybe 2 other tables. Not going back. Place needs a facelift. Would not recommend unless you want to pay for bagged salad and over baked bread.

Frankie's reminds me of the Italian restaurants I grew up with in Brooklyn. It's not the best game in town -- but it's fine for a casual dinner out. (Vintage Sinatra and Dean Martin background music is a good touch.) Meals come complete with delicious garlic rolls and ordinary iceberg salad. The restaurant offers no flexibility with pasta that accompanies one's meal: spaghetti with tomato sauce. That's it. (Once I asked for butter instead of the sauce, and they charged 95 cents. Now I know to ask for my spaghetti plain -- which I top off with the garlic butter from the rolls!) T and I have our go-to dishes: Me: chicken saltimbocca with spinach, prosciotto and mozerella T: chicken rollatini with mozerella, ham and marsala sauce Some posters claim the restaurant isn't as good as it was. There may be truth to that, but all in all Frankie's is a decent neighborhood spot.

Came here last week with my girl to enjoy some good Italian food. It's been years since I frequented this place so decided to see what the buzz was about. Came in and got seated instantly. The environment was nice, quiet, clean. Nothing fancy however it felt homey. Food: We ordered the Sausage + pepper pasta and my love ordered the pesto pasta. The garlic bread that came with it was AMAZING. We are two baskets worth and even decided to take them home. The pasta dishes were fresh, large in size, and cooked perfectly. This place one-ups any olive garden chain. Prices were very reasonable. Our server, Sunny, is the reason I went from 4 up to 5 stars. I've done customer service for 10+ years and I have never felt so accommodated in any restaurant. He was always topping our waters, coming back at intervals to check in, and you can clearly tell his passion was to make sure our dinner was perfect. When asking for the to-go boxes, he packaged them for us. While watching him do so, he meticulously wiped excess sauce off the box, put extra napkins, and placed a new box of fresh rolls in. The reason I'm detailing this little stuff is because this is a KEY example of how to get guys like me (who can choose from 10+ Italian places), to come back to Frankies. Needless to say, I took very good care of him for his great service! The overall experience was fantastic, will def be back!!

I am moving to Marietta (traveling in between GA and DC lately), and literally every single time I visit Marietta I got to Frankie's with my fiance and his parents. The food is fantastic, as is the value. Endless salad and rolls come with any lunch entree (all below $10), and the rolls are seriously more addictive than crack - essentially garlic knots with liquid butter and garlic poured over them. I always get the spaghetti marina with meatballs and my fiance gets the meat (sausage?) calzone. Food is consistently great and plenty of leftovers. They'll also give you to-go sodas. (I am currently thin. Upon contemplation, this may change with Frankie's soon-to-be 100% accessibility). However, I have to say that this place isn't your fancy Italian joint. You can easily find coupons for them (a buy one, get one lunch, so long as you get drinks too), and you could come here after a gym visit and not feel out of place. So if you are looking for a place with "class" (it does have ambience, very cozy and warmly decorated), Frankie's isn't the spot for you.

Dining in is usually a pleasure. Although I am not a fan of their bagged lettuce salad. However, take-out is a different story. When I pay over $50 for a small pizza, cheese sticks and two pasta dishes, I at a minimum expect it to be luke warm. Well, it was cold and they forgot our pizza which was cold by the time we got it. All of it was like eating day old leftovers.

We went here for a friends Birthday dinner. I was annoyed within the first 2 minutes considering I was turned down for 3 adult beverages. Seriously, who doesn't have the makings of a gimlet behind the bar? I thumbed anxiously through the menu trying to find a pasta dish that would encourage me to stay and suddenly, the clouds parted and angels sang. A warm bowl of garlic rolls was placed in front of me. Forget the drinks, I was pondering on how to drink the buttery garlic mix. Not only was each roll perfectly baked but they were drowning in butter, parmesan and small slices of garlic. The special for the evening was buy 2 entrees get a free app and we ended up getting quite a few of them. Stuffed mushrooms, fresh mozzarella, artichokes, calamari, and Italian wedding soup. I was stuffed on garlic bread and apps before my dinner arrived. I ordered the chicken fettucini, knowing I wouldn't eat it, but it made a great lunch the next day. Not only did we get the apps but we were served an over sized salad and more rolls. I love finding those little places that locals rave about but are off the beaten path. I can't wait to go back again!

Has been better. Is getting to be a redneck EYE-talian joint. Loud, smelly and service has been a lot better. Pizza is still good enough, but if you travel there's better. Ordered a Cesar salad, mine came without anchovies. Asked if they had, and if so, please bring for my salad. Waiter disappeared and came back 30 seconds later and stated if I wanted them, it would be another $5. 'cuse me...look up the formula for Cesar Salad...anchovies are the main point! Without its just a wimpy salad. Waiter couldn't be found a couple of times...guess ticked we only ordered waters. Oh well, will find a new place to go when on way to a movie. Hope they get better again. Oh, and clean the freakin' place would you, MANAGERS...your place is smelly & dirty. Rug looks as old and stained as any ever seen. A nasty, dirty environment makes me question quality of the food.

I went here with 2 families so total, we had 5 adults and 4 kids. The service was great, very accommodating with all the kids, ages 2.5 to 9 years. I would give the service 4 starts and the food was just ok so a 2 stars, which averages to 3 stars for this review. Garlic rolls were offered but 1 basket at a time and with 9 people, we constantly had to ask for more, which again, the server was very accommodating. The garlic rolls had chunks of garlic and plenty of butter. Everyone seemed to like their food. I noticed the portions were not huge. For my dinner, I decided to go with the mussels appetizers and a salad. I was expecting a bowl of mussels with spicy sauce. Instead the mussels were on half shelves and laid out on a platter over a bed of red sauce. The mussels were a bit overcooked so it was chewy. Had it not been, it would been a very tasty dish. It was a good portion so I was full with my salad and plenty of garlic rolls. Compared this to other local Italian restaurants like Scalini's, I'd have to say Scalini's is way better.

This is my favorite little Mom and Pop Italian Restaurant. The service isn't always up to par but the food is absolutely wonderful! I usually get the Baked Ravioli or the Tortellini a la Panna, both are extremely delicious. Their red sauce is rich and flavorful with chunks of tomatoes and their Alfredo is made to order. How do I know? Because I can never finish my entire entree, so I take it home for lunch the next day, and I reheat it, the butter separates from the cream. To some, this may sound terrible, but to me, it is a sign of quality. I have read in other reviews about the staff and I can agree with most. There are two servers there that I really enjoy, one is Jasmine and the other is, I believe his name is, Sonny. They are very attentive and prompt with fulfilling your requests. They always have a smile on their face too. I believe the owner is the manager that I have seen on most occasions I dine here, and yes, she could be more friendly and exude a better customer service attitude. Dropping menus at a table and walking off before diners can even be seated sends a message of "Get them in, Get them out" to me. But as I had said before. The food is delicious, Jasmine and Sonny are fantastic, and the entrees are plentiful enough to take home for lunch the next day.

Silly us, we waited until 8 o'clock on a Saturday night to go out for dinner. After driving up and down Canton Rd and seeing how busy and packed the restaurants were we decided on trying Frankie's. We were seated immediately so that was really nice. I had their Chicken Rollitini that had a Marsala type sauce. It was watery and kind of bland. My husband had their Chicken Parmesan, which was really tasty. Every dish comes with a side of spaghetti which was nice too. Their salad however wasn't the freshest and the mushrooms in it were really gross looking- black and bruised, I didn't want to touch them. The salad had canned beets in it as well, which I don't really like. The rest of the salad was just ok. It reminded me of Scalini's (Smyrna) salads. They also offered butter rolls, that were pretty mediocre. They're the same kind of yeast dinner rolls you get frozen from Walmart and they were covered in fake butter- the same kind you get served with crab legs, ick. The service was good overall. I'm not sure if I'd come back again. But if you sign up for their texts (which they send fairly often- you've been warned!) they offer a lot of same day specials like buy one regular entree, get one free, stuff like that. I'll be sure to use one of those text offers if I do decide to come back.

This place has the best eggplant parmesan I've had in a long time. Thinly sliced and breaded just right. The decor is dated and a bit shabby, but the food was great and our server was good. I will go back for the eggplant!

My 3 stars is based on Pizza alone, as it is all I have ever had...but - it IS great. Very close to a true NY style pie (thin crust / whole milk mozz). Very tasty!

When we moved into our house our next door neighbor brought us over a very cute welcome card and a gift card to this place. She had already bought it without ever meeting us. We finally got around to going to this place and I have to say yum yum! I got the dish with prosciutto and the hubby went for his bar setting eggplant parmesan. Both dishes were great and the portions were huge. A theme down here is butter garlic soaked bread (which may be why I can always only eat a few bites of my actual entree). I am a sucker for garlic and bread put those together and TROUBLE! Our waitress was super nice and very personable. The food was good and there is ALWAYS a coupon for this place so be sure to check out the mailers before you go so you can bring a coupon. Not bad for being right around the corner from the house.

So you may want the endless salad and garlic rolls but if you are a thin pizza afficinado then get the vegetarian with added sausage. I know this sounds odd but... it is so much like the pizza we have in Italy that I and transported back to Lago Majore with no travel costs. If I were to improve on this I would use bulk sausage rather than those little disks of sausage but.... I will survive with disks if I have to. We ask for "thin" crust so they know to actually make it thin. Don't miss the treat.

Frankie's is indeed one of the better Italian restaurants in the Marietta. Not to mention the prices are no where near as ridiculous as some of the other Italian restaurants in the Atlanta area that force you to tap into your savings account. The appearance of Frankie's on the outside of the restaurant does not really reveal the locally owned Italian restaurant flavor that is presented to the customer upon walking through the glass doors at the entrance. When I did enter Frankie's, the first thing I saw was the rotating cake display that, from the looks of it, was showcasing a tasty lemon cake. The inside is adorned with Italian decor, from the pictures hanging on the wall to the glass statues of the the Italian cooks. The music added to the Italian flavor of the place since almost every song was performed in Italian. The food of course was the best part of the entire night. I had a pretty tough time deciding what I wanted because of the extensive selections the menu offered, all of which sounded delicious. I finally decided to go with their fettuccine carbonara topped with chicken; however, for about 10 minutes the carbonara was in a first place tie with their lobster ravioli, which the menu described as ravioli stuffed with Lobster in a delicate pink sauce....yeah had my mouth watering too, but it was little expensive for my college student budget. Overall, the food was really good. The complimentary garlic rolls and salad that they give you at the beginning of the meal are almost better than the meal itself. The wait staff was a little slack this particular night, but I think they were about to close when I was eating my meal. The atmosphere is nice, but not too nice where you would not fit in wearing my personal favorite wardrobe choice: jeans, a t-shirt and a ball-cap.

Service was good and food came out fast (although we did eat at 4:30, so there weren't many people there). Started with the salad and rolls, which were great. We ordered the dressing and butter on the side, which is definitely the way to go, as otherwise your salad and rolls will be more like soup. I loved the chick peas, beets, and fresh mushrooms in the salad, but it would be better if they used something other than iceburg lettuce. Then we got a large vegetarian pizza, which was huge, crispy-crusted, and loaded with toppings. Their sauce is nice; it's salty, not sweet. The grand finale was the tiramisu, which was incredible. Overall, I thought this place was great for casual Italian. It seemed a little expensive, but portions are big.

Best Italian in west Cobb! I hope they keep the same cooks for as long as possible, because the food here is consistently excellent. We order their veal Sicilian, veal parm, chicken parm, pizza, and calamari. The food here is always TASTY and not bland and crying for seasoning like some other restaurants. It's delicious every time--as you would expect if you're going out and paying for food. Their prices are very reasonable and for the quality it's worth the extra drive out of the way to me. [Btw, Beware of fake owner planted reviews for some OTHER West Cobb Italian restaurants (V...'s), I've busted V's overzealous owners myself for a few that they clearly posted. Can't stand when business owners do that sort of thing.]

Big disappointment! Started with the waitress giving the wrong drinks to my family. No biggee, we'll just trade. WE asked for rolls before we ordered because we were so hungry and with blood sugar issues, a roll would help stop the shakiness. The waitress asked if we were going to order an entree because you only get rolls if you order one. WHAT! They used to always bring out rolls and never asked what you were eating!!!! Then, we started placing our order. We were celebrating my mother's 77th birthday and she wanted to order the stuffed mushroom off of the appetizer menu and then an italian sausage on the side. We were used to getting that big bowl of salad that we all share so I told her she didn't need to order one, she could have some of mine. The waitress purposely came out with individual bowls of salad for me and my daughter. WE looked at the table next to us. Two people sitting there with a huge bowl of salad! Why didn't my daughter and I get a big bowl to share!!! Becauser they are too cheap and was afraid that my mother would eat some of it!!! I can't believe it! my mother finally lost it and went off on the waitress asking her if there was a problem that we weren't entitled to rolls and salad like everyone else! Needless to say, we will not be back. They charged me for a salad for my mom and because we asked for more rolls, charged for the rolls too/!!! Unbelievabler!

Frankie's is definitly one of the better Italian restaurants in the Atlanta Metro area. My family has been going to Frankie's for years, and hands down would take Frankie's over any other Italian restaurant/ chain any day not to mention that its family owned. The rolls that come complimentary are delectable although the salad in my opinion reminds me of Olive Gardens. I can sometimes be picky when it comes to salads and my dressings so I wouldnt say its anything extraordinary, but it still hits the spot. All of their food is fresh, and is quality. If you've never been here, GOOOOOOOOO! ( Also: If you've never had the Chicken Parmesagna, GET IT and try it with the fett. You can thank me later! )

We've been coming to Frankie's for years. The first time was when we first moved here back in 1997. They are always consistent. Their veal parm is a fan favorite. Last time we went I had the veal francese and it was incredible. We haven't had their pizza in a long time but it was really good from what I remember. There used to be one in Woodstock. It was ok but this one is the original and great.

DELICOUS!!! Their rolls are amazing and the tortellini alla panna has to be the most delicious thing on the menu!

Best New York style pizza in the area. Crust has lots of flavor. Chicken parm is awesome. Not a big fan of the rolls, would prefer a good Italian or sour dough bread with more texture and crusty surface.

Frankie's, what to say about Frankie's. It's sooooo good! Everything we ordered was fantastic, the garlic rolls are soft and tasty! And a good tip is that they deliver! Grub Hub has the full menu.

Below average Italian food.... The pizza isn't bad. They have a "full" bar, but didn't have a lot of options at all.

Stopped in for the first time looking for a tasty Italian style salad with a robust Italian dressing. Stepped up to the cozy little bar and decided to order a Bloody Mary while waiting- truth be told it was the worst I have EVER had - should've known as they weren't sure if they had mix. The salad- let me just say I would have saved money and enjoyed it better if I would have just stopped at Kroger and picked up a bottle of my favorite dressing to go with it. The salad had mushrooms :( and definitely was not freshly prepared. BIG disappointment!!!! I figure if they can't make a fresh salad or cocktail- the rest is probably going to be less than impressive. Will never go back

We love Frankies! The food, anyway. The service is usually less than desireable, but it's usually prompt. I'm not there to make a friend with a waiter, so it's ok with me. Just serve it promptly & move along pal! Anyway, the veal gorgonzola is TO DIE for. It ends up being two meals for me, as I find it impossible to eat it all at one sitting. The garlic rolls are served in a bowl hot & swimming in chunky garlic & butter. I like the bottomless salad bowl. The atmosphere is definitely nothing to write home about, but like I said...the food makes it worth the trip!

I have been to this frankies quite a few times. The food is decent, I normally get the tortellini and my husband loves the veal francese. The garlic rolls are yummy. The pizza is ok, a little bland but ok. The waitstaff has always been friendly. Its not expensive and they always have coupons in the mail. I would recommend.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations.
