New place, but destined to last. Not just a basic ice cream shop. Tons of homemade and hand-scooped flavors (ok, not tons, but dozens) of ice cream, dozens of flavors of water ice (think Italian Ice) and even soft serve ice cream and frozen yogurt. Clean store, great tasting treats, friendly service and decent prices. If you're anywhere close (Cherokee or Cobb counties for sure), its worth the drive! Two negatives I noticed were a lack if inside seating (there are tables and chairs available outside on the sidewalk) and I did not see any public restroom(s). The positives definitely outweigh the negatives. Stay tuned!

Worst place, it is not even 8:30 but they decided to close because we were in a van with kids. Do not spend your money here. Thanks for ruining a 10 year old birthday for a lovely girl.

I would rather Ferdy's offer fewer flavors with better quality ice cream, and more distinct taste. If I didn't know I was eating pistachio, I would have been hard pressed to guess the flavor of my cone. I thought this could be my neighborhood go-to place ..... but I may be better off buying a pint of Ben & Jerry's, and scooping it out at home. I don't think Ferdy's is bad; it just can be so much better! April 2014 Update: Maybe ice cream isn't their thing! Maybe it's ices. (I did hear that the owner was affiliated with the now-defunct Rita's, which specialized in Italian ice.) My estimation of the ices: 3 stars. The chocolate was pretty good, the vanilla, not bad, lemon: did they give me lemon, as I requested? Indistinguishable taste. Portions are pretty big. With eyes bigger than my stomach, I ordered a medium, but small would have been plenty.

Ice cream is good. Lots of flavors. But service when I went was indifferent and not very helpful. I asked if something had peanuts and she said "I don't think so." I would hope they'd know what's in the ice cream.

I've cream in this shop is made fresh daily and is great! I had caramel turtle and sea salt caramel and they were both delicious! They also have Italian ice, yogurt, and looks like they will be serving Nathan's hotdogs in the near future. Recommend this place!

We went an checked this place out last night. It's ok and we had a nice time but I wasn't overly impressed. I guess some of the flavors are homemade but I got 2 scoops of different flavors, both had some ice crystals in them like they were with store bought or had been sitting around a long time. The ice cream was still good just not at those prices for the quality. Brewster's is better and is the quality I expect when I spend that kind of money on ice cream. However my husband did like his so much he couldn't hardly wait to take the kids back 2 days later.
