    While the pizza is pricey, their gluten free pizza is the best in Atlanta! No cracker crust here, it is thick and delicious and I am so in love. The only complaint is that a few times I have called and asked for a small and then they call me back a few minutes later to tell me that they are all out.

    Might be fine for pizza, dunno, but I do know the chicken parm I was served tasted like a microwaved dishrag. Tough and basically unseasoned, it arrived on a bed of overcooked spaghetti and topped with an unremarkable canned marinara. The dinner salad was remarkable -- for consisting of roughly 58,574 croutons from a bag in a single bowl. Odd in that what iceberg lettuce there was was fresh and crunchy, the other veggies OK. But man, that Wall-O-Crouton. Have to believe they could delete this dish and no one would miss it.

    Heard about this place from a fellow Chicagoans... OMG!!! It was awesome. Sunday is free upgrade day and let me tell you - it's worth it for sure. The taste was delicious, numerous toppings, good service and great sodas. Those fountain drinks were just the right amount of bubble.... I will be back for sure.

    My boyfriend is from Chicago and just like every other review says, would NOT shut up about this pizza. I live downtown but when I visit my parents up that way he begged me to stop and pick up a pie. I'm not gonna lie, he gets some brownie points for introducing me to Aurelio's. The pizza is great---it's not fancy it's not a chain (well sort of a chain)--it's just a really really good pizza. I've always done the thin crust which is their specialty and is cooked perfectly ( but they even ASK you your cooked preference). I always do carry out since I live so far away except for once and the servers were nice and personable. I wish I lived closer to try more items, but for now the pizza is more than satisfying. Thank you Aurelio's! Also saw signs for a new buffet on weekdays---I'd call about details but I'd be all over it again if I lived closer!

    Having grown up in Chicago I'm a pizza snob, so I was skeptical. But this is the real deal, just how I remember it back home! All other pizza places I've tried 4 stars or higher in Atlanta so far have not been good. Can't believe that they are averaging below 4 stars right now. I have not dined in the restaurant at this location so can't comment there, but people comparing this pizza to Papa John's or frozen...give and me a break. I will gladly pay more and travel out of my way to make this my new regular pizza joint.

    As an Illinois native, discovering that there was an Aurelio's in GA was awesome news. Whats even better is that is tastes exactly like the one we always ate at back home. Best Pizza Ever!! DA BEARS!!

    Aurelio's is a great little pizza establishment that serves Chicago-style pies. Now sadly I've never made my way up to Chicago to try the pizza up there, so I can't comment on the authenticity of it all. But I can say, with confidence, is that the pizza is quite good. The location is in close proximity to my job, so it has been takeout for me every time. Although my experience with their dine-in service is limited, my carryout visits have been wonderful! Pizza is often ordered for a few co-workers, so the characteristics of our pizzas are borderline ridiculous. However, everyone I've met behind the counter has been nothing but patient and considerate, taking the time to get our orders right. Given the downright weird combinations of pizzas we've order so far, I've had the chance to taste many of their toppings and sauce. I've personally never been disappointed, and from the rate at which my co-workers consume their slices, I take it they haven't been either. Pies are always thin crust and cut into rectangles, a nice break from the V-shaped slices so common here. I personally enjoy the chicken barbeque pizza, while others tend to gravitate towards pineapple and Italian sausage with traditional sauce. If there is one thing you should be warned about, it is the copious amounts of sauce that often spills out wherever it can when you take a bite. Whatever you do, make sure to have a napkin and/or plate below before exerting a high amount of pressure on your slice, or you could end up like me with sauce on your jeans! Overall, Aurelio's has satisfied the seemingly random pizza cravings of me and my fellow co-workers. The pizza is consistently good and a friendly, welcoming staff makes this restaurant highly recommended.

    Rare family dinner out turned out to be a disappointing experience. The restaurant is clean and well lit. Our server was polite and attentive. The pizza leaves much to be desired. We ordered two pizzas - one 1/2 cheese 1/2 pepperoni the second mushroom, onion, green pepper. Neither was very flavorful. Both had far too much sauce for what we like. The crust does not taste like pizza dough to me. The cheese/pepperoni pizza had cheddar cheese which neither child liked. The cheese on the veggie pizza was just off. I am not a mozzarella expert but it just did not taste or "feel" right. For $45 - garlic bread, med. pizza, small pizza and water, we definitely will not pick this place for pizza again.

    My co-workers and I went over for lunch and we order the personal size pizza. Instantly we noticed there was a smell coming off of the pizza and when we opened up the box the top of the pizza had a pool of grease and the crust was soggy we were grossed out. We ended up only eating 1/4 and couldn't eat anymore. That was the first and last time going there. By the way I'm from Indiana and go to Chicago all the time and this is nothing like the Chicago pizza I'm familiar with. Try AGAIN!

    Being a Chicago transplant about to hit my one year anniversary in Atlanta, we visit Aurelio's on a regular basis. My Father lives in Flossmoor/Homewood where Aurelio's originates. Everything is EXACTLY the same. When we are having a craving for REAL pizza, we go to Aurelio's. We alternate between the thin crust and the stuffed pizza. Their stuffed pizza is not like a typical Chicago stuffed, but their sauce is so delicious to have more crust to take away from that is a crime. We always dine in because it's a nice reminder of home. Not to mention the people are always friendly and service is exceptional. My personal favorite is the stuffed pizza with sausage, spinach, and garlic. If we are doing the thin crust it will be sausage, onion, and garlic. I'm thankful for Aurelio's because moving out of state can be really hard when you've lived in such a great city your whole life. I would not be exaggerating if I said Aurelio's has made this transition for my husband and me much easier.

    The service was good. The friendly waiter served us promptly and checked on us regularly. The manager thanked us on the way out. The food was not so good. The Italian beef sandwich reminded me of a bad french dip roast beef sandwich. The dip was a little too salty and the beef was dry and bland. It was just this old roast beef meat packed into a bun. Waste of my money. They appear to fry their own chips and the chips were the best part of my meal. My date got a pizza and the sauce was too thin and salty and soaked into the crust of the pizza. This resulted in a mushy pizza where the toppings slide off the pizza into a messy pile when trying to pick up a slice. For the price and quality of the food I would have given this place a 1 star but the service was good so I am bumping the rating to a 2.

    Having grown up in Homewood IL, the home of the original Aurelio's. I was so excited to hear they were opening up in Marietta. My wife (who is not from Homewood) went there for dinner. I was not disappointed. It was like I was 10 years old again. We ordered a large thin crust with sausage and mushrooms. I always loved the way they cut their pizza, in squares not slices. My wife has heard me rave about Aurelio's for 20 years and said it can't be THAT good. Well after dinner she agreed it was the best pizza she's ever had. I don't go their for the deep dish or the pasta. There are better places for that. If you're looking for the best damn thin crust pizza in the world - This is it. Enjoy.

    I am originally from Chicago and have waited a long time for a good thin crust pizza to arrive in Atlanta. I have had enough New York Pizza's! This is real deal we order all three different types of their pizza's .The thin crust is crispy and cheeses, the thick is great with tons of sauce and cheese. The stuffed is another favorite we don't order it all the time due the cheese factor health issue but that is my husband favorite you cannot go wrong. It is our favorite place to go for a good pizza I have never been disappointed.

    If you want a quick meal with good service don't bother coming here. Took them 45 minutes to bring out 2 pizzas and both were not what we ordered! Amazing this place stays in business. The service is soooo slow even when the place is half empty. IT is too bad because my kids love this place. They especially love the Bosco Sticks. They also should buy those pizza stands for the middle of the table as this would make the meal much more enjoyable and free up much needed table space. They should think of expanding the menu a little and offer more italian dinner choices other than pizza.

    I worked at a family pizza restaurant for 2 years and have eaten at a few mid/upscale pizza chains (Godfather's, Uno's, etc) in the NE and in Chicago/Indianapolis as well as family-run places. I can say that if you want real Chicago-style pizza, this is where to go. It tastes different than what most NY/east coast folks like me are used to but what you are experiencing is not related to the quality but rather the difference between Chicago/NY styles. I love this place and would eat here more if it were closer to my house!

    We had heard rumors that there was a true Chicago pizza joint down in Georgia. So this weekend my fiance and I went in search of Aurelios. Having eaten at the Homewood/Flossmoor location many times in my youth up in Chicago, I was truly excited. I have lived in the North Georgia area now for 6 years and despite many claims of great pizza - Growing up in Chicago or New York kind of makes you a snob about such things. Im a pizza snob. I admit it. Georgia just doesnt know pizza. Let me tell you, from the time we walked in, and the time we left, it was like I was transported back in time. REAL Chicago Italian sausage. Wow. Just wow. After talking with whom I presume to be the owner/manager we discovered that they ship the ingredients down making it completely authentic. Will be going back often much to the chagrin of my waistline.

    We thought the pricing was high compared to similar pizza restaurants. Breadsticks were expensive and you only get 4 or 6 for $8. We were one of two couples in the place and it took forever to get our appetizer - 10 mins. The Bosco sticks you could tell were not made there - frozen. The pizza tasted good but was really cheesy.

    Chicago thin crust. Fantastic service - knew the menu, gave recommendations, friendly, and attentive without hovering. Nice interior. Large menu. Pizza was hot, cross cut in nice bite size pieces, crust was thin, crispy and not burnt. Quality toppings on pizza. Good music. We'll be back.

    Been in Atlanta 3 months -the wife tells me she found an Aurelio's less than 5 miles from the house. Now she's from the far NW suburbs of Chicago, had been to the Homewood original and liked it, but for me, Aurelio's is more than that. It brings back memories of post HS dances and Hockey games - Homewood Aurelio's was THE place. In a lot of ways, this location was even better - free refills on pop (Homewood charges) brighter, cleaner inside (but, for some strange reason, I miss the baby pictures) but enough about my walk down memory lane - lets get to the food! Fried mushrooms were great, and the pizza (go with the thin) had the great cheese blend I remember - they went a little easy on the sauce - which is probably good for this location, as the sauce has a unique sweet taste that I love, but I can see turning others off. Finding this location was like finding a little piece of home - see you every week or so Aurelio's!!!

    I am from the Chicago area and thus consider myself a bit of a pizza connoisseur. I moved to Atlanta a few years ago and while I can recognize the jackpot of amazing restaurants here, there is a shocking lack of great pizza. So I was thrilled when Aurelio's opened a location down here, and it tastes exactly the same! You don't need to get fancy - some antipasta salad and thin crust sausage pizza will knock your socks off. I love having a taste of home in Atlanta!

    My boyfriend met me for lunch at work and we decided to go to Aurellio's since it's walking distance away. When we got there, we let the waitress know that we only had an hour before I had to go back to work. There were only two other tables in the restaurant and one of them already had their food. We gave our drink orders and looked over the menu for a couple of minutes but the waitress never came back to get our order. We waited about 10 minutes before my boyfriend had to poke his head into the kitchen to get the waitress. (Keep in mind that we aren't the kind of people to do that and we were pretty embarrassed at having to do it.) After taking our order, we didn't see the waitress for another 45 minutes. I was already 10 minutes late for work and my boyfriend went to the kitchen to tell them we were leaving. The waitress then said our order was ready and put it in a to-go box for us. We got a large pizza with a couple of toppings and it alone cost us $30. The pizza was too hot to eat so I had to go back to work without eating. The staff was completely nonchalant about the entire situation and was not at all apologetic about the fact that we were there for almost an hour without being checked on. I've talked to my coworkers about my experience and all of them have had similar experiences. Later on when I got a chance to try the pizza, it was actually very good. I wish I would have had a chance to eat it in the middle of my 12 hour shift, but now I know that this is a place that I shouldn't go to sit down and eat at. In all, the food is great but the staff leaves much to be desired.

    I had high expectations of this place, and Aurelio's met them. Chicago-style pizza. Ain't nothin' wrong with that. Aurelio's provided speedy, efficient service on top of serving some really tasty food. We ordered two, small pizzas. One small pizza would have served the two of us just fine, but we had to do the taste-test thing, you see. First up was the sausage & mushroom thin crust pizza: Flavorful sausage with solid fennel. At least two types of cheese. My gf says it tastes exactly like she remembers the original Aurelio's serving it back in Homewood, IL. Then we had the stuffed mushroom & onion pizza. There is some sweetness to the sauce. But it was exactly as tasty and as filling as I thought it should be. As I said before, one pizza would have sufficed, and we ended up taking home two halves of pizza. Plus, they have root beer. Bottom line: Delicious. I'll be going back. Holler if you're coming with.

    Top notch pizza which is authentic to Chicago thin crust (yes, not all Chicago pizza is deep dish). They say that the secret is in the sauce, and they're right. You can't go wrong even getting extra sauce - something you may not have ever thought to order on a pizza before. This location has good service, consistent quality, and is family friendly.

    Authentic Chicago pizza! My boyfriend moved here from Chicago, and knew all the locations (including the original Homewood place). While Aurelio's has many locations, this is literally the only one in all of Georgia. Their pizza tastes just as amazing as it does 800+ miles away!

    New to East Cobb, we tried it once. We went early because our kids are little (ie. impatient), so the place was pretty empty pre-6:00. Waiter was attentive but food was slow despite the empty tables and the kids were not taking it well (we took several walks down the strip mall). Pizza, once arrived, was rather uninteresting in flavor. We'll keep looking for our East Cobb pizza spot. It's gotta be either fast, or tasty enough to wait for and this was neither.

    First let me give the caveat that I am not from Chicago, I am from New York. So not only do I not have the nostalgia for this location that those who grew up in Chicago do, but you can probably tell where this review is going. First: the photos that you can see here show that the pie is yellow, and it is extremely yellow because they use a blend of cheese that is predominantly American cheese, with just a bit of mozzarella . When the pie is placed before you, it has the aroma of a grilled cheese sandwich. Second: The sauce is way too sweet for any New Yorker's taste that has been weaned on pies with tomato sauce made from San Marzano tomatoes. Third: The crust is nothing to discuss, it is ordinary and not even a risen dough crust, It's more like a frozen pie shell when you're making a pie at home. The whole concoction is served on a wire rack that you know has been pulled through a conveyor belt oven like you have at Pizza Hut, not a regular brick or flat oven like you would see in the pizza parlor. All this being said, I actually did enjoy the version of "pizza " that Aurelio's served-- I just had to take the product on its own merits and not compare it with a real pizza pie. I can see how this establishment got its reputation as a family restaurant, and why people who grew up with it are nostalgic for this place . They have a good system and bring out the food in a prompt and courteous manner. The atmosphere is somewhat cozy, and is perfectly suited for large parties, and they have all of the family-style type of menu items that you could possibly want, but do not mistake this for a pizza parlor in any way, shape or form so that your expectations will not be disappointed.

    We ate here on Memorial Day, as they were about the only place open within a short drive of the house. Our experience was not what I would call positive, so the 3.5-star ratings don't really surprise me. When I think about neighborhood Italian restaurants, I remember the amazing food I used to have at Rocco's Pizza in Indialantic, FL and Provino's in Snellville, GA. Homemade dishes and great smells with cheesy, however authentic, decor and not much in the way of lighting. Free yeast rolls drenched in garlic butter and all. No such ambiance about this place; standard flourescent lights and corporate decorations adorned the walls. It makes me sad... We were seated immediately and the waitress kept pestering us for our order several times within the first few minutes. I finally explained that we'd never been there before and she replied, "Oh, most folks already know what they want when they sit down" and rushed off. Well, excuse me for being behind the curve. We didn't see here again for 15 minutes and when we finally placed our order, it took another 40 minutes for our food to arrive. The place wasn't packed by any means, but it did fill up more after we arrived; I can tell you that several groups who came in after us left before we did. The food was industrial strength at best. My half-order of (cold, by now) cheese ravioli came sans the promised meat sauce and was on par with the finest that Chef Boyardee ever put into a can. Actually, that's not true. It was bland and generic. I have fantastic memories of the Chef's canned delights from childhood. And half an order for $7 gets you exactly four pieces. Anyway...my girlfriend ordered the Calabrese, which is a fancy name for a calzone with spinach and two cheeses. It was the better of the two meals, but not all that impressive, especially at $12. We never got any bread (I discovered later that it's extra) and the caesar salads were just ordinary. I could have ordered this salad at a Wed. night church dinner and never known the difference. I was glad to be on my way after our brush with mediocrity. Needless to say, we won't be going back. PHHFFFTTTTHHH!

    Pizza is good but not outstanding or overly innovative. Thin crust was good as was the tomato sauce. All veggies are canned, not fresh. That gives a certain taste that some people like, but not me. I like my ingredients fresh. Salads were dreadful, especially the Caesar which had plenty of wilted lettuce and was mostly leaves and not hearts.

    This has been bugging me for some time, and it has nothing to do with the good pizza. Why must you physically have your "Aurelio's Card" to get credit for what your points you earn. It's not as much the $ you get back($10 gift card for every $200 you spend) it's more annoying and inconvenient that they wouldn't have a system for that . Although they tell you to hold on to your receipt and they will properly credit you, but who is actually holding on to that receipt. It's not just about the food(although helps) but the customer experience is extremely important.

    I really scared the crap out of my boyfriend when we drove by this strip mall and I saw the Aurelio's sign. "OMG you guys have one now?!?!?!" as I lean over to the window, my eyes huge with excitement. You see, I'm from Chicago and whenever I go home I HAVE to go to Aurelio's. The super salty cheesyness is like some cheap form of crack. Needless to say we ended up eating here shortly after this episode. Like, about 15 minutes later. The place is fairly small, but a good amount of seating. They also have an area for you to come in quick and carryout a pizza. Two flat screens were in the restaurant so it got a little rowdy in there with everyone cheering on the SF/NO game. A word on the staff: Our waitress came by only a couple times. Fortunately, another waitress noticed this so she got our drinks refilled for us...twice. Thank you other waitress! A word on the food: We got the thin crust half cheese half sausage pizza, and it was fantastic. I love the sweet sauce that they use. I also love that they have Pepsi products true to their origins (unlike a certain Nancy's here *ahem*). I want to come back and munch on some cheese sticks while I wait for a stuffed pizza to be made. Two of my Aurelio's favorites. Yummmm.

    The SO and I went to have dinner on a Friday night with another couple. It was a fine atmosphere to eat and catch-up while on a double date. Service: 2/5 Our waiter seemed a little spaced-out. Ex: Took a water cup away to refill it, and had to be asked where it was when they came back to the table. Once we were ready to get the check it was a while before they reappeared to help us. Food: 4/5 If you enjoy thin crust pizza, check this place out. I had the little taco pizza, and I'd say the flavors were well balances and it wasn't soggy under all the toppings as I've found many taco pizzas to be.

    I grew up on the original Aurelios in Homewood; at Ridge Rd until they moved to Harwood in 1977. My wife and I sorely missed Aurelio's after moving to Georgia in 1992 and were excited when the Marietta franchise opened in 2011. We make the trek from Jasper to East Cobb about once a month with my family and always go for the thin crust and extra sauce under the cheese. When most folks think of "Chicago Style" pizza, they think pan or stuffed. At Aurelio's the centerpiece is the unique Chicago Thin crust. Their offering of the Pan or Stuffed are both very good, and at some point in your Aurelio's journey you must also try their Calabrese - it is to DIE for! For those of you who go in expecting New York (you know who you are!), this is not some Chicago pizza joint trying to do a New York style pizza. This IS Pizza. This IS Chicago Thin! When you try Aurelio's for the first time, I highly recommend you dine in rather than choosing carry out or delivery so you can get the freshest thin crust experience possible. Nothing beats fresh from the oven to the table. I happened to notice the older reviews gave a lot of low ratings which have deterred some people from trying Aurelio's, but the owner has really stepped up his game as he has nurtured his franchise. So if you haven't been to Aurelio's in a year or so, give 'em a shot today. You won't be disappointed!

    I did not even get to try the food at this restaurant, because when I went, I was completely ignored by any staff for 10 minutes before I decided to walk out. I was seated quickly, but after that watched numerous staff members walking back and forth from the kitchen and not a single one even said hello to me or told me they would be with me. I know they saw me, I even looked over and saw an older gentlemen hunker back into the shadows when I tried to meet his gaze, hoping someone would pay attention to me. When someone sits down and it is busy, you should atleast bring them water, a menu, and let them know someone would be with them shortly. I can be a patient person as long as I know what's going on. To make matters worse, I called and asked to speak to manager as I drove away, and instead of apologizing and trying to be understanding, he tells me that he saw me sit there and then leave, and that he told the server she should have at least brought me a water, and that is 'not how they are there'. So this man saw a customer get up and walk away and decided not to come over and do anything about it while that person is there- and then instead of saying sorry(seriously, there was NO apology) he decides to say that's just not how they are. Actually, it IS how you are because that's what happened.

    My longing for Chicago has subsided slightly after I realized that an Aurelio's existed in the Atlanta area. True, nothing beats the original Homewood location, but man does this place come close. Pros - The pizza is just great. I tend to enjoy Chicago-style thin crust cut into squares better than deep-dish. But they are two different beasts really. And Aurelio's is really the best at the thin crust style. Cons - The last time I was there, I feel my pizza was undersauced and the sauce is the best part. I don't think that is indicative of their typical pizza preparation. The service is kinda' spotty, but the servers seemed a little overworked. I think there was only one waiter when we were there for the lunch rush.

    This pizza tastes like frozen pizza from a grocery store. Actually, I've had better pizza from the freezer section at Trader Joe's. Would not recommend this pizza. Also, the meat toppings taste like cheap meat.

    This place has some amazing pizza! One star off because it is more on the pricey side of how I like my pizza. I can see why though. It is well worth the money you spend and a medium pizza is plenty to share for 2 people - with leftovers! Great family atmosphere.

    Sunday XL takeout pizza is a decent deal at $19. Just be ready to REMIND the people answering the phone that the deal is front and center on their website. They quoted me a much higher price.

    This is my family's go to pizza place. Thin crust pizza in the area is almost non-existent, particularly with a dine-in option. Service is alway consistent. Stick with thin crust though, the stuffed does not even touch the best of Chicago style pizza like Lou Malnati's (only in Chicago area).

    I wish this place was not stuck in strip mall hell because it makes me happy. At least it has been well taken in by the locals. We waited until nearly 8 to eat on a Thursday, and they were still really busy. I was going to wait until I come back to have thin crust, but I want to post this review now so nobody gets disappointed when they come here (I hope). If you are looking for deep dish pizza, you are in the wrong place. Aurelio's is known for their thin crust pizza. If you are expecting a towering monstrosity in a pan a la Giordano's, this is not the place for you. Generally I expect stuffed pizza to be the ultimate in deep dish pizza (like previously mentioned Giordano's and if I type their name one more time I may cry), but Aurelio's version is more like a baby step in deep dish. They also serve it on a cooling rack over a pan so the cheese oozes everywhere and it's kind of sad. That's not to say it isn't good pizza, because it is. Despite not being deep at all, it's still cheesy, saucy goodness. The crust is somewhat boring though, but it's easy to eat pieces of it with more sauce and cheese. On the plus side it also cooks much faster than a deep dish pizza. So despite stuffed pizza being on their menu, it's not. Come for the thin crust, or go knowing it's not what you're really hoping it will be. That's why we have Nancy's franchises too, I guess.

    Pizza and service are ok. It's slightly better then some other chains like Papa Johns The place is way overpriced. The chicken parm and pasta were both gross. The chicken parm was not breaded, pasta was soggy and the marinara was worse then Ragu from a jar. After complaining about the chicken parm, they still charged me for it and the waiter told me that they have high school kids working in the back and they didn't know how to cook it properly. I won't be going back.

    I grew up in Chicago eating this stuff. I was skeptical that it could be replicated in the south but I was pleasantly surprised. My family and I went here for the first time a few months ago and we dined in. It's not a huge place so I can see how it might get crowded on the weekends. They have lots of Chicago memorabilia and they serve Pepsi products - that's authentic old school Chicago right there. I was sad that they didn't have Coke but water does a body good, right? We ordered a few different pizzas - a thin crust pepperoni and original hand tossed crust specialty pizza with spinach, chicken and some other stuff. Both pizzas were good but the pepperoni was exactly what I remembered from my childhood. This is the real deal folks. I definitely recommend the thin crust over the hand tossed. I haven'y tried the "stuffed"/ "Chicago" style pizza and don't think I will because the thin crust is so good. The pizza is a little pricey but definitely worth it to have genuinely good pizza. Since our first dine-in experience we have ordered it several times to go....we are very happy Chicago natives to have an Aurelio's in the Atlanta area! And I totally second David F - order enough to have leftovers! Its soooo good cold especially for breakfast! Now I need them to open a location in town so that I don't have to drive all the way to Marietta to get my fix!!!

    Basically, if you're familiar with Aurelio's from Chicagoland/Northwest Indiana, the location in Marietta is the real deal. I'll give the food 5 stars because it was the same as the one in my home town, and that's my go-to pizza place. If you're new to Aurelio's, I'd recommend the thin crust. The sausage is good, the pepperoni on top is done so it's sort of crispy. Oh, and if you like what you order, make sure to take some home. Aurelio's is the best breakfast cold pizza. The service at the Marietta location was very attentive. The server asked if we'd ever been before and was ready to make recommendations. I should have played naive and heard what he said, but knew what I wanted before I even started driving there.

    Chicago style pizza... 'maybe'... 1. It is EXPENSIVE, but good. 2. The THIN CRUST is classic Chicago style... try it with sausage... 3. The stuffed was a disappointment - I was expecting much more of a Lou Malnati's style stuffed pie... I'll go back, but they do have competition!

    I was looming for a traditional pizza place to take my girls and I found Aurelio's! I can't put into words how fantastic the pizza is! It was gooing with cheese, hot from the oven...The pizza is cut in fun, easy ways to eat specially for kids. A medium is much bigger than I expected. I will definitely be returning!

    Purdy dang good! I went with a friend from Chicago. I'm not even honestly sure if I've ever had Chicago style pizza before, so I can't really comment on how good it was in the style. I can however; say how much I liked it. Nice, scrip, thin crust, without being burnt or overcooked at all. the sausage was salty and sweet, the sauce hand a nice flavor without being over powering, and the cheese was just right - not tool little, not too much, and it was quality cheese, definitely didn't have the "processed" flavor that cheap cheese has. The service was just OK. It was friendly enough, but spotty.... I didn't expect to be fawned over, but keep drinks on the table, especially when asked for! We had a couple of kids, both out of something to drink and had to find the waiter, then he grabbed one drink and ran off before we could tell him more was needed than that. If you've read my reviews this is a pet peeve of mine! I will still definitely be back though and overall this is a solid four star for a pizza point. Next time, the deep dish! I've heard it isn't as good as the thin crust, but I want to find out for myself! :)

    Loved it! Got thin crust with spinach and tomatoes. Couldn't tell what made it so special, but it was. Maybe it was pretty salty, not sure. Saw that mentioned in another review and I realized that could be the secret. Their thin crust isn't thin and crispy, just thin and tasty.

    Dined here on a Saturday night. Prices are a bit high IMHO. For.example, it's $2.35 for a soda. So you're in almost $10 just to get drinks with four people. Granted, other restaurants charge as much but have better service. For pizza I was.expecting better. our almost $30 pie was good but NOT worth $30. Servers were very slow with refills. If you're charging $2.35 for a soda at least be Johnny on the spot with the refills. Also, they gave me regular Pepsi on one refill rather than diet Pepsi. They did the same to my wife with her tea (gave her sweet tea rather than unsweet). As much as I tried, I couldn't get the server's attention to get it fixed before we got the check. My son asked.for plain spaghetti and they put some herbs of some sort on it. No big deal except that we explained that he wanted ONLY butter on it. We had to scrape off the parsley bits before he'd eat it (he's picky). We ordered breadsticks for an appetizer for $4. Got four small slices and the server tells us they charge $.95 for sauce? At least at olive garden they give you breadsticks. The restaurant was nicely decorated and although the place was full, it didn't feel crowded. The location had been recently renovated, so it's what you would have expected from that standpoint. I understand that Aurelio's is very popular in Chicago, and perhaps it fills a niche in East Cobb for folks wanting a Chicago flavor. The pizza was good, but for the price and hype I was expecting so much more. We may try them again, but for the price we paid, I'd just as soon go to Chepe's, Mellow Mushroom, or Ted's Montana Grill, all of which are in the same ballpark but have better service.

    The wait was very long, but the pizza was good. It's cooked to order, so I knew it would take over 20 minutes. I had a friend to talk to and beer, so no problems for me. If you're in a hurry or have hungry impatient kids, this is not the place for you.

    goodness gracious... this pizza was awful... got the thick crust and it weighed 100 pounds, not in a good way. the crust is thick and solid, not soft, chewy and airy. honestly, you'd be better off with dominos or papa john's. it'll be cheaper and same quality.

    Best. Thin Crust Pizza. Ever!!! I L-O-V-E this place. It's a bit expensive for pizza, but OH the pizza! My family of 4 usually devours a fiesta size #12 (sausage and pepperoni). They are pretty fast and surprisingly never busy. The crackly thin crust coupled with the incredible sauce is food from heaven! Go here, get the #12, you will NOT be disappointed.

    This is "old neighborhood" Chicago pizza. Not the deep dish you here so much about coming from Chicago(although they do offer a very good deep dish as well). This is a thin crispy crust with a sweeter sauce. The toppings are all fresh and the cheese is a mix not just the mozerella you get with most places. I wish I wasnt watching the waistline cuz I would be there on the daily if that was not the case! :) Family environment with the owner there greeting tables and telling Chicago stories. Reminded me of home!

    Pizza is good (for Atlanta), but the management, not so much. We planned to have my stepson's birthday dinner here, and although they don't take reservations, they said they could loosely reserve a table for us. We dropped of the birthday cake and balloons in the afternoon and told them we would back with the kids at 6pm. We get there at five minutes to 6 and every table was taken, including one for us. The manager comes out and is not apologetic at at all. He tells us that they had our table reserved for 5:45 and they waited and waited but he had people come in and he needed to seat them. The restaurant had our birthday cake and balloons - I think it was probably fair to assume that we would show up. The hostess was very sweet and told us that we would be seated in 20 mins maximum....but we looked around to see that not one table had gotten their food yet. We grabbed our cake and went down the street to Chick Fil-A where they were much more accomdating of us. Aurelio's pizza may be decent for these parts, but not good enough to make up for the manager's bad attitude and poor customer service.

    Completely worth the trip OTP. Don't even try to compare to other Atlanta pizza favs - it stands on it's own. We had the "classic" thin crust and antipasta salad. The sauce is distinctive - slightly sweet, but in a good way (not an overprocessed yuck way). I would make a special trip from downtown to get it. As far as ambiance, service, etc. - standard family pizza joint. Nothing to delight, nothing to disappoint (although our server was quite good). You go for the 'za.

    Awful food. I got the Italian Combo Sandwich, and the meat was distastefully dry. No flavor whatsoever. The bread was toasted to a crisp. Dried up like the Sahara desert. The salad I ordered was just plain crappy iceberg lettuce with slices of ham and pepperoni. Needless to say, I'll never be coming here again.

    The thin crust pizza and the service were both very good, but it's definitely not cheap. Five years ago they could have gotten away with the drab iceberg side salad they are currently serving, but the food in this area has definitely upped the ante recently and they are going to have to adjust accordingly. The quality of the small caesar was much better, and the lettuce used in that should be used for both. Maybe I'm overestimating the health consciousness of Marietta diners, but just about every one I know has salad with pizza these days to keep a semblance of balance to the meal. If they sort that out I'd be happy to throw in another star, as the pizza really was superb.

    My favorite pizza. I still love Mellow Mushroom and Capozzies, but this is even better and a nice change. We've been twice since it opened a few months ago and had good experiences. It sounds like some of the negative reviews are due to them being new and ironing out the kinks. Don't let it deter you from eating here. They will start delivering soon as well! Can't wait.

    After waiting over an hour in a fly-infested and dirty location, our waitress told us that they had lost our order. She offered a small side salad for our entire family to share and that she would rush the order. Instead of being polite and offering a complimentary appetizer or meal, she said we had to tell her immediately whether we wanted the meal or not, but had no indication of how long it would take on top of our waiting time. Needless to say, we will definitely not be going back.

    Aurelio's is a great little pizza establishment that serves Chicago-style pies. Now sadly I've never made my way up to Chicago to try the pizza up there, so I can't comment on the authenticity of it all. But I can say, with confidence, is that the pizza is quite good. The location is in close proximity to my job, so it has been takeout for me every time. Although my experience with their dine-in service is limited, my carryout visits have been wonderful! Pizza is often ordered for a few co-workers, so the characteristics of our pizzas are borderline ridiculous. However, everyone I've met behind the counter has been nothing but patient and considerate, taking the time to get our orders right. Given the downright weird combinations of pizzas we've order so far, I've had the chance to taste many of their toppings and sauce. I've personally never been disappointed, and from the rate at which my co-workers consume their slices, I take it they haven't been either. Pies are always thin crust and cut into rectangles, a nice break from the V-shaped slices so common here. I personally enjoy the chicken barbeque pizza, while others tend to gravitate towards pineapple and Italian sausage with traditional sauce. If there is one thing you should be warned about, it is the copious amounts of sauce that often spills out wherever it can when you take a bite. Whatever you do, make sure to have a napkin and/or plate below before exerting a high amount of pressure on your slice, or you could end up like me with sauce on your jeans! Overall, Aurelio's has satisfied the seemingly random pizza cravings of me and my fellow co-workers. The pizza is consistently good and a friendly, welcoming staff makes this restaurant highly recommended.

    While the pizza is pricey, their gluten free pizza is the best in Atlanta! No cracker crust here, it is thick and delicious and I am so in love. The only complaint is that a few times I have called and asked for a small and then they call me back a few minutes later to tell me that they are all out.

    Might be fine for pizza, dunno, but I do know the chicken parm I was served tasted like a microwaved dishrag. Tough and basically unseasoned, it arrived on a bed of overcooked spaghetti and topped with an unremarkable canned marinara. The dinner salad was remarkable -- for consisting of roughly 58,574 croutons from a bag in a single bowl. Odd in that what iceberg lettuce there was was fresh and crunchy, the other veggies OK. But man, that Wall-O-Crouton. Have to believe they could delete this dish and no one would miss it.

    Heard about this place from a fellow Chicagoans... OMG!!! It was awesome. Sunday is free upgrade day and let me tell you - it's worth it for sure. The taste was delicious, numerous toppings, good service and great sodas. Those fountain drinks were just the right amount of bubble.... I will be back for sure.

    The service was good. The friendly waiter served us promptly and checked on us regularly. The manager thanked us on the way out. The food was not so good. The Italian beef sandwich reminded me of a bad french dip roast beef sandwich. The dip was a little too salty and the beef was dry and bland. It was just this old roast beef meat packed into a bun. Waste of my money. They appear to fry their own chips and the chips were the best part of my meal. My date got a pizza and the sauce was too thin and salty and soaked into the crust of the pizza. This resulted in a mushy pizza where the toppings slide off the pizza into a messy pile when trying to pick up a slice. For the price and quality of the food I would have given this place a 1 star but the service was good so I am bumping the rating to a 2.

    Rare family dinner out turned out to be a disappointing experience. The restaurant is clean and well lit. Our server was polite and attentive. The pizza leaves much to be desired. We ordered two pizzas - one 1/2 cheese 1/2 pepperoni the second mushroom, onion, green pepper. Neither was very flavorful. Both had far too much sauce for what we like. The crust does not taste like pizza dough to me. The cheese/pepperoni pizza had cheddar cheese which neither child liked. The cheese on the veggie pizza was just off. I am not a mozzarella expert but it just did not taste or "feel" right. For $45 - garlic bread, med. pizza, small pizza and water, we definitely will not pick this place for pizza again.

    We had heard rumors that there was a true Chicago pizza joint down in Georgia. So this weekend my fiance and I went in search of Aurelios. Having eaten at the Homewood/Flossmoor location many times in my youth up in Chicago, I was truly excited. I have lived in the North Georgia area now for 6 years and despite many claims of great pizza - Growing up in Chicago or New York kind of makes you a snob about such things. Im a pizza snob. I admit it. Georgia just doesnt know pizza. Let me tell you, from the time we walked in, and the time we left, it was like I was transported back in time. REAL Chicago Italian sausage. Wow. Just wow. After talking with whom I presume to be the owner/manager we discovered that they ship the ingredients down making it completely authentic. Will be going back often much to the chagrin of my waistline.

    We thought the pricing was high compared to similar pizza restaurants. Breadsticks were expensive and you only get 4 or 6 for $8. We were one of two couples in the place and it took forever to get our appetizer - 10 mins. The Bosco sticks you could tell were not made there - frozen. The pizza tasted good but was really cheesy.

    Been in Atlanta 3 months -the wife tells me she found an Aurelio's less than 5 miles from the house. Now she's from the far NW suburbs of Chicago, had been to the Homewood original and liked it, but for me, Aurelio's is more than that. It brings back memories of post HS dances and Hockey games - Homewood Aurelio's was THE place. In a lot of ways, this location was even better - free refills on pop (Homewood charges) brighter, cleaner inside (but, for some strange reason, I miss the baby pictures) but enough about my walk down memory lane - lets get to the food! Fried mushrooms were great, and the pizza (go with the thin) had the great cheese blend I remember - they went a little easy on the sauce - which is probably good for this location, as the sauce has a unique sweet taste that I love, but I can see turning others off. Finding this location was like finding a little piece of home - see you every week or so Aurelio's!!!

    My boyfriend met me for lunch at work and we decided to go to Aurellio's since it's walking distance away. When we got there, we let the waitress know that we only had an hour before I had to go back to work. There were only two other tables in the restaurant and one of them already had their food. We gave our drink orders and looked over the menu for a couple of minutes but the waitress never came back to get our order. We waited about 10 minutes before my boyfriend had to poke his head into the kitchen to get the waitress. (Keep in mind that we aren't the kind of people to do that and we were pretty embarrassed at having to do it.) After taking our order, we didn't see the waitress for another 45 minutes. I was already 10 minutes late for work and my boyfriend went to the kitchen to tell them we were leaving. The waitress then said our order was ready and put it in a to-go box for us. We got a large pizza with a couple of toppings and it alone cost us $30. The pizza was too hot to eat so I had to go back to work without eating. The staff was completely nonchalant about the entire situation and was not at all apologetic about the fact that we were there for almost an hour without being checked on. I've talked to my coworkers about my experience and all of them have had similar experiences. Later on when I got a chance to try the pizza, it was actually very good. I wish I would have had a chance to eat it in the middle of my 12 hour shift, but now I know that this is a place that I shouldn't go to sit down and eat at. In all, the food is great but the staff leaves much to be desired.

    I had high expectations of this place, and Aurelio's met them. Chicago-style pizza. Ain't nothin' wrong with that. Aurelio's provided speedy, efficient service on top of serving some really tasty food. We ordered two, small pizzas. One small pizza would have served the two of us just fine, but we had to do the taste-test thing, you see. First up was the sausage & mushroom thin crust pizza: Flavorful sausage with solid fennel. At least two types of cheese. My gf says it tastes exactly like she remembers the original Aurelio's serving it back in Homewood, IL. Then we had the stuffed mushroom & onion pizza. There is some sweetness to the sauce. But it was exactly as tasty and as filling as I thought it should be. As I said before, one pizza would have sufficed, and we ended up taking home two halves of pizza. Plus, they have root beer. Bottom line: Delicious. I'll be going back. Holler if you're coming with.

    I am from the Chicago area and thus consider myself a bit of a pizza connoisseur. I moved to Atlanta a few years ago and while I can recognize the jackpot of amazing restaurants here, there is a shocking lack of great pizza. So I was thrilled when Aurelio's opened a location down here, and it tastes exactly the same! You don't need to get fancy - some antipasta salad and thin crust sausage pizza will knock your socks off. I love having a taste of home in Atlanta!

    New to East Cobb, we tried it once. We went early because our kids are little (ie. impatient), so the place was pretty empty pre-6:00. Waiter was attentive but food was slow despite the empty tables and the kids were not taking it well (we took several walks down the strip mall). Pizza, once arrived, was rather uninteresting in flavor. We'll keep looking for our East Cobb pizza spot. It's gotta be either fast, or tasty enough to wait for and this was neither.

    The SO and I went to have dinner on a Friday night with another couple. It was a fine atmosphere to eat and catch-up while on a double date. Service: 2/5 Our waiter seemed a little spaced-out. Ex: Took a water cup away to refill it, and had to be asked where it was when they came back to the table. Once we were ready to get the check it was a while before they reappeared to help us. Food: 4/5 If you enjoy thin crust pizza, check this place out. I had the little taco pizza, and I'd say the flavors were well balances and it wasn't soggy under all the toppings as I've found many taco pizzas to be.

    First let me give the caveat that I am not from Chicago, I am from New York. So not only do I not have the nostalgia for this location that those who grew up in Chicago do, but you can probably tell where this review is going. First: the photos that you can see here show that the pie is yellow, and it is extremely yellow because they use a blend of cheese that is predominantly American cheese, with just a bit of mozzarella . When the pie is placed before you, it has the aroma of a grilled cheese sandwich. Second: The sauce is way too sweet for any New Yorker's taste that has been weaned on pies with tomato sauce made from San Marzano tomatoes. Third: The crust is nothing to discuss, it is ordinary and not even a risen dough crust, It's more like a frozen pie shell when you're making a pie at home. The whole concoction is served on a wire rack that you know has been pulled through a conveyor belt oven like you have at Pizza Hut, not a regular brick or flat oven like you would see in the pizza parlor. All this being said, I actually did enjoy the version of "pizza " that Aurelio's served-- I just had to take the product on its own merits and not compare it with a real pizza pie. I can see how this establishment got its reputation as a family restaurant, and why people who grew up with it are nostalgic for this place . They have a good system and bring out the food in a prompt and courteous manner. The atmosphere is somewhat cozy, and is perfectly suited for large parties, and they have all of the family-style type of menu items that you could possibly want, but do not mistake this for a pizza parlor in any way, shape or form so that your expectations will not be disappointed.

    I grew up on the original Aurelios in Homewood; at Ridge Rd until they moved to Harwood in 1977. My wife and I sorely missed Aurelio's after moving to Georgia in 1992 and were excited when the Marietta franchise opened in 2011. We make the trek from Jasper to East Cobb about once a month with my family and always go for the thin crust and extra sauce under the cheese. When most folks think of "Chicago Style" pizza, they think pan or stuffed. At Aurelio's the centerpiece is the unique Chicago Thin crust. Their offering of the Pan or Stuffed are both very good, and at some point in your Aurelio's journey you must also try their Calabrese - it is to DIE for! For those of you who go in expecting New York (you know who you are!), this is not some Chicago pizza joint trying to do a New York style pizza. This IS Pizza. This IS Chicago Thin! When you try Aurelio's for the first time, I highly recommend you dine in rather than choosing carry out or delivery so you can get the freshest thin crust experience possible. Nothing beats fresh from the oven to the table. I happened to notice the older reviews gave a lot of low ratings which have deterred some people from trying Aurelio's, but the owner has really stepped up his game as he has nurtured his franchise. So if you haven't been to Aurelio's in a year or so, give 'em a shot today. You won't be disappointed!

    Pizza is good but not outstanding or overly innovative. Thin crust was good as was the tomato sauce. All veggies are canned, not fresh. That gives a certain taste that some people like, but not me. I like my ingredients fresh. Salads were dreadful, especially the Caesar which had plenty of wilted lettuce and was mostly leaves and not hearts.

    We ate here on Memorial Day, as they were about the only place open within a short drive of the house. Our experience was not what I would call positive, so the 3.5-star ratings don't really surprise me. When I think about neighborhood Italian restaurants, I remember the amazing food I used to have at Rocco's Pizza in Indialantic, FL and Provino's in Snellville, GA. Homemade dishes and great smells with cheesy, however authentic, decor and not much in the way of lighting. Free yeast rolls drenched in garlic butter and all. No such ambiance about this place; standard flourescent lights and corporate decorations adorned the walls. It makes me sad... We were seated immediately and the waitress kept pestering us for our order several times within the first few minutes. I finally explained that we'd never been there before and she replied, "Oh, most folks already know what they want when they sit down" and rushed off. Well, excuse me for being behind the curve. We didn't see here again for 15 minutes and when we finally placed our order, it took another 40 minutes for our food to arrive. The place wasn't packed by any means, but it did fill up more after we arrived; I can tell you that several groups who came in after us left before we did. The food was industrial strength at best. My half-order of (cold, by now) cheese ravioli came sans the promised meat sauce and was on par with the finest that Chef Boyardee ever put into a can. Actually, that's not true. It was bland and generic. I have fantastic memories of the Chef's canned delights from childhood. And half an order for $7 gets you exactly four pieces. Anyway...my girlfriend ordered the Calabrese, which is a fancy name for a calzone with spinach and two cheeses. It was the better of the two meals, but not all that impressive, especially at $12. We never got any bread (I discovered later that it's extra) and the caesar salads were just ordinary. I could have ordered this salad at a Wed. night church dinner and never known the difference. I was glad to be on my way after our brush with mediocrity. Needless to say, we won't be going back. PHHFFFTTTTHHH!

    I really scared the crap out of my boyfriend when we drove by this strip mall and I saw the Aurelio's sign. "OMG you guys have one now?!?!?!" as I lean over to the window, my eyes huge with excitement. You see, I'm from Chicago and whenever I go home I HAVE to go to Aurelio's. The super salty cheesyness is like some cheap form of crack. Needless to say we ended up eating here shortly after this episode. Like, about 15 minutes later. The place is fairly small, but a good amount of seating. They also have an area for you to come in quick and carryout a pizza. Two flat screens were in the restaurant so it got a little rowdy in there with everyone cheering on the SF/NO game. A word on the staff: Our waitress came by only a couple times. Fortunately, another waitress noticed this so she got our drinks refilled for us...twice. Thank you other waitress! A word on the food: We got the thin crust half cheese half sausage pizza, and it was fantastic. I love the sweet sauce that they use. I also love that they have Pepsi products true to their origins (unlike a certain Nancy's here *ahem*). I want to come back and munch on some cheese sticks while I wait for a stuffed pizza to be made. Two of my Aurelio's favorites. Yummmm.

    This is "old neighborhood" Chicago pizza. Not the deep dish you here so much about coming from Chicago(although they do offer a very good deep dish as well). This is a thin crispy crust with a sweeter sauce. The toppings are all fresh and the cheese is a mix not just the mozerella you get with most places. I wish I wasnt watching the waistline cuz I would be there on the daily if that was not the case! :) Family environment with the owner there greeting tables and telling Chicago stories. Reminded me of home!

    This is my family's go to pizza place. Thin crust pizza in the area is almost non-existent, particularly with a dine-in option. Service is alway consistent. Stick with thin crust though, the stuffed does not even touch the best of Chicago style pizza like Lou Malnati's (only in Chicago area).

    I did not even get to try the food at this restaurant, because when I went, I was completely ignored by any staff for 10 minutes before I decided to walk out. I was seated quickly, but after that watched numerous staff members walking back and forth from the kitchen and not a single one even said hello to me or told me they would be with me. I know they saw me, I even looked over and saw an older gentlemen hunker back into the shadows when I tried to meet his gaze, hoping someone would pay attention to me. When someone sits down and it is busy, you should atleast bring them water, a menu, and let them know someone would be with them shortly. I can be a patient person as long as I know what's going on. To make matters worse, I called and asked to speak to manager as I drove away, and instead of apologizing and trying to be understanding, he tells me that he saw me sit there and then leave, and that he told the server she should have at least brought me a water, and that is 'not how they are there'. So this man saw a customer get up and walk away and decided not to come over and do anything about it while that person is there- and then instead of saying sorry(seriously, there was NO apology) he decides to say that's just not how they are. Actually, it IS how you are because that's what happened.

    My longing for Chicago has subsided slightly after I realized that an Aurelio's existed in the Atlanta area. True, nothing beats the original Homewood location, but man does this place come close. Pros - The pizza is just great. I tend to enjoy Chicago-style thin crust cut into squares better than deep-dish. But they are two different beasts really. And Aurelio's is really the best at the thin crust style. Cons - The last time I was there, I feel my pizza was undersauced and the sauce is the best part. I don't think that is indicative of their typical pizza preparation. The service is kinda' spotty, but the servers seemed a little overworked. I think there was only one waiter when we were there for the lunch rush.

    This has been bugging me for some time, and it has nothing to do with the good pizza. Why must you physically have your "Aurelio's Card" to get credit for what your points you earn. It's not as much the $ you get back($10 gift card for every $200 you spend) it's more annoying and inconvenient that they wouldn't have a system for that . Although they tell you to hold on to your receipt and they will properly credit you, but who is actually holding on to that receipt. It's not just about the food(although helps) but the customer experience is extremely important.

    I wish this place was not stuck in strip mall hell because it makes me happy. At least it has been well taken in by the locals. We waited until nearly 8 to eat on a Thursday, and they were still really busy. I was going to wait until I come back to have thin crust, but I want to post this review now so nobody gets disappointed when they come here (I hope). If you are looking for deep dish pizza, you are in the wrong place. Aurelio's is known for their thin crust pizza. If you are expecting a towering monstrosity in a pan a la Giordano's, this is not the place for you. Generally I expect stuffed pizza to be the ultimate in deep dish pizza (like previously mentioned Giordano's and if I type their name one more time I may cry), but Aurelio's version is more like a baby step in deep dish. They also serve it on a cooling rack over a pan so the cheese oozes everywhere and it's kind of sad. That's not to say it isn't good pizza, because it is. Despite not being deep at all, it's still cheesy, saucy goodness. The crust is somewhat boring though, but it's easy to eat pieces of it with more sauce and cheese. On the plus side it also cooks much faster than a deep dish pizza. So despite stuffed pizza being on their menu, it's not. Come for the thin crust, or go knowing it's not what you're really hoping it will be. That's why we have Nancy's franchises too, I guess.

    Pizza and service are ok. It's slightly better then some other chains like Papa Johns The place is way overpriced. The chicken parm and pasta were both gross. The chicken parm was not breaded, pasta was soggy and the marinara was worse then Ragu from a jar. After complaining about the chicken parm, they still charged me for it and the waiter told me that they have high school kids working in the back and they didn't know how to cook it properly. I won't be going back.

    I grew up in Chicago eating this stuff. I was skeptical that it could be replicated in the south but I was pleasantly surprised. My family and I went here for the first time a few months ago and we dined in. It's not a huge place so I can see how it might get crowded on the weekends. They have lots of Chicago memorabilia and they serve Pepsi products - that's authentic old school Chicago right there. I was sad that they didn't have Coke but water does a body good, right? We ordered a few different pizzas - a thin crust pepperoni and original hand tossed crust specialty pizza with spinach, chicken and some other stuff. Both pizzas were good but the pepperoni was exactly what I remembered from my childhood. This is the real deal folks. I definitely recommend the thin crust over the hand tossed. I haven'y tried the "stuffed"/ "Chicago" style pizza and don't think I will because the thin crust is so good. The pizza is a little pricey but definitely worth it to have genuinely good pizza. Since our first dine-in experience we have ordered it several times to go....we are very happy Chicago natives to have an Aurelio's in the Atlanta area! And I totally second David F - order enough to have leftovers! Its soooo good cold especially for breakfast! Now I need them to open a location in town so that I don't have to drive all the way to Marietta to get my fix!!!

    Basically, if you're familiar with Aurelio's from Chicagoland/Northwest Indiana, the location in Marietta is the real deal. I'll give the food 5 stars because it was the same as the one in my home town, and that's my go-to pizza place. If you're new to Aurelio's, I'd recommend the thin crust. The sausage is good, the pepperoni on top is done so it's sort of crispy. Oh, and if you like what you order, make sure to take some home. Aurelio's is the best breakfast cold pizza. The service at the Marietta location was very attentive. The server asked if we'd ever been before and was ready to make recommendations. I should have played naive and heard what he said, but knew what I wanted before I even started driving there.

    Chicago style pizza... 'maybe'... 1. It is EXPENSIVE, but good. 2. The THIN CRUST is classic Chicago style... try it with sausage... 3. The stuffed was a disappointment - I was expecting much more of a Lou Malnati's style stuffed pie... I'll go back, but they do have competition!

It was gooing with cheese, hot from the oven...The pizza is cut in fun, easy ways to eat specially for kids. A medium is much bigger than I expected. I will definitely be returning!

    Purdy dang good! I went with a friend from Chicago. I'm not even honestly sure if I've ever had Chicago style pizza before, so I can't really comment on how good it was in the style. I can however; say how much I liked it. Nice, scrip, thin crust, without being burnt or overcooked at all. the sausage was salty and sweet, the sauce hand a nice flavor without being over powering, and the cheese was just right - not tool little, not too much, and it was quality cheese, definitely didn't have the "processed" flavor that cheap cheese has. The service was just OK. It was friendly enough, but spotty.... I didn't expect to be fawned over, but keep drinks on the table, especially when asked for! We had a couple of kids, both out of something to drink and had to find the waiter, then he grabbed one drink and ran off before we could tell him more was needed than that. If you've read my reviews this is a pet peeve of mine! I will still definitely be back though and overall this is a solid four star for a pizza point. Next time, the deep dish! I've heard it isn't as good as the thin crust, but I want to find out for myself! :)

    Loved it! Got thin crust with spinach and tomatoes. Couldn't tell what made it so special, but it was. Maybe it was pretty salty, not sure. Saw that mentioned in another review and I realized that could be the secret. Their thin crust isn't thin and crispy, just thin and tasty.

    Dined here on a Saturday night. Prices are a bit high IMHO. For.example, it's $2.35 for a soda. So you're in almost $10 just to get drinks with four people. Granted, other restaurants charge as much but have better service. For pizza I was.expecting better. our almost $30 pie was good but NOT worth $30. Servers were very slow with refills. If you're charging $2.35 for a soda at least be Johnny on the spot with the refills. Also, they gave me regular Pepsi on one refill rather than diet Pepsi. They did the same to my wife with her tea (gave her sweet tea rather than unsweet). As much as I tried, I couldn't get the server's attention to get it fixed before we got the check. My son asked.for plain spaghetti and they put some herbs of some sort on it. No big deal except that we explained that he wanted ONLY butter on it. We had to scrape off the parsley bits before he'd eat it (he's picky). We ordered breadsticks for an appetizer for $4. Got four small slices and the server tells us they charge $.95 for sauce? At least at olive garden they give you breadsticks. The restaurant was nicely decorated and although the place was full, it didn't feel crowded. The location had been recently renovated, so it's what you would have expected from that standpoint. I understand that Aurelio's is very popular in Chicago, and perhaps it fills a niche in East Cobb for folks wanting a Chicago flavor. The pizza was good, but for the price and hype I was expecting so much more. We may try them again, but for the price we paid, I'd just as soon go to Chepe's, Mellow Mushroom, or Ted's Montana Grill, all of which are in the same ballpark but have better service.

    goodness gracious... this pizza was awful... got the thick crust and it weighed 100 pounds, not in a good way. the crust is thick and solid, not soft, chewy and airy. honestly, you'd be better off with dominos or papa john's. it'll be cheaper and same quality.

    Best. Thin Crust Pizza. Ever!!! I L-O-V-E this place. It's a bit expensive for pizza, but OH the pizza! My family of 4 usually devours a fiesta size #12 (sausage and pepperoni). They are pretty fast and surprisingly never busy. The crackly thin crust coupled with the incredible sauce is food from heaven! Go here, get the #12, you will NOT be disappointed.

    Awful food. I got the Italian Combo Sandwich, and the meat was distastefully dry. No flavor whatsoever. The bread was toasted to a crisp. Dried up like the Sahara desert. The salad I ordered was just plain crappy iceberg lettuce with slices of ham and pepperoni. Needless to say, I'll never be coming here again.

    Pizza is good (for Atlanta), but the management, not so much. We planned to have my stepson's birthday dinner here, and although they don't take reservations, they said they could loosely reserve a table for us. We dropped of the birthday cake and balloons in the afternoon and told them we would back with the kids at 6pm. We get there at five minutes to 6 and every table was taken, including one for us. The manager comes out and is not apologetic at at all. He tells us that they had our table reserved for 5:45 and they waited and waited but he had people come in and he needed to seat them. The restaurant had our birthday cake and balloons - I think it was probably fair to assume that we would show up. The hostess was very sweet and told us that we would be seated in 20 mins maximum....but we looked around to see that not one table had gotten their food yet. We grabbed our cake and went down the street to Chick Fil-A where they were much more accomdating of us. Aurelio's pizza may be decent for these parts, but not good enough to make up for the manager's bad attitude and poor customer service.

    Completely worth the trip OTP. Don't even try to compare to other Atlanta pizza favs - it stands on it's own. We had the "classic" thin crust and antipasta salad. The sauce is distinctive - slightly sweet, but in a good way (not an overprocessed yuck way). I would make a special trip from downtown to get it. As far as ambiance, service, etc. - standard family pizza joint. Nothing to delight, nothing to disappoint (although our server was quite good). You go for the 'za.

    The thin crust pizza and the service were both very good, but it's definitely not cheap. Five years ago they could have gotten away with the drab iceberg side salad they are currently serving, but the food in this area has definitely upped the ante recently and they are going to have to adjust accordingly. The quality of the small caesar was much better, and the lettuce used in that should be used for both. Maybe I'm overestimating the health consciousness of Marietta diners, but just about every one I know has salad with pizza these days to keep a semblance of balance to the meal. If they sort that out I'd be happy to throw in another star, as the pizza really was superb.

    My co-workers and I went over for lunch and we order the personal size pizza. Instantly we noticed there was a smell coming off of the pizza and when we opened up the box the top of the pizza had a pool of grease and the crust was soggy we were grossed out. We ended up only eating 1/4 and couldn't eat anymore. That was the first and last time going there. By the way I'm from Indiana and go to Chicago all the time and this is nothing like the Chicago pizza I'm familiar with. Try AGAIN!

    My boyfriend is from Chicago and just like every other review says, would NOT shut up about this pizza. I live downtown but when I visit my parents up that way he begged me to stop and pick up a pie. I'm not gonna lie, he gets some brownie points for introducing me to Aurelio's. The pizza is great---it's not fancy it's not a chain (well sort of a chain)--it's just a really really good pizza. I've always done the thin crust which is their specialty and is cooked perfectly ( but they even ASK you your cooked preference). I always do carry out since I live so far away except for once and the servers were nice and personable. I wish I lived closer to try more items, but for now the pizza is more than satisfying. Thank you Aurelio's! Also saw signs for a new buffet on weekdays---I'd call about details but I'd be all over it again if I lived closer!

    Having grown up in Chicago I'm a pizza snob, so I was skeptical. But this is the real deal, just how I remember it back home! All other pizza places I've tried 4 stars or higher in Atlanta so far have not been good. Can't believe that they are averaging below 4 stars right now. I have not dined in the restaurant at this location so can't comment there, but people comparing this pizza to Papa John's or frozen...give and me a break. I will gladly pay more and travel out of my way to make this my new regular pizza joint.

    Being a Chicago transplant about to hit my one year anniversary in Atlanta, we visit Aurelio's on a regular basis. My Father lives in Flossmoor/Homewood where Aurelio's originates. Everything is EXACTLY the same. When we are having a craving for REAL pizza, we go to Aurelio's. We alternate between the thin crust and the stuffed pizza. Their stuffed pizza is not like a typical Chicago stuffed, but their sauce is so delicious to have more crust to take away from that is a crime. We always dine in because it's a nice reminder of home. Not to mention the people are always friendly and service is exceptional. My personal favorite is the stuffed pizza with sausage, spinach, and garlic. If we are doing the thin crust it will be sausage, onion, and garlic. I'm thankful for Aurelio's because moving out of state can be really hard when you've lived in such a great city your whole life. I would not be exaggerating if I said Aurelio's has made this transition for my husband and me much easier.

    Having grown up in Homewood IL, the home of the original Aurelio's. I was so excited to hear they were opening up in Marietta. My wife (who is not from Homewood) went there for dinner. I was not disappointed. It was like I was 10 years old again. We ordered a large thin crust with sausage and mushrooms. I always loved the way they cut their pizza, in squares not slices. My wife has heard me rave about Aurelio's for 20 years and said it can't be THAT good. Well after dinner she agreed it was the best pizza she's ever had. I don't go their for the deep dish or the pasta. There are better places for that. If you're looking for the best damn thin crust pizza in the world - This is it. Enjoy.

    I am originally from Chicago and have waited a long time for a good thin crust pizza to arrive in Atlanta. I have had enough New York Pizza's! This is real deal we order all three different types of their pizza's .The thin crust is crispy and cheeses, the thick is great with tons of sauce and cheese. The stuffed is another favorite we don't order it all the time due the cheese factor health issue but that is my husband favorite you cannot go wrong. It is our favorite place to go for a good pizza I have never been disappointed.

    If you want a quick meal with good service don't bother coming here. Took them 45 minutes to bring out 2 pizzas and both were not what we ordered! Amazing this place stays in business. The service is soooo slow even when the place is half empty. IT is too bad because my kids love this place. They especially love the Bosco Sticks. They also should buy those pizza stands for the middle of the table as this would make the meal much more enjoyable and free up much needed table space. They should think of expanding the menu a little and offer more italian dinner choices other than pizza.

    I worked at a family pizza restaurant for 2 years and have eaten at a few mid/upscale pizza chains (Godfather's, Uno's, etc) in the NE and in Chicago/Indianapolis as well as family-run places. I can say that if you want real Chicago-style pizza, this is where to go. It tastes different than what most NY/east coast folks like me are used to but what you are experiencing is not related to the quality but rather the difference between Chicago/NY styles. I love this place and would eat here more if it were closer to my house!

    My favorite pizza. I still love Mellow Mushroom and Capozzies, but this is even better and a nice change. We've been twice since it opened a few months ago and had good experiences. It sounds like some of the negative reviews are due to them being new and ironing out the kinks. Don't let it deter you from eating here. They will start delivering soon as well! Can't wait.

    After waiting over an hour in a fly-infested and dirty location, our waitress told us that they had lost our order. She offered a small side salad for our entire family to share and that she would rush the order. Instead of being polite and offering a complimentary appetizer or meal, she said we had to tell her immediately whether we wanted the meal or not, but had no indication of how long it would take on top of our waiting time. Needless to say, we will definitely not be going back.
