I went here Tuesday evening. I did not experience the heat everyone is commenting on, inside the restaurant. We didn't have to wait for a table, got a booth as requested. Didn't really feel like reading the menu so just asked the waiter for his recommendation we both ordered the same thing made the way the waiter liked it. Loved it. Eating the leftovers at home right now. Have no idea what this is lol some pasta with a creamy or cheesy red vodka sauce?? Whatever, it makes me happy. Out waiter (Tim) was awesome and I have not one complaint about the experience.

Although it can get a little noisy at times, I am rather fond of this family Italian eatery chain. The rolls are good and plentiful. The desserts generous. I hear the tiramisu is phenomenal, so I must try that some time. Some time when I leave room. Which has only happened once that I can recall, and I filled that spot with a massive slice of red velvet cake (half of which went into a box for later). The pizza is good, and one of the few places where I've seen cherry peppers as a topping option. Very nice stuff. My "go to" dish is angel hair with the Aglio-e-olio. I like to add broccoli to add some brightness and crunch. My favorite dish was a special of the day and I always check to see if it's there (maybe I should ask to see if they could do it special for me) pork chops braised with onions and cherry peppers. They have made me expand my definition of affordable Italian cuisine, and I appreciate that.

Great food especially for the price. Way to big of portions. Plan on taking some home for sure and could easily split something with someone. Will be back.

Pizza is really good......tiramisu is to die for.

Super disappointed with tonight's dinner. Their food has gone downhill significantly. Not only was the food bland, precooked and unexciting but the service was poorly timed. After being seated we waited 10 mins before the server came over to take our drink order. Then another 10 mins before we got our drinks. Immediately after receiving drinks we got salads, then before we could finish our salads the food came up. And the food was disappointing at best.

Best Italian restaurant I've ever eaten at. Nothing I've eaten is bad... Nothing... Calzone, garlic rolls, eggplant rolintini, lobster ravioli, meatballs, Antipasta, tiramisu!!! All good! Gorgonzola chips!!! Love this place! Way better than Olive Garden and only 500 feet away!!!

We all know about the rolls here, they're fantastic. But little mentioned is the pizza, my favorite since moving to acworth 20 years ago.

Calzone was indelible as it had a perfect outer crust color and stone cold center. It was a meatball-pepperoni combo and the meatballs were old and flavorless, we really wanted to like this place....

Must have caught them on an off day because we didn't get the marinara with the rolls that everyone is raving about on here. I've never flagged down a waitress in my life because I used to be one, and I know how annoying that is, but in this case, we wouldn't have gotten the first thing if we didn't. I felt completely ripped off at the end of the meal, and I couldn't get the kids to eat their food at the restaurant, much less, their left overs. Pretty sad.

There's a reason they still flourish even when located right next to an Olive Garden. Nice atmosphere, and doesn't have that "chain" feel to it.

I've gone to Ippolito's twice, so congratulations on getting my first 1 star review, lol! Both times my food was way waaaay over-salted. Does anyone taste what they send out to their customers? It was awful. The first time it was the lasagna and the second time the manicotti. I'd rather have microwaved the orange box version from Stouffers. Yuck. The wait staff was friendly and polite. Hardly any wait as my coworker and I ate in an empty restaurant each of the 2 times. I can't believe he talked me into going back, lol! Bottom line? There's plenty of other Italian restaurants around, avoid this chain.

Love the rolls! Not much more said. The rest of the food is good too. Its also a great family resturant.

Definitely one of the best Italian restaurants in the Atlanta area. When I first ate there I thought to myself "Why have I been wasting my time by going to Olive Garden next door?" I've gone here several times and I LOVE their bread. I have yet to find anything I didn't like there.

We had dinner here last night, and although our server Erin was great, the food was disappointing for me. I ended up filling up on garlic rolls, which are always delicious but, you know, garlic rolls are pretty hard to screw up. I ordered the special Lobster Ravioli. Our server said it was a very popular item and they were thinking of adding it to the menu.... When it was set on the table I was hit with a strong fishy odor, they had topped the entree with shrimp; the lowest quality frozen tiny shrimp that are about the size of a nickel. These tiny cheap shrimp emit an off-putting fishy odor that is just not consistent with a fresh seafood experience. I was blown away by how unpleasant the dish smelled. Secondly, the "Cajun sauce" was congealing on my plate within my first 2 bites of the entree! In addition to being congealed it was pretty bland and I couldn't detect any Cajun spices. My husband enjoyed his calzone. I went to bed hungry.

Overpriced! Meatballs $2 each extra, not even included with spaghetti. The rolls are okay, just italian bread with butter and some cheese sprinkled on top. Nothing special. Warning! The marinara is SPICY. My husband can't eat spicy food and it was the first marinara that we've ever had too spicy. Will not be back.

Traffic going down 75 S was awful this one night. It was raining, it was icy, and there were like 3 accidents before 285. Decided to kill time by eating out. Saw Olive Garden but not super excited about it. Then right across from it was this corner restaurant. Walked in and immediately felt homey embrace of this place. Got calamari and stuffed mushrooms. Yummy!!!! Meatball sub awesome. Comes with complimentary bread and marinara that was sooo good. Totally coming back.

So, now this is probably my 10th time or so to have gone to Ipp's, so I guess it's true. I'm a fan. Ipp's is an unassuming shopping center that is anchored on one end by Marshall's and TJ Maxx and on the other, where Michael's used to be. So, not a particularly high-end shopping center, but Ipp's is more of your local Italian eatery as opposed to a pretentious setting. There is ample parking in the parking lot, since it's basically set in a shopping center. We got there about 8pm on a Wednesday and the restaurant was about 3/4 full. We were seated almost immediately and put into a booth. Our waiter took a couple of minutes to approach, but it gave us time to confirm what we wanted for dinner. I knew about the garlic knots served with marinara sauce, so really there is no reason to get an appetizer here. They are the bomb! Buttery, garlicy goodness that you can break apart and dip in the sweet marinara sauce. Wow...they're good. They'll usually give you 4 (for a table of 2) and you can save a couple to take home with you. We ordered a couple of waters and then decided we'd try a bottle of Malbec (now forgetting the name - $26) since we knew we'd be having some pastas with red sauce. While we were at it, we went ahead and ordered. I had the Baked Lasagna ($13.95) & my wife had the Chicken and Spinach Canneloni ($13.95) and she changed out the sauce from marinara to a mix of marinara and alfredo ($0.95 upcharge). A couple of minutes later, our waiter was back with our bottle of red. Then next came our salads (which came with the pasta) and we both had Caesar Salads with Caesar dressing. The Caesar was comprised of Romaine lettuce, sliced Parmesan cheese, and homemade croutons. The Caesar dressing wasn't overly fishy and all and all, a pretty good side salad. About 5 - 10 minutes later, our meals were brought out. My baked lasagna was served in a fairly large white baking dish and was piping hot (as it should be). There was a layer of melted white (maybe Romano?) cheesey goodness. In fact, as I write this, I cannot wait for my leftovers for lunch today! And on that note, the serving is quite large (as most others reported in their reviews) heavy, and filling. Again, don't overfill on the garlic knots! My wife's order got screwed up and they brought out the wrong thing! Arggg! Apparently the 2 items are on the menu right next to each other and the waiter must have misunderstood. No worries, we weren't starving after having the garlic knots and salad, so I started my meal while they remade hers. In the interim, the manager came by, apologized and offered to buy us dessert. I appreciated his proactive approach. Then shortly after that, our waiter came by and apologized for the mishap too. By the time I was finishing up my lasagna, hers came out. It was served piping hot and was quite tasty and very rich. She ended up taking home about half. After we were finished eating, they brought over the dessert menu and we decided to take home a slice of the chocolate mousse cake ($6.95) since we were pretty stuffed. Of course, the slice was on the house. The slice was huge and definitely big enough to share. I ended up eating some of it later in the evening and it was quite tasty. Oh, and we were able to use a 20% off coupon that we'd received in the mail, which helped bring down the cost a little bit. My only complaint, other then the fact that 1 of our orders got mixed up, was that our waiter didn't give us some to-go marinara sauce to dip our leftover garlic knots. Which we'd asked for. Argg! I should've checked the box since our waiter seems like he may have been a little bit absent-minded. He was very pleasant and friendly otherwise. Although, some of these reviews for Ipps suck (those that write completely useless reviews like; The food was good and so was our server. We'll be back) don't let the haters fool you. You can have a bad experience at even your favorite restaurant from time to time. Ultimately, we'll be back!

We've been here a few times now and always had a good experience. The staff is always friendly and the food and prices are great. The garlic rolls are fantastic! Odd that it's right next door to an Olive Garden. You can either wait in line at Olive Garden or go to Ipps and get italian food that is 100 times better.

Last night I was reminded of the reason I don't eat here much. The food's good but most of the staff and servers act like they are doing you a favor to acknowledge your prescience. With many Italian restaurants in the area you'd think they'd be happy to have your business. There is a reason that Olive Garden and Carrabba's have a queue. I will be joining one for the next few years.

Overall: Ippolitos is your average local Italian stop. Great family atmosphere and lots of choices. The decor is homey and Italian themed with pictures of Italy and beer signs. The service was great for our large party. Appetizers: Garlic rolls and marinara sauce come with each meal. They are spectacular and the sauce is an added bonus. The rolls are probably the highlight of the entire eating experience at Ipps. Try to save room for your meal! The entree: I ordered Spaghetti and meatballs with Marinara sauce. You can choose a sauce and type of noodles for $10.95. Raviolis and other stuffed shells cost extra. The meatballs were an extra $3.95. The cost is a little on the high side in my opinion but the portions are huge. I have a large take home box. Also each dish comes with a salad. I ordered salad and it was quite delicious. As for the spaghetti, it was average. The sauce was your typical bland tomato sauce, but it did the trick. The meatballs were not worth the extra $3.95, they were rather bland. The overall experience was good and Ipps is much better than Olive Garden across the parking lot. Your best bet for Italian food in the area. Warning: No draft beer, which was quite disappointing considering all the beer decor, which makes it hard to resist a pint. Glasses are chilled however, to give it that draft like appeal.

Looking around for a place to eat and stumbled onto this place, I'm glad we did. Great atmosphere, we ate at the bar to avoid the wait. Bring a jacket with the door next to the bar it gets chilly! The service was great, and the rolls made me feel tiny! When my calzone came I felt even smaller! Everything was delicious and very inexpensive. I recommend this for anyone looking for a great place to eat!

Over the years I have eaten at this restaurant many times. I have tried everything from spaghetti, to the calzones, to the meat lasagna and I have never had a bad dish or waiter experience. My wife is a vegetarian and she eats some rendition of eggplant and has not had a bad meal. The portions are big enough to give you leftovers if you eat the bread and salad. The desserts are so big that my wife and always have to share.

Went here for dinner last week (been a little busy and writing reviews wasn't top priority)... anyways, went here for dinner because we were given a $25 gift certificate for Christmas. I was a little perturbed because there were so many restrictions with the gift certificate (food more than $35, 18% gratuity added, only Monday - Thursday durin dinner hours, etc.). So we go in and the place is empty. I mean, nobody but us. We are seated immediately. Our not so friendly waitress takes our drink & brings us rolls order while we ponder on an appetizer. Oh, and the rolls really aren't anything to write home about. We decided to order "The Pepe", which is Spicy Italian sausage wrapped in dough, brushed with honey, baked and served on a bed of Ipp's marinara. Sounds nasty, honey & marinara... it's GOOD! For dinner, I had tortellini in alfredo sauce and hubby had chicken parm. The portions there are huge, I have to give em that. My tortellini was really good and hubby enjoyed his chicken. For dessert we had Black & White cake, which is Black and White Dark chocolate cake layers filled with rich cream and dark Belgian chocolate shavings topped with fudge icing and Belgian chocolate. The fudge on top was WAY too sweet. Overall, the food was okay, our waitress sucked and I don't think we'd go back unless we had another coupon.

My family and I ended up at Ippolito's for dinner Friday because there was non wait and we wanted Italian food. I waited 50 minutes for a side side after 3 requests that was serve on a hot-out-of-the-dishwasher plate, which I sent back. Wife ordered a dinner salad with salmon which appeared separately (different times on different plates). At least the salad plate was cold. My veal Marsala was tough and and the sauce was gummy. Our waitress was young inattentive, and seemingly unable to multi-task. 2 hours later we finally escaped. What a waste of time and money.

You can't go wrong with dinner at Ipp's! We've been eating here for years and find it consistently great. Maybe it's because our 4-year-old prefers the Olive Garden on the other side of the parking lot, so we're usually dragging him into Ipp's as he's begging to go to Olive Garden. So, by the time we get in the door at Ipp's we're completely over it and just ready to eat. Nah, I think it's because the food is amazing!! Any of their nightly entree specials are a solid choice, but their standard pasta dishes are good as well. I would say save some room for dessert, but after you feast on those delicious garlic rolls you'll barely have room for half of your entree! Not to worry - your server will pack up a to-go box for you, and then you can choose a slice of any one of the beautiful, scrumptious, mile-high cakes or pies to go.

Ippolito's is one of a small handful of delicious Italian restaurants in the Kennesaw area. They have everything you could want of traditional style eatings: from pasta to veal to pizza and so on. I've gained a lot of weight eating here. Their lasagna is one of my favorites around. I also like the endless salad bowl, similar to what a lot of places of this style have to offer. They also bring you bowls of hot garlic rolls that practically melt in your mouth. Its almost scary. The decor is what you'd probably imagine from a suburban-serving Italian joint. Little tables and regular ambiance. The servers are mostly suburban white girls right out of high school.

  • Marissa H.

Ippolito's is a great, family restaurant. They have amazing dishes and they are one of my favorite restaurants! They are much better than any of those Italian chain restaurants and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves Italian!!

  • Ashley L.

This place gets 5 stars for their dessert alone! Unbelievable is the only word I can think of to describe it! Their food is pretty good too and their wine selection is better than most smaller restaurants. I also don't think I've ever had bad service here. I almost always go with the create your own pasta and my husband favors the Stromboli. This place gets a decent amount of my business and would highly recommend it to anyone.

The rolls were the best I've ever had! The entrees were made to order chicken parm was out of this world and the eggplant parm was different (not fried) but really good. Puts Olive Garden across the parking lot to shame... Except for the salad. The dressing was good but salad lacked veggies. Great date night place. Not exactly made for kids but by far best Italian I've had

Not sure what happened here, we used to love it. I would normally give them a pass for the weirdo staff but 4 hours later and all we can taste is salt. I will not be back for a while.

Easily one of the better places to eat in Kennesaw. The rolls are legit. Pay no attention to the dumb reviewer that thinks she is funny. The linguini broccoli is highly recommended

This was the email I sent them, My Husband and I recently ate at your Kennesaw Ippolito's for the first time. We searched online for a good Italian Restaurant with a good rating (4.2 star) We found. We are GA residents moved from NY and have been looking for a new "Go to Italian" place in Kennesaw where we live. We arrived during Dinner hours. First impressions: Why were the doors made left to stand open? We entered (along with the flies & Humidity) and waited and stood there until someone finally chose to greet us. Take a seat : With such an array of areas to seat us, we were stuck at the first awkward row of seating. We were never given a choice and were subject to servers passing us constantly. I sat down and the first visual I had was the ripped chair across from me with a huge chunk/gouge missing from the back. Just beyond the chair I had a view of the disgusting overfilled garbage can. Looking further I noticed the garbage and filth which had obviously, Disgustingly accrued beneath the Desert case (Of all places). Over my left shoulder was a view of the filthy carpet. I knew the odor was coming from Humidity/Carpet with the front doors being placed in a wide open full time position. I wanted to leave then, but did not want to make a scene being out with my Husband on our 22 Anniversary dinner. Instead I picked up a menu. The menu as well as the table had a greasy unclean coating. Time to order: We started as we always do with fried "Tender" as Menu Stated Calamari (Where available). These were definitely small ring, None with Tentacles and way over cooked. I refuse to eat rubber. I ate a couple pieces and made the huge mistake of trying to use the accompanied marinara. After 2 pieces my mouth was on fire. I called the waiter to question him and was told that they put a lot of crushed red pepper in it. Are you kidding? Why would you do that? Crushed red pepper is usually left on the table to add if desired. I refused to eat anymore Calamari. My Husband ate it while I ate my salad. For dinner my Husband ordered the Veal Parm. and I ordered The 1/2 Eggplant 1/2 Chicken Parm. I was the only one who ate the salad. Obviously bottled dressing and stale crouton. The silverware here was a joke. I think I have the same thin cheap ones I purchased at SAM's for our cookouts. Time to eat: Our meals were served. The plates came out Hot and the food barely fit the plate. (Plates with edging are much better and nicer) People need room to eat. When I say food I really mean sauce. There was so much sauce on the plate that the food was floating. I asked the server for fresh grated cheese and was told that you don't have that either. Just the stuff sitting in a glass jar on the table. I Cut into the Eggplant and the first thing I noticed is that no one removed the bitter black skin. I cut into the chicken which was paper thin. I then proceeded to eat some of each. I can tell you that I refused to eat any further. Neither the Eggplant nor the Chicken were seasoned. The sauce was unseasoned as well. No sign of Garlic or fresh Basil anywhere. There was so much sauce that the wetness actually made the coating of the chicken, Eggplant as well as my Husbands Veal fall off into it. You shouldn't have to hide food with sauce or cheese. About 10 minutes into eating, the waiter had already asked my husband if he wanted his half to go. My Husband said yes he was full. (Remember I made him eat that plate of Calamari because I refused to). Upon returning with my Husbands food he immediately grabbed (hand touching) my plate in front of me. My Husband immediately protested his action because he just went for it without asking if I was even done. We had only been served our meals about 10 minutes ago. The server just looked and walked away with no comment. When I moved my plate to the other side of the table (after he touched it) it was still piping hot. (Talk about rude). The waiter walked over and asked me if I now wanted the food to go. I looked at him and said "WHY would I take something home that I wouldn't eat here?" He just looked and said "ok". Never asking us if we wanted desert, (Not that I would eat any with my view) our server simply just brought the bill. I also joked with my Husband at the fact that you could hear other servers asking if patrons wanted drinks to go. However, my Husband was never offered. We joked in the car over how fast we were rushed through our entire meal as well as wondering "Do Inspections from GA state even happen here?" and how we were now left lots of time to go see a movie. One thing we did agree on was "Never Again" Italian at made in my own kitchen is far better and far cleaner. I have taken my time to tell you. Hopefully you will take your time to address the issues there. Maybe its poorly managed and you need to do a surprise inspection. I have enclosed pictures. The plate of food is what I left because I couldn't eat

This is a great place. We wonder why people go to the olive garden next door when they can go to ippolito's and get real food. the bread is awesome, and yes we also ask for more right before we leave just so we can continue to eat them over the week. i know its wrong, but if they didnt want that to happen, they shouldnt make their garlic knots so good. the calamari is so-so, but everything else is great. they can bring down the heat on the marinara, as sometimes they load it up with crushed peppers. all in all, the best italian place around. btw, the pictures of the calzone showing the calzone ballooned up is not because of air when they bake it. the thing is really stuffed to the hilt. i was almost going to give them 4 stars because when they get busy, sometimes the wait staff seems a little discombobulated. however, i cant really fault that, as they are really hustling. maybe a little training, but i can deal.

We have never had a bad meal at the Ippolito's on Roswell Road and go up to Barrett Pkwy fairly often so decided to try this location. So glad we did! The Chicken Marsala was fabulous, even when reheated for a second meal. Delicious. And, being long time fans of the calzones and stromboli, we decided to try a good ole pepperoni pizza, which great from the toppings to the crust. Very pleased. (The slice of cake was a bit smaller than the slices from Roswell Road but maybe that's a good thing. . Again, YUM!). 5 stars for Ipps!

We went on a Saturday evening for the first time and it was busy. Good sign! But shortly after the place started to wear on us a little. Waiting 45 minutes in a poorly air conditioned place is crazy. If I was not with family we would of left, but we sweated it out for family sake! Now the food: the garlic rolls are not garlic rolls... More like Pillsbury rolls in the tube with a lot of Romano cheese and parsley on them... No Garlic or butter WTF! As for the salads just skip them, Caesar and house are both absolutely horrible. For the main course skip the Alfredo and some chicken w/ shrimp entree cooked in garlic and butter ( the smell made everyone nauseous and smelled like a cheap strip club). The Chicken Parmesan and Stromboli were just ok at best. Not to crazy about the heartburn and burping up taste a couple of hours after! I will say the portions are large for the dollar and you will not find anyone here on Jenny Craig or a points system! I speak for everyone in my family when I say.... We drove by this place for 13 years and never stopped in and it will be longer for our second visit! Please take tums before you go and bring a cold wet towel to use when waiting for your sub-par dining experience.

The garlic knots.... and again the garlic knots and when you think once more oh those garlicy, gooey, cheesy garlic knots... great now I want one! BIG fan of this place!!! come here as much as I can! My Aunt from Dubai comes every summer and we go here like twice a week. IT IS SO GOOD! Never had a bad meal here. My fav is the greek salad with chicken, the eggplant rolentini appetizer, their cream pesto sauce for any of the pastas, shrimp scampi, the linguine with white clam sauce... I think I eat here too much... BUT it is my fav Italian place! Don't go to Olive Garden next door spend like $10 bucks more and eat here! WORTH IT!

HOT! Although I am fully aware I am getting older and as my husband would put it "HORMONAL" but for once it was definitely not hot flashes this time! This place seriously needs to do something about the air...especially during a Georgia August humid day! The hostess might want to refresh on her math skills! I'm pretty sure 25mins isn't the same as 6:30 pm check in to 7:30 pm seating...even my 6yr olds figured that one out while I was fanning them with a menu while waiting. Now to the food....how in the hell do you screw up angel hair pasta and Alfredo? I mean my kids think McDonalds is good but they wouldn't even eat their food here I really do not need to elaborate further on that! FYI- just because you put a bunch a parsley on all your food doesn't mean you are fancy I'm pretty sure garlic rolls are suppose to have garlic and butter. I will NEVER go back to this place! They make Olive Garden look like La Grotta Ristorante Italiano.

I hadn't been here in several years and I was slightly disappointed in the experience. The main dishes were actually quite good as well as the desserts (million layer cake & cannoli was fantastic)! The calamari app was inedible... The pieces were cut very large and they were extremely rubbery and hard to chew... Ew! We sent it back and the waitress removed it from the check. I ordered a cappuccino and it was ice cold . The eggplant lasagna and chicken & shrimp cavatelli- both were very flavorful and filling.

Oh jeez. I dream about this place. I would give myself a marinara facial in a heart beat! On second thought, lets just go with a tub full of the stuff. After I'm done bathing in it, I'll smear it anything handy to eat. The garlic rolls are fab-u-lous. The cannelloni. Oh, the cannelloni had me when that plate of bubbly deliciousness was placed in front of me for the first time. I've had a hard time trying other things on the menu ever since. The clam sauce is fantastic and the aglio-e-olio is something special all on its own. But I digress. Me? Just give me another basket of the rolls, please, and keep the marinara comin'!

I really love this place! Garlic Knots are amazing! Mmm. With a lil sauce. Staff is always friendly! I'd have gone 4 stars if not for thier recent Health Dept. score... Not banded yet... But disappointed for sure!

I will make this short and, well, saucy ;-) The garlic rolls are DANGEROUS! If you eat too many, you won't touch your entree. I usually get the wheat penne pasta with broccoli and chicken topped with their garlic olive oil sauce. YUM. I ALWAYS have left overs when I leave here and I am ALWAYS ready for a nap!

We just left for my Mother's Day dinner and I am very disappointed. I was really excited to come here from the amazing reviews i read. The biggest reason I did not enjoy our dinner because the temperature in the restaurant was sweltering! The temp was 85 outside and it must have been close to 90 inside. I asked our waitress to do something about the heat and her response was "I know I've been here all day" Our appetizer was the fried calamari - which was excellent, although we had to ask for a side of lemon which usually comes with the dish, but missing from ours. Our garden salads were mediocre! A pile of iceberg lettuce with a couple of sliced cucumbers. When the waitress asked what dressing I wanted I said the balsamic one.... Instead of getting a vinegarette, all I got was balsamic vinegar - not even any oil. The whole presentation...If that's the kind if salad your gonna serve don't even bother! My husband loved his veal Parmesan and my Gorgonzola tortellini was good. The portions were huge and we were able to bring home leftovers for lunch tomorrow. If the review was based on the food we would have given them 4 stars, but based on how uncomfortable we were because of the atmosphere it's down to a three. All the patrons around me were sweating as well. The servers hair was visible wet from sweat. It's not even summer yet. We are not sure if we will be back but if we do it will be during the winter.

Went back to Ipps the other day and service was okay, a bit better than last time, but the dishes were not clean and that's minus a star. We had to ask for new bread plates because they were visibly dirty. My drink glass was also not clean. I was not very happy with this visit. The garlic roll were not that great either, not much of a garlic taste and they were too crunchy. It also took a long time for our food to come out, even though they weren't that busy... I had the eggplant parm sandwich with fries and my friend had the cheese tortellini and alfredo... Next time I'll stick to pasta, the eggplant was okay, the fries were yummy. I'm use to this restaurant's inconsistency, but I'm not a fan of dirty dishes. Also one of the managers added a table onto ours in the middle of our dinner. I think better protocol would be to wait until we're done eating before making our table unnecessarily longer because another party didn't show up and you had to break down the tables. Guess it was an off night for Ipps, but AGAIN hopefully the next time I go back it'll be better.

We come here quite regularly every time we're hungry for Italian food. Its so hard to try a new restaurant because the quality of both the food and service is amazing! They change up their specialties quite often, today they offered meatloaf which was something new I hadn't seen offered before. I had their Chicken Marsala and the sauce was so rich and flavorful....wowee! You can never go wrong with their Chicken Parmigiana, its one of my husband's favorites. Its a huge portion and not expensive at all. No matter the time of day or how busy it can get, we always get the best service as well.

Excellent food. I've been to another Ippolito's before, and as always, the rolls are always outstanding. After looking over the menu a few minutes, I decided what I wanted to get. I went with the Chicken and Spinach Cannelloni without the tomato sauce. It definitely made it way better without the tomato sauce as there was a huge piece of cheese, or cheeses covering my cannellonis. Inside the cannelonis were chopped spinach, chicken with mozzarella, parmigiana, and ricotta cheeses. Very nicely sized portion that I got. I got a salad which came with my meal, and some caesar dressing, and my salad was just drenched in dressing. It was a little unbearable to eat, but I ate it anyhow. The salad didn't taste fresh, and on top of that my salad was drenched which is why I'm giving it four stars. Service was very good, and the desserts looked excellent. I was just too full to try any of them. Definitely will be coming back to this Ippolito's, and other Ippolito's around Georgia.

Ate here with the family 11/24. My son had the calamari which was chewy and flavorless. My wife and daughter both had spaghetti which was overcooked then served barely warm. My Chicken Piccata was just ok. My garden salad arrived full of water in the bowl. Instead of offering a replacement the waitress, when I pointed it out, merely made an excuse. "That happens sometimes when they get the last of the lettuce out of the container it's in, there's sometimes a lot of water at the bottom." Really? Somehow that makes it ok? Then we barely saw her during our meal and we were sitting right next to the the stand they use to place orders and ring out tickets. And she was kind enough to bring me a second Coke, at the same time she brought the check. Last time we step foot in there.

Wow. This place is great. If I could, I would eat here every day, but would also probably gain a thousand pounds because the food is so rich and the portions are definitely generous. I've been here to eat 2 or 3 times before, but wanted to wait until I had a more recent visit in my memory to give a true picture of how I felt about it. Summary: I am a big fan. I went here with one other person later on a weeknight - this is a pretty decent family place, so I think it gets a little more crowded at 'typical' dinner time (5:30 or 6:00). We were seated quickly. Our waiter was really nice and attentive, but not too in-your-face. Man oh man, those rolls. Those hot garlic butter rolls. They are amazing. So hot, fresh, garlicky, buttery with a little Parmesan on top. With a perfect marinara for dipping. These things are the real deal. Seriously - worth going here just for the rolls. I ordered the chicken & spinach cannelloni with the cardinale sauce (instead of the marinara). The waiter let me know it would be a $.95 upcharge for the sauce substitution - a little nickle-and-dime in my opinion, but I did appreciate that he let me know instead of just tacking it on the bill. I got the Caesar salad - pretty standard, the romaine was fresh, not too much dressing, fresh croutons. It was good. Here's where the snafu comes in - my husband's lasagna came out, along with an order of chicken stuffed shells. The waiter had put in the wrong order. But they seriously redeemed themselves. The manager came out and apologized profusely, said they were working on my food, and offered to give us complimentary dessert. The waiter also came out and apologized. Overall, they treated us really well despite the mistake, and to be honest, I wasn't starving after my rolls and salad, so I just enjoyed my wine in the meantime. My cannelloni was out in less than 10 minutes. So worth the wait. I'm really glad I subbed the sauce because to me, the cardinale (mixture of marinara and Alfredo) is the best of both worlds. My food was hot and cheesy, and SO good. It was so rich and a good sized portion, so I only ended up eating half and taking half home with me. We were too full to eat the complimentary dessert the manager offered us, so we ended up taking a HUGE slice of the chocolate mousse cake home with us. I had it today and it was pretty amazing. I realized they made a mistake with my order, but they handled it so gracefully that it really didn't impact my opinion. The food is great, service is good, reasonably priced for good Italian. It really baffles me why anyone would even bother with Olive Garden across the parking lot.

food is okay. better than olive garden (ugh!) and since there's not much in this part of town we eat here occasionally. pizza is not good at all, its too doughy. pasta's are okay, i mean its spaghetti with gobs of marinara on it and some garlic rolls for dipping. its okay if we are in the area shopping, but would never drive to go here.

This is good food, some of the best Italian I've found around Atlanta. My only issue is they need to find a special "room" for the screaming, bouncing kids. I swear my last visit had to be during a holiday for un-wed mothers of 5.

Definitely one of the best Italian restaurants in the Atlanta area. When I first ate there I thought to myself "Why have I been wasting my time by going to Olive Garden next door?" I've gone here several times and I LOVE their bread. I have yet to find anything I didn't like there.

Pretty sad.

I love their Italian food! It is very tasty and well portioned! Their garlic knots are amazing!

Their customer service is not as good as Olive Garden but their food is better than Olive Garden for sure.

The servers are mostly suburban white girls right out of high school.

food is okay. better than olive garden (ugh!) and since there's not much in this part of town we eat here occasionally. pizza is not good at all, its too doughy. pasta's are okay, i mean its spaghetti with gobs of marinara on it and some garlic rolls for dipping. its okay if we are in the area shopping, but would never drive to go here.

This is good food, some of the best Italian I've found around Atlanta. My only issue is they need to find a special "room" for the screaming, bouncing kids. I swear my last visit had to be during a holiday for un-wed mothers of 5.

Ippolito's is a great, family restaurant. They have amazing dishes and they are one of my favorite restaurants! They are much better than any of those Italian chain restaurants and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves Italian!!

WORTH IT!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
