Recently tried some of the new menu items and it was truly delicious. There are many gluten free and paleo options on the menu as well non restrictive options. Many of the dinner entrees are so generous in portion size that it can easily feed 2 people. At an $8-$12 price point, it's an extraordinary deal for a meal that's equivalent to one served in a high end restaurant.
The food here is really something. Cuidado! Fresh, good, seasonal, and delicious things to eat here! There are entrees, soups, side dishes, things you can use to create amuse bouches or even just eat with crackers as a snack. It's a catering service I think, the place is pretty spartan in the front with a bunch of fridges lined up against the wall and shelving with pre-packaged items, but I've only stopped by here in person to browse the fridges and take some goodies home. I've had dishes like osso buco, curried chicken, vegan meals (i'ma meat eater, so to get me to eat a vegan dish is somewhat of a feat in and of itself), mac & cheese, broccoli rabe, casserole dishes, just really consistently fresh and well crafted food here. You can tell they actually care about their food as a meal and a product. I'm not sure if they are just cutting back but there used to be interesting savory crackers and exotic honeys and preserves/jams/spreads you could buy not readily available anywhere else, but the most recent time I went (about a week ago? two weeks?) there were only crackers and a nut medley on the shelves. There aren't any special drinks or any type of drink sold here tho, but it's only a mild inconvenience as the food here more than makes up for that. Everything is obviously stored in refrigeration, so you can just stick it in the fridge when you get home and take a pack to work the next day, still tastes really great.
Wonderful local business. Food is phenomenal. Properly portioned meals to meat most dietary needs. Highly recommend!!

I love their mission, breads, muffins, cinnamon rolls, bars, dips and soups. This place has a very friendly owner. I go to this place a couple times a week and recommend their products to people because of the healthy ingredients they use. I do appreciate that aspect. And they donate their leftovers to a charity food shelter every night, I heard. It's places like that I like to support. Thank you Ray, for your reply and customer service and quality ingredients. I appreciate it.
Love this place. There just isn't anything at this place that is not good. Love the quality of their breads and how awesomely fresh everything is. These people make bread a health food again!
My gosh!!! This place is great! I went there for lunch. We got there early. ..like 11:45...before the crowd...you are first greeted with a tray of samples of their sweets...then they offer you complimentary bread...and not just any regular bread. Like bread with embedded white chocolate...and herb crusted... I got the chicken salad sandwich on focaccia bread...heated with provolone cheese. It was great. My coworkers all enjoyed their meals as well. Wound up purchasing a cranberry crumble that was absolutely fantastic. All in all I definitely suggest coming here...great service great food.

Just simply outstanding, was invited by a long time friend to meet him there. He's told me about the spaghetti and meatballs. They didn't disappoint, health portion, and presented well. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The only down fall for me was the selection of beer. Had the local 420 by sweet water. A stellar choice, just wish they had more. Tried the lemon chello, hopefully I spelled that right, great after dinner drink, however, don't drink more than two, they can sneak up on you. Great experience overall. Can't wait to come back in a few weeks and try some of their specials.
Carpaccio & Polpo are recommended although the Polpo was a little too salted. Pretty good wine selection. Cape Sante - scallions were perfect, balsamic sauce is a thick/rich taste (heads up for those who might not like that) Orecchiette is a good blend of meat and veggies. Cannelloni is good - looked more like an enchilada? Overall pretty consistent as an Italian restaurant. Wish an ESPRESSO was offered post dinner instead of coffee and quite bad actually. But if you are craving Italian food, go here.
One word SALTY. I ordered the pasta with chicken and asparagus. The pasta was bland but holy hell the chicken was salty AF. Husband ordered chicken in some kind of spinach sauce and that chicken was salty too! I gave it 2 stars because the appetizers were actually decent and the complimentary bread and marinara sauce. Service was ok, though we noticed other people who had arrived after we did get more attention and their food and drinks faster. We witness a waiter was having a 5 minute conversation with a customer about his life story while another customer was trying to get his attention. Seating was inconvenient, seated on a table by the bar and the bar was packed so there was random people standing at our table so it was like they were having dinner with us. Except they weren't eating. Since the food was so salty I had a lot of water to drink to counter balance the salt so I went to the bathroom. It was very very very dark hallway. I had to feel the walls just to get to the bathroom which was hard to tell which one was woman's and men's until I saw a guy leaving one. So I waited for the other door since it was one commode bathroom. The hostess came out of the bathroom and turned off all the lights just as I was waiting outside the door. Doubt we will be back.

All the reviews of this place crack me up. You poor, pitiful ITP yelpers, having to make the trek to Johns Creek for good pizza. Like Johns Creek is in the boonies or something, with the cow pastures and stuff. Have you seen the demographics of this place? It is nothing but displaced yankees who were forced to relocate here for their executive jobs, living in eight bedroom homes in the country clubs. Comes as no surprise that you'll find some delicious eats up this way. But I digress... The cat is out of the bag about Verra Zanno. We came for lunch today and they were full at slightly before noon. We sat at the bar and watched while the pizzas came out of the oven. Just amazing stuff. Quality ingredients and attention to detail that you don't find elsewhere. I went with the lunch special stromboli. I don't often order these, so I don't have a lot to compare it to. But it was tasty and lacked the grease I'm used to. The pizza looks amazing. I regret not ordering a slice or two. I'll hold off on declaring this place the best until I can try an entire pie. But I think it is safe to say VZ ranks among the best around.
God bless you, my fellow Yelp comrades who gave this place high reviews and tipped me off to its very existence. As I've mentioned in previous reviews, I am new to Georgia, having spent the last 12+ years in Chicago. Being from Chicago, one would assume I like the deep dish pies the Windy City is famous for, but truth be told, I don't care for Chicago style pizzas. They are too heavy on the bread and cheese and not enough on the sauce and toppings. One slice and you're ready to call it a night. Therefore, I am a huge fan of New York style pizza. It's floppy, doughy, drenched in sauce and covered in gooey cheese and delicious toppings in all the right ratios. That's the kind of pizza pie I literally crave and dream about. Unfortunately, ever since we moved here, I have not found a really good NY-style pizza place that satisfies my caveman-like urge for amazingly delicious pizza. We stumbled upon Mellow Mushroom, and while they have great quality and a funky theme, their kind of pizza just doesn't hit that sweet spot for me. I continued my quest for a great pizza and was not satisfied with anything we tried until tonight. I fell in love with Verra-Zanno the minute I walked into the lobby and the intoxicating aroma of freshly baked pizzas filled my lungs. I looked around and saw an establishment that was full of happy and smiling customers. Several of whom commented on how adorable they thought my 1-year old son was. I looked over at the manager and he gave me a warm, genuine smile as I approached the to-go counter. I gave him my name while the cashier took my credit card. For just $23, I got a 14" bacon and pineapple and a 10" crumbled sausage and blanched mushroom. V-Z is a little bit of a hike from my house and the pizza smelled so good that I had to fight the urge to eat a slice all the way home. When we finally ate the pizza, we savored every bite, closing our eyes and making sounds that may have resembled something from the bedroom and not the kitchen, but we couldn't help it. This pizza is simply that good. After this long of a pizza drought, we were in a state of bliss. The ingredients were all very fresh and full of flavor. The crust was that perfect thickness of thin, but just enough to support itself without being crunchy. The sauce was tangy without being overpowering (although next time, I will order a cup of it for dipping my crusts into), the cheese was creamy and delicious and the meat toppings were all Boar's Head brand (which you can't really do better than that). I cannot wait to come back and try some of their pastas, chicken parmigiana and other pizzas.
Great find. Ate here tonight with the family and could not have been more pleased. Salads were fresh, bread was amazing and our dishes were delicious. Had the eggplant parmigiana and the chicken parmigiana. What I loved about our entrees were that they were not overloaded with breading as if to mask a flavor. They were light and so tasteful. Waitress was so attentive and nice. We had some leftovers and she wrote on the box what was inside and the date. Nice extra touch. Will definitely become a regular spot for our family!
