La Parrilla has a few locations but none as consistent as the one in Fayetteville. Long established and well maintained this sizable restaurant serves up tasty and traditional Ameri-mex dishes with the staple fajita, taco, chimichangas, burritos, with the usual sides like mexican rice and black beans. They have some seafood items as well to round out the typical offerings. The staff here is plentiful, friendly, and attentive in all things from ordering to handling pesky toddler requests. The prices are on par with the portions so you won't feel like you got handed a raw deal when you receive the bill, but you definitely pay for what you do get. I'd recommend this as a solid lunch spot and possible margarita fix, the drink specials look like a deal, just be mindful of timing on Sundays or Wednesday as this place is a hub for the church crowd.

This is our go-to place for Mexican food. We have never been disappointed with the service, the food, or the price. The chips are always fresh, the salsa is good, and the draft beer is cold. We usually get the Texas fajitas for one and split it because the portion is really enough for two. I also recommend the fish tacos and the guacamole. This restaurant is usually crowded and we have sat at the bar before to avoid the wait for a table. We actually enjoyed this as well. The service at the bar is fantastic. You really can't go wrong if you chose to eat here.

Best Texas margarita! Thinnest, warmest, freshest chips. Everything comes out fast. The band is a nice touch. Can't go wrong with the fish tacos or quesadillas. I almost forgot to mention the table side guacamole. I am trying real hard not to mention my favorite server in Carlos, because I don't want to share... But he is the very best !!!

This place is okay. Not bad service and food is okay. I have lived near the area for over a year and only went once. There a couple of places near the area that serve .Mexican cuisine a little better than this place. It's okay for lunch but I would not put my money near this place for dinner.

Customer service was okay. The restaurant appeared to be very clean. The food came out hot without a long wait. However, the food didn't have a great finger licking taste. It tasted somewhat bland about 50/50. In conclusion, if you need something to eat than this is the place. On the other hand hand, if your in the mood for something tasty, and possibly unique in flavor, I wouldn't recommend going here.

We were in town for a house hunting trip in the Fayetteville area and happened upon this place. We loved it. My wife and I had fajitas and we were talking about them all night. The veggies were delicious and cooked perfectly as was the steak I had and the shrimp my wife had. My mom had one of the combos. The beer was cold and delicious. We will be back.

Lunch time pretty busy. Seating and service was quick. Our waitress was on the ball refilling chips, salsa, and sodas. I ordered the enchiladas verde. On its own, the verde sauce tasted a little sweet, but it worked with the meal. Refried beans tasted very good as did the salsa. Having eaten Mexican food in the southwest, this place scores 3 on an absolute scale. For local Atlanta food, it rates a solid 4+.

Love, love love the new menu. I went yesterday and had the best experience I have ever had at this La Parilla. Sallie was my server and she was efficient and knowledgeable regarding the new changes. I got the Texas Fajitas and I always order my meat rare since it continues cooking on the sizzling plate and ask for my peppers and onions not to be overcooked ("burned"). Well everything was cooked so perfectly that I had to ask to speak to the manager and to compliment the chef. The steak was just right and the chicken and shrimp were not rubbery, the veggies still had some kick to them with no burnt taste. Turns out the cook was the manager Edgar. Edgar can cook for me any day! In fact, I am taking a friend there tomorrow for her birthday at lunch. Sure hope Edgar will be cooking! LOL!

This was my 2nd time dining here. I don't think I truly appreciated the 1st visit a couple of years ago. I was part of a large group. This time it was me & my husband. The service was fast & nice. Chips & salsa were excellent & our food was gr8!! Chicken chimichanga is really good. They could hav held bak on the chicken a little tho. The steak, chicken & shrimp fajits was excellent also. We were stuffed. Will definitely go bak!!

Great food and drinks! I can always count in this place! They are consistent in there service and food preparation! I have been coming here for years and have not had one bad experience! And try the Mango Margarita...YUMMY! Along with the best burger in Fayetteville...the La Parrilla Burger...so good!

I believe just about everybody's covered it. This is basically the best run restaurant you could imagine. As a rule, there are always polite and professional and sometimes TOO quick getting your order out. The bar is very popular with locals due to their pleasant and hip staff. The best damned Texas margaritas ever. I need to say something not totally kissing the ass of these people who take care of me but I can't.

This is one of my (and my sister's) favorite Mexican spots in Metro Atlanta. I take away one star due to the long waits and often times the bathroom is not clean enough. I have walked it over to Publix rather than use the one here. I have never had anything on the menu here that I did not like, The food is always hot, flavorful and you can usual take a box home with you. They have great deals on Pitcher's of alcoholic beverages. There is some times a band playing for your entertainment, LIVE! They are a little loud though so be mindful of where you sit if you want a little quiet time. Try a combo to get a feel for all of the different things that they have to offer and bring your patience with you if coming out on the weekend. It's easily a 30-40 minute wait on a Friday or Saturday evening. Parties of two are usually seated quicker. And yes there is outdoor seating and you can also sit at the bar as well.

La Parrilla has always been consistent for me with the drinks, the food. Nothing special but consistent. This location seems to be a little more neighborhood in it's feeling. The wait staff is quick & friendly I'd recommend if you are in the area.

I know. A "La Parilla." Chain-bred Tex-Mex. But I have to give them props. I had a bowl of the Sopa de Papa, a potato soup with ground beef and a few slices of fresh avocado. It was delicious. Totally hit the spot. And our order was served VERY quickly. I mean, I hadn't even finished saying "thank you" to our waitress before my soup bowl hit the table. That quick. AND they kept our glasses full. So yeah, I would not be opposed to visiting again.

Hands down the best Texas margaritas in town.

This is one of my favorite restaurants to eat at. The food is delicious and worth every buck. The service is worth tipping. The atmosphere is awesome and welcoming. I would recommend this place to a friend.

Good food choices. Went there on the afternoon just before high school graduation and it was crowded. Staff was efficient in getting us seated and waited on. The food came out quickly and was very good. The only downside was that they had maybe 20% of the imported beers that were on the menu. Overall, a good experience.

What is happening to this restaurant? Been a regular for quite some time. Walk in tonight, place is empty and we are on a wait. Management is falling down on the job properly staffing. Need to get it together. 3 people at the hostess stand and for what? That being said we eventually got a table and our server was very attentive.

My favorite small chain of Mexican restaurants in GA. I always order the taco loco, which is essentially a taco salad - a huge taco shell made out of flaky crust, ground beef, cheese, tomato, lettuce, and drizzled with melted cheese. So good!

  • Paul H.

Good place to grab some Mexican food and a drink. However, the drinks could be a little stronger for my tastes. Food always tastes fresh. Mariachi band they have on some nights can be a little annoying if you're trying to carry on a conversation with you dinner mates, but it's all in good fun.

One of the better Mexican places around. The menu is HUGE! I had a quesadilla which was fantastic and the guac is made at the table. Overall much better than your stereotypical strip mall mexican joints.

  • Adam M.

one of the better smaller local chain Mexican restaurants around - great salsa and chips, quick service, ranks high on the bang-for-buck meter. I'd recommend the Taco Loco (tastes good and super cheap), a killer salad is the Monterey Salad (I opt for no dressing), and the Ensenada Fish Tacos are some of the best I've ever had.

  • Henry Y.

Service is slow!!!!! Extraaaa sloooowww!!! Which is horrible if you have toddlers waiting. We just about filled up on chips from waiting so long. I usually give places the benefit of the doubt, but they weren't even that busy. They had about 3 waitresses rolling up silverware just talking hanging out having a good time. So when we finally got our food...... it was edible. Thats all I can say. Im from SoCal and I dont know what this place is trying to do but THIS IS NOT MEXICAN FOOD, THIS IS FAKE, THERES IS NO WIZARD OF OZ, AND THAT MAN IS PLAYING GALAGA he thought we wouldnt notice but we did. (People who have seen the Avengers movie will get that reference its on netflix) Pretty much im saying they are faking.

My go to place for casual Mexican Food. The guacamole is always fresh and the food is delish! On my last visit I had the chicken quesadilla and a pomegrante margarita it was more than enough.

I've been to other La Parrilla restaurants before. The food is pretty good no matter which one you go to, and it's the same menu as all the others. Even though I live north of the city, we ventured south for Amanda's birthday, since she has a bunch of friends and family down there. I had it all planned out... get there 1.5 hours early to put in for a table for 14. Figuring it would be packed for the weekend, I figured on waiting at the bar for that long before being seated, and had the rest of the crew coming towards the end of the wait time. I got there nice and early, put in my request, and went over to the bar for a drink. Before I was done with the drink, the hostess came over to ask me if I was ready to be seated, or if I wanted to wait. Ummmm... wha??? Already???? *sigh* I told everyone to come later, so I'll wait. The service was wonderful! The food was good. the atmosphere really helped us celebrate! They even let me bring in my own cake for the party. I ended up ordering the soup with the shrimps, which was really good. I threw on two tacos for good measure. I was pretty happy with my meal, and certainly happy with the venue! Seems a bit high (4 stars) for good food and great service, but they really did go out of the way to make us happy. And that is a beautiful thing!!! Side note: I got Amanda a Justin Beiber cake... she wanted to stab it with a knife. Two of the waitresses looked heart-broken by that sentiment. lol

Understanding that my family (a party of 9) was rather large, we arrived about 5 to get a table. It was extremely busy but we were expecting that considering it was the day after Christmas. We waited 40 minutes to get seated. Our server (didn't catch her name) was extremely nice and helpful but it was the kitchen that was extremely slow. We ate through nine baskets of chips before our food arrived. It was 6:30 when our food came and my own cheese enchilada was luke warm. Some of my family really enjoyed their food but you could tell the simpler dishes had been sitting for awhile. The vegetarian options are extremely limited because the rice, beans, and sauces are cooked with chicken stock. I choose the enchilada for that reason and ordered some guacamole on the side. It was extremely mediocre, I had to add salsa to it to get more flavor. My cousin, who is also a vegetarian, ordered a salad which the menu failed to state it had cilantro in it. She's extremely allergic so it would have been nice to know that detail before our food arrived. I've been to La Parrilla before and had pleasant experiences but tonight was just not one of those nights.

I frequent this place pretty often and I keep going back for the food. I almost always get the texas fajitias because they are amazing. It's usually crowded and way too loud inside so I try to eat outside whenever feasable.

We've been to this restaurant many a time and it is always clean, fresh and friendly. The decor is mexican-y, but not over the top. They actually have some really nice decor pieces. Seating is ample, including the patio. It can get a bit loud on Friday and Saturday nights due to the crowds and live music. It's nice that they are open a little later, especially on Thursday nights. As to the food, the chips are fresh and every thing we'd tasted has been good. I'm not much of a drinker, but I am something of a sangria buff and theirs is quite good. They make an extra-good chili relleno and better than decent nachos. My personally favorite, though, is the Parilla dip: chicken, steak and shrimp in queso served with fresh pico and tortillas. Prices are reasonable. The service here is always good, too. Tonight, for example, we were greeted by two people and two additional servers welcomed us as we were led to our table. Our server was new, but did a good job and at least three seperate employees thanked us for coming on our way out. None of the employees ever looks grumpy, which is pretty miraculous, if you ask me.

This is a very popular spot in the busy Fayette Pavilion mall. I've been here more times than I can remember and the place is always consistent. Overall the place is good. Very clean place with a friendly staff. The food is good and the chips are very good with decent salsa. Nice bar area and live music on Friday/Saturday. It's by far the best Mexican in Fayetteville or Newnan. They have another location at Ashley Park which is newer and bigger. Good stuff and relatively priced.

I love their fish Tacos. They are about as good as the best I've had in Mexico. The service here is pretty good, its always busy so you naturally expect a little bit longer wait time in getting your food. For me this is nature of business You really want to get lindsey as your server

Great Food, Great Prices. I continue to visit because the food is not the typical Mexican food. Plenty to choose from on the menu and the food has great flavor. The restaurant is clean and the service is great.

I always get the Burrito de Cerdo...it's the best! I enjoy going to this location over the one in Newnan....mainly because the one in Newnan is always packed and the wait time is typically over 45 min.

Not your average Mexican restaurant - nice decor, beyond the standard menu items. The food is very tasty, the service is good, and the restaurant itself gives off an overall clean, cheery impression. Mmmm, cheese dip and margaritas ... and really good fish tacos, too!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
