We love Peter's Place. What is not to like about homemade pasta, pizza, chianti, and birra Moretti. Peter is always willing to share his personal stock of Moretti with us! My absolute favorite dish is the eggplant pomodoro from the appetizer list. My husband and I share this for an appetizer, but I have gotten this for lunch for just me. YUM! I also like his homemade fettucini with his delicious meatballs and red sauce. My husband likes to get the lasagna, manicotti, or ravioli's. If we get a pizza, we get Candy's pizza because I love the fresh basil on the pizza! Try it you will like it!

I have tried to love Peter's Place, I really have. I've been here three times now but sadly, I probably won't be returning unless someone else is footing the tab. Don't get me wrong, the owner, Peter, is so friendly and pleasant. He was a joy to talk. The staff was friendly, though both times we've been they seemed a little understaffed. Maybe two or three waitresses for the entire venue. When we ordered their cocktail specials, something about was off. Now as for the food. Garlic knots ($4.95) are yummy. I liked their red sauce better than their white sauce, and that's something to be said because I usually will always favor white creamy sauces over red sauce. The pasta is very salty...both times we've visited my dishes came out wayyyy too salty for my liking. The dishes are also overly saturated in cheese and grease. I guarantee you can tilt your plate and grease just oozes in a pool. Plus, you have to sit and stare at it for a good 5 minutes waiting for it to cool down. Hey, I love my food piping hot just like the rest of them, but I also want my tastes buds in tact. Now my fiance got the steak bomb sandwich ($8.95) and it was actually surprisingly delicious. But it left me confused as to why the pasta dishes ($11.95-$15.95) fell lax while the sandwiches were a delight. We've been here for their karaoke night with wing and beer specials, but it felt odd in the middle of a candle lit Italian restaurant.

Peter's Place used to be one of my favorite places to eat in Dublin. The food is usually very good -- their homemade noodles are almost impossible to beat. (I'm a huge fan of the alfredo here, and the spaghetti and meatballs are the best in Dublin, hands down.) With that being said, I'm not sure what's happened here, but the service has gone down hill. The owner is wonderful, super friendly people. The wait staff aren't that impressive. They are very slow and often get orders wrong. And for some reason, they have cut out house bread. It started with garlic knots, then to pizza bread, now to nothing. This is very disappointing. I am still a regular here but it needs to go back to the roots and hire better service.

Friday was our first time eating here. We traveled to Dublin to celebrate my boyfriend's sister's birthday. The garlic knots were delicious! The pizza was awesome! The menus need an upgrade and the marinara was a little sweet but otherwise everything was awesome, including the owner and staff. Nice ambiance inside at night.

Peter's Place is always a great place to go enjoy an authentic Italian meal! The wait staff is always friendly and helpful. Also, the owners Peter and Maris are amazing!! You can usually count on getting to chat with them at sometime during your meal as they frequently stop by tables to meet customers! As for the food it is always wonderful! Personally my favorite is the Red Shrimp Scampi....although I have tried many other dishes, and all have been impeccable. Peter's also has a wide variety of wine to complete your meal....my favorite is the house red. However, you can find anything you want for your own discerning taste. Now for dessert....the Tiramisu is phenomenal!! This dessert is so fabulous and always a perfect ending to a perfect meal! Although their Black Tuxedo dessert is a close second... Peter's Place is a breath of fresh air in Middle Georgia, a little piece of Italy in Dublin!! I highly recommend trying it for yourself! Enjoy!

We LOVE Peter's Place. Owner, Peter Pastore offers a fantastic menu of authentic Italian dishes. Plus, it's the only restaurant in Dublin that has Chianti. They're among the few people in town who know what Chianti is. Try the seafood scampi. Its divine.

I love dining at Peter's Place when in Middle Georgia. When you walk in, one of the owners, Peter or Maris, is there to greet you and make you feel important. They are very attentive to their customer's needs but not suffocating. Their Italian dishes are superior in quality to anything sampled in the state. Moreover, the owner is okay with adjustments to food ingredients or preparation. The atmosphere is nice, and the employees were all happy. It is a great dining experience and is highly recommended.

Authentic Italian food is a joke. I don't understand how putting a half pound of cheese on everything and having the dish swimming in grease is considered to be Italian food. The food is horrible on any scale.I don't know if positive comments are from friends and family. As bad as Olive Gardens italian food is to me, it would get 5 stars compared to peters. The servers were nice and polite. The owner's wife was incredibly rude and we will not be back. Gordan Ramsey would definitely have a field day with this place!!!!

The food was just okay. It sorta tasted like cafeteria food. The service was slow but they seemed a bit understaffed. The food came out wayy to hot and we had to sit and feel the steam on our face. The garlic knots were yummy. My Chicken Parmesan was sorta strange. Maybe I should try something else next time.

I've been shaping this review for quite some time, and it's been hard, and I've hesitated in posting it. I love Peter and his wife, but since their move, the place as well as the food has suffered. I've been twice, and I have no desire to return. The service we had was beyond horrible. I don't know what happened, it used to be friendly and laid back, although busy in Dudley. Now the serve staff is pushy and overbearing and has no idea about etiquete. They are inevitably always out of tiramisu. Gone at least 30 times with family, friends, and boyfriend. Not once have we been able to taste this supposedly amazing desert.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
