Ok, here goes. This was my first visit to Mojo's. A friend of my had a Scout Mob coupon for them and asked me to come with, he loves their pizza. I joined him and when we walked in the lady at the counter told us to have a seat anywhere without even looking up. Mistake #1 as I am a stickler for service. Especially when you are having a special that is expressly centered around bringing in new patrons and having them come back. Alrighty, we seat ourselves and wait a moment and talk amongst ourselves. The same person comes to our table and takes our drink orders, brings no menus. When we do get the menus and order salads, we want to order out pizza at same time. Apparently she is impatient and says, "Let me put this in while you make up your minds". Before we can say anythings, she turns on her heels and walks off. She offers no suggestions, nothing. Note, our salads say mixed greens when they arrive there is iceberg lettuce in the bowl. I call her over and point it out as I am not a fan of iceberg and she says, "No, it's supposed to be iceberg." Now, let me make this clear, there are some things that I can't do. However, reading is not one of them. I read very well. I call another server over and show him the menu and the salad and he says, "You are correct, that is a spring mix not mixed greens, I apologize". LOL On to the pizza that that was ordered and took forever to come out. It was horrible. How is pizza horrible. My friend who loves their pizza said it himself, he was sorry for inviting me. He said it was not the same. He said it seemed thrown together. When we'd finished and were talking the lady started putting up chairs around us. Someone had to stop her. I was glad, as you don't do that while patrons are in your store. She brought us the bill we gave her the Scout Mob coupon. She proceeded to tell us that they had cooks to get out of there because they were tired because of the SMob coupons. They were swamped. Ummmm, not my problem. Staff appropriately lady!!! Don't make me pay for you incompetence. We asked for a box she never brought it she proceeded to do her check out, we had to get a box from another server. She turned around and stated, "Oh sorry, gotta do the numbers." Needless to say I will never return, never.

Oh Mojo's. We were stuck waiting on a car repair at the shop next door and stopped in to grab a bite of pizza. Although we were one of the few tables seated in restaurant, and the parties were finishing their pizza, not waiting for it, the my car was ready before the pizza arrived at our table. I understand pizza can take awhile to cook, especially if it's being made to order, but I can get my pizza at Mellow Mushroom with a large crowd in half the time. Unfortunately, the pizza just didn't stand up to the long wait.

The pizza at MoJos kind of reminded me of those pizzas you order from Chuck E Cheese when you're little....except worse. I got broccoli as a topping and I swear it was thawed out broccoli pieces (which means 75% stem). The only thing place had going for it was location. And that's only because I used to live within walking distance. Save your money, frozen pizza is better. There is a Fellinis right up the street that is much better.

Went there last night with my husband for the first time. We sat outside on the patio and waited at least 15-20 minutes until I got frustrated and went inside to get the menu. Then waited another 5 minutes before someone came to the table with more menus and told us that our server would be right with us. Waited another 10 minutes until the waiters came to take our order. He said he did not see us. I ordered a Greek salad, a slice of BBQ pit pizza and my husband ordered a spaghetti with meatballs. My salad and pizza came in a timely manner, but my husband's spaghetti never came. He then told the waiter to give us our check and deduct his order since it never came. The waiter was nice and apologized and came back with his ordered all boxed in so we could take it home and said that he should be able to waive the whole check. Then he came back charging us $7 for my salad. We thought it was cheesy for them to charge us anything after this horrible experience. The pizza was ok, the salad was nothing to brag about, the dressing is just balsamic vinegar with olive oil, and the spaghetti was disgusting. There was no sauce!! Wednesdays seem to be the family night out with all the kids, a trivia night and 1/4 of the regular staff according to the waiter.

I have to say, this pizza was not good! I ordered 1 slice of black olives and mushroom... how could you mess up a simple slice of pizza as that?!? The mushroom were not cooked at all and if I wanted my toppings just placed on top of my pizza then I would have just asked for a salad. Sorry but I would not go back to Mojo's!

The atmosphere at MoJo is relaxed, and it looks like it would be a great place to have a pizza and a few beers. It would be except for the fact that the pizza is terrible. The sauce is tasteless and watery, the crust is passable, and the topings all appear to come out of cans and the freezer. I used to live a short walk from MoJo pizza, so it was in a very appealing location for me. However, after trying it on two seperate occasions, I would never go there again. Just about any other pizza place you try should serve a better pizza. I recommend Felinni's, Everybody's, or Savage.

Perhaps it is the fact that I just adore living in Oakhurst and having numerous resaurants and a cafe just a few steps away...but, I LOVE Mojos. Their crust is just right and non-greasy and their sauce is subtly sweet. I usually order the hurricane...3 out of 4 times its been perfect but once it was slightly burnt and the veggies were sparse. Don't go their if you are expecting great service...its the pizza joint equivalent of a dive bar which gives it its own charm.

YUMMY. Great patio, kid friendly, full bar and awesome pizza. My only complaint is the price, but I will keep going back!

Honestly, maybe I'm just down on pizza these days, but in the two or three visits I've made to this place I've come away with a shrug. Just not a lot of flavor in their pies, and I found the sauce to be pretty runny. I'll give it another shot because I live nearby but I'm having a hard time recommending it.

I should have known better when I hit the door and kids outnumbered adults two-to-one. I don't mind kids usually, and even these kids weren't ill-behaved, but Mojo's pizza tastes like pizza for kids. Do you love to eat Play Doh? The red kind? You'll love Mojo's pizza sauce! It has all the depth of flavor of salted ketchup and boy do they love to layer that stuff on thick. The pizza I got was Tombstone frozen pizza quality. The salads? I'm not against a simple salad. I don't hate on iceberg and only so-so ingredients. No way. But don't charge me five bucks for the privilege of eating the last of your stale croutons (Caesar would not be as forgiving for ruining his eponymous salad deliciousness). I dropped 50 bucks for wretched food (okay, me and the lady had two Fat Tire's apiece - we had to suffer slow service on top of the terrible food, so we needed the drink!) and the best part of the whole meal was the $2 chocolate chip cookie they sell at the bar. I've never left so much pizza on the table, ever. Don't go, unless you've got kids that can't taste the difference between a Hot Pocket and Antico.

Awesome staff, great new bar, tons of ingredients and toppings and great slices. The only weird thing is that we have found that the pizza pies are not as good as the slices, there's something about the pies being too soggy or not cooked enough for my taste. Anyway, overall some great food and a good selection.

I have eaten at Mojo's three times now. The first two times, the pizza was good. Actually, it was a lot better than I expected after reading the reviews on here. But, after tonight, I will NEVER go back there. I ordered takeout and when I got home and opened the box, the pizza looked like it had been dropped on it's side. But what was worse was that the pizza literally smelled like B.O.! It smelled so bad that I actually returned it to get my money back. My boyfriend said that it smelled like sewer water.I am so appalled that a pizza such as that was allowed to leave their store.

Pizza is off the charts. Original, tasty, thin crust, lots of cool toppings. Can't beat the location.

Look, Oakhurst is my hood I'm not about to say anything bad about this joint. My kids love their pizza, heck, they practically live on it. (Don't judge me.) The pizzas are pretty good, freshly made and so are their salads. They're open to making the crust anyway you like if you ask nicely. Im a New Yorker by heart, The city where pizza lives and breathes on street corners theres no comparisons.

I really hate to give this place a mediocre review because I really like the food, servers, trivia, bar, and general local-pizza-joint feel. BUT the service and amount of time it takes to 1. Place an order and 2. Receive that order is just atrocious. If you tell your waiter you aren't ready to order yet when they come by, they will invariably take 15 minutes before they come back. Drinks are usually delivered quickly. So that's a plus. But food takes easily 25-30 minutes even when there are only a few people in the restaurant. The other day I was in there and ordered the caprese salad and my guest ordered 1 slice of pizza. It took over 15 minutes before the waiter came out to tell me they were out of mozzarella cheese-the main ingredient of the dish. So I had to reorder-just another salad-and then it took an additional 15+ minutes to get our food, which we had to take to go because we'd been there for almost an hour already and had somewhere to be. There's no reason 1 slice of pizza (off the menu, mind you, not a special order) and a salad that doesn't need to be cooked should take over 30 minutes to receive. Hire another cook or don't cut them as early or make sure you're hiring qualified people who can both serve and assist the kitchen when they are in trouble. I'll keep coming back, less frequently no doubt, but I will continue to be dissatisfied with my experience until the management can work on the pace of experience.

For starters we have never liked this place. And we have been 5 times or so. The service is bad, the pizza is bad and takes forever, but they do have beer. But this Saturday was it. It was the last straw. We ordered 2 slices of pizza a salad and pasta for the kid. There was total of 6 people in the restaurant and it still took 30 minutes to get our food. Then about half way thru our salad what do we find ? A stink bug... Never ever ever going back. There are to many other good pizza places in the neighborhood.

My friends brought me here for a welcome to my neighborhood lunch and it was so fun. This place has a great vibe and huge/delicious slices. I find that my pizza slices are often either huge or delicious and I appreciated the overlap. There were great flavor combinations for everyone and some really interesting New Orleans inspired flavors. I loved that it was great for groups or for people who just wanted to sit and catch up on work in the afternoon.

This review is long over due! We moved into the neighborhood a few months ago and this is one of the regular places we eat at. It's about a ten minute walk from our house so it's a nice treat to have a pizza joint close by. The food is typically great! We tend to order either the Hurricane (classic pizza with lots of toppings) or the very protein topped pie, Graveyard. Both of these always come out hot and delicious. We also usually order a bread sticks and wings to start things off. Caution, the Hot Buffalo sauce on the wings packs some heat! Two things that prevents me from giving Mojo Pizza 5 stars. First, the service, though well intentioned and friendly, is often slow. So, if you are not in a rush you'll enjoy this place. Second, the mens' restroom is pretty grimy looking. It could use a nice refurbishment. Overall, I really like this place!

I loved loved loved their pizza with extra roast garlic and sausage, as well as the white pizza, and beer selection. Loved the fun decor and porch sitting. I agree re indifferent wait staff and too casual environment, but the food to me made up for it. I won't say it's the best pizza in the galaxy but I will say i never had to leave the neighborhood to get pizza

This place appears to be a great pizzeria and pub, but it's obvious that looks can be deceiving. Upon entering, my fiancé and I were not greeted. You are allowed to seat yourself and after waiting a few minutes, I grabbed our own menus. The two employees that were having a great conversation among themselves, then, expressed that they would be with us in a moment. I guess a moment means "after were done talking" because neither moved but continued to talk. Luckily, another waiter was on the way. She was very nice but after reading a few reviews on Yelp, we decided to leave.

The Good: You can bring your dog with you if you dine-in on the patio after you go to the nearby dog park. The Bad: I've tried Mojo's three times: twice in the evening and once for lunch. Each time it has taken 40+ minutes to get our food. Tonight, we ordered two strombolis--and again it took 40 minutes. Finally, we decided to get our food to go and whoever put the box together didn't do it right and the strombolis almost fell out the side. Waitstaff provides indifferent service. Food is average, definitely not good enough to merit a lot of waiting and very bad service. Third time is the last straw. We're never going back. This place is pathetic.

I often get delivery from here, had many salads, a few calzones, wings, & pizza (Rising Sun is our favorite) and everything is good. It is a great local pizza joint & much better than any generic chain. Patio is great to enjoy in the warmer months, good people watching spot.

I got Pizza delivered, and while yes it was slow (no slower than expected on a Saturday Night, though), it was DELICIOUS DELICIOUS DELICIOUS. I got a cheese pizza with basil, artichoke hearts, and mushrooms and everything was just perfect. Definitely going to be a regular joint on my vegan-cheat days. I noticed someone called it "Fellini's" average....I guess Fellini's-type pizza is my absolute favorite because Mojo and Fellini's are my favorite so far in Atlanta!

    (5)
  • Stormtrooper H.

Great service and everyone was really friendly, but pizza was just "fellini's"-average. Nice selection of pinball machines, so I think I'll stop back by, but the place could stand to be pressure washed from top to bottom.

MoJo is in a cute and trendy Oakhurst neighborhood, so eating outside is an option when the weather is nice. I have never been when it is crowded, so finding seating has not been a problem. They sell very large pizzas both whole and by the slice. One slice was plenty for me paired with a side salad. It was really tasty. You have the option of building your own as well. I know they have subs and different pastas on the menu as well, but I did not try them. This is is a family friendly restaurant and is a great option for pizza.

  • Erika F.

Had a hurricane slice. The size made it filling and although it was fairly tasty it was obvious toppings had been added to an old pepperoni slice...and the extra cheese on top was barely melted. At least the server was prompt and nice.

  • Daniel S.

I ordered delivery and decided on the calzone with roasted garlic, feta cheese, and pepperoni. It was a decent calzone. It had a good amount of ricotta and feta and ample pepperoni. The problem I had is that it contained, no joke, at least two entire heads of garlic. I like garlic but that doesn't mean that I want to eat two heads of it. Way too much. Cut down on the garlic and I'd like this a lot more. I posted a picture that will show the amount of garlic, too.

  • Lawler S.

I really don't understand how a pizza place could stay in business so long when they can't even fully cook the dough. It's far too pricey for what you get. I would take fellinis over mojo any day.

  • Laura P.

I guess we can scratch this one off the list. Poor service, mediocre food, uncomfortable booths, small wine by the glass portions. I liked them better when they were a dive, with children's artwork all over the walls, and mellomushroom-esque , signage. C'mon Oakhurst, we need some decent restaurants in the neighborhood! I really want to support the little guy, but I can't justify spending my hard earned cash on the above mentioned problems. I've given mojos plenty of chances, but this will be my last if I'm footing the bill.

The first time I ordered delivery it took over an hour but the food was decent once it arrived. The second time I ordered delivery it didn't take as long but once the food got there I understood why. My order was completely wrong.....right down to the flavor of chips I ordered. I paid $2.50 for extra turkey on the Cajun turkey panini which I didn't recieve. I also specified no onions and all I wanted on the sandwich was the extra turkey, extra red pepper sauce, and the cheese. I got a sandwich with onions, a ton of green olives (which don't even come on the sandwich according to the menu), and like I said before, no extra meat that I paid for. I called them back and once I actually got a hold of a manager he says he made the sandwich and definitely put extra meat on.....ok. Then says well they must've put no onions add green olives or visa versa. Doesn't really make sense since it came with both on it and I never even said the words green olives to the girl who took my order. The "manager" sounded about 18. He said he would correct the situation and send me a correct sandwich with the correct chips since that was wrong also. I am still waiting on this corrected sandwich. Hopefully, since I've already paid for it, I will get it before I have to go to work. Maybe they are more on top of things if you dine in.....

What a waste of space for our neighborhood period. My family and I went to this restaurant after my son got out of school because he wanted to eat pizza. we sat at a table for over 15 minutes. There where two guys working the oven area a Latino and a Caucasian man. The Caucasus dirty looking man turned around leaned over looked at us, but failed to come over and take our order. He Simple ignored us. We had to leave because we got tired of waiting. We will never visit place again even thought it's walking distance from our new home. I hope they go out of business soon.

Felini's Pizza in slow motion. That's how I'd describe this place. Don't be fooled by the creative descriptions of the pizzas on the menu. They taste very standard -- like Felini's. Except you're going to be waiting an eternity for that pizza. So you'd better sit outside and enjoy the ambiance. Cause you're gonna get a lot of it. And this is true when ordering slices, not just whole pies. WHY!!!??? Aren't the slices pretty much just sprinkled with toppings and warmed up? I went with kids, thinking our dining experience would be sub 45 minutes total. It took 45 minutes just to receive the food. Crazy.

Cool, eclectic vibe and pizza was 'okay'. The only negative is that the toppings are really skimpy, especially for what they charge.

I've lived in the area for around ten years and have been going to Mojo on and off since. The service is stunningly bad both in person and delivery. Standard rule is to add 30 minutes to the delivery time they give you and then you won't be as irritated when they don't make that time. Pizza varies from really good to pretty bad. I keep telling myself that I won't go back and then somebody talks me into trying it again. Regret it every time.

I was in Decatur and wanted Pizza. I go to Mellow Mushroom all the time but wanted something different and thought of Mojos- having been once last year. I remembered this as pretty good pizza, much better than Fellinis, so I visited again. I ordered a couple of slices, each with a topping. Because I don't really like cheese that well I asked for a little extra sauce on top to cover it up. I routinely do this at all pizza joints. After finishing the slices, that were really large, I received the bill and noticed that I had been charged an additional 50 cents per slice for the sauce. There wasn't that much sauce there, even with the extra sauce. This, on top of the other charges for the toppings I ordered. The bill came to 10.97 plus tip for 2 slices and a glass of tea. I complained about the sauce charge and the waitress, a really cute young lady, apologized and said that it was what the button added automatically. Well, Mojo, you need to reprogram your button or just handle the sauce by spoken word instead of punching that button. These are the little things that cause me not to return to a place. This is the only time I have ever been charged for this- anywhere!

I really wanted to like this place... I like the feel of it and they have some interesting draft beer choices. But the service was strange... Like untrained strange. And more worried about restocking than service. We had a groupon and little does this young lady know, we tip well when we eat for less... usually. We sat down, got the menus and ordered soft drinks... which took about 8 minutes to get to us... there was only one other table that was in need of her and the place is small. I watched her do other things while we waited. It took 15 minutes after we ordered for our salads to come out... and the dressings are pre-portioned, so it wasn't that. I drained off more that half of the oil from my vinaigrette... there was just so much oil... The pizza came, a Dixie Blue. It was really good. Really good, solid pizza. We watched a table get up and go to the register to get their tab... cause the "waitress" was busy recleaning a clean table. There was also some yelling and arguing between the staff that was seen by all the patrons.... When you have an open kitchen... just saying. If I order from here, it will be in the form of a to-go. #10/365 #10/100

I have done nothing but ordered out of here, so my review might only be applied to that aspect. The service and the pizza are both extraordinary. They know how to feed a vegan pretty damn well. However, there is the price. They charge extra three bucks on delivery, so obviously you want to pick up the pie. When you realize that the prices are so high, your wallet begins to bleed and then you start to cry

Service is always pretty slow, but the atmosphere is cool. I think this place is popular because of the location only. It's in Oakhurst Village, so an easy location to walk to for the residents of the neighborhood. If you get pizza, buy a whole pizza. They're not good at individual slices. Pass on the wings. They've changed the product and how they're prepared. It seems like they are frozen wings you'd buy in a grocery store freezer section. They're overpriced for freezer food as well. I go to restaurants to eat fresh food.

Great neighborhood pizzeria! We've ordered from here numerous times, and its consistently solid pizza. Any place that uses ingredients this fresh earns a spot high on my list. The sauce: fresh, made-in-house, tomatoey goodness. They always seem to nail the sauce to cheese ratio which is a win in my book Crust: slightly doughy with occasional end crust toughness. The flavor is slightly sweet and the sprinkling of sesame seeds is a nice touch. Toppings: the standards are excellent, but the stand-out is the crumbled Italian sausage. It has a slight cinnamon flavor followed by the typical Italian spices and a mild afterburn. Absolutely delicious. As far as other menu items, they have some solid Stromboli that rivals some of the best I've had. Overall, Mojos is a delicious neighborhood joint that is definitely worthy of repeat visits.

A solid three stars. I have a small mini-crush on Oakhurst, mostly because it's a) near my hut, and b) off the beaten track enough so I feel super cool and in-the-know. "You know Oakhurst? No. Oh, well, yeah, I do. I ate there." But about MoJo Pizza. High marks for the renovated storefront and cool vibe--definitely a place I'd like hang out with a beer. Staff were nice too, and the beer selection was decent. I ordered two enormo slices of pizza to go. First, props for cool pizzas by the slice, totally works for the solo set. However, the pizza was just so-so. I had one slice of the Dixie Blue(chicken, gorgonzola and ham) and one of the pulled pork. The gorgonzola totally overwhelmed the pizza to the point where I had to scrape most of it off, and the chicken was dry. It reminded me of how I cooked when I was 19 years-old. The crust, however, was nice, and had almost a Middle Eastern flair with sesame seeds tossed here and there. Sauce was sparse, but tasty. I'll give these guys another try, and maybe order more standard slices.

Ate there the other night. Waited an hour for our salad. The server finally brought our pizza after an hour and fifteen minutes, but forgot to order our daughter's kid's meal. We cancelled the order and asked for a box to take the pizza to go and waited another 15 minutes for our box and the bill. We were pretty patient. Three other tables just walked out. Long story short, don't go here if you have anything else you'd like to do afterwards.

This place is walking-distance from my cousin's house in Decatur, and we went there as a big family with five kids and four grown-ups. A fantastic place for kids, they're given some raw dough to play with while your pie is cooked. The pizza is good and tasty; the dough has character, the sauce is sweet, and the toppings are plentiful.

I used to live right around the corner from here, so I was in quite often. The pizza is just OK; beer makes it better (back when I used to drink). If you like to drink, this place has a pretty good selection. A good place for pretty much everyone. You'll see older couples, teens or families here on any given day.

As most have noted, the location is great. My wife and I went for the first time Saturday night and sat outside, right by the street. The salad, breadsticks and pizza were pretty standard. Nothing too spectacular. What really bummed us out was the service. The place closes at 10 pm on Saturdays and our waiter decided to start sweeping floors at 9:45 pm and forgot about us. The food service was not speedy to begin with but getting the check was the most difficult part. I had to go inside and ask the hostess for our check. That finally came after 25-30 minutes of waiting. We were out of there by 10:15, though it easily could have been 9:50 with even the most mediocre of services. We were the only ones there.

It's tough, I really want to like this place! It's a cute pizza joint that's kid friendly and has a bar with an OK beer selection. But as of now, it's a pretty solid 2.5 in my book. Our server was pretty inexperienced...don't get me wrong, he was a very friendly guy who seemed to be trying hard, but he was the only one on the floor the whole time we were there (which was kind of a while...because service was so slow). To me, this seems like a management problem.. Who throws an inexperienced waiter to the wolves like that? With a deal like Scoutmob going on, there should have been at least two servers on a Thursday night. So, we weren't ever brought water, our beers sat in the back (already poured) for a long time before reaching the table. It took a really long time to get our slices etc.. Tables around us weren't bussed for literally an hour or so, and they were dirty when we walked in the door. The waiter didn't really know the correct beer prices, so we were a little surprised when we got the check.. The Pizza itself was a nice. The slices are HUGE, the toppings are creative, and the meat is well-seasoned. The crust is a little too thick for my taste, but not a big deal. If I were just rating the food, this place would be a 4, easily. I'd give this place another chance, but they need to get their service problems sorted.

It hurts me to say that MoJo's may be the worst pizza I've ever had. It has such a cute setting in Oakhurst. How could it be so bad? I'll tell ya. The service, yes that chick we've all seen there before, is just about the rudest space cadet texting server I've ever encountered. The pizza, I guess, is made just for children with it's bland, ragu-esk sauce. This comes as no suprise since the place seems to be only patroned by kid's soccer teams. This may be Oakhurst's remedy for not having a Chucky Cheese closer by. Mojo's get's two stars because of the bar. The bar is cool. Well, that is if you can get served by the *stellar* staff.

A couple of years ago, the restaurant went under a major management overhaul, and now everyone there is so so so friendly and super cool. The slices are typical quick pizza slices, but the whole pies are pretty tasty! The prices are definitely reasonable and they are a great community establishment. Best pizza ever? Nah, but good, and our kiddo loves it there. So four stars. Bam.

I went to this place tonight with my family. They have now changed from counter ordering to table service. BAD IDEA. The counter service they had before was horrible so I guess the sensible thing is to try table service? ! After waiting for a server to come to us, I went to the server and requested service. The reply was, be patient it's only me back here. Then don't have table service! Took forever for our food and the prices went up! BEWARE they charge $7.00 for a small salad-too small to share! We never really loved this place to begin with , it's just so close to our house. I will not be returning.

Last night we were craving pizza (or Mexican, but pizza eventually won out) and decided to venture out of our usual orbit. My husband used to live in Oakhurst and we'd been over there once to eat at Matador, and I remembered that it was adorable and pretty cool, and he mentioned that there was also a pizza place there that he used to like a lot. So with Mexican and pizza in the same area, Oakhurst seemed like a good little adventure to satisfy either of our tastes. Well, as I mentioned, pizza won out, so we went to aforementioned pizza-place-that-my-husband-used-to-like, which, of course, was Mojo. The "patio" seating out front is kind of nice, but some of the tables are just basically out on the sidewalk and corner, which is a little weird. The service was pretty hipster lackadaisical, but not terrible - we weren't ignored, just kind of held in disdain. As for the pizza. I rank it above Savage Pizza, but not as good as as Vesuvius by a long shot (and, even though Vesuvius recently raised their prices, they're still less expensive than Mojo.) The crust was not quite thin, but didn't quite have enough flavor to justify its extra thickness. The toppings and house combinations were good - the meat was great, and the breaded eggplant we had on one pizza was tasty, if a bit soggy. The vibe inside is kind of a neat combination of hipstery pub and old-school pizza place - complete with Arcade games! All in all, if you live in Oakhurst, you've got yourself a solid pizza joint. But it's not worth going out of your way for.

Mojo is close to the house and should be our go to pizza place. It is has not been lately because it is slow. Every time I go there either Cheech or Chong is running the show, which is ok unless you want your food in less than an hour. The Corsican Brothers do come up with some of the more creative pizza combinations this side of Amsterdam, but execution is not a priority. In short, the pizza gives me Nice Dreams, but the execution is Up In Smoke.

Good neighborhood pizza (and I'm pretty picky). Really interesting combos that I haven't seen anywhere else -- we like the Dixie Blu and Mediterranean. Handmade to order (no cookie-cutter assembly line of a major chain, but subject to the usual inconsistency and idiosyncrasy of the chef du jour). *** with an extra * for fast, friendly delivery.

Yes, I haven't reviewed in forever. But, this experience made me dust off the old password and write. My boyfriend and I decided to try something new and venture outside our comfort zone. We had heard of the draw of Oakhurst and we wanted pizza. Should have consulted yelp before the 30 min car ride. We sat outside thanks to a nice day and were greeted a few minutes later (btw we arrived around 1:45 and there were exactly 3 other tables / noted when I was annoyed later). We decided to order slices. Boyfriend wanted marinara on his slice and I wanted to try the garlic white cream sauce on my slice..glub, blub. First our waiter tells us that it will take longer to make a slice of marinara that we should order a pie or he should get the white sauce. Boyfriend goes with white sauce. What kind of pizza place doesn't have marinara ready to go??? 20 minutes later, waiter says they can now do marinara would Boyfriend like to go with the original order? Sure if it's not going to be much longer. 1 table left around us that has already eaten. Finally, 15 minutes later Boyfriend gets his slice of pizza with marinara. 5 minutes later my slice arrives without the white garlic sauce I was coveting but with marinara. What exactly happened for two slices of pizza to take close to a hour and a half. The reason I am giving this place two stars is because the pizza was pretty good and the neighborhood seemed cool. Was it worth the gas and time for TWO slices of pizza and one of which being incorrectly prepared? I failed to mention flagging down our waiter for silverware and a bill?

It's okay. We went before an art show at Kavarna, and everything else around was packed. Pizza was just okay. Dough knots were good, sauce was good. Service was okay. But I've had way better all over Atlanta. Definitely a dive, and maybe better if you just want a beer and some mediocre pizza.

This place is around the corner from my house. The food isn't bad but it's ok. We eat there about twice a month or so because they are open late and a good place to go with our kids. On our last visit we get the surly Joahua as our waiter. He ignored us when we entered and was snappy when we asked to be waited on. At the end of our meal, which took way longer than a two slices should, we flagged him down for our check. It arrived with an extra 2.50$ service charge added. When we flagged him down again for an explanation, he informs us that when we were there two-weeks ago, we didn't leave him a sufficient tip so he reserves the right to add his hourly rate to our tab. We were floored. The last time we were there we has a slice and a glass of wine!!! Furthermore with an attitude like his he's lucky to get any tip at all!!! We got no where with him. So we left a "nice" note on our receipt. The next day we complained and were refunded our money. I tried to contact the owner but was blocked by a nice lady named Elaine. *** UPDATE: the things you do for your kids.....we ended up back here becuase I kids would not take a repeated "" no for an answer. They love the pizza and we didnt really want to give them a true explaination. The waitress went out of her way to make us feel welcomed and was very kind to our kids. We had no problems at all. I still place a delivery order without problems. I still think Josuha needs to find better employment, but hey....he doesnt work for me....and I will not allow him to wait on me again.

Ahh....Mojo's reminds of when I first met my wife and we lived in the smallest apt. ever right in the middle of Oakhurst. Sweet memories. As you can see from the previous reviews, Oakhurst residents are passionate about their pizza and kid friendly businesses. This place comes alive every evening before sunset and on the weekends with young families and hipsters of all styles and shades of gray. Parents get buzzed, babies get fed, businesses get paid. In the world of restaurants and bars, this usually means that quality suffers and convenience reigns supreme. In this case however, Mojo delivers some good pizza. Good crust, decent ingredients, homemade sauce, not the crapiest cheese around. Salads are good here too. Secret to the pizza here is picking good toppings. My favorite? BBQ pork and pineapple, sometimes with onion. I don't know if the pizza tasted better because I could walk up there for the grab and go, but it tastes good to me. I would not advise eating there unless you're bringing the kids or like to be around kids. And not in a creepy way.

Decided to try Mojo Pizza hoping to discover another good pizza place close to home. It's typical of the Fellini's or Grant Central where you order at the counter and go find a seat. The atmosphere inside was "cool" and there is plenty of patio seating outside. They have a nice import and domestic beer list and run a beer special each night of the week. $3 for a pint of Terrapin when we went. The pizza was good - didn't get to crazy, just a few veggies. Overall, it was okay and I'm sure I'll go back.

We went to this place cause we saw someone at Mckoy Pool with pizza from here that smelled and looked great. Got the large pepperoni, spinach and sausage pizza, and a big salad and BBQ wings. The pizza was totally awesome. Lol, it is great knowing you can go somewhere and get great food and customer service at the same time. I don't like giving my money to pizza hut or larger pizza chains, because the ones round here have sorry customer service. The salad was fresh, and the wings were meaty, but the pizza here is the main story. I can't wait to go back and try different toppings. The staff, really friendly.

Is that bad that the first thing that comes to mind when hearing about this place is Austin Powers? As in, Austin Powers' mojo? Anyway, that's what I think about. Not pizza. But this is indeed a pizza place, located in the middle of uber cute 'hood Oakhurst. I went with a group on a Monday night - and it was emmmpty. Probably only three other dining groups in the restaurant. However, according to my friend that's a regular, it gets pretty crazy on other nights of the week especially trivia night. It's also quite nice of them to remind you on all the table's napkin holders that there are coupons on their website! The best thing about this place is the variety of toppings you can get - I went with a pretty random combo of gorgonzola and artichokes. . but that's the beauty of the pizza pie. You can also try some of their crazy pizza concoctions by the slice, which is nice. Selections including ones with BBQ, the "Gumbo" or the "Po'boy." So print those coupons, and check out a slice! Ah and Oakhurst is still up and coming enough to have ample free parking!

So, I read the bad reviews and decided to be optimistic anyway. Bad call. If we had simply chosen to go to Fellini's we would have gotten: a) better pizza at a better price b) pizza that took less then an hour+ (seriously!) to get This place is horribly mismanaged - there were simply not enough people there to handle all of the to go orders plus the people dining in. We ordered a few slices (seriously - 3 slices) at 6:10 and got our slices around 7:25. And this was with hungry kids waiting. We could have ordered our food, driven to Fellini's, ordered, gotten our pizza, EATEN our pizza, and gotten back to Mojo's before our food was even ready. There were people waiting for pickup who had their tickets lost while we were there, other people we were dining with who took even longer to get their food (they had the audacity to order a whole pizza instead of 3 slices). Just, wow man. I will never go back to this place and I encourage you to do the same. Maybe they will get new management if business drops off enough or a capable restaurateur will replace the place altogether. And all of this for....ok pizza. No way, no way.

I have visited this place a few times, mostly for a couple of slices as a lunch break while studying at nearby Kavarna. If it wasn't for the close proximity, I probably wouldn't go at all. Granted I am a little picky about my pizza, but I try to give most places a chance. I was disappointed with MoJo. The pizza is just ok. Not the worst I have ever had, but far from the best also. You can get your basic pie and select your toppings. Pretty simple. Thin crust, not too oily. Sometimes they have special pies you can pick from. There is also lasagna and calzones which are decent. The thing that really kills this place for me is that I always feel like it is dirty. Each time I go, there are used napkins on the floor and the tables aren't cleaned from the previous patron. My friends even saw a cockroach once...gross! There is a bar with a good beer selection and specials from time to time. I think the prices are higher than they need to be for pizza. In general, if you are in the area and need a slice, probably worth it if you keep your expectations low. Give yourself some time though since the service is a little slow, but I guess that could mean it is freshly made. Nice outdoor seating area and staff are reasonably friendly. There is trivia one night too.

Great pizza. My favorite is the graveyard. You can sit outside or order delivery if you live in the area. Sometimes their service isn't top par, but the good pizza and pricing keeps me coming back! Try the cheese sticks - they are great!

I go to MoJo's all the time. I'm a simple pizza eater. Usually just get one or two toppings, regular crust, and red sauce. I really like the pizza here. Although it can be some what inconsistent(not enough sauce, slightly undercooked) I always enjoy a MoJo's pie. They have a full bar and great beer selection and usually some kind of good beer special even on the weekends. I like the chill atmosphere and good service. I'm a fan and will continue to go back.

NOT surprised this place has such mediocre ratings. Completely surprised it's been open for 14 years. the location is awesome, so i'm sure if they close, someone else is dying to get into this spot. they need a serious overhaul from staff to interior to quality of food. Bleah. Food: bland dough, a bit chalky. marinara overly watery. Atmosphere: our table was wiped off before we saw down. it smelled like someone wiped their ass on it. when we told the waitress she just blew us off and said we were smelling the bleach. i'm 33 years old and know what bleach smells like and it does not smell like dirty water and asshole. we should have left at this point, but were hungry and decided it would just be faster at that point. Service: was told tonight by certain blonde wait staff that she was too busy to ring up what we ordered correctly when i told her we were charged for something we did not order. too busy to do her job? that's weird, b/c she certainly isn't going to get paid for much else. one of the other waiters stepped in and corrected the problem. it seemed like he was having lots of problems with this server in particular. i really wanted to give this place a chance b/c we live a stone's throw away, but will just as easily order from mellow mushroom and have it delivered next time.

Mouth gasm. Best pizza I've had in Atlanta and I've tried all the super-cool-kid places. Rivaled only by Memphis Pizza Cafe, which has my heart because it got there first. Try their white pizza, add bacon and green peppers. You will worship at the Church of Mojo, I promise.

Good pizza at a reasonable price but the lackluster service is a turnoff every time I eat here. I've actually stood at the counter for 10-12 minutes with the staff constantly walking by or talking to their friends before I was ever acknowledged

Yes it's convenient for all us parental types who are trapped in our houses with our children. After all, it's not *that* far from MoJo's to home. One could indulge in that 2nd beer and not be too concerned about the drive home... But for those of you who are free to break outta the hood, do it! There are many many other places within 5 or so miles that offer better quality, consistency, and service. Don't waste your hard-earned money on MoJo's. Yes, they make their own crust, yes it's totally kid-friendly, and yes it's locally owned. But take the other reviewers to heart. At MoJo's one never knows if it's amateur night in the kitchen until it's too late! [To all you childless horndogs--better wrap that rascal--or you'll find yourself sentenced to mediocrity in dining avec moi!]

Some of the worst pizza I have ever had. I live around the corner and have ordered numerous times. I keep going back because I want to like it and support a neighborhood joint, but it is almost inedible every time. Sad because it's a cute place.

Ordered the Mediterranean and the Trinity. Former was listed as having "artichoke hearts" when in fact it was the small leaves from an artichoke. The latter was missing the green peppers that was a standard item. Other than those screw-ups, it was really good pizza. Next time I'll have to be more specific and check the box before leaving.

I want to love Mojo Pizza, I really, really do. I live within walking distance to it - and yet, I can't bring myself to go unless I'm in a dire hunger situation or with a friend who thinks it'll be a good idea. In theory, Mojo is a cute little pizza place - nothing special, but cute enough. Every time I have gone, though, the service has been Abysmal. Call me old fashioned, but I like to think that as a patron of any sort of establishment, I'll be treated with some degree of attentiveness. Never once have I gotten anything that I would even call "decent" service at Mojo. The last time I went, I ordered a sub and my boyfriend ordered a slice of pizza. We had to stand at the counter for minutes before anyone even acknowledged we were there. It wasn't busy - we were the only patrons in the restaurant at the time. So we order, go find a table, and wait. They bring my boyfriends pizza out - but the server had no idea that I had ordered anything. She muttered something about bringing me food if they have any for me and saunters away. My sweet, polite boyfriend waited the 10 minutes it took them to bring out my sub, his pizza getting cold all the while, before eating. UGH. I can't do it anymore. Mojo, you are like an abusive boyfriend, and I'm finally walking out on you. I've tried to love you, I've given you chances - and yet you always disappoint. That's it, Mojo, we're breaking up for good.

Yum! Mojo Pizza is definitely our "summer pizza". Little Five is closer and our usual "go to", but its pretty heavy stuff. Mojo's thin-ish crust is just right for the hotter months, and worth the drive, which is still, just under ten minuts. AND, they say they will deliver to our house - we are on the east side of Moreland. The large is gigantic, the sauce is sort of sweet, but just right and the sesame seeds on the crust are a nice touch. Some of the reviews complain about burnt pizza, but I like the crispiness of an almost charred thin-crust pizza. Well done, I guess. Oh, and LOVE that they had no problem taking a pick up order at 9:40pm on a Sunday, even though they close at 10pm. That was nice!

Best pizza in Atlanta period. They ALWAYS cook it right, unlike almost all local chains which always under cook. Sauce and crust are both really good. Their white pizza with roasted garlic (let the pizza cool and give the garlic time to melt into the cheese) is 1 step away from heaven.

  • Margo R.

Hot pizza and cold beer. Wow. Mojo is a magical place. The warm, friendly atmosphere is inviting and comfortable. I especially love the white pizza, which is the perfect blend of cheeses. There are tons of specialty toppings on the menu, but even the regular pizza has a special taste. MoJo is a place everyone can agree on. Great for groups!

  • Blake B.

If you're looking for something slightly outside the box on the pizza front, Mojo is ready to accomodate. Though their prices are a bit higher than average (some of the per slice rates on their specialty pizzas are as high as $4.75), they use top quality ingredients and often come out making you feel like you got what you paid for. Some of their more awesome additions include: Pulled Pork Pizza (bam!), Eggplant with Basil Pesto, Shrimp, Bacon & Sausage, and so forth. One of the best bonuses about this place is that all of the tables have bottles of honey on them, for dipping your crust into when you are finished: free dessert. I don't know why I've not seen more places do that: it's a great idea and that alone makes me want to go back to Mojo. In addition to their variety in toppings, they have a ton of other choices in the realm of sandwiches. The calzone was a little small, so I don't know that I'd recommend it. They also have quite a selection of wine and beer. One of the better pizza places in the Atlanta area if you're willing to spend an extra buck.

Besides all your reviews. I think Mojo's pizza is one of the best pizzas south of Ponce de Leon. We live in East Atlanta Village and our closest is Grant Central Pizza and they never cook the center there. Mojo's does it right.

I had my first MoJo pizza the other day and it did not disappoint. We ordered a Risin' Sun, with pineapple, jalapeos and roasted red peppers. Fantastic. One Mojo quirk that really went well on the Risin' Sun - they put sesame seeds on their crust. It's different, in a good way.

We were wandering around Oakhurst this weekend, enjoying the beautiful weather and stopped in for a quick bite. Just OK pizza and, I'm not sure what I was expecting, but 2 slices of pizza and 2 draft beers came to almost $20. Seems a little steep to me for a neighborhood joint.

I'm addicted to the Hurricane pizza. Nice selection of beers on tap, too. My only word of caution is to double check your to-go order, I've had mix-ups on more than one occasion.

Great pizza and yummy cheese bread. Prices aren't too bad. And, if you get a large pizza, be prepared to carry some of it home, because its HUGE!!!! Also, if you are in a hurry, it would be better to call your order in. It can take a while for them to cook the pizza. This is a great place to eat, especially on nice days when you can enjoy your food outside and enjoy the friendly neighborhood atmosphere.

In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations.
