Very solid. Good food, generally good service, and a relaxed, yet exuberant atmosphere.

I wouldn't say it's my favorite, but the food is delicious and cheap, and the real selling point is the service. The staff is always very friendly and quick! I love the quiet hole-in-the-wall atmosphere, too.

  • Julie J.

Okay- food is fine- quick and nice service but dirty floors and run down shopping center-

Really nice little hole in the wall Mexican restaurant. I only ordered chicken nachos, but my friends ordered beef enchiladas and this huge dip bowl with some stuff in it. I tried the enchilada and the dip, they were both really good and flavorful. As for my food, the sweat tea was good, the cheese dip was great, the chips were nice and fresh, and the chicken was actually seasoned well and was really good! Definitely going to be going back. Only bad parts about my visit were that the waiter was rarely ever seen and there was a fly that I had to keep swatting away. Other than that, it was a great experience!

The location could be the film setting for a walking dead episode. The waitress was very nice. When my wife order turned out to be different, the waitress brought her an alternative. If your a fan of ground beef and cheese you'll enjoy. Great Mexican food we didn't find however. It was clean and who can say no to all you can eat tortilla chips.

Easy, fun, cheap, and everything was delicious! They have several vegetarian options among a very large menue. This place is very authentic and right off the highway. You should definitely stop if you're going through Dalton. Just be careful, the margharitas are strong!

Wonderful atmosphere! Great food! I recommend Pablos tacos! Great family or friends spot!

This is one of the best Mexican places we have ever been to! The food is very good and the service is fast & friendly. They are located in Dalton off 75 in a run down plaza behind a Race Trac. We live in Florida and anytime we travel we always make sure to stop and eat!

  • John S.

This place has more personality than most Tex-Mex places you go. Same family and help every time we come. Had seven person group tonight and no complaints, only raves about every dish, chorizo fajitas well above average and not tried before. Margaritas, Mexican beer, friendly fun service.... Packed as usual on Friday night..... I'll be back....

The food was good! Typical Mexican restaurant - really good salsa. I got the lunch chimichanga and it was a really good size. I didn't feel uncomfortably full but I definitely wasn't hungry either. And it was less than $6 including rice and beans! Would definitely go back if I lived in the area.

This place is the BEST Mexican in Dalton, GA hands down. I've been coming here nearly my whole life and every time I come home it's the first place I go. The cheese dip is one of a kind. Go with the Pollo Ranchero, it's wonderful. Also great is the chile relleno and beef nachos. Homely place, they always treat you like family.

In town from Dallas visiting a close friend. I was super optimistic after reading reviews. The food was just ok, nothing outstanding. I started off with a frozen margarita...first time in my life that I didn't finish it. I'd stick to beer here. Overall, I would give it 2 stars, but the food was served so quickly, that we barely had a chance to finish our appetizer. I ordered the fajitas, but they only gave me 3 tortillas, which is fine, but they gave me so much meat that I had to ask for 2 more tortillas, which I ended up having to pay for. This place is "eh", but I guess it's the best this town has to offer. Come to Texas for the real deal. By the way, I'm not what one would consider to be a picky eater, not even close.

Tasty. The food was pretty good and the service was friendly. We had an enjoyable meal. I am looking forward to my next visit.

Great service. Very good food. The place was busy when we got there and the food we ordered was on the table within 10 minutes. Good prices too.

This was awesome food. I was surprised to see yes it is in an old strip mall, used to have a Kroger and other small stores. This was the best service I have had and outside the normal place I live to go to back home this was great food. The rice and beans were perfect. The taco meat was the perfect spiciness. I had the taco al carbon and the steak was perfect. This place should be packed every night and now when we are ever up this way exit 333 is where we will stop for lunch or dinner. Definitely a place all must go.

After driving around for a half hour we ended up going to Los Pablos after reading some fellow Yelper's reviews. I am truly glad that we found this place. The restaurant looks like your average Mexican restaurant from the outside, but once you walk in the door you get a completely different vibe. The layout and decor fit the place nicely. The staff are dressed very professionally and give the impression of an upscale joint. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu. My wife asked her what was good and she asked her what she generally likes to get. As soon as my wife mentioned a few things the waitress was quick to recommend a few dishes. That small gesture is very helpful for a couple of first time patrons. The chips and salsa were very good. My wife loved the cheese dip because it didn't have the usual jalapenos. I ordered the Steak burritos and my wife got the steak quesadillas. They were both delicious and we ate every bite. If stopping in Dalton, this is a definite place to stop and eat. I also would like to thank the staff for seating us right in front of a TV so I could watch the Georgia game.

Very authentic and very good. Fajitas were the perfect balance of meat and perfectly cooked vegetables. More shrimp in the single plate of fajitas than a lot of places have in their shrimp dish. Service was crazy fast (I wanted to complain about the amount of chips and salsa, but the food was there so quickly that I didn't get halfway through what they brought; salsa was great.

Love this place. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, and the food is usually pretty quick. I'm quite a fan of their steak chimichanga.

Another good restaurant found on Yelp. Excellent food. CCR provided the music. Only mark down was the dirty floor. Although this was a busy Sunday afternoon.

The restaurant has been updated everything looks great and the food and margaritas still the best in town!

Place is in a dead shopping center off the main drag... But the food is surprisingly good! The Texas Margaretas are awesome. Don't let the location turn you away!

I am a local to Dalton and this is my favorite Mexican restaurant. Service is outstanding and the food is always excellent. I have eaten here for years and don't think I have ever had a bad meal. Drinks are tops too. Excellent margaritas!

Back again. Ironic that such a fabulous Mexican restaurant is located behind a taco bell on the main drag. If more folks only knew that the really good restaurant is located in the dead strip mall behind the taco bell - Los Pablos is a thriving business. Again, the food was wonderful. The waiter, Gabriel, is a stand up comic. Besides great food, the place is light hearted like a fun party. Lots of happy locals.

In a sea of nearby chain restaurants, Los Pablos is a welcome dining island. Located in a nearly defunct strip mall, this restaurant is small but obviously a favorite with locals as it was a bustling and festive hub. We stopped here after a long travel day and were glad we did! Fresh and tasty chips, salsa and guacamole; satisfying and reasonably priced entrees (fish tacos and a veggie combo dinner); and fast and friendly service.

Probably the best mexican food in Dalton. Great sevice, great atmosphere. Nachos Rancheros are excellent. Prices good. Tall Pablo hello!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
