My favorite BBQ place! I've only ever tried a few items, but they've been so good that there has been little motivation to deviate from what I've had. The pork is fantastic, its my go to item here, and I've never been disappointed with it. The ribs are just as good if not better, but if your looking for something different, ask if they have any smoked wings. The wings aren't on the menu (yet) and they started out as just a special, but they were such a hit that they keep making them. They come tossed in their buffalo sauce, but if you ask they will toss them in any of their signature sauces, I love them with their KC BBQ sauce. Everything else that I've tasted their has been just as good, and at times it can take a little long to get the food, but the staff has always been so friendly that I never mind waiting. The owners have been especially friendly and great to talk to while waiting at the bar for my family to arrive. All this and more has lead me into Cue a few times a month, and it will probably keep doing so for years to come!

I really, REALLY wanted to like this place... Its like the hot girl that you've had your eye on for some time. You eventually meet her in passing, and after some back and forth, you finally set a night to go out... That night, as you talk about your interests and look for common experiences, you come realize that you put a lot of work into making this happen, but sad to say, you guys don't have a whole lot in common... That pretty much sums up this place. A so-called BBQ judge told me to go check out this place, and from the reviews for the Alpharetta location, it seemed to be getting positive attention... On a recent Sunday, I was on my way up 400, to trek up Blood Mountain. Needed some calories... Or maybe I really wanted the BBQ and Blood Mountain was the justification for gorging on meat? Hmm... The place was located at the exit where Northside Hospital's Forsyth location is. Driving east, it is about a mile or two on the right, at the end of a strip mall. The place was fairly packed, which is usually good sign. The food came out in about 7 minutes... Now just so I don't sound like a complete sourplus, here's what worked. --The Service: the waitress (I think her name was Erika?) was extremely friendly and seemed to want me to like the food. I couldn't bring myself to tell her to truth. --The Sides: the greens and the Pittsburgh Slaw (vinegar based) were pretty good. So was the Texas Toast (buttery, garlic goodness). Now the bad news: --The toughest slices of brisket I've had in quite awhile. Overcooked. --The pulled chicken was also overcooked and too hard. The sauce poured over it was also way too tart. I'm sorry guys, like I said, I wanted to like this place, but just didn't happen.

Excellent Bar-B-Que. Large portions and great atmosphere.

Went back for the second time just for the homemade rolls let alone the BBQ. Good service, fun decor. Can't wait to go back again.

First, I must apologize to 'Cue's for consuming nearly half of the bottle of the "Sriracha Barbecue Sauce" while eating at their establishment! (Okay, I did end up buying an entire bottle of the stuff) :) We LOVED the pulled pork. The sides were pretty average, although the hand cut fries and coleslaw were good. The Brunswick stew was more like a chili, not Brunswick, but still pretty tasty. They had a good beer selection and our server was attentive and personable. AND they're open on Sundays!

If you like bland BBQ, then you'll be happy with 'Cue. Had brisket, coleslaw and baked beans and everything was really fairly tasteless. Tried all four sauces, but they didn't add much. Nothing to write home about, and certainly not worth $35 (with tip) for two lunches. Ouch! To be fair, I haven't been too impressed with many BBQ in Atlanta. I lived near Kansas City for a while and got spoiled on Gates BBQ. Nothing even comes close, unfortunately.

Came here with co-workers for a team dinner. Portions are big, so come hungry. Food and service was good, our drinks were kept topped off and our waitress was on top of everything. The Barbecue Nachos were good, the sliders are huge, and the ribs were tender. Will definitely be coming back for more.

Excellent ambience and sassy service. Had the 3 meat combo with pulled pork, brisket and sausage. It was awesome. The collard greens were a little overcooked, but their sauce was fantastic. Good beer selection with a lot of interesting west-coast brews I wouldn't have expected to find. Next time I pass thru Cumming, GA, I'll make it a point to stop!

Amazing BBQ. The only place in Cumming that gets BBQ right. If you are a Jim n Nicks person and you try this place, you'll never go back. Pricey, but great food. You will leave completely satisfied.

Our food was excellent and the service was great... 2 "downers" however... a kids choc milk was $2.25 and a refill was an additional $2.25. That was exorbitant since it only came in an 8 ounces foam cup. $4.50 added almost 20% to our total bill. Also, we were refused a small cut of a sample of something we felt may be too spicy for a child and were refused. A 1/2 inch slither would not have broken them... Otherwise, a great restaurant experience!

Met a friend there for lunch. Wings for appetizers were excellent. Smoked, then deep fried. Highly recommend. I had the brisket sandwich. It was stacked high with beef and a thick bun. Took some beef out to make it manageable. They offer 3 sauces (Kansas city, SC mustard, NC vinegar). Good service, good food.

Honestly one of my favorite BBQ places I have ever been to. Just get a craving for it and they don't ever disappoint. Ribs. Goooood. Pork. Goooood. Chopped brisket.... Fantastic. It has now become tradition where if my family comes into town the first night they are here its our first stop. That good. Highly recommend.

Love this place! My kids love it too. The food is always good. They always keep a nice and interesting selection of draft beers on tap as well. I recommend the barbecue chicken nachos. If you need more veggies the barbecue chicken salad is amazing and you will not walk away hungry afterwards! The portions are large, and everything is homemade. You cannot beat this place! Live music on the weekends is the cherry on top!

I had the sliced pork sandwich with a side of greens and a diet coke for lunch. With tip it was $17.00, that is very high. Sliced pork had no smoked or barbecue taste. The greens were good but the portion was small. The 3 barbecue sauces were fair to poor with the best being the vinegar sauce.

Ate here for the first time for lunch today. Not really close to anything but so glad it was lunch time, we were hungry, and we saw it at the right time. Such a cute little place, love the decor, and the food is outstanding! Just had the simple pork sand which (I think it's the bread they put it on -so yum!!) and we split fries and my husband and I both said it was the best we have ever had. Huge portion and loved all the sauces on the table. Also Comes with pickles that taste homemade.

Rock solid barbecue with amazing side dishes. After trying unsuccessfully to get service at two other local (chain) restaurants, my wife and kids and I stopped here hoping that the third time would be the charm. It was. We were greeted by friendly staff and seated promptly. The service was courteous and attentive. The food was even better. The overall ambiance of the place is very warm and inviting. It looks like they have live music from time to time based on a small stage that looks to accommodate 1-2 people at a time. Very relaxed atmosphere with rustic wood and tree-top tables. My wife and I both had the brisket. It was solid and not very fatty - which is good or bad depending on what you're looking for. Personally, I liked it a lot with their house sauces. It came with the best garlic toast I've ever had and some amazing sides. I had the fries and the mac & cheese. The fries were fantastic. If you like the style of fries you can get at Five Guys, only much better, then I recommend ordering them. The mac & cheese was very good and home made. Both of my toddlers loved theirs. My wife ordered their 'special' off the menu side of sweet potato casserole. I still have the sense memory of how amazing it tasted - and it makes me feel all gooey inside. It was that good. It was a little risky going there with young kids, but the staff made us feel welcome and took great care of us. The food was memorable - and I look forward to going back with my wife sometime without the kids for a date. Recommended!

Disappointing. Had lunch here today, brisket and chopped pork platter with Mac n cheese and beans for sides. First the positive, Mac n cheese was tasty. Pork was ok, moist but needed more smoke flavor and there was no delicious bark mixed in. Mustard sauce was tasty. Now the bad. Brisket was terrible. Dry, tough, rubbery, inedible. I actually gave the brisket to my dogs , who both ran yo their water bowl after choking down the beef. Beans were also terrible. Overall just not worth the money. I have made much better BBQ in my own smoker. I will not return. PS. Service was friendly.

Great chopped pork sandwich! I appreciated that they gave me all three bbq sauces to go.

Date visited: April 16, 2012 Time: Noon Ordered: Chopped brisket plate w/ double russet potatoes (fries) Crowd: 5-6 tables in-use besides ours This place is not what I expected. First off, it's more of a "bistro" type eatery, and not a "hole-in-the-wall" BBQ joint. Perhaps I should've guessed that from the semi-hipster name of the place...but I was expecting something a little less upscale. Pros: Good-quality food Homemade bread Clean Cons: Pricey. Very pricey. Did I mention that it's pricey, because it's pricey. Small BBQ portion Slow service No lunch menu There is a woeful lack of *good* BBQ here in Forsyth County, which is a crying shame. It seems that all the good places are 45+ minutes away, and with the closing of Pappy Red's (a place that seemed to be in rapid decline over the past few years), there were no good, local choices. Sure, there's Slopes and Jim & Nick's, but each has their own critical flaw (or flaws) that keeps them off my list. Therefore, I was happy to see a new place to try for BBQ, and I'd heard good things about 'Cue. Upon entering, we were seated promptly and the waitress took our drink orders. As we browsed the menu, we were a little surprised to not see any lunch options - they have the same menu for all service times. I might not normally care, but the cheapest sandwich on the menu is $6.50...and this comes ONLY with pickles as a side. If you want to add a side, you can tack on an extra $2.95...bringing a sandwich + side combo to nearly $10...or more if one opts for brisket or chicken. Throw in a drink - another $2 - and a lunch can easily top $12 (not counting tip and tax). That's far too expensive for a lunch. It took the waitress a few minutes to return to take our order, which isn't good when one only has an hour for lunch. I opted for the brisket platter, which comes with two sides ($11.95). When the platter arrived, I was both pleased and disappointed. The fries were piled-high (I ordered fries as both my sides), but the chopped brisket was sparse, to say the least. It looks as if there was maybe 1/3 pound of brisket on the plate...definitely not what I'd expect for the price. After completing the meal, it took the waitress longer than it should've to bring our bills and to process the transaction. Again, not a good thing when one only has an hour for lunch. I have no quibbles with the quality of the food - everything that I had was of excellent quality, and I'd eat there again...IF the prices were lower and/or they had a reasonable lunch menu. The price of the sandwiches would be OK if they came with any choice of the sides...but to only come with pickles is a deal-breaker. Additionally, a' la carte ordering would be great...but the pricing, and the portion size of the meat, is far too out-of-whack for me to return unless/until they make a change. So, while I *could* recommend the place on the quality of their food, the pricing and portions put 'Cue in the "Oh, well...that's too bad" category for me. Pity.

Soooo... this was served for a company luncheon at work and I must say, I was rather impressed! The pulled chicken and mac'n'cheese was the first to go! Everyone thought it was delicious. The pulled pork was just okay... Not too impressed, but adding a sauce helped. I was not a fan of the vinegar based sauce because I could barely taste it on the pork. Finally, the peach cobbler was tasty but not crusty enough. I would rate it a 2.5/5... If I return it will be for the barbecue chicken and mac n cheese!

  • Al K. S.

The service was fine, the pork and Brunswick stew on the other hand was not. The stew tasted like ketchup and the sliced pork was grey and tasted like it was cooked in the oven.... Sorry, just didn't enjoy it..

Full disclosure as I work for the same owners at a different concept restaurant. However, before this we had never been into 'Cue although we had discussed it multiple times. We went in around 12pm on a Sunday and were seated very promptly. Our server was incredibly attentive and knew her menu items well. We started with the smoked wings and were impressed. The flavor was great, the heat was just right and we devoured a 6 piece pretty quickly. I had a cup of the Brunswick stew next. Because seriously? What is BBQ without the stew? Stew was good, even my daughter tried it and liked it and she rarely likes anything that has any sort of tomato base. About this time the restaurant started filling up with the after church lunch crowd. I watched every table be seated and greeted promptly. Hubby had the brisket sandwich and I had the pulled pork sandwich. I tried a bite of his and found that I didn't care for it. The meat was a bit fatty for me (which he loves so it was perfect for him). He chose the tomatoes and cucumbers in dressing as his side and was perfectly happy with them - that's his idea of a salad anyway. The pulled pork was great, especially with the mustard based sauce. Served on a huge buttery, yeasty bun - probably my favorite part. I was only able to finish half of the sandwich and half of my side because the portions were so substantial. I also had a side of the deviled egg potato salad. Probably the only thing that I didn't care for - it was very sweet and sugary and while it was good, I prefer my potato salad more on the mustard robust side and not so sweet. Overall very glad that we went and tried it, good bbq and I'm sure that we will be back if anything just to try the different sides. :)

Just ate here with my parents. They are visiting from Raleigh NC and wanted some BBQ and since I didn't know the area BBQ restaurants I pulled up Yelp and checked it out. Let me tell you, the good/great reviews are spot on. The food was fabulous and the staff were friendly. Even to the point when my order of two sausages grilled was delivered, they felt that one of the sausages were too small, so they brought me out an extra one to make up for it. I shared one of my sausages and was planning on taking the littler one home for hubby to try and I was full, so they boxed up the extra sausage, the little one and everything else left over for us to take home. I had the two sausages grilled. Those are some spicy (but not too spicy) sausages, grilled to perfection with a small side of grilled sauerkraut, brunswick stew and the campfire butternut squash. It was all wonderful. Mom had the beef brisket, collard greens and sweet potato casserole (could have been dessert). Dad had the Pork with Deviled Egg Potato Salad and Bacon Beans. Oh, and we got Peach Cobbler and Ice Cream to go. Too full to eat it, but if it is half as good as what we ate, then it will be perfect. We all shared our sides and tastes of our meats and we left very full and very happy. If you go and they are serving the butternut squash, you have to try it. I think this will be a place that Mom and Dad want to come to when they come for a visit. Until then, I can't wait to take hubby there for dinner.

Seriously, what's not to like? Great food, great service, great beer choice. For those who rated this restaurant anything lower than a 4, just get over yourself. It's terrific.

This may be one of the better BBQ options around Lake Lanier and Cumming, but certainly not the best around Atlanta. One of the highlights is that everything is made from scratch. I have been here a few times and the way to go is the pulled pork. Their brisket was so so and their smoked sausage tastes more like an Italian sausage to me. If you end up getting a BBQ sandwich, be forewarned that the bread is gigantic. The bread itself is very good, but too big for sandwich eating. Sides, I am not a potato salad guy, but I have heard some very good things about it from my dining companions. The mac and cheese is good. I would say avoid the brunswick stew. Doesn't have good flavor, I actually compared the sauce to Chef Boyardee Spaghettios one time. Friday/Saturday nights are a good time to go since they have live music playing.

Keeping Looking. Based on Yelp reviews i had lunch there today. The smoked/fried wings are delicious. They are plump and just the right heat. For my entree' I ordered the pulled pork platter with Pittsburg coleslaw and baked beans. The sides are fair, with the coleslaw much better than the beans, but nothing to brag about. Now to the bellwether item the pulled pork. I requested some outside mixed in so as to get the full effect of the cooking process. The meat was dry and greasy. It sounds contradictory but the lean was dry and the outside too greasy. i would rate the pulled pork about a 3/10. The service was pleasant but did not offer to top of drinks. I cannot go back.

  • Robert M.

I thought the pulled pork was very good, the BBQ sauce itself was average. Need more selections of sauce as well. The bun was outstanding...but for me it was too much bun for BBQ. If they can do the same bun that isn't as high, it would be much better. Sides are standard. Overall, a decent place to grab some BBQ, I would come back.

  • Craig M.

The ambiance of this place is simple western. The food is pretty decent for the price. for dinner, I tried the brisket. It had a good smokey flavor but was dry. The sauces were okay. The sausage is a little too spicy. One thing I did like was their wings. Overall this is a good place to go if you are looking for barbeque that is close and more upscale than Dickey's. But if you are looking for amazing BBQ go to big d's in Dawsonville is better overall.

  • Joey K.

I like the warm decor and atmosphere, I felt at home instead in a generic sterile hospital. As for the food I had smoked pork, which was good but not truly fantastic. I made it better by using their mustard sauce. And I had a side of french fries and baked beans, which are pretty good. Why 4 stars not 5? They missed the mark just a tad with their smoked pork. It just tasted a little bland and not truly amazing.

  • sacha g.

I was excited to try this place for the first time. The decor looks great and the place was busy which are both good signs. Then things soured. The service was super slow which is forgivable considering how full it was.. But the sliced pork was both dry and almost without any flavor. Great expectations turned into great disappointment. To add insult to injury they offer ZERO sauces that are spicy. What?

A family night with smoked meat, beer, wine, and live music...what could be better? I'm not a bbq purist or a connoisseur but I'm fairly familiar and decently versed. Let me try to break this down for those with lesser skills...It's pretty good and you should go. The bbq is good but going on a Friday or Saturday evening is one of my favorite family nights out because when you combine reasonably good food, family ambiance, reasonably priced beer and wine with live music (starts at 7pm) from a 1 or 2-person act who typically are reasonably good in their own right - you get 4 stars. No need to go into whether the bark on the pork was dark enough, or if the ribs were chewy or fall-off-the-bone, etc. Just get some bbq nachos or smoked wings and some other grub, grab a beverage, and enjoy the evening. I always do.

  • Peter Y.

Cue's is a very good, from scratch BBQ joint. The sides are excellent and the ribs are the best I've ever had. Let's be serious, they make their own pickles! And surprisingly their sausage is outstanding though time consuming since it is cooked to order, it does take a while to make it to your plate. The pulled pork is okay and I am not a fan of their BBQ sauces but overall a solidly good BBQ joint.

  • C P.

CUE is AWSOME! The BBQ nacho's are the best ever! They have recently added wings.. They are by far the best I have ever had! This is the best BBQ! If you have room, try the peach cobbler.. My god!

Rib Appetizer, homemade sausages, and those magnificent fries will be my last meal when I'm on my death bed. A-Mazing! Always a great experience, whether dining in or out. Although, the fries need to be eaten fast. They get soggy in the little to go box. Maybe they should only brown paper bag them. I always get the same thing so I can't speak to the rest of the menu. The food is a little pricey here and its worth it but just occasionally

  • S G.

I am a BBQ junky. Solid food always. Great fries and love the 1/2 bird. Great bread. 3 different sauces tomato based, mustard based, and vinegar based. Always have had great service and the live music on the weekend tops it off. Large portions. You wont leave hungry. Daily cobblers for dessert are hard to pass up...I usually don't. Not a dive BBQ place, more of semi-upscale but still small and not a ton of tables. Show up a little before 7 on weekends to avoid too long a wait. Would love to see a lunch menu with smaller portions and slightly lower price someday but otherwise no complaints. Keep your great team, great food, and great service.

'Cue is the single best BBQ restaurant in the state of Georgia -- bar none. Need I say more? OK, I will. Everything is made from scratch. From the pickles to the bread. I recommend the pulled pork sandwich with either a side of tomatoes and cucumbers or a full side salad. Either way, you'll walk out of 'Cue already planning your next visit.

Cue' is a great change up for BBQ when we have had Smoke Jack too much recently. Cue' is our second favorite place in the Cumming / Alpharetta area for BBQ. Everything from the BBQ to the sauces to the pickles to the bread are made in house.

  • Tulie L.

The bread is very good and garlicky! The BBQ made me miss local in town BBQ joints.. The sides were just OK - the BBQ was not very memorable. They have baby back ribs but they don't offer spare ribs, which is a lot more fatty and yummy.. Overall experience was ok, not the best BBQ i have had- portions are smaller then your basic joint as well.

I really wanted to find another great BBQ. This place seemed to be it until I tasted the very bland pulled pork! My lunch guest thought it tasted boiled. Even the 3 BBQ sauces lacked flavor. The fries and slaw we really good though.

  • Bill S.

Excellent BBQ and the musical talent the night we were there was excellent. Great atmosphere for a nice night out. Most folks there were families with kids too, and it's a good place to bring them. I also don't think it's all that pricey compared to other BBQ joints in the area.

This review could be a bit controversial and part of me thinks I've lost my mind, but I have to tell the truth. Their baby back ribs are amazing. They are non-traditional in every way that would make BBQ purist cringe. They are too tender. They have little to no chew. They have only a hint of a smoke ring. But somehow these ribs turn out to have tenderness that equates into succulent and melt-in-your-mouth feel. They also have an incredible sear and black char in spots that is supreme cararmelization that will send shivers of joy across your taste buds. They are a juicy, blackened, deep-flavored mess on your plate that is positively addictive! I am on stuck on these ribs and cannot get them out of my head when I have gone a week without them. Purists may not like them but the people will love them. 'Cue rules and I could not be happier about having this place exist so closely. Sides are fine, atmosphere is sports-bar nice, clean, friendly staff, and tasty version of pulled and chopped pork. But I am still stuck on those ribs. The stuff of dreams!

Made my first visit to 'Cue today, to-go. My litmus test for good BBQ is the Pork Sandwich. That test is that it must be truly hickory smoked slow cooked and moist, pulled with large un-sauced chunks on a fresh toasted bun. IMO if a true BBQ passes that test most likely all other items on the menu will equally good. 'Cue passed. The Pork Sandwich was piled high with smoked chunks of pork on a fresh toasted bun with sauce on the side. Their homemade sauces (3 types) are all good. The employees are very friendly and hospitable. The smoker out front is intoxicating. Their success can be measured by the volume of business and on my visit the place was full. I did order slaw to be on the sandwich but it didn't happen. I will be going back - not for the slaw but another meal. Loved it. Had the pulled pork sandwich Pittsburgh style (with vinegar slaw, fries and a fried egg on a homemade bun) with a Reb Ale pale. Everything from scratch, what's not to like?

  • Leslie T.

Still my favorite BBQ place around. The ribs are fall of the bone tender and they have my favorite hand cut russet potato french fries. Tonight I tried the sweet potato casserole (seasonal vegetable) and it had great flavor though I would have liked it to be a little thicker. The service is always quick and friendly. They have live music Friday and Saturday nights at 7pm.

Happy to report that the food and service quality continues its winning ways here. I didn't try anything new. The sliced BBQ pork plater with creamy slaw and Southern style potato salad, sweet tea please, is what I stick to.

Nachos w/ BBQ chicken -- Chicken was surprisingly juicy given breast meat, but I didn't get a BBQ/smokey flavor on the meat. Nachos topped with black beans, cheese, and corn were a bit run of the mill but filling. Smoked pork -- outstanding. Juicy, with just enough fat to make the meat really decadent on the tongue. Falling apart tender. Sausages -- these were good too, very porky in flavor, although I'm not sure if I'd order them again. The smoked pork was better. Sides - coleslaw (mayo based and vinegar based), fries, fried okra -- all really delicious and fresh. I loved the fries. We walked out with a $46 bill, including tax/tip and 2 non-alcoholic beverages. The prices posted on their website menu are out of date. The actual prices were a few dollars higher per dish. Wasn't cheap but was indeed tasty.

Went today for the first time. Positives: - Friendly staff - Good pickles - Food (except the pork) was decent - Homemade BBQ sauces were great Negatives: - High prices. Paid $60 (not including tax or tip) for 5 people - 5 sodas, 1 full entree, 4 sandwiches with 1 side each. - Sliced pork sandwiches were really thick and fatty. - A la carte pricing for sandwiches - about $7 each with pickles only. Any sides were extra. The entrees ($10-$15 each) did include sides. - Not a lot of options for kids meals. We ordered adult meals for the kids b/c the only BBQ option was one mini slider with a side. The other kids meals sounded "minimal" as well. We've had much better BBQ for a lot less money.

The chopped pork was tender, beyond that I didn't find much to like. Although the barbecue had a good smoke ring appearance there was no smoke flavor in the meat at all. I tried to add a little flavor with some of their vinegar sauce which was watered down to compete with hospital food. They make their own sour dough buns and unless you are really in to sour dough you may not want to go the sandwich route, the sour dough is really overpowering. The service was fast but very grumpy. I think $12.25 is a little much for a pork sandwich, side of coleslaw and ice tea... YMMV.

Really good food, especially the BBQ nachos. My only complaints are that the brisket is very dry and the guacamole keeps changing. The first time I had the guac it was amazing then i went back like a week later and it was disgusting and there was no flavor. Other than that the sides are to die for and the bread is sinful. Really glad that it is in Cumming now so I dont have to drive as far to get my bbq fix.

Let me just preface this review by saying I'm not really a BBQ person. I'll eat if it's there but it's typically not my food of choice. Cue may have changed that. I LOVED this place. The atmosphere is nice and laid back but not in that typical smoky/dirty BBQ kind of way. It's more country meets industrial. I like it. Now on to the important part. The food. Wow. When I went they had two seasonal sides offered. A baked butternut squash and a sweet potato soufflé. They were both unbelievable. The squash was sweet and tender and the sweet potatoes were like none I'd ever tasted. The pulled pork was juicy and good and their main "house" sauce was yum! They also gave a good sized piece of texas toast with the platter. There were so many things in the menu that I'm dying to try that I didn't have room for. I am definitely going back (although it will probably be the Milton location as it's closer to me....) to try more! Also the service was friendly and quick. LOVE CUE!!!

Great food, excellent service, comfortable with nice decor. The sliced smoked beef brisket was tender and flavorful with great sauces, the bourbon sweet potatoes were delicious and the homemade peach cobbler was really good. The Cumming store is new but they've already got their act together. Glad they came to our neighborhood.

Not crazy about this place. Went on a Saturday night and there was live music that was VERY loud. The brisket was dry and flavorless. The homemade sausage was good but not worth the 20 minute wait (apparently it is cooked to order). The mac and cheese was pretty standard - not great. Shane's (used to be in this strip) was better. This place is going for more of a neighborhood, hang-out vibe and judging from the cars in the parking lot, people like it. Service was fine, atmosphere is cozy and casual. You can hang out at the bar and eat or drink and watch TV.

My company ordered for several people today and the group at 'Cue got everything ready without a hitch within 15 minutes. The food was delicious and, of course, the house made pickles are amazing. I'll be back, for sure

Horrible experience; my fiancé and I stopped in for a pre Dragon Con meal and a drink and my fiancé had ordered a drink before realizing that she'd forgotten her ID. When I went to order a drink for myself though, our server instead got the manager who created an embarrassing scene accusing me of ordering MY drink for her. They also REALLY seem to enjoy gendering their patrons and embarrassed my fiancé by misgendering her the whole time. Will be going to other Cue locations from here on because this place sucks

Cool looking place, nice ambiance, but leaves a little to be desired with the food.

We have tried Que several times. I really want to like this place because the atmosphere and service are great. The live music is also usually very good. I'm a pulled pork guy and believe if you are running a BBQ restaurant you have to have good pulled pork. It's the easiest and most forgiving cut so I think it's a good gauge. I'm very stubborn, so every time I come here I order the pork platter hoping it's going to be better than the last time. It never is. It is consistently bad. The meat is mushy giving it the texture of fat. The other thing giving it the texture of fat is all the fat. The only thing more disappointing in the texture of the meat is the lack of smoke flavor. I guess if you want some smoke flavor you could eat outside and hope the wind blows some smoke from the smoker that's burning wood down by the street in your direction. I think the wood burning in an empty smoker would be better served going in the meat. I've seen other BBQ restaurants do this. It'd be like having a sporting goods store and out front having people playing catch to prove you sell sporting goods. The smoke is implied by the name. However, the irony is the lack of smoke in the meat. With all that being said, I would go back because I think the pork could be easily corrected. However, I will never order the pork again. I would also like to see some chicken fingers for the kids. My son asked me to say that.

I used to like this place, until I met their manager "Brad". They do have decent ribs, and it is very close to my home, but this guy is a practicing felon. He evidently likes to get into physical altercations, brag about what a tough guy he is, and he try's to bully people (he's really a pretend tough guy, and fairly out of shape, with a big belly and skinny arms with no tone)-he's loud, insulting, inconsiderate, rude and generally an a**hole. I won't eat here again until they fire this jerk.

'Cue the violins, because this review is sad. I've been passing by 'Cue for a while, and it always seems to be packed! I finally was able to try this place tonight, and I am leaving with a very heavy to-go container. Y'all need to step up your flavor game, majorly. This was by far the most bland, tasteless BBQ I've ever had. The service has been great, live music, but C'MON - what is this "Mac and cheese soup" doing? What is this kroger brand coleslaw all about? No dry rub on the ribs? MY HEART IS CRYING. I sincerely hope you guys turn to more of a "Mama's homemade BBQ" route, than continuing down this "I could have gotten this at the Wal-Mart hot bar" road.

Disappointing. The brisket had no flavor. No dry rub or seasoning. Couldn't taste any smoke at all. Pork sandwich was bland. No seasoning or smoke. Baked beans could have easily come out of a can. Collards were lame. Employees were great, but the food won't bring me back.

I so desperately want to like this place. It's clean, the service is great, great beer taps, but the BBQ is the driest, blandest, most flavorless in the whole of Georgia. I'm trying to figure out how you can get a smoke ring, and have NO smoke flavor??? The "to die for" deviled egg potato salad that everyone raves about? Try passing the salt...also, bland, and pretty dry as well. The Pittsburgh style vinegar - based cole slaw? Pickled cabbage. I've never seen yellow cole slaw, and I MAKE vinegar - based cole slaw at home all the time. The home - made pickles were good. Now, much to Cue's credit, I didn't wait 10 seconds before our server noticed my dilemma, got a manager, who was also very kind and understanding, and made amends. I didn't want to order anything else...I tasted my husband's brisket, which he drowned in sauce, to give it flavor, and even that was bland! I don't think you should have to put a sauce on really good bbq...let the smoky flavor stand on its own, instead of masking or creating flavor that should be there to begin with, but that's just me. I took a pass, and sat there talking with my son, while my husband finished his dinner. Cue', just a suggestion, try using hickory, or pecan, or cherry wood, instead of the backyard chips off the woodpile. People LIKE Flavor...don't be afraid of it, and maybe I'll come back and visit again. Until that time, Big D's up 400 will satisfy my bbq cravings from now on. One last thing; the two stars are for the AWESOME service, and manager interaction. Between you and me, the service is 5-star, which was why I didn't give this review only one star. If you want bland, then Cue' is for you...and don't forget the sauce, you'll need it.

I got the full rack with beans and mac n cheese for sides. I am a Memphis BBQ guy, so this was a little bit of a different experience for me. I tend to like my sauce with some kick. I do enjoy KC rub though. I have been traveling through NC, SC, and GA lately. The BBQ in this area has been somewhat the same with a few differences here and there. I will start off with what I liked. I really enjoyed how meaty the ribs were. There is no lack of substance there. I also enjoyed the gristle and slightly burned areas. A little crunch on your BBQ never hurts. As stated before, things were bland. The sauce just didn't have what I am accustomed to. It wasn't hot, but it wasn't sweet...it was just there. The rub was nonexistent as well. The mac n cheese was decent. This was also a little different, but I enjoyed it. The beans were down right miserable. They were undercooked and harshly under-seasoned. I wouldn't mind giving this place another go, but bring on the hot sauce.

I really like this place. I like to get the SW BBQ chicken salad. One of the best salads ever. And they hook it up big time with the meat. The brisket is good too. Great service and staff. And the live music they have there on the weekends is nice. I wish they would have a better wine selection. Something more middle of the road quality and not "house wine". But all in all this place is great.

The service staff was knowledgeable and informative. Portions were nice and large, the way BBQ should be. The sauces were ok, but they could use labels. I saw another review of the pulled pork and I'm going to have to disagree with them. It's perfectly tender and moist. Sometimes pulled pork can be dry, but this was good. The coleslaw was creamy and flavored well, but even better with a dash of their spicier sauce. The fries were the best part though. They were hand cut from real potatoes. As far as a smaller barbecue joint guys, this place was great. Good food, good service. I'll be going back.

We had dinner at Cues on 1/8 and I was pleased. The service was excellent and the taste of the food was superb! The atmosphere was excellent and I even liked the entertainment. Overall the experience was delightful. Concerning the food what we ordered was prepared perfectly even the bbq didn't have any fat or gristle. The only thing that I see that could be improved on was the four types of bbq sauce could have been labeled. All in all, I would recommend Cues to anyone who wants a great place to eat!

First time eating at Cue's today. Trying to go to every bbq joint I can find in search of truly good bbq. The bland reviews had me concerned and I should have heeded the warning. I ordered the chopped pork sandwich with collard greens and sweet potato casserole. The portions were really good. But the food was super bland. The pork had no flavor. I had to keep adding sauce to even get any taste. The collards were also bland. Sweet potato casserole was just average. Had much better elsewhere. I didn't even finish the sandwich and I never ever leave food on my plate. The place is super clean and the workers are very nice. But I will cross this one off my list as a tried it and will never eat there again. It's worth heading down 20 toward the mall and eat at Praise the Lard on Buford Hwy. Well worth it. My quest continues....

I had the super deluxe combo. Good food and portions and service, kinda pricey, but not returning. It's too "Yankee" for me. I'm not saying serve my BBQ on butcher paper like those weirdos in Texas, but I like my BBQ pulled, messy, a little greasy and spicy....not sliced with a knife and neatly arranged like beef medallions. Not exactly "rebel-yellin' BBQ" but it was decent.

Overall the experience was ok. Restaurant looks good on the inside. Good ambiance. They seemed to be busy when I went in on Saturday night and they had some live entertainment that helped with the atmosphere. Since I had not been there before I went for a little of everything. The brisket was dry one of the hardest things to do it to cook a juicy brisket and on this one they didn't do so well. The ribs were pretty good pulled off the bone well but was lacking in some flavoring. The chopped smoked pork was good and but I would have preferred to have more bark. The deviled egg potato salad was sub-par, Mac and cheese was average. I did enjoy the Brunswick Stew. Decent portion sizes. I would give it another try but with specific items.

I patronize the North Georgia Premium Outlets more frequently than I'd care to publicly admit, but I rarely make any other stops in the near vicinity. I'm just not conditioned to survive for prolonged periods in the wilds of the OTP - as far as I'm concerned, anything longer than an afternoon visit could very well turn into something out of the movie Deliverance. However, during my recent visit, I found myself famished, and breaking bread in the mall food court with the hoards of chain smoking, bedazzled shirt wearing, church bus ladies was simply not an option. I promptly consulted Yelp and soon thereafter found myself at 'Cue. Food: 'Cue is a standard American barbecue joint. Menu options include traditional meat options like smoked pork, beef brisket, barbecue chicken, sausage, and baby back ribs. All meat platters are served with a choice of two sides from a list of about a dozen options. An assortment of appetizers, salads, and sandwiches are also available. I ordered the combo plate with pulled pork and pulled chicken - my side choices were hand cut fries and mac n' cheese. The meat wasn't particularly memorable for anything other than its luke warm temperature - the portions were also noticeably less than I've received elsewhere. The sides and barbecue sauces were fine, but again, nothing particularly exceptional. Service: It's possible I'm just accustomed to the quick turnover mentality of most restaurants in metro Atlanta, but the service was less attentive than I would have liked. There were no offers for any drink refills and the waitress didn't return even once following delivery of the food to inquire about how it was. I don't necessarily need someone hovering over me the entire meal, but some semblance of interest in patron satisfaction is generally an important crux of the hospitality industry. Atmosphere: The interior is clean, open, and well lit, but reminiscent of a chain restaurant. There's a sizable bar areas in the back of the restaurant, but the vast majority of seating is dedicated to traditional dine-in seating - there is also uncovered outdoor seating on the side of the restaurant. The general vibe is very casual and the clientele is mostly families, many of which have children hanging from every available appendage. Cost: Reasonably priced. Appetizers are generally $5-$12, salads are $5-$12, sandwiches are $6-$7 (no sides), and platters are $11-$16 (two sides). A la carte sides are $2.95 each. Other: 'Cue is located in a small strip mall on Buford Highway, less than a mile off the Georgia 400 and about equidistant between downtown Atlanta and the outlet mall. Hours of operation are Sunday-Thursday, 11AM-9PM, and Friday-Saturday, 11AM-10PM. Live music is featured on the weekends and catering is available. Free parking is available in the plaza lot.

I've been here a few times for lunch and dinner. I've been disappointed each time with a few things. The sauces aren't the greatest in flavor, the BBQ bacon beans lack seasoning and the brisquit is dry. It's a very quaint and charming place and hope they will improve on a few things

I love the pork and brisket. Sides are all pretty good. Don't get the sausage. It's dry and lacks much taste. I'm not a fan of the bbq sauces I got with take out. Very runny and vinegary. Sweet potato casserole is amazing.

It was busy when we arrived with a full parking lot - always a good sign of a popular spot! Service was friendly and swift. They did what they could to seat us quickly and get our good order in (we were trying to catch a show afterwards). We got the sliced beef brisket sandwich platter with a side of fries and coleslaw. The beef brisket was deeeeelicious and flavorful. The coleslaw was a little bland on its own but was a nice topper to the sandwich. We slathered the sandwich with all the BBQ sauce options. Large portions at a reasonable price. There was even live music to enjoy since it was a Friday night!

Great food as always and our recent trip didn't disappoint. Their homemade Texas toast , homemade pickles, are some of the extras that separate them from the other BBQ places. Our meal was great. I tried the Bananas Doster from desert menu and it was incredible. Banana pudding as a base, then nilla wafers, sliced banana pieces, whole pecans, smothered in warm buttery rum sauce, then topped with whipped cream and sprinkled with cinnamon. It was incredible!

I can't lie... this is my favorite bbq joint of all time. I have eaten everything on the menu, and you really cannot go wrong with anything you order. The ribs are always great, the sides are to die for, and the chicken is a safe bet for people who are unsure what to order. I tend to order the pork and brisket sliced, because I like the flavor of the fat and outer part of the meat. I would just ask if the brisket is looking good that day, because sometimes it can be a little dry. You cannot go wrong with any of the sides though. The fries take a bit on a busy night because they seem to be cooked-to-order, although the potato salad and collard greens are my two favorite besides the seasonal vegetable the rotate. Beware though, when they say veggies, they are not healthy, so all you people looking to stay on your diet, get a salad here!

I'm a Brisket and Rib fan. I still have not found better ribs in North Georgia than Cue. The only ribs I had that were better was in Kansas City. Since KC is a bit out of the way, Cue is my place for Ribs. The Brisket (chopped) is really good and not dry like most other places. The side dishes are great. Desserts are great especially the Banana Dessert. The staff and service have been consistantly good. I remain a regular at Cue and highly suggest it to anyone looking for great food, service and value.

Nice ambience and service. Got the half rack baby back ribs with the deviled potato salad and mac & cheese. Finger licking delicious!!! My 9 year old almost never finishes a meal but wiped clean the brisket slider with fries. The ribs meat was falling off the bones and were awesome. The best I've had in the ATL metro. They had live music which was nice. My new default BBQ place closer to home.

OK BBQ, OK SERVICE, MEDIOCRE FOOD-Warm Decor, Great Live Music. Went here for date night. Ordered Nachos appetizer, ordered Ribs and pork platter separately. Ok nachos but nothing spectacular. Both ribs and pork as well as the sides arrived lukewarm-cold and everything was pretty bland. Even after we added the sauce that was at the table. I don't know what happened in the kitchen, maybe they wanted to hurry and go home and didn't bother to make up a fresh batch of stuff. It's like they pulled frozen stuff out and reheated it (albeit not very well). We ordered the Cobbler for dessert... Not good, was mostly whipped cream and peaches??? At least we think it was peaches. There was absolutely no 'crumble/crust' that you would expect with a cobbler. Turned into a nondescript mush. The server was ok, sort of humorless and he admitted that it was slow and they might close early. Have driven by this place almost every other day and always wanted to try it. It's a shame because I really wanted to like this place and find a good BBQ place. Liked the live music and decor but one comes for the food not necessarily the atmosphere. Sorry to say there's NOTHING SPECTACULAR here that would draw me back again.

Weekly favorite for our family. The atmosphere is great for a family or a (very casual) date with music on the weekends and a great beer selection. The food is the best bbq we have had since moving here and the service is always stellar. Do your self a favor, and eat here. And always ask what the seasonal vegetable is!
