Great place for breakfast. My only complaint is their coffee. If they were to take steps to improve the quality of the coffee the serve this place would get five stars easy!

We went to breakfast at 11:00 today(Saturday). We drove from Marietta to check out Fagan's Biscuit Barn. We thought the line would not be so bad, we were wrong. There was a lot of family folks in there. A portion of the local football team, and a bunch of grandmas and grandpas! We waited in line for about 20 minutes. We were not in a rush since it was Saturday morning. We were just enjoying the day. We tried The biscuit and gravy which was good, but needed a little more spice. We really enjoyed the chicken biscuit though. The biscuits themselves are good plain. They are buttermilk biscuits, you could smell that wonderful aroma permeating through the restaurant. The bacon was fresh and tasty. We tried the hash brown casserole and were not completely turned on about it, but it was good. This place gets four stars for the biscuits! If you have biscuit in the name of your restaurant then that is what we are coming for! The biscuits are great, not too tough, just right on the buttermilk. They are bigger than average biscuits, but you will want to eat at least two! Orange Juice was fantastic! Tasted so fresh, like there was an orchard behind the restaurant. Get the large O.J. when you go. The service was very friendly as well. My only drawback is that I wish there was one in Marietta! Lucky country folks!

I love this place. Its heavy, southern, indulgent affordable food. You may end up in a fat and carb induced coma after, but good once a month or so. In addition to having biscuits and breakfast they also have some decent lunch if you like basic southern food. Check their website to see what the meat is of the day. The chicken and stuffing is a HUGE portion and tasty. Sweet potato fries rock.

Talk about some boring "Southern" cuisine. Man, that was a waste of good calories.

When I come here, the ladies there always give me that classic southern hospitality, and no matter what my mood is, they always make it better! The speed of service has gotten so much better than when they first opened! The food is always consistent, hot and tasty! My favorite are the breakfast bowls with sausage and gravy. The patty sausage, and smoked sausage are the best around! Also try the pork tenderloin! The only thing I don't get is the farmer's market out front. I understand the idea, but it makes the front appearance look cluttered. That by no means takes away from the food and top notch service! GOTTA GO!!

This is the only place I can find rating from Yelp for breakfast around (Buford, Cumming, Suwanee) area. I wish more people will posted their dining experience in this area. Because I'm sure many people live here and they must have try different restaurant like me. This place is very busy for a Friday morning when I went. They have a very small dining area inside of the restaurant. I'm not sure when it's weekend where does people sit. Their famous is their biscuit, it's very soft and fresh. I try the one egg platter($6.xx). It comes with 1 egg, grits, 1 biscuit and chicken tenders. The chicken tenders are not greasy and the honey that they giving out for dipping is pure honey. So it tastes very good. But I probably cannot eat there everyday, because it's so heavy. You know sometime you eat something that is very heavy, your body just want to rejected it. That how I feel after I eat that big breakfast that I had. I do recommend this place for breakfast, but just please don't eat this everyday.

Ok biscuits. Potato pancakes are good but, they are fried chips, not pancakes. Grits and eggs are ok. We won't be returning.

I'm not exactly a huge fan of the biscuit barn. I visited the drive thru a few mornings ago and ordered a bacon egg & cheese biscuit and it was just okay. It tasted no different to me than a biscuit I would purchase at Chickfila. Keep in mind I'm not a big fan of breakfast foods in general and that I only visited this place on one occasion. My parents absolutely love the biscuits here and continue to go back. However, it just wasn't my cup of tea.

ALWAYS the best biscuit around. And the NICEST people ever!

We always enjoy breakfast at this place. The biscuits are one of the main reasons that I love to go here. The food is southern and has never let me down. I always get the one egg breakfast platter with no grits, substitute hashbrown patties. This comes with a big, yummy biscuit. This is also one of the rare places that has APPLE jelly. I love it, but can never find it in other breakfast spots. Everything is priced reasonably and I am always satiated when we leave. It's a must try.

Enough has already been said about the biscuits. We go there more than we probably should. I am not a fan of their Mcd's style hash browns, but who cares when the best kept secret on the menu is the potato pancakes? You will have to wait a bit as they make them to order, but its totally worth it. They serve a pretty good lunch as well, even if the selection is a bit limited. Garden fresh veggies when something's in season, too. Still styrofoam plates and plastic forks, so if that bugs you take a pass.

This was my first time attending the biscuit barn. Upon entry I noticed that food was ordered and picked up cafeteria style. I was expecting something more like Cracker Barrel. They have 3 main breakfast meal combos. Each combo comes with a biscuit and your flavor of eggs bacon sausage grits or gravy. They also have cinnamon rolls and hot chocolate for those looking for a sweeter selection. The eating atmosphere is very nice and appears to be recently painted. The only concerns I have are that the parking lot is difficult to navigate or find a spot. Also the tables and floors were not cleaned to keep up with the demand. Overall I would recommend this place to those who are looking for a quick breakfast involving biscuits.

Big Red Barn... What more can one need, the look alone says hearty breakfast. -consistantly good -prices are what you would expect for good breakfast -staff was upbeat and frendly and go out of their way for you -food is great (not fancy but good) -very clean

Great biscuits! Awesome brunch place. A must visit if you are in the area when it is open.

I really want to write a negative review of Fagan's just to keep the place to myself. Hitting the Biscuit Barn at the wrong time on the weekend is already a long enough wait without more people finding out how amazing this place is, but alas, the truth must out. If I could, I would eat every single meal at Fagan's Biscuit Barn. And I don't particularly care for biscuits. I've never had a bad meal here. Never even had bad service. Just hot, delicious food, fresh veggies grown from their own gardens, fried turkey for the holidays, friendly staff, and best of all, French Coconut Pie (again, home made). There's a reason this place had to expand the restaurant. The best open secret in Cumming. tl;dr - Who cares about biscuits? Southern home cooking done right!

I actually would have given this place 2 stars but I believe in supporting local business- and I would go back to try more of the menu. My first and only time in I tried a generic breakfast platter so there was nothing to really be impressed by. I mean the same old eggs, grits, breakfast meats, etc. And to be completely honest I don't really think it's the best biscuit I've ever had. I hate to sound like a heretic but I still prefer Chick-fil-A biscuits. . .That being said, they seem to have a pretty good looking lunch menu with southern specialities. I'm not really sprinting to go back- but when I saunter by again, I will be sure to try the brunswick stew!

I love this place! I used to go here all the time on my way to school in high school. It's not close anymore but everyone I'm in the area I already get a breakfast biscuit. It's a great family owned Southern restaurant. The biscuits and gravy or a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit are my favorites!

They have great chicken biscuits for breakfast but are a bit pricey for them. I have not had any other food from here. Also the line is pretty long every morning.

I have driven by this place on numerous occasions and thought it would be a great Sunday brunch destination to try out. One could logically assume that a place that specializes in breakfast foods (particularly the biscuits and gravy variety) would surely have to be open on the one day of the week that brought them the most business, right? Wrong. Just like Chich-fil-A and half of the Thai restaurants in Alpharetta, Fagan's Biscuit Barn is also not open on Sundays. As much as I think it is a statistical impossibility, I can only assume that these people must all go to the same church...and that's not something I'm particularly happy about. After several months of waiting, I finally gave-up on FBB changing their Sunday policy and realized I better get over there on a Saturday if I ever wanted to ever try it out. My first impression of Fagan's was me pulling into the parking lot and seeing a large group of very obese people sitting in the waiting area. As I drove around the back towards the drive-thru line, I saw several more of the same type of people heading in from the parking lot. Please note, I'm not being judgmental or critical of them, I'm simply thinking about my own health and sometimes poor diet, and this visual indicated to me that I was about to be doing more harm than good. I ordered my family's requests at the drive-up window and pulled up to the pay window where a very flrty woman with a thick Southern accent must have called me "Sugar," "Doll" and "Honey" at least 2 times each in the course of taking my money and confirming my order. It was really sweet and a bit unexpected, even for a place that calls itself Fagan's Biscuit Barn. So now, after all that set-up, I will finally get to the food. We ordered two biscuit baskets, which come with: a biscuit (duh), gravy, scrambled eggs, cheese, and your choice of bacon or sausage. My wife and I tried both the bacon and the sausage. Overall, they were fairly good. Not amazingly good, nor "That's the best f*ckin' biscuit I've ever tasted" good, but definitely good enough to satisfy a biscuit and gravy craving. We added our own pepper to the gravy as we both felt it needed it. The bacon tasted freshly cooked and crumbled and the portion sizes were just right for one person. My rating of this place was actually about a 3.5, but they lose the half star for not being open on the one day of the week people need them the most.

I was hoping for more. Maybe I had unrealistic expectations but I didn't think the food was bad or great, just kind of "was what it was". Nothing offensive and nothing you'd go out of your way for.

EVERYTHING WAS WAY TOO SALTY, $/4 price wise. Homey country decor inside? I can't understand why this is so popular. It was over salted everything and really everything on the menu is heart attack inducing. We had the biscuits with gravy and Mac n cheese it was so over the top salty. It just means one thing when they add sooo much salt to something it's to mask anything that isn't fresh. Real assault on my taste buds. Everything was precooked and in heating trays so it didn't seem fresh and maybe things just got boiled down which was why it was so salty. Loved how they just scooped stuff out like slop in a ill run cafeteria. Yeah nice service. Not what I imagined. Would NOT RECOMMEND and will NOT be going back.

I love the biscuits here. They are wrapped in aluminum foil and are always HOT!! which is nice on those early cold mornings in the winter time. I stick to breakfast here so I can't really comment on the other menu items, they look like a traditional southern feel. The gravy has some sausage in it so good flavor there as well. Everyone who works here is friendly and generous every time I've visited. The only reason why it's not 5 stars is because of the hours. They are open Mon-Sat 5:30am-2pm. Even just two or three hours longer would make it easier for more lunch business for them. I don't pass here on the daily like I used to so I barely make it there before they close anymore but trust me, when I do, I'm a happy soul!

Don't even bother unless this is the kind of food (fast institutional breakfast/lunch) you like. My wife and I made a special trip here to find out if the food was any good. We both got country fried steak, mac and cheese, green beans, and cornbread. In order, greasy and gravy had no taste, not even warm, ok but those are hard to mess up, and no flavor. And the interesting thing is the Daily Special price for this place was $8.29. The exact same thing on the menu was priced at $7.69. That 60 cents doesn't sound like a lot for two people, but imagine if that was done by this establishment 200 times per day - that's $120, times 30 for a month that's $3,600. Nice intake on something that most people aren't even going to notice. We wouldn't even go back if the owner sent us free coupons and if he did we wouldn't even give them away.

Yummy, basic breakfast fare. Very limited hours but if you can catch them open it's a good place to eat and staff is awesome!

I love this place! Wish there was one in Gwinnett! I eat lunch here every Friday & it's always incredible! I love the fries, the burgers. My best friend loves their banana pudding! My grandpa had diners when I was a kid & this reminds me of his food! The inside is cozy & quaint! Everyone is so sweet & patient! You won't be disappointed!

Love this place. Awesome food and fantastic staff. My only complaint is I wish they were open later. The food is fresh and well made. Their chicken and dumplings are the best in cumming.

I make a special trip one morning to try the place out and wanted oatmeal but was told I couldn't order oatmeal unless I ordered the special which was $6.50. It has a side of fruit that I did not want and I find it puzzling but you can order what you want at a restaurant. Won't go back

I really like this place. The staff are friendly and apparently without much turnover since I'v seen the same staff over the year or so that I've visited. I've never been for lunch so my rating is based only on the breakfast. Every time I've ordered from the drive-thru, the staff will always repeat my order at the window before handing me the sack as opposed to tossing it through the small gap in my window with coins flying at me. Plus, they always say "thanks". If I could fill my pillow case with those biscuits, I would. They're really that good.

When I am home from college, I always swing by for breakfast from my favorite local joint. Only thing I do not like is the biscuit bowl, I thought it was way too salty. Stick with the normal biscuits. Chicken, egg, and cheese is my favorite, but you can literally get anything. Definitely a staple of the Southern Forsyth area.

Fagan's biscuits are great. My personal favorite is the tenderloin with egg and cheese. The steak is also delicious. Their coffee is always strong and good. If you go, get a side of potato pancakes, they are not to be missed. Fagan's is also good for lunch, their burgers are very tasty and made fresh.

Good breakfast place, better to do the drive thru because it is packed during breakfast. The biscuits are good, not great. Everything you order will be satisfying, like Mama's homecooking, if Mama is an average cook.

Ok I love this place. The only down fall is if I ate here everyday, which I use to do actually, I would get fat. So I had to slow down! But yeah I use to order sausage, egg and cheese biscuit and a coke every morning. It's not far from my work so this became a bad habit. Now I'm trying to stick to salads in the afternoons or the grilled chicken fingers. MMM... Now i'm getting hungry!

I've tried this place twice and wasn't impressed either time. The food is okay but that's about it. What really rubs me wrong about this place is the service. Both times, it seems as though it is run by grumpy ole retirees. I didn't appreciate that so I choose to spend my pennies elsewhere.

First of all, I'm a cracker, and a native of Chamblee. I have enjoyed, and suffered through, many biscuits in my quest for biscuit nirvana. Fagan's does have good biscuits, but not OH MAMMA! biscuits. They are three hops and a giant step better than The Flying Biscuit's attempts, but not up to those at the old Blue Plate Cafe in Waycross, or the Farmhouse in Pigeon Forge. Fagan's does make a mean sawmill gravy, though. Also, the lunch plates do credit to country cooking. My favorite is the country ham and scrambled egg biscuit, which has a gracious plenty-sized pile of good ham on it. I'm glad they opened up here, because the only other choice for a long time was the Waffle House. Fagan's is adding on some more dining space, so they're listening to their customers.

A great place for an affordable and delicious southern breakfast. Not something for every day, but a nice treat every once in a while! The staff is always friendly, service is quick, and the food is made to order. I love the biscuit sandwiches (my favorite is bacon, egg, cheese, and tomato) and the biscuit bowls. Haven't had anything bad!

Breakfast...yum. This is a great breakfast spot along 141 off of the quickly developing exit 13 on Route 400. The specialty of this place is breakfast biscuits (if you couldn't tell by the name), and they are great! The place is packed so I believe others agree. They have very limited seating inside, and they also have a drive through which I believe many people do since the line of cars was very long. I had a chicken biscuit which was excellent. The fried chicken was very tasty and the biscuit was perfect. If you are ever in the area, it's a great stop!

Decent place for a quick breakfast. Do not order a country ham biscuit and expect real country ham, the last 3 times i ordered the ham was basically sandwiche ham.

We were able to go to Fagan's Biscuit Barn on a recent Saturday morning. It was a delight - good atmosphere and excellent food. My only concern was I wish the line would move faster! We also wish it was open on Sunday. It would make a perfect "after church" type place for brunch! Thank you Fagan's Biscuit Barn!

OMG, yum! This is like a Martin's--which unfortunately is not anywhere around me, so I never get my fix anymore. I got a country-fried steak, egg and cheese biscuit with a side of gravy and hash browns. Yes, I was hung over. The steak is good quality and the biscuit is TO DIE FOR. Perfect southern biscuit!! As has been mentioned, this is pretty much all you can eat for the whole day due to its calorie and fat content, but it is a nice pick me up when you are hung over, or just want a biscuit like your granny used to make.
