All I can say is "wow"! From out of town looking for an Italian restaurant and found this gem. Had the meatloaf, spectacular, soft, one slice with a mushroom sauce, the other with a tomato sauce, green beans perfectly cooked, al dente, and the mashed potatoes, fantastic. Highly recommended!!

Great to have more fine dining without having to drive into ATL! Atmosphere is cosy inside and has outside tables as well on a street with NO traffic. Flavors were awesome, staff was great, pricing was inline, not too high. Will defiantly be back!

This place really is the best Italian food in the area and it's also the only "fancy" place to take your date in the area. We've been a few times and always enjoy the food.

Brought in friends from out of town. I was slightly nervous that they would share my opinion of the whole experience that is "Milazzo's Ristorante". They not only rated the evening well above our favorites, but rated the food as good or better than done they recently tasted in Italy. Milazzo's has not yet failed to make me extremely happy, but has boosted my standing among friends with very discriminating tastes. Food was totally on point, waitstaff (as usual) was totally on point and I was completely confirmed as one verifiable enough to continue making dining choices. All the best to Milazzo's... They certainly give only their best to the customers.

Everything was amazing. My significant other and I got the fried lobster ravioli for an appetizer. For entree's, we had the hangar steak platter and the crab cake platter. Both...amazing... We'll be back. VERY soon! Great customer service as well!!!

Great Italian food and solid wine list. This place is a true hidden gem. I would put their food up against Italian any restaurant in Atlanta. Caprese stack is neat twist on a classic, ravioli is wonderful appetizer. Their special is always that and can't go wrong with a dish that bears the name of the joint, Pasta Milazzo.

I really wish we could do half stars because this joint is 4.5 stars fo sho. This joint would not be out of place in Atlanta, nice style, excellent food. Tucked away in a nice little neighborhood, this restaurant feels like a little neighborhood place but nice enough for a solid date night spot. Food has always been outstanding. Service is A-OK too. If you are in the area you would be an idiot not to check Milazzo's out.

What has impressed me over and over at Milazzo's is the chef's ability to freshen up standard dishes without getting weird. Whatever twist or turn her imagination takes it seems to anticipate the diner's imagination and then to crown it. Tonight I had her Tuscan meatloaf with green beans and mashed potatoes and I was loving the beans, enjoying the fact that I did not have to choose between tomato or mushroom sauce on the meatloaf, and I meandered over to the potatoes. They turned out to be the best mashed potatoes I have ever had. Just a lovely meal, pleasant and helpful waiters, a nice intimate atmosphere. Milazzo's never disappoints.

I can't comment on the food, but the one time we stopped by this restaurant, the overwhelming alcohol smell that hit us at the front door made us well and truly loose our appetite. Maybe we'll give it another try soon...

Very cute place, but service was poor, food was nothing interesting. We ordered several small plates to sample the menu. My cosmo was the worst I have had. The sausage filled mushrooms were too salty. The caprese was bland. The gorgonzola gnocchi was too rich. Salad dressing was watered down and tasteless. The waitress asked if she could get us a box 10 min after getting our food, definitely a hint she wanted us to leave and go to the next customers.

We had an absolutely fabulous experience here!! We came in late but the server was still happy to serve us, and he was cheerful and knowledgeable about the food and wine. He brought us out a couple samples, and all the food we had was perfection. Not a single complaint, if I lived in this area I would be a regular.

Heard great things about the food so I was excited to have lunch there today. There was a wait which was kind of odd since there was almost no one there when we arrived, (which is why I gave it 4 stars), but the food was worth the wait! Had an excellent cup of gazpacho, a perfectly prepared and delicious piece of salmon, and a very interesting and different bleu cheese bacon cole slaw. I'll definitely be back! Loved the decor by the way!

Consistantly excellent. Exceptional gnocchi appetizer and caprese stack. I've had entree's off the menu as well as specials--all very interesting, aristic presentations, and great blends of flavors and textures. Really nice wine list [and really really nice wines available from the owner's selection not on the menu].

Formerly called Garden in the Grove. This is an uptown restaurant in a small town. The ambiance is great, the only restaurant in Newton County, with any style or decor. but it is the food that will keep you coming back for more, my son and I were there for lunch today. We shared a Caprese Stack, beautiful tomatoes stacked around fresh mozzarella, fresh basil and asparagus, in a perfect balsamic dressing. For an entree I had the curry chicken salad sandwich and the corn, mozzarella, tomato salad. The taste was superb. My son had the pimento cheese stuffed burger, it was a huge burger and he thought it was great. The menu has plenty to select from, without being overwhelming. Although I admit to seeing at least a dozen dishes that I'm dying to try. And now for the dessert, I chose the Italian Creme Cake. wow. Their coffee is a better than any I have had elsewhere. I am looking forward to another visit for lunch or dinner as soon as possible.

At least Covington has a decent restaurant for a "nice" meal on occasion. People rave about the food here. I thought it was okay. My objection is not to the quality of the food as much as to the green-washed menu. Newton County may not have a critical mass of sophisticated locavores, but some of us know that sourcing "local asparagus" in November is impossible. What other miracles might they work in their kitchen? I hope that they are telling the truth about the local & seasonal sourcing they proclaim on the menu. Other than that, our service was very good. Go here if you want decent food without having to drive all the way to Atlanta.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
