If I want Chinese food, this is where I go. My go-to dish is General Tso's chicken and my husband is a pork fried rice guy. I don't normally vary my choice unless I'm eating at the lunch buffet (which is also very good), but I can highly recommend the General Tso's chicken. Also it's good to note that there is not a special combination dinner listed on the take out menu for General Tso's but whenever I order take out, I ask if I can get General Tso's chicken as a combination dinner and they have given it to me every time. Combination dinners come with fried rice, egg roll, chicken wing, and a choice of egg drop, wonton, hot & sour, or vegetable soup. The combination dinner fried rice is good but doesn't have any veggies which can be a positive or a negative depending on your style. Egg roll is ok, about like any other Chinese place. Soup comes with an extra charge if you are taking out, so I usually forgo the soup, but their egg drop soup is very good. Another plus for this place - they give you a choice of a chicken wing or crab rangoon. I would never eat the chicken wing - doesn't look appetizing to me, but I love crab rangoons so that makes me a happy girl. Crab rangoons don't travel so well in a styrofoam container with steam from the hot chicken, but they are still delicious. Considering the service, I have never found anything to complain about but I normally get take out so I'm not sure about the dine-in service. The owners are super nice people - fast and friendly. As for the cleanliness, yes this place could use a good cleaning. However, compared to the other Chinese restaurants in the area - it seems squeaky clean. I gave it 5 stars mainly b/c the food is good, portions are large, they offer substitutions, and they are friendly.

This is my PLACE. My fiancé and I lovingly refer this place as The Bamboo Palace. It's very close to my heart. I eat here at least on a biweekly basis and I've never been disappointed. The service is always pretty awesome. My dish is usually sesame chicken with lo mein and my fiancé gets sweet and sour shrimp. Both are delish. I've never eaten the buffet but I'm sure it's pretty awesome too if you're in to that sort of thing.

Some time around January 2014....Quite possibly the worst food I have ever eaten. My wife and I got there around 12:15 in the afternoon for lunch buffet. Looked like the food had been sitting in the trough for days. I tried 7 or 8 different dishes...all bad. Crab rangoons-soggy and just yuck! I won't be back....ever!

I have always loved this place. The people are friendly, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere used to be really great, one of the few places in Habersham County worthy of a date night or a special dinner. Now, though, the place smells a little musty, like the carpets could use a good cleaning. The people are still friendly, and my take-out was still good. I just wish the restaurant still had that atmosphere that set it apart from most of the places in town as a really nice place to eat.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
