Mad Dog’s Bbq Menu

Ribs were salty and soft (like baked in oven), but they did have a bit of a smoke ring/smoky flavor). Wife and daughter said pulled pork sandwich was ok. Onion rings are frozen. Sauce is not that good. Brunswick stew was best part of meal. I was disappointed because I wanted to finally find some good barbecue and not have to cook it myself. Back to the grill for me...

Love this BBQ! It's so good we make regular trips from Atlanta just for the Dean's Special! We also enjoy the fact that you can request more inside or outside meat. Everything here is delicious!

If you want great BBQ, then you can only find yourself at one place in Rockdale or the surrounding counties. Mad Dog's provides excellent selection, quality, service, and value. Try the Dean's special named after a local car mechanic or just check out the musical past of the owner/BBQ master. Enjoy Patty's warm hospitality too...

Had lunch here recently at a friend's suggestion. The pulled pork sandwich was exceptionally good and the people were very friendly. It's nothing fancy but it's good food, clean, and reasonably priced. I will definitely return.

Food might have been good? I made the big mistake of going on Sat. Night at 6:30. Waited for one hour and thirty three minutes for the order. By the time I got back to the hotel it was after 8 and I as too tired to eat. May give them another try when I can go early and have plenty of time.

I found this diamond of a BBQ place back when I worked in the Conyers area over 2 yrs ago. Although it was a bit far to drive for lunch, we would take a slightly longer lunch every now and then to venture here. It might not be the prettiest place ever but they sure have good food! I initially got the pork sandwich lunch but eventually switched to my favorite, the chicken sandwich. The meat is soooo good! It has such good smoked flavor and is so moist too! I even like the bun they put it in! Their fries are good and they now have corn nuggets! Who doesn't like corn nuggets!?! I wish the area I live in now had BBQ like this! You must try it out!

Check the map!!! Be careful to confirm the address...When I used the map feature of yelp, it took me to a neighborhood 15 minutes away. Very good BBQ with a friendly staff. We had pulled pork and chicken, grilled cheese, cheese dog, fries and Brunswick stew and everything was very good. The stew and pulled pork were my favorites.

This place is a nice little gem hidden deep in Conyers. I've only had the ribs, but they are delicious! I don't really care too much for the barbecue sauce and I've never tried any of the sides, but the ribs are exquisite! :) Also, the staff is always friendly. They sometimes sell out of ribs, so I always call before I make the 30 minute drive to check the availability. That's pretty much it folks. Good ribs & nice people!

My god this place is delicious. And I don't even care about bbq. AND I just moved here from Texas. The woman up front was fabulous and her brownies were to die for. I'm kind of ready to go back again even though I still have leftovers.

Best BBQ around!! The only place I eat ribs, they are nice and meaty and don't even need sauce.

My goodness. This pitmaster rules. The pulled pork makes you want to eat the containers they come in. The brunswick stew is exceptional in my opinion as well. I need to try more things on their menu, but I cannot get past the pulled pork because it is so delicious.

This is great place that I love to stop by for lunch if I have the chance and sometimes I'll grab dinner here too. For lunch The pork sandwich served with crispy fries a pickle and a drink is amazing as well as the rib plate with the rub sauce for dinner.

Mad Dog's Bbq is a great rib place. Potato salad is the best restaurant styled I have ever eaten. Ribs are smoky, tender and so good. Located in a shopping center behind Sonic on GA 20, it is well worth seeking out. My family is coming in from Michigan this weekend and this will be their welcome back to Georgia dinner! Closed on Sundays.

Today my obsessive yelping lead me 40+ miles from my home to Conyers, Georgia. A place that puts the COuN, in countraaay! But I was hoping that would be a good thing. Located in a shopping center that is mostly unoccupied by defunct businesses, they weren't hard to find. Just look for the area where all the cars are parked. Inside had a little BBQ ambiance with the typical pictures & figurines of pigs you would expect scattered about. Service was all business. Take your order, pay your bill and they'll call you when it's ready. Not rude mind you, but for some reason when it comes to BBQ joints I like a staff with loads of personality. However, it was pretty cool they use your name to let you know when your order is ready and walk it out to you. THE FOOD Rib Plate (1/2 slab) | $10.95 The ribs here remind me very much of the flavor of Heirloom Market BBQ. They are very meaty and have a nice Memphis-style rub (although I would have liked a little more salt). Thankfully their smoke signature is much tamer that Heirloom, where the ribs taste like they were bathed in ashes in my opinion. They have both tangy and hot sauces to choose from or you can use the watery sweet "rib sauce"'. Overall I would give the ribs 4 flavor stars. The fries were good, especially drowned in rib sauce and the baked beans were absolutely perfect. Sweeten just the way I like them. 4 and 5 stars respectively. My only real criticism is it takes a while to get your order. Also, I could tell the ribs were reheated because some areas towards the center of the bones were barely warm. FINAL THOUGHTS When I consider the value and meatiness for the money, I can't help but give Mad Dog's a high rating. Add the deliciousness of the sides and I am truly a fan. Just slightly off the mark when it comes to my idea of BBQ perfection but a highly recommended when considering BBQ in Metro Atlanta.

I planned a trip here due to Yelp. I have to say that I enjoyed the ribs a lot but my boyfriend felt they had tons of fat. My pulled pork was on the dry side but we loved the Brunswick stew. It's not the best Bar-B-Q we've eaten but I dig the atmosphere and the staff was nice. You can tell they get a lot of business, it was busy but we didn't wait more than 10 minutes.

I absolutely love their Brunswick Stew. It is the closest to my aunts that I have had. They give you a lot of food at a reasonable cost.

Quality BBQ. Have had chicken and pork both high quality. Stew and slaw are both good. Sauce could be better.
