Great tilapia sandwich but chicken fingers and pulled pork barely average. Prices higher than you would expect. But it's a diner with character in the right place and with free refills on sweet tea.

Walked in about 1:00 p.m. On a Sunday, with my wife and two kids. We sat and waited. Two of us went to the bathroom and returned and still no one came to welcome us or take our order. We could see the staff looking at us, talking about us, even arguing about what to do with us. But no one ever came over. After about 15 minutes of sitting, awkwardly and being completely ignored, we got up and walked out. One of the strangest experiences I've ever had.

THE WORST! Terrible service, the food is worse...and it took an hour to get our food when there were only 4 other people in the restaurant. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR $$

Well folks, this is a low to average diner that could improve to good or great with a little effort. The decor is kind of neat ... galvanized roofing used for wall coverings, and sawmill planks above that. Splash a few old signs, some neon, and a few strings of Christas lights ... and you've got a nifty kind of place. We got there too late for breakfast (which was our original aim) but they still had some biscuits left over from the breafast service which ended at 11:00. The "Cat Head" biscuits are big, about four inches by four inches, but are sheet pan style. Read that as thin. You can split one, but do so carefully and gingerly. Tasted a bit of Bisquick ... not that this is necessarily bad, but real butter and decent honey would have been nice. They only had something called "whipped spread" and the honey was a thin clover that had been bought at a bargain basement. No, really, the ingredient label listed clover honey and high fructose corn syrup. C'mon, exactly how much money are you saving with cheap honey? Drop me a note, I'll give you the contact information for LL Lanier's Fancy Tupelo Honey out of Weewahitchka, Florida. It's the champagne of all honeys, and worth every penny. Nope, scratch that, I don't want them to run out before I've placed my next order. We also tried several lunch sandwiches and specials. My wife tried the beef-vegetable soup. Horrible. The beef was ground hamburger, the soup was thin tomato water filled with beef grease and some grey lumps considered to be vegetables. Really, they could have just opened her a can of Progresso and scored 100% better. I tried the smoked pulled pork sandwich and onion rings. The onion rings were quite good ... but the pulled pork sandwich was dry and tasteless. I tried resurrecting it with dill pickle chips, sliced raw onion, and a double dose of their sweet barbeque sauce ... but nothing helped. I suspect it was a product purchased frozen in bulk from a supply company, not the real deal. Our daughter got the chicken philly sandwich, and managed to get through it ... but didn't finish her lunch either. The staff was friendly ... but whomever is in the kitchen needs to be inspired ... or replaced. Get some local flavor, get some fresh produce and vegetables, serve lunches with fresh sliced tomatoes, do breakfast all day, drive to Atlanta for a Flying Biscuit, have some locally baked bread (go get some from Crescent Moon Bakery in Clayton) ... but do something.

The service here was horrible. The waitress was very disinterested in working the day my friend and I visited this restaurant. Our food (burger and egg salad sandwich) took almost 40mins to cook! Of course our waitress never camed to check on us after the food was served. I was even more annoyed and disappointed to find her curly brown hair in my fried okra! Disgusting.
