By far the best Italian place that I've ever eaten! Incredible food and lovely waitstaff. I highly recommend the garlic rolls dipped in tomato basil soup!

Very Disappointing Experience. Place was a Run down (Not Rustic), plain, unimpressive establishment. Booths were small and seats were old and worn. We were seated and weren't greeted at the table for 15 min. Mind you there were only 5 other guests there. Finally order Pasta with meatballs on the side for the kids and it took 40 min to just get the kids food out. The adults food came out 15 minutes after that. One Good thing was that the kids liked there plain noodles! I ordered the Chicken Marsala. The twice cooked small dried to a pulp chicken breast was drowned in something similar to I guess Marsala Wine. However it was thick and tasted like gravy. Had to get my own check as the waitress was off talking to a friend and couldn't be bothered to stop by the booth to ask how everything was. Left with 100% certainty we will never go back.

This is the best place in town to get an authentic Italian cuisine. I was blown away on how the food tasted. It's amazing

Finding tasty Italian in Cartersville is not difficult. One should just hop on over to Armando's! I ordered the fried Mozzarella sticks to start, and the breading was complimentary and not too over powering to the cheese. Delicious marinara for dipping. The Caesar dressing on the salad had a nice flavor...not too much anchovy-ness. For the entree, I chose the Chicky-chicky Parm-Parm (treat yo' self), which was crispy on the outside but tender on the inside. Nice evening!

We found this place on Yelp after visiting Pettit Creek Farms Christmas lights. I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting much, but what we got was a really great meal. I had the chicken parm, which was very good, and the chicken didn't taste frozen. The red sauce is very good, and a perfect balance of flavors. My wife had the baked ziti, and she loved hers, as well. What put it over the top was the server. Apparently, she is a family member, we found her to be genuinely kind and helpful and just a very great server. We'd definitely go back to this place.

Walking in with another couple behind us. We were seated and sat there for a few minutes. A waitress came and took the drink order of the couple who came in after us, walked past us. Two other servers walked past our table without taking to us. They all knew we were there because we made eye contact and smiled. The waitress came back took the order of the other couple. 10 minutes with no acknowledgment. Very rude.

We came here inadvertently, not wanting to wait an hour for the popular 'we-don't-take-reservations' steakhouse in Cartersville. I was skeptical. Armando's has little atmosphere, tables at the banquettes were a tad small for four adults, and frankly, I thought it would be pizza-only. But it's not! While our meals weren't quite four stars -- round up from 3.75 -- we were all happy. We ordered a cheapie carafe of burgundy and found it to be really good. The salads were primarily iceberg, but the homemade dressings were excellent. If you like garlic (and don't mind the after-affects the next morning) try creamy garlic. Eggplant parm had a nice spin being slightly sweet; sausage and peppers were good (though the meat could have been chunkier. I prefer it cut thicker.) The chicken francese should have been pounded thin, but nonetheless was tasty with a good lemony sauce. Dishes are made-to-order and could be altered to suit your taste. (No problem getting our pasta with garlic and olive oil, instead of tomato sauce.) Prices are fair, and the wait-staff, friendly and helpful. Erica, our server, was on the ball and clearly makes new and old patrons alike, feel at home.

Friendly service, but the pizza doesn't taste homemade.

The staff were very friendly but the food was a big disappointment, especially considering the four star rating the restaurant has. You could probably get better Italian food at a chain restaurant in Cartersville and definitely better Italian at non-chain restaurants ITP.

Tried Armando's for lunch today. Killer garlic rolls a pretty good pizza. Service was very good for 1 girl running the place. Prices were about average or below. Only bad thing was getting in and out of their lot. Location seems to be swallowed up by urban expansion.

Awesome experience. Our waitress was very courteous, friendly, and prompt with the service. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. My husband had the Chicken Parmesan which had a very flavorful marinara sauce, and the chicken was the size of my head! I had the Carbonara pasta which was just super good and filling. We shared a small seafood type pizza which was actually pretty big. You can choose how spicy you want it, we choose mild which I thought was just right. Great crust and great ingredients! So good. We were given lots of bread which was warm, fresh, crunchy, buttery & garlicy. My soup was just delicious. We ended the meal with strawberry cheesecake which was good. I'm excited to try the Cannoli next time :) The prices are on point! Super reasonable for what you get. Will be returning!

Wonderful, wonderful restaurant! It's small and romantic, just like I like all of my restaurants. The only thing that ticks me is the music. It's alot of mainstream. And most Italian restaurants like this one usually plays authentic Italian music. But the music doesn't bother me enough that it deserves anything less than 5 stars. The marinara sauce is very thick, and is very flavorful; it's kinda like a homemade sauce I'm sure Armando made. The platter I got was like a sample platter that included everything on the menu almost. The shells were huge! When it came down to the food, it was delicious. I hated that EVERYTHING was filled with cheese, but it was expected, so really no complaints. My waitress was extremely nice, and the over-all experience was wondwerful. Highly recommended.

Food was okay, nothing spectacular but hit the spot later at night. I received a few restaurant.com vouchers in exchange for reviewing this restaurant and when I explained to the manager he gave many excuses why he doesn't like restaurant.com , all the problems he has had with them, and didn't want to deal with them. In the end, he decided based on the value of my order (over $40) that he would take 2 ($5/each off total of $10). Problem was, after checking out I noticed that I was overcharged by $5. When I called back he wanted to argue with me regardless of the fact that we went over the menu pricing 4 times and at 7% tax (as per him) it was still over $4 short. I wasn't going crazy about $4 it was the principal. If you agree to take a voucher that you will be paid on, you shouldn't try to recoup and double dip by overcharging your customer. I won't be going here again, I just don't like how the situation was handled. My husband also didn't receive the salad that was suppose to come with his meal and the tiramisu was frozen.

Traveling thru GA and looking for something other than normal interstate exit fast food. We are glad we ventured off I75 and found this gem. Pizza was outstanding. We had a white pizza with tomatoes, pesto, cheeses and added sausage (my hub likes meat on pizza ). The sausage was delicious. Link sausage sliced and quartered into bite size chunks of just perfect spicy goodness. Also ordered a pasta dish. Angel hair with meat sauce. The meat sauce was thick and flavorful, and pasta cooked just right. It was Mothers Day, so they added a complementary dessert with the meal. Overall, I could not find fault with any part of the meal. Service was friendly and efficient. You don't always get that in the chain restaurants!

We got the special of the day, soup or salad, rolls, and cheese ravioli in rosé sauce with zucchini, squash, and broccoli. The tomato soup was phenomenal. Slightly spicy, with a pleasant consistency. The garlic knots may have come from pre-made dough but they were still good. The cheese ravioli was the best I've ever had. Fresh, tasty Italian dinner for less than $10. I'd say that's phenomenal. If the bread had been a wee bit better I would have given this 5 stars, but I love bread.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
