We've been enjoying the flavors of southern Italy at this restaurant for some time. Never been anything but thoroughly pleased with the food, service, and hospitality. My husband is something of a foodie when it comes to stromboli and has pursued his love of it across the USA. He says Italy's is hands down the best he's ever eaten. The crust is so crisp and the cheese is divine! Get the original for the full octane variety. Last night we picked up an enormous pepperoni and mushroom pizza and a stromboli and left just $22 lighter in the pocket book. Love seeing the owner tossing that hand made pizza dough with such ease! He's a magician and it tells in your mouth. As a longtime pizza lover, I have to say Italy's variety, freshness, and authenticity is nowhere else to be found in the south. Their specials that change frequently have never disappointed! My suggestion is to avert your eyes from the stack of yummy garlic knots on display or you may feel so befuddled you won't remember what you came in to order! But then, if you yield to their siren call, you won't be sorry you did. We give Italy's 3 thumbs up!!!

This is a great place to go. Relatively inexpensive. The pizza is excellent, and I have really enjoyed their stuffed shells. For garlic lovers, the garlic knots are delicious. However, they are not for those who do not love intense garlic.

Italy's Pizza is absolutely authentic New York style. The menu is very reasonably priced, and the food is top quality in generous portions. The owners (Oliver and Luigi) are brothers from Italy, and are always there and make all the pizzas by hand themselves. Ask about their favorite soccer team back home! The staff are bright and very friendly, a wonderful place to take the family!

Pretty good for GA pizza....I loved the calzone...good size, good flavor! They use a high quality cheese and can definitely taste the difference compared to other pizza places. Being from NY it's hard to find anything even close but this place by far is the closest...I will go back!

This is the place for pizza in the Hamilton Mill area. It's that simple. Authentic NY style with the freshest toppings. A friendly staff that provides great service.

The pizza here is absolutely delicious. Light, tasty crust & fresh, flavorful toppings. It's well out of my way, and worth every minute of the 25 minute drive! (I've also had pasta & salad here - not as great. I'll just stick with the pizza!)

Good pie. Thin crust, light on the sauce, and just the right amount of cheese. Cooked right so not a lot of grease. Also tried the caprese appetizer it was delicious. Will certainly come here again.

GARLIC ROLLS melt in your mouth....PIZZA is as good as the ones I've tasted in Italy....and this place is right doown the street from my house. SCORE!!! We usually order out so I can't comment on service, but we are huge fans of the food.

We were driving through Buford on our way back from South Carolina and we wanted to pick up a pizza so I "yelped" and found great reviews of Italy's Pizza & Pasta. We decided to give it a try and we were so happy we did. We really enjoyed our pizzas and I want to say that while we were waiting for our take-out order the food that was being served looked so good, I want to go back and try some other of their other menu items.

First. We LOVE this place. Outside of the city, best pizza there is. They did lose a star though from last nights performance. I understand the pizza won't be the same every time but it should be consistent. We had family in from out of town last night and wanted a Sicilian pizza. So we called and waited the normal 45 min. Pizza was on time. Not late. It was DRY though. I hate to say it though but it was not top shelf. Cheese was only in the middle of the pie and crust was hard. We also ordered a medium two topping and that was delicious. Go here. Eat here. Enjoy it! We are going to keep coming back. One dry pie won't keep us away!

The date and I definitely loved it here when we made a stop yesterday for a late lunch. The food was pretty good, and the service was super friendly and great. Get the white pizza! The thin crust was super crispy and hot. The cheese was so goooood. The 14 inch is definitely enough to share. Although the portion on the ravioli with vodka sauce was on the smaller side, it did come with a small salad and homemade bread with an olive sauce on the side. This was definitely more than enough food to share with the other half of the pizza taken as to-go. We both agreed that we were just at the right amount of full, not the overstuffed kind. The ingredients were fresh and made hot to order. Although this place seems like another chain restaurant with the typical food and service, I'd say this place has wow'ed it! Oh. They are located in a small strip facing Hamilton Mill in front ish of Walmart and across from the CVS in the area.

I tried this place a while back and thought it was "ok". after coming back a year later to give it another shot, my opinion has not changed much. the menu is enticing, and the food looks terrific, but it is of average quality. just south of this place is "Luigi's" by the mall of GA, and just north of it is "Napoli's" in flowery branch. either of those places are a much better quality of food in the same price range. I would recommend traveling a few miles towards either of those places before eating here. if you can't and can drive no further, then stick with the pizza as the pasta dishes are ok, but the sauce is mediocre at best.

Awesome experience at Italy's! I came here with the University of Alabama's Triathlon team for a pre-race meal and the staff was super friendly and accommodating. I called ahead and they were able to make room for all 20 of us in their little place. The service was very quick especially for our big group and the food was excellent for the price with some big portions! After we had stuffed ourselves with pasta, to our surprise they brought out eight plates of their amazing little donut desserts for us. We will be back for dinner again the night before next year's race!

Love this place. It's a bit pricey but the quality makes it worth every penny. The garlic knots are incredible. As is the pizza. The staff is what you'd expect, teenagers, but amazingly they are very friendly and mature so that's not a con for this wonderful little pizza place.

  • Shannon D.

Amazing! Can't remember the last time I picked up a piece of pizza and held it by the crust- and it was straight! How pizza should be! Love it!

One of the best places to eat in Buford! My family and I eat here almost weekly and have also had them cater for us before. We have never had a bad experience at Italy's! Service is always wonderful and the food is delicious :)

Every meal is consistently very good. Best customer service. They ran out to my car when I left part of my To Go order and they were smiling and gracious about it. We also dropped a meatball during our meal. They quietly cleaned up our mess and brought another fresh meatball to us without us having to ask. We dine all over the USA through travel and Italy 's is one of our favs.

My family and I happened upon Italy's one night when we were out running errands in the area. What a good find! The pizza was excellent, the employees super friendly, and they even brought out fresh baked bread with dipping oil. It was all delish! Monday and Tuesday they offer an 18" 2 topping pizza for $12.50.

Solid Italian food that closely resembles our food experience in Italy not long ago. Pizza is maybe the best in greater Atlanta metro area and salads and pastas are really great as well. Authentic feel and great service. We dine in and pick up/ take out frequently.

To put it in one word or less, Awesome! I have yet to have anything here that I didn't love. My wife's first job was at a mom and pop pizza joint. She is a bit of a pizza snob. So, for this to be our 'go to' pizza place is a huge deal. We have also had Ravioli, Greek Salad, and several different Calzones. This place is Fantastic. If you are local to this area, you owe it to yourself to give it a try.

We were visiting Buford with our 3 young kids. Italy's staff was extremely polite and made our family feel welcome and comfortable. The garlic knots and cannoli's were pretty awesome as well!!

Love this place! Excellent sandwiches, salads, and pizza. The owner is from Naples, Italy and you can really see it in the fine quality of the food. My husband is from Italy and he really felt like home here. We will make this a regular place!

Picked up two pies last night, Wonderful. Large cheese and large sausage tomatoes mushrooms and spinach. I'm never going to loose these last few pounds! Both pizzas were made with care and the staff are just wonderful. DW

Not a great presentation from the outside, if the workers clean up the tables quickly and eat some where where their not seen...it would have been a better start. No alcohol permit...what the heck! Due to size...lol Good guys so far..Brad was excellent. Mozzarella was excellent as well. Pizza..better than most.

If you are in the mood for something other than Italian get the cheesesteak hoagie, I am picky about cheesesteaks and this one really delivers, especially because of the hot crunchy bread; they have hot sauce on the side too if you ask for it. Pizza slices made to order are really good. Only disappointment was a chicken salad my wife got once. It was not your average looking chicken, very dark, was marinated in something we didn't like, maybe balsamic vinegar? She was obviously disappointed but they didn't offer anything to help make amends. Maybe one day they can sell beer, til then it's gonna be 4 stars.

Best pizza around! I recommend them to anyone! He uses all fresh and superb products! On a side note to anyone with a Dairy allergy, you must have one of his stromboli's stuffed with sausage and veggies! It is to die for!

  • Stan T.

Wow!! An authentic NY style pizza right in our neighborhood. 5 star does not do justice. The food and the customer service is just beyond amazing. The owners takes care of his customers and he prepares the pizza by hand himself. Love coming here and it's the best hole in the wall place!!!

Probably my favorite pizza and pasta place in NE GA. There are some equally as good places in town but this one is right up there with the best of them. You can't up beat their lunch value.

Incredible food, the Stromboli, calzone, caprese salad, garlic knots...our new favorite! Tip: you're in good hands when the person answering the phone has a thick Italian accent

Tasty NY style thin crust pizza. Sauce and cheese were both good and in the right proportion to the crust and other toppings. The crust was good, but a little soggy near the center of the slices. Overall, best pizza in the Buford area. Looking forward to trying out their red sauce Italian dishes. Nice local find

This place is awesome. We eat here about once a week. Its run by a real Italian. It awesome to here him speaking Italian. I've never been disappointed with food. Everything is awesome. The pizza is great I really love the sausage. The garlic knots are fantastic. They use awesome ingredients like fresh mozzarella and great kalamatta olives. I also love the pasta and sandwiches too. I'm getting hungry writing the review. The prices are pretty good and it's a place you can bring the kids.

I've been trying to find a good pizza place close to home. I was excited to try this place out. The service is pretty good. My excitement grew when the garlic rolls arrived. They were really good however, that's when everything came crashing down. I ordered a 14 inch cheese pizza and it was quite possibly the worst pizza I have ever tasted. The crust was ok. The sauce was so watery that the pizza looked like a soupy mess. Topped by the fact that it hardly had any cheese it on. Watery, very little cheese, and no flavor. That pretty much sums up the pizza at this place.

  • Michael M.

Ah, I came in expecting Chicago style deep dish pizza. It wasn't what I thought it was more of a doughy pan pizza that is twice baked but still not done on the insides. Their original style pizza looked better, and there service was quant. The wings were undercooked but they happily recoiled my wings that were huge to begin with. I would go back, but not get another deep dish.

They have a great selection and obviously care about quality. I've tried almost everything on the menu and have never been disappointed!

Good pizza, good service, clean atmosphere and very reasonable pricing, what more can you ask for in a small local eatery? My advice to travelers along north I-85 toward SC or NC, give this place a try, only 1 min off the interstate exit. It will not leave you sick like the typical fast food off an interstate exit. The pricing for 4 beats fast food any day. What makes a good pizza you ask? Well, to start off, the dough must be thoroughly given a chance to rise/ferment, giving it a fluffy and easy to digest flavor to it. Sauce, must be as natural as can be, not overpowering w/ seasonings, etc. Cheese and toppings, must be quality and I am not talking Papa John/Dominoes/etc. Add some TLC by an owner/chef who cares, you end up w/ a very enjoyable pizza, tastes great and won't leave you bloated. Those who worry about weight issues, this is where it gets interesting. When you eat quality locally prepared food like this, it won't be as big of an issue vs the fast food/chain variety that uses low quality ingredients, pays little to hire non qualified food handler touching your food (yuck), and you end up w/ a long term care medical bill by putting all that junk in the system. I am so glad this pizzeria chose to open here, thank you very much.

I really wanted to like this place because of the nice service and friendly atmosphere, along with my desire for deep dish pizza. There was a steady stream of pick-up orders and a few eat-in customers. My husband and I came specifically for the deep dish pizza on Super Bowl Sunday. Based on the picture, I knew that it wasn't trully deep dish, but thick crust, nontheless. After we placed our order, we received the complimentary bread with an olive, garlic, and spice dip. The toasted bread was good, but the dip tasted vinegary, like old prechopped garlic that comes in jar.. I'm just saying... Anyway, I chowed down on the yummy bread. As an appetizer, my husband ordered the hot wings. We ordered the 18' deep dish with pepperoni, sausage, onion, bell pepper, mushroom, and we added ground beef. The plump wings came out hot, on a bed of lettuce, no carrots or celery. After he ate a couple, he realized that the next few were undercooked on the inside. Yes, they were fresh, but too fresh! He asked for them to be recooked and they recooked the same ones and gave them back to him... I don't know if they put them in the microwave or fryer, but i was turned off and didn't try them. We didn't any real consolation, complimentary garlic knots or anything..,. The pizza came out later, as ordered and with a generous helping of cheese. To my dismay, the dough was undercooked. You could see and taste the line of undercooked dough between the layers of cooked dough on the top and bottom. The outer edges were thoroughly cooked, yet, I could deal with hard crust. Despite my dismay of the undercooked dough, the pizza was generally good. The flavor was good, if you could overlook the dough. I imagine that the thin or regular crust pizza would actually be good. I think they gave it a good try.... I didn't know that the specialty was a pizza with a thinner crust. If you like thinner crust, go for it. No bearing on the rating, but there is one more thing... the cashier/waitress kept asking the customers if they wanted a copy of their credit card receipts. I didn't understand why she kept asking. Does printing the receipt cost that much? Or maybe she was just being nice and would throw it away for them if they didn't want the receipt, like they do at QuikTrip. Idk, maybe I was just listening to well. If you find a for real Chicago style deep dish (not Nancy's), holla at me! I want to try it!

Hubby and I were looking to do a major "cheat" night from or diets and were determined to find the best of the best. After seeing so many good reviews, we had to try Italy's. soooo not disappointed! From the garlic knots, to the pizza slices and chicken parm, our taste buds were dancing a jig! The price tag made this cheat night one if the best ever! So glad we have another weapon in our arsenal of good eats. We recommend this small family-owned gem not only for the delicious fare, but the great value and awesome staff.
