Pleasantly surprised how good the food is. I thought I was in a John Grisham nobel. I had lunch but will come back to try breakfast.

Not bad but not amazing value $7.99 for country steak with potatoes and okra. Pre-made steak with white gravy and instant potatoes, gravy was acceptable. Okra burnt to a crisp, biscuits not homemade. Good flavor but missing the homemade you would expect from the look.

We went in for breakfast today for the first time. The GPS directions were wrong and took us to South Cobb High School. It is on the next block over near the intersection of Austell Rd and Clay Rd. It's very old school country kitchen set up with counter seating, booths and tables. We went on a Tuesday morning at 9 am and they were surprisingly busy. We sat ourselves and found a good selection of breakfast favorites. I had the country ham platter with 2 eggs over medium, grits and toast. Everything was cooked perfectly and prices were decent. Coffee tasted fresh and was refilled by server consistently. My husband had the sausage and cheese omelet, French toast, and biscuits and gravy. The French toast was tasty and made with Texas toast bread. My only advice is that it could have used some more cinnamon and I would have added power sugar to make it 5 star quality. The gravy was also pretty good once you added some black pepper. I like my milk gravy with a bolder flavor and would suggest adding some ground sage and nutmeg in with a little more black pepper to give it a richer flavor. Right now, what we had was borderline bland. The biscuits tasted homemade and were delicious! Grits were yummy. The omelet was stuffed with sausage and cheese and my husband loved it. I thought the egg on the omelet should have been cooked a hair longer. There were places that looked a little runny to me. All in all, we had a great dining experience and will be back!

Tried to eat here but no one would serve us. We were the only blacks there and could tell we were not welcomed.... Sad day......it is 2012 not 1960 but you would not have known that in this place.

The breakfast is great! The service needs some work, no sounthern charm in their staff, they all seemed like they didn't want to be there. But other than that I would recommend going here.
