Ambience. C Service. A Food. B- Price. A You walk in and you smell the woks cooking and stir frying deliciousness. Hope it's been a while. Hope it tastes as good as it smells. After I left picking up my order I noticed I smelled like an oil vat. They need better ventilation. Cashier was very friendly but wasn't sure about the use of fish sauce in the pad Thai. I asked for extra on the side as most Americanized placed just never seem to have enough emame. Ordered pad Thai and the mango chicken to go. Not a fan of the sweet pad Thai or thin rice noodles they use. Sweet snd dry. The spicy mango chicken is okay. Nice and spicy. And good flavor. The spring rolls were ample size and just okay. Prices are very affordable and there's a combo duo for $15 to include 2 entrees with either spring roll or soup. Not my favorite dishes today.

This restaurant claims to be inspired by the outdoor street food found in the cities of Asia. That might have been the inspiration but the food is nothing like the experience. The freshness, color, aromas, flavors and low price were pretty much absent. I went to Tin Drum for the 1st time this afternoon and ordered the "Sing Chow", hoping to get something similar to Singaporean curried fried vermicelli. When it came, I knew right away what this was all about; someone in the back kitchen following a recipe rather than someone who knew how to balance flavor, texture and temperature. Most street food vendors in Southeast Asia can do this well, but then again, this is Augusta Georgia and most local patrons will not have been to Asia to know the difference. My vermicelli noodles were over flavored, with too much cheap yellow curry powder matted into the noodles. The pieces of chicken were saturated with the same curry sauce making no distinction in taste from the other ingredients in the dish. Color came in the form of 2 small sprigs of green onion, and the top thin slice of a jalapeño complete with the stem button. I took two bites to taste and just had to shove it away. If I'm going to drop over 10 bucks for a small bowl of fried noodles and a soft drink, then I expect something much better. Augusta needs a good basic and authentic Vietnamese Pho and Bahn Mi restaurant run by people who know how to prepare dishes properly. For now, we've got to go out to Columbia county or Atlanta.

I ordered the "pho" and it was disgusting. They didn't use the right type of noodles or broth.

One word pitiful. Should have checked the bag. Got a large soup. .not a quarter full. Less food same price . didn't know the tika was fried chicken. That was an unpleasant first. yeah tastes ok but not 20 bucks worth. Check out my soup pic to check out why. ..update when I called they admitted they made a mistake and have remade the order at no cost

It's like taking a trip to the streets of thailand. I really enjoyed my food. The drinks are sublime. Once you check out get a white chocolate coverd foutrune cookie.

If you're feeling exotic and indecisive the Tin Drum will offer a variety of Asian flavors at a low price. You can find anything from street noodles to curry bowls for around $8 a piece. I recommend finding their weekday deals for extra savings. - Variety of Asian food - Reasonable pricing - Friendly staff - Crazy parking - Longer night hours - Fantastic deals - Check out the pics I started out with the Thai Chicken Taco ($3) that has a chili Hoisin sauce. The taco held together very well and was so packed that every bite was dropping food onto the plate. A light eater could get full from two tacos. I moved on to the Tin Drum Curry ($7.95) which is trumpeted as a cult favorite, hence the brand name. You wouldn't put your name on it unless it was good, right? This dish not only looks amazing but comes with a creamy chili-garlic coconut curry over crispy tempura chicken and fresh baby spinach, sprinkled with roasted almonds. The curry sauce is packed with flavor and the spinach adds good texture. The thickness of the curry held the rice together making the dish easier to eat with chop stix. I finished by destroying my wife's Kung Pao Stir Fry ($7.75) which ended up being my least favorite. The dish came with chili soy sauce, bell peppers, onions, crushed chili, crushed peanut, and sautéed chicken on a bed of steamed white rice. The dish had good texture with green bell peppers for a crunch but I had to use spoon to finish rice because of soy sauce. I tossed everything back with some Organic Mango juice that was by the register. It was well worth the $3. I know a lot of people that call this their favorite spot and I know that I'll be coming back for more.

Great place for a quick lunch date. The food was very tasty. Loved the service and the cleanliness of the restaurant.

Bottom line, it's the best Asian food you will find in the CSRA. Good asian street noodles, and the shrimp taco's make a great addition to any meal.

Love this place! Get the tacos, they're all good. Also the General Tso's dish is great. there's plenty of seating, and you can order by phone or online as well. Servers are very friendly and courteous.

Tried Tin Drum for the first time after seeing it had vegetarian options. Yayyyy. I ordered the Pad Thai with tofu. There was quite a kerfuffle when trying to get it without eggs. Could it be done?! I finally had one employee tell me he *could* make it without eggs, but that it would be really gross. That was a little awkward. Thankfully he was wrong and it was delicious all the same. The portion was huge! Definitely enough for lunch leftovers the next day.

You know a place by its soy sauce. No cheap stuff here. Tasty, fast food, many healthy options. You order and either take out or sit down to eat. They deliver the food to your table. Small eating area but cute and clean. Staff friendly and helpful.

I know this isn't saying much, but this was the best asian food my family has eaten in Augusta since we have moved here this past summer. We used a coupon so we got one entree free so we were pleased with both the price and the quality. If we had paid full price we might not have been as happy. The Tin Drum Curry was absolutely delicious, and we will order it again next time we visit. The other courses we ordered were not as tasty but still good for the price... The servers were nice and the place was relatively clean. It has a small but cozy looking seating area, able to seat about 20 to 25 people. On a busy day, I can imagine it could get quite loud, but on the day we visited it was only half full. In Augusta, good dining choices are limited, so this one is a keeper...

Decided to hit up the Tin Drum, here we go. Food: I had Pad Thai and also the Lemongrass Green Curry. Both had great flavors, the curry had a really strong coconut flavor which was pleasant. Both dishes are HUGE, you will end up taking a good size portion home. However, I would have really liked to see ALOT more protein content (chicken) in my Pad Thai. The amount of chicken that was in the dish seemed to be buried on the bottom of the bowl which I had to go digging for, not fun. Staff/service: very friendly, polite, and professional. Also our meals came out in just a few minutes, very quick service. Facility: Hipster type of casual place, very clean, but rather small. Don't always count on being able to Dine In. Good experience, will be coming back definitely for the Coconut Water. My only suggestions would be to add more protein to the dishes and try to add more seating in the restaurant or maybe on the street.

This is the second time I've been to Tin Drum and it's been good both times. This time around, I tried the Crab 'n' Cheese Spring Roll and it was so fresh! It felt a lot healthier than your normal crab rangoons, just in a different form. The dipping sauce was perfect with it! For an entree, I ordered the sesame bowl and it was really good. It was heavy on the sauce, so if you are not a sauce person I suggest asking for light sauce. I like coming here because you can get your Asian food fix and not feel horrible afterwards. It tastes healthy. I will be returning!

I have frequented this place in the past. I went in recently and the menu has changed drastically. Several great items are no longer available, prices have increased, and the kids nights are no more. Very disappointed.

Wanted to try this place, but unfortunately their Yelp page is incorrect. They do NOT deliver. We had gone through the online menus and picked out our meals and sides and called only to find out that they do not deliver. We ended up choosing Hunan which is also local and DOES deliver. Hunan had excellent food, delivered on time with hot food.

Tin Drum was pretty good. I had a friend from Macon come up and we went there because he wanted something light. All of the salads and such... I thought he'd like it. He loved it! The food is really fresh and the staff is great!

Pretty bland. Green beans were either canned or way over cooked. Will go to Mexican place next door next time.

Our friend recommend this place and so we gave it a shot. Food taste very GOOD! We keep on coming back. Price is reasonable. Cashier/Servers are very friendly. Place is clean. I highly recommend this place!

I was looking for a vegetarian restaurant in the Augusta area. Tin Drum came up in my search. Good reviews and menu looked good so thought I would try it. Located next to Limelite Café. Tin Drum is Asian inspired street food. From Vietnamese, Indian to Thai food, there is something for everyone. What I love about this place is great for vegetarians. You can substitute chicken with Tofu (their chicken is USDA organic). They also have a gluten free section. My mother and I came here for lunch and I wanted something light and healthy. You walk up and order your meal. They give you a table number and will bring your food out to you. I got the Chop Chop Salad- With lettuce, tomato, cucumber, carrots, crispy wontons, toasted sesame seeds, sautéed chicken and sesame ginger as my dressing. I substituted the chicken for Tofu. My mom got Pad Thai Noodle with Sweet Thai citrus sauce, stir-fry rice noodle, scallions, bean sprouts, carrots, lime, crushed peanut, egg, sautéed chicken. I also got a side of chicken pot stickers (you get three). Only took less than 15 minutes to get our food. My meal was simple yet very delicious. The tofu was not greasy or mushy (cooked just right). They gave me enough dressing on the side. Chicken pot stickers not greasy either and hot. My mom's meal was good, but she was not too thrilled. She mentioned it was not authentic Asian Pad Thai. She said it was ok, but she wouldn't order it again. The staff was really friendly and patient with us since it was our first time dining in. Restaurant and Bathrooms clean. Plenty of parking in the front and the side building. I would return, because there are quite of few healthy options on the menu. You can order online and they cater. Great place!

Not bad for fast food. My salad had fresh ingredients, but was a little over priced for what it was -- we all know iceberg lettuce is fairly cheap. My husbands tacos weren't bad either, but still, nothing remarkable. If you're looking for something quick and healthy this place isn't a bad choice

You come in & order, they will bring you your food, & when you're finished, just leave it on the table & they will clean it up! I ordered the Mango Stir Fry, it was a little bit too sweet for me, but it is reasonable because it is a mango stir fry. I think it was suppose to be spicy but I didn't taste any sort of spiciness, lol! Overall, it was delicious. Also had the Crab N Cheese spring roll with duck sauce I think, it was very good!!!! Definitely recommend ordering that. My mother ordered the pho and she said that it was alright, nothing special. The meat in the soup was a little bit over cooked & burnt. If you're looking to try Asian food in multiple varieties I would eat here.

I'm not typically a fan of Thai food, but I do like Asian food in general. My husband, on the other hand, LOVES Thai food, so I agreed to trying Tin Drum since I'm always hoping to find a place that changes my mind. And Tin Drum was a pleasant surprise. I tried the Mango Stir Fry with chicken and white rice. It was delicious and the perfect size dinner portion. My husband had the chicken Pad Thai and was very impressed as well. The restaurant is fairly small and doesn't have many tables, so there can be a wait if you get there during a busy time. But since you order at the counter, it's easy just to get food to go if you don't want to wait.

I don't know how I spent so much time living in Augusta and did not go here. I heard of it, friends mentioned it, but I just never gave it a second thought. This place is fantastic. It's a bit more of a fast-food place than a restaurant, and there is not a great ambiance/atmosphere if you wanted to say, take a date out or something, but the food more than makes up for it. The staff are friendly, the service is quick and has always been to my specifications. They do a great job. The prices are very reasonable. There is a nice variety of protein and veggies and noodles etc. And lastly, the food. Oh the food! It's great! I get the Pad Woon Sen, and it's awesome. It's tasty, has nice texture, and is never super oily or heavy. It's really quite a good experience, I am going to make this one of my regular spots to grab a bite. Much healthier than a fast food place, and about the same price. Check it out!

Everything was really good. We got pad chicken Thai and chicken curry. I loved the curry it was REALLY good. The pad Thai was good but I wanted more curry instead lol. Wat surprised that they only give3 dumplings in the dumpling app. it doesn't say how many and I would have liked/ expected more then 3. I also orders Thai Tea which I love and it did not disappoint.

We ordered kickin' kimchi but the eggs were really runny and not fried like the picture depicts. It was like they cracked the eggs and put it on the plate without cooking them. I could have done that myself at home and got sick from it if I wanted. Then one of our entrees had a bug crawling in the food. Yup! Disgusting!!! We told them about both these scenarios and the staff said they don't make accommodations but they will do it for us anyways. They were nice about so they get two stars for that. Quite honestly, you go for the food as well as service. For us, the food was a major deal breaker. I won't recommend this restaurant to even my enemies but if you want to try and hit yourself in the foot with a shovel, be my guest :-) Good luck!

This is a great place to get food to-go. My experience has always been pleasant. This is an easy breezy type of restaurant. The menu choices outline everything included in the dish. I like that because I hate surprises in the form of onions. Lol! Each dish Tin Drum Asiacafe offers is large. I typically order something and eat the rest the next day. You can also share with someone. I usually order the Pad Woon Sen Noodle. This dish is rice noodles, carrots, egg, chicken, cabbage, bean spouts and onions. I know what I said earlier about onions. I ordered this because I knew they were there and I wasn't surprised. Additionally, the cashier told me that they were minimal and I wouldn't even taste them and I didn't. The Pad Woon Sen Noodle was great. The dining area is quaint. It's not a place I'd like to sit and have a meal. It's a little too blah for my taste. The location is across from the Movie theatre, which makes it a popular choice for dining. Also, other great dessert places surround it and that makes it attractive to me. I think they have open wi-fi for guests. The parking is not ideal. There are only a few slots for the store. If it is busy I'm not sure where you park. Overall, I love this place. I usually order my food to-go and it never takes them long to prepare.

One of our favorite " snatch and grab" Asian fast food locations. Indoor seating is small and not what I'd describe as banquet friendly. It reminds me of eating in a subway station - without the train! We usually order the Pad Thai. Know it's usually under spiced so if you like spice - tell them to add spice. You may want more than normal as it seems they're cautious adding the spice. One pad order is enough for two people for less than $10. For those interested in nutrition items it's not on website or store but the Pad Thai can be loaded with NaCl. Looking it up at Fatsecret.com pad Thai pushes 900 mg. of sodium. But we get it in a every few months and I say bring on the pad Thai whether it packs a sodium overdose or not. Fast Thai/asian cuisine on those days you wanna eat dinner at home cuddling and marathon in the latest House of Cards episode on Netflix.

I really like this place more for dinner than lunch because of the portions you get. Price wise I have seen cheaper but the portions as I said are great. The spring rolls and crab rolls are the only downfall I see because from $ 1.69 they are too small for that price.Service is fast they ask for your name when your order is taken and the menu is simple and to the point. They will have something for you there, and use the chopsticks for the fun of it.

Best Asian in Augusta. For sure. The garlic noodles with chicken (or tofu) was to die for. Very garlic heavy. The samosas are great as a small appetizer.

We decided to stop by and try this place out based on several people's recommendations. Pretty good Asian fusion food that I have tasted so far. I ordered the Teriyaki stir-fry to-go and veggie spring rolls. It only took about 10 minutes for it be ready. I felt somewhat stupid when I first entered because their menu isn't displayed above the ordering area or anywhere behind the cashier. So the cashier was polite enough to inform me that the menus were off to the right side of the wall in a small holding box, LOL. They give a good amount of food (lots of rice on the bottom) and it seemed pretty inexpensive. It's about $7 for the bowls from what I can remember. They are located right across the street from the movie theatre in a tiny strip mall. Parking might be a bit of a hassle because it can get a little busy here. I'll be definitely coming back to try out their other items.

This is a great quick-service Asian restaurant. I really like the feel of the restaurant, it's upbeat, fresh, and new which is hard to guess from the outside and their sign. The service was great, fast and friendly and the food was pretty good too. It was fresh and bright but lacked a flavor profile. There was a good amount of heat in the food but other than that it was pretty bland. Overall we were very happy with our experience and will be back. It's probably one of the best in the area.

Reading the few reviews of folks who have "given tin drum three chances" or "two chances" and so on begs the question: if you didn't have a great experience, why the heck would you go back? If it didn't appease your East Asian fix the first time, chances are you'll continue to be disappointed. Anyways, I love this place. It is fast, food is good, and people are friendly. Tin Drum curry is my favorite thing on the menu. I always add mixed veggies and get it spicy. It's delicious and filling. For around $10 I don't think you can get much better. I did find a hair in my food once, but they remade my dish and quickly and totally redeemed themselves.

This place is really awesome; I love that you can get brown rice, their portions are huge, and I've liked most everything I've tried there. My favorite has been the Panang curry. The seating area is absolutely tiny, which can be a little annoying when they're super busy, but for the most part it looks like people carry out rather than dine in. The only thing I would recommend is go for the fried spring rolls over the fresh ones; I usually like fresh spring rolls, but theirs are kind of bland and dry. Not terrible, just disappointing compared to the main dishes.

Pretty good food. Atmosphere is nice with a full accent wall upon entering the restaurant. Came for lunch and I got the panang curry and the hubby got tikka masala. The panang curry was really good. Not as spicy as I prefer but that's what siracha is for. I will definitely order this again but with no bell pepper and tomatoes. And hopefully they can add a little more spice. Hubby enjoyed his food as well. We both had to take half of our food home since the portions are generous. They provide military discounts. Nice front of the house workers.

This place is a cute but small cafe tucked away by Regal in RCD shopping center. The menu was full of variety and the prices weren't bad, especially given the size of the dishes. I have to say though, my pad thai was below par. Maybe i'm just picky, but it was far more citrus-ey than I care for (and I love plenty of fresh lime juice with my pad thai!) and far less peanut-ey than I would like. Also a little over run with bean sprouts and pouring out of the bowl.... The pot stickers weren't bad, the thai iced tea was nice and tasty (and you get a free refill, woo!), and my friend said her terriyaki chicken was very very good. The servers were really nice and friendly and the food came fast. All in all, I wouldn't get the pad thai again, but i'd love to go back and try some of their other food! Cute cafe for the Augusta area!

Hubby and I decided to try Tin Drum today since we bought an Augusta Daily Deal. We were really skeptical of this place and was not expecting great food. The restaurant is very small so be prepared to not have a seat when you get there. Now on to the food. We ordered the Japanese Curry Katsu and the Pad Thai. We were very impressed with the food. The curry was really good but not as spicy as I hoped. The Pad Thai was equally well done. The staff working there were really friendly. The price was reasonable and the portions HUGE! We could only eat half of the food and brought the other half home. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Very good....

I gave this place three chances to impress me and change my mind but they didn't. I had the noodles. They were way too sticky and hardly any sauce. The rice was not flavorful. The best thing was their samosas and they dont carry them anymore. In another ocassion i had one of their chicken dishes and the chicken was not even fresh chicken, it was frozen chicken and tasted like it was microwaved and the and the sauce poured over. Its not what people make it out to be.

I came across tin drum quite by accident, they are located across from the Cinema. I decided to give them a try when I had a coupon for them. Yes the place is a little small, yes they could use smaller tables to utilize the space better, but the food? The food is amazing. About $7.50 or a bowl that can easily feed two. I've had the crab and cheese roll, good when its fresh and hot, a little greasy if you reheat. I've had the Japanese Katsu (take out), the chicken breast was fried and didn't do too great reheated (but the flavor was awesome. Their potstickers are pretty good on the average. My go-to items with them are the Tin Drum which is a creamy coconut curry with chicken and fresh spinach...i'm addicted to that sauce..(I would like to see them add a couple more pieces of chicken than they do).and the Panko crispy shrimp taco with cucumber wasabi sauce...it's a smack in the face...its so good I just want to go around the counter and hug the cook. :) All in all, I love this place, there's not many places I just think of out of the blue and find myself really wanting the food.

Thank you for coming and saving Augusta from terrible cuisine. I'm from a big city and used to a lot of options, especially in terms of cuisine variety. Tin Drum's dishes are far larger than what you pay for, far better tasting that expected and the service is above and beyond. For a small location in a great area, they far outrank the other eating options. I've been tasting the local Thai, Chinese, Japanese and Vietnamese restaurants in the area and like most food in Augusta- it is geared towards - well - Augustans. They don't *do* different food well. In any case, best curry, best pad thai and best overall eating experience I have ever seen. Plus- they deliver via the 706 food website. Every time I go I am treated amazingly well. I have eaten in, had a birthday part with a large group (on short notice, I might add- way to go pulling that one together TD!) taken food to go and ordered by phone. My order is always above and beyond what I expect. They are even incredibly sweet and gracious to my 6 month old daughter. Take that Augusta - Tin Drum set the bar high, now will everyone else please move up?

I've been going here about once a week since they've opened up. I usually order from the kiosk station because the customization that you can do to your food is really great. If you have a certain diet type then it comes in really handy. I think all places should have one. I've tried the Tin Drum meal which was really good. I also enjoy their Katsu a lot. They recently added pho to the menu, but they're still working on getting the recipe right (mine was a little too oily). The manager is great. If you have any complaints, then he'll try to fix your order. The staff is really friendly too. I suppose my only complaint is that it's a little pricey for what you get, and that the drink selection is fairly limited. But otherwise, it's a nice place to stop for lunch or dinner.

If you like carbs, this is the place. Dishes were very heavy on the rice or noodle, skimpy on the meat and veggies. I wouldn't normally eat there, but the rest of the family loves it. Way too expensive for a bowl of mostly rice or pasta. I'm sure they're making a good profit. The carb rolls are good, but again, very little if any meat in them, mostly cheese, and very small.

I'm really not sure how this place averages 4 stars. Very sub par Asian food. I've tried it twice and both times the dishes tasted very generic and lacked flavor.

Tin Drum is an average place in my opinion. They have a little bit of Thai, Viet, Chinese dishes here and there, but there all average. If you want a good bowl of pho go to Pho Bac. If you want a good pad thai go to to Mai Thai. Tin Drum isn't bad but it isn't the best either it's just simply good.

ive been here about six times and every time i find something different i like. but my absolute must have favorite is the Thai Iced Tea...i have no idea how they make it but its soooooooooo sooo soooo delish...also the Pho is great, the cheese and crab roll is delish and honestly you cant go wrong with anything on the menu...PLUS they deliver, which around here is hard to find without a ridiculous delivery fee...check them out...theyre awesome

So glad that Augusta finally has a Tin Drum! And it's so conveniently located in Augusta Exchange. I've been a long time fan of Tin Drum, as they have a location at Georgia Tech (my alma mater) and numerous locations around the Atlanta area. My favorites over the years: Spicy basil fried rice, panag curry with chicken, and the veggie spring rolls! My friends also love the "Tin Drum curry" which I have yet to try. The entree portions are generous and always end up turning into two meals for me. I also noticed that they now have street tacos on their menu.. I'm going to try them next!

I ate dinner here a while back and it was decent. I remember thinking I'd try it again. Then I had a Dr.s office request it for a lunch I was doing. I found the catering menu online, and placed an order. There is a catering menu online, but there are no prices listed. This drives me crazy. When I'm trying to plan a lunch I'm usually trying to stay on a budget. There are a lot of places that are guilty of this no price phenomenon. However you can place an order online. So I placed an online order and it it took over 24 hours for the store to reach out and contact me to let me know that they had received my order. In my eyes they should have confirmed the order, told me a price or an estimated price, and let me know if they would be providing me with utensils and cups plates etc. I had to respond to the email and ask these things. I specified a pick up time and when I arrived to pick it up it was not packed and ready to go as they had promised. It was all done and it only took them about 5 to 7 minutes to load a bag of sauces, the food, utensils etc.,and help me get it to my car. When I reached out to ask if they would be providing me with the paper goods I needed I was told yes. However when I arrived at my doctors office I noticed that I had no cups. Luckily everyone seemed to enjoy the food. Each tray was said to be about 10 people. What I noticed was that the trays were mostly rice and for the astronomical price that I feel like I paid for this meal I should've gotten more meat and veggies. My order consisted of two trays, chicken tacos, spring rolls and tea. The spring rolls and tacos must've been very good because they were devoured. The sesame stirfry was also popular. The Thai basil rice did not go as quickly. In fact, most of it was left. In the end everything was fine, I just feel as though something's should have been done differently. Communication certainly could have been better. And the meal was very pricey for what I got. Thank goodness there was a yelp check in offer and I got a small discount!

Not very authentic Asian food, but they do have a bit of everything from fried rice and dumplings to pho and pad thai. My favorite is the pad thai. Once I was charged twice with an order, the server promised that he had canceled the order but it went through anyways. It eventually got sorted out with the help of my credit card company, however it would have easily slipped away had I not taken a close look with my statement.

The food is good here, but not great. I had the pad thai and my wife had the sing chow men noodle. Her dish was spicy and mine was sweet. I prefered hers. Prices are reasonable, but I wish there was a little more to choose from. It is for more vegetarian and chicken fans. Beef is an extra 1.25.

I got tikka Masada and found it to be heavy on the sauce, but the flavors fell flat. It's not an Indian food restaurant, more of a general Americanized take on Asian food, but the food didn't taste fresh regardless. Left me wondering if I could get the same thing from the freezer section of the supermarket. Presentation was lacking as well with extremely wilted cilantro dropped on top. Like many other local restaurants the food is over pruced for the quality delivered. If perhaps you are bored and alone and looking for some takeout a bit different then your standard Chinese fare this spot might satisfy. Beyond that, check your freezer.

I had the low men, awful. Not just awful though, the chicken that was used clearly frozen, the noodles stuck to my teeth and the consistency was terrible. I highly doubt that I will ever be going back. It twas disgusting and I'm pretty sure that I'm getting sick from eating it.

Me and my partner got takeout food from here. I got pad-Thai and really liked it! The atmosphere did not seem very nice, very fast-foody. But it was good food for a good price. I would definitely order from here again!

Pretty good, but not great. The masaman curry was too sweet, and the panang had a weird tanginess. The sweet and sour chicken was good.

A friend of mine swears by this place, he is always talking about how great the food is. So one afternoon we decided to catch a movie and have lunch as well. So we decided on this place since it's right across the street from the movies. This place is extremely small. I can imagine that it will be hectic in here if there was a lunch rush!!! The menu is on the right wall but they do have paper menus on the counter. I was kind of familiar with the menu because I had goggled their menu and tried decide what I would actually like and order when I did dine here. I had chose the Tikki Masala when I glanced at the menu but changed my mind and ordered the Sesame Stir Fry. This would be my first time trying Sesame chicken. I wanted to try something that wasn't out of my comfort zone. I'm kind of a picky eater so this was a great choice. It had a few basic ingredients in it. Sesame chicken, broccoli, rice, and sesame seeds were the ingredients. I actually enjoyed it but I feel the portion was kind of small. I will ask for extra meat next time to defeat my hunger. The cashier was very friendly and checked on us several times to make sure our lunch was great. The bathroom was clean and fully stocked. This dining experience set the stage for a great day. I think I'm going to bring my family here to try them out and see if they will like them as well.

Tin Drum, oh Tin Drum! I love your Pad Thai Noodles with chicken and shrimp. However, I despise your "sweet tea". Your sweet sauce makes everything THAT much better. Sometimes I feel like your service is a bit slow when you all get moderately busy. The good dishes make up for it a bit though. Your facilities are always relaxed, when there aren't that many people. If they are busy, then there will probably be no place to sit down and eat. Forcing you to either wait, or to choose "to go". So, please make some sort of formula change to how you do your tea. It seems like it could possibly be over cooked.

Tin Drum is really cute on the inside but I was expecting so much more. I wasn't expecting this sauce-laden pad thai that was way too sweet for me, even for someone that likes sweet food. Sure there was a lot of food in the bowl, but the sauce was too much. I think the food here is geared towards non-Asians. My traditional FOB parents did not really appreciate the flavors here -- too strong for their tastes. My mom got the Cantonese noodles. I actually liked the flavor more, but she said that it was rather salty. I guess next time if there is a next time I will order the other items on the menu.

The food at Tin Drum was prepared wonderfully. We've had many friends tell us how great their food was, so we finally got to try it! My husband and I tried a little bit of everything. We had the Crab n Cheese Spring Roll, Fresh Thai Basil Roll, Thai Coconut Soup, 'Panko' Crispy Shrimp Tacos, Tin Drum Curry, Sing Chow Men Noodles, and Passion Fruit Tea. It was all DELICIOUS! But the best thing of all, was the staff. They were so nice, personable, and sweet. We met Justin, the manager, and Ari, the assistant manager. We will definitely be back. Keep up the good work!

Not your typical asian place, which is just great. The food is really tasty, and not dominated by any one flavor. The food choices are very unique, which means you won't be bored with your choice. Went here with all my kids, but wished I had just gone with the wife.

I've been skeptical about the Thai food around here-- or Asian food in general, really-- so for some reason I wound up waiting for just about six months before finally getting around to trying Tin Drum, and here's a fun fact if you're into that kind of thing: it's DELICIOUS. I'm not one of those lucky (or unlucky, as the case may be) individuals with a highly refined and sophisticated palate so my opinion (and others as well, actually) ought to be taken with a grain of salt but let's be real. Delicious things are delicious, and the curried samosas that I just had were pretty much off the chain. I expended about 85% of my daily willpower to restrain myself from chowing down on them as I was driving home (which worked out well, since crashing and dying trying to eat those things would have really put a damper on the ultimate plan of eating dinner). Anyway. Point being, it's sometimes rough being a vegetarian in places like Augusta and sometimes we get angry because there are places like Atlanta two whole hours away with delicious vegetarian and vegan food available all the time and it's just not fair--! But the Tin Drum's food is delicious (I also got the Pad Thai with tofu and their Egg Drop soup) and it was ready and waiting for me when I showed up ten minutes after calling in the order. It was probably the most painless food-related transaction I've encountered recently. On a less awkwardly rambling note, the interior of the place is pretty small and some of the other reviewers were saying that it's safe to bet on not finding a spot to sit down and eat when it gets busy. But hey! Take it to go, have a picnic, bring it home with you and sit down with a movie because the food is gonna be delicious and life is wonderful.

  • Brandon T.

A little pricey for the quality and quantity, IMO. I hadn't eaten anything all day so I was kinda expecting everything to taste super good but it all seemed too salty and not that tasty. There is actually another Chinese takeout place on Washington road next to the Kroger that costs half as much and tastes better.

I went here for the first time tonight after hearing a lot of my friends rave about it. And now I know why. All 4 of us that went enjoyed out meals. I had the masaman peanut curry and it was cravable. They give big portions and the price is reasonable. About $7 for most entrees. It was a really hip thai place. I will definitely go back. Maybe even for lunch tomorrow. I can't wait. I also hear the tin drum entree is really great, with a spicy kick.

Ambience. C Service. A Food.

Check out my soup pic to check out why. ..update when I called they admitted they made a mistake and have remade the order at no cost

Tin Drum was pretty good. I had a friend from Macon come up and we went there because he wanted something light. All of the salads and such... I thought he'd like it. He loved it! The food is really fresh and the staff is great!

Ambience. C Service. A Food.

Wanted to try this place, but unfortunately their Yelp page is incorrect. They do NOT deliver.

Me and my partner got takeout food from here. I got pad-Thai and really liked it! The atmosphere did not seem very nice, very fast-foody. But it was good food for a good price. I would definitely order from here again!
