Love coming here for a great hamburger. Very welcoming place to relax and have a great meal. You have too also try the French fries, crispy and cook just right.

I saw some of the reviews from others about slow service but like any restaurant it is a hit and miss depending on when you get there and what day. I went there on a Monday night at around 700 and I was out in about 15 minutes. I had to admit I thought it was closed as there was only one car in the parking lot. Once I went in the people working looked as if they were just waiting for someone to come in and place an order. This was great as my food came out hot and quick. Now on to the food. I went with a hot dog and bacon cheeseburger. OK I am ashamed but I also got fries and yes I know it is plenty of food but it was all I ate that day. I am trying to justify all my food choices to make myself feel better. The burger was plentiful and I will say it was made the old school way of using the hand to pat the meat into patties. The vegetables on the burger were fresh and it is a rarity that I eat tomatoes because they always make burgers watery but not in this case. I added bacon and also and it was flavorful and not that crunchy bacon that crumbles as you bite into it. It had a bit of chew but not so much that you had to pull your head away and the burger away to get the bacon to separate. The hot dog was ok but nowhere as tasteful as the burger. The price was very reasonable and I feel with the taste, portion, and real food preparation vice some frozen processed items it was a deal. Last but not least I wish I could remember her name but it is great when the person taking my order asked if any of their discounts could be applied with my order as she went through the list. A nice touch that is so easy to do but so rarely done these days. If you want some old school burgers take yourself to Gary's. Looking to try the other Gary's on Wheeler or try their breakfast one morning.

Gary's has delicious food that brings us back time after time. Fresh made hamburgers hit the spot, and now take the place of past previous hamburger joints that we used to visit (such as 5 guys). The reason I rated a 3 instead of a 4-5 on the food quality is because Gary's has some of the worst service. We're patient, so they still get our service, but the employees are often frazzled, distraught, and disinterested. You will need to carve out some time to eat here. This current visit we came in, and we're the only ones in line (on the inside) to order. It took them upwards of 10 minutes for them to take our order. The food also takes a while to come out (even if there is no one else in the restaurant), which I don't mind since the food is great. Our last visit the waitress delivered the wrong food to our table. The only way to know it wasn't our order was to unwrap the burgers. The rest of the staff made is abundantly clear that they were upset that we had opened the food, and that they had to remake 2 orders. Also if you pay for extra sauce (like blue cheese), they WILL forget, and try to charge you again when you ask for it once it hasn't arrived with your meal (this has happened multiple times). The price is a bit much for the service you receive. If you want refills you will need to go up to the counter ask and wait. Also, cheese sticks are not served with marinara sauce.

Gary's Hamburgers makes some great burgers, but I really like the Chilli Slaw Dogs, and Catfish. Food always takes fresh, and although they try to get the food out fast, please be a little patient. They do cook to order and it isn't just thrown together. The prices are a bit higher than other places but I think it boils down to "You get what you pay for", and the quality with this food is top notch. Minus: The drinks are small and always filled to the brim with ice so there isn't much soda in them.

The burgers here are amazing!! They are juicy & cooked extremely well. If I ever crave homemade burgers I come here. The breakfast here is alright. The staff here gives you great service as well!
