I recently went to Captain's D's and I am happy that I did. My experience in the past was not great. Things are different now. The food was flavorful and plentiful. I ordered catfish and the filets were big and cooked perfectly. The wait time for food is a little longer than what you would expect for fastfood. The trade-off is that the staff brings your order to your table if you dine in. The dining room is bright, clean and modern. I will no longer avoid Captain D's, am planning on becoming a fan.

Absolutely terrible customer service. My family and I usually come here from time to time because it is usually good food and good service, but tonight my family and I came in cold from the lake and one online coupon to get the 10 piece fish meal for $14 rather than $20 (honestly, who wants to spend that much for this place). They told us that because it was on the phone that they wouldn't accept the coupon, however if we were to print that exact coupon out and come back that they would use it then and would not make any excaptions. How crappy is that? The coupon had a scan bar on the online version and the printable, so why can't you scan the online coupon like any other place does? Absolutely terrible. We will be calling and complaining about the rude gesture and not be coming back, the food isn't that draw droppingly great anyways.

Cheap seafood. Good alternative to long johns... Wasn't delicious but wasn't bad either. The clam strips were actually pretty good. I would go back if I wanted a quick meal. I would not go out my way to eat her though.

Extra greasy cheap. Food and place. You can't have high expectations on fish and chips from D's, but this time was bad. Everything was way too greasy. Fish, shrimp, hush puppies. Except for the fries, which were good, nice and crispy. Service was good.

Well, the hushpuppies were good and the woman at the counter was not terrible....and that's about the only bright spots this place has to offer. Everything was super oily, even more so than normal Fish N Chips places. My husband and I ordered the Fish N Chips plate and it was disgusting. While not the worst Fish N Chips we have ordered you expect better from a place that specializes in fried fish.. I also don't think the food was stored at the proper temperature as the food felt cold to the touch when we ordered. Even with a coupon, I would look elsewhere for Fish N Chips.

I saw this place while walking down the street and decided to step in for lunch. I ordered the fish and shrimp feast, fried green tomatos on the side and a large sweet tea. I received a large amount of food for under $15. The shrimp were crisp and flavorful. The fish fillets were large and mouth watering. The platter came with crab cakes and hush puppies. The crab cakes were out of this world. They made the crab cake and stuffed it back into the shell of the dungeness crab. The fried green tomatos were okay, it was my first time trying it. I also loved the sweet tea, but that might be because it was 100 degrees outside.
