I think that food delivery is one of the great things in life. The ability to call someone and have them bring tasty morsels at your bidding - Fantastic. The sad thing is that these couriers usually bring bland pablum that disappoints -serving the need for calories, but not much else. However, I have found a Chinese restaurant that delivers to the O4W that is decent. It has said, "Yes, I will stand among the crowd of Chinese delivery places, but I will do so on my tip toes!" Chicken Egg Roll - it's fine, it's an egg roll Buffalo Crazy Wings - the wings are big, but the sauce is a little lacking and honestly, not really a buffalo sauce. they might have brought me the wrong sauce, but I'm not planning on getting these again. Hot & Sour Soup - Hot and sour that is actually... hot and sour. Surprising anywhere, but especially from a delivery place. Lots of veggies, what not and red pepper (alas no black, though). Curry Chicken - I'm not the biggest yellow curry fan and this did not change my mind. It's better than most yellow curry that is delivered and I think there was a hint of ginger. Fine, but whatever. Red Curry - much better than the yellow curry and I would say it is the best curry I've had delivered. Keep in mind that in itself is not saying much, but it's good. This is definitely on my regular rotation. Spicy Chicken w. garlic Sauce - good. A decent dish. All of the ingredients are fresh. Kung Pao Chicken - also a very good dish except the veggies are cut small - I suppose that is the style for the dish, but I like big veggies -especially when employing chop sticks. The chicken also seemed to be small. Spicy Chicken with Garlic Sauce - There is a little sweet in there which I initially caused me some concern, but it turned out fine. Lots of veggies, good spice, good cuts of chicken... nice. Chicken Lo Mein - fine, but unremarkable. Brown Rice - what can you say about brown rice? I suppose it is as good as brown rice can reasonably be.

Cheap and cheerful! The food is fresh and made to order. I walk down here when I work from our downtown office on occasion and haven't been disappointed. It's not gourmet and it's very standard in terms of their menu but it's good. I think the chicken fried rice is good though-it may be pale but that's because there aren't ten gallons of soy sauce in it. It's still appropriately salty though and has a good flavor. The veggie options are good too. You can also just tell them what you want and they will make it which is great!

Good stuff! I have had better, but so far this is the best chinese food I have found that will deliver in the Inman Park / Little Five Points area. There is a $10 minimum order, so if you are ordering for just one person a meal can get a little expensive. They somehow manage to get you to pay about $15 + tip everytime. Delivery time is reasonable. If anyone else knows of any other good Chinese delivery in my area, please let me know.

This is just your typical Chinese food. It's pretty good if you got a craving for Chinese food, and it's hard to argue with the price (especially if you're a GSU student), but it's nothing to shout to the heavens about. Their rice is a little on a dry side, so I always dip it in whatever sauce the food comes with, so it's not a big problem for me. Overall, it's an alright place. I would go back.

The food here is just okay. You can get some decent sesame seed chicken and General Tso's when you're in a pinch. They deliver and that's a good thing. I am not a fan of the dry, flavorless rice that they serve with the food. My daughter told me that they have a habit of not giving people back the full amount of change that they should get, so you have to watch them. I watch them and everybody else too. Anyway, be in a rough spot and then go here only because you have to.

Pot stickers were flavorless, house special fried rice was overcooked and lacking flavor. crab angle was so burnt it was inedible. Driver followed a car into the community gate even though I left clear instructions to NOT follow cars in and to call from the callbox to be buzzed in. Then he lied about it.

Mediocre is the best word to describe this Chinese food. Now the good was not horrible nor was it like the best Chinese food ever. Ok I ordered the veggie pot stickers -chicken egg roll , general tso chicken with fried vegetable rice and vegetable egg foo young. - Okay now let's start with the delivery - got to me in about 40 mins and had no issues - cool. Presentation of the food was awsome for takeout - food was hot and fresh. Ok now the food.... Vegetable pot stickers - tasteless lacked flavor and nasty I did not enjoy them. The chicken egg roll was good but not like the greatest but it was good. Now the general tso chicken .... It was not too tasty it had a sweeter taste than general tso Chicken and the chicken was little pieces over cooked hard and chewy. I didn't like that either. Next up the vegetable fried rice. ... Now that was good - it had pieces of mushroom and zucchini and some other veggies . Now that was tasty... And lastly the egg foo young - it was good but lacked flavor.. But since I was at home I added some season salt and soy sauce to it and it was great. . Over all the food is fresh yet lacks flavor. I will maybe order again if I'm craving mediocre Chinese delivery.

This place is VERY clean... LOL It's the 1st thing I chose to say about this location because it was the 1st thing that I said when I walked in. The cashier/cook was very helpful and friendly. I ended up stopping here while dropping my friend off at the lounge nearby (Pal's which is now a hip younger spot from the older times). I got home and endulged in some fried rice and their hot wings (I KNOW, I know hot wings at a chinese rest. but they had a great special). The food was good, IMO... I asked the lady if they delivered in my area, she exclaimed they only go out in a 4 mile radius (boooooooo, I thought). But, I will definitely be stopping by again if I'm nearby...

Service was fast and the food was incredible! Me and my sister were looking for different Chinese restaurants and we stumbled upon Wok n Roll. We were so satisfied once we got our food! Also, the prices weren't bad at all! I had the honey chicken combo special and only spent $8! My sister also only spent $8. Definitely the best Chinese food I've had since I moved up here!

House Fried Rice was delicious and not overly greasy like other Chinese restaurants!! Take out was quick and prices were affordable. I would definitely order again.

We have ordered from here several times in the past and have not been disappointed until tonight. Positives first- usually on time, portions are decent size, price is good, staff are pleasant. This time we ordered our usual order of sesame chicken and general tso's chicken and a soda. Negative- they forgot the soda. No big deal. Called them back, they said they would send the delivery guy back with it in a while or give us a credit.... Opted for the credit! THEN... I removed the lid from my meal, took a bite of chicken with some rice and chewed... Into a staple! I'm sure it's a one off and things happen but I'm glad I found it before I swallowed it! Not sure if we will be ordering again at this point!

I ordered using the app and it was very simple to complete my order. My food arrived during the estimated time and the driver was really nice. I ordered a bunch of food and all of it was neatly packed, organized, and piping hot. No complaints here.

So my review is solely based on delivery via grubhub.com . I have no other experiences so far. Delivery time: They estimated a time frame of about 40 mins, but they were actually quicker and delivered it closer to 30 mins. So that's a plus. FYI - My office is located right off centennial park, so for those who are logistically sound minded can figure out travel distance. My food order consisted of the Dinner Combo, which included the following: Mongolian Beef Dinner Combo for $8.55. Serving size is is a small "Chinese Food box" for the fried rice and a bigger than average serving of Mongolian beef. Fried rice - Pretty good quality, taste and texture.Cooked pretty well, no grains overcooked or under cooked. Not overly seasoned or salty from soy sauce. Contains bits & pieces of real fried egg. Mongolian Beef - Also cooked pretty well. It's not the best version I ever had, but it's on par with better then average. The sauce is good, not overly sweet. And a good percentage of pieces of beef. There were a couple pieces that were a bit on the chewy side, while most were pretty tender. Their version includes a small mix of noodles. Order it if you're craving for some. Bottom line - Decent, non-expensive Chinese food for delivery when it's crappy outside to go pick it up yourself.

After searching restaurants near GSU on campusfoods.com , we decided on Wok N' Roll due to the close location to the University Commons. After a ten minute walk from the dorms we arrived at a small corner restaurant. There were two small tables that made it obvious the place was meant for takeout/delivery. We were greeted by a friendly cashier who informed us of the special student menu. All items were priced at 4.95 which included an entree, choice of rice, and an option to buy an eggroll for 1.00. We decided on ordering the General Tso's Chicken and Chicken Fried Rice along with two eggrolls off the student menu. The order was made fast and we walked back to the dorm to feast. Upon opening the two boxes, the Chicken Fried Rice looked oddly pale with gummy looking chicken slivers. The ingredients looked to consist of cut up chives, peas, onions, unflavored rice, and of course the scary chicken. The taste was no surprise. The rice was very bland and the chicken seemed to have been added as an afterthought cooked plainly with no seasoning. The General Tso's chicken was just okay and semi-crisp but was falsely advertised as being spicy. The white rice was just as good as white rice could get. The vegetable spring rolls were satisfactory. The portions were pretty good considering the cheap price. Wok n' Roll is good for cheap, close Chinese food, but go here as a last resort.

Wok N' Roll -- Rocks and Rolls. I was there last night. I was the last customer of the night, 10:45pm. Starvin' like Marvin, I ventured downtown after work for some nourishment Although Auburn Avenue is "a No Man's Land" after sunset, I ventured downtown after work. Even at 10:45p on a Sunday night, parking was an issue...very few parking spaces or parking where one's safety might be compromised. There is a parking lot directly across the street from the establishment with available parking spaces but there was a congregation of folks (about 15) at one end -- and they were not having Church. It seems that folks in the parking lot have made the area their Hang Out Joint. So I parked a few blocks away. Safety first, Good People! There were many people walking around, neighbor folks, folks leaving other restaurants, folks asking for chewing gum (that's a new one, not asking for money). The restaurant is located in a non-descript building that houses many Bond Bails and Parole Offices. Don't ask how a Brother knows this, he just knows. LOL,talk amongst yourselves. The restaurant is located on the corner and it to is non-descript. No major décor or theme. I ordered my food - Shrimp w/ mixed Chinese Vegetables, Brown Rice, Hot and Sour Soup, Spring Rolls. The person taking the orders was a bit difficult to understand. She attempted to inform me there was no Hot and Sour Soup. I didn't comprehend "what the Sam Hill" she was saying. I made her repeat it at least 5 times before I got it. She and the woman preparing the food seemed to have a heated conversation about the soup. Anyway, I received my food after about 10mins. The food was delicious. The shrimp was cooked to pink perfection. The brown rice was perfect. The vegetables were crisp and not overcooked. The brown sauce spicy and just enough to cover the shrimp and vegetables. The wonton soup was delicious. I hate when the noodles taste as if they were in the broth all day. The vegetable springs rolls were average, nothing spectacular. All in all, a good place for a night late take-out meal in ATL. I will be back...again and again.

I had pretty low standards for this place based on some of the reviews below so I was pleasantly surprised when I got my order. Please don't confuse Wok N' Roll for gourmet or authentic Chinese. This place is Americanized Chinese takeout to a T. Food was average and satisfied my Chinese takeout cravings. I ordered through yelp and got my food about 30 minutes later (compared to EAT24's 45 minute estimate). Order was accurate and the delivery person was very friendly Ordered egg drop and hot and sour soup, general Tso's chicken, ma po tofu, fried dumplings, and crab rangoons. Everything tasted exactly like I expected (no better, no worse). The soup and egg rolls were great. The crab rangoons and dumplings were fried a little too long - they were kind of dried out but did have good flavor. The chicken wasn't crispy or particularly juicy, but tasted good. The sauce they use on the ma po tofu was excellent (a little sweet and a LOT spicy)! Overall I recommend to anyone that's near this business and can order delivery. This place will satisfy your late night or weekend Chinese food cravings with reasonable prices and a quick arrival time. If you're feeling fancy or in need of something authentic, you're better off going elsewhere.

I was craving some flavorful Chinese food and saw the good reviews here and decided to order. I was extremely disappointed, I'm really not a picky person and I was just hungry. The egg rolls were flavorless and mushy inside, the pad Thai had no flavor, it didn't resemble any other pad Thai I've had, no egg either. Th fried rice was okay once I mixed in my own sauces from home. I don't want to be harsh, but I feel like this food was a waste of my money. Maybe they were just having a bad day because I see others are satisfied, but I won't be ordering from here again.

Delivery was timely and food was hot and portions plentiful for the price. Nothing to write home about but in the sea of so-so delivery joints this one is at least a keeper. If you've tried a few places without a winner give these guys a shot.

This is my favorite cheap Chinese food in the Atlanta area. They have all the best of my favorites, from their teryaki chicken on stick to their crab rangoons. Their wonton soup is the best Atlanta has offered me so far and their fried chicken wings are delicious. "10 minutes" is the standard time that food will be done, but in reality it's 15-20. PROTIP (For all you spicy food lovers!): Cheap/take-out Chinese food is made to be palatable to even the most whingy people. I've worked in Chinese restaurants for years and most people that SAY they want the spicy dish, but can't actually handle it being so. If you actually want your general tso's "spicy" food to be spicy, challenge them! Even if you have never been there before, say something along the lines of "Last time it wasn't hot enough, can you make it hotter?" Works every time. No matter what takeout restaurant.

Food was really good especially for price, two dinner portions of general tso's chicken and a 2 liter for $21 and that was for delivery. Was here in 45 min. Good customer service

Not a fan...we were staying at Days Inn and wanted some food delivered so we decided to try this place. We each got a dinner combo, which comes with rice and a chicken roll. I got General Tso's Chicken with brown rice and he got Honey Sesame Chicken with fried rice, and also got some wings. They were nice and put in a bunch of sauces, napkins, forks, etc. I didn't really like the chicken and the fried rice did not look like fried rice at all..there was barely anything in it! We couldn't even tell the difference between the fried rice and brown rice at first. The wings were pretty good, but they were tiny. Probably won't be ordering from here again.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
