"This aggression will not stand, man!" Alright people, I can't sit here and watch people who have absolutely NO idea what their talking about bad mouth this shine of the sub! What you have to understand about Patty's Subs is that they aren't the "gourmet" subs. It's not Star Provisions, or even a Quiznos/Firehouse/Schlotzkys type of a place. This is THE place to go when you just want a basic sub, where they slice the meat to order (I really think this is what separates them from the pack), have fresh and simple bread, and want just the basics on your sandwich. Please understand, this characterization is NOT a back-handed compliment. When you want a basic sub sandwich, there IS NO better place in Atlanta. This sandwich is what the major chains promise you, but never deliver on. This is the sandwich that nearly caused physical harm to come to my friend for joking that he ate my leftovers. Yes people it is THAT good! In closing, with all due respect to my fellow yelpers, y'all are just flat wrong. Seriously, if you appreciate this place for what it is, it can't get any better. (Plus, the gentleman who usually works the counter might be the nicest human being alive)

Not a bad sub. I had the turkey, ham and rb on wheat that was very good. The place was like a step back in time. Doesn't look like anything has been updated since the 70's. We enjoyed it and will certainly be back.

Pretty average sandwich in a building that is literallt falling down. It's been here for years though, and has its following. i wouldn't drive out of my way to go here.

I have lived in the Westside of Atlanta for 2 1/2 years and have loved deli sandwiches my whole life. While the decor may be a few decades old, I think that adds to the experience and sort of provides a small-town feel. Patrick's has great subs and the prices are better than any of the respectable sub chain restaurants. They slice the meat fresh for every sandwich. The owners are always there and are very friendly and personable. You can go to the chain places but you will miss out on a good subs at good prices, and an overall good experience.

This place has been around since 1973, and the decor hasn't been touched in the 34 years since. I'll never dock a restaurant for not looking cool though. I will however dock it because the sandwiches here are really nothing to write home about. I think Patrick's caters more to the workers at the nearby industrial areas, so its cheap food with the quality to match. I probably won't return, considering I have numerous better options in close proximity.

Patrick's reminds me of every good sub shop and deli I ever ate at in the 70's...no excuses need to be made for the decor...it's a throwback to when subs weren't run by mass corporations who make the shop pretty and skimp on sandwich makings. I love the bologna sandwich! The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars is employee or maybe training related...a couple of times the bread's been a little dry from being left open..and there are occasionally definite differences in the quality of the sandwich. It should always be the same. Other than that, I'm all about the Patrick's.

Finally decided to try Patrick's after driving past every single day. Inside is definitely looks like 1973. A cluttered, run down 1973. But the people are friendly and the prices are fair. You just have to kind of overlook the atmosphere. I tried the wings and fries. The mild wings were really good, despite some of wings looks a little weird. I mean they are clearly the misfits of the chicken wing factory. I couldn't eat here all the time because fattening, but every once in a while when I'm craving something bad, I'd stop in again.

Food is decent, nothing special. But I cannot excuse my experience from the other night. I placed an online order through Eat24 - and got the notice that it would take 45 min to an hour. I thought that was outrageous for a couple of sub sandwiches, but whatever - fine. They took forever the only other time I ordered from them, as well. OVER an hour later, still no food. I tried to call the restaurant several times - nobody answered. I looked online & google info had them listed as closed. Checked Eat24, and they weren't available to take orders any more. ... WTH? With no other option but to assume that I wasn't going to get my order, I gathered up my things & headed out to go get myself some dinner. ... While in line waiting to pick up my food elsewhere, I get a call about "I'm at your place, trying to deliver your food." ... Well, forget it at that point. I told them it was too late, I wasn't there. I'm just REALLY glad I didn't pay w/ a CC - was using cash. I will not be trying to order from them again.

Old school sub shop...food is okay customer service lowered the star rating. If a soda is flat replace it., it's not based on how it taste to you (owner) but how the I (the customer ) says it taste

I've been to Patrick's a few times and the food was what I expected from a sub shop. The service was good and the quality of the food was ok. What makes this place interesting is that it's been in the same location since 1973 and even though it's probably gone through a few transformations here and there, you get the feeling that it's going to remain a divey submarine and wings stop for many years to come. My buffalo chicken wing and fries combo had a sweetness to it that pays a little homage to the Asian family that runs Patrick's. I'm not sure if they stay open late but it's definitely an old reliable place if you are in the mood for something quick and local.

First time here and i was in a hurry so i ordered a burger...honestly....it was pretty good considering it was 7 bucks. Definitely coming back to try some other stuff on the menu

We stop by here before an event. It was mostly empty save for a patron. I ordered the philly cheesesteak but it didn't really stand out to me. It was pretty bland. The cashier wasn't really friendly and I felt like I was wasting her time. I don't think I'll be back.

Patrick's is a prefect example of, if it's not broke don't fix it. Nothing fancy here just a small family owned joint making good old school subs. The rolls are tasty and the sandwich meats are sliced to order. If you're looking for avocados and sprouts on artisan bread this isn't your place.

  • Atiyah T.

All I can see is yum, yum yum. All I ordered was a simple turkey sub with everything on it. I can't believe I pass by this sub shop for 3 years and never ate here. I swear my sub was the best sub I ever ate in my life. Just a simple sub. This sub shop has been around for more than 30 years so its old school they get tons of foot traffic during lunch. Prices are cheap.

Been open since 1973. I've been coming her since 83. Almost nothing has changed and I always stop in when I'm in the neighborhood for nostalgic reasons. I can still get patricks sauce. Sandwiches taste the same as always. Only new addition is fried rice which I won't get at a sandwich shop

I've always been curious about this place. You drive by between 11:45a - 1:00p, and the parking lot is packed. Super old skool interior! LOL, kindy trippy. Pretty basic. They have a wide variety of hot and cold sandwiches. They cut the lunch meats there, as you order. That's pretty cool. I had an Italian Sandwich, and chips, standard lunch affair. My sandwich was good, nothing special. I didn't love the hoagie roll, kind of reminded me of Subway. I wish I had more to report, but there just wasn't anything special here to me. Sandwich shop. Overall, a good, quick, inexpensive lunch. With the many options in this area, this wouldn't be my first choice, but I wouldn't go as far to say that I won't be back. Service was friendly, establishment was clean.

Food is OKAY. Just okay. Ordered online took about 3 hours to get here, when it said it would only take 1 hour. Got here, order was messed up. Manager wouldn't compensate at all. A few month later, went in store to give it another shot.... Wrong order again. Unreal.

Patrick's is deliciously gross. And I love it. Like others have noted, the building hasn't been updated or renovated since before my mom was born (sorry, mom, to insinuate that that was, like EONS ago...but, ya know...). So, for me, it's a bit difficult to eat in at Patrick's. But, we live within their delivery radius, so we order from them all the time. Their subs are simple and good. Nothing too awesome, but you will finish your meal satisfied. Among my favs are Patrick's tuna sandwich, meatball sub, Philly cheese sub and their cheese sticks (I'm a sucker for those things). Their onion rings are decent as well. What I like most about Patrick's (other than the cool name that matches that of my husband) is the variety. There is a sub for every taste, and they also have great salads, wraps, side dishes and desserts. Aside from the nasty building, the only other downside is their hours, which are a bit limited. But once you become a regular customer, you become accustomed to them. Patrick's isn't for everyone. But I enjoy it because it's good, affordable food...fast and fresh.

Since living near by I stopped into Patricks sub shop over time and I have noticed a slight improvement in the quality of the food. Once again I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here but if its convenient then its not horrible and the prices aren't horrible either. Though they could use some retraining of their staff so they can move the line along during the lunch hour. If you like Italian pasta, I highly suggest figo which is down the street towards town.

i stopped by today after having a meeting around 2pm at collier rd. and ordered the chicken wrap. I was surprised that it was amazingly good.... The chicken was not overcooked and the dijon honey mustard was not too much... it was just perfect.... I will definitely come back.... but I wish they sell combo with fries for the chicken wrap... that will be the bomb... but we have to order separately... Meg.

If you plan on eating here, try going there. Delivery service is awful and takes 1-hour+ for a sandwich to be delivered down the street. This is based on multiple experiences and my willingness to give Patricks the opportunity to redeem themselves. Nice menu selection, but sandwiches are mediocre and not worth the wait.

I've been stuck in bed with the flu for the past couple days. SaItines and Gatorade weren't cutting it anymore so I ordered a 10 of wing combo through GrubHub. First the order took an hour, I live 1.5 miles away. Okay, no biggie. I'm not doing anything but laying in bed. Next the food was cold upon arrival...great. Finally after reheating the food in the toaster oven, the fries and two flavors of wings (mild and garlic pepper) all tasted like old, burned oil. I didn't know that you could mess up wings and fries but apparently you can. Such a disappointment. I will not order from this place again. On the bright side, GrubHub gave me $10 for my food.

Why Five Stars.......Selection, portion, taste and value. I only wish I was hungry enough to have ordered the Philly Cheese and the Italian sub. The sub was more than ample and maintained a very healthy meat to cheese to lettuce ratio. Even my pet peev the stem cap of the tomato being on a sandwich was omitted. I really liked the place and will go back the next chance I get

I ordered from GrubHub and I usually have a bit of a problem with prompt delivery. Patrick's Sub Shop arrived before the estimated delivery time and the food was AMAZING and made correctly! A good sub is really hard to find and they definitely lived up to my expectations. I would definitely order from them again. No delivery minimum and a small delivery fee.

Very good Philly Cheesesteak! Cannot complain. The wheat bread hoagie was awesome and the meat was freshly sliced and cooked to perfection. The prices are also very reasonable! Cannot beat this place for homemade subs.

No place like it left anymore! The owners make everything fresh, and they have all of the typical stuff on their menu. What makes this place super special is that Joey (the owner) gets to know you quickly and gives very personal service each time you come in. When you have something you love that's a little unconventional, they are always willing to make it, and the cool thing-the thing that makes this place truly unique? Joey will remember that and have it available to you each time you come in! My mom used to make me bologna and grilled cheese sandwiches when I got sick, and now, since mom lives far away, Joey makes them for me anytime I want! They homemake the soups, deviled eggs, cookies, and desserts each day, and they are all fantastic! Truly a classic!

Got an order for delivery and was thrilled. Wings, sandwiches and onion rings, all very good and exactly as ordered. Really pleased with the wings, cooked perfectly crispy and very flavorful. I think this will be my go-to wing place.

Awesome. If you've ever been to Baldino's subs in Doraville or Marietta you'll feel right at home, it's almost the same exact place. Ancient history furnishings and decor, and probably as old as that menu with the old school letters/numbers that snap in place. This place is OLD, seriously, it feels it, it looks it, and it is, old, but that doesn't matter a bit when you go up and order. Super fresh bread, thinly sliced meat and cheese right out of the fridge, fresh toppings, this place is spot on for good food. I had a turkey sub and could have sworn I was at Baldino's, but better because it wasn't wall to wall people and no room to move. It's great food, simple. Go get one now.

I drive by their damn "Best Subs in Town" sign all the time - seriously!? No idea who's saying that, sub I had was total crap. They don't have a clue what a sub is... there was almost no meat and the bread tasted like Styrofoam. Stay away.....

Rats rats rats. Went it this place after hearing someone talk about it. When I pulled up I said to myself this place looks old.when I walked in it looked like 3 homeless people sittin in there Tryin to keep warm. I went to counter to order where I waited 4 mins before someone helped me. She walked away and said hold on. While waiting I looked on the floor behind counter and saw a medium sized rat eat food that had fallen on floor. This was NASTY. Never will I go back to this place. I turned around and walked out. I will be contacting the board of health and also BBB about the conditions in this place. Do not eat here !!!!!

Oh how I love the taste of Patrick's sub they are so mouth watering, fresh & very delicious. I always order a sub from here atleast once a week. Very friendly & deliver on time. I love how they wrap your sandwhich up neatly & make sure its secure. Their hot wings are awful just being honest. They should let American Deli keep producing the wings while Patrick fix the awesome subs!!

I like Patrick's Sub Shop. It is not a chain and the inside of the restaurant definitely has "personality". It is locally run and operated, and the staff is very nice. They have all of your standard deli sandwich choices and they slice the meat right in front of you. They also have some less healthy, more tasty options such as wings and Philly cheesesteaks. Parking is easy, although it can get pretty busy during lunchtime. The line usually moves pretty quickly, unless they happen to be understaffed (which happens occasionally).

  • KC H.

As other reviewers have noted, it's definitely an old building and has clearly seen better days - but you can order online if you find noisy air conditioners or Matlock re-runs irksome during lunch. I think it's kind of charming. Also, the service inside has always been great and delivery is fast. My partner likes the Philly Cheesesteak. I usually get an Italian. You can't go wrong really because they have an long list of meats and toppings, whatever you like. And we always get the fries. Gotta try the fries. They're amazing.

I hate when people don't put things in perspective. If you want artisan breads, alfalfa sprouts, cutesy names on the menu, and a "cool" back-story and atmosphere, go back to friggin Jimmy John's. Patrick's is completely unpretentious. What you see is what you get. The place hasn't changed "since 1973," as its sign proudly boasts, and that's what's awesome about it. This is the way a sub shop used to be and still should be--before there was a Subway on every corner. The sandwiches are simple and honest. White or wheat bread and all your classic fresh-sliced deli meats. And yes, deli meats are salty--don't eat out if you don't like salt. The service is perfectly friendly and fast. Grab a hard-boiled egg, pickle slice, and a bag of chips, slide into one of the vinyl-clad booths and enjoy. Patrick's will take you back to when sub sandwiches were merely a blue collar working man's lunch--not a "gourmet" experience that'll set you back $10 at noontime. Now that you know what to expect, check it out!

The Cheers of Sandwich Shops Moderately priced sandwiches. Pretty good too. The Place is old, but I like it. The friggin employees actually remember you when you go in, even if it's only twice a year! You can always grab a creative loafing, watch their crummy tvs, and eat good in the comfort of their(what I'm guessing are) late 70's booths. It's a staple to the area.

I love Patrick's. It is what it is but there is LOTS of it. Hot wings, salads (the tuna salad is my fav), and of course subs. I can't attest to the subs because I don't eat bread but they look good and they have all the toppings you could possibly want. They also offer fresh fruit, deviled eggs, and homemade cake. Call for delivery instead of using campusfood and you won't get the $1.75 service/delivery charges. They aren't the nicest people in the whole wide world but don't take it personally and give it a shot. I really like this place and eat here a couple times a month.

I ordered two things: a pita wrap and a Reuben sub. I get a call 60 minutes later telling me that they're out of corned beef, is pastrami okay? Fine, sure, I understand that these things happen. Another 30 minutes later, and I'm delivered a chicken burrito of some type, and a pastrami Reuben sandwich, not a sub. The Reuben was soggy and disgusting. The meat had no flavor and the sauerkraut was disgustingly bland. Not only did I not get what I ordered, when I did get it, it was horrible. Not only was it not as good as what I can make myself, it was much, much worse. One positive reviewer before me said, "What you have to understand about Patty's Subs is that they aren't the "gourmet" subs. It's not Star Provisions, or even a Quiznos/Firehouse/Schlotzkys type of a place." He was absolutely right. It's not. It's nowhere close to as good. Save yourself the trouble and go get actual food at Firehouse.
