Got a Mediterranean Pizza. Good, not superb. Worth the 8 bucks and quick and easy. Good choice for a quick meal. Interesting quick serve concept with lighter food. Good to see places moving forward with some easier fare. Met the DM. Good guy, working hard. Glad to see this place open.

I work near the Brookhaven Newk's and I absolutely love it. My coworkers and I go at least once a week. The food, service, and environment are excellent. So you can imagine how excited I was to have a Newk's open near my home in Midtown. Well that excitement was short-lived. I've been here for dinner twice now and both times were disappointing. The food is not prepared as well but it's passable. My complaint is the environment. Maybe it's better for the lunch crowd but at night it feels like an overheated basement. Too warm and oddly moist. Very uncomfortable. Just because the place is consistently dead around 7pm, that's no reason not to run the HVAC.

You can't beat Newk's half sandwich and half salad deal. My faves are the Newk's Q and the chicken salad sandwiches with a half simply salad with the honey mustard dressing. Very fast service and easy to grab during the workday lunch break! The best part is Newk's is consistently great! I've been eating at Newk's since they opened in Jackson, MS when I was in college and it is the same great menu with so many options!

Got a to go order. Half soup (lobster and crab bisque) with half sandwich (Italian). Both were very tasty. I also got the soda. This comes in a to go cup that you can keep. The soup was tasty not as creamy as I like my bisque. The sandwich was a little spicy. The waiter was really knowledgeable and very helpful. I would eat here again.

I have been to this location several times now and I have no choice but give it a 5 star. The food is always great (I recommend the loaded potato soup on the days it is available). The service is always on point and several of the employees remember you when you come in more than once.

Ordered food for my staff last week. Everything we ordered was fresh and the entire order was correct. Staff was very helpful, and we will return.

Standard lunch spot. Sandwiches/salads/soups. Good variety. I believe they have pizza as well. Good for a quick lunch. Will not blow you away.

Walked in there by chance and posted a pizza. I wound up ordering lunch for a group of friends for the next day as well. Everything was amazing. Love this place.

Some co-workers and I were looking for a place to eat when we were approached by Susie who directed us to Newk's soft opening for a free lunch. Newk's officially opens on Monday, November 11th. The prices are reasonable. They serve made from scratch soups, salads (visit the roundtable for breadsticks and toppings), pizzas, toasted sandwiches (come with your choice of cole slaw, pasta salad, fresh fruit, or a bag of chips). side dishes, and desserts. Let me start off with the food. Can you say delicious. I had the Newk's Q toasted sandwich that consists of freshly grilled chicken, applewood smoked bacon, swiss cheese, and Newk's signature white BBQ sauce. It was warm and creamy. The bread was perfectly toasted. I highly recommend this one. It costs $7.50. My co-workers ordered the roast beef sandwich, deluxe pizza and mediterranean pizza. They also enjoyed their meals. The pizzas are 10-inch, thin crust that is perfectly crispy. The staff were all polite and helpful and the managers checked on each table. The design is nice and warm. I highly recommend giving Newk's a try. I will definitely be back!

Love this place! They really care about the customer and will do anything to make sure you are happy! The food is also reasonably priced and quite good!

Awesome place. Great food. Had the broccoli and cheese soup and Italian sandwich and I was very pleased. Great service. Clean bathrooms. Perfect.

That was really good. Fresh food that someone in the kitchen obviously cares about. Cold day, awesome service, great prices. I had the combo Mac and Cheese with 1/2 Q sandwich. The Mac is served sizzling! For a quick-style eatery this is very impressive. Mommy likey presentation AND the free-flowing sriracha (Rooster sauce). The manager was super quick to honor a coupon I had in my email box that clearly stated PRINT AND PRESENT. Unrelated side note: Isn't it baffling how most restaurants too often miss that two second opportunity to smile, greet or simply thank a customer? It makes everything taste and look better. Like a chubby guy with a good sense of humor. Not sure that's a fitting analogy, but... Also, although fast-ish food, make sure you leave something for the nice staff on your table. I don't think there's a place to leave it when you order. Very large space and attracts a nice lunch crowd, but check out the beer, wine and free wi-fi later. Nice place to relax before or after your trek to the Park or in general. Wish there was outdoor seating, but 'ya can't have it all. Looking forward to more visits and trying the soups and pizzas. If you haven't joined their online club, you're really missing out. Very sweet offers.

Awesome salads and soups....the service is wonderful. The staff is attentive and the place is comfortable. I recommend the black and blue with grilled chicken and tomato basil soup.

This place is FANTASTIC! Service is always stellar, and the food is consistent. I recommend the Potato soup. I typically stick with only a few items, however whenever I try something new it never fails to impress.

It's unfortunate this place isn't packed each day. I love love love the bread here. Get the turkey sandwich. It has the perfect amount of cheese and turkey. The side fruit cup will not disappoint.

Very poor customer service. I called to order delivery at 7:52pm prior to the 8:00pm cut-off time and was told that they cannot deliver. This has occurred on multiple occasions, not just a single occasion. I will no longer be dining at or supporting this location.

Newk's.... finally an option for quick serve that isn't Panera or Fresh to Order...though I absolutely love Panera. Newk's Midtown is a nice little spot. We live in 1010 and its a really quick walk for a casual dinner or lunch. They have a pretty good menu with lots of choices. Food: I had the shrimp salad. There were a ton of shrimp and it was a huge salad. It also has had boiled eggs in it...though my eggs were frozen or thawing with ice chips attached to them. Kind of unsettling, but still a pretty good salad. My boyfriend had the roast beef sandwich and said it was awesome. They also have a giant condiment station with everything you'd need and get yourself. Its nice not to have to ask for every little thing. Ambiance: definitely casual, but that's good. Its quick service so you order at a counter, grab your own drinks and condiments and they bring your food out to you. Service: it was fine. Nothing particularly bad to point out and nothing particularly awesome to point out either. Verdict: i'll definitely be back and hopefully not have frozen hard boiled eggs!

Tonight was my first visit to Newk's. When I first saw they were putting a Newk's at the bottom of the Metropolis, I was a little disappointed. I had never heard of Newk's before so I just thought it would be mediocre sandwiches & pasta salad. Well, I was very pleasantly surprised! The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the display of (free) breadsticks and nicely displayed condiments, such as hot sauces and freshly grated Parmesan cheese. The lady working there came up to me with a big smile and asked if this was my first visit. When I said it was, she explained to me the rundown. She was very sweet and smiley and took a lot of pride in being with customers. This was a nice change since so many people act like they really could care less. The menu had more variety than I had expected - sandwiches, salads, soups, pizza and Mac and Cheese (yes, please!). All in all it was a nice little eatery and I will be back. It's so convenient, the restaurant was clean, the staff friendly & the food was good! I also like they have a little "convenient store" section where you can get pre-made food to go. Recommend it for a quick, casual bite when you don't want the usual Jimmy John's or Five Guys Burgers.

Delicious! Good food, clean place, friendly environment. Food is yummy. My friend got the ultimate salad and said it was amazing. I had simply salad and loaded potato soup. Best soup I've had. Portions are large so you get your money's worth. When you get a drink you get to keep the cup. Go here!

My main thought is that I am impressed with how immediately crowded Newk's became when it opened. I would say my favorite thing is to just get a small soup with bread, that's all I need for a good, sustaining lunch, and the soups are tasty. Service is generally on the slower side, one time I had to wait close to 15 minutes for a 3-person order. Not very acceptable when you're on your work lunch hour and already running late. Convinience supercedes this though, and I'll surely be going back soon for more soup.

I love newks but today's meal missed the mark for me. Had a meal delivered for a working lunch. I had the Greek salad with a brownie. You get a really nice portion size, so it's worth the money. I thought the salad lacked feta. There was some but could have been more. Also there were too many artichoke hearts for my likening. The brownie that came with my meal tasted old and stale, I love dessert so I was really disappointed about that. My colleagues had fresh brownies so I guess I just had a bad one. Anyway, I still like newks and recommend it.

Went to this place for a quick lunch, as my son and I had just driven through the night and were starving. We got the shrimp po boy and the spicy shrimp pizza. Both meals were fantastic and full of flavor. The shrimp was not over cooked and the pizza was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is much like a fast food restaurant, minus the fast food. That was not a deal breaker for us, but it wasn't super stellar either. The staff was kind and courteous and the restaurant was clean. This place was great for a quick foodie bite with a southern twist.

Ordered delivery last night to my stay-cation hotel night in midtown. Food arrived quickly and was good as well as affordable. Yes...affordable in midtown! Side note- apparently you cannot add a tip if you are paying by credit card so remember to have a few bucks cash.

I absolutely adore this place. Trying to eat healthy is not a problem here. I order the simply salad on most days with the wasabi vinaigrette. It is so good!!! Today I was telling the manager how much I liked the dressing and she have me enough to take home. She smiled and graciously filled my bag. I probably stop by 1-2 times a week for the salad and the lobster/crab bisque. It's yummy! I'm due to have my free lunch next time. I love newks!

If I see Ahi Tuna on the menu, chances are, I will order it. So obviously, I decided to go for the Ahi Tuna Salad. I also got the corn and crab soup. Most places either over cook their ahi tuna or give you 3 measly pieces for such a ridiculous price. Not this place! The ahi tuna was prepared perfectly. Plus there was such a large portion of tuna too. The soup was good too. The only thing is that they only serve certain soups on certain days, and I've been wanting to try some of their other ones. You just have to time it out well. Overall, I was very happy with my meal! This was a great find, thanks to a coworker of mine.

So I've only done take out here but the salads are awesome. It's a little pricey but the portions are massive so it sort of equals out. Good so far.

I think this place would a great quick lunch spot for those who work nearby. I just don't think I'd come out of my way to eat here. Parking - they do have a parking deck (same as Sweet Hut). But Newk's only does 1 hour. But at least they do validation!!! :D I feel like a lot of Atlanta restaurants are slowly catching on that people want to leave their cars in a secure area... therefore having decent parking is a must nowadays. Space - wow, there are A LOT of chairs/tables around. In fact, the place looks really clean. I was surprised. Service - the reason why I said I wouldn't mind coming here during lunch if I worked nearby is b/c the service is quick! You order, get a # for your table, and they bring the food to you. I think my bf and I got our meals within 8-10 mins of us sitting down. #excellent! Food I got the Newk's special sandwich... I just wasn't feeling it. Chicken tasted bland & the sauce was barely there. And I wished they had the option of a. toasting or b. no toasting. I kind of dislike toasted bread with my sandwiches. BUT I'm particular. Salad - their half Caesar salad is massive. I liked it. Not too heavy on sauce and had a lot of dark lettuce. Next time, I'll just order the salad. I love salad. Bf had the spicy chicken pizza - chicken tasted bland. It had a nice kick since it was spicy but the texture itself was meh. They also have all their sauces for use near the front of the cafe. Not a bad idea. Overall, neat place. Come here if you're in a pinch for lunch.

Went again for lunch today. I got an email for a free entrée and drink during a 2 week window around my birthday. HOORAY. Whats not to like about that! The place was packed during lunchtime, yet still a few places to sit. Had the shrimp salad, good yes, but the shrimp were precooked and cold and rather tasteless. Id opt for something else next time. Theres plenty of good choices though and all the food all around me looked great! Get on their mailing list and enter your birthday!!

I really really like this place. They have great sandwiches, salads, and thin crust pizzas. The service is always fast and very friendly and the dining room is pretty big. I've ordered the Italian, Grilled Steak, Club, and Newk's "Q" and they are all delicious. The bread is really good and fresh and all of the meat and toppings they use are high quality. I have also tried the Sausage & Pepperoni pizza as well as the Newk's "Q" pizza and love them. The crust is really thin and cooked crispy, but not burnt. There put plenty of cheese and toppings on the pizzas as well. If you are looking for a fast and fairly cheap lunch or dinner in midtown look no further. I will continue to come back to Newk's.

I wish they had this place in New York! Quick serve sandwiches/soups/and salads! I had the chicken pesto sandwich with fruits and a side of tomato soup. All of my choices really hit the mark. I also thought the girl behind the counter was super friendly (or super caffeinated). I would check this out again the next time i'm in Midtown Atlanta.

Newk's is one of several deli players in Midtown, competing with the likes of nearby Fresh2Order, Jason's Deli and Jimmy Johns, each of whom puts their own spin on the deli concept. Newk's offers big salads and other typical deli fare like soups and sandwiches. I especially like the thin bread sticks that come with salads and the big self-serve table that offers lots of sauces and condiments. It's a unique presentation. All the food I've had is good, including the black and blue salad, lobster and crab bisque and pesto chicken sandwich, and they take care to prepare everything to order. But, it's not different enough to qualify as a destination restaurant. If I was close by I'd definitely drop in. Newk's has done a good job of creating a deli atmosphere that's inviting and super clean and I look forward to exploring the menu on future visits.

I was blown away by the Shrimp Avocado Salad.....It was surprisingly HUGE and they didn't skimp on shrimp or avocado. The salad arrived tossed in a delicious lemon balsamic vinaigrette dressing. I was apprehensive about spending $11.00 for a salad, but believe me.....it was WELL worth it.

  • Coco B.

Fast paced, clean establishment, very busy during lunchtime. I had the salad and sandwich combo. Chicken salad sandwich was a bit bland, but the bread is what saved it, very delicious. Salad was fresh. Loved the black take out cups that are reuseable. The only discouraging thing there was a worker who was cleaning up a table next to us, she was throwing dishes into her cart bin and making unnecessary loud noise, like if she was mad and having a bad day. I think its very rude for workers to clean up like that, when there are patrons trying to enjoy their food and conversation. Just my opinion.

I've been to Newk's Brookhaven location a couple of times so I was very happy to see another location open just blocks from my office. I love the atmosphere of this Newks--it's roomy and comfortable, and most of the time, the lunch crowd is not very noticeable. I love the presentation of their condiment table right when you walk in. As we dined here, we noticed employees were constantly stocking the table, and it has everything imaginable that you could ever need to add to your pizza, soup, sandwich, or salad. Also, packaged breadsticks for the taking? That's a win. In addition, their prices are very reasonable and service is speedy. I ordered one of my favorites--the Spicy Shrimp Pizza. Not too long into waiting, someone stops by our table and delivers both of my coworkers' meals and informed me that instead of preparing a Spicy Shrimp Pizza, they accidently prepared a Spicy Chicken Pizza and would allow me to have both. Both pizzas came out hot and delicious. The manager checked on us a few times to make sure we thoroughly enjoyed our meal, and the staff was very helpful. Again, thankful for a midtown location--this is sure to be a favorite!

I think this place is better than Panera Bread and Fresh2Order (and of course, a way better option than Subway). Well at least what I had. Their roast beef sandwich and tomato basil soup is absolutely delicious. Good amount of beef, cheese was hot, gooey, and yummy, and the bread had a nice balance of soft and slightly crunchy. It's a very clean and a great fast-casual option in midtown. The employees were super nice and helpful. I also enjoyed the fact that I could get cold water in their nifty jugs with a fresh lemon. I know It's just water, but I liked the fact I didn't have to get bottled water for a decent cup. I will be back! Like someone else mentioned, this place should be packed and I don't want it to close anytime soon! P.S. There is a parking garage around the corner from taco mac's. It's free 1 hour validated parking if you eat at Newk's.

    (5)
  • Ashley W.

It was ok, I mean just ok. I went on a Sunday afternoon and there were only 2-3 customers in the place. Ordering was easy enough and service was quick. My only issue was the lack of knowledge on parking and if they did complimentary validation. I was told no, but when I tried to exit I saw signs saying yes the restaurant does. So at that point I refused to pay $3 for 12 minutes of parking. The garage attendant was nice enough to get my ticket validated, but I was over that. Probably will not return.

Newk's is a new favorite for lunch. The sandwiches are delicious and the salads are freshly made and taste great. I had the four cheese Mac and cheese side today with the grilled chicken sandwich and it was one of the best Mac and cheese I have ever had! If you're into lunches that fill you up but keep you feeling good then this is where you should go!

This place is definitely still working out the kinks, but the excellent service and the yummy food deserve 4 stars. Stopped by one evening to grab a quick dinner. The place was empty as they had opened very recently. The guy at the counter was super friendly - offering lots of suggestions about what to order. I finally settled on the chicken salad sandwich and my dining companion went with the Newks Q sandwich. While my chicken salad hit the spot, the Newks Q sandwich made me wish I had ordered it instead. It's made with white BBQ sauce (with chicken, bacon, and swiss), which I love. I'll definitely be ordering that the next time I stop by. There were some issues with their credit card server on this particular evening, so it took the guy a while to run my card. Instead of making me hang around and wait, he advised that we could go ahead and eat and he would let me know when their system was back up and running. All of the employees were super friendly, although it seems that some of the servers still aren't very familiar with the menu. Even so, all of our questions were answered and all of our issues were eventually resolved. A nice addition to the area!

The Newks in Midtown is consistently good with amazing service. If you feel like a calorie splurge go for the pimento cheese sandwich. It is life changing!! They always exceed my expectations.

Far superior to the Panera Bread down the street where they skimp on ingredients as much as possible. Not so at Newk's. The Newk's Favorite Salad is da bomb. And they have these tasty bread and butter pickles and breadsticks, along with sauces etc., at a table in the front, gratis. Last but not least, the staff is really friendly. Great place. No more Panera Bread for me.

It's touch to beat Newk's for lunch. I'm used to Subway, Jimmy John's and the like for a quick, casual lunch but Newk's blows them out of the water! Upon moving to Atlanta from New York City 6 months ago I found this gem and have been going ever since. They offer a free bar of sides and toppings including break sticks, pickles, roasted garlic, croutons, banana peppers, hot peppers, hot sauce, sea salt, ground black pepper, etc. --- All free! The food is great (definitely try the "Newk's Q" sandwich), staff is really friendly, sandwiches come with a side (pasta salad is pretty darn good) and location on Peachtree St is pretty convenient. Only issue is finding a parking spot if you're driving to get here.

Never heard of Newk's before so when it opened in mid-town I had to go check it out. The restaurant is an "eatery" and they have a good selection of sandwiches, pizza ... The ambiance is "fresh" with lots of space and bright colors. It is quite attractive and there is plenty of space for people. They have a small "super fast" counter just at the entrance and a normal ordering counter further back. Both of them were efficient and had good knowledge of the various dishes. Had a chicken sandwich which was tasty but a little dry. I had it with fresh fruit as a side dish. They have quite a few choices. Overall a great experience and we will come back to check out other options. Beer and wine will be available shortly.

This place is awesome! Not only is their menu plentiful, but so far everything I've tried is delicious. I love their bread. Great texture. It's nice that they offer beer and wine as well. Great atmosphere and service also. I will definitely return.

Good location and usually fast service with a solid selection. But execution and quality control are lacking. Recent chef salad was drenched in what was supposed to be balsamic vinaigrette but tasted like straight oil. The chunks of ham and turkey were mushy- either old or just poor quality. And please get the recipe right- chef's salad is not made with cubes of ham and turkey and no egg? The prices aren't great while the portions are generous. They need to eat their own food with an eye towards quality- it doesn't cost that much more to make good good than it does to make this drek.

Besides having the most hands on fabulous manager Mark, at the cash register is Tara .....the most lovely, efficient and friendly person who will go a long way in customer service....She is a shining star when you work in and place your order.

Food here is tasty and fresh, people are nice, and the prices are reasonable. Casual setting for lunch or maybe dinner. I've tried their pizza, several salads, sandwiches--all good quality. Really love the complimentary extras on the condiment table, including roasted garlic, shredded parmesan, hearty crutons, breadsticks, capers, etc.

I ordered the half sandwich half salad. My sandwich was the shrimp po boy. The food was great but the sandwich was small. I don't have a large appetite but I was still a little hungry. Cost approx 10 dollars.

I look forward to potato soup on Tuesdays and Thursday. They also have it Saturdays. I wish they had it everyday! The service is great and the staff is friendly. This has turned into my fav lunch spot A little pricey. But worth it.

Newks has become a favorite of mine and my husband's. The closest one to us used to be in town Brookhaven and now that they opened a location in Midtown, we can walk 5 minutes and be there! They just started a rewards program which I believe is, buy 10, get one free! The Newks Q and white chicken chili is my favorite combo! The italian is also great. Their Mac n cheese is also amazing and salads are a very generous portion. They have complimentary breadsticks, saltine crackers, amazing croutons and more! The bread is just so delicious; toasted perfectly! The only sad part is that I now need to remove gluten from my diet, so maybe one day, they will offer gluten free bread!
