Five stars for this particular joint because I was so impressed with the Choose-Your-Own burger. Actually tasty burgers for $5. The lettuce wrap option was a nice touch and actually really good! Wrapped carefully with big, fresh leaves to make sure ingredients were properly contained, and no juices were leaking. This location also let the GT Pokemon team have a small tournament here. Thanks, guys, for being awesome!

i was hungry and broke and decided to go here for a happy meal. the person who took my order was rude and yelled at me saying "can we get done with one order at a time!?! can we??!?" when I only wanted a happy meal and a ice cream cone, is that too much to ask for?.. I wasn't happy getting it at all.

McDonald's in America usually is of the sucky variety. And after spending an entire summer in Asia, which is filled with AWESOME gourmet-esque McDonalds, well yes, I can't help but have new standards. So, this McDonald's has been undergoing renovations since the turn of the century, and I finally got the chance to experience the new deal last Friday night, somewhere around 11:30pm. Poor Burger King next door had virtually no customers... but this place was busy busy! So, inside: all modern decor, flat screen TVs and a variety of seating options (booths, tables, stools). I was the DD that night, which meant that my friend most definitely wasn't... I asked the very friendly cashier to excuse my friend's little bout of too-happy behavior while we ordered, and luckily, she and both had a common understanding of drunk people and their antics. I ordered a medium fries and also tried the new Rolo McFlurry. In addition to her own food, my friend ordered to-go a 20 piece chicken nugget for our other drunk friend down the road. Of course, food came out fast, and when I asked for ketchup with my fries, I was glad to receive way too many packets (that's better than not receiving enough!). We sat down, and (this is service!) the friendly cashier actually came over to our table to bring the chicken nuggets. I'll be back, soon! Kudos to whoever manages this place.

McDonald's on Northside Drive is staying current and progressing into the future! I was amazed today when I visited this particular location. It's very clean & modern and the crew is super friendly! They recently refreshed / remodeled the dining room again and if I recall they remodeled the entire restaurant just 4 years ago! They are playing up to date music and the restaurant has a good vibe! I was surprised to find 4 new ordering kiosk in the dining room, digital menu boards and they've even put in a new service system on the front counter. They also have Coke Free Style which is a nice option. I tried their new CREATE YOUR TASTE, $7.87 (tax included) for a meal, but it was delivered to my table, served open faced in a nice wire basket w/ liner and fries in a basket with liner. The quality was amazing and it was definitely worth the money and the 7-10 minute wait to have a perfect burger, exactly the way I ordered and served to me at my table by a server!!! They even have table locators to let the server know where I was sitting. They checked on me twice during my visit to make sure I was okay and took my tray for me when I was finished! Overall great experience and I'll definitely be back to have Create Your Taste again! Great Job Team Northside!!

It's a McDonald's by Georgia Tech, next to a Burger King, across from a Krystal, and soon to be across from a Cook-Out. Compared to the other fast-food restaurants (except for Cook-Out) listed above, it's got the best service and the fastest service time of the lot. Two-line ordering for drive through, and one window for paying and getting your food. They remodeled the place a few years ago, so it's got that modern fast-food feel that everyone seems to be doing lately. Oh, they also have two of the freestyle coke machines. Hooray! If they are out of a flavor in one it'll be in the other. It's one-way traffic flow around the building, and there are two ways to exit: Northside Dr. and Hemphill. Just don't be that guy who turns left out of there onto Nothrside Dr. during rush-hour.

The food at McDonalds is what you would expect, and in spite of the place looking very, very good, I have to give it just 3 stars not because of the employees (which were professional and courteous), but because of the ridiculously slow Internet!! It must be the policy of McDonalds to provide Internet at their locations that absolutely SUCK because this has been the 2nd newly redesigned location that has paltry internet speeds. According to the Speedtest app on my iPhone, downloads speeds were clocked at 0.41 MB/s, and upload speeds were at 0.16 MB/s, meaning when you go on a website in here, it will take a long time (upwards of 30+ seconds or more) just to access a web page.... Other than that, it's a nice location....

This McDonald's location is right outside of Georgia Tech's campus. I stopped here to grab a quick snack(an ice cream cone and a chicken sandwich). Service was standard. It was around lunch time and they did a great job of being "fast food." The restrooms were really clean also which always tells you about expectations at places and management.

I'm a little peeved that Daniel B. was the First to Review. Everyone knows I'm the McD's junkie! Gah! Anyway, I'll give them kudos for being open Thanksgiving Day morning. I was in the drive-thru behind a new Bentley coupe and there was a van full of laborers behind me. Quite the mix and I definitely appreciated the diversity, especially that day. It just goes to show that everyone needs to eat, especially me. I was preparing to drive to Blue Ridge and needed some nourishment since I had so cleverly avoided grocery stores as the Thanksgiving rush was in full force. I ordered. It took a little longer than normal, but that was to be expected. It seemed more expensive than most McD's in the area. I guess they know where they're located and charge accordingly. I've dined inside on other visits and the service is usually just as slow, although I'd like to clarify that it's not mind numbing slow (like Atlanta traffic). It's just not as fast as most other locations. Choose carefully and let your money do the talking. If this isn't where you want to spend your money, go somewhere else. There's a Burger King next door, a Krystal across the street, and a Waffle House a mile north.

Friendly and quick service, just what I want from a fast food restaurant. They have never messed up my order, and they are open 24/7! What's not to like.....?

During undergrad this Mickey D's was a quick fix on those late night study sessions. I've seen the place over go renovations over the past few years and it is pretty nice-- spacious, the last time I went it in was clean, service is usually pretty fast and average friendly. They have free wireless My HUGE issue with this McDonald's in particular is the inconsistent pricing. I love smoothies, and they constantly charge me different rates for them. It'll say one thing on the marquee, but then I'm charged something different and when I ask about it they say that's the new price and it hasn't been changed yet. Also, they have a bad habit of typing in the wrong order for. I say plain egg biscuit (in my very clear 'just for ordering food proper voice', then they charge me for egg and cheese. I tell them of the error and they act like it's not an error... idk, freakin' annoying. I've also had to correct them at the final window. They'll charge me something different, then I ask them what the cost difference is and they seem to be unable to compute basic math... or just figure it out on their cash register... what the freak man, get it together.... This McDonald's is more expensive then the one off Ponce, they charge on average 25 cents more for non-dollar menu items. (I pretty much only order smoothies and breakfast food so those are the items I'm talking about.)

I've never reviewed a McDonald's before, but I go to enough of them since my son is addicted to chicken mcnuggets and fries. Anyway, it's rush hour, but the wait was not bad compared to any other McDonald's. I've also been to the one on Peachtree in Buckhead and on Collier. Anyway, I get to the food window and the girl has some 15 drinks stacked up. What the hell? She hands me my Diet Coke, which of course when I get home turns out to be a Dr. Pepper. Yuck. Also, while the fries and mcnuggets were just fine, my Big Mac had the most amount of "secret sauce" I've had on a Big Mac in my 43 years of life. It was gross. I took one bite and all this sauce came flying out the other end. Blech.

I only go through the drive-through here. I find the service and speed to be excellent, far better than the Burger King right next to it. I always leave this McDonald's feeling valued because the employees are so nice.

Unlike a lot of people, I am actually a fan of McDonald's. Growing up, their Happy Meals were awesome. And up until today, their food has always been consistent. No matter what store you go to, the burgers, fries, etc. will always (for the most part) taste the same. My McDonald's favorites include the original Big Mac, Cheeseburger, Chicken McNuggets, Sausage Biscuit, McFlurries and of course, their fries. The food at this location (Northside) is the same as all the rest and I've always had decent service here. The only downsides to this location are the panhandlers that drop by from time to time, the dingy brown decor inside, and the outside of the restaurant seems a little run down (parking lot, outdoor seating area, and even the McDonald's sign on top of the restaurant - see my pics). I've been approached by panhandlers on more than one occasion at this location - one of them complained to me that I didn't give him enough change when all he asked for was change in the first place! Anyway, I would also like to add that this location, due to its proximity to Georgia Tech, has a retro theme inside, pictures of Tech Tower, and other Tech paraphernalia, so that's pretty cool.

Looks clean and it's open late. Can't ask more from fast food. We all grew up with the taste so we know it's good.

  • Gina R.

I just stopped here for something to drink. I was chased and harassed by panhandlers as soon as I got out of my car, and when I got back into my car. I had a lady CHASE me to my car while yelling at me, and then she hit my car with her cane. Just stay away from this place. If they don't even have the courtesy to hire a security guard to brush the throngs of harassers / panhandlers out of the parking lot so customers can get in and out of the door without being bothered and yelled at, it's NOT worth your time / energy / frustration to stop here.
