Fact: I hate McDonald's... I rarely, if ever, eat here. Yes, I am one of those anti fast food people. HOWEVER This morning I woke up with my tummy hurting because I had overworked my liver last night (again). I had crashed at my friend's place, and when we woke up, she declared that we needed breakfast from Mickey D's. So we go. I ordered an egg mcmuffin, no meat, plus a couple of hash browns through the drive through. Can you say great experience? They were pleasant, polite, and made sure to get the order right. And when the goods were received - envision a piping hot hash brown - my stomach immediately turned into a happy face from a sad face. Awesome!

Always the most polite drive-though employees! Seriously, I don't go often but they are friendly and nice. Bonus, fries are usually seasoned just right.

The morning crew here are so nice! They know what I want when I come in and seem to get everyone in & out quickly.

Coming from someone who was a manager at a McDonald's before, I have seen way better. Hell, I've DONE way better. The quality of the food and service here isn't even worth the $1.08 you can pay for a chicken sandwich. So to help you out, I've compiled a list of the DO's and DON'T's at this location. Here are the don'ts: DON'T plan to pay with a card after 1am. For some magical reason they only accept cash between 1am and 6am EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. DON'T even worry about your order being correct after 11pm. The "idgaf" crew comes in around that time. DON'T even worry about complaining to the manager. Tried that and she turned up on us for having a complaint. DON'T write corporate telling them about how horrible your experience was- they'll send you an email telling you they appreciate your feedback. But I can assure you nothing changes about the location. Here are the do's: DO find another McDonald's to go to.

Super friendly but pay with cash or they will try to confuse you in an attempt to steal your debit/credit card.

I stopped for a quick lunch here on a Sunday. I ordered a Bacon McDouble Value Meal for 4 bucks and an ice cream cone. I really came for the ice cream. .the value meal was just gonna be an appetizer until I got to the real food that I call ice cream. I pulled up to the first drive thru window and the young dame working the window informed me that they didn't have any ice cream cones. My heart broke....I cried in the car(not really but I did in my mind). I told her it was ok and she subtracted the $1 from my total and I paid for my lackluster burger, fries, and drink. Ate it all with a hurt heart...

It's a good spot overall. I ordered, and the fries and nuggets were pretty good. Their sweet tea is very good too. Also, their wifi is very slow in comparison to Starbucks down the street. However, it looks that it has been here for quite a while, and is due for an upgrade.

  • Emily M.

Always friendly. Always suggest 2 for $3 chicken biscuits which are nice. Fountain drinks are always ice cold. Always had good experiences here. I wish I could pay with my card at night though...kind of sounds like they are pocketing cash. Good food nevertheless

Food is always fresh when I go...but I don't go often. Nothing stands out about it, just a regular McDonalds.

This probably isn't a title I should be proud to hold, but I'm a McDonald's connoisseur. As an expert, I can confidently say that this is a bad store. I gave it three stars because during the day this is actually a pleasant experience. Nice employees, quick service, and hot food. You're still okay once the sun goes down... however if you come here after 11:00 PM it's at your own risk. First, this location only has a "Late Night Menu" after 11 and you can only order certain items. I've seen this done before and I'll at least give them credit for not inexplicably raising prices like other locations that do this. Regardless, I think this is stupid. If you're going to be open, everything should be available. Coincidentally, I have the same issue Kroger and CVS closing certain departments even though they're open, but I digress. I've ordered off the Late Night Menu before and it's normally okay with a reasonable wait time. Tonight I came through around 11:30 and ordered a Quarter Pounder. I drove away and discovered a McRib. Within a few minutes I was back in the drive-thru trading out my sandwich. Well, technically there wasn't a trade because when I offered the McRib the employee said "No thank you." It's just annoying, especially considering most times I come here after the bar and it would be more helpful if they ran things normally. Special instructions and distractions like a long line really aren't cool when you're just trying to get some grease and then crawl into bed.

I was just accidentally locked out of my house and STARVING after a 12 hour work day. The young man at the drive thru window (midnight on sept-6) was exceptionally polite and respectful, which really put me in a better mood. In fact, I tried calling them so I could praise him to the manager but no one answered. So I created a yelp acct just to write this review (because I'm almost finished with my burger and still locked out.) The ice cream machine was "out" :( but the fries were fresh and hot. 8/10 will go again.

This place is pretty sketchy with homeless people, and the soda fountain and ketchup are always messed up, but I go through the drive through and a dude gave me props on my music selection, so it's a pretty legit place in my book.

Ive had two interesting times at this McDonalds. Combined with the amount of times I see David K. check in here on Foursquare, I know a few things about it. One is that David K has a small obsession with coming here at all hours. At least thats what I got from Foursquare. On top of that, the weird thing is, is that they cut down there menu at a certain time. I dont know exactly why, but all I wanted was a plain cheese burger, and they denied me. I figure this place can get pretty busy at night with all the bars around, but it irks me that I cant get what I want when I want it. Granted this isnt Burger King, so I can not get it "the way I want it" but at the same time if I want to spend money, I want it to be spent the way I want it. The inside was nice, kept nice and clean. I wouldnt be too afraid to go in there again, but maybe more so when the sun is up and high in the sky.

After perusing others' reviews, I determined a single commonality among highly rated reviews, those reviews that garner votes like some multi-headed Obama/Clinton monster that gave out chocolate and liquor before every caucus. I noticed that places to which many people have been, like a Kroger or a Chili's or your mom's house elicits votes like no other. I guess those locations lead to a communal experience to which people can relate. And so, in a naked grab for votes and the approval of all you, Dear Yelpers, I shall review, with a steely-eyed Grimace, those Golden Arches of Gastrointestinal Distress, a place for whom lovin' it is definitely a relative experience, McDonald's. Not just any Clown house mind you, but the one whose very existence mocked my arrival to Atlanta lo those many years ago, the Ponce McDonalds. When I didn't feel like jerk chicken or waiting 20 minutes for a burrito (RIP Tortillas) The Ponce McDonald's meted out its goods to me, doling out in equal measures pain and delight. Delight in the form of the ever-sublime McRib Sandwich. Pain in the form of service surpassed only by the Ponce Popeye's in their inability to meet even the minimal expectations established by the fast food industry. But after a few less-than-sober 3am drive-bys, I've come to cherish the experience. The unpredictability of their drive-in window is like some perverse game of chance. Sometimes I may order a 10 piece McNuggets and get a Happy Meal in return. Other times I may order a small hamburger and get an entire Big Mac. An entire Big Mac! I've succeeded where the Hamburgler could not! I snicker at my success and abscond with my booty. My horrible, horrible artery-clogging booty. So God bless the zombie-like graveyard crew at the Ponce McDonald's. I raise my drink up to you! Uh, and that would be a Diet Coke, not a Sprite. Yeah, thanks.

It's close to my pad, and doesn't do anything unpleasant with the food. Great for morning biscuits and the occasional Big Mac. What more can you ask for from a McDonald's?

I need breakfast. Thats what I got I normally dont eat Mcd. BUT I didnt eat my breakfast before I went to work. The sales guy was NICE. He showed me I didnt have to swipe my card to pay. Also, they all looked around for grape jelly for me since it seemed as though they ran out. 5 stars for caring.

seriously, i cant believe i am rating a...gulp...Micky d's. rarely come here. but sometimes, i have a hankering for a big mac or a fish fillet. who the hell knows what kind of fish it is. i really don't care. all i care about is that warm, steamy bun and decent tartar sauce, and the barely existent piece of gov't cheese all paired with the mediocre fish. this location has the two order drive thru thingys to make the ordering process move quicker. *a little tidbit of advice, always check your bag b/f leaving. on 2 occasions, they have left critical items out of my bag, like my apple pie and big mac! it's off of ponce, very convenient so, there you have it...

As far as McDonalds goes this place fits squarely in the middle nay- the upper echelon of McDonalds restaurants. Unlike Ivan S., I have never received an incorrect order despite the numerous late night runs for fries and a cone. Speaking of the almighty vanilla cone at McDonalds- did you know that it contains less calories that any other cone at any other fast food restaurant? Okay, maybe I am not quite right in my facts but I do know that that $1.08 vanilla-flavored dreaminess tastes better than all the other fast food chains. Back to this review though.... I almost always get good service at this location and while the drive-through window people can sometimes be gruff and rude I always know that in their hearts they love me. I also love when I randomly get the sweet old lady at the drive through- generally for a morning chicken biscuit- who calls me sweetie. Makes me feel like I just bought a chicken biscuit from a locally owned restaurant vs the king clown of all chain joints. I am only brought back down to earth when I taste a chicken biscuit that has some how been infused with pickle flavor- odd yet addicting. For the service and meals, albeit unhealthy and sickening in the thought of the treatment of their animals, I give the Ponce McDonalds a 4. They always deliver.

Anyone who does not give McDonald's 5 stars in un-American. We all know what to expect, that's why we check our bags before we drive off. The first bite of a double chee washes the annoyance away. I'm having my wedding reception at McDonald's (if it's not already booked).

  • Nicholas R.

I go to the one on moreland now (which aint much better) because this one is so bad. They cant help that they stop serving big macs after 11pm (I get off at 11) I just dont get why? Ya cant have that many different kinda machines on to heat a mac instead of a quarter pounder? I dont know I dont get it this place is just slow (despite the two order station and just most of the time the people working are unpleasent or bothered that you are ordering from them. It use to be a great one I dont know what happend but thats why I just gave up and chose to drive the extra mile to a different one.

This McDonald's is a mess. There is one group of friendly drive-thru workers and they are sweet as can be. Otherwise, this is the worst. Nothing is more evident of this than the recent addition of Cookout next door. Cookout will have lines down the block and this McDonald's will be dead. It's because their Coke recipe is wrong. Period. It's because their Staff is rude and dismissive (with the exception of maybe 4 people) It's because their shake machine is seldom working. It's because the homeless people are confrontational. I have been eating here for more than 10 years and they get my order right about 1 out of every 10 times in the drive thru. Their buns are never fresh and the line is impossible for breakfast. It used to be impossible all day, but now all of their business has gone to Cookout next door since they are so rude here.

Mary shrugged and wiped a layer of grease from her forehead. "Jesus," she thought, "I should have finished high school." On the flat top were ten sausages ready to made into McGriddles. On the screen overhead were orders for McGriddles, McMuffins, and McEgg Whites. "Sigh," Mary checked her watch," Only 8 more hours." If you've been to a McDonalds, then you've been to this one. This one has yet to receive McDonald's crappy, modern update.

This is my local McDonald's. I could walk there from my home if I wished. I have never had any issues with my orders. The food is typical of most McDonald's. Stays warm on the ride home. My only issue is when it takes your order a bit too long. They make you park in these special drive-thru spots in front of the front window. You wait there until someone brings out your food. Well, sometimes you can get trapped, especially if you are in the spot closest to the window. A couple of times, I have had to wait a bit before I could back up and leave the establishment. I wish those spots were located somewhere else. Also, it can be a bit tricky to make a left turn when you want to get out! Be careful.

This McDs is kind of a cluster. The in-and-outs are kinda wacky.. This is really only a place I visit every so often after drinking. Except this evening.. I was killing time before meeting with other people. Ordered a "small iced coffee with nothing extra in it," and got a small iced coffee with extra cream. Sigh. Ordered nuggets even though I know better. They were fine. Not the best area but fine for a drive-thru trip.

Really??? reviewing a Micky D's and giving it 4 stars!?!?!?! Well, I admit McDonalds is usually not anything more than a greasy fond childhood memory for the most part, but this one I do occasionally visit to pick up cravings for my pregnant wife or when Im feeling like a little fattie. I do give them credit for being pretty consistently nice and courteous. This is not always the case at fast food places or even nicer dining establishments so gotta give a shout out to the ladies who take my order, payment and give me the mystery nuggets and sundae with a smile and really nice manners! Thanks McLadies and see you soon!
