The beau and I decided to have a pizza/movie night in together since it was raining pretty hard and it was a gloomy day all day long. We decided to check this place out since 1) it's named after a friend and 2) it's right down the road from our apartment. We walked in and ordered a extra large pizza with 2 toppings. After I ordered, I realized that I was overcharged because I did not notice their grand opening special and had to talk to the manager to get refunded the extra amount. There wasn't a problem with that, which I was satisfied about, but the pizza was seriously lacking. We got home, and I ate the pizza right away because I didn't want to let it sit and get cold. It was.. just.. meh. I ate about two slices, and I was done for the night. The beau usually eats anything, and he couldn't handle it. He actually woke up in the middle of night with the worst stomachache ever. He had such a bad experience that he never wants to order from there again. I guess we'll stick the the standard popular pizza chains.

The pizza and wings are very good - that would have been good enough (not sure why the food is criticized in other posts). The reason why I like this place is because I've had good experiences in the past and tonight they stepped their customer service up even more. We had a pizza delivered but this particular driver did not have the access code to the gate so he called us to get in. Unfortunately, we were away from the phone and didn't hear it. He called seven times before finally going back to the restaurant. When the designated delivery time was up, we were going to call the store to check on the pizza and that's when we saw all of his calls. I called the store to see what could be done - deliver it again, go pick it up, etc. The manager, Jasmine, handled things beautifully and went out of her way to keep my business. She offered to re-send the delivery driver but I couldn't ask him to do that again. She offered to re-make our pizza which they did. She took off the delivery fee but I appreciated their efforts so I went ahead and left a tip that hopefully compensates for it. Jasmine even let me keep my coupon while giving me the coupon price. She was patient, kind, and professional - she must be a different (new?) manager than the ones mentioned in other posts. I will definitely return.

I've been here a couple times, both times the service was kind of mediocre, everyone just kind of looks like they hate their job, the first time I came in I ordered a turkey club bravo, it was good, nothing to brag about though, this time I ordered a pizza with the salad and some cinnasquares, it all just kind of tasted basic. Nothing was exceptional or great, just...average

I love the service they give , it's always top notch in my book, I've never had any problem. Tonight for dinner I had the Steak & Cheese Brunno and oh boy was it ever so Damn good , I've tried 5 of the 8 subs and all have been good so far. There Pizzas are top notch also , if you can try what you want , it won't be disappointing.

This place sucks! Staff is slow! It took them 20 minutes to make a SALAD! With 6 people working and NO one else in the store. This is by far the worst customer service I've ever had.

I can't speak to the service but the Pizza was great! all the veggies on my pizza were chopped fresh and the pizza was hot when it arrived, no weird cheese was used either. Dough was crispy and perfectly cooked. Young kid delivered didnt say much but what else is he supposed to say besides "sign here"...anywho, I'll definitely be ordering from here again!! Oh and the pizza got to my house in a pretty good time as well...if it got here faster I'd think they just had it under a hot lamp,

I've had the pizza once before, and it was halfway decent for a small chain in the South. Being from NJ, I tend to be critical of pizza in general, but Marco's is decent enough to do the job. My issue is with the customer service, which in this location's case was awful. I am in the service industry, and even I was surprised and disappointed in my experience tonight. I called them at exactly 9:30 to place an order for one pizza, and was told that they stop taking orders at 9:30! Their menu and website claims they are open until 10, which is either a lie or the staff was too lazy to make one more pizza a half hour from close. I'm sorry, but if you're open until 10, then you're open until 10, not 9:30. Congrats Marco's, you lost yourself a sale, a nice tip, and a customer. I can walk to Marco's, but I'll gladly drive elsewhere for a better experience.

Ordered pizza and a meatball sub for delivery last night. The person that answered the phone was friendly and helpful. The food was delivered just as they said it would be and tasted great! Loved the thin crust pie. Based on previous reviews, it sounds like they are under new management or have cleaned up their act. Definitely give Marco's a shot and form your own opinion.

I actually came here because the reviews were so bad. Crazy right. So the story is that I've had pizza delivered from the new Briarcliff location, which was pretty good. Greasy but good (come on, it is pizza). So as soon as I walk in to the shallowford location I am greeted and allowed time to review the menu while the cashier stood patiently behind the register (was not on phone). Food came promptly and we enjoyed a fresh salad, slice of cheese pizza, and a veggie fresco sub in a clean environment. All was enjoyed. I'm assuming they've discarded some poor employees because our experience was fine. Hope this helps!

The good is that the pizza is good.....however the service was horrible. I ordered a pizza a week ago and I'm just getting it!! I ordered the pizza and asked for delivery. I called three times and was told that the pizza was on the way 3 times; however on the fourth time I was told that my pizza was delivered. ....to who? After coming up there the manager told me I put in the wrong address.....no I didn't. The delivery guy walked in and said he delivered to my address......so he recalled the address and it was correct but for some reason I didn't have my pizza.... so basically the delivery guy must delivered to the wrong address. I was told they already shut their grills off so come back another day and get the pizza; however every time I called the manager wasn't in and no one knew what was going on..... so I basically just showed up a week from the exact day and time I ordered my pizza to get the free one..... Aww yeh the guy that they delivered my pizza to left a tip on my card.....bastard! I suggest carry out!

Pizza is very good -- better than most other nearby options -- Mo's, Papa John's Pizza Hut, but not nearly as good as Mellow Mushrooms. But the service is impossibly bad. I could not even get through to make an order this time around -- 20 min. and 5 phone calls, nobody to take an order. This review was from 2013. Service is much better now.

Ordered pizza for our kids to be delivered to our house while we went for the concert. Our cellphones were off and when we got home we found out that pizza never arrived and kids were starving! When we called in MARCO's they could not find our order but guess what, our credit card still managed to get charged!!! Customer service is terrible!!! Nobody knows anything and there is no customer appreciation in that place!

I am not at all a picky eater and I rarely have regrets about trying new eateries, but this was definitely at the top of my worst food experiences EVER! Not only were we not greeted by any of the five employees standing at the counter, but we literally stood there for 7 minutes listening to them talk about a panhandler that left as we were arriving. Since this was our first visit, I took that time to look over the menu, but was still never acknowledged. After waiting a few minutes, I decided to approach the counter to place my order. An employee, who appeared to be the manger, took my order and my boyfriend and I sat on the stools directly in front of the counter. The "manager" then began discussing time sheets with an employee and even mentioned terminating him because of his tardiness. The other employees were on their phones, walking in and out of the restaurant, and at one point there was no one in the front to answer the ringing phone! My boyfriend and I were in so much shock that we even joked about being on a hidden camera show. Our food was finally ready and we headed out as quickly as we could. I wouldn't dare think about returning there ever again! The breadsticks were decent, but the chicken Caesar salad was terrible. This place should be shut down immediately! It was a total circus show and is only hurting the brand...

Kinda expensive for what it is. I haven't been impressed with any of their "specialty" pizzas. They make a delicious cheese or pepperoni pizza but thats about it. It's tasty, but it'll sure clean out the ole' colon with all that grease. DO NOT EAT HERE BEFORE A LENGTHY CAR RIDE.

It was with some apprehension that I sat down to wait for my pizza to come as I had just started reading the Yelp reviews and they were, errr, mixed to say the least. 1) You're in a strip shopping center (next to 85) - warning sign number 1. 2) Everyone - and I mean EVERYONE - in the store was on their phone when I walked in. 3) The quality of the food was okay; I didn't get sick, but it was definitely on the "Feed" end of the scale versus "Culinary Masterpiece". It is what it is - I had to get something to eat because I was in a difficult time and food circumstance and they were RIGHT THERE. Would I take my prom date here? No Am I taking anyone to prom any more? No

Let me start off by saying I really love Marco's pizza and other foods. Great flavors, good variety, good value. This Particular location however was far below my expectations. We walked through the door for dine in and the gentleman required us to provide name and phone number. For dine in?? He was very short and rude and was quite pushy with taking our order. Then the soda machine flavor was incorrect, giving me a watery diet Pepsi. And top the experience off, we noticed ANTS crawling on the wall across from our table; an employee who was cheering on the football game on tv came and dusted them off and offered a "sorry". No one checked back with us to see if everything tasted ok or if we needed anything else. I will personally will never be back to this location.

Need to start off by saying the pizza is very good. The quality and taste of the food is excellent. Downside to this place is since it's newly opened, the staff still has a long ways to go in getting orders right. First time we went, it took 30 min to get a small cheese pizza. Second time we placed an order online, waited half an hour, went to pick it up, and it still took an additional 30 min. Today we put in an order over the phone, called to confirm the order was ready before picking up, but the order was wrong. Done with this place for now, but will wait until we read some positive reviews before going back.

The Food Was DELICIOUS. The Pizza Is The Best Delivery Pizza I Have Ever Had. They Have A Nice Dining Room As Well. The Staff Is Very Friendly & Knowledgeable Of The Menu. They Have Suggested Wonderful Food To My Family & I . I Have Not Had Any Problems. I Will Continue To Take My Family To Marcos Pizza On Shallowford Rd.

If you are in the market for a store bought pizza, save your money and go to Publix instead of Marco's. I've had 2 pizza's there--one with pepperoni and cheese (that I didn't order but got home to find out that's what it was) and one with anchovies and olives on thin, crispy crust. Both were marginally OK and passable, but I could have gotten the same thing for less from a grocery store pizza. Add to that, the manager appears to be constantly upset and is downright rude at times. "Smile" is not in his vocabulary or countenance, and once when I got there just after they had closed, I was waved away like I was a mad dog. Who needs "attitude" when there are so many other businesses willing to serve you in this economy? He obviously is not glad to see anyone, so far be it from me to suffer his "make my day" atititude. I'll stick with Domino's and Pizza Hut any day.

A very disappointing restaurant; I had a gift certificate to Marco's; I called the location to ask why the certificate number wasn't working online. Kash, the owner, said place the order and bring the certificate in and he will take care of it. I was suppose to pay $15 but ended up paying $30. His reasoning was online prices are promotional prices and the certificate is only for regular price items. Their menu IN the restaurant had the same price as online. NO WHERE WAS THERE REGULAR PRICE ITEMS. Seems like he just wants to make more money and scam people. As for the food, it's nothing to rave about it. It tasted like frozen Tombstone pizza. Needless to say I will NEVER recommend this location to anyone.

I'm giving Marco's 3 stars for the pizza alone. I have to agree with the other folks that say that the customer service is lacking. I only experienced the service while stopping in to order and wait for a pizza. The pizza itself was very tasty and fresh. The sauce is very tangy and good. Heating it up later worked out well. Now for the service: First, the guy that helped me didn't really greet me, didn't look me in the eye, and was distracted by others and the phone ringing then making me feel attended to. No smiling or doing the things that helps a new customer feel welcome. Then he got my name wrong and they were calling out for a Ted. That's ok but then they were reprimanding the guy in front of me. You should just apologize to me and follow up with the guy in private later. Please hire someone who can perform some customer service!

I'll start by saying that customer service was null. I ordered a foot long italian (ended up being right around $10). It took around 30 minutes during a busy period, which is understandable. Great atmosphere. New location. Fancy stuff. Now, onto the food quality. The sandwich had less meat than a subway sandwich. For $10, I expected some meat. Negative. My meats consisted of frugally sliced salami and ham, no pepperoni. The toppings were also lacking, and it felt like eating a seasoned bread sandwich. I will say that the bread was DELICIOUS. I'd go to say as far as to say they probably made it house. Food quality: 8/10. Food value: 1/10 Atmosphere: 8/10 Cleanliness: 3/10 (dirty tables everywhere) Customer Service: 4/10. Apathetic attitude. To the owner, consider this: Your profit margin on such a sandwich might be high due to low food cost, but repeat business will suffer.
