Food is always great .... Try the graveyard drink .... Nice place to kick back and just relax

Good wings but it took us soooooooo long to get a table. Mind you we were here during a football game but still, there has to be a way to move people in and out of the restaurant to provide service to all of the patrons. Overall, its a fun place to go. Huge flat screen tvs, good bar food, and tons of guys BUT be prepared for a long wait (both to find a parking space and to find a table).

No frills for sure! Virginia Highlands makes it a cooler spot. Parking can get very tight. I parked around the corner and prayed for safety. Karoke Fridays is why I dropped by. Karoke was fun, drink specials were great. Try the Long Island if ur brave. My food was unimpressive. Next time I will try the wings. Stays open till 3 am and ppl dance and sing shameless as they wanna be. I will return for booze and ppl watching.

Better with the renovations. Food is better on a roach coach! You go for the atmosphere, but the food, fried fried and more fried! There are better sports bars~!

It took the bartender longer than it should have to take our order. We were sitting directly in front of him but it really seemed as though we were invisible to him. This really irritated me. Once he finally acknowledged us, I ordered wings and fries. They were good but I've definitely had better. My drink was okay but he definitely could have mixed it better. I tasted more vodka than anything. I enjoyed the DJ and the karaoke. However, the GROWN women in here get pretty loose on Saturday nights. It caught me a little off guard but hey, I guess some people didn't get a chance to experience college life. They don't have hookahs here which was a disappointment also. This Dugan's is down the street from me so I'd definitely return, I just know not to expect much customer service. Side note: Parking gets pretty bad so I park in the Kroger parking lot, it's not that far of a walk.

Whoa! I went to this Atlanta staple after an adventurous day and I was anticipating having good food and drinks, but I didn't know the entertainment level on a Saturday night was going to be like it was. It was Karaoke night and people were "turnt up" to say the least. Oh by the way it was Memorial day weekend, so it was hard to find a place to sit. My date and I had to wait for someone to leave before finding a seat. The place was so busy we had to tap a waitress on the shoulder to clean off the booth. Other than that the place is great! It may not be your place to hit on the regular, but as always...go see for yourself :). I ordered their boneless buffalo wings with lemon pepper flavor and it was great! And I ordered Purple Rain to drink, it's like a Long Island with one more liquor, raspberry liqueur. Very tasty!

This location is the best one to me. I enjoy their lemon pepper wings alot and I always go for hot wings at a place so for me to say I love their lemon pepper wings, take note. I always have a good time when I go. The bartenders treat you right and keep you entertained. I love that they have kareoke, I think some people are regulars, like it's American Idol and sound pretty good and some, pure entertainment. Alot of people celebrate some type of class reunion or a birthday when I come here and that's cool because everyone is there to have a good time. I usually go on a Friday or Saturday. Parking can be a headache at times and it can get packed pretty fast.

Went here around 6pm on Wednesday...DEAD! It was a few Old Heads in there, but that's it! Luckily the NBA had a few games on.....other than the "Sausage Party" that was going on...the food was pretty good! The Pepper Jack Fried Mac n Cheese was good and so was the Garlic Parmesan Chicken Wings.

Very tempted to give 5 stars but the plastic-bottle gin helps me restrain myself. I may update later. I did 5-star enjoy myself during my first excursion to Dugan's, which I did not even know existed. I would still not know it existed were it not for my failure to pay attention on my way to meet my sister at the Clermont Lounge. My friend and I parked in the wrong lot, and since I haven't been to the ol Clermont in a while (and he had never been), I just migrated to the nearest door. We walked in and it didn't quite feel right, but I was calling/texting my sister and somehow I was just not thinking about it. I was about to actually say "huh, they really redid this place" when a server came up to us and said "where are you trying to go?" And I think my friend or I said "uh, are we in the wrong place?" To which he said "I guaranTEE you're in the wrong place." So I looked around and for the first time saw that my friend and I were the only white people in there. Which neither of us minded - I was just embarrassed that I was there on accident. The server looked at us and said "you're going to the Clermont Lounge, aren't you?" We laughed and nodded, and he very courteously walked us out and pointed to the correct location. After a fun couple of hours at the Clermont, it was getting hot in there (*read: foreshadowing/irony*) so I suggested to my friend that we "go back to that place we accidentally went earlier." He wholeheartedly agreed, and I mean, our car was there. So we walked back in, on purpose this time. Dugan's is a nice contrast to the Clermont. Lots of space above your head, as opposed to the low, haphazard, black-painted basement ceilings in the Clermont. A nice big low-seated central bar reminiscent of a diner, with spinny chairs and plenty of room. The servers/bartenders are actually friendly (I admit that the sometimes-rough staff is an integral part of the Clermont's character, but good service at night spots is rare and always a pleasant surprise). The rest of the clientele is also friendly. Oh, and, no naked fat women. After ordering my gin and tonic from a very good-looking and polite bartender, we noticed that the flawless rendition of "Rappers Delite" we had been listening to was coming from a middle-aged woman. That song is REALLY long, and I was impressed. But I was also kind of jealous, because rapping at karaoke is MY SHTICK. A little later, some guy approached my friend and me, and said "you look like a happy couple - this next song's from me to you." We are in reality not a couple, but we couldn't bear to burst this guy's bubble. When he got up there, he serenaded us in his great voice with this slow, empassioned ballad. Which was of course hilarious and awesome. We moved closer to the stage to listen. Although I had not been planning on doing karaoke, this guy's generosity had inspired me. I went and grabbed the binder when he had finished. The KJ was about to tell me that they weren't taking any more songs, but then they were like "We'll let you sing, you'll be the last song." They told me I had 5 minutes to pick, but I didn't need 5 minutes. I flipped straight to one of my staple songs, Nelly's Hot in Herre. They cracked up at me when I pointed to it. I then tried to get one of them to agree to do the girl part ("I am getting so hot, I want to take my clothes off..."). No one agreed to do this. Although I didn't get to actually check out the song list, it was a really thick binder, and the music thus far had sounded good to me. To be sure, it seemed like a different list from the karaoke nights I usually patronize, but honestly I get really sick of "Total Eclipse of the Heart" and "Sweet Caroline." Also, even though it was a Saturday night, it didn't seem like there was an hour long wait to sing, which is awesome. OK, so I get up on stage, and they start playing my song. Some tall guy took the second mike and backed me up by doubling me on the emphatic parts, which was AWESOME and made me feel like a legit rapper (although he did not do the girl part for me). I think there may even be photographic evidence of this. The funnest I've ever had singing "Hot in Herre," hands down - and, um, I've sung it a ton. After breaking it DOWN on stage, I felt like I had exercised my way to earning a nut brown crown at Zesto for a nightcap. We barely made it in time to hit the drive through. Mmmm. Great time.

a couple of years ago (back in 2013), i used to visit this location all the time. i haven't been there in a while, but here's my review anyway. this place is quite busy nearly every weekend...especially on "special occasion" sport nights (big fight nights, superbowl, etc). this is all good and fine, but good luck trying to find a parking space!! all in all, it's a cool place to meet a handful of friends for a few drinks and shit-talking...just know that this is a smoke-friendly bar (for you non-smokers).

    (3)
  • In My O.

This location is very busy with the young party crowd on weekends. Bouncer checks id at the door. Seat yourself to the bar, booths or tables. Live dj spinning latest hiphop hits. low lights to set a festive mood. Saturday is karoake night. Service is good . Friendly and attentive servers. Food is average. Nothing to write home about. But it is served hot. You may have to add seasoning to veggies.

I've been here for karaoke, bracket games, meet ups and more. It's a nice place to come and watch the game. They have a million TVs. Bart ending staff is awesome!!! Wings are awesome!!! Good healthy salad options. Love it!

Dugan's is a perfect after club eatery. Now we only had wings so I cant speak for anything else. I LOVE wings, theirs were flavorless. We ordered half lemon pepper and half mango habanero. Nothing to write home about. I have no real desire to go back unless I need food around 2am and I have had one too many drinks.

Fun environment. The staff sucks each and every time.....UGH! But the karaoke keeps me coming back. Funnny! My advice go to the bar. You will get help quicker.

Welp, if I cant say anything else, I can say at least they are better here than the location on Flat Shoals. Conveniently located on Ponce (unless its rush hour then yikes), it is a grest wing spot virtually right downtown. The lemon pepper are my favorite. Wings come in multiples of 10, and are roughly $1 per wing, and includes either celery or fries, and dressing. They have beer, lots of beer. And pitchers of beer. I usually spring for a $12 pitcher of yuengling. Service is pretty good, whether at the bar or a table. The restrooms were kept pretty tidy. I enjoy the giant projection screens to show tv/video. Tuesdays they have $2 drink specials. Im not a fruity or sweet/colors drinks guy, but they had them so it noteworthy. This spot has my approval.

We Came last night for some relaxation..and a drink. For apps we tried the fried catfish strips/ tenders ..& crab cakes (my first time). Vodka & cranberry..Overall everything was as good & greasy as expected at a sports bar. The bartender was inattentive..idk if it was because she has minimal bar tending experience or if she was just faded off them shots a male customer was supplying her..either way she really needs to improve or find a new gig. With the term bartender you expect a certain level of professionalism and skill. And to add on to horrible service, no one wants to be ignored. No one wants to be told "Hold on" (I had a question about the onion rings) especially when it was not even busy. It's a Wednesday night only 12-15 ppl AT the bar..& the other girl had half of them. My guy friend canceled our wing order and we went to Hudson Grille ..it's always good drinks & good food. He doesn't want to visit again but I doubt that girl will last long. It was our first visit, just don't go out of your way to come here, like we did.

Meh... Get real. My initial review was written based on a smaller sample size of going to this Dugan's for only a few months, but after three years and the majority of my weekend nights and a disproportionate amount of funds spent there, I've had enough, and here are my random thoughts about this place. None of the past karaoke DJ's nor much of my regular acquaintances still go there. Karaoke used to be on Friday and Saturday nights, but now it's only on Saturdays with the current DJ, and I can now only play a song on a CD for karaoke for $10. What the hell is that? UFC fight night sucks. Everyone likes karaoke better. The wings are halfway decent even though I'm sure it's not organic meat, but don't put ketchup on them. It's fake, corn syrup ketchup with red artificial coloring, but you still see morons ingesting it. I never ate there much. They play the same song list every week on Fri. and Sat., but most every place seems to play the same things on the same mainstream list. I've heard them all, and I'm sick of each and every "song". It's really toxic to male-female relations with all the hatred and violence in today's shitty "music". The women? Don't expect much. Bitchy, phone-obsessed, selfish, insecure, obnoxious- typical behavior from women today, but most guys still fall for them. They have been ugly lately, too. Hey, turn up, right? Don't expect people to be too smart around places like these. Most of the servers don't last long. It's a revolving door for wait staff. Almost every table isn't level and will wobble your drink into your lap. The roof was leaking all this last winter. The manager is kind of a DL faggot, and, oh, the guys that peddle snacks and candies in men's bathrooms in places like these make guys feel like they have to pay to pee. There are disputes between patrons and staff more often there than a lot of other places. On the positive side, most of the bartenders have always been great to me. Most everybody there knows me. I have fans that know me from karaoke. I had some fun up there. Beer is fair priced, but the shots are too expensive. The last straw for me going there was when one of their security dudes (who I've known is a savage ape since patronizing this place from the get-go) attempted to choke me out without being physically provoked- makes me think that the Dugan's security may have had a role in instigating previous fights I've seen break out there. I would think that a reputable establishment would fire or reprimand heavily an employee that assaults patrons, but with being so familiar with this place, it's all in a day's work. This place deserves 1 star because I feel like being a dick, but I'll give it 2 in order to save a shroud of my dignity, knowing how many hours of my life I wasted in this nasty little Ponce dive. Just like they come and they go, this is your Favorite White Boy OUT! for good.

This is the least ratchet of all the locations which is a great thing for me as sometimes I don't be in the mood for all that nonsense. Went on a Saturday-they do Karaoke on Saturdays. It was pretty entertaining. A few singers were just bluntly wrong for the songs they chose. Blues Brothers-Jail House Rock...come on! I think he was a sweet booty as his friends were egging him on. Take that mess home somewhere. Didn't eat the food, but it smelled divine so I will definitely partake in them next time. Drinks were well made and strong. Good vibes all around-Only possible drawback is parking can be bad so prepare to walk alittle but its still worth it!

  • Cindy E.

If you can park in the lot on a Friday night, I'm impressed. It's tiny and congested. I find myself at the Kroger down the slope. And that's dangerous. But all in the name of their most delicious chicken nachos. Those, and the karaoke bring me back whenever I'm in town.

  • Steve B.

Decent location in the middle of the metro. Inside is pretty congested. people on top of people. When it is packed, the parking is limited. The service is spotty, food is decent. There are better Dugan's locations in other parts of Atlanta. The music is pretty good here. The crowd catered to the old & messy (not grown and sexy) but old and messy. But a cool place to pre-game before you go to MJQ's or clermont. Grade: D

  • Antonio C.

The staff is great, the parking is very bad someone always block you and the managers are rude. For a manager to call customers bums is very disrespectful. I will never support this chain of bars again. If the mangers don't treat the customers with respect then I will not spend my money at the establishment.

I loved it here. I went for a Floyd mayweather fight and then I went on a Friday night. I loved both times. Meet great people and just lost the crowd. Just hate the parking.

I had really been wanting to check this place out for awhile so I ordered some wings for takeout. I cant speak much for the ambience at the bar or the other food cause I didnt hang out. The wings were ok though, just be aware the hot wasnt very hot at all so bump it up if you like a bit of heat with your wings.

I will NEVER go back to this place again. The service is horrible. The girl who sale the hookah in this place. Clearly she do not know how to set uo a hookah. We only had our hookah for 29 mins. Notice everytime we go an smoke. We will get water in ours mouth. We opened the refill cap. NOTICE the it was soooooooo burn. It was smelling like burn wood. Then when we showed her it. She had like stupid look on her face. This girl is selling burn out hookah. Oh yeah she using recycle circo bottle for her hookah.....lol It can make you very sick. Ask for the manager 4 times. He refuse to come out. The waitress, waiter danced all nite. Really didnt wait on any table. Our waitress when her song came on. Stop taking our money to dance to her song....OMG just can't with place. I see this place losing customer very fast....

Very good wings, and good service. The lunch specials are a killer deal. I have been to this bar on the weekends during football for wings and been the only white person in the establishment. This doesn't bother me, as the wings are tasty, but be forewarned.

This place could get 5 stars but the waitress we had was SUPER GHETTO poppin her gum leaning all on the table lmgao but she was nice and funny... My boyfriend and I along with his friend came on a friday night apparently they have karaoke the mc was super turnt up and he got some vocal skills!!! A lot of the singers had skills tho... The food was GREAT no complaints I had wings and fries DELICIOUS

I just moved into the area and was driving around my neighborhood on a Sunday scouting out new hangouts when I decided to go into the hair salon across the street to get my hair done before finding a place to watch football with some friends. I parked in the near empty lot behind Dugans and just started walking across the street when this crazed man (I'm assuming he was a manager/employee) sticks his head out the window and starts screaming and swearing at me, telling me if I park there he'll tow my car, he was extremely angry and aggressive just flipping the hell out when a simple "hey you can't park there" would have sufficed. Needless to say, that is not where I decided to meet my friends for lunch and to watch the game! Too bad I couldn't even make it in before I had a bad customer experience! I'd recommend meditation to him but I'm too much of a wimp to talk to him personally since he seems like he's the type to choke someone out! Lol! Maybe a nice big sign that's visible at the entrance of the lot would be a nice alternative to him having to interact with humans!

Definitely the spot where brothers on the down-low call home. And if you're a chick (whose clearly straight) be prepared to be hit on by at least 2-3 studs per hour. The food is not to be desired either. Fried crap that doesn't taste good even after you're good and drunk. I give this place a "meh."

Great Atlanta hang out, great lemon pepper chicken wings, cold beer, service a little slow but waitress are attentive. Overall good bar

We were starving on a rainy Saturday afternoon and I'm all about "giving places a try" but I left here in a internal rage...the waitress was attentive enough and our food orders were promptly taken and brought out. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak sandwich and the BF ordered the wings. Both dishes left much to be desired. Not sure how we got our food so quickly, but they could have put more love into our dishes. I would have posted a pic but we seriously picked over it. Next time we'll keep on drivin'!

  • Courtney R.

I'm sorry but karaoke night is extremely annoying. It's too loud and it lasts for too long. Honestly, karaoke should not exceed 1.5 hours in my opinion. It actually runs customers out of the bar unless you're already super intoxicated and then you don't care. My stay was short the last time I visited b/c I grew tired of the amateur singers. The food is alright but there are never any seats in the bar unless you arrive early and the parking lot is always full. But this is a cool spot to go to on a Sunday when you have nothing else to do.

    (4)
  • Miya T.

Love the karaoke and the host!!! Wings are amazing. Drinks are horrible unless you order basic beer. I ordered a shot of ciroc and got tequila. I explained to the server that it wasn't ciroc and she said yes it is as she quickly walked away. I'm not an alcoholic but I know how ciroc tastes, so I asked for a manager who smelled it. He took the glass away and brought me ciroc. The server was horrible. She was more interested in twerking on stage than serving her guests. Not practicing ageism but the older servers are better than the younger early 20's servers.

  • Danielle O.

Good food. Reasonable prices. Crowded as hell. A seat? Good luck unless on the patio. Possibly not seeing the same football game you want inside. Only reason they didn't score higher is bad parking in the back. Might get blocked in. Smoking inside is a no go. I enjoyed my food. True greedy woman style. Not a drinker. Karaoke every Sat @9pm is hilarious.

  • Jennifer N.

Went here on 4/5/2014 to watch the NCAA games. Great sports bar with music and Karaoke. The only negative would be the smoke!!! Cigarettes, Hookah and cigars. My hair stinks and my throat was sore when I left. Other than the smoke I had a great time. Parking is a tad bit tricky as well. You can park at Kroger however do NOT park at the liquor store next door. When I walked to my car, I saw several cars being towed. I will be back for the Karaoke.

Never again. I went on a fight night, and it was just not my scene. I'm still in my 20's and it was definitely a 30+ crowd. Music was extremely too loud, and it was all throwback music. My server was beyond terrible. He was striking out all night. On the bright side I did appreciate the drink menu (they serve a Bob Marley). The food was sub par and overpriced. Way too many fried food selections. I will never ever go back.

Last time at Dugan's was back in '97. Things have done changed, like all the flat screens. Has the bar moved too? Don't remember. Anyhow, the Koreans invaded Dugans on this night. My boy Freddie went up first, and did "Purple Rain." The place erupted, seeing an Asian cat do Prince, and Freddie got to have his Apollo moment. I went up a bit later, and was introduced as "Freddie's brother." I TRIED doing Stevie Wonder's "Just Enough For the City"... I say TRIED, because the truth is, I can't sing... I was so bad that I even made William Hung sound like Luthor Vandross... But everyone was nice. No one booed me for butchering a classic, like I deserved... Instead, I got a couple of tickets for free drinks... Good wings, good folks, good service... and the next time, I'll remember not to sing.

This is where I take people who really want to drink. I don't go for the ambiance or the crowd. I go because they serve my martini in two glasses. I get half in a martini glass and other half (really large halves) in a small plastic cup. I call it the unintentional 2 for 1 drink special. I've eaten there before, but it was greasy bar food, the kind you eat to ease the alcohol's effect on your stomach.

My first visit to Dugan's and I wasn't very impressed. The drinks were average and I did not order any food. The music was good, the DJ knew how to keep the crowd pleased.

Dugan's is great for fun and food! An urban environment, Dugan's proves to be a fun place to spend your evening. While most bars only offer typical "bar food," Dugan's has a wide variety of food ranging from burgers and wings to scallops and battered mushrooms. The food (trust me) is so yummy! I had the battered mushrooms and a shrimp quesadilla, and I can't wait to go back and eat it again! On Friday and Saturday nights, they have karaoke, which, trust me, is tons of fun to watch or participate in. The drinks are VERY strong, and fairly priced ranging from $6-$8, but they also have drink specials on various nights. My favorite is "Wine Down Wednesday" where you can go and pay $15 for one appetizer, and all the wine you can drink! Also, the wait staff was VERY friendly and helpful Dugan's gets my vote!

  • Tracy W.

I can get down with the best of them! Believe that people... This sports bar is mad chilled. If you want GREAT wings, very very strong drinks, awesome prices for both food and drinks...Then Dugans is your sport bar in Atlanta to watch the games, fights, and upcoming sporting events. They have karaoke on Fridays nights which is hilarious! Imagine women and men, dancing with cocktail in hand...what a site to see! Def good times, if you want to let your hair down (so to speak) and just be...relax, no worries and no stuck-up people around come here. Everyone in Dugans just wants to have fun and eat some good food. Check it out!

Dugan's is a nice place to chill out. Mostly and urban crowd. I have only been there on friday's with co-workers and I enjoyed watching drunks sing karaoke. I am strictly rating the hot wings as I have been on a mission to find the best wings in atlanta. Dugan's wings are some of the best I have had. The wings are a good size, not too small, not too large. I have tried the lemon pepper, hot and x-hot. Try the x-hot at your own risk, they are scorching hot (very good). Wings are not overcooked like other places around atlanta. Give them a try i'm sure you will enjoy them as much as I do. Most of the time I just get them to go. Just make sure you place your (to go) order with one of the outside waitresses because they can't hear inside and your order will be jacked up when you get it.

  • Blake B.

I've been to Dugan's twice, when I was already drunk and thought it would be funny. This place is really weird. Both times I went with several girls. Both times we sat at the bar. The bartender then proceeded to persist in convincing the girls I was with to take their panties off so he could hang them from the ceiling. Evidently he'd been very successful in this, as there were a ton of panties already up there. At another point, a friend asked where the restroom was and he told her and then said, "Be careful, I might follow you in there." Everyone was laughing, but it was weird. Dugan's is the kind of place that hangs neon signs in their window about their hot wings, if that tells you anything. The crowd that seems to frequent this place is a mix of sports bar types and "ATL ballers." We definitely seemed out of place here, but it was more funny than anything. They also seemed to charge more than average for their drinks, because the bill was huge at the end, and we didn't even drink that much. I'd avoid Dugan's unless you're in the mood for a good laugh and your friends don't mind being hit on extensively by weird, bald-headed old men.

  • Shonda K.

Gosh I hadn't been in Dugans since I worked at CHE back in early 2000. They have definitely made some renovations since then. The music was a good mix of hip hop and R&B with some karaoke sets mixed in. Some were really good (chick sounded better than Mary J Blige, which some may argue ain't hard to do lol) and some wouldn't be allowed to even sing in church. The drinks were super strong, waitstaff okay. I will say if you are a single woman this might not be a prime spot since there were many men who seemed to enjoy the company of other men (hint). Also me and my other half had some good laughs watching a few groups of white people come through the back door and almost trampled one another to getaway out of the front door. Guess they hadn't heard Dugan's caters to an "urban" crowd (hate that word). It will never be my Cheers but was an okay time.

Crowded and loud at 8p. Waitress had an attitude when I smiled and said excuse me. All I wanted to know was is this where I order take out. I understood she was busy, so I was patient and tried to be pleasant. Didn't make my experience there go well. Food ended up being decent.

I'm not sure why I've been here so much. I'm not a sports fan. Maybe because most of the guys I know are especially comfy here and constantly suggesting it as a spot to meet up. There's always a bunch of long faced men sitting around the bar, engrossed in one of the many games they display on the large screens. The food is forgettable (DON'T order the scallops!). They've always got some type of special--but please beware of the $15 Bottomless Wine and Appetizer on Wednesday. At first, it sounds like a great deal. But when your bartender tops off your Moscato like it's Sweet Tea and you can't remember how you got home, you realize Bottomless Wine is a BAD AND DANGEROUS idea. Other than that, Dugans is your typical neighborhood sports bar.

I love coming here. Ladies don't expect to come here and expect instant googly eyes coming your way. Nice place to eat, drink, watch a game.......I see soooo many obvious down low men here so don't expect to be noticed. Just enjoy drink up and be merry! (Responsively)

Some friends and I went here on Friday for a birthday and we had a great time. The karaoke was really fun. Good music, good entertainment, and the food isn't too bad either. The service could be a lot better though. Also, the reviewer who mentioned that there are a lot of down low men there was spot-on. Ladies don't come here expecting to get any attention... the guys are NOT checking for you. This is perfect for ladies night though!

Stumbled on this place because the MJQ concourse wasnt open yet...and we heard good music comin out of here so we walked wanted to check it out!! Very chill spot reminds me of one of my regular bars back at home!! Our server was nice and they had what I like to drink here so that was a big plus!! It was a Friday night and karoke night but it was fun...like I said chill and played some good music. But im 25 and noticed there was a bunch of older people in here...no big deal until I got hit on somebody thats old enough to be my grampa...seriously sweater vest and all that!! That was bad so we left after that!! But looked like a good spot to catch a Falcons game for sure!! I wouldnt go out of my way to come back but if I was in the area I would stop back by.

Dugans was one of the first spots I was introduced to in Atlanta. I initially was in love with the wings, but after going back lately, I am not so impressed. They have karaoke on certain nights, and great bar service. I always hit the one off Ponce, but I think I have been to all three of em in Atlanta. The drinks will sit you on that azz if ur not careful... Decent sportsbar though...

Been to many bars in my life, and this is the worst service I've ever seen. I sat at the bar for 90 mins and you would think that I was invisible. Don't go here if you actually want a drink.

Nothing special. This place wasn't all that packed considering that it was the weekend. The food was alright. I was a little disappointed in the wings but apparently they have some decent beer specials. I don't dislike the place but I'm sure there are sports bars with much better food and ambiance than this one.

People actually sing on karaoke nights. These folks are serious. Bring money for the expensive not so good drinks. Food offerings are fried and will cause a heart attack. Plenty of tvs to watch sports. Parking is limited.

Dugans is definitely a fun and nice place to chill out. Especially on karaoke nights which tend to be Friday/Saturday night. The wings are really good (I'd recommend the lemon pepper wings) but they also offer a good variety of things on their menu. Also be careful because some of their drinks will put you on your butt......

I'm surprised no one has talked about the karaoke at Dugan's yet! Karoake Nights are on the weekends and are a lot of fun (only if you or the people you are with participate, I suppose). I went with a big group of people after a failed trip to Birmingham (long story) and we had a lot of fun. Four or five of us sang karaoke songs and we also did the Soulja Boy and Cupid Shuffle dances -- with no shame, I might add!!! :-) Dugan's is that let-loose kind of place. The Virgin Strawberry Daquiri was DELISH and the lemon pepper, barbecue and hot wings, and fries, were really good as well. Not the best wings I've had, but good nonetheless. However, I do have to agree that this Poncey Dugan's is weird. I was turned completely off by the various bras and undergarments hanging above the bar and let's not even get started on parking. It is definitely one of those places where you can't really carry on a conversation, unless you want to continuously shout at whoever you're attempting to talk to. Not a date place AT ALL. Great place to go with friends and watch sports and act silly and eat some "All-American" food.

I had not been here since 2003, but was pleasantly surprised by the overhaul. More tv's/projector screens, open space, great paint job, and patio to boot. What was pretty impressive was the quality of the wings...still the tasty, crunchy, well-seasoned chicken I remember. Also, they have expanded the menu & actually serve some vegetables (the steamed brocolli is fresh). Several cons: smoking allowed and this place appears to draw an older crowd to their bar. I hear karaoke is good on Fri/Sat though.

  • Koku K.

Dugan's is fun. Great place to bring a group of people to watch the game and have drinks. When the weather's nice the patio is a good option. I've always opted for a table over the bar. Typical bar food, nothing spectacular. Nice and cheap. I'd consider this a first stop before you head on over to the party.

3.5 stars this rating is based strictly on the atmosphere and my experience. you should be counting your blessings Dugans, b/c if this rating were based strictly on your food, it would have been a 1. i went on a friday night and it was so much fun. we got there around 9 something and it was beginning to get pretty crowded. karaoke starts at 10. they have a really nice selection of songs. the drink menu has all of the regulars, nothing special. drinks average about $6-8. regular bar food: wings, burgers, sandwiches, chicken tenders, fries etc. the wings sucked here. the fries acme out cold as hell, the 1st and 2nd time. my friend asked for chardonnay and rcvd a champagne taste-a-like. i played it safe w/ a stella. anywoo, the food sucks, the atmosphere was great. FYI-they have hookah! and you can smoke inside *disclaimer-I've only been here for karaoke. i don't know what the crowd/atmosphere is like on a normal day**

Dugan's is a cool sports bar in Atlanta on Ponce De Leon. It's really a hang out spot that and a good place to meet up with friends for happy hour or a late night out. At Dugan's the alcoholic beverages and appetizers are decent. The menu is All-American serving up wings, burgers, fries, etc. Dugan's has indoor seating but my preference is the covered patio. The patio is great for people watching and enjoying a nice spring or fall breeze. If you're in Midtown and you just want to unwind, watch some sports or grab a quick bite to eat visit Dugan's.

    (3)
  • T. Murray -.

Check out Dugan's when you want to watch the big game around a ton of excited fans. The food is just something salty and saucy to munch on while talking trash with fans of the rival team. The spring and summer make this a destination for many Atlantans because of the outdoor patio. You can watch the ball game without needing a baller's budget, and sometimes that is just what you are looking for in a sports bar.

It was a Friday nite 7 yrs past, a spilled drink, a girl inching her man on, A swift right cross, dragging someone across the bar then throwing him over on the bartender's side, there were handcuffs and i needed an escort out. my last fight and one of many nites at Dugans... It took me a few months to go back so the bouncers didn't remember me but i made it back for the wings and beer. that's all that i need. Great spot to get a few drinks in and get ont he road to more docile things.

I come here a couple times throughout the year, they are open late at night during the week so if you're off work or even want to come on the weekends its a cool spot to go to. The drinks are very strong if you order the right one, sit at the bar and the older Caucasian lady (sorry I don't know her name) she's awesome and can recommend whatever kind of drink you want, and make it good. Of course you have got to get their famous wings. NO cover charge, and some nights they have karaoke. Fun times.

  • Vincent V.

I think Of Dugan's more as a hang out spot or jump off point for an evening than I do as a sports bar. The televisions and the games all seem like an afterthought in comparison to the drinking and the waitress watching. That's not to say it's a bad place to watch sports, just that it's busy and there's always a lot of background activity going on. Lots of big groups of guys on their sport bikes meet up here before and after rides.

Mmmm. Great time.

If you can park in the lot on a Friday night, I'm impressed. It's tiny and congested. I find myself at the Kroger down the slope. And that's dangerous. But all in the name of their most delicious chicken nachos. Those, and the karaoke bring me back whenever I'm in town.

Grade: D

The staff is great, the parking is very bad someone always block you and the managers are rude. For a manager to call customers bums is very disrespectful. I will never support this chain of bars again. If the mangers don't treat the customers with respect then I will not spend my money at the establishment.

I had really been wanting to check this place out for awhile so I ordered some wings for takeout. I cant speak much for the ambience at the bar or the other food cause I didnt hang out.

Fun times.

I give this place a "meh."

a couple of years ago (back in 2013), i used to visit this location all the time. i haven't been there in a while, but here's my review anyway. this place is quite busy nearly every weekend...especially on "special occasion" sport nights (big fight nights, superbowl, etc). this is all good and fine, but good luck trying to find a parking space!! all in all, it's a cool place to meet a handful of friends for a few drinks and shit-talking...just know that this is a smoke-friendly bar (for you non-smokers).

    (3)
  • Cindy E.

If you can park in the lot on a Friday night, I'm impressed. It's tiny and congested. I find myself at the Kroger down the slope. And that's dangerous. But all in the name of their most delicious chicken nachos. Those, and the karaoke bring me back whenever I'm in town.

Meh...

  • Whitney T.

Mmmm. Great time.

The wings were ok though, just be aware the hot wasnt very hot at all so bump it up if you like a bit of heat with your wings.

I will return for booze and ppl watching.

a couple of years ago (back in 2013), i used to visit this location all the time. i haven't been there in a while, but here's my review anyway. this place is quite busy nearly every weekend...especially on "special occasion" sport nights (big fight nights, superbowl, etc). this is all good and fine, but good luck trying to find a parking space!! all in all, it's a cool place to meet a handful of friends for a few drinks and shit-talking...just know that this is a smoke-friendly bar (for you non-smokers).

Meh...
