Best salad bar in Athens! Some items organic. Quality wild salmon available! Giant baked potatoes with generous toppings. Fast, friendly service. Reasonable prices. Free ice cream. Choices include real chocolate moose with dark chocolate chips for desert on salad bar.

So, this is the second time we have eaten here this week but today we waited 25 min for our food. Quality seems to vary from day to day. If you order something gluten free expect to see everyone who orders after you get served first. Feeling annoyed. Only had cheese on half of my sandwich. Manager did apologize and offer a free sandwich which I declined. Just looking for consistently good service. Product is good and tasty.

Let me start off by saying this was my first experience with Jason's Deli and probably will be my last. I went in to enjoy a pleasant dinning experience with my girl, only to encounter DIRTY tables, DIRTY floors and DIRTY stations. I myself am in the restaurant business so I know how it can be, however this was beyond what should be acceptable for a well known thriving chained restaurant. For the sake of this Deli I can only hope that conditions will improve in the future.

Came here with my 2 kids. The place was packed (lunch crowd). They had the kids sandwiches in the table in 4 min. Very impressive. Great fresh cut fruit salad and salad bar was full, stocked and delicious.

I've been eating here for years. Today I ran across insects in my salad. I brought one up to show the manager. She said "sorry". That was it. It didn't even seem that they walked over to toss out the mix. Gross. I'm not sure if I'll return. This was one of my favorite spots for a very long time.

Jason's used to be great; lately it's been going down hill!! Orders not made correctly; orders forgotten to be made; dining room filthy; salad bar empty....come on managers - make Jason's great again!!

Best salad bar ever! I go every Wednesday for what I lovingly call "happy yum-yum salad day."

  • Nathan P.

Best Jason's Deli I've ever been too! Clean, friendly service, great food! I love their Turkey Rubens. Perfect place to grab lunch in Athens. I also love how they use organic food and not use MSG and High Fructose Corn Syrup (since I'm allergic to HFCS). It's one of my favorite lunch places in Athens.

    I. LOVE. THIS. PLACE! The meat for every sandwich is ALWAYS loaded. I've tried almost all of their sandwiches (yeah, that big of a fan) and I gotta hand it to them...for the price, it can't be beat. I'm not sure if many people know this but you can "upgrade" your side to a cup of soup, free of charge *IF* your side originally comes with the choice of chips/steamed veggies/fruit...take the turkey wrap for example. It's under the "healthier choice" list of sandwiches and I always replace the side with a cup of french onion soup---yuuuuum. And since I'm not a "wrap" kinda gal, I always switch out the breads...to an onion bun or a croissant. I like that Jason's Deli is customizable when it comes to the type of bread I want, toppings, etc. The only reason why I don't give it my full 5 stars is b/c the bread doesn't taste freshly baked or w/e to me...big city bread sandwiches got Jason's Deli beat in that department. Oh, and not a big fan on their marinated chicken breast meat either---too dry. Everything else though, especially their pastrami, is a winner.

We ordered soup and sandwiches which were good but definitely not great. The turkey wrap was fresh but a little thin on the turkey. The ordering board seemed to only have their specialty sandwiches - I assume they have "regular" sandwiches too. I didn't know they had a salad bar and there was no price posted. Prices were OK, decent atmosphere.

I ate at Jason's mid-afternoon and it was moderately busy. It was my first time there, and I loved it! So many choices, so little room in my tummy! I momentarily considered the bulemic route so I could sample everything, but that's just gross. I can't even remember what I had because I was intoxicated with happiness over noshing here, but I know it was yum. The only thing that could have made it better was more comfortable seats. I like cushy seats, not prison mess-hall seats. (Not that I've ever eaten in a prison mess hall. Really. ) If I ever visit Athens again, I'll be sure to go back to Jason's. In the meantime, it looks like it'll be a while...but there's a nice view from Sing Sing, and I'll let you know how the accomodations are.

I am in love with Jason's Deli. Best salad bar in Athens. Consistently fresh and always filling. The sandwiches are great, but I opt for the salad bar every time. In a town with so many authentic restaurants, Jason's Deli is still near the top of my list.

Food is great, especially the salad bar, however, they tend to screw up orders... a lot.

Love it! Great *healthy* salad bar and free ice cream! win win! Soups and Sandwiches are great too. Great prices for what all you get.

I travel to Athens once a month on business. I make it a point to have lunch here every time. The salad bar has every imaginable item available. The variety of soup offerings is more than I have ever seen in a restaurant. For a deli, Jason's is an excellent choice.

  • Timber W.

I'm not quite sure what endears this place to so many people. My friends love the sandwiches and salad bar, but everything I've tried so far has proved mundane. I'd definitely choose another place to grab a sandwich.

  • April A.

Food is good. I love the free icecream! Their online ordering doesn't match what they offer when you call. Online orders u get two choice sides, when u call Togo, they give u one choice, ...chips

Tired of the usual college town fare? Your body hankering for a "healthy" alternative? Check this place out! Fresh salad bar, yummy soups & sandwiches, and of course -- tasty, freshly-brewed Sweet Tea! Their mini-cornbread muffins are heavenly.
