This is a great spot to grab some drinks after work, eat some wings and watch a game. It typical bar food. Just know that you aren't going here to get a romantic high class steak dinner with great ambiance. Its a sports bar. When you walk in the door all of the table areas to the left and in front of the door go to the newer servers. If you aren't patient with someone who isn't fully experienced, don't sit there. The experienced servers get the tables by the bar areas and pool table sections. If you dont want kids around your sports/guy time, dont come here on Tuesdays. Kids eat free.

*** 3.5 Stars*** I'm a regular at Ale House but hadn't been in a few weeks. Came in recently after doing some house projects late into the night on a saturday to our luck (or so my wife thinks) ale house was open AND they were showing the UFC 189 fight. The ale house in alpharetta was busy but not suffocating as i've seen some ale houses in florida. Although it may seem counter-productive for the restaurant, i really enjoy having space and not having to feel like a sardine. The hostess was very cordial and sat us down immediately. We were starving by 10 pm so after 5 min of looking over the menu we were ready to order. The waitress came by immediately and took our drink orders as well as the appetizer and main course order. She put the chicken nachos in before the meals so it worked out perfectly when the food came. Besides the chicken nachos($11) my wife got the 12 oz ribeye ($15), i got the osso bucco ($16), and my buddy got the osso bucco as well. The drinks came out promptly and after 7 min or so the nachos followed. I was impressed they switched to a larger diameter plate in order to get maximum cheese and chicken coverage. I can't complain they were better than i remembered. Dinner followed shortly after. My wife's steak was cooked well and the sides were done correctly. The two osso bucco's looked great. Although mine did have a slight issue. The outside was hot to the touch but the inside was ice cold. If i hadn't been satiated by the chicken nachos this would have been a bigger issue. But still it was a bit disappointing that I had to wait for them to re-fire it. By the time it came back i just asked for a box to go since I was already full and didn't' wanna stuff myself. *****3.5 star****** Overall 3.5 stars for Alpharetta Ale House. Quick and friendly service, good food when it comes out correctly and always sports on the tvs (including UFC). you can't go wrong with anything on the menu really except perhaps the "low cal" options. I really wanted to give it the full 4+ stars but it comes in at a solid 3.5.

Sat at bar and ordered a glass of water. Looked at menu. Put menu away. Sat at bar for 10 minutes trying to get a servers attention. Most were chatting with a manager at far end of bar. Eventually waved my arms around. Server who had been cashing out the till 5 feet from me asked if I had any questions. I dropped a buck on the bar for the water and left.

We show up with our party expecting to watch the University of Miami game. Guess what? They don't have ESPN3. What sports bar does not have at least all the ESPN channels. All the other sports bars including my home TV service has this channel. We will be hesitant on returning not knowing what is playing or not.

Love the mountain melt!! My tenders weren't sauces well but it was still great after I got a side of hot and garlic sauce! Got buckets of bud for $8.95. Only .95c more than the pitcher but more beer!! Great place. Playing trivia!!

Came here in the late afternoon on a Saturday and had a real enjoyable meal. The layout of the restaurant is very nice. The inside is spacious with a large bar and plentiful screens throughout playing a variety of games. There are large windows and a patio area outside. The beer offerings are above average, with several local craft beers on tap in addition to the usual beer offerings. I had an IPA from a brewery in Decatur. The menu was very good, with a pretty large variety of dishes, but it wasn't too overwhelming. It had enough choices to meet every taste, from some healthy low cal options, to full entrees and then burgers and sandwiches. I opted for the Big Red, one of their signature dishes, a chicken sandwich with a couple of cheeses and a buffalo style sauce. The chicken breast was big and crunchy on the outside and moist and tender on the inside. It was a good choice, and I opted to replace the regular fries with sweet potato fries for an extra 95 cents. They have an ice cream pie with Oreo cookie crumbs and Heath bar filling that I couldn't resist. If you want a treat, you have to try this ice cream pie that they call Cap'n Jack's Buried Treasure. It's real tasty with the combination of the ice cream, cookies and candy bar filling, and the hot chocolate fudge that surrounds it. Service was good and prices fairly reasonable, except for the IPA, which was a little pricy. I would definitely come back here next time I can drive over to Alpharetta.

So my four stars is "Yay! I'm a fan" for the LOADED CHEESE FRIES! I typically sit at the bar, and the bartenders are all pretty attentive. I have never had any real complaints up until our last visit when our waitress decided to kind of forget about us. Our food was delivered by someone else and we sat for more than ten minutes waiting for her to come back to us because my fiance's sandwich was not made correctly. She went to the table just beside us four times within this period, not once acknowledging us or hearing our calls to her. The manager who came by to check on us as normal was extremely helpful as soon as she heard we had been waiting. She fixed the sandwich order and without us asking for anything, she offered to give my fiance another beer on her. It was very nice of her to help and offer us more as a concession. Ale House is pretty standard across the south. I will always go back because their cheese fries are a part of my life! :)

Sunday night. Bartenders and staff friendly enough. Late at night before closing so bathrooms were gross. Long Island was okay. Def enjoyed their outside Patio. Where they obviously had a busy day because it was kind of filthy...

What seemed like just another sports bar surprised us with some good eats. This was our first visit here and we were impressed at the interesting selection of meals on the menu. Forget the burgers. We went with something a little more adventurous. My lovely wife went with the fried scallops meal along with a big baked (baked, not microwaved) potato along with some flavorful cole slaw with a delicate sweet and sour balanced dressing. I opted for the seafood mac and cheese which was full of shrimp and scallops amid five cheeses. Fantastic. The garlic bread that came with it was a let down as it was flat and smothered in some orange-colored spread. The service was fast and friendly, lots of big screen TV's and the prices were reasonable.

Time & Date of visit: Wednesday 9:37 pm, 8/27/14 Party Size: 4 Location/Ambiance: Sports bar like setting, with a multitude of tv's along the walls and bar area covering various games and events. Tons of booths through the restaurant. The lot is shared with Main Event and Sams club. Service: Our server was fairly attentive. We did have to flag down another server for refills as she would go missing at certain times. She also put in the wrong order for one of our guests which had to be put in again after all the other entree's were brought out. She also forgot that I had a half sweet and half unsweet tea and kept refilling my glass with sweet tea. Plus side, she did give me the option of free up sizing my glass of bluemoon for the same price. Food/Beverages: * Sweet tea $2.59 - half sweet and half unsweet. Mildly sweet. * Blue Moon $5.95 - 23 oz from tap. Solid, as expected. * 35 shrimp scampi $12.95 - The pasta was cooked al dente. The accompanying sauce was a little bland and I had to season a bit with dashes of pepper and salt here and there. The size of shrimp, I would guess are of medium size variety when cooked. This dish sits a little heavy after, but a good option if you're hungry. I was stuffed after devouring it with a few pieces of noodles left. Total Bill w/ Tip & Tax: $28 Summary: This place reminds me of a less divey, slightly more grown up version of Barnacles. The food and beer is slightly better with certain daily specials. Decent place for a beer, ok grub, and catching a game with friends. Service is a bit spotty. Just try not go to close to closing time.

Server told me shrimp were fresh, brought in each morning from the coast. Came out, they were your traditional frozen shrimp, inside cold, outside crunchy, soggy between. My wife got a steak that was bland and boring, not a drop of seasoning. Server was slow as molasses running uphill in December. Took 20 minutes just to get check. Nope. Just nope.

Stopped here after a movie for a quick drink while we passed time for our Top Golf reservation. It was surprisingly empty for a Saturday night. I ordered a red sangria which was tasty. My bf ordered some drink with crown royal apple in it and it was pretty good too (of course I had to get a sip of it). Our waiter was nice. Service time was good. Only food item we got were fries which were fries. We had to leave in a hurry because we got notification that our bay was ready at Top Golf.

The drinks are watered down I ordered a "chill" shot and it tasted like water. Afterwards I was told chill is a lame term for a weaker drink and was told they couldn't do anything about. Our waiter was cool but the manager was being redundant about the situation. Food was ok (compared to my gf) overall for my first experience I wasn't completely satisfied.

I've been here twice now. The first time we ordered the chicken nachos. They were dry and flavorless. This time around I ordered the cheeseburger flatbread. It is delicious!!! Our waiter Justin was really helpful and had us laughing the whole time!

We came on a rainy night for dinner. Entrance was slippery and they do not have a rug before the door but you finally see one when you are in front of the host which is inside the restaurant. Host was nice and greeted us and immediately find us a table right in front of the bar. The restaurant had 2 tables with customers when we arrived and the bar was 40% full. We ordered some soft drinks and water and 2 cups of clam chowder, but we sent them back to reheat because they were cold, since I tried it and it was really watery and salty I decided to switch to the soup of the day (cream of mushrooms) thinking it will be fresh, well I was wrong, the soup tasted like a knorr or Maggie packaged powder cream of mushrooms, nasty!! The soup was brought by the manager and he apologized for that! We also ordered chicken nachos and a burger that I requested medium well, but it came totally killed well done and no flavor what so ever!! The nachos: OMG!!! Horrible!! A huge amount of bagged tortilla chips with 2 tablespoons of a salsa (no flavor) and 1/2 a cup of sour cream... The cook was trying to give us a heart attack with that amount of cream?? Once food arrived my husband ordered a beer that after 10 min of seen the bartenders playing around in front of us, never arrived!! The manager was seating at the bar conversing with other client and our server was seating in the next buzz checking out the menu and moving from buzz to buzz, bartenders were loud and playing a game We had enough, we didn't want to be there any more. My husband approached the manager brought him aside and requested we wanted to leave after explaining how terrible the service was, we apologized 5 more times for all. I will never go back there, I will not recommend this place not even for a drink, a beer after work or a night to watch a game !!

Standard pub food, service was robotic and chain-like... nothing above average. It was a good place to stop for a quick bite to eat. Nothing fancy, but it's a sports bar so I wasn't expecting too much.

Gave this place a try and it was amazing. I got the pork shank with mashed potatoes and green beans and I was shocked by how much I loved all of it. Their gravy is delectable. My husband got a chicken sandwich which was alright, but not the best. Their mixed drinks are pretty strong for only being 6 bucks. I can't wait to come back here and try something else

I have eaten here a few times. Primarily to get something to go. The burgers are good! They are prepared from ground sirloin. Recently I ordered a half-rack of ribs to go. They were not smoked however, they were seasoned well and tender. The fries and cole slaw were not extraordinary, but good.

On my second time here for a light dinner with co-workers to watch the game, my car was broken into and the robbers took my laptop bag and everything in it. I know this is not the restaurant's fault since it is very brightly lit and people are walking in and out constantly. However, it still gives me a bad vibe. Please becareful not to park too far away from the actual restaurant and come out time to time to check on your car. I heard that it happens occassionally here according to the cop. This is not a bad neighborhood but apparently bad things happen here.

The food here was okay. The quality is typical bar food quality: average. I wished they had more nibble food though because I don't want to pay $10 or so for something when I just want something light in my stomach to ease the alcohol. There are the typical appetizer selections, but it could be expanded. I am surprised they have a good selection of drink specials. When I was there the other night, the tequila shots were $2, and they were in a large glass, not the usual shot glass size. Even my guy coworkers made a comment about its size. There was other specials, but my mind stopped at tequila since I just wanted to down some celebratory shots with my coworkers. The mixed cocktails were really watered down. I usually like these types of drinks to sip on since I am not a beer nor wine drinker, but these cocktails could have had more alcohol in it. There are pool tables available, televisions with the sports channels turned on, and a juke box as distraction mechanisms. The environment was lively with people chilling and laughing the business day away. Folks here were mostly people from the nearby business and companies. They are aged late 30's and up (on average).

We like this place well enough to keep going back. We've been here half-a-dozen times, and might frequent it more if it wasn't a 30 min drive via hwy from where we live. The service here has generally been bad. Almost always a problem with our orders. Our most recent visit also resulted in big waits between table visits from our assigned staff member. They were not wildly busy (no wait, empty tables), but we wouldn't see her for 10+ minutes or more at a time between check points (initial drink order, appetizer order, drinks went empty and sat for half our meal, bring us our freakin check so we can leave(!), and so on). Out of our party of 4 on this visit, 3 of the 4 entree orders we made were wrong at some level. I always order a zinger mountain melt minus scallions and medium sauce - I got a gigantic empty looking silver platter with burnt cheese stuck to it, some fries and the zingers that had not been tossed in sauce, no scallions, but also no bacon! They've apparently changed the plating of this; it's STUPID big and made it look scant - STOP DOING THIS NOW. It was very obvious mine also sat in the heated pass and burned it - plus the ranch I ordered with it went sour because it got hot. Since we ordered two zinger mountain melts, the other one had a ton more fries and was also the only entree at the table made correctly. Another in our party ordered the o-ring appetizer, it never came. When her entree came it was supposed to be a side of coleslaw and she got o-rings and no coleslaw. And the 4th in our part ordered fish tacos and coleslaw, and got fries. That being said the food is usually good, once all of the problems are fixed. I wouldn't call it spectacular and I'm sure there are some items on the menu, which is very expansive that might not be great, but we have yet to hit something truly bad. -2 stars for consistently bad service and ordering errors - and please go back to the previous regular plating of the zinger mountain melt. Whatever we got on this visit with the giant silver tray-table sized platters was just dumb looking.

Ordered the 12oz. Ribeye and a baked potato w/ green beans. I could taste that the steak went from frozen to on the grill. Baked potato was under cooked and they served with a little cup of butter and sour cream...plus it was wrapped in foil. The greens were undercooked and slimy. The beer was good...they have good beer.

We came for the prime rib special, $12.95 on Thursdays. The flavor of the steaks was good but they were pretty raw even though they had gotten browned sitting under the heat lamps. The baked potatoes were also barely cooked through. You might be better off to come later when the meat and potatoes have had more time to cook through. Not a fan of margarine that comes with the potato; nothing trumps real butter. Prime rib is typically fatty but these were about 30 percent fat so not such a great deal. The waitress brought a little side of jus for my companion but none for me. She said sometimes it came with jus; sometimes not. What? Go get the jus. She also had no idea how prime rib is made and said it would be grilled. When we called her on that she said she really had no idea how it's made. We sent her to the chef for clarification. The cole slaw side was very good.

Got to love Millers On top of having great drink specials, their food is really tasty. Everything (No joke, seriously everything) is great. I've gone from pasta, to sea food, to quesadillas, and its all delicious. However, I would like if they had some small plates for the lone solider who just wants to coat their stomach for massive booze consumption. The only time this place can get kind of iffy with service is when the UFC fight or any other big event is on, and to be honest it happens to the best so you can't fault them too much.

  • Jennifer H.

They have daily food and drink specials. The food has been great every time I've come. The steak sandwich is hands down my favorite item on the menu. The service on the dining side has always been slow. Slow to order, drink refills, food to come out, and paying the tab, always. BUT, whenever I've sat at the high tops by the pool tables predominantly drinking, the service has been fine. Fun environment, more well-lit than most bars in the area. Definitely geared towards the sporty crowd. Not my go-to, but I wouldn't turn it down.

Not a fan!!! Went here on a Friday night with my BF. Place was crowded but not horribly so. I think they need to decide if they want to be a restaurant or a bar. The bar is prominent and you have to pass it to get to the dining area. We sat at the bar and had the pleasure of watching children from the dining area literally run around the bar and the rest of the building. Why would you take your child to a bar? I will never understand.... Anyway, the bar stools have no back. That's an issue, its horrible uncomfortable to have NO back support. I asked for a coke and the perky little bartender says "sure, is Pepsi ok?" to which I responded, "uh, no". Pepsi? Really? What do you do when someone orders a rum & coke? There is a difference so I sat there with my companion and drank cheap lemonade for the hour that I could stand the running children and uncomfortable bar stools. There are tons of tvs but unfortunately they're all pretty small. I can't imagine this would be a good place to watch sports, certainly I've been to better. Decor is really dark and 1975ish.

Alright. Not good not bad. Ordered the 35 shrimp fried. it was OK. The service was great, although I wasn't pleased at first with my food the waitress and manager worked hard to please us. I will definitely visit again to get a better impression. One thing for sure the captain jack cake is great. I say give it a try.

Mediocre at best. My "mojito" was so sweet and poorly made. Your typical road house drinks. My friend ordered the Mac and cheese (which she liked) but the waiter spent all this time convincing her to get it without mushrooms which she did and they put mushrooms in anyways. Lastly - the seats in the patio are so small and uncomfortable - sit inside. I'd go back only for he 32 shrimp which were pretty good.

If you want to eat, and watch a game, this isn't a bad place. If you want to drink, STAY AWAY from THIS PLACE!!!! The bartenders are inexperienced, and look to have just graduated from bartender's school. The place is very, VERY skimpy with the shots, and even the mixed drinks seem like virgin drinks! The drinks are weak, but the prices are strong.....Terrible!!!!!! Not to mention, it seems like the local police waits for folks to come out at night... BEWARE! It's just not worth it! Bottom lines, if you wanna eat, go ahead. If you wanna drink, STAY AWAY!!

Overall I like Miller's - the food is pretty decent and they have some good specials, The biggest issue I have is S-L-O-W service. I've been there at least 8 times and normally get seated fairly quickly. However, getting food and/or drinks can be a bit slow at times. The worst seems to be AFTER you have your food and your waiter disappears for long periods of time. The last two times I was there, I had to wait ridiculous periods of time to close out. The last visit, the waiter apologized for making us wait so long - picked up my credit card, and then disappeared yet AGAIN. Very frustrating! Also, on my last visit, the hostess was nowhere to be seen when we came in. We looked around for a bit and finally seated ourselves. She finally came to the table and asked rather pertly if we had seated ourselves. I said yes, because there was no one around to seat us when we came in. She had a condescending attitude and said we should have waited for her.

I wish I had gotten my waitress' name! She handled a table of about 5 or more of us attentively and always made sure we were okay. She knew her menu items well and was extremely personal. She was sweet, well kept, and knowledgeable. The only reason I gave three stars was for the quality of food. I ordered the chicken tenders, the meat was fairly dry and the breading-to-tender ratio was way off, overly crunchy. My husband also ordered the loaded french fries which could have been made at home $5 cheaper. The quality of fries were average, with melted, bagged cheese and scallions on top. Was an "average" meal, nothing out of this world. Typical bar/pub food, but not to be confused with the great service.

I'm never experienced such slow and bad service before this visit. This is my second time here and we sat at the bar. The bartenders were Katie, Nikki, and Thays. For having THREE bartenders on a Wednesday night, you'd expect good service. Don't get your hopes up. The only good thing about Miller's was the manager taking care of our friends's food when they didn't like their steaks. I will never come back here. Please get new bartenders.

I've been riding by this place for years as I zoom through the parking lot to Sam's. Quite frankly, I figured it was a really loud beer hole with subpar food. However, I stopped in yesterday and found I've been missing out. Nice menu with a good variety of options for any palate. They've pretty much covered all the bases without being overwhelming. I'm not a beer person, however I found the cocktail list to be pretty good and the prices are awesomely inexpensive. Each day they offer a $2 cocktail, and they don't skimp on the pour. $10 can go a long ways! Our server, Jake, was friendly and pointed out a some good entrée prospects. He timed the food and drink delivery very well, so not too slow and not too fast. Food was great and we were offered a dessert on the house. Overall, we had a great experience and I'll be a repeat customer. We ordered Thai Chili Zingers ($5, lightly battered and fried crispy with your choice of sauce....mmmmmmmm), 30 fried shrimp, and a burger.

This is hands down a sports bar over a restaurant and one of the better ones in the area. Pretty expansive seating circling a center full bar. They've added 2 pool tables to the mix and have massive (50"+) tv's lining the entire perimeter of the facility and the bar as well. Large patio and they allow cigar smoking. Miller's is packed out year round for all the various types of sports. Football, Baseball, Basketball, Boxing, MMA, etc. all have very large draws and focus at Miller's. They certainly provide great viewing for the big events. This location also stays open fairly late every night, so if you're looking for a post midnight place to hang they will certainly accommodate. Servers here are very young, can be a bit inattentive, and the wooden booths / bar stools are a bit uncomfortable after a while, but to me this is a bar and not so much a sit down restaurant the other reviewers wrote it up as. As some others have said, if you're looking for a more traditional restaurant experience, look somewhere else. Food here is pretty good for a sports bar and plenty of options from raw oysters to steak and all the typical wings and things in between. Definitely not pub quality, but lots of drink specials and trivia nights too. They have free Wi-Fi and it has a fairly decent draw during the day M-F as well. As a sports bar, I find this location better than your typical Taco Mac / Wild Wings places in the area.

Kudos to Miller's for being able to accommodate large groups and accommodate well! I went to a friendly anti-Valentine's day event (yes, it does exist!) at Miller's last week and our group made up of over 30 people. They were one of the few restaurants willing to accommodate us on the holiday when most restaurants said no. Not only did they hold a bunch of tables for us, they gave us great service and we had a fun night. The space is your average sports bar with TVs everywhere and from what I could tell, a good beer selection. The food is traditional American fare. If you go, allow yourself to splurge and get their French fries, it's just the right amount and is the right combination of fatness, crispiness, and softness (yum!). Also what was nice to see is for those of us who prefer wine, they had a decent list of choices. Great local and laid back venue to go out to.

Our service was really good. Her name was Kylie. We ordered salad spinach dip and the smoked fish dip. For our entrees we had the seafood mac and cheese a burger the ribs and the Orleans pasta. They have a ton of drink specials that change daily and everything we had in our party of five was pretty tasty. I will be coming back. I can imagine this place gets packed during big sporting events. There are several small tv's but some of them are big. I guess it depends on what you are wanting to watch.

The drink deals are nice, and so are the lunch, dinner, and sunset specials. The half rack baby back ribs are flavorful and fall off the bone. The fish tacos are ok. Just ok. The fajita was pretty good: lots of lettuce, salsa, cheese, and sour cream sides. The turkey burger was average, as well as very salty. The star was probably the chicken nachos. $10.95 for a large platter of tortilla chips, a cheese blend (real cheese for once...), yummy marinated chicken, crisp lettuce, pickled jalapeños, sour cream, and salsa. Delish! My only semi complaints are the flimsy below average fries and slow-ish service. Will be back!! :D

Service was right , except the staff forgot items on 4 different occasions. If you have a party over 4, it'll be tight; they don't have larger tables. Food was not good. Spunky chicken, old, old, old lettuce for salads. The zingers were overlooked. Would not go again.

Met here last night with a friend and I will come back. Large beer selection (not a big as other places...Mac) and a full bar. Friendly bartenders and servers, TVs everywhere and pool tables in the back. We ordered the Nachos which were not very good but they were still edible. Every night of the week they offer different drink specials and $5 Miller Lite pitchers all day/every day. They offer the pay per view UFC Fight Nights here and I think it would be a great place to catch the fights. I look forward to retuning and will review the food on my next visit.

This would be a 2 star review if it weren't for one mitigating factor: convenience. First, the bad: the seating is uncomfortable and crowded. The service has frequently been slow and extremely slow. This is for both the kitchen and the wait staff who take forever to bring a refill and do not check on their tables in a timely manner. Nor is their attitude cheerful or helpful, but more of a tolerance of your existence and doing just enough to prevent your anger. The food is decent and there are some hits and misses, like french fries being crispy on one visit and limp heat-lamp victims the next. But overall the quality is decent and the price is quite good which makes for a good value. On rare occasions you'll get an exceptional waitress who is very service conscious. And the best feature is the hours that they keep, and the location is convenient for a meal after 9PM on a weekday. Although I'm not a sports fan, there are many TV's scattered about with a good variety of programs. The music is also noticeably enjoyable. They have a decent sized covered patio, which the cigar smokers will find handy. As a non-smoker, I try to avoid it but it's often the only decent option for a group. It's also better for conversation as the interior's hard surfaces make talking difficult. So in all, the pros outweigh the cons to make this an OK place.

Well this is the third non successful attempt and our last at Miller's Ale House. The first time we waited on our food forever and the server just kept disappearing. The second time food took forever to come out and was cold. They also forgot some stuff and all the food came out at the same time appetizers and all. The third time one order came out and they forgot the second order. Had one back in NJ and it was 1000% times better. We loved going there.

I really like this place. Great environment for having a beer, watching the game, or playing pool. The beer list is super and the food is well...bar food...and it lived up to my expectations. I'd definitely recommend it and go again.

The overall experience here is not good at all. Bad service. Seafood combo was gross. My dirty martini wasn't dirty. Will not be coming back here.

Always good!! Zingers are great, the Mahi is great, the pasta's are great, the Crab is great, Burgers & Wings are great, the beers are great. This is a great restaurant chain. I usually go to this chain when traveling on business.

We used to love this place. Went there this morning and got the worst service. Had to wait on everything. Waiter missed a 25% tip which is the usual for me. And the place was dead... Well be back but not with that waiter.

I liked this place. The menu was simple and straightforward. Plenty of choices. Good variety of brews to choose from. No smoking inside. Smoking outside in their patio area. Staff is friendly and food was pretty good.

My opinion on Miller's Ale House might be colored slightly by the fact that it's just down the street from my office, so more than a few work functions and informal get-togethers with colleagues have ended up here. Frankly I find this place depressing. Some of my colleagues like it because the drinks are cheap, but it has absolutely zero ambiance. It's just sort of a large, bare-walled bar that serves inexpensive booze. If that's what you're looking for then Miller's likely won't disappoint. It would be a good place to go get hammered on Bud Lights if you didn't want any distractions. I don't recommend eating at this establishment. The menu consists of typical greasy bar food, reheated or deep fried slop. There have been a couple of times I've tried choking down their "zingers" or "loaded fries" in a fit of desperation, and it's always ended badly. The staff is generally ambivalent. They tend to be cordial but there's no sense of urgency so you'll wait around a good bit for your drink order. If I had my druthers I'd stop in any of the neighboring restaurants before returning to Miller's. But then, it's never really my choice and I always end up back here at least once a month or so. That being said... another Bud Light please. You know. Whenever you get around to it.

Great drink deals and wonderful service! We split the chicken nachos...it was more than enough. The serving portion was HUGE!!! Prices are super affordable for what you get.

Don't go there for food. I have been there a few times and each time have come back disappointed with the quality of food and service. The beer deals keeps bringing me here but I don't think I'm going there again. The last visit was particularly bad - ordered a chicken lime salad with dressing on the side. Salad came 45 mins later drenched in dressing. The leaves felt like it was soaked in dressing for a while and picked up from someone's left over. The bill had stuff that I had not ordered or consumed. It took 2 attempts to get it corrected.

We went to Miller's because we heard that they had a decent beer selections and that they had affordable, good food. While I think that both of those things are at least partially true, I can't way that eating at Miller's was a good experience. For starters, we were seated on the patio and then promptly forgotten. After waiting almost 15 minutes, we went back up to the hostess to ask for someone to come take our drink order. About 10 minutes later a super lovely, polite woman came to take our drink order--she wasn't our waitress, though. She did help correct the fact that we had been waiting nearly an hour without menus. After waiting on our drinks for 10 minutes they finally arrived, and 10 minutes later, our food order was taken. The waitress was exceptionally snarky in letting us know that they didn't accept substitutions on sides, and told numerous people at our table that she wouldn't bring them drinks when they asked for them. Now, I understand that she was being sarcastic about the drinks--but her tone (after having been exceptionally inattentive for almost an hour) was unappreciated. It took almost 40 minutes for our food to arrive. When it finally did, the person who ordered the "35 shrimp" only received 28 and the seafood mac and cheese was lukewarm. We didn't have silverware. We ate our food quietly and made sure that as soon as we could find our waitress, we got the bill--we didn't even let her leave us with them, we handed her the cards so we could get out of there as quickly as possible. This was absolutely one of the least pleasurable dining experiences I've ever had--and with a ton of really fantastic food at restaurants with really great customer service in this city, I can't say I recommend going to Miller's Ale House.

We went there last Friday and there happened to be at UFC fight that night. They told us that we had to pay $10 per person including my 3 year old to stay in eat. I had driven over an hour away because my wife loved this restaurant and I had never been there. We just wanted to eat and drink. They were not very flexible. Needless to say, that left a terrible taste in my mouth and we will never be back!!! I would stay away from this place unless you would like to chance becoming insanely irritated for some stupid reason. 0 stars if I could!

We'd settled on going to Pappadeaux after disagreeing about every other place under the sun, but as we drove back that way he spotted Miller's Ale House and commented about how he'd like to try it sometime. I'm fairly certain he didn't think I'd be down for bar food after I'd scolded him for suggesting a chain (blasphemy!), but boy was he wrong. I'm always down to try pretty much any place I haven't been before and the parking lot was packed, indicating to me that it couldn't be a totally bad idea. Most times I'd consult yelp before going in, but last night I was pissy and tired from a long day of conference calls and other bullshit that I didn't even care. I was ready to put Wednesday behind us, relax, have a drink and get back home. Our server Carmen was awesome. She was there every time we needed her, but gave us the space we needed to talk about our days. There was no pressure to hurry and order and the drinks came right when they needed to. The boy ordered some fried seafood combo or something and the way he devoured it I'm guessing it was decent. I wasn't in love with the French onion soup, but I hadn't expected it to be mind-blowing or anything. I was at a bar. It was certainly good enough. Main thing I noticed - this place was suuuper cheap. Food and drinks. Couple that with the awesome service and I could totally see myself going back.

Millers has the feel of a bar that you can relax in jeans and a t shirt and shoot pool and drink beer. However most of the people I saw here were in ties and sport coats. So Im guessing this is the happening spot to be after work. The crowd is also much older then I expected. The food was ok at best, its a bar and I dont expect much coming from bars anymore honestly. I had the zingers, which are like boneless buffalo wings, not bad, not heavily breaded which was good. The ranch was alittle thin and runny for my liking though, but I know most people like it this way so point to them. Nothing much else to say here.

I didn't mean to come here but after waiting an eternity at another restaurant up the road, I left there and ended up coming to Miller's Ale House. I've never been here before. The first thing I noticed was that the parking lot was packed. They probably had four times the patrons as Pappadeaux's. The next thing I noticed is that it's a relatively blue collar crowd. The two pool tables hint at a late night sports pub. The bartendress had me hooked up in a minute. I ordered the 12 oz Prime Rib for $10.95. It came out perfectly cooked in about 10 minutes. It comes with your choice of a side item(mashed potatoes for me) and coleslaw. If you want beer, they have a very large selection. If you want cheep beer you will have to chose the Miller Brand beers. The lunch specials looked like good values too. I plan to try their lunch. The staff was very attentive, super friendly. Very on the ball. Maybe I would normally give this a 3.5 star review. But I gave it a little extra because they saved my evening from a horrible start at Pappadeaux's. Oh and don't worry about those grumpy reviews by people on GF Diets. :D

Miller's Ale House is our place to go for Team Trivia on Tuesday's! This place has a good crowd- usually 10-15 teams, and the questions are on par. The announcer, George, is very thorough and serious about his trivia. He makes sure no one is cheating, and is very fair with the scoring. Trivia starts at 8pm and usually goes till 10pm or so. It's always a good time. On to Millers itself. They have tasty bar food, and crazy drink specials. They always have someone on special and it's usually very cheap. Some of their pitchers are only $6 which is crazy to me (since in NYC you can't get a pitcher under $15 for the crappiest beer!). The service is usually pretty fast, and the food comes out pretty quickly as well. There are tons of high top tables and booths, so there is always somewhere to sit. There is a patio outside for smoking, so smoking is not allowed inside which is a benefit for sure. The parking lot is large too, so there is always somewhere to park. I *think* it's a florida bar, so on Saturdays it's probably packed with a bunch of douchebags, but I am not sure because I have never been to Millers during that time....I would caution you of that though...

Unless they have fixed it it was the smokiest bar pretending to be a restaurant I've ever been to in my life . Obvious owners are militant non smokers. If lighting up in the mist important consideration pick Millers. Did I mention it was horrifically smokey?

    - $5 Skyy vodka martinis, you can't afford NOT to drink. - steamed clams in the city are a rarity, nice to get my fix here. - $15 for twin lobster tails? Sure they were probably frozen, but it gave my kid a chance to try them for the first time. - the onl

This is my go to place for happy hour. Great drink specials (unless you're super picky) and decent food. Service is usually very good and there are lots of places to sit. My top food choices are: 1. 35 fried shrimp...yummy friedness! 2. Seafood quesadilla...cheesy goodness. 3. Potstickers...I always feel like this is my "healthy choice" 4. LOADED FRIES...have you ever seen a group of 5 girls devour a mountain of gooey fried potatoes in under 5 minutes...priceless! These are in no particular order, just some of my favorite choices. And, no, I don't eat them all in on visit. Just one or two for the table. I would say the biggest drawback is that 1) if there are children they are usually running all over and 2) smoking after 10. See you there any given Friday!

This place is just your average suburban bar - nothing more, nothing less. The food is good bar food, more seafood than most bars, but nothing really special. We used to go here on Fridays during lunch since my Catholic co-workers couldn't have meat. The fish and chips special on Friday is a great value, even though it's heavy on the batter, and the fries aren't that crisp. Now we go about once a month for happy hour because it's not smoky. They've got a good selection on tap, and good drink specials. Also, the place is well laid out, so there's lots of open space, and plenty of tvs if that's what you're looking for.

So, I came here last night, and I was surprised. It was my first time here and I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it wasn't that! I loved the atmosphere, very nice. Everyone was having fun and the place was really busy. Service was great, our server was very attentive. At one point she dropped a glass on our table and it shattered. I'm a bartender, so I know it happens. Within seconds there were people cleaning up the table and making sure we were ok. They brought us all new drinks and sat us at another high top. The food was excellent. We shared the fried clams, smoked fish dip, and the seafood, lobster and clam bake. It was all delicious! The only downside was the shrimp in the clam bake were not good at all. They weren't the high light anyway. The rest was delish. When we first saw the smoked fish dip we were unsure, but one try and we were hooked! It was yummy! All in all, it was an awesome experience. The drink prices can't be beat! I will be back here for sure!

Five Stars!!! The food here is excellent, the service is superb, and you can't beat the cheap beer! I mean $2.95 for a 20 something oz. Miller Lite? That's just awesome. I would suggest going Wednesday night for Late Night Drinkin' with Lincoln. 5 dollar drink deals all night. If drinking a few isn't your thing, that's cool, you can still go and get really great food at reasonable prices. Also consider that, despite what the name might suggest to some, it's a kid-friendly place, with: a kids menu, clean bathrooms, friendly servers, tv's (mostly sports), and a family restaurant feeling.

When I travel on business it is rare that I would go to the same place twice on consecutive trips, but I went to this place twice on the same trip so hopefully it helps clarify how cool this place is. My company likes to hang out here sometimes, but that's not the reason why I went back a second time. If I lived around here I would weight about 4000 pounds eating here, the food is good and the portions are generous. I had the steak, chicken wings, nachos and seafood platter (sharing of course with my colleagues). I love heat that is more than a salty taste, the hot wings are hot and very flavorful, a must for anyone who likes a little heat with their meal. The steak is good for a place that does not call itself a steak house. The seafood combo platter was fried, but was lite in nature which did not make my arteries harden when I ate the plate. The nachos are great and filling and the toppings are plentiful from first bite to last. Also this place has plenty of beer on tap, the staff is friendly, and also for the trivia buffs there is a trivia contest at least every week.

I have been here around 10 times, so this is a pretty fair review. Like others have mentioned on this review page, don't expect more than what it is. It's called the MILLER Ale House for a reason. Drink Miller when you get here. They have great prices on other drinks as well, such as Captain Morgan drinks, but drink the cheap miller. I know I sure do when I visit. They have some pretty decent food deals as well. The appetizer sampler feeds a buck and costs little. They have all you can eat crab legs one day during the week, I'm thinking Wednesday, but call to make sure. I will go back. I think I am going this Saturday. I hope to see you there.

This place reminds me of my FAVORITE place in DC cheap beer and good food. Especially their seafood (which is the second love of my life it is a photo finish with my husband for first though) I have ordered various seafood options at this place and have yet to be disappointed. Almost all of the entrees are under $10 (which includes their pound of snow crab legs) and you can modify your meals any way you want. I wanted snow crab legs and fried clams no problem and it still cost me less than $15 for both. Don't get me started on the crazy drink specials! Pitchers of beer for $6?!? My husband will be pleased not to mention they have over 20 televisions perfect spot to chow down on some food and watch the game. Just make sure you top it off with their capt'n jack' s buried treasure. OMG just typing that made me want to drive to Alpharetta and have that alone for lunch. Watch out Miller's Ale House I'll be back!

Went here to catch the football playoffs. Called ahead to put our name on the list which was the way to go. By the time we got there, we were seated after having one cocktail each at the bar. Two 7 and 7's were only $8.95! Wowza, cheap and nice pours too. Atmosphere was typical pub. Plenty of televisions to see the game from any angel. Not too loud which is a plus when you actually want to watch the game AND talk to your friends. We ate during the time wings in medium sauce (good), rack of ribs (yum!) they actually fell off the bone and were tasty. I'm not typically into bar food, but this food was pretty good.. After endless rounds of drinks and food, the bill was only $58 bucks or so -- SCORE! Hint: If there is a big game, call ahead. It seems too they also do assigned seating at the bar.

Good bar food. Don't be lured into their steak specials -- they are awful! Think Waffle House steak, but thicker. The normal bar food is always as expected and the wait staff is friendly and efficient. A good, quick go-to for a regular weekday night.

I go to Miller's for the UFC fight nights. I like their TV layout, and you've got a good view from most anywhere in the place. We usually start out with the boneless wings ("zingers") with sweet thai chili sauce. Normally have to ask for extra sauce because they skimp a bit on that, but they taste great otherwise. I'm also a fan of their fried clam platter. Yaknow. Just simple good bar food. The drink specials are great, in fact it is the reason we choose to go here for UFC nights. Service has always been fine for us! All in all, Miller's Ale House doesn't stand above the rest of the suburban bar hangouts, but it is a fine choice if that's what you are looking for.

  • Brandon J.

While the food is decent here, the drink prices can't be beat. This is definitely the place to go after work to have a drink. Every day their prices seem to be unbeatable. To top that off they run drink specials seemingly on a daily basis to make their great prices even better. I don't go anywhere else in the area when I want a drink from a bar. The prices here are simply too good to pass up. Wednesdays are "Drinkin' with Lincoln" nights - $5 buys you 5 cold bottles of Miller products in a bucket. Every day they have 22oz Miller draught products for $2.50.

Average but great drink and seafood specials. I have never had bad service and there is a ton of seating and a game area for kids. You really can't beat $10 for two dozen shrimp and $5 for a pitcher of beer, can you?

Miller's Ale House gets 3 stars from me because it is a 3 star kind of place. My Toyota Camry isn't going to get a 5 star-fireworks review either, but that doesn't mean it doesn't serve a purpose (and it's a pretty sweet ride). I ate lunch here with a friend last week and had a fine experience. The place is a nice size, has a large bar, wasn't extremely crowded, and the food was enjoyable. They have an extensive menu and a lot of seafood for a "bar food" joint. I opted for the soup of the day, chanterelle mushroom, and the prime rib sandwich. My partner in crime opted for the same soup and a chicken salad sandwich. Let me first say that the mushroom soup should be the soup of the month. It was rich and full of flavor. My friend's chicken salad sandwich was average, but my prime rib sandwich was actually really good. I honestly expected it to be too rubbery to eat like a sandwich (which is why I usually steer clear), but I am glad I took the risk. It was tender, juicy, and it's tough to beat something that is served with a topping of onion rings. One thing that bothered me at Miller's was the beer selection. If I walk into an "ale house," I expect to be bombarded with taps upon entering and it should take me half an hour to decide on a beer. The beer selection at Miller's is pretty standard, but the value more than makes up for it. They offer extensive lunch and dinner specials that make you look twice. I would be willing to say that Miller's is one of the best lunch values in Alpharetta and you should definitely check it out, despite a measly 3 star rating...

    (3)
  • Matt R.

I've eaten here about 100 times in several locations. Normally crowded, decent food, good drink specials ($2.00 Fosters), and marginally clean tables. Still it is open late and centrally located which fits the bill most of the time.

Used to go here a lot to watch football. Won't ever go back again! They Refused to put a game on one of their 50 tv's. I was shocked when the General Manager refused to put on the Packers game at all. Food is average. Management does not care about their customers. Also smelled like someone had thrown up in there.

Miller's Ale House is a sports bar located in Alpharetta. It's your typical suburban bar hangout. It kinda reminds me of a TGI Fridays with a Hooters feel minus the cute waitresses in skimpy outfits. Expect your run of the mill bar food and nothing more. The layout of the TV's are decent if you want to catch a football game on Sunday. There are some video games and a pool table if you want to partake in any fun games. We usually start with the wings. They are generally pretty good and the wings come wet with with the buffalo sauce. They appear to be thoroughly cooked throughout and I never personally had any issues with them. They won't be memorable but you get a solid order which will not be disappointing. What has been disappointing is the burger. I have eaten it several times and the last time I had it. I bit into grizzle a couple of times. I informed the manager and he heard what I said but didn't seem to care or do anything about it. I knew then, they weren't terribly concerned about my satisfaction as a customer. Unfortunately this is a Bucs friendly bar and I like coming here to be around my Bucs fans. I suppose my hands are tied in this one :-( Don't necessarily expect gangbuster service, quality or money well spent.

Miller's is the kind of place you decide on when you cant decide on anything else, and I love them for it. It's easy, they have a diverse menu, the place is huge and you are always assured a quick table. Drink specials every night is the icing on the cake. Staff is always friendly and it's a great place for kids. Dare I say it's better than Taco Mac? Perhaps. Perhaps.

  • Lee G.

Zinger? I hardly know her! This review might be a bit premature. I came here for an early dinner on a Monday. I didn't have a lot of time to look at the menu and take in the entire place. So knowing that this was a signature item, I just ordered some zingers with hot wing sauce. They are more like chicken strips tossed in wing sauce, not really boneless wings. They were pretty good, but nothing to write home about. Slightly better than Taco Mac, but that's not saying a lot. But like I said, I had to eat in a hurry. The menu has a lot on it, and is worth a few trips back. Their lunch menu looked to be a much better value.

    (3)
  • Veronica J.

I love Ale House, most likely because they have great bar food and good beer at a reasonable price! The HOT Zingers are great and their chinese salad is also good. The service is always on point, even during busy football game days! There's outdoor seating that is air conditioned. Plently of TV's to catch all of the game day experience and LOTS of parking. This isn't an upscale place, so don't go with high hopes of la-te-dah food; it's bar food in a bar atmosphere- hence the term "ALE HOUSE".

This is one of our favorite places to go have a couple drinks. The bartenders are attentive and friendly. The food is all decent for what you pay for. The best part is the Drink Specials! You can't beat em.

Pros: Convenient location, large space, lots of beers on draft Cons: Average food, Mediocre Service Went on a Monday night with some friends who go there religiously for the all you can eat crab legs. It's a good deal for $20. I don't like to work for my food, so I opted for the shrimp and crab quesadilla. It was either going to be that or the cajun burger. I wish I went for the burger. It was a lot of not so good food. Besides burgers and wings (they are known for their boneless wings they call Zingers) they do have some pasta dishes, steaks, a good seafood offering (including fish tacos) and even pork osso bucco. The crowd was decent for a Monday night. I can see this place being really crowded on the weekend. It's just off the interstate very close to the mall. Service was decent but our waitress could have been a bit more on the ball with checking back with us especially for drink orders. Speaking of beer, the best thing about this place is they have really good beers on draft. I'm talking Stella, Boddington's, Sweetwater 420, Sierra Nevada, etc, etc.

Yesterday we all met after work here for a going away beer for one of our colleagues. They had a nice dealing going for a bucket of 5 Miller Lites for 7.95. I had a grilled chicken sandwich, which was OK, but nothing "to write home about". Our waitress was nice, but a little inattentive. All and all not a bad place, but nothing special.

Ok, don't go to the Ale House and expect Ruth's Chris-quality food. Ale House is a Restaurant/BAR. Guess what? They serve BAR food. And they do a darn good job of it. I visit the Ale House a great deal, whether for Happy Hour, Lunch, or late night on occasion. I LOVE sports and clearly that's a huge sell for this place. It's wonderfully located right off the highway in Alpharetta and the clientele is pretty typical Alpharetta (which is wonderful and the reason I love living here). They do decent seafood at VERY good prices, and you cannot find anywhere else with better or bigger variety of drink specials. We are both from Florida so we've been Ale House-ing for years, so we were absolutely thrilled when we saw this one go up in our new backyard. There's something for everyone and I'd say 80% of the time the service is impeccable. I'm sure like every restaurant, they experience unexpected staff shortages, or a random rush and that could cause the intermittent delay in service. But from someone who visits often, at various times of the day, I will tell you that's the exception and not at all the rule. I love the Ale House and will keep going there! They have lunch specials every day for $4.95-$6.95 that generally include some kind of sandwich and a large portion of fries (or you can swap sides for a small upcharge) and that is a fine deal in this area. Go there! Have a proper expectation, and you won't be disappointed. Absolutely get the Zingers - all flavors are amazing. Get a drink or two, you can afford it here!!

Your typical Alpharetta bar. Don't go expecting too much. For what they are and what they do, they do it well. Our waiter was super friendly and got everything that we ordered correct. He stopped by our table, it seemed, almost every five minutes to make sure that we were good and if we needed anything. I split the chicken nachos with one other person. Yes, they're massive, but if you do get them, go for the extra $2 "layered" option. It gives you more cheese and more chicken and it's totally worth it. Other than that, the pomegranate margaritas were good - a little on the weak side and pretty small for $8. The crowd was lively and the music was awesome - '90s hits to the max! To me, comparable to Barnacles.

Had a great meal here tonight with some co-workers. It's $10.95 Prime Rib night with $9.95 Yuengling Pitchers - needless to say I left here full and tipsy. Our waitress was nice, and the trivia-night was entertaining, if not a little confusing. Good place to go if you're in the area and don't want to spend as much as you would at Papadeaux next door.

I'm a big fan of the Ale House chain. Great place to eat and watch sporting event. This Ale House is identical to the one in St Petersburg, FL and it felt like home. But the service was horrible. Our waitress could only handle 1 table @ a time in between sitting and chatting with friends. The wings weren't as good as a remembered down in FL. Rest of our food was good. Not sure if I will go back to this particular Ale House, there are enough sports themed restaurants in the area whose service is better than what we received here.

Eeh gods it's like they took Friday's and doubled it in size and then started brewing their own beer so people wouldn't peg them. This place is pretty large and mixes in the feel of a sports bar with a brewery restaurant: they have a bunch of booths and then the large bar and then another boothed section with bigger tables and video games and pool, then a small porch for the loud folks. I always end up here with the loud folks. Maybe that has something to do with why my service experience here has always been hellacious. The servers tend to come over when they're damn well ready and MIGHT get everyone's order right, if they feel like it. Mostly though, I've ended up neglected here. Their homebrewed beer is all right, if you like that kind of thing. Definitely nothing to go out of your way for. This place is more okay for large groups if you just need a place to gather. I wouldn't come here if you're looking for a good meal, or to watch a game: they don't have that many TVs.

The Ale House is a chain based in Florida. Many small and large Florida cities have an Ale House, named after the town... I have been to the Ocala Ale House many times. This location is the first Ale House located outside of Florida. How fortunate for the north side to get one! Most of the food is "bar food", but its a little better than your average bar food. I happen to really like their Zingers (boneless chicken strips with a large variety of sauces on offer) and their burgers. Their appetizers such as the nachos are served in very generous portions. The Zingers are pretty much their signature "bar food" item. They are always tender and juicy and not overly breaded, unlike many places that serve chicken fingers that will break your teeth because the thick breading has been fried into concrete. I really do like the food, but then I really like Taco Mac's food too, despite the poor reviews many Atlanta-area Yelpers have given them. I find the two restaurants to be similar in that they have very extensive menus for a bar. There's one entree in particular that stands out at the Ale House, and that's the Ossobucco. Pork shanks with the meat just falling off the bone. Its like tasting heaven. The Ale House has more of a bar atmosphere than a restaurant one. The center of the room has a huge bar. One side has pool tables and there are several arcade machines in the back. There are TVs everywhere with sports playing on there. Lots of people are there to drink, eating being secondary. It is, however, the best food you are going to get in Roswell or Alpharetta on a weeknight after 10 when everything else is closed.

Food is OK, beer is cheap ONLY if you like Miller products. I hate Miller products but I wont discount any stars for them for that.

OK where to start? I like this place I go for Trivia on Tuesdays, the crowd is kinda old and the same team basically wins every time. Oh well there are drink specials every night. Miller products are very inexpensive. Being on a limited budget I like to go where the deals are. the place itself is nice inside the food is OK at best. you cant beat the loaded fries, but by no means is this place up scale. the TVs are nice lots of games, the pool tables are in a really bad spot and to play you really have to put you ass in somebody's face. Over all this place is a good way to waste a week night when you didnt have anything better to do or are just looking for a break from taco mac.

I've been here several times and always thought the food was ok. The beer selection is good though. You can get anything from a Budlite to Sweetwater 420. Given a choice I would go down the road to Taco Mac since I think their food is much better. This last time a group of us went in, our server chased us down in the parking lot making sure everyone chipped in for the bill because this individual didn't think the tip was generous enough. I was shocked as was the rest of the group. So I think I'll be avoiding this place for awhile. Perhaps until I hear something good about it from several people.

I go here all the time, but it's largely due to the fact that it's right next door to the rink where I play ice hockey and they give free pitchers to the teams (2 for the winning team, 1 for the losers). The food is decent and the prices are great (50 wings for under $20!). I strongly recommend their wings; the classic buffalo is solid, and the garlic is also awesome (we once ordered extra bread just to sop up the garlicly oil at the bottom of the plate... yes, our arteries hate us). The french onion soup is good, the oysters and clams are decent, and the steak is ok (pretty good for the price). Portions are generally generous. The service is *really* hit-or-miss, and that's where they get docked from 4 stars down to 3. We sort of got to know which of the waitrons were reliable, and which ones to avoid. There's one, that we simply refer to as the "dumb one" (or sometimes less polite terms) who's slow, gets the orders wrong, and is too dumb to even lie correctly to cover her own ass (once we were waiting forever for an order of oysters on the half shell, and when asked what was taking so long, she replied that they were still being cooked... yeah, cooking raw oysters takes a long time). We had another waiter who just was too busy flirting with girls or something... I saw my french onion soup sitting on the counter where the cooks place the ready orders, and then it just sat there for seven minutes... eventually I just got up and grabbed it myself at which point the manager realized something was amiss. On the other hand, there was another waitress that we really liked, who was so attentive that it almost bordered on being annoying, but we always got top grade service from her. I still enjoy going there. Summary: Good bar food at a good price with inconsistent service.

Typical american pub-type bar. Service is good, food is good and prices are reasonable. Just shoot me.

Miller's Ale House is not bad but it's nothing special either. It has a large open area and some limited outdoor seating. There are a few video games and pool tables to keep kids, both little and small, entertained. There are some decent beer specials such as Fosters drafts that are always only $2.50. The food is alright, again nothing special. Check out the chicken nachos though. It literally has to be a full bag of tortilla chips covered in cheese, chicken, and salsa. Four of us shared these for our dinner. Good times.

Came for the fish and chips and all we got was batter and soggy chips. Margaritas tasted just awful and now I have to go eat somewhere else....

Went here on a date. I didn't eat - kept it strictly liquid. Decent beer selection and drink specials aren't bad at all. If I drank shitty beer like Miller Lite, it'd totally work for me though. Waitress was very attentive though and never let my beer glass go empty for very long. Prices aren't bad.

Not a bad place to relax and have a few beers. The food is typical pub offerings. I would go again.

I went with my family for the Monday night rib special. They liked the ribs. However, I got a chicken sandwich, and it was horrible. The broccoli tasted like they boiled it it fish water, the sandwich lacked any kind of seasoning, and the bun was really stale! How hard is it to make a chicken sandwich?? The best thing I had was a beer, but I have to say that for an "Ale House", their beer selection sucks. Not one local brew on the menu. I will not be going back.

A long and painful train-wreck of a work emergency led to me wanting some form of dinner after midnight. The locals I worked with suggested Waffle House or something similar, which I just wasn't in the mood for. Hats off to Yelp's iPhone app (and the Open Now filter) for finding this little gem for me, and I quickly called to learn that the kitchen was open until 1:30AM. NICE! I walk in, take a seat at the bar, and just stop and stare. People smoking in a bar isn't something I'm used to seeing in NY, Chicago, LA, etc...and while I've technically quit smoking, that night was enough of a cluster.... to make me really really want one. Stephen - bartender extraordinaire - walks up, smiles as I explain my confusion and regrets not having any cigs for sale in the bar, and then promptly offers me one of his, while explaining that it becomes okay after 11, as long as no kids are in the bar. Things only get better from here. I almost never find Fat Tire Ale east of...say...Chicago. Yeap - it's on tap here, and in a 20oz Big Fat Tire version. The British Burger - with swiss and bacon burned to the perfect crisp without even needing to ask for it - was extraordinary. Last, and most importantly - the people I met here made my night. Wednesday night, after midnight, I wasn't expecting people I sat down next to at a bar to be open to conversation and engaging a complete stranger, much less buying each other shots and allowing me to mooch smokes. So - in sum - Stephen is the man to see for a drink at Miller's Ale House. He is backed up by a really good kitchen, and for when you're not hungry, a great beer and liquor selection. You may find really cool and friendly people to hang out with at the bar. Easy and plentiful parking is to be had. I just don't see any downside here. Have a go!

Family went out for my father's birthday and my parents love this place. I had a chicken sandwich. It was pretty good but I wish that the piece of chicken would have been larger as it didn't really fill up the bun. Service was decent without being amazing. The menu has a variety of selections pub food pasta ribs seafood. I wish they would have cut back in the number of directions they took the menu because while there is some variety each section if you will isn't really that big, and I usually struggle to figure out what I want to eat when going here

I had not been here for over 3 1/2 years and a gift certificate I received as a present was the ONLY thing that ever got me in here again after my last time there during the last Presidential Debates! I have given them another star. Honestly, I love the food I have now had on the numerous trips back after a couple months ago. But service there is still "iffy". Sometimes good and sometimes not so good. They have a great Philly Cheese and Seafood Mac N' Cheese. I look forward to trying their ribs and Shrimp scampi. I mostly use this as my UFC pay-per-view hangout now as Champps has closed and I quickly got tired of Buffalo Wild Wings on the other side of 400.

When I come to town to visit with my brother and his family, I always want to carve out time to visit my oldest friend. This visit, we decided to meet halfway between where the two families live and chose Miller's Ale House, a place neither of us have ever been to. I had already checked out the online menu and immediately set my sights on the fish tacos. I'm always excited to find good fish tacos, but unfortunately I wasn't able to get any on this trip. When I got to the restaurant, I decided to check out the menu one more time just in case something else caught my eye. I was actually in the mood for pasta, but none of them really struck me. Be forewarned that this place is very heavy on the seafood in everything from the pasta to the sandwiches. (Only two of the pasta dishes didn't have seafood in them.) I started off with a raspberry mojito which was good. I decided to go with my first instinct, the fish tacos, which were listed to come with rice and black beans. I didn't even think to confirm this fact. When my tacos came out (finally...our food was running kinda slow) they were served with fries. Whatever, I thought, I'll just go ahead and eat the fries. I was disappointed to see just how few fries there really were, though. My friend's 7-year-old daughter had more fries with her mac & cheese than I did! Oh well, I didn't need the extra fries anyway, right? Then came the tacos. I can't say they were bad, but they weren't what I was expecting them to be. I probably would have liked them better if they didn't have the odd chipotle-cilantro sauce on them. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE spicy food! If I see the word "chipotle", I'm all over it. But this sauce was thick and awkward and not the least bit spicy. I was almost convinced it was actually barbeque sauce. The one saving grace was the dessert. I got the chocolate pounder cake to go. It's a very large slice and I only ate half of it that night (and saved the rest for the next night). I'm a serious chocoholic and this cake really hit the spot! It was moist and delicious. But even the cake came out incredibly slowly (we thought maybe our waiter was making a whole new cake!) and then we still had to ask for the check after our waiter brought it out. Miller's Ale House isn't a place I would readily go to again or suggest to anyone else. Yes, the mojito and the cake were really good, but you can get mojitos and cake just about anywhere. The drink and dessert shouldn't be the only redeeming quality about your entire meal.

The food is pretty good, I have to admit. I've tried the Zingers (which are just chicken fingers) the asian salad, and the burgers over the past month. Nothing really jumped out (actually, I didn't like the burger all that much but the other people at my table loved theirs so I'm assuming I was an exception) The place is really loud though - don't go here hoping for a conversation. They also don't have movable tables, so any party with more than 6 people is out of luck. Like I said earlier, the food tasted good but really it's overpriced. They basically just serve bar food with a couple of 'normal' entrees, but the prices are jacked up. They do have good drink specials, which offsets the high food prices, and a decent selection of beers on tap. Service is mixed. The servers are always friendly and have a smile on their face - but they like to disappear also. Getting your drink refilled can be a bit difficult, which is really odd for a bar. Not a bad place to watch the game or throw back some beers, but that's about it.

This spot is an after-work favorite for our office, partially because of the proximity and partially because of the week night drink specials and some great bartenders (particularly who have been pillars of the place for a long time). From the floor staff perspective, they seem to have lost most of the quality servers and have replaced them with lesser talent. The food is hit or miss - some nights it can be pretty good (for the price and given it is not a high-end establishment), while others it can be very disappointing to the point of sending it back. I attribute much of it to a relatively high rate of turnover within the past year, especially with regard to management. The patio is definitely a plus, as well as the number of TVs (although you can find better sports bars elsewhere, that is obviously not the primary purpose of the establishment). There is a good crowd of regulars typically seated around a large 3-sided bar most evenings, and it does help contribute to the atmosphere in a very Cheers-esque fashion. Bottom line, if you're looking for upscale, fresh seafood, or a romantic evening - this is not it. If you're looking to kick-back with some reasonably priced drinks and some decent food in a casual, friendly atmosphere (after work or for games on the weekend) it's worth checking out and deciding for yourself.

We used to frequent millers back in the day on a weekly basis. We would come up for trivia and dinner and beer. the service back in the day was pretty lousy and eventually was what drove us off. A server actually had the nerve to comment on her tip after 3 trips to our table in a 2 hour time frame... ( be glad you got 15% if anything) So this past weekend I had to meet a friend off mansell to plan a baby shower. I remembered the Big Red, and thought heck.. we haven't been here in over a year. lets give it a go. Needless to say maybe a year wasn't long enough.. We got there around 1pm. a few minutes of sitting the girl came by to take a drink order, and this is just a nit pick of mine, but when she brought out the drinks they were about 2/3 of the way full... I dont know what was wrong with filling them up normally, but even when she brought out a refill it was still only 2/3 of the way full? She dropped off the drinks and asked if we had decided on food, we both ordered the same thing, Big red's with a side of ranch. Food was brought out - no ranch- asked again for it and it was brought out. Server came back by and checked on us, then that was all we saw from her... The chicken was gianormous. it was trying to escape from all sides of the bun. aside from a small fatty piece the chicken was good, the buffalo sauce had a little heat to it, fries were crispy. The sammich garden on the plate had seen better days... A manager Im assuming? walked up about 5 feet from the table and asked if it was good, never made eye contact or follow up comment? but we paid and took off.. Nothing to write home about, but nothing to make me want to return anytime soon...

You know, when I first started going to Miller's a few years ago...the food was ok and it was an ok place. But it seems in the last year the quality of the food has gone down immensely to the point I do not enjoy going there for a nice pub/bar meal. The last few times I went there I ordered the blackened salmon and mashed potatoes, the last time I had it, it was quite bad. The fish was very fishy and smelled poor and the mashed potatoes tasted metallic-y with a cold, salty gravy. I thought maybe I was just choosing the wrong dish, so the last time I went there I decided to get a sandwich. Sadly I was disappointed again and the food was not very good. I tend not to be a picky eater, I like most foods but after several disappointing meals that I was unable to finish I have decided to forgo Millers and check out some other restaurants in the metro Atlanta area. It seems they have a good beer/cocktails selection, so I guess that is good. But try not to go here for the food. It will most likely disappoint you.

This place is definitely a sports bar. Totally suited for the 5:00 crowd that jammed the joint but not a restaurant by any means. If you want to drink a few beers with your work buddies or watch a big game this is the place, but that's it. The rib eye I had was the 2nd worst I have ever had. The worst was in Mexico where they don't know steaks, The steak was only about 3/8" thick. It appears they are trying to pass off some type of flatiron steak or a round steak as a rib eye. I consider myself a rib eye expert and have eaten rib eye all across the U.S. This steak wasn't a rib eye by any stretch. The onion rings seemed under cooked. I should have known you can't get a good rib eye for $14.95

Miller's Alpharetta Ale House was great and so welcomed when it first opened a few years ago. It was something that Alpharetta needed; cheap booze and good bar food. While the booze is still cheaper than the other establishments in the area, the food has went downhill. Last time I was there to watch some ball I got the nachos. I could have gotten better nachos at the QT. At least my beer was cold and good. Overall, I will return to the Ale House for drinking and watching sports with my Alpharetta buddies. It is a great place to catch some games and have some brews.

Ok, I can't really comment on the food that much here because every reason I'm here is because the gang at work drags me here to drink. The standard bar food is pretty good, the cheese sticks, Quesadilla & onion rings (great) the oysters, fries and calamari are pretty good from what I hear as well. Now the drinks are what I talk about the most. Your beer, wine, soda, water, liquor, etc. get to you quick fast & in a hurry. The staff is great and the waitress's are always quick with a suggestion on what shot to order next or what girly drink to put in front of a co-worker. All in all it's got that charming feel of cheers but only in Alpharetta.

Can I please rate this place a ZERO!!!! Do NOT go here on a night there is a concert at Verizon. I had perhaps the WORST restaurant experience of my life there tonite. We arrived a bit before 5pm thinking we had plenty of time to eat and get to the concert early. There were 5 of us. We ordered our drinks and food items immediately. There were very few customers in the restaurant. 40 minutes later we still didn't have any food - we asked the waiter to check on the order. He said he'd asked for it to be "rushed". At this point the restaurant had become quite full. We asked him to check again about 10 minutes later - once again he said he'd asked to have it expedited. He said the kitchen was backed up but of course it could NOT have been backed up when we arrived nearly an hour before. Then at 6pm he came back and said that our order had never been processed and now they really were backed up so it would be a long wait before we could get any food. So they would not be able to serve us in a reasonable amount of time if we wanted to get to the concert. Incredible! We called over the manager, expressed our disgust - and left. Amazing! Pathetic and amazing!
