Such a great place! The clam chowder is delicious and we had fish tacos that were really fresh and good. Definitely try it out!

Stopped in on a whim after seeing several good reviews and we were not disappointed. The restaurant is tiny but very clean and the owners friendly and helpful. I tried the fried basa and it did not disappoint. First of all, the portion was larger than I expected. The crispy coating was light, not greasy and the fish itself was very moist and juicy. The fries that came with it were generous, seasoned perfectly, and did not originate as a frozen product. That was a pleasant surprise. They (the fries) are not exactly pretty to look at, but they more than made up for that in how good they tasted. (Reminded me of fries from In N Out Burger) Another reviewer here mentioned music that was "thumping". When we arrived, on a rainy Saturday, the music was low in the background and was 50's doo-wop style, which all felt very appropriate, fun, and unobtrusive. We also tried the fried pickle app because I have a weakness for fried pickles. They were sliced very thinly and had an addictive crunchy coating. There were a few at the bottom that were sitting in some oil so they could have been drained out of the fryer a bit longer but they came with a side of ranch (which I didn't think they needed) and had that wonderful balanced combo of crunchy, sour and salty. The drinks are extra in a combo plate, just fyi....and next time I think I'll just get a cup for water but overall we were very pleasantly surprised with the freshness. Definitely not like any mass- produced frozen fish fast food you may have tried. It was a rather heavy meal, but they will grill or bake anything for you as well. You don't have to order it fried. We'll be back for sure. I'd really like to try the basa again but grilled next time.

This was a great find! I ordered a blackened fish sandwich, and it was delicious! This is by far one of the best fish sandwiches that I've ever had. Plus very friendly staff, who are helpful when it comes to their menu.

Excellent food!...Fresh seafood and the sauces were delicious!...I got the crab cake and it was a good sized one...not one of the mini ones you get in the "fancy" restaurants ..it tasted great too....

Fried seafood nirvana. The ambience is sparse, but the food is great. When we dined here, they didn't have any alcohol. Hopefully they will remedy that soon. But even without a beer or glass of wine, you won't want to miss dining here.

Everything I have tried has been good. Very limited menu (a good sign). Best in area.

Went here for lunch and got the blackened Basa Fish Po Boy. Excellent. Also the Mac and Cheese was great. We had excellent service as well and I'll definitely be back.

Not having many seafood spots in the area, we were excited to try this place. The seafood itself was ok. Everything else tasted prepackaged/bland. We probably won't be back. Expensive for what you get.

Not really sure how they are getting such good reviews? My family and I visited several months ago and will not return. Most if not all their side products are frozen from distribution center. They could be so much better with fresh product. The fish was nothing special but I guess with no Long John Silvers or captain d's its the only thing around. We are really shocked they have lasted this long.

We visited for our time tonight. Had heard very good things about them and was definitely not disappointed. While they specialize in fried seafood, they will also grill or broil to your taste. We shared fried scallops, oysters and shrimp along with sides of fries and Mac and cheese. All were very fresh and delicious. The menu allows you to mix and match which we loved. For instance we ordered the scallops with 2 sides but got shrimp and oysters as additions we could share our favorites. Lots of other things on the menu that we will try next time. Owner is very nice and concerned to make sure everything is perfect. Service was great. I love fresh seafood but it's often hard to get in ATL that measures up. Would definitely recommend you trying. Prices are very reasonable too.

This is a hidden gem across the street from the Midway Meal House in the strip mall where the Barker Lounge Dog Day Care is located. I put this in here because if not using GPS you could drive by the strip mall and not realize it. The fish is excellent. I long for good fish and chips like you get in the UK and this is very very close and the best I have had here in the Atlanta area. Now if they offered petite pois with the meal I would be in heaven! This is a no frills restaurant but who cares. The fish is to die for. Not greasy. Great seasoning and coating. The clams and shrimp are awesome also. And get the fried green beans. YUM. Don't like fried fish? They also broil. Yep. But seriously, come here for the fish. It's the best.

[TL;DR] Had to read over a lot of reviews to get me over my fear of going somewhere with Fry in the name other than Fry's. Yelp held my hand through it. It was good. Not everything is fried. /ATMOSPHERE Not at all what I thought it would be when I walked in. I expected a sit-down-cafe-diner type place. It's basically the eating area facing the kitchen and ordering at the counter in a self-service kind of manner. The choice of music was interesting. A name that sounds much like a Frank Sinatra song should have you thinking about music from that genre. Instead, it was more thumpy. /FOOD Pay careful attention to the menu above the daily specials. After I ordered the daily special and sat down, I realized there were other treats -- like po' boys. I had the cod basket. My wife had the crab cake. Both were good, but the crab cake won. The sides -- onion rings, french fries, cole slaw, and macaroni and cheese -- were all fresh and all good. The fries aren't frozen. You can see the potatoes in the back in their chrysalis waiting to emerge as a fried, skinny stick of goodness. Don't go in your clothes you have to dry-clean. You are going to emerge smelling like vegetable oil. /SERVICE Order at the counter where the confusing menu will have you feeling all kinds of pressure to make up your mind. Thankfully the attendees are friendly and patient. Food took a little longer than I thought, but it showed up about the time I started eating my shoe. The owner walked around talking to some of the customers there. He seemed like a really nice guy. HOW TO READ MY REVIEWS: 1 Star - Does not approach edible. Enter at your own risk. 2 Stars - If I'm in the area, I'd pick something else. 3 Stars - I would stop by if I happen to be in the area. 4 Stars - I would pick this place out of other places nearby. 5 Stars - I would go out of my way to dine here.

I've wanted to try this place for a while. Now I wish I hadn't. After ordering, our 45 minute wait resulted in cold fries and rock hard chicken tenders, tasteless slaw and hot, watery Mac and cheese. The shrimp were fine, but very expensive for the few we got. The man at the register was pleasant, but that was the worst meal out I have had in five years. I wish I hadn't taken my family here.

Very good! A little hidden off the road, but a great find. You can tell everything is really fresh and made to order. I will definitely be back!

Not all Fried! Stopped in when I realized you could get baked/grilled items too. I had the blackened/grilled shrimp poboy and onion rings. Great food and very affordable, I will be going back.

My family stopped by here on a whim and it was great! The freshness and perfection of cooking technique comes through with every bite of the fish. We tried the fried basa fried and blackened on a P-Boy and it was amazing both ways. We tried a variety of the sides as well. The mac & cheese was by far the superlative, but the fries, onion rings, hush puppies, and onion rigs were good. Our toddler and 4 year old enjoyed the hamburger and fish taco. The prices and quality of food make this a place we should visit regularly.

Stopped there for lunch this week based on a friends recommendation. The fried basso was incredible as well as the hand dipped home made onion rings. Their mac n cheese was definitely not out of a box. Great service and reasonably priced, I've been looking for a place like this in Alpharetta since moving here from Houston 10 years ago. Can't wait to go back with family and friends. A new favorite go-to place. Rick K

I have been there a couple times. Though the prices are not bad, I personally did not care for the food. Service was pleasant. No issues there. Just not my preferred fried fish spot.

Love this place. The fish is great and can be fried, grilled or blackened. I had the fried basa and my wife had the fried haddock. Both were excellent and just the right amount of breading. We'll definitely be back!

Purchased blacken Shrimp Skewer. My friends were looking for something 'local' while in alpharetta. We didn't want a resturant that we could have while in atlanta and the main reason we picked this place was the name. We found it clever and funny, and knew we were taking a chance on a location solely based on the name. We all enjoyed our meals. I wasn't hungry and only got 1 skewer, and after I finished it prompted order another one. My friend who ordered one of the combo platters of Basa, really enjoyed her dish as well. I made sure to steal one her her hush puppies and then we treated ourselves to the Beignets.. and while I had to be told they were Beignets (they looked more like crepe pieces), they were still really delicious! The only thing they didn't particular enjoy was the coleslaw, or the mac salad. Customer Service was extremely friendly and attentive. Would go back again!

Great job of frying fish. Its a little confusing when you walk in. here is sccop. It appears to have table service, but it doesn't. Don't sit down and wait for a waitress . Get a menu, stand in line order, then sit. Food is good, service friendly and fast. not too expensive with lunch size portions.

Small locally owned seafood fry shop offering up great tasting fried goodness at reasonable prices. I had the combo platter which included haddock, scallops, clam strips and shrimp. My two sides were the mac & cheese and fries. My wife had the haddock, fries and coleslaw. The "fry" was not batter style but more of coarse textured corn meal like coating. Pros: Best clam strips that I ever had hands down so tender and not like the frozen kind, everything seemed made from scratch including the clam chowder, coleslaw and mac & cheese , seafood was fresh and the oil had a good clean taste (canola), New England style clam chowder tasted authentic, beignets are served warm and drizzled with chocolate sauce and powdered sugar. Cons: no soda fountain but they have bottles of coca-cola products, no alcohol ( looking into BYOB options), crinkle cut fries are not my favorite as I prefer steak fries but they were good, cream puffs seemed pre-made but we didn't ask. Owner and staff were friendly and courteous, we thought the food fresh and delicious and fried to perfection. We will definitely return and tell our friends.

I work in the area and was out looking for a new place for lunch. The sign caught my attention but the food, prices, service and friendliness kept it! Even though the name says Fry, they also grill and blacken. I'm quite addicted to their blacked shrimp tacos. I usually have one at least once a week sometimes twice ;) Really good homemade mac & cheese too. Once of these days, maybe my appetite will be big enough for a po' boy because they sure do look delicious and I'm sure they are! Stop by... I bet you get addicted too.

I have driven by this place several times, but never stopped in, my loss. Was looking for a new place to eat on New Year's Day, and saw their reviews on yelp (all positive) and decided to give it a try. Definitely not disappointed. We all opted for the Shrimp Po' Boys. The meal came with 2 sides, and I chose the side salad with Ranch dressing and the Mac & cheese. We also ordered some jalapeño poppers. The salad was delicious and the dressing tasted home made. The Mac & Cheese was creamy, and the shrimp Po' Boy was fantastic. The Shrimp was fresh, the bread was just right, and the remolaude was full of flavor. I can't wait to go back and try some of their other offerings. If you don't want fried, you can also get certain selections grilled.

We were looking for a new place to try for lunch and thought this sounded good. Checked out the reviews on Yelp and Urban Spoon and got a little worried. All the reviews were wildly positive and that always makes me a bit suspicious that maybe only friends and family have been reviewing. Went there and tried it out anyway as was not disappointed. The food was fresh and flavorful and there was plenty to eat. The onion rings were some of the best I've had in quite a while, the seasoning in the batter added a flavor I've never seen in an onion ring before, outstanding. I had the combo platter with four different types of seafood and my wife had the fried clams. We enjoyed all of the entrees and were surprised that, for fried seafood, none of the entrees was even the least bit greasy. Well done, we'll definitely be back. The only change we'd like to see would be fountain drinks rather than bottled sodas.

Super clean, super friendly, owner operated with great food!!! What more can you ask for? The fried haddock with fries we had was fabulous. Can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu.

Went here last weekend for lunch. Everything is practically fried but it's all very good. The have bottled soda, no soda fountain. But they have sweet and unsweetened tea. Place is closed on Sundays. Folks are very friendly. Support small business!

Went there after driving past this place several times. They had a haddock sign out front which got my attention and went and tried. Definitely the best haddock I have had in many years and I am from the UK. I will definitely be back
