I sent this review to the Longhorn webpage and they sent me a gift card that covered my next meal which really impressed me. The restaurant does still usually smell like kitchen garbage but the food and service is much better. The only thing I would add is that the servers need to be trained in identifying steak cooking levels. When I show you my medium rare is brown in the middle it doesn't matter what cut of steak it is, it's cooked well-done. All in all I felt the managers checked in regular enough to intercept issues we had. I'll still keep coming here for the best tasking steaks and that amazing parmesan crusted chicken!

Food was typical Longhorn. I had the prime rib it was as good as any other Longhorn I've been in. service was not very good. Later would disappear for long periods of time.

Too busy for the manpower there working wit. Waited for two steaks on a slow night kitchen . When order arrived it was wrong. Customer service wasn't up to par ... Went a 2nd time and nothing changed !

I ordered the ribeye and my steak was delicious and cooked to perfection. The waitress I had was a wonderful girl, she was very sweet and well mannered, we tipped her good, and when we came back we got the same girl again thank god, but I cannot remember her name! So sorry I can't recommend her for you (whomever is reading this)

Tried the Lobster Stuffed Filet, DISGUSTING! Service was good, but the filet really tasted spoiled. They replaced it with just a regular plain filet and it was ok. Ate with my cousin and her friend who BOTH got SICK the same night we ate here with intestinal "problems".

I generally have good experiences at LongHorn. This night was a cold night with a long wait outside. It was the Friday night before a Saturday Valentine's and many couples were out, but I was just out with a buddy and he decided he wanted to eat here. It was a 45-minute wait, so we took a stroll to Target for about 30 minutes with the buzzer. When we finally sat down to eat it was a fair wait for the server to introduce herself. Kayla was her name and she was a bit timid, but seemed okay. I ordered a sweet tea with lemon and my buddy had a water and a Montana Mule. He raved about them before we arrived. He described it as a Jim Beam with a ginger soda and a lime. I'm not sure how that sounds to most people, but it sounds disgusting to me. We had to wait quite a while for any of the honey wheat bread to arrive and, when it did, they only gave us half of a loaf. After we ordered and everything we requested more and Kayla advised us that it was going to be a bit because the bread is frozen and then cooked. I'm not sure we were meant to know that. Either way my sweet tea arrived without lemon and it was positively nasty. I should have just requested a water, but I waited til she returned and I requested the lemons I originally ordered. I added some lemon juice to my tea and it was still pretty nasty. I can't pinpoint what the problem was with it exactly, but it didn't taste fresh. I never finished the glass. My buddy ordered a Wild West Shrimp appetizer for us. It came at the appropriate time and it was pretty good, but it was very greasy and soggy. I don't think they had the heat up high enough on the oil or they just didn't drain it properly. I ordered the 11 oz ribeye with a baked potato with just butter and sour cream. I ordered it medium rare and I asked for some creamy horseradish on the side. My entree arrived without the horseradish, but the waitress followed shortly with it in a small bowl before I ever asked for it. The steak was cooked well, but it lacked any real sear. The meat just looked plain across, but it was cooked as I ordered it. It did lack any seasoning, though. It just needed some salt and maybe some cracked pepper to bring out some of the flavor a bit more, but it was lacking. I added some table salt to the steak and it was just right. The baked potato could have used some more sour cream, but the waitress didn't really come by enough to make any requests, so I just ate everything. Overall it was a good 4 out of 5 on the food considering it is a chain restaurant. My friend had the same thing basically, but he ordered his steak with a parmesan crust. It came out with a load of cheese on top broiled to a liquid goodness and a flaky brown crust. He said it was very delicious and he paid a compliment with a clean plate. Overall the food was good, but the service was a bit lacking this evening.

Worst service I have received . Our server was slow and kept forgetting stuff we had asked for, had to constantly remind her of what we needed. Got our orders wrong , not a good experience. Will not be coming her

Went here once with a couple co-workers and it was a very pleasant experience. Wish I had gone back, now that I think about it. Think my appetizer was good, but don't remember what it was. For my main meal, I had a chicken/salmon/steak trio special they were running. The steak was good, but definitely not the star of the dish. That honor went to the salmon, actually, as it was amazingly seasoned. Definitely best salmon I've ever had. Chicken had a nice mushroom sauce and was awesome as well. Service was good, too, so I recommend the place.

Don't order take out from here! First time in March 2012 they forgot to put my order in and then dropped it. Took 1.5 hours to get my food, they did give it to me for free though and the manager was very nice. July 2012 tried them again (I come to town for business occasionally) and after 30 minutes (they said 15-20) I went to the restaurant. After waiting for 10 minutes I asked the bartender if my food was ready. Kitchen never started cooking it. Got my food a little over an hour after ordering it. I didn't think the bartender was as appologetic as she should have been and the manager didnt even come out to talk to me. Got my food for free again though. Food has always been spot on, but they wont be getting another chance from me next time I am in town!

Hospitality at the front is still no better than it was on that abysmal night back in November, but I was able to minimize their affect on this review because I ate ate the bar. Sam Adams Lager on draft is a big plus. Most restaurants only stock your average swill of light beer and Budweiser, so it's refreshing to find a place with a beer that is made to a higher standard. I ordered my steak medium-rare but received medium-well. Not one to complain because of the horror stories with regard to food complained about, I began violently sawing through to woody textured beef while sloshing juices and butter off the plate as a modicum of effort was required to penetrate the seared and hardened surface. After I jawed through the first few bites, the bartender finally asked how everything was. Despite my inclination to grin and bear it, I nevertheless informed her that it was a bit over-cooked. Though I was reluctant, I allowed her to replace it with another as she had convinced me nothing would happen. In retrospect, I think I still should have resisted her insistence, but what's done is done. When she finally returned with my order, the meat was properly cooked and quite delicious. I will give them one more chance; they still have a long way to go to impress me they way Longhorn used to.

Decent food but TERRIBLE service. The food may have tasted better if we had better service!! The waitress brought out our app, which was a dip. She knocked the spoon in and didn't bother to offer to get us a fresh one. The dip was rather greasy, so we opted not to use the spoon and just fished it out. Our cups were empty and were not refilled until we asked. The steaks were okay, a little over cooked but still good. I would not recommend the salmon, the texture is just slimy. We also got a chocolate mousse dessert which was a great size for sharing. We waited FOREVER for our check. Then we waited even longer to get the receipt and our cred card. It was dinner time, but not busy at all. Has it been busy I would be more understanding about the things I just listed. I had been warned about the bad service there, but I figured I'd at least give them a chance since they are in such a good location.... but never going there again.
