Do yourself a favor and don't bother stopping in for anything other than a beer...food is simply not good and service is terrible (and discourteous)...lotsa luck to the new owner, he's gonna need it!!!

I dont know if anyone was here before they changed it but man, what a difference! The new decor is beautiful and very welcoming and its the perfect place to watch the game,I mean theres huge T.V.'s everywhere! You could possibly watch 10 games at a time if you have the attention span for it. Its just so different then it was before,Its actually now a beautiful gastro pub so we can move on to the best part, the food! This isn't typical fare. There is food here you would expect to find at a true upscale place with good old fashioned pub fare. Its brilliant, some things aren't that common or are new twists on old ideas but I can assure you its all delicious. The portions are great and the prices are right. This spot is right in between mine and my fathers home so I make it a point to stop by whenever I can cause I have to have a few beers before I head to my dad's. (you know how it is) All in all I was just shocked at what this used to be and what it is now. The staff is amazing and I'd like to say one of the house managers, John I think his name is ,made my wife and I have a great time. The whole staff is great, The food is great, The atmosphere is great. What else can I say,Its good for the whole family or if you just need a beer and burger before visiting family and they have those big beers so you know everythings going to be alright.:) I'll definitely be back!

Had read good things in the local papers. Unfortunately our visit proved disappointing. The service was great, no issues there. But the food, although they try to be original and offer intetesting twists on many of the dishes, was disappointing at best. I had a burger with bleu cheese and prosciutto. The burger was small and lacked any distinguishing flavor. Would gladly have traded for Burger 21 in a heartbeat... And would have saved me $5. Tried the cuban cigars (appetizers), basically cuban sandwich rolled in a wonton and fried. The frying was done well, not too greasy. But the filling tasted as though it could have been a frozen mix. Tried to be happy with the flavor, but just blah. Presentation was good. The place is trying hard, the chef just seems to need a better budget to work with to up the flavor profiles.

I got the Chicken and Waffle Sandwich and it was excellent. This place strikes me like a fusion resteraunt on top of a sports bar. The Chicken and waffle sandwich has multiple flavors tha treally go well together. The sweet waffles with a tangy sauce, and a sweet and spicy slaw all go perfectly with the fried chicken. Everything was hot and juicy. My wife had the lunch tacos which also had the sweet and spicy slaw on them. All together our bill was a little more than I like to spend for lunch for two, which is probably why I am not giving it 5 stars. I will be back some time to try the wings and maybe during a football game to see if it is a nice place to watch and eat with friends.

Winner's is gone, and City Grill has arrived in its location, touting itself as a "gastrobar". We decided to give the place a try on a lazy Sunday afternoon, after noticing the OPEN sign in the window. They've updated the patio a bit, and removed some of the tint from the windows, which brightens the place up quite a bit. Inside, the same furniture adorns the place, however there are new cushions in the booths, and the bar seems to have been updated. They have a pool table and a couple of dart boards to the left of the restaurant. They've added some fresh paint to spruce the place up, as well as "City" themed decor and new lighting. The tables are set up pretty much the same way as before. The menu is quite eclectic, and definitely different than Winner's. It reminded me a little of a Grillsmith menu. They had a drink menu, offering specialty cocktails (around $9 each) and they claim to have craft beers and wine. We did not drink on this occasion, so can't quite comment on the selection. The menu had your typical appetizers, and then quite a few sandwiches, burgers, salads, seafood dishes, pub food, and desserts. There was a LOT to choose from. Next time we go back, we'll probably bring the kids, as their kids' menu was pretty good. The two of us ordered the chicken and waffle sandwich (with waffles as the bun) and the buffalo chicken sandwich. First, the portion sizes were huge. The piece of chicken on each sandwich was enough for two sandwiches. The waffle sliders were the most unique dish I've had using the concept of chicken and waffles. They fortified two waffles and toasted them to perfection. They cooked the chicken breast in a sweet and spicy sauce (think General Tso's) and then topped it with black beans, avocado, corn, taco seasoning, what seemed like cole slaw, and cilantro. It was an explosion of flavor and very unique (and messy). The buffalo chicken sandwich was fried and then drenched in wing sauce. It was almost too much wing sauce and a little too much breading. The bun wasn't anything special (I asked about other bread choices and all they had was kaiser). They bring blue cheese with it, which was good. The sandwich came with lettuce, tomato, and pickle. I paid an extra $1.25 for sweet potato fries, which were okay, but came out cold. The two sandwiches came to about $20. I wish the manager had visited our table, considering the place was pretty empty and the goal would be to have your customers come back. I wanted to ask if the owner/management was the same as Winner's, because it honestly looked like they just wanted a new start, and with how sudden Winner's closed. Our payment even cleared as "Winner's". I can't say we're big fans, but it was okay and we'd visit again sometime. There were a couple items we'd love to go back and try, such as the reuben, and the shephard's pie. It still has that pub feel, with tacky (blue's?) music and a lot of echoing throughout. And on our visit, the place was filled with a group bikers, so it wasn't exactly feeling any different than Winner's did. They're going for a classier feel, but my guess is the same regulars will be back. And with $9 cocktails in more of a pub, not sure that's all meshing together as well as they'd like. I think it will do alright in its location, but people aren't going to drive up BBD to 54 for this, when they have Prime Bar and Grillsmith at Wiregrass.

I have lived in the land o lakes/ Wesley chapel area for my entire life and this restaurant has to be the worst restaurant/experience I've have had in years... On a Friday night around 7 pm, my boyfriend and I expected it to be busy... We walked into the restaurant which was half empty and we were sat at the booth right next to the restrooms..our server took about 5-10 min to come over and greet us... The beers were expensive and appetizers were expensive... You couldn't tell what was in the 'Cuban cigars' appetizer (3 skinny egg rolls for $7) and the dipping sauce was served in an ash tray... Regardless if the ash tray was new or not it was a disgusting thought... Our entrees were also awful.. My boyfriend got the chicken tacos, complete with frozen Tyson chicken and I had the Reuben sandwich served with Oreida French fries...we also noticed that the table across from us was also complaining about their food. I would not waste your money or time at the restaurant. Our bill was expensive for the service and food we received. Worst restaurant in Wesley chapel. I would give it ZERO stars if I could

We have been to this restaurant twice once for lunch and now dinner...If you would like wesley chapels finest white trash then go for dinner. A patron who was asked not to eat their pizza bought in from down the way went into the bathroom with a friend and ate it there with the restaurant's knowledge. How do I know this? Because they walked out eating it and the bartender helped them with the box. Food was cold and mediocre at best. The one star is for the lunch we had because it wasn't bad. Unbelievable. .. really gross. The owner's should be embarrassed and can the kitchen and bar staff.

Just had dinner with my husband . Service was excellent . Staff went beyond their roles to make us comfortable and felt like dining at home with my big family. Food was excellent especially the wings, the fresh grouper .. Had mojito , best one I've had in awhile .. Kudos to the bartender Alex !! And our waitress maria., and the managers helping out the staff clean the tables and delivering the food... Kudos to all of you. Will be back again and will spread the word around how great this place is ! Zen

Definitely not the worst place I've ever eaten, but not even close to the best place. The new decor is very nice, but I've never quite understood the appeal of walls being covered in televisions and all on different channels. It becomes total sensory overload, but I suppose that works for some people. The food? Well I ordered the flank steak cut on the grain with chimichurri and mashed potatoes. My steak was cold but had a good flavor. The potatoes was pretty stiff and a bit bland and my broccoli was not only cold, but barely cooked. I like my veggies al dente but not practically raw and with no seasoning. For some reason they serve it on this small cast iron platter so when you try and cut the food it winds up on the table. My friend ordered a burger and fries and didn't complain about it, so there's that. For a Saturday night I expected a place like this to be hopping and it really wasn't. It was half empty when we got there at 7 and practically empty by 8. That being said, we waited a long time for our food, which might explain why mine was cold. Our server was very friendly, but extremely awkward. I wasn't sure if it was her first night or what. She just seemed a bit off. When we had already paid our bill and was just sitting and chatting for a few minutes she came over to make sure everything was ok and it felt like she was telling us it was time to free up a table even though the place was empty. The manager never came near our table until we'd already eaten and paid and he also made it seem like we were holding up a table. All in all I was a bit underwhelmed by the whole experience, unless you count the sensory overload from the amount of televisions.

Nice diverse menu at very good prices. Started with Egg in the Chicken which was seasoned well. The nachos needed a better cheese sauce; it tasted processed. The Shepard pie with pea puree was wonderful. I took a bite of my husbands chicken waffle sandwich which was delish! Crispy chicken/perfectly cooked waffles! We will be back.

I truly don't see why there are negative reviews on this place. The menu here is inspired and quite unique for a place with a hybrid sports bar feel. The service was friendly, just the right speed, and perfectly attentive. We ordered the fried provolone appetizer, which was robustly flavored and had a nice pesto kick. I followed with the black and bleu burger, which was huge, fresh, and very generous in its toppings. Our table also had the lobster mac 'n cheese and it was one of the more impressive presentations I have seen for mac 'n cheese, arriving topped with a huge and meat-filled claw. The pasta was perfectly cooked and filled with seafood pieces. We were certainly impressed and will definitely return to try one of the two dozen or so other dishes that looked equally enticing on the menu.

I went into City Grill on a Tuesday night. It was not very busy, maybe only 3 or 4 other tables. The waitress came to take our drink order and then disappeared....after 15 minutes I got up out of my seat and went to the bar to see if she could locate the waitress to bring our drinks-- the bartender had her back turned for several minutes not even acknowledging I was standing there. My son ordered a side of sour cream, which she forgot, and went back to the kitchen....and then never returned. My food was bland, no spice or flavor, and over priced. The service was terrible. I enjoyed going to Winners on a Football Sunday to watch a game or mid week for a burger after my kids soccer practices but we wont be going back to City Grill.
(1)Chris L.
Well, I had been a frequent visitor to Winners for years and years. The place was old. Dated. Tired, to say the least. So, I wasn't too surprised when, a month or so ago, they closed. I did notice the City Grill coming soon sign, so, I waited for the grand opening of that, with great anticipation (well, ok, some anticipation, I live nearby, and it is a convenient location) I got there at 7:00 on Friday night. It was fairly busy, maybe 75-80% of the tables were occupied. The interior looked nice. New floors, new lighting, etc., it bore almost no resemblance to it's past life. We were seated in a booth, and given our menus, as well as the drink menus. The specialty drinks looked appealing, based in the descriptions, but, the PRICES! The drinks were all in the $9-12 range, which is definitely at the upper range price wise for the area, possibly even higher than outback, or bonefish! I ordered a beer, (no prices listed), and a glass of house Chardonnay for my other half. (The wine prices are on the high side as well, starting at $6, with no bottle options). Then, the server comes back to the table. They are out of the house wine. The next option is $7.50 per glass. Ouch! However, to her credit, she did agree to give me that wine for $6 a glass, upon my asking. ( Issue#1 of the evening ) We then ordered an appetizer. The lobster crab cakes sounded really good. Note that I said sounded good. They also looked good when brought to the table, and were served with a fresh slaw, and aioli, along with some roasted corn salsa. The cakes themselves were over compressed, as they did not want to come apart with a fork, and I had to use a knife. Yes, I did say a knife, on a crabcake. That's a first for me. While I did see, and taste some lobster meat in them, I could not find a scrap of crab meat in them to save my life, much less taste any. It seemed as if the cakes were all filler, with a tiny smudge of lobster added for good measure I was very unimpressed. After eating the appetizer, we ordered our entrees, we were in no rush at all. I ordered the prime rib aus jus sandwich, and my other half ordered the grouper, big city style, with a soft shell crab on the side. (The soft shell is on the menu as an add on to a salad for $5, the server said that she could add a crab as a side and the price should be the same) The entrees arrived in a reasonable amount of time, and the presentation was very nice. But... I top of the grouper dish, there was another one of those nasty , tasteless lobster crab cakes. The menu description said that the grouper was topped with crab, and lobster, not a tasteless crab cake. ( Issue of the evening #2 ). That being said, otherwise, it was an excellent dish. The grouper was perfectly seasoned, and perfectly cooked, and the pasta was perfectly cooked, the sauce was excellent. The prime rib sandwich was tasty, no issue at wall, I was very happy with it. But, the soft shell was undercooked, and this was mentioned to John, the manager, who whisked it off, one third eaten, to the kitchen... ( never to be seen again.. ) ( issue #3 ) After dinner, she ordered a coffee with cream. The coffee arrived with milk, not cream as requested. Apparently they do not have cream!?!?!? ( issue #4 ) And then the bill comes. While they did discount the wine, no compensation was given for the lobster crab cakes that we did not like, and had spoken to the manager about. And, then the topper, ( issue #5 ), the soft shell crab was STILL ON THE BILL AND WE WERE CHARGED $13!!!!. Not the $5 that we had expected, and the server had said it would probably cost. The price was not the big problem, moreso the fact that the crab had been whisked off to crab never never land never to be seen again ( after she stated to the manager that she did NOT want to send it back, he went against her wishes and didn't even return the food ) I had had it. I was done. I didn't even look to see if the coffee was on the final check ( she told the server that the coffee with milk was not what she ordered ). I was so pissed off. I didn't matter. I was never ever going back, no matter what. I paid the bill, which at that point had the crab charge removed after I pointed it out, and then we left. Bottom line. The place needs. Sense work. A lot of work. I will never go back. I can deal with a few screw ups, but I don't expect something like this, after they have been open a week, and are being run by an experienced staff. The manager did seem receptive to comments, and also criticism though....hopefully he will listen and fix the issues at hand.

We have been coming here for the last 3 weeks for lunch. The food is always exceptionally good. The service is polite and timely. It deserves a second look from those who had a lesser experience.
(5)Rich B.
The food was terrible. I even stated that the dish I ate shepards pie was under flavored for the meat portion and the pea mash was overwhelming. I ate less than 1/4 of the dish and they still charged me for the meal. My wife's steak sand which was cold. I am happy to say that I paid my full bill and left a 20% tip, but I will never step in there again and I will spread the word around to avoid this place!!!!!!!!!!

Went here on a Friday night with some friends around 7pm. The place was decently busy but we were seated immediately. After perusing the menu for a bit, I was excited, pretty much everything on the menu sounded delicious. The table chose a couple appetizers including the cuban cigars (cuban sandwiches egg roll style), nachos and the pretzels. The cuban cigars were brought out in a cigar box which I thought was a nice touch. I didn't try one but the rest of the table agreed they were ok. I busied myself with the nachos, but was not really impressed. it was standard nachos. For entrees, I got the lobster mac and cheese and my gf got the chimichurri steak. I was completely underwhelmed by the lobster mac and cheese. There was plenty of lobster meat in the dish, but it was very very bland. Also the dish came with a "tangy salad" which was no more then romaine lettuce tossed in something that had hints of a vinaigrette but was way more sour. For a dish that is supposed to be a comfort food with lots of flavor, it left a lot to be desired. That being said the chimichurri steak was really good and I wish I had ordered that. Saving this restaurant from a one star was our waitress April. She was excellent and was always around to refill drinks, take orders and always had a smile on her face. Oddly though, when someone at the table had left their food unattended for a while during conversation, she would sweep past and comment "didn't like it?" or "is something wrong with the food?" which in hindsight sounds like she might run into that a lot. Maybe I had the misfortune of picking the worst dish on the menu, but I doubt it based on some other reviews. This place has a chance to offer something different and be really successful in Wesley Chapel, but they need to rework some of their menu items before that becomes a reality. The excitement I felt when reviewing the menu quickly diminished when I was actually trying the food.

I'm very conflicted about city grill. The first time we went since they reopened we were sat quickly and had very attentive servers. One was training and honestly it was hard to tell which one at first as both had there moments of confusion. But I'm guessing that was due to the new menu. We first ordered the deviled eggs. They had fried chicken on top and a small dollop of hot sauce. They were different, but good. Would have liked more of a drizzle of the sauce so I could get some on each bite. My husband got a burger, which he liked, and I got the lobster macaroni and cheese. Boy, that mac and cheese. It was not great. I know another reviewer commented on this, but they really need to change that recipe up. It was loaded with stuff. Lots of meat, corn and peas, more than the small elbow pasta could handle. But the sauce was boring. I was really hoping for a something creamy and decadent, it was neither. And there was SO much of it! I took most of it home and tried heating it up, but in the end through most of it out. The side salad was boring and unnecessary. The manager John came by, talked to us and was really pleasant. Second time was not a great experience. We had dinner up at Wiregrass and decided to stop for a drink before heading home. We stepped in around 9:30-10 and there wasn't a whole lot of people there, so we thought we'd be good. The bar was about 2/3 full tops, so we walked over to the side that was almost empty, but the area wasn't cleaned up from whoever was there last. Empty drinks and plates took up there area so I stood off to the side while I waited for it to be cleaned up as my husband went to the bathroom. The two bartenders walked by the mess multiple times and didn't bother to pick up a single glass. I stood there waiting to be acknowledged, but nothing. No "Give me a minute and I'll clean that up for you" or anything. My husband came back and we waited for another minute or so (if they didn't notice one person they were surely notice two, right?) but after nothing was done we decided to leave. Two bartenders, a server helping her one table and a hostess off doing I don't know what, and not one person noticed two customers walk right out the door. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. My suggestions, downgrade the menu a bit. Stick with what you can execute really well. Make sure your staff knows the menu really well and takes the time to acknowledge customers. Clearing dirty dishes shouldn't have to be mentioned, but apparently it does. And most importantly, don't let money walk out of your door! Hopefully management takes note cause I'd definitely like to give it another shot and change my review.

We were visiting from out of town and this restaurant was recommended by a couple of locals. We were excited to try it, but the food was below mediocre. We ordered an appetizer of cuban cigar rolls, they were very heavy with no distinct flavor, but we ordered for the table 3 locally caught grouper dishes. All were pretty much warm mush flavors, pasta overcooked, the grouper tasted fishy, we would not eat there again. However, our server was great.
(1)Sandra M.
Well, we returned tonight. Definitely pretty opposite of my last visit. Although, the waitress was very friendly, helpful and attentive, the food was unlike my last experience. Again, I ordered the Grouper Tacos. The Grouper was made completely different from last time. Last time, they were fried bite size pieces and were delicious. So delicious, that my picky daughter that refuses to eat anything was taking them right off my tacos. They were thick and cooked to perfection. This time they were flat, over cooked grilled and blackened pieces of fish. #1, they were terrible. #2, they were different then the first making the dish inconsistent which was one of the problems that Winner's had. The waitress asked how mine were and I told her and she immediately told the manager and he came over to ask me about it. He assured me that's how it's usually made there. But he brought out different grouper for me. Still not the same as last time. The manager was a very nice man who was VERY attentive. I saw him walking around and really checking things out and he seems very concerned for the well being of the restaurant. In my experience of ordering fish tacos from other establishments, they have all been fried fish. I do not like blackening seasoning and there seemed to be a lot going on in this taco dish with the blackened grouper, smokey chipotle and the corn salsa. They should just stick with making it fried grouper bites instead of blackened seasoning. The fish was actually reminiscent of dried out over cooked tilapia. City Grill has a very friendly attentive staff, but need to work on keeping their food consistent or it will end up just as Winner's did. I remember with Winner's, the fries were always different. I had to ask what kind of fries they had. They were either the good fries or the bad fries with the textured bumps on them.

Excellent food. We had the oysters, wings, grouper and a burger. Inside redone. Still have all the TV's. Plus the have a whole new menu.

Recommended to us by friends who live in New Tampa. Great prices on drafts...regular prices are like happy hour at other places. Very friendly folks, beautiful surroundings. Tried an appetizer that they call the "Cuban Cigar" which was awesome.. Wish I could go there more often.,....Nothing like it where we live. Highly Recommended
(5)Hope A.
This place is awesome! What a creative menu, friendly service and a beautiful bar. I think this may be the new go-to place for girls night!
(5)Robert M.
Worst food I've had in a long time. Waffle chicken sandwich was disgusting. Sweet potato fries were burnt . The corned beef that came on the Reuben was tough as leather. They took forever to make the food but the waitress staff was great. When we complained about the cooked fries they gave us a whole $1.25 off. Will not be going back again.

We went back to try this place since we had heard that it had changed from the previous restaurant. The place had really been renovated which was great to see. There was a nice vibe and blues music playing. Lots of large TVs going with all the games which was nice. The food was great. We tried the Cuban Cigars which were tasty. We also had the Waffle Sandwich and the Creole Gumbo. Both with large portions and really great. We definitely would order those again. Our only complaint would be with the service we got. Our server kept forgetting that we were there and would disappear for long periods of time. When she did come by it was like she was trying to rush us off even though the place wasn't full. She kept saying that she was "out of it" and "brain dead" today after we had to request silverware and plates for our app. On one of the entrees we asked an ingredient to be held (avocado) on the sandwich. The food came out from a runner and avocado was all over the sandwich in a guacamole type mixture. We tried to let our server know but she never came back. We ended up just picking it all off and it was fine. She never checked to see how our meal was the entire time. The next time she came back was to hand us our check. My friend asked if it would be ok if we took a look at the dessert menu and she seemed a bit put out by that. We finally ordered dessert Creme Brûlée which really good but was missing the fresh fruit/berries it was supposed to come with according to the menu. My friend saw the server and politely asked if he could get the fruit. She returned with 2 lemons wedges and an orange slice from the bar. That was the last time we saw her. Again, our problem seemed only to be with that specific server. The table next to us had the same server and had issues as well. All of the other staff and runners were very polite and friendly. The food was really good and I am very happy to have something like this in the area. We will go back but make sure not to sit in this server's area again. A sure must-try in the New Tampa/Wesley Chapel area.

We came here based on some friends recommendations and the yelp reviews are looking pretty good. I must admit the menu is awesome. I love the cosmetic changes within the restaurant- it looks like an entirely different place. We ordered the fried pickles to start along with the cuban cigars- These two appetizers were awesome. I love the detail of the cuban eggrolls served in a cigar box and the dipping sauce is an ashtray- love the creative detail. For dinner I ordered the chicken and waffle sandwich. First bite I thought this is really good. Second bite... a little too much and unfortunately the more I ate the more I didn't like it. They have it saturated in what I think was a sweet chili sauce (which I normally love) and then covered w/ a slaw of black beans, green peppers etc... Normally I would love everything about this- but it was really tastebud overload- to the point it wasn't enjoyable. I really think if they simplified it, it would taste better. Others at my table had the shepherds pie which looked great and from what we hear it was good, and the fish tacos were supposidely good too. The menu is so different I will still come back to try other things.

After reading a review in a local small newspaper, we decided to try City Grill for lunch based on the very favorable review, and that there had been a change in management. I'm pretty sure the reviewer ate at a different restaurant. Although our server was very nice, and was trying really hard, she had far too many tables. Service was slow, and the kitchen was even slower. We had a 20 minute wait for two sandwiches. We ordered 2 of the same fried chicken sandwiches; one done buffalo style with "blue cheese sauce" (said the menu) and the other plain, without sauce, just mayo. Both sandwiches were decent sized pieces of fried chicken breast, on a good roll, with crunchy lettuce, ripe tomato and good pickle slices. Encouraging. The "blue cheese sauce" was bottled blue cheese salad dressing, and it came on the side. Strike one. The sandwich that was supposed to be plain had obviously been done wrong and the kitchen tried their best to correct it by wiping the buffalo sauce off and putting it back in the roll. We didn't send it back because after the 20 minute wait, we were out of time and hungry. The fries were tasteless. I sent my iced tea back because it was so pale and watery, and ordered a draft beer instead. It was cold and good.

This place provides a casual atmosphere. However the service is very slow and the food is even worse. Not even edible. The potatoes were chunky and smelled horrific. The gumbo was topped with what tasted like packaged brown gravy. Spent $94 for the 5 of us and left the food on the table.

My husband and I went to City Grill tonight for dinner and to watch football. We thought the restaurant looked good. New flooring, nicely painted walls and the window film had been removed which was a huge improvement. For our appetizer we ordered the nachos and thought they were good. For dinner I had the Cobb salad and my husband had the fish tacos which came with a big bowl of chili. We both enjoyed our meals and found our server to be professional and attentive. We'll return to City Grill again to try additional menu items.
(4)Rob B.
The decor is nice and the menus inspired. There is a cross of sports bar and nice restaurant. The line is a bit blurred I personally could do without the TV's everywhere. Also if they want to tout themselves as a gastro pub I believe they need to get a more carefully selected tap list. Some local beers and other craft beers from around the country would make this a must stop for me. As it is they have several draft selections so most folks can find something. The food is at a reasonable price point and several tasty options.

For a Friday, middle of the day, I came here on my lunch break and there were not too many people here. The ones that were here were mostly sitting by the bar. I let the server know right away that we were on our lunch hour, so she can be conscious of our time we had for lunch. The lunch menu online even says that it would be quicker wait. She was always lost in the back of the restaurant and pretty MIA, when we were actually ready to order. If I hadn't asked her for a lunch menu, you know she would have just served us from the dinner menu. If you are not aware that they have a lunch menu, they surely would have charged the more expensive price rather than the lunch menu price. The lunch menu consists of a share menu where you can share a sandwich with a soup or salad for like 10-12. Not bad. They also have options where they have a few things for $6. I didn't get to take a picture because she took the menus away real fast, faster than anything she ever did the whole entire time she was there. We both ordered the cabbage roll. It is one cabbage roll the size of your fist with ground beef inside it, and tomato sauce on top with mushrooms. Underneath there were mashed potatoes. I found this to be no big deal. Not much flavor except for the fact that it was actually pretty sweet for my taste buds. For the fact that the service was pretty slow, and not attentive, and the food was no big deal, I would say ehh, no thank you next time. It also is very loud. They want to make it a gastro-type bar but really, maybe just keep it a bar.

Love the atmosphere and the staff! Kristin the Bartender remembers your order, she places a new drink before you have finished the one you have. The owners strive to make this a fantastic dining experience!

Service was so bad and they were out of most items on menue. Place is not kids friendly because there no separate place away from the bar for families. They wanted to charge full price drink for the kids plus their meal price. What made my day just ok, is that my chicken waffle was good. I will not go back there.

I don't know what happened, the burger I had was horrible, I ordered med well and received a dry over cooked burger. My friend had some pasta dish with thawed out frozen fish pieces in a horribly mutilated sauce! The French fries were dry, thank goodness for the raspberry ice tea and the nice server, one star each.

My husband and I thought this was a pretty decent place. Friendly, quick service. The drunken chicken was pretty good, and my husband really enjoyed the Baha Taco with blackened grouper. I would come back for sure.

Formerly called Winners Sports Bar, the wings were good, and the other standard bar food was part for the course. Now it's changed it's name and it's just plain bland. Their prices went up and food quality went down. The decor is lacking. Won't be going back, even if you paid me...

This place is awful! I've been here several times thinking each time it would get better. I got the pleasure to meet the lady owner of this establishment, she was extremely rude. I don't know what country this lady is from and I guess it shouldn't matter but she was extremely rude to me and I am from this country. I work in this community as an RN and me and my stethoscope will be going somewhere else! But in all fairness I have not met the co-owner I'm sure if he knew she was being rude to his customers he wouldn't like it.

Omg! Save your $$. I ordered the Jambalaya, it was so salty I literally took 3 bites and could not eat it anymore. That was the first time I've eaten at City Grill and trust me, it will be the last!

I want to love City Grill, I do. Wesley Chapel could definitely benefit from the kind of upscale eatery this establishment is trying to be, but...the place still gives off the vibe of a local dive sports bar wrapped in stain-free new clothes. The food isn't horrible, but it's not high-cuisine. And sometimes that's okay. For instance, maybe I DO want to hunch over an okay/drippy chicken and waffle sandwich...or explore the just-odd-enough-to-make-me-order-it appeal of Cuban Cigar Eggrolls (aka South-Southeastern Eggrolls?). If you're into the simple pleasures of steak and seafood, chances are you will find something to eat here. Why City Grill loses repeat business from me is because there's 1) a woefully limited selection of options for "alternative" diet dinner companions (if you're dining there with a vegetarian or vegan, for example, I guarantee they won't want to come back) and 2) I know where to get better food and a better selection of beer within a short driving distance from this establishment. I do see that City Grill is trying to add French fare to their menu options, and, to be honest, I haven't given that a sampling yet. It might be quite good. But, still being honest, I'm not feeling terribly compelled to say "Oui" to another visit there.

Horrible management!!! My fiancé and I along with a co-worker and our 9 year old daughter went here on 8-22-15 for a benefit event that was a motorcycle ride also. We were invited by a friend that had made some baskets and donated them for the auction later in the day. Upon arrival it was extremely packed and way over crowded. We finally found a spot inside to sit and went and looked at the raffle table and the auction table to get a list of items we wanted to bid on. It took us forever to find the person selling the 50/50 tickets and the raffle tickets as they were just wandering around amongst the 100's of people inside instead of being in one easy to find location. We DID BUY $20 of raffle tickets and $20 in 50/50 tickets. I then made my way up to the food and my fiancé went up to the bar to attempt to get some drinks for everyone. I BOUGHT myself a plate of food and went back to sit down all the while my fiancé was unable to get anyone to even acknowledge her to be able to buy anything to drink after nearly 15 minutes. She finally decided after waiting so long and being so hot inside due to the overcrowding to walk next door to the Subway store where she bought 3 Dasani waters for us and a Diet Coke for herself. She also bought some cookies for our 9 year old and the other child sitting with us that didn't want any of the food they had to offer. The auction started and we were sitting waiting on the items we wanted to bid on. A blonde lady that we later determined was the owner's wife, and seemed to be intoxicated, came over to our table and very rudely stated to my fiancé that this was a benefit event and we were being disrespectful by having the waters and the cookies on our table. She then said we had to REMOVE the items from HER PROPERTY. This after we had already spent $45 and we were sitting waiting to spend a couple hundred more on the auction items we wanted. We tried to explain it to her that we couldn't get any drink service and she became even more hateful and rude. My fiance took all of our drinks outside and put in the car and came back in when she started in on her again as she walked in the door. It became pretty heated at this time as my fiancé told her to get out of my face and leave me alone. The lady then told her we could leave her property. My coworker attempted to talk to her telling her it was hot and we just bought water and a few cookies for the kids. She rudely told him if he was going to side with us he could get off of her property too.... In all my life I have never been treated so rudely by a business, especially over 3 bottles of water. Maybe management shouldn't drink at their own events. So we ended up with a plate of food and $40 in tickets left on a table that we didn't get to even use.... i guess she saved us about $200 but she guaranteed that I will NEVER return to her business as long as they have anything to do with it!

Honestly the worst food ever. I Never write reviews, but seriously, save your money. And I Really Wanted to like this place. Ordered the appetizer platter, over fried previously frozen apps. Ordered steak, never heard of "hanger" steak, they were out of this anyhow. Ordered hamburger on servers recommendation, ordered it medium rare, came out well done. I was not going to complain, just chalked it up to " should have listened to yelp reviews". I would give minus 3 stars if possible. . Sorry, just save your money and go to Buger King in front...
