Consistent high quality food and a reasonably priced summer menu!

They really earned the fourth star with the blueberry waffle. Most waffles are pretty chewy but this one was crisp on the outside and tender in the center. "tender" isn't usually a word I associate with waffles. Absolutely perfect. Blueberries were fresh and delicious. We also tried the buttermilk chicken salad with living lettuce. It was very good, better than I expected, and the chicken was tender juicy breast meat. The only thing we found underwhelming was the much lauded tuna tacos. Relative to price they are really small. It is basically on top of a little avocado and quite a lot of rice in something that tastes like a fried wonton wrapper. The taco shape hides exactly how much rice is underneath and we found it kind of bland. Everyone seemed to think it was the best thing on the menu, we have to disagree in favor of the waffles!

  • Laura W.

Pricey, but good quality food. Avocado wedges are prettier than they taste. Tacos are served in spring roll taco shells--but it works. The skirt steak is laid across the taco, and you have to try and bite a piece of steak in half while taking a bite of taco. The shell crumbles instantly, so it is a messy affair. The tuna tacos were like eating a tuna tartare taco, with rice. Good quality, flavors, presentation.

Went to Mother's Day brunch today at Oli's in Wellington and it was not a good day for the restaurant. I understand that restaurants can run into problems getting the food out. However, our waiter, Oscar V., made sure that he ignored us while we waited. If you order french toast with fresh berries and bacon, you should not get french toast with bacon only. There is a Fresh Market a few doors down, if you run out. Oscar V. seemed very confused when I asked him where the berries were. I did get some blueberries thrown in a small dish as a consolation prize. My wife's eggs benedict was lukewarm which was met with a shrug by Oscar V also. We like this restaurant and asked to speak to the manager, but he never showed up. On the way out I was told his name was Juan. One thing I hope he wasn't doing was managing Oscar V. However we were never able to speak. When I spoke to one of the hostesses on the way out and told her that this was not one of their better days, she did apologize profusely. At least they have one employee that has some customer focus. I will not be returning for brunch. If we come back for dinner I will make sure that I request that Oscar V. not be my waiter. Very disappointing Mother's Day brunch.

My mom and I decided to try it out because we were in the area and wanted lunch. I was surprised at how nicely decorated the place was- very clean, a huge bar right in the middle of the place, and awesome light fixtures! The atmosphere was nice! We sat for a good while before being approached by our server for our drink order. I asked her what the funky buddha beer on draft was (after seeing the tap handle i happily recognized) - he response, "it's the one that tastes like a blue moon"...?! You can't ask the bartender the name? On the menu, "buttermilk chicken" grabbed our attention. We asked if this was chicken breast, or bone-in pieces, and her response was amazing (...ly stupid), "they're just like really good fried balls of chicken" - i asked for more clarification- white or dark meat - to which she said the same thing- "it's so hard to describe because it's a chicken ball". WTF is a chicken ball lady!? We ordered, and we were happy to find it was chicken breasts cut into small nugget shapes, and deep fried. It's honestly not that confusing to describe. The flatbread was ok- but was over-priced for a mushroom flatbread at $15. Our younger blonde server needs help before she's allowed to serve tables, and the lack of training for a place that could be so nice is sad!

What a beautiful restaurant and the food is out of this world. The service was excellent and everyone so pleasant. The avocados with mango sauce was to die for. Along with the tuna tacos. Yummy... Loved the place and would definitely recommend and can't wait to go back.

I came here on Mother's Day! There wasn't a wait and the service was top notch. The waiter was attentive and kind. I had 3 month old with me and they were very accommodating so that's always nice. The food is very gourmet. I think they did a pretty good job. I ordered salmon and it was very fresh. It came with assorted veggies which included arugula. Come to think of it, everything on the menu looked like it came with arugula. The chef must have a small obsession. Either way, I can't really complain! The vanilla gelato was amazing!

Absolutely delicious food. It's nice to see it not only presented beautifully but also taste healthy and fresh. Tuna tacos are really good :) Been there a few times now and it's consistently good. Service can be really slow when it's packed, so just come outside of the busy times. This place doesn't deserve a 3 star rating. Compared to the places on Yelp that get 4-5? This is significantly better quality.

I visited this restaurant when I was in town with some family. I made a reservation on open table, and when I arrived our large party of 7 was seated immediately. The service was attentive and pleasant. I chose the chef's 4 course menu. For the first course, I chose the beer cheese soup, mostly since I've been searching for good beer cheese soup since I left Minnesota. Unfortunately, I'm still searching. The flavor of this soup lacked actual beer and cheese flavor! It was too thin, and there were HUGE chunks of potato, which essentially made me feel like I was actually eating cream of potato soup. My aunt got the tuna tacos, and I think I would have been happier with that appetizer. For the second course, things improved exponentially. I chose the Necane salad, which was delicious. For the third, I chose the chicken marsala. The portion was huge, the chicken was moist and flavorful. My mom got the braised short ribs and grits, and they were so tender and flavorful. The grits were creamy and dreamy. I had the vanilla gelato for the last course, and it was a perfect ending to the meal. Overall, I would definitely come back, there was a lot more on the menu I still want to try.

Second time there and everyone's right, the tuna taco's are amazing. Every dish has been great and the service and presentation are first class. We enjoyed every aspect except....... we skipped desert, the noise level became unbearable. Next time we take our friends advise and eat outside. 5 stars on service and food.

We went to Oli's last night with a party of 6. We had reservations, so seating was no problem. The appetizers were half off, and two people from our party made dinner out of a couple of appetizers....they had the tuna tacos, and the beet salad. Both looked great and were very tasty according to our friends. I had the fried calamari, which was fantastic. My husband had a flat bread, which was good, the two others shared the clams which I tasted and that too was delicious. Oh, BTW the bread they put on the table is deadly good. Be careful not to fill up on the bread....you'll miss out on the culinary experience if you get too full..... I ordered the short ribs over grits, as well as another guest of our party. We both agreed it was delicious. My husband ordered the pasta..with a meat sauce, and another guest had chicken Marsala over mashed potatoes. No complaints. Unfortunately we were too full for dessert which looked great as we spied on other tables eating them. I definitely would recommend this restaurant for a special occasion, or a place to go with friends.....it's a bit expensive. Next time I will go a little early and take advantage of the pre fix price of $29 for a four course dinner which is the best deal on the menu if you're seated before 6:30pm.

Hello good food! Long time no see. Glad you pushed me into lobster bouillabaisse. Surprised we got a seat, no wait. And our waiter was top notch too. One of few places around here where I'd return.

Went to Oli's for lunch this past weekend while visiting family in West Palm Beach. It was my second time there, and once again, we were very happy with the food. We shared a couple of entrees, including the turkey club, the buttermilk chicken and the blackened chicken sandwich. All of the food was excellent. So flavorful and well executed. Even the bread at the start of the meal was delicious. We finished it off with their banana bread dessert which was also amazing! The place has a nice, clean and somewhat trendy feel to it, especially the time we went for dinner during our previous visit. Don't forget to ask about their specials... they usually have a nice fish and other goodies. Will definitely go back next time we are down there.

At the beginning did not know what to make of this place. As the food started to come out I was proved wrong. The food the service and wine were four star. I will return again.

I recently went here for dinner with a friend and we sat outside, because it was a beautiful night. The menu was intriguing and very inclusive, to say the least - loved every item on it and I wish I could have tried them all. We tried the Flat-bread that was the special of the night, the antipasto and the sauteed calamari, which they told us 30 min after we ordered that they were out of - no biggie. The wine list is a little on the limited side, and the prices are exaggerated. Everything we tasted, food and wine included were delicious, therefore I think that this place is definitely worth checking out, but be prepared to have a full wallet.

First, a delicious lunch seated outside. Excellent food and pleasant, competent service. Then, a couple of weeks later, dinner on a very busy evening seated inside. Delighted to say it was a repeat - the food was again excellent and, despite the crowd, the service pleasant and competent. Don't miss the tuna tacos. Look no further in Wellington!

I had a Bikini Martini with the Salmon dinner. The bartender was friendly, the food not only looked amazing on my plate but was completely delicious! I will definitely go back! On Mondays they have 1/2 price on bottles of wine. And if you arrive between 4:30-6:30 be sure to ASK FOR the special Chef menu! For $29 you will get a four course dinner! What a deal! I returned again tonight for the Panco Snapper and it was delicious! I also must say the wait staff is very friendly. If you sit outside it is a dog friendly atmosphere :)

I made reservations because every time I drive by this place, it's always packed. So I figured I'd do it just to be on the safe side. But didn't need to, since we went around 9pm ish. The look is classy and beautiful. I'm giving it 4 stars because of the food! The food was excellent! I ordered the panko snapper and my friend ordered the tuna taco. I absolutely loved my meal! I don't usually like fish, but this meal was just divine. My friend said her meal was pretty good as well. But her tacos were kind of on the small side. I would've given the place 5 stars but our waitress sucked. First, she only asked my friend what she wanted to drink and ignored me and just assumed I wanted water. Second, my meal was so hefty and large, I only ate half of it. She didn't bother asking whether I wanted a box to go and just took my plate away. I just didn't feel that she was attentive to or wants or needs. But overall, I was happy with my experience and I would definitely come back because of the food!!! It is a little pricey, but worth it!

Went for valentines day so the place was packed. Ordered a few appetizers, the beer cheese soup was a little bland, but with the bread it made for a good combo. the blackened chicken flatbread was great. By that point we were all pretty full. Had the skirt steak which was a little under cooked but pretty flavorful. The wife had the shrimp/goat cheese ravioli special. the shrimp were a little tough but other than that pretty good. The ten dollar drinks were a little steep for Welly world but I would go back.

I ate here on opening day years ago, but the fact that I haven't been back should say something. The experience wasn't horrible. It just wasn't memorable for the price. The restaurant is a trendy foodie kind of place. The only misfire was when I ordered the coconut shrimp appetizer. It was literally shrimp placed inside of a coconut. Not what I was expecting. The rest of the meal was completely forgettable. Not terrible. Not spectacular. Just not my kind of place.

They sell $9 Beringer Pinot Noir for $32. Food is plain. I'd have to be dragged here.

One would think that the buttermilk chicken would be a cut above KFC but not so...meat overcooked despite caution given to waiter not to do so. KFC actually better. Aioli not really aioli...just mayo with chopped stuff in it. Same overcooked grilled chicken on beet salad. 'Marinated' tomatoes turned out to be, not marinated tomatoes, but roasted Roma tomatoes. Ok, but not marinated and we were looking for something raw and fresh to offset the fried chix. Service good but food ordinary.

I went here with my husband and another couple, who suggested we go. The meal was okay. I feel it's expensive for what you get, so suggest you go for happy hour. The drinks are over priced! Again, happy hour is the only way to go.

The food is amazing. Chef/Owner Dustin is out of control. It's by far the best Wellington has to offer. Their other seafood restaurant was great took. Never been to the new Place White Horse but I hear great things. Keep up the great work guys. You are doing a bang up job!!!

Easily my favorite restaurant. I have tried so many things on the menu from the veal to the buffalo ricotta ravioli and everything has been fantastic. The service is impeccable. Staff is always knowledgable and will help you decide on what to enjoy. I always ask for help deciding on drinks and the staff has never steered me wrong. The ambiance is great I always feel comfortable and relaxed. This place is a must.

  • Josh J.

I'd probably give this 4 stars but I'm trying to even out all the unfair reviews- I did not think it was expensive or small portioned. Between the bread and my food, I can't imagine anyone leaving full unless they are gluttons! The food was good, a lot of attention to detail. For instance, the bread had herbs on it, the olive oil had a piece of garlic in the dish. The olive oil itself had a very mild taste, more appropriate for cooking, but not bad. My chicken soup was good but it was probably ladled from a large pot. Compared to a real 5 start restaurant, the soup would be an assembled work of art not just ladled into a bowl from a pot. The whole place had a nice atmosphere from the light fixtures to the fresh white tablecloths. Service was great, they checked on my table many times during my meal.

Having passed by several times, my wife and I thought we'd give Oli's a try for lunch. Right off the bat we were disappointed by the Beer Cheese soup, a favorite of ours. The soup was thin and a bit bitter. I was prepared for the worst on this outing and was surprised buy our next course, the Caprese Salad: The Mozzarella was fresh and very tasty and according to the server, the tomatoes, both red and green were locally grown and delicious. We finished off with a tasty flatbread. I was going to give 4 stars if not for the soup but opted for 3. I will give Oli's a second chance and hope they get it all right next visit.

well ive eaten here about 8-10 times now this past year and i have to say its among the top restaurants in Wellington. The food truly is delicious. never had a bad dish. The Papadelle with short rib is to die for, so is the Chicken parm.,,,,so far everything i have tried has been extraordinary. The managers Amer, Juan and Ash, are all so personable, i knew each of their names the first night. Its got a little bar - nightlife on the weekends and you can often find the Polo / Equestrian ppl in there. Great Staff,, good food selection, good decor. indoor - outdoor seating. I have gone w friends and / or family and it never disappoints us!! Joei

My family is very picky with the restaurants we call our "favs", but Oli's is definitely one of them. I love going here for lunch on a nice day and sitting outside. The inside can be a little stuffy, but that's probably just my preference. Do yourself a favor and get the tuna tacos. Seriously AMAZING. Staff has always been friendly. They have been out of things a couple times that I have been there, so that is the only reason I give 4 instead of 5 stars. Still awesome and still one of my favorite restaurants.

  • Susan N.

The food was very good. We had pasta with clams and mussels and a pan-roasted salmon special. The salads were excellent -- Mediterranean and "living lettuce" salads. We also were very excited about the Monday night half-price wine bottles. We loved our (usually $60) bottle of Livio Felluga pinot grigio. The problem -- and it was a big one -- was the service. The servers were in high school (they told us), and they were very sweet. And this is not their fault, but they had clearly not been trained. At the table behind us, the server had to find a manager to open the bottle of wine. We did not receive our bottle of wine until about 45 minutes after we ordered it. Our water was NEVER refilled unless we flagged someone down and asked. And they kept asking to clear our plates when we were obviously (I thought) still eating. They asked to clear our plates 5 or 6 times before we were done. If Oli's could figure out the service, we'd be back. Otherwise, I'd go for slightly lesser food, and an experience where I had to put in less effort.

  • Steve M.

they said it was just a bad night - but if it could go wrong, it did. chilled white wine was served in hot from the dishwasher glasses, appetizers were never cleared when the entrees arrived. One of our entrees went back three times. blah, blah, blah. I will give it another try as manager very accommodating and apologetic. when food was finally enjoyed all had compliments, just service was not there and misteakes a plenty.

  • Jamie W.

I'm sad to say that although the food was good, Oli's is going to win an award for worst restaurant of the year. We made a reservation for 6 people outside and when we arrived we were told it's only a request and we would have to sit inside. The hostess then said we should submit a card with our preferences if we wanted to sit outside in the future. Wouldn't the preference be obvious enough when asking to make a reservation for a table outside? The mind blowing part of our meal was the service when we learned my friends entree was sold out she had to reorder so we decided to split my entree and add a salad. When it arrived with no extra plate we asked if they could please split it out (I always assume I may have to pay a split plate charge). Our waiter looked irritated but took our plates away and 5 minutes later brought them back and said the kitchen was too busy to split them out. WOW. I have never had this happen at any restaurant anywhere. He didn't even bring an extra plate and offered no apology. When the bill came and 20% gratuity was included my husband asked to speak to a manager becase he didn't think it was 20% service with what had happened with our meals. I personally think that because a 20% service charge was included the waiter had no motivation whatsoever to split our plates. The owner came over and my husband explained the situation and he never gave us any type of apology at all, only excuses and made my husband feel like this was all our fault. This was absolutely ridiculous. Every single person at the table was speechless and they were all local people and we were the guests in town. Restaurants are more than just the food they serve but also the atmosphere and service. The service was unfriendly and unaccomodating and the atmosphere was one of hostility, rudeness and lack of class.

My wife talked me into Oli's with our teenage son. She had dined here before while visiting friends and didn't pick up the check. She assumed it was reasonable because a large party of tween girls from the dance studio next door were also having dinner. We were early for dinner, around 6pm and were the only ones in the place. We sat outside and I felt like we were exposed. This is located in a shopping plaza so they do what they can. Now the food, was the best we have had since moving to Wellington in 10/11. Very pricey for the portions but you get what you pay for and we were all happy with the presentation and flavors. Service was decent and not pushy. We will come back on special occasions.

I've been to Oli's a few times and it's always 2 thumbs up. The food is incredible and the services has always been fairly quick (even at rush hour). Later at night, they cater toward to the night crowd and it's always a good time.

What a HUGE RIP!!! Their food came out cold, their fish wasn't cooked throughout. I also had a sald with three pieces of tiny shrimp with spring lettuce, three tiny cut up pieces of mago and this is what I got for $18.00 should have been $6.50. They were rude and I would never ever go back. This place WILL NOT LAST! Ripped no more !

I'm rarely in Welly, but was driving back from a business trip on the west coast and this place was recommended for lunch. Oli's is located in a strip mall near the Wellington Mall, they have a good size dining room, open doors and seating outside. We ate here for lunch on a Monday, around 1.30 p.m. which seems late for lunch, but the place was still very busy. We were seated promptly right by the open doors, but then were able to move outside. It took some while to get menus and then we were served/waited on by the hostess and two waiters. The hostess was friendly, but when we asked fish of the day she had no clue. Service over all was a little strange, maybe they were short staffed? The hostess gave us menus, after some delay, she got us drinks, we never got bread at all, then we were waited on by someone else who said he would be our waiter, but he never showed up again, food was brought by a third person and we were checked out, again, by I think the same third person. Had to ask for the check as well. We got the impression that they are not used to waiting on people who are on a schedule or who have to work, the main audience seemed to be ladies who lunch or perhaps tourtists. Food, while they may have service issues upfront, the food was served quite promptly. Food was also very good. I had the Floribean shrimp salad and it was both beautiful and tasty, lots of fresh, yummy greens, with a mix of mango, edename, peppers, and 4-5 big shrimp that were well prepared. My co-worker got the tuna tacos which she absolutely loved, she got 4 since it was her meal and 4 was the right portion for lunch. The price is a bit on the higher side for portions, but it was very well prepared, fresh and tasty. Overall impression, food was great, service was iffy and uneven, but everyone was nice. I'd say food was 4 star, maybe 3.5 star for food b/c of price. Service was 2 star.

We were a party of 7 celebrating a birthday. One of us ordered the bouillabaise and the fish was so bad that it smelled and tasted of iodine. When we called this to the attention of our server & then the manager, they did nothing other than replace the dish with something else from the menu. Had she eaten the fish, our friend could have been quite ill. How did something like this ever get to the table? And then how could the manager not even try to make things better by comping her meal or buying drinks or dessert? We also had pre-ordered a birthday cake. One of our party, could not eat it because of food allergeis. No attempt was made (& this was the same person who got the bad fish!) to give her an alternate dessert. The boxed cake remains were inadvertently left on the table. The birthday girl returned within minutes to get the cake but according to the server, the kitchen staff had eaten it. And to add insult to injury, when we did get the check, it was completely wrong! The lack of customer service will keep all of us from going back. In a town that sees 1/3 of its population depart in the summer months, it would make sense to take care of those of us who are here year-round.

I LOVE Oli's!!! Everything about it is fantastic! I'll start with the food. Oh. my. god. I like to start with the tuna tacos which are literally divine! This is a must try. The grilled skirt steak literally got me addicted to skirt steak. I've never had such a well cooked steak out at a restaurant. I am a huge steak snob and have such trouble finding a steak that I love when I eat out. This is perfect. It is so juicy and tasty. It is hard for me to even write about it because I want one right now so bad. It is a huge portion too, I have never been able to finish more than half. I think it is supposed to come with rice and beans but I always ordered it with mashed potatoes and avocado instead....delicious!! I actually haven't ordered anything else because that's what I had the first time I was there and it was so good I ordered it every single time after that. The other thing I love about Oli's is the atmosphere. I love coming to eat at around 10pm, because after dinner it turns into a party! So after we are done eating we stay at our table but also can walk around and mingle at the bar. Tons of good looking fun people to chat with! This place reminds me a lot of Cucina in Palm Beach. It is the Cucina of Wellington! Oh...not to mention you get to hang out with some hot Polo guys...which is always a plus :)

Food is creative and fresh, decor is upscale, and overall a pretty decent experience. Take a star off for my pet peeve of waiting 20 minutes for the check after we were clearly done with our meal. And at 2:00 in the afternoon in a pretty empty restaurant.

Looking at the TripAdvisor reviews, we decided to come here on a Tuesday night around 8ish. It was pretty busy for a weeknight. We sat at some small tables across from the bar which had a nice big screen tv. The decor and waiter were nice, but that was about it. They brought us out buttery bread with olive oil parmesan dip; the bread wasn't warm and just tasted o-k. Appetizers were a mojito and wild mushroom-truffle flatbread. Definitely not worth the $12...the bread was not crispy, was overwhelmed by cheese and had barely any mushrooms. Season's 52 flatbread is much better and more creative. We then went with 2 entrees: Their fish of the day (which was salmon with mango slaw and "island rice") and their sesame herb-crusted tuna. The description is better that the actual taste. Neither dish was anything special. The tuna was missing something. I even asked for some soy sauce to try to add flavor to the tuna; but it tasted off with soy sauce...Now that I think of it, I should have asked for ponzu sauce. You shouldn't have to try to "fix" your food at a restaurant. The salmon was ok. Again not worth the price. Each entree was around $30. Looking online, it seems they have a more affordable, (but still pricey)... prix fixe, four course "Sunset menu," for $29. Our friends like this place, so we may have to go there once more and if so, will try the sunset menu. Will let you know if we give it a second shot. But overall, this meal was an Expensive, disappointing dinner.

Very disappointing ! I made a reservation on open table 2 hours a head and got a confirmation. When we arrived we were informed that the reservation had just come through and if we wanted to be seated we would have to sit outside. At first we said ok because the hostess said she would turn on the heaters. I realized that it was just way to windy and then they added two chairs to a table for four instead of joining another table on the end and I said that we would wait for a table inside. 3 minutes later we were ushered inside to a round table for six that was surrounded by several other empty tables. At that moment my son and I realized that they hadn't wanted to seat us inside because we had two children in our party. Then the food. Fried calamari was soggy. Who could mess up a salad? This place. My husband's steak was ice could. Both my son and myself ordered the boneless short rib over polenta which was completely devoid of flavor. I couldn't add enough salt to make it good. My daughter in law had the panko snapper which she said was tasty inspite of not being hot. The bread pudding was the only thing that there wasn't a problem with. Then comes the check, I basically knew the prices going in but they charged $5 for my granddaughter's orange juice and they had only given her 1/2 glass because she is a kid. I knew I would never give this place a second chance. Buyer beware if you don't mind over paying for mediocre cold food this is the place for you. As an aside the server was timely and accommodating.
